imagine waking up and the first thing you see is abby’s face smushed against her pillow, lips looking more like a fish’s than not. the morning sun really loves her and really has it out for you. it gets all her angles, makes her hair glow, and gives her the prettiest freckles that you get to dote in kisses every day. fuck you, sun, making her look so fucking cute but you can’t tell her that because she’s ASLEEP!!!!! and she desperately needs it so you gotta ignore your instincts to kiss and instead take your hand and run it, very very lightly, from her eyebrow to her cheekbone, along her cheek and down to her chin before going back. either your touch is light as fuck or she’s the heaviest sleeper in the world [it’s the latter] because you enjoy tracing your angel for at least 10 minutes before she twitches. she recognizes your touch and shuffles closer. you cup her cheek. her eyes are still closed but she’s smiling. “my pretty baby,” you coo.

but running your thumb back and forth under her eye can only hold you for sooo long. you! must! kiss! her! face! and you do and she laughs and you keep kissing her face until she decides to catch your lips with hers in passing. you’re both smiling into it so it’s more trying not to accidentally knock your teeth together or trying not to snort and bonk heads than lips kissing. cupping the back of your head, she keeps you anchored to her lips. the smiles fade and you’re trying to shove all your love for her into her through this kiss and you can feel her doing the same.

morning kisses with the both of you are about as serious as lovers reuniting after years apart.
