A = Aftercare (what they’re like after sex)

Jonathan is very attentive afterwards to your needs. Even though his heart is still thumping and he’s desperate to catch his breath–he makes sure your okay, if you need anything, and if…the deed lived up to your expectations.

As easy as it would be to say his favorite part of himself is his brain…Jonathan as we have seen is very fond of his legs. After years of being made fun for them, he was able to develop an appreciation for their length and agility. Meanwhile, for his partner…it’s difficult to choose, but if he had to he would likely go with their eyes. He loves how they look up at him, so full of love.

Jonathan is very serious. He knows how important this intimacy can be to a relationship and he doesn’t want to screw it up. It will take some time, likely years of being together and sexually active with his partner before he can relax a little.

He’s almost meticulously well-groomed. However, a part of me feels like it’s easy to keep himself groomed because he doesn’t grow that much ahir. And the carpets do match the drapes. 

I = Intimacy (how are they during the moment? the romantic aspect)

Jonathan is very affectionate. He makes sure you’re comfortable, that you want this as badly as he does. He wants to please you as much as himself. He wants you to feel as loved as you make him feel. Very considerate, thoughtful, and sweet in the moment.

It’s not something Jonathan does on a regular basis. Unless someone becomes the object of his affections…He has often jacked off when he woke up to take care of his morning wood or he will seek release while in the privacy of a shower.

While it may take some time and exploration before this Jonathan develops certain kinks. Especially if it’s characters he has read about in his books with his partner. He’s thought of an alternate ending to Sleepy Hollow.

Jonathan has always been a private person. I would imagine he would like to keep these moments private. Hence his favorite place to do the deed is in the safe space of the home he shares with his partner (or one of your own living spaces). Anywhere that can guarantee the utmost privacy.

If he’s in his partner’s vicinity for an extended period of time, just enveloped in their arms, enjoying their caresses and basking in their affections–can get him excited.

Jonathan has already been humiliated through most of his younger years. He very much would not be into that at all. And don’t even think to inquire about using fear gas…it’s a tool against his adversaries not his loved ones, his partner should be nowhere near it.

He is very uncertain about giving at first, but he does get better with practice. He does much prefer receiving; to have such doting attention, to be driven crazy with euphoria. There is no better high that not even enabling fear onto others can achieve.

Jonathan’s pace is gradual. He’s mostly slow and steady, but once he and his partner are close to the peak…all bets are off as his pace gets faster until the end.

Jonathan isn't really a fan of quickies, he understands why they may be…necessary if his partner is in a rush or some stress needs to be relieved but he doesn't want to make it a routine thing. 

R = Risk (are they game to experiment? do they take risks? etc.)

Jonathan doesn't like to take too many risks at your expense. He's all for trying and exploring new sensations with his partner though, especially if they're more experienced. 

S = Stamina (how many rounds can they go for? how long do they last?)

Oof uh hmm…he can probably last about two rounds at most but he does last about an average amount of time, especially once he's more experienced. 

T = Toys (do they own toys? do they use them? on a partner or themselves?)

Jonathan isn't likely to own toys or really use them. If his partner brings it into the mix, he's hesitant but will give them a try to please them. 

U = Unfair (how much they like to tease)

His partner is more likely to tease than Jonathan is. When he wants something he's determined to have it then and there by any means necessary. Not that he hasn't tried to ruffle his partner's feathers but he always seems to fall short, while his partner makes him a flushing mess.

V = Volume (how loud they are, what sounds they make, etc.)

He's not terribly loud. The neighbors won't be making any complaints. But he does whimper and groan mostly.

W = Wild card (a random headcanon for the character)

While Jonathan likely doesn't watch porn, he has definitely read smut novels. Whether he meant to or not the first time he came across a sex scene, it became his first real window into sex. 

X = X-ray (let’s see what’s going on under those clothes)

Jonathan is a tall lanky bean of a man. He's not girthy but his cock is longer than most. 

Y = Yearning (how high is their sex drive?)

When he has a partner the yearning is fairly strong and his need for them is high. He becomes borderline obsessed and is always willing to have them if they are.

Z = Zzz (how quickly they fall asleep afterwards)

It takes a moment for Jonathan's heart to calm down enough for him to try and doze off. The adrenaline is still coursing through him, so don't be surprised if he's reading something to get him to calm down and he'd be more than happy to read to his partner if they can't sleep either.

Here are some head cannons to get you through the day:

This man is very rigid in his way of helping others. If they are in emotional pain, he will be as accommodating as he can, and he will listen to you. But if you’re physically sick, he’s most likely just going to take care of your physical well-being. His bedside manner leaves much to be desired, but he still tries to help you out as much as he can.

He will drop everything just to be with you, he will rearrange his entire schedule to fit around being near his sick partner. 

He won’t let you eat or drink anything with caffeine if your vocal folds are dry. He wants you to get better so he’s the type of person to store all of the sodas and coffee in the house in a safe. He’s the only one with the combination.

You are confined to your bed or on the living room couch. He doesn’t want you moving around or doing anything physically taxing. He will bring you any items you need. If he sees you getting up before he thinks that you were getting better, he will pick you up and put you back.

He ends up giving you a bell to ring whenever you need him 

He’s the one cooking. Final decision. No compromise.

He will check your temperature every hour, make sure that you’re taking the medication you need, and is just watching over you

He will buy a bunch of disposable items for you to use so that you don’t contaminate the rest of the house

He still makes sure that you’re entertained and happy, he brings you whatever you need. If this man is still teaching, and he is in an online lecture, and he hears you cough, he will put the call on hold just so he can check on you

When Jonathan is sick:

He will avoid admitting that he is sick for the longest time

He absolutely despises being sick due to not being as productive, so, if you offer to help him at all, he’s most likely going to decline

He will go to the doctor if you ask him to, but he’s probably more happy to pretend he’s not sick at all

Jonathan is still taking over-the-counter medication, but claims that it’s for something else. Everyone knows he’s sick and that he is just in denial 

Eventually, you might be able to get Jonathan to relax enough to take off work if he’s still a professor. It will take a lot of time though.

If he has a cold, he will be in denial for a full week before he admits that he’s sick

He knows he’s sick, he just doesn’t like having his schedule disrupted

No one talks about how isolating Uni is lmao, I'm dead bored so I'm gonna yap about all my favourite Scarecrows because I somehow find something I like in all of them.

MASSIVE SCARECROW RANT INCOMMING

Most controversially, I actually like Nolanverse Scarecrow. I'm not saying that Cillian suited the roll of Jonathan crane but he certainly did make a very contrasting version of the scarecrow. There was a weird charm in the burlap sack mask, like yea it was lazy as shit but it kinda looked good? Like it looked like a mad man posing as a refined gentleman if you get what I mean. It was strange that instead of being this freaky little ginger guy, Jon was a refined, well polished gentleman instead.

That being said I do think there are better designs and characters of Jon's similar too Nolanverse. Eg. Man bat scarecrow! He had the suit and the mask and the charming personality. He was Nolan verse if Nolanverse was done correctly. Also he is a FREAK Likee....a massive freak. He simulated man bat and his girls lives??? Like....whaaat. masochistic guy who strangely looks good but also wears the most corny ass scarecrow outfit. How can he just go from an expensive suit to green and burlap digs....cmon now. But I think he has alot of Charm and I really really like his design and personality.

One of my most favorite Jon interpretations Btaa Scarecrow. He was my first look at a good scarecrow Character (Cuz I watched nolanverse first lmao) and ultimately the one who got me into the scarecrow hell hole. He was playful, sadistic, and a drug dealer terrorist selling Class A hallucinogenics TO KIDS. This guy was a fucking lunatic!! Zero redeeming qualities and I LOVED THAT. He was purely there to throw hands (and fear toxin). And then he gets an almost unrecognisable personality swap when he is in his psychologist attire?? Like this man was a class A manipulator, "helping" people by day and causing street ripping terror by night. And the ending of Btaa s2 was actually insane work on his behalf. A truly sick and twisted Scarecrow and I adore him. Not to mention he is EXACTLY what Nolanverse Scarecrow should have been even down to the outfit.

Mof Jonathan Crane next. This guy is one hell of a character. We see more of his life growing up I this comic. How he was bullied for his appearance. Bless his heart. He did have some serious issues though, ofcourse he never deserved it because he is speculated to have Marfan syndrome and was bullied for "looking like a scarecrow". He grew up scared and angry because of people's unfair treatment towards him because of a disability he had no control over. Ofcourse that doesn't excuse the horrible things he went on to do instead of just getting therapy like he should have. But ig it was just a different time back then. To me he is a very grey area Scarecrow. Like, he didn't deserve the treatment he got but he also shouldn't have portrayed his anger the way he did, even though it makes sense why he would hold such animosity. He should have gotten therapy instead of buying a gun for a uni lecture.

Btas Scarecrow MY BELOVED. He needed WAAAYYY more screen time and was more recognition as more than just a way for Bruce to face his fears. Like in TNBA Scarecrow was actually a threatening shadow looming over the bat family and was actively cruel and murderous. My favourite theory however about how Btas went from his first design into his tnba design is the idea if a lab accident, kinda like arkham Knight where his face is only partially covered my mask where his torn face is exposed. Anyway, I loved how slightly goofy Btas Jon was at times and I loved how animated and fun his face was. He was also very adorable maskless, I love his big nose and ginger hair.

I wasn't too keen at first with TNBA Jon, mostly because it was a big jump from the scarecrow I was used too but I actually grew to really love him and how western corpse he got. He was very western Gothic and I love that for a dead grampa. Like I said earlier I love the idea of his face actually being disfigured from an accident. And I love how truly heartless he was when he straight up pushes bat girl off a fucking building and LAUGHS about it in her families FACE.

Next up the one and only Codotverse Jon. A scarecrow never seen before and yet this is one of my top three all time Scarecrows. Him having a thick southern drawl and having scarecrow be a mental part of him instead of a costume as a personality split due to the abuse he endured growing up? BEAUTIFUL. Him having a hardened amygdala and thus unable to feel fear IMMACULATE. He is all parts tragic angry and cruel yet also caring in his own way. He is complex, intelligent and a very well put together version of the scarecrow.

And I think finally, Arkham Knight scarecrow. He was cruel and sadistic as you would expect. I love how he was quite literally a pensioner at retirement age terrorising a whole city with hallucinogens, this man will rest when he is dead and I respect that. Also his fear toxic was actually scary?? That first scene in Arkham Knight when the cafe gets tox bommed is actually ballistic

Anyway I think that's all of the ones I know personally. I'm not including salecrow because although I love him for his design I don't know much about him personality wise.
