Summary: Loki offers you a dance; a one shot A/N: This is my first fic/oneshot!! It's pretty rough and really short but I'm still trying to learn so if anything just kindly critique me without hate pls. But either way I had fun writing it sooo at least there's that! You had arrived to the dance fashionably late, wearing an elegant outfit that had everyone's eyes glued to you. You decided to find your friends, Wanda and Nat, who had been waiting on you expectantly.

"Oh my Gosh! Babes, you look amazing!!" Nat proclaimed as you approached.

"Ahh! Yes! give us a twirl!" Wanda said excitedly.

"Oh my gosh, guys, stop you're making me blush!!"

The three of you chatted for awhile when all of the sudden a slower, more waltz-worthy song started to play.

Before you knew it, your friends had been whisked away, and you were left to simply watch them, goofy grins on their faces, matched with star struck eyes.

As silly as it looked from the outside, all you wished for was for somebody to sway with you the same, their hand on your back to guide you, and to whisper sweet nothings into your ear.

And, if you were being completely honest with yourself, you didn't just want that to be with anybody.

No. You had your eyes on a very special someone indeed.

Almost right on cue, you heard that familiar, kind voice come from beside you.

"Hello, lady y/n."

"Oh, hey Loki!" you responded, having been brought back to reality by the one person whom you were fantasizing of.

"You doing alright?" he asked genuinely, almost as if he could tell something was on your mind.

"Yeah just, watching the dancers. It's rather fun actually."

"Well certainly not nearly as fun dancing yourself."

"Me? Dance? Ha! Never in a million years." you responded, trying to hide how much you truly wished you could. "And what about you?" you asked, "I mean, I'm assuming you've experienced plenty of dances and balls being the prince of Asgard."

"Well yes, I suppose so," He said with a chuckle. "except, I never managed to find the right partner."

You furrowed your brows slightly, confused as to what he meant by this statement.

"What do you mean by-"

But you were interrupted by the surprise of seeing his hand, stretched out as an offer for you to take.

You hesitated; sure, this had happened before, but all it ever had meant in the past was to be a cruel joke made by boys from your school, who thought it hilarious to humiliate girls for the sake of 'fun'.

But this was different. In his eyes, those beautiful, emerald eyes, you only saw genuine hope and excitement, the kind of look that could only come from someone who wasn't playing a cruel joke and who truly cared.

You decided to take the chance, placing your hand onto his, and the two of you walked towards the dance floor.

It was just as you had dreamed. The two of you swayed and twirled all throughout the dance floor, working together in perfect harmony step by step, as if you could read each others very minds. You had heard of the term before, of it feeling like "we were the only ones in the room", but wow was it a feeling to experience. His gorgeous green eyes, passionate yet gentle, looking into yours as if you were someone whom he cared for, someone who he... loved?

The song ended, and the two of you stood there for a moment, not sure what to do next.

Finally he spoke up, grinning to himself mischievously as he did.

"You know, for someone who never dances, I must admit you were quite exceptional."

You giggled to yourself, humored by his sarcasm, and yet flustered all the same.

"Thank you, Loki."

More silence.

"Well, I suppose I should head back up to my room," you stated. "Me and Steve have a big mission tomorrow, and I really should get some rest."

"Of course, Lady y/n." He took your hand in his, bowing down to kiss the top of it. "It has been a lovely time with you this evening."

Frick was this flirting??? Or was he just acting out what was custom, if not habit to do as a prince?

Either way, you smiled back in response, so as to say the same, and reluctantly headed to your room. Whether he was flirting with you or not, which you embarrassingly admitted to yourself that you couldn't tell, it had truly had been a wonderful time, and you were just happy to have someone like him in your life.

Blue: Unlabeled any, started dating Yellow and asked SC to join [if he wanted to]. They usually tend the garden whenever the others leave her alone. [Definitely sneaks a munch or two of netherwart] Everyone HATES how obsessed she is over netherwart and just wants them to stop pls..... He loves all his partners and thinks they're all just the cutest like ever.

Dynamics:

Red x SC: Usually messes with him, with loud and other noises to wake him up. Likes hanging out with him, just sitting around and drawing.

Red x Yellow: Just likes listening to her ramble about nerd stuff even though they retain nothing from it.

Red x Green: Always wants to try and prank him more after "The Prank". Always fails though...

Red x Blue: They bond over farms and farm animals, they're probably the only one who mildly tolerates Blue's netherwart problem. They fish together a lot :3 I also think Red thinks of Blue closer than everyone else cuz of their shared interests.

SC x Red: Cuddles with them a lot, likes how their tail is really soft, despite never seeing them take care of it, not even once.

SC x Yellow: He kinda hates how they usually just use him for their science experiments. [Yellow probably did some surgery and research on his body]

SC x Green: Besties and dating?!?!?! Real?!?!?!

One hand carding his fingers through your hair. “We haven’t been able to come here in a while, we have so many good memories here.” He hums, pulling you closer to him, recalling the very first time he brought you here. “This is where I told you I loved you for the first time, remember?”

His heart soars when he hears you laugh, recalling the memory, him taking his medicine to qualm his aching stomach from nerves. The way he felt as if his face would melt with the heat from his red cheeks. His words came out nervously, surging in to capture your lips with his own when you reciprocated his confession. His teeth clashing with your own in the kiss, so much so that he had punctured your lip. “How could I forget?” Your voice pulled him from his thoughts, his smile aimed at you once more. As he felt the weight of the velvet box that weighed down his pocket, he just hoped you could make yet another memory in your special place.

I really like your analysis of MK1's storyline, specifically with Bi-Han. I totally agree that there are some significant plot holes and missing context in the story. Bi-Han in particular seemed weird to me I guess? His betrayal just stood out as really weird to me.

Like, there should have been more build up or something. Idk, maybe it was obvious to everyone but me, but his betrayal actually caught me off guard. I even thought it was a fake-out till he injured Kuai.

(I just don't know why Bi-Han would expect Kuai to go along with Shang Tsung. Even if Bi-Han believed his brothers would stick by him over Liu Kang, there's no way he would have thought they'd team up with Shang Tsung, right? Kuai Liang is honorable and someone who protects the weak. He'd never put up with Shang Tsung's and Quan Chi's atrocities.)

I just really want some more backstory. I need to see his perspective. Especially regarding the accident that killed the previous Grandmaster.

Another Thing

Bi-han genuinely seems to regret Sindel's death but still broke out Shao?? His lines with both Mileena and Kitana seem contradictory at times (although that could just be because the conversations take place at different points in time).

Is Bi-han blind to the evil acts his "partners" have done and will do, or does he just not care? If he just doesn't care, I'm really confused at how he turned out so different from his brothers because both of them seem to be very compassionate.

I could go on but this is long enough as it is.

MK1 Bi-Han is ambitious, impulsive, and above all, arrogant. I wouldn't be surprised if Bi-Han was so confident in his decision to betray Earthrealm that he thought he could convince Kuai Liang and Tomas to follow him.

And the "accident" thing is so funny to me. Was it a car crash? Did he fall down the stairs? Buried in an avalanche? Who knows.

Bi-han probably doesn't regret Sindel's death, but he does sympathize with Mileena and Kitana. He strikes me as the "ends justify the means" type of guy. Although he feels the sisters' pain, he's still doing what he has to in order to accomplish his goals. That would mean breaking Shao out of prison... benefits him in some way? Maybe he just wanted to make some noise in order to distract everybody from his shenanigans.

He told Tomas that their mother would "applaude" his actions. To me, that seems like he was closer to their mother than he was to their father. Maybe she is the reason he doesn't see the honor in serving Earthrealm. Maybe she would tell him, "You're destined for more than serving Liu Kang. You will lead the Lin Kuei to greatness."

So other than Bi-Han being a mama's boy, we know nothing about her. It could be possible that she thought Liu Kang was holding the Lin Kuei back and led Bi-Han to think the same way. Not a very evil backstory, but a decent explanation as to why he's so different from his brothers.

Don't get me wrong, I love it when a character is evil for evil's sake. But a character like Bi-Han needs more depth to explain his motivations.

Tldr: Bi-Han has a heart, but he's also hot-headed and will do anything to get what he wants.

Why can't I bring this same energy to my English Lit class like come on brain
