Date At Universal Studios

Summary: Here is my late entry for @autumnleaves1991-blog's writing challenge. Life prevented me to write this. Spicy date with my favorite ch 2 trio. Three of them going on a date,but doc( female reader) has to deal with a certain person who is trying to seduce her boys.( hint the boys are dressed like a certain British secret agent . Doc is sexy arm candy)

You have been looking forward to going out with your boys. Has been a long time since the three of you had a date together. Whether it's you and Benny working late at the hospital, or Santi on call. So tonight is the night. Gonna dress up in costumes, and have fun at Universal studios. They are hosting a costume party,and tickets are half price if you dress up. Sadly the others could not go. Frankie has to do the trick or treating. William is not in the mood to go out. You know the real reason.

Benny was waiting in your office. Laying on the couch playing a game on his phone till a certain nurse comes in. Staring at him. With lust in her eyes," oh come on Ben. Go out with me. I'll make you feel good baby. " not looking up at her. Benny tried to be nice,but he couldn't take it anymore," look Sara. I'm engaged. Not the cheating type. Why don't you go out and go bar hopping. You might find a stupid man to fuck." You heard what was going on when you round the corner. Time to put on your boss' pants, and deal with this slut. Clearing your throat," Do you have some patients to check on? Like one that needs a bedpan to be emptied,and urine samples to take to the lab? " she looks at you as she walks away, " Madame mood killer just arrived. For information. I'm just talking to a fellow nurse about stuff. Is that a crime?" You looked at her," oh honey, I heard you alright. Flirting with my fiance. Now go and do your job or I'll make sure management knows what you are doing."

Benny puts his phone down so he could hold you close to him, " thank you for doing that. May I add it's so fucking sexy to watch you being the head nurse. So.. are you ready to go? Need to get home so we can get ready for the party at Universal studios." Kisses his sweet lips while you rub his ass," can't wait to get into that costume."

Other nurses were round the admit desk talking about tonight. How it's gonna be fun. Sara, being the nosey one asked," what event? " Grace, your assistant smiles," tonight it's senior nurses night out. Time to let loose. " Sara smiles," does it mean any of us can go?" You cleared your throat as you and Benny were about to leave," answer to that is a no. Only the ones that worked the day shift get to come. Since you are working tonight? That means no." She slams her clipboard on the counter and storms off. You tell the crew to text you or grace if her or any nurse that leaves early. You know that Sara will.

Grace laughs as she walks with you and Benny towards the parking garage, " yall have fun tonight. Don't worry about anything. Try not to invade your private time with your two lucky boys." You yell back," have fun! Need to get out of here before the traffic gets bad."

Santi has been home for quite some time. Getting ready to go to the party. Thought it would be fun to dress up as an iconic movie character. Far cry from last year. They didn't really want to celebrate Halloween last year due to the tragic events they are still coming to grips with. You and Benny go upstairs to see Santi laying out his white suit. Going behind him. Kissing his neck," oh can't wait to see you in this. Then take it off afterwards." Santi kisses your hands," same thing with my baby in that killer red dress. GRRR…" Benny comes behind you, " roger that pope. Let's get going. Hope's we don't see a certain slutty nurse there. " santi looks between you and Benny," oh, let me guess. Sara. Oh wait! Is she blonde with a scar on her left cheek?" You nod," oh did you know that mr. Garcia? Better start explaining or I'm gonna castrate you." Santi rubs his face, " she is the one that Tom was having an affair with. She knows who you are. "

After getting into your costume. Looking into the mirror. Seeing how sexy you look in that red dress. With a slit that is high enough to see your upper thigh. Both of your boys helped you put on your high heels. Couldn't take your eyes off of your boys. With pistols in hand. Both of them clean shaven. Both of them are good enough to eat.

Meanwhile at the hospital. Sara is trying to figure out how to get to the party. Opportunity just knocked on the door. Heard a vendor truck heading towards Universal studios. Already in her costume. A retro nurses outfit. Little does she know. Randi, the night admit supervisor, sees what is going down. She texted you the info.

You: slutty retro nurse is about to make her entrance. Be on the lookout.

Grace: Want me to lock her up?

You: her goal is my santi. Not gonna let her near him.

Three of you arrived at the studio. It was a creepy site. Think you are in a scary movie. Few guests thought the three of you were actors. That made your day.

Sara spots her prey. Strutting over to Santi while he was getting some drinks. You watch what is going on. Benny is behind you, " calm down baby. Santi knows what he is doing. "

Sara brushed her hand on his ass. He pushed her hand away," that is off limits missy. Only person who gets to touch me is Y/N, your boss. If I were you? Better get your hands off of me. I know who you are. Homewrecker. " sara tried to act all innocent, " must be mistaken for someone else baby. Forget about her. I'll make you quiver with my mouth on your cock. " santi gives you a nod. Meaning time to get that slut off your man.

Benny watches you as you march over to where Santi is. Tapping Sara's shoulder," did I or did I not tell you that this outing is for daytime nurses? Frankly,my dear you are skating on thin ice with me. If I were you? Better get your ass back to work." She is so ready for a fight. Even Though you are in heels that hurt your feet. Ready to take her on. Sara yells as she runs towards you. You tripped her. Lands face down. Looking down at her," you are pathetic excuse of a human being. " you walked away. Winking at your boys as you walked past your bosses," she is all yours Abbie. Do your worst."

All and all it was a nice outing. Before going home. Three of you walked on the beach. Was good to take off the shoes. Benny takes your hand, " love how you handled her. Guess someone is gonna have a hearing. Hope she gets fired . Makes my skin crawl. " santi sighs," doc, my sexy lady in red. Would you mind if I asked you to touch me? Need to get her scent off of me." You wink at him," thought you never asked.let's go home and we can have some adult time. "

Ok, so for this I just kinda picked random situations and ran with them lol this ended up scenario-y, I hope that’s ok! I also went a lil overboard as always ugh these are really long so I’m putting them under the cut.

I hope I wrote this how you wanted! I made them angsty but I know you said you wanted a happy ending so I made them fluffy and cheesy too 💓

HCs: “Because I love you!” (Zoro, Law, Marco)

Zoro

wanting you to stay

- as a new member on the crew, you instantly became friends with all of the Straw Hats, Zoro included and perhaps the most of all

- you two just seemed to hit it off instantly, enjoying each other’s company, training, and drinking together

- though you were friends, you and Zoro also tended to butt heads a lot of the time, simply because you weren’t scared to call him out and challenge him; he found this equally annoying and exciting about you

- the entire crew picked up on Zoro’s manners with you, the way he went out of his way to see you, the way he fussed at you when you were being reckless, the way you two just couldn’t possibly walk by one another without saying anything snarky and low key flirty…it was so obvious that you two were crushing on each other

- your arguing was just so different from Zoro’s genuine dislike for Sanji; Zoro knew he didn’t dislike you, he’s had many good moments with you, but when Robin tried to convince him that he was in love with you? that made his stomach flip

- when presented with the idea of love, Zoro denied everything, claiming that you were just friends, someone who he enjoyed spending time with and that was the extent of it

- annoying as you could be, he really enjoyed your company, and your companionship when on missions or trips was really endearing to him, but he would never admit that

- but, you were just a passing friend after all, not intending to be an official crew member as the Straw Hats helped save you from a village you were held hostage at, carrying you to your home island

- Zoro grew accustomed to your presence, and much like the rest of the crew, was used to seeing your smiling face every day, even looking forward to it

- he didn’t imagine that one day you would suddenly want to leave; why would you leave? you were all friends right? wasn’t everything you needed right here?

- the day the Sunny docked at the next island, Zoro thought it would just be any other day, not expecting you to have your bags packed, ready to disembark

- “Oi, what are those for?”

- “They’re my bags, dumbass. You guys are dropping me off here, remember?”

- “What? Why the hell are you leaving us?” he’s utterly shocked, just completely forgetting the whole plan to bring you home; you’re his crew mate, you can’t just leave!

- Zoro throws a fit, begging anybody and everybody to make you stay; no one is against it of course, but they’re telling him that he has to be the one to do it

- flustered and confused, Zoro’s unsure what to do; he understands you wanting to return home, but what about all your adventures together? who would train with him now? does this mean he won’t get to see your beautiful smile or hear your cute little laugh again?

- Zoro was a stubborn man and he knew he wouldn’t let that happen without a fight

- he instantly rushes to find you, heart dropping into his stomach when you’re no longer in your room and all of your things are gone; he runs out on deck, catching sight of your figure at the edge of the ship, preparing to leave to walk off onto the island

- “Oi! Wait!”

- you turn around to see Zoro running towards you, his cool demeanor replaced with a clearly unsettled one

- “Come to say goodbye?” you smiled brightly

- “You’re not going. I won’t let you.”

- “Huh?”

- “You can’t leave! We’re your friends. You can’t just leave us like this!”

- “Zoro, my home is here! My family-”

- “Are we not your family? We’ve been taking care of you for months now! And you just want to throw all of that away?”

- “I’m truly grateful for all of you but…”

- “But nothing! There’s no real excuse for you to go and you know it! You’re just being a dumbass!” he hadn’t meant to be so harsh, but the thought of you leaving forever was truly breaking him

- you had no words to say as you turned around, fuming, saying your goodbyes to everyone else except him; he looked to the crew, desperate for advice as he watched you walk further down the walk way, so close to the shoreline; his head was spinning, heart racing, knees shaking as all he wanted was for you to stay with him

- “(Name)! Stop! Please stay!”

- “Why should I stay?” your foot almost reaching the shore

- “BECAUSE I LOVE YOU!”

- everyone audibly gasped, including you, at his confession; you stopped dead in your tracks, unable to move, listening to your heart echo in your ears

- slowly, you turned around to see the shock on everyone’s faces and Zoro’s own flushed body; he was completely red head to toe, chest heaving from stress, but he maintained eye contact, letting you know that he was dead serious

- your body felt like it was floating as you made you way back up to the deck, Zoro moving to meet you halfway; soon you were standing right in front of the other, both wide-eyed and sweating nervously

- “You…love me?”

- “Uh, yeah…” a hand reached to scratch the back of his head, eyes averting from yours in anxious manners, “Do you…?”

- “Yes.” you muttered simply, catching Zoro by surprise once again, “I do. I love you too.”

- a small smile graced his lips as he looked at you incredulously, lost in thought and happiness as he stared at your smiling face

- “Kiss her you fool!” Franky couldn’t help but cry out at this romantic moment

- Zoro grunted, annoyed, gearing up to yell at him for ruining the moment but your lips on his stopped him dead in his tracks; eye wide open he stared at you, hesitant to move until your soft lips sent him into euphoric bliss

- his hands grasped gently at your waist, accepting your confessions, thanking the heavens above he was brave enough to confess to you; elated to know he had gained a lover and official crew mate all in one

Law

when you get hurt

- it all happened when the Heart Pirates had come across some enemies on an island you were visiting; Law wanted to avoid a scuffle, but he knew that was never possible with his crew; the whole crew fought for their captain, you being no exception, much to his dismay

- there was something special about you to him after all, something more than you just being his subordinate

- he tried to deny that four letter word for so long, but he knew he had fallen deeply for you when you were the one he was searching for once everything was over

- his heart sank when he couldn’t find you, he cursed at himself as he searched through piles upon piles of bodies, wishing he had just locked you up in your room and not let you fight

- when Shachi called for Law, he rushed over, studying your beat up, unconscious body; he couldn’t hate himself any more in this very moment

- with haste, Law scooped you up into his arms, carrying your limp body quickly into the sub; he wasted no time in yelling at the crew to load up, doing a quick head count of everyone, making sure everyone was safe and on board before submerging

- many rooms were filled with injured members, but nothing was life-threatening; Law laid you down in the infirmary, making quick rounds to check on his other members, asking Bepo to watch over you

- though Law deeply cared for his other crew members, with each shot he gave, each stitch he laced, he could only focus on you, praying that you were going to be okay

- “Captain, let us take care of everything. Go take care of (Name).” Penguin and Shachi offered their captain some help, and with slight hesitation, he nodded before rushing back to the infirmary

- when he entered the room to see Bepo pushing you back into bed, he felt a wave of relief wash over him; your genuine smile, though tattered and bloody from battle, made his heart warm

- “Captain! Will you please tell Bepo that I am perfectly fine and can get out of bed?”

- though he was happy to see your cheery self return, a scowl stretched along his face as he looked at you, “Bepo, leave us.” the bear left and you couldn’t help but look wide-eyed at your clearly pissed captain

- “What’s wrong, captain?”

- “Are you stupid? You can’t possibly leave this bed now under these conditions! I’m demanding three day bed rest, minimum.”

- “Three whole days?! That’s highly unnecessary! Look at me, I’m perfectly fi-ouch.” you attempted to stretch your arms to prove you were completely healthy, but the sharp pain that ripped through them was undeniable

- “If you move one more inch, so help me god, I will put you under right now.” he replied through gritted teeth, laced with utmost concern; he reached towards your clipboard, checking your readings and vitals

- “I can’t stay here for three whole days, Captain. What if those pirates follow us? I need to help fight!”

- “You don’t need to do anything except stay in this bed, (Name)-ya.”

- “Why can’t you let me fight? I took down the most guys on that battlefield and you know it!”

- “That doesn’t matter.” the vein in his forehead was beginning to show all the while you were beginning to fume

- “Why are you treating me like this? I just want to help! I’m supposed to help protect you!”

- “No!” he yelled, slamming down the clipboard, “I’m supposed to protect you!”

- “Why-”

- “BECAUSE I LOVE YOU!”

- your eyes were as wide as the moon now as you looked at your disheveled captain, a flush of red on his cheeks as he realized what he just confessed, eyes averting as he fumbled his words to backtrack

- “The crew loves you and we want you safe. That’s all.” he so desperately wanted to run away from this, but he knew he had to bandage you up first; what a truly awkward situation

- you couldn’t calm your racing heart as he didn’t mutter a single word while his soft hands bandaged you up delicately; a blush graced your cheeks with every tender touch from him, wondering if he really meant what he said

- “So, you love me, huh?”

- “Please stop talking.”

- the rest of the three days were long and awkward, giving you plenty, perhaps way too much time to think about your captain’s confession; you thought hard about your feelings, deciphering between subordination or adoration for your captain; when the third day arrived, you were ready to give him your answer

- Law wasn’t expecting an answer of course, he had spent many sleepless nights attempting to get over the painfully inopportune situation, and accepted your silence as an answer in and of itself; he was beginning to remove himself, desperately trying to forget his romantic feelings altogether

- that was, until you welcomed him into your room with a warm smile that was both pleasant and embarrassing for him

- “How are you feeling today, (Name)-ya?”

- “Loads better, captain.” his heart shattered a bit at that name, though he was very used to you calling him that, it still felt like a slap in the face

- “Let me replace your bandages and then you’re free to go.”

- his soft hands were on your skin again, sending you reeling; when his face was mere inches from yours, you couldn’t help but touch it, him flinching ever so slightly

- “Captain?”

- his golden orbs were focused on you, fluttering lightly at your gentle caress that he couldn’t help but lean into; was this all a dream?

- “Do you really love me?”

- he was hesitant as he could take the opportunity now to recover, pretend that his outburst was simply just that and nothing more; he could go back to only being your captain, you only his subordinate; you two could move on from this situation, pretending like nothing ever happened

- but as you looked up at him innocently, lips parted and eyes glossy, he knew he couldn’t lie to you like that, no matter how terrified he was to face his feelings for you

- “Yes, I-“

- he couldn’t finish his sentence but it was all you needed to hear; your lips plastered on his own with eagerness, affirming that you loved him back

- “Good. Because I love you too, Captain.” you smiled innocently at him

- Law peered down at you with a smirk, hardly believing this was real life; his heart raced when you pulled him down to your face once more, “Now let me out of this god forsaken room before I go insane.”

Marco

wanting to protect you

- Marco’s lost many important people in his life, and you weren’t going to be the next if he had anything to say about it

- ever since meeting you, he’s felt an intense desire to protect you at all costs, perhaps sheltering you a bit too much but it was all under good intentions

- he didn’t realize it was love until a few months in to your friendship; he was terrified to fall at first, as so many loved ones have slipped away and Marco would break if he had to lose another

- but he couldn’t deny the happiness you brought him, the way you made him feel so complete; all worries and fears subsided when he was with you and for the first time in a long time, thanks to you, he found peace in his world

- that being said, he’d do anything to protect you; being a former Whitebeard pirate means he tends to get targeted by scoundrels every now and then and he’s had to fight so many times already

- so the day a certain pirate groups raids his village, he knows that he has to go fight again, aiming to protect the village and yourself

- you were plenty capable of holding your own and you’d shown him that countless times, but he wouldn’t have any of it

- “Just stay here, (Name)-yoi! Let me handle it!”

- “But Marco, you might get hurt! Let me help you.”

- “I said no!”

- “Why won’t you let me help! I just want to-“

- “BECAUSE I LOVE YOU!”

- you were instantly taken aback, and even among the screams and canon fires, you could hear your heart thumping wildly in your chest

- Marco didn’t seem to budge at his confession as he took the opportunity to flap away to the scene while you stood there in complete shock

- after some recollection, you aided townsfolk in helping them find shelter in your home; you were helping and talking with these people but all your mind could focus on was those four words Marco had said

- did he mean them? or was it all just heat of the moment? would you even be able to ask him?

- it wouldn’t be until morning when you’d get a chance to speak to him, and lord knows you didn’t sleep a wink that night as you worried yourself sick over if he was safe or not; the thought of what was going to happen between you two now if he was safe haunted your every thought

- as soon as day broke, you rushed over to check his home, finding a seemingly normal looking Marco resting in his bed; the nurse assured you that he needed rest, but when he stirred in his bed, asking to see you, she complied and left the room

- though there were no markings on his body, he hissed a little as he sat up in his bed to look at you, an unreadable expression on his face

- you couldn’t stop yourself from rushing over to him, throwing your body onto his to embrace him; he yelped a little at the pain, but accepted your body nevertheless

- “Don’t do anything stupid like this ever again, okay?”

- “I just always want to keep you safe, (Name)-yoi. It’s my duty to protect this village and-“

- “Promise me!” you were crying now, a mix of emotions as you were so relieved to see him okay, but the terror of last night still remained

- Marco was shocked to see you so worked up, but he hugged your body tighter into his, petting at your hair, “I promise.”

- “Thank you. I just can’t bear the thought of losing you…” you wept into his shirt, soaking in his every smell and touch

- Marco enjoyed having you so close like this, he prayed time would just stop so he could continue holding you forever

- “I don’t know if you meant what you said last night…”

- “Oh…”

- “It doesn’t matter because I just want you to know that I love you too. You don’t have to say it ever again, I just thought I would…”

- before you could finish he tilted your chin up to look at him, a content smile on his face as he peered down at you, “I promise you, I meant everything I said. I love you, and I want to protect you always. If you’ll have me.”

- you couldn’t help but smile through your tears, accepting his soft kisses and caresses as you continuously confessed your love for one another

I want to have them all on Tumblr, so. Here are my reaction posts, in order, for Resolution of the Daleks and season 12, part 1!

Resolution of the Daleks

Thoughts on Doctor Who - Resolution! Spoilers, obviously!

Okay, negative first, just to get it out of the way. Doctor Who, I really appreciate that you consistently have queer minor characters and queer couples. Just super casual and all, as it should be. Now can you please stop killing off half of said couples? Angstrom's wife, Frankie, now this young guy? It's really not cool.

Don't think the voiceover worked. I feel the prologue would have worked better with just visuals.

Again, Yaz didn't have much to do. The Doctor got a ton of action, Ryan and Graham both had significant interactions with Aaron, Yaz was... just kind of there. I'm hoping that when the show comes back in a year, now that Ryan has largely dealt with his issues, Yaz will get more attention?

UNIT was killed by Brexit?! Fuckin' rude!

Okay, on to the positive!

The Dalek was, frankly, fucking scary. Despite knowing that the Doctor would beat it, obviously, it caused huge swathes of damage and racked up a... rather high body count. Like it felt like a proper threat. Also, its ability to stop the TARDIS tracking it and stuff. Lin's terror felt extremely genuine and it was just nice and horrific overall, like - if it wasn't for the Doctor, it would feel like a genuine threat to the entire Earth.

(Also, it shut down the wifi. On New Years Day. What a monster!)

Oh man that Dalek laughter. Creepy as fuck. The Doctor dragging it in via hologram to dare it to laugh in her face? Fucking iconic.

"I've learned to think like a Dalek." Oof.

Doctor vs Dalek. Not just the physical aspect, but the mental part - the Doctor recognising the seriousness of it, but also having that element of cockiness ("Oh, mate") because, frankly, she's dealt with bigger threats. She's right when she points out that the biggest problem will be if regular humans try to engage it!

Elements of Dark!Doctor when she asks the team - almost desperately - if she gave it enough chances, if she was nice enough. Because the Doctor can get fucking scary around Daleks and she knows it. She's nice. She's friendly. But she's also the Doctor, and the Doctor has done some really damn questionable things to stop the Daleks, and she knows that. Fantastically done and I still desperately want some proper Dark!Doctor.

Really liked the parallels between the Doctor using scrap to make her sonic screwdriver, vs the Dalek using scrap to make its armour. The Doctor makes a tool, the Dalek makes items of war. Of course, well, the Doctor is probably more dangerous just with a swiss army sonic than a Dalek blaster...

I love how the whole, "Dads are complicated... so I've heard" bit could refer to either the loom thing or the Doctor having actual parents or the Doctor being a shitty dad themself XD

Graham was so excited to show off the TARDIS! Like he's just going, "How cool is this?!"

There were some legitimately funny moments! Graham's chair, "I suppose... we'll have to have a... conversation?", "Junkyard chic"... UNIT was killed by Brexit like that's so awful but. But in a kind of funny way.

Okay, now the unsure. Ryan, Graham, and Aaron. Ryan and Graham have sorted out their issues - but Aaron is still such a big overshadowing part of it that it's a bit of a shock when he comes back in. As someone with a similarly shit biological father, I was completely empathising with Ryan in the coffee shop conversation. And I do understand why they wanted reconciliation, so they showed Aaron as acknowledging his bullshit and Ryan ultimately choosing to forgive and save him.

But it's just... not that easy. It's not all going to be perfect just because they stopped a Dalek together. Aaron's neglect hurt Ryan really badly, and it just felt... too easy? Like it helped that Aaron was genuinely contrite, and that he had that good stepfather talk with Graham, but just... yeah, not sure how I feel about it, honestly.

The Doctor's first words to him being, "You weren't at Grace's funeral. Ryan waited for you, you let him down" were so, so good. Like the Doctor is just going "fuck you I'm his father now". Like tbh I think she was 100% prepared to yeet him off the TARDIS and be done with it. Like damn don't emotionally hurt one of her crew.

Some wonderfully savage lines, though. The Doctor's, "You're almost making up for your parenting deficit!"; Aaron and Ryan's, "Is that how you talk to your dad?" "I don't know, he's not been around"; Graham's fucking smirk when Ryan pointedly calls him 'Gramps'.

I did see a suggestion that would have made it much better - instead of the Dalek capturing Aaron, it captures Ryan. First, it ups the threat in the mind of the Doctor and Team TARDIS - this isn't some dickhead, this is one of them. And instead, it's Aaron who reaches out to Ryan, Aaron who risks his life, Aaron who has to come through for Ryan, instead of the other way around. Also would have tied in beautifully with, "Family isn't about DNA, or a name. It's about what you do, and you haven't done enough."

Also, 'srs tech skillz'. With a Z. Doctor why.

In conclusion, I am going to fight Nigel Farage for killing UNIT.

Spyfall part 1

So yeah I actually literally screamed (kind of... scream-laugh-holy-shit-yes). Like, even before Dhawan finished speaking the, "Or should I say spy... The good

Episode was just flat-out exciting. It reminded me both of the Three and Ten eras, a bit? Fun gadgets, fancy suits, and what ends up being a giant game! Did start wondering when they were talking about spies and codes and stuff. It's basically a puzzle that's been set up for the Doctor to solve. Plus, the way she was pretty much enlisted into it! Thirteen and Dhawan!Master might end up having a more Pertwee-Delgado-esque dynamic, maybe? I would be down for that!

(My introductory episode to the Master was The Mind of Evil. Let's just put it that way XD)

"I'm her best enemy." <3

I mean, in retrospect, isolated house full of high-tech stuff and a wall full of books about the Doctor... oh honey. Long, looong game of playing Spies and Conspiracies just for, apparently, the sheer funsies of it. Oh, honey. They're such a disaster and I love them.

The reveal scene, Jodie's acting. The way she just... freezes and hunches in on herself. She's been hiding her past more than other Doctors have in the past, and suddenly, here is her past!! Right here!! Laughing and joking and right there in front of her! And she's just like, "Ohhh shit, I was not ready to have this conversation again..."

Yasmin and Ryan's dynamic. I do like that they split up the usual combos of Thirteen-Yasmin and Graham-Ryan for once, because I do like seeing the way they play off each other! It makes them feel more cohesive as a group. I liked Ryan trying to comfort Yasmin after her experience.

Post-reveal, I'm now wondering if the weird zappy forest thing is the Master's TARDIS? Something to do with changing and processing DNA into something else? Something based around neurons, with the electric travelling system? Am also wondering what happened to Yasmin while in there, since she seemed to be processed in some way, and I'm wondering if she had part of her DNA rewritten as well - or maybe if she's been replaced entirely, like she's currently piloting an alien version of her own body while her actual self is still in there. They did already do that with Flesh!Amy, though.

Once this arc is over, I think Thirteen is definitely going to have to sit down and tell the Fam who the hell she actually is. Graham is having some serious questions, and the Master was definitely egging that on, pre-reveal.

How much do I love that even in a tux, the Doctor still has the culottes and boots? A lot, that is how much. Also, how much do I love the Doctor in a suit and on a motorbike? A lot, that is how much.

Main concern is how they're handling the Master's characterisation? Last we saw, they were so ready to jump the Doctor ship. Now it's back to games. Kind of wondering if that means the Master is just at the point of being resigned that they and the Doctor just don't work and so is going back to games because at least it makes them happy, but I'm happy to wait until next week to see how things play out!

Did see a suggestion that this is the Master from one of the alternate universes (or at least that seems to be the general consensus on why there were multiple maps), so not actually necessarily the same version as Missy. Alternatively, this could actually be a pre-Missy version! Maybe between Simm!Master and Missy, since we never actually see that regeneration?

Actually, if this is the one immediately before Missy and this two-parter ends with the Master regenerating and we actually do get Thirteen and Missy together on screen I may cry.

Well that's a good way to guarantee I'll be watching them online first! I was happy to wait twelve hours or so so I could watch it with Mum, but like hell I'm going to wait three and a half days!

Thoughts on Doctor Who: Spyfall, part 2!

GALLIFREY LOOOOORE.

Oh man I'm hyped. We got a teeny teaser to the Timeless Child way back last decade but now we may actually get to see what the fuck is going on. And hell, if nothing else, at least the discovery is being teased to be so devastating it did undo Missy's characterisation. If this incarnation of the Master is after her, at least. Still not necessarily anything to suggest that. The Master will likely be recurring over this season, so we'll find out more, at least!

God, the Master is so fucked up. Like. He's seen something apparently so massively traumatic that he had to destroy his own planet and legitimately does look broken by it? Unless he was acting, but I did not get that impression from the message at the end. And the only way he can think of to get the Doctor's attention is to start his old tricks? Not sure if it's better or worse for him to be pre-Missy tbh.

It's just... such an interesting dynamic. Also I really want to read into the whole... scene where the Master asks the Doctor to kneel and call him 'Master' in front of everyone - then, when she does (defiantly! Stubbornly!), he... kneels to be at the same level as her. Like, "I'm going to play these BDSM-esque power games with you but when it comes down to it, I still consider us equal."

Anyway the Master is def a service top.

The Companions! They get a capital C because they were rad as hell. I love them all deciding that what they do next is: carry on to save the world. Like they're all heroic af without the Doctor and it's so good.

And questioning at the end, oooh man. There are some Implications there, yeah. They've found out some surface information, yes, but no real hint at the deeper trauma. And given what this coming season is hinting at, I strongly suspect we will indeed be getting that deeper trauma and maybe even Dark!Doctor. Gallifrey does tend to bring it out of them...

The whole on-the-run thing seemed to definitely be a callback to Sound of Drums. Uh, what's that going to do long-term? Send out a worldwide message saying, "Sorry, our bad, they're fine"? I mean, last time that happened... okay, Jack was already with Torchwood and so is used to Not Really Existing, but Martha definitely couldn't go back to fuckin' medical school. She ended up at UNIT and then went independent. They did not return to their normal lives.

Barton: needs a goddamn punch. He killed his mother what the fuck. On the plus side, at least he seems to have thoroughly destroyed his career? Be interesting to see if he reappears later, you don't go from the most powerful person on the planet to massive pariah overnight without Repercussions.

On to our guest characters! I hate to brag but I guessed who Ada was as soon as I heard her first name and saw her outfit. I mean the computers theme was already there, who else would she be? :D And I admittedly didn't know who Noor Inayat Khan was except in passing, but still. Little upset about the erased memories (Donna ;_; ), but I can see why the Doctor did it and like... this way, I'm glad they were able to avoid the implications of, "Ada only developed computing because she had already seen the future." Like people said that with Rosa Parks even though the Doctor said explicitly to only ensure there were enough seats filled and the act itself was all Rosa, so they may have wanted to play it safe.

I... really want to comment on how Ada definitely was crushing on the Doctor (and really, who wouldn't?), but she was a real person so I shall avoid those implications. (But really though!)

Doctor how many times have you been in someone's liver. This is some Magic School Bus Inside The Human Body bullshit and I love it.

Doctor's recording: "First of all, you're not gonna die! Second of all, don't talk back to the screens, obviously I'm a recording and I can't hear ya. Third, don't panic. Especially you, Graham."

Graham, panicking: "I'M NOT PANICKING!"

Doctor's recording: "Yes, you were! And I did just say, don't talk back to the screens!"

I want an entire series of the Master having a really infuriating seventy-seven years on Earth. Please.

Comments on continuity issues regarding that, "It's worse than Jodrell Bank!" "Did I ever apologise for that?" "No." "Good." exchange XD;; Like people are going, "Continuity error!! It was the Pharos Project, not Jodrell Bank!!" and like. Pharos was a project. Jodrell Bank is an observatory. You can do projects at observatories. Also, you can refer to projects by location, too. Am I referring to the Canberra Deep Space Communication Project or Tidbinbilla Station? Both! They refer to the same thing! In the Whoniverse, they likely did the Pharos Project at Jodrell Bank, and just had some lighthearted bantz about that time where the Master killed the Doctor, no biggie.

So, onwards to... an apparently unrelated episode for next week! Also, the Kassavin? Still there. Like. The Master only gave suggestions. They still have all those agents everywhere! They're still ready to act! And yeah, now they have the Master in their hands, so... I wonder if they'll make the Timeless Child a long, ongoing arc, and have the much more immediate threat of the Kassavin as the season finale?

Thoughts on Doctor Who - Orphan 55!

...whew.

First thought: anvilicious, but some anvils need to be dropped, because, uh, have you seen the world lately.

It feels like quite a brittle episode? Even beyond the immediate tension of 'there are large angry creatures trying to kill everyone', there's just this sense of... like, tension. There's the tension between Benni and Vilma, which at first is kind of a sweet tension then becomes a life-threatening and sad tension. There's the tension between Roger Parslow Silas and his dad, with Silas not being taken seriously (although I do think him running out while they're in life-threatening danger is a bit much). The obvious and major tension between Bella and Kane that drives the whole episode, yes.

And there's also the tension amongst Team TARDIS! The episode starts with the Doctor still in Some Kinda Way about last week, and I felt a bit of tension between Yaz and Ryan? She seemed rather unimpressed by Bella, at any rate. I do like how organic the relationship between Ryan and Graham feels, at least. "It ain't the aliens that are gonna kill me, it’s worrying about you!"

Set and costume building, I felt, was kind of... eh? I liked how Tranquility itself looked, but the tunnels looked Very Generic, and some of the looks I felt didn't really work. Silas and his dad's green hair just looked very obviously fake, and I saw a description of Hyph3n-with-a-three looking like a cross between a Jellicle Cat and John Candy in Spaceballs (which... yeah, honestly). And I'm not sure about the Dregs, although I did initially have the thought that whatever the original inhabitants of the planet were, they must have been humanoid was amusingly accurate...

Also a logical issue on the whole journey to find Benni, because frankly, it just wasn't... sensible. Okay, bring a kid. Father of the year right there. Okay, bring an old woman. Granted, she could have insisted because it was her man-friend they were looking for, but surely she would have known she would slow them down? Her 'heroic sacrifice' felt very wasted, because dammit, she could have survived if she had stayed in the Dome where it was at least a bit safer!

"At least three eighths of a plan, right here! ...Two eights. I'll be honest, all I've got is the letter 'P'..."

So the Doctor is almost at the point of passing out from oxygen loss but hang on, let her first indulge her curiosity...

The sheer existence of orphan planets is very depressing. The sheer fact that there's at least fifty-five is very depressing.

There's an interesting comment about how straight after discussion of the reveal, the first shot of the preview is the Statue of Liberty. Very Planet of the Apes! (No apes next time, just Tesla vs Edison!) Also feeling a strong connection to Midnight (stunning resort on dangerous planet with a very personal enemy), and I saw a comment about Thirteen unintentionally The-End-Of-The-World-ing the Fam (and making a connection between 'very angry trees' and the Forests of Cheem). Bit of Ravolox. Bit of... fuck what was it... Curse of Fenric.

Although, we know that the Earth will eventually be consumed by the sun, and it was done in a way that was like... it was its time. This was not its time, was a colossal fuck-up on a planetary scale (and the Doctor continues to be 'eat the rich'), but it's also only one potential future. Which is good, because that got dark. Even more than The End of the World, even more than Utopia, even more than fuckin' Frontios, because this is the near-future. The shots we saw of the destruction were modern day! That was the Dome of the Rock you saw getting bombed!

"Be smarter than what made you." PAGING THE GOVERNMENT...

Going to put it on a solid... maybe 7/10? Some really good elements in there, but also some clunkers, and unfortunately not a patch on the same writer's It Takes You Away, which was one of the strongest of the last season.

Nikola Tesla’s Night of Terror

Thoughts on Doctor Who - Nikola Tesla's Night of Terror!

Opinion before episode: man, Tesla's cool. Opinion after episode: man, Tesla is fuckin' cool! :D That was a well-done personality-based historical, absolutely - I think it's my second-favourite personality-based historical only to Rosa (there are other pseudo-historical based ones set in the past that I love, but they're not personality-based; the Human Nature duology is a good example).

But yeah, Tesla just came across as a really, really cool character. Genius and he knew it, yes, and the real Tesla did have some questionable views (sexism, mostly), but otherwise the archetypal Idealistic Genius who wants to change the world for the better. Contrast with Edison, who was... a businessman. With, like, a really punchable face. Still pretty intelligent, but... very, very punchable. I've read about the Tesla-Edison feud before and always sided with Tesla, and let's face it, so did the writer XD

Good mix of character combinations - with a lot of characters, it's easy for someone to get sidelined, but this managed to handle Thirteen and the Fam, and Tesla, Dorothy, and Edison, pretty well. There were some neat combinations, like Ryan and Dorothy bonding over the sense of adventure, and Graham and Edison's confrontation; I also really loved the whole conversation between Thirteen and Tesla on the joy of just... creating. There's actually a very nice overlap between arts and sciences.

Antagonists - not bad? I feel a lot of people were expecting the Racnoss, and there was such a similarity that I would have liked at least a throwaway line about how the Skithra were related or something. Ooh man she definitely brought out Dark!Doctor, though. Teleporting the queen back to the ship, specifically so she can be fried? I mean, she might have survived it. Might. And just that fantastic little change of expression when the queen asks the Doctor if she's ever seen a dead planet before! Whittaker pulled that one off.

There's a very interesting compare and contrast between the Skithra and Edison, I found. Thirteen has her speech about how once the Skithra are gone, they won't be remembered. Caput. Forgotten. They left nothing behind. Compare and contrast to Edison, who was openly accused of using other people's work, but who's able to learn from his mistakes, end on an even(ish) setting with Tesla, and who does get remembered. Which kind of stings, honestly, if you look at Tesla's actual history.

Like. Apparently that, "The man just didn't understand the American sense of humour," line was an actual historical line, according to Tesla's own records. The absolute main reason for the difference in fame and recognition is that Tesla was a genius who didn't know how to market. Edison was a marketer who could invent a bit. So in conclusion Edison is a dick and Tesla needs more respect, the end.

Favourite lines and scenes:

Tesla: "Is - is this your own design?" Thirteen: "I made it! Mainly out of spoons! :D" Tesla: "You're an inventor! :D" Thirteen: "I have my moments." Tesla: "I knew it! So you... so, you can understand how it feels, you know, when you have an idea, and - and to make it real. I don't think there's any greater thrill!" Thirteen: "I couldn't agree more." Tesla: "You... you spoke of aliens. People here laugh at the very idea." Thirteen: "But not you." Tesla: "Well, apparently I'm not like other people. It can be difficult, you know, to feel no one else sees the world the way you do. It's like you're, uh..." Thirteen: "...out of place."

Graham: "Yeah, still. I bet you'd jump at the chance to have him back working for you, wouldn't ya?" Edison: "Yeah?" Graham: "Yeah!" Edison: "How d'you figure that?" Graham: "'Cause I had a supervisor like you at my old depot. And men like you don't pay a bloke that much attention unless you think there's a payout comin'."

Thirteen: "I wouldn't go killing me and Yaz. 'Cause Yaz... can tell you what this is." Yaz: "It's a camera!" Thirteen: "Bingo!" *FLASH!*

Edison: "I couldn't figure it out either." Tesla: "The internal dimensions transcend the external." Thirteen: *GRIN* Edison: ._.

Thirteen: "You do realise, it's killing Edison that they want you and not him? ;D"

Graham: "Don't worry. This ain't our first rodeo!" Ryan: "We've never been to a rodeo." Graham: "...you're not helping, Ryan..."

Thirteen: "And what are you queen of, exactly? A stolen ship and second-hand guns? A queen of shreds and patches. You're not a ruler, you're a parasite." Queen: "And what are you? So clever, stealing onto my ship, taking what I claim as mine. But where has it got you? No weapons. No armour. No escape. Just the desperate hope you might change my mind." Thirteen: "No, we are way past that. I gave you your chance." Queen: "A chance to be like you?" Thirteen: "A chance to evolve. But you were too stupid to take it. When you die, there'll be nothing left behind - just a trail of blood and other people's brilliance. No one will even know you existed."

(Side note: I love that this speech was actually in front of the companions. They're starting to see that things are Not Okay.)

Thirteen: "Don't give up." Yaz: "Whatever anyone says." Tesla: "Well, let them talk. The present is theirs. I work for the future... and the future is mine."

Fugitive of the Judoon

Uh, some very disorganised comments on Doctor Who - Fugitive of the Judoon!

I squealed when I heard Jack's voice then saw him in the flesh. I gasped audibly when 'Ruth' broke the glass. I yelped when we saw the buried TARDIS. I MAY HAVE SCREAMED A LITTLE WHEN 'RUTH' INTRODUCED HERSELF.

(Also can we talk about her outfit. That was on point.)

I'm getting a very... very early vibe? She didn't know what the sonic screwdriver was, and that was introduced with Troughton. Since we saw the Hartnell-Troughton regeneration, she must be pre-Hartnell? Maybe a Doctor whose memories were rewritten to the point that they thought the Hartnell incarnation was the earliest? Not to mention that was a pretty old-school-looking TARDIS!

Alternatively, maybe between Troughton and Pertwee? Either option has some inconsistency - if she's post Troughton, she should have known what the sonic was, although it admittedly did look very different. Plus, her TARDIS is already its police box shape, which was implied to have set in the junkyard. Also, we never actually do see the regeneration between Two and Three, and it could explain why Gallifrey was after her - she escaped after her trial after The War Games!

Definitely early, though.

Alternatively alternatively, Thirteen actually does say 'time is swirling around me'. Maybe an alternate timeline. Something to tie back to the Timeless Child?

"I've lived for thousands of years, so long I've lost count. I've had so many faces. How long have you known me? You don't know me. Not even a little bit."

That wasn't just aimed at the companions. I feel that was aimed at the Doctor themself.

(Related: the response from the fam was flat-out beautiful. Doesn't matter who she was or who she'll be. They know her now, and they love her.)

Really cool note from Twitter - disguised name was Ruth Clayton. Ruth = 'friend, companion'. Clayton = 'of the Earth'. She literally named herself 'friend of the Earth'.

I mean. Yeah. Confused and intrigued and what.

Jack. Jack. Smooching Graham, hitting on all the companions, getting into Shenanigans! The Lone Cyberman - I wonder if that's a totally different crisis that isn't even related to the current Gallifrey-Timeless Child one? The more important part is Jack's presence - the presence of another time traveller with a... unique relationship with the universe. The actual warning could be a red herring, but Jack showing up anywhere in the first place is a sign that something is happening with time?

Orphan 55 had a timeline that may or may not have been the 'real' one. Being only a potential future kind of doesn't work with what we know of established DW continuity, so I'm liking the 'alternate timeline' theory, maybe?

Ryan: "I liked him. Kind of cheesy."

Also, Judoon, chameleon arch, the Master, Jack - getting big season 29 vibes here and that's a big thumbs up for me because that's my favourite season. We just need Martha to make an appearance now!

...hehe honestly, between Jodie's entire existence, and now, in the span of five episodes, introducing Dhawan!Master, Gat, and now Jo Martin as the first black female Doctor, and reintroducing Jack, one of the most overtly and openly queer characters on the series, the 'Doctor Who is too PC!' bunch are going to be so mad XD

🔫 - Fave canon arc?

Thriller Bark. It made me laugh SO HARD. One piece is one of the few anime that genuinely makes me laugh out loud, usually im more of a “hmpft” blowing air out of my nose laught kinda gal, but one piece gave me a lot of joy and laughter, and mostly during thriller bark. Besides that, the fights and the general plot thickening and things coming together, and Zoro’s sacrifice all made this one of my top favorite archs! The pacing was very good as well, compared to, for example, Dressrosa.

😀 - Most favorite Straw Hat?

aaaaaa don’t make me choose This is very hard! The initial thought was Zoro because well it’s Zoro and most of his lines never fail to make me laugh. Robin is the one I admire most cause it’s the kind of lady idk if I wanna be her or be with her yknow? And Chopper also popped up because well.. he’s the absolute most adorable bean and I love him and his cuteness.

I’m gonna conclude a tie between Zoro and Robin, and Chopper can be on their shoulders being adorable? (´･ᴗ･ ` )

👾 - Fave villain?

Perona as far as she was an actual villain, her negative spooks are the best attack ever and no one can tell me otherwise.

In terms of bigger antagonists, probably the Charlotte family? I’m counting them as one, just for now, since they are all super interesting and I like seeing them on screen more than ceasar or moria or doffy and 100000x more than friggin Blackbeard (Imagine me using the ‘dinkleberg voice’ whenever I say blackbeard). Doffy is a good villain. But he makes me too mad so he only gets a flaminglemention and not the top spot ha.

😭 - Saddest scene?

Just like one piece is the series that made me laugh he most, it’s also the one that made me cry the most. Almost embarrassingly much. I ugly sobbed for a few hours straight around Ace’s death. I was spoiled, I knew it was gonna happen, but I did not know how exactly, so ehm from impel down on, every scene they showed him I teared up at least. (oops). BUT there was one other scene that made me cry a lot that I have to mention because I did not expect to cry for that moment. I knew about the time skip, I knew about the training, I knew they were gonna take some time off to get stronger. BUT I did not know how and when and the circumstances. The moment Kuma separated them, the agony and the helplessness. My heart. I could not take it. That was too sad.

Honorable mentions for the Bellemere scene very early on and saying goodbye to merry. Just too many heartbreaking moments but I feel that’s what makes the series so nice, you need to get hurt sometimes in order to get more attached to characters.

😜 - Funniest character?

Ehm. In terms of delivering hilarious one-liners and making me laugh while not actually being funny on purpose: Zoro. The dumb is too much and is hilarious. He says funny things while not being funny and there’s just too many peak comedy moments in him getting lost or ‘wanting to get made into a wax statue in this pose”.

Luffy gets a mention in situational humor too because that dumbassery is hilarious as well.

😳 - Any crushes?

Any? Many! ehm, to not make this answer a couple thousand words long, quickfire! Ace, he has the charisma, the feralness, the politeness and the freckles. Shanks, he’s just the sweetest, sexiest mystery man who knows what his priorities are. Sabo, all the feralness, less of the politeness, all of the cuteness. His smile can revive puppies. Zoro: the Dumbassery, the muscles, the brutal honesty and that soff soff mossy hair. Kid: again, the dumbassery, the rudeness while still caring for his bunch of misfits. I love me a good tulip. Robin: The beauty, the grace, the humor, the fashion, the intellect. Again, dk if i want to be her or be with her. Vivi: The courage, the love, the sweetness amongst the badassery, step on me princess. Honorable mentions for Killer, A bunch of people showing up in Wano that I’ve only seen spoilers pop up for. And writing some character has had me reconsidering all the crushes all together. In conclusion: WHY IS EVERYONE IN ONE PIECE SO ATTRACTIVE??? safe for you Blackbeard honey, you could fall off a cliff and I’d applaud.

⏰ - How long have you been into One Piece?

Not that long at all. When I was 14? ish I started my anime journey. I watched 15-20? episodes of One Piece and hated it. Around that time one piece was somewhere in between 500-600 eps and I could not imagine ever catching up to that, especially since my strict parents limited my computer use to 3h a week.

Then a friend really got into it I think about 5? years ago and kept talking about it and how it was actually good. I was starting to do an effort to watch all the ‘big’ and ‘must-see’ anime and promised myself I’d watch One Piece, eventually.

Then this year at the end of October 2019 I actually started watching it. I had grown up a lot, and could now appreciate the anime way more for what it was? I fell in love and binged the entire thing in more or less six months with some small breaks in between for work, school, books, and other anime. Highly considering re-downloading so I can rewatch my favorite parts soon. My biggest problem is that once I love something, I go ALL IN and I will love everything about it and obsess. And thus this Tumblr was created as the hiatus started and I wanted something One Piece to keep me distracted. I eventually want to collect the manga but I now don’t have the space for it in my tiny room.

😏 - Favorite scene?

Sabo and Luffy reuniting! The reveal, the tears, the hug, and the ridiculousness of Luffy with the beard and all, just made it perfect. Absolutely loved it.

OH and Luffy punching the celestial dragon. The absolute energy in that scene made me grin like an idiot yet gave me goosebumps. Punch those slave-owning bitches luffy, thank you!

🎆 - Something you can’t wait for??!!

ALL of what is to come in Wano. I’ve been catching spoilers here and there and i just cannot wait! There’s gonna be so much reveals and new characters and comebacks and all the things I did not know I need in my life.

And I would like some more reveals on Shanks and his crew since we literally know next to nothing about them, besides the fact that even the admirals seemed to be at least wary of their powers and I just really need to know. (or not, since mystery adds to the charm).

I can’t wait for the abolishment of the government and the death/defeat of blackbeard (assuming that will happen at some point, a girl can dream).

💓 - Which character do you relate to the most?

SO HARD. Hardest question. Ehm... Ace and Usopp I think? I struggle with family a lot, but I have a chosen family that I wouldn’t trade for the world. I am hella insecure, but I try my best most of the time and I am extremely loyal, even though I have no particular talents, I try and help here and there and hopefully can make some people happy that way!

“You’ve got this, Ben. You’ve talked to him a million times. You’re about to play him in his movie for God sakes. Man up, Jones.” Ben said aloud as he knocked on the door of his girlfriend’s father’s house.

Looking up he saw his girlfriend’s mother coming to the door in her pajamas and silk robe.

“Ben, it’s late. What brings you here at this hour, honey?” Camilla Taylor asked as she eyed the young blonde boy.

“I’m sorry it’s so late Mrs. Taylor, but I need to talk to you and Mr. Taylor.” Ben said, his right hand fidgeting with something in the pocket of his leather jacket.

“Of course, honey. Come in. Is it YN? Is she alright?” Camilla asked as she walked Ben into the living room and sat herself down next to her husband who yawned and rubbed his eyes.

“Benjamin, to what do we owe the pleasure? Is YN alright?” Roger asked, standing up to bring Ben in for a hug.

“Yes, Mr. Taylor. She’s more than alright, she and Frankie are sleeping right now. I just needed to speak to the two of you and I couldn’t wait.”

“Please, son. You have been dating YN for 5 years, it’s Roger and Camille. So need for formalities, we’ve told you this.” Roger chuckled.

Ben’s palms began to sweat and he rubbed them on his jeans. Looking down at the floor he cleared his throat and spoke.

“Roger, Camille, as you pointed out I’ve been happily dating YN for the last 5 years. We have a home, and a dog so I think it’s only natural we take the next step...”

Camilla gasped and patted Roger’s arm excitedly, nearly bouncing off the sofa.

“Rog! Oh my God. Is it happening? Is he gonna...”

“Cami, my love. Settle down and let the boy speak.” Roger laughed, pulling his wife onto his lap and kissing her temple.

“Continue, Ben. Sorry.” Camilla smiled.

“Um, yeah so... I was wondering if I could ask for YN’s hand in marriage? I-I have a plan, I-if you’ll let me.” Ben stammered.

“Yes! Oh goodness, Ben absolutely! Tell us all about it.” Camilla beamed.

“Well... you know how Roger proposed to you at Live Aid? YN’s told me all about it and how perfect it was, and well...”

The next morning Ben’s alarm went off at 6 AM sharp. YN groaned at the sound and Frankie lifted her head off of Ben’s chest and let out a little bark.

“Yes, Sweet girl. I will feed you. Let mummy sleep.” Ben whispered, lifting her from the bed onto the floor so she could follow him into the kitchen.

Whispering still as he poured some kibble into Frankie’s dish he whispered,

“Today’s the day Franks. Mummy and daddy will finally be fiancé and fiancée!” The biggest smile graced his face and Frankie barked in response.

After making himself and YN a cup of coffee, he made his way back into their bedroom and placed it on the end table. Climbing back into bed beside her, she nuzzled into him and hummed contently.

“Baby. I have to go to set now, but you’re going to come visit me, right?” He whispered, kissing her lips lightly and sitting up to leave.

“Noooo, stay baby. Don’t go.” She whined, attempting to pull him back.

“Babe. It’s the first official day of filming your dad would kill me. Plus, we’re shooting Live Aid today, you’ve gotta be there!” He smiled, kissing her goodbye.

“See you at noon for lunch, baby. Dad wants sushi, since he hates craft services. Do you want anything?”

“Just to see you, my love. Now I’m going before I’m late. I love you!” He said, running out of their flat.

On set, around 11:30 Ben was running around like a chicken with his head cut off trying to get everything ready.

“Ben, sweetheart, calm down. Everything will be fine. She hasn’t texted me yet so that means she’s still at the restaurant.” Camilla sighed, rubbing Ben’s back in an attempt to calm his nerves.

“I just want everything to be perfect. She’s the love of my life and she deserves the best.” Ben smiled.

“YN just texted me, she’s on her way!” Roger shouted, running out onto the makeshift Wembley Stadium stage.

Camilla walked over to her husband and gave him the widest grin she could muster before kissing him passionately and whispering,

“He’s perfect for her, my love. I can’t wait.”

“If he’s anything like me, of course he’s perfect, my Queen.” Roger said, wrapping his arms tighter around his wife of 32 years.

“Dream on, Taylor.” She smirked.

Just then, Lucy yelled out from backstage,

“YN just texted me guys! She’s finding a parking space.”

“Alright. Showtime!” Ben smiled, while still obviously quite nervous.

Roger made his way to his drums on the stage while the real Brian and Deaky also picked up their instruments and began to lightly play “You’re My Best Friend,” Ben and YN’s designated Queen song.

When YN walked out onto the set she first spotted her father and uncles in a semi jam session and her boyfriend pacing the stage as her mother stood behind her father on the drum rises.

“Hello, my love. I brought you some lunch.” YN greeted, kissing his cheek and taking his hand in hopes that he would stop pacing.

“Actually, love. I’m not really hungry right now.” Ben said, suddenly the ring in the pocket of his ADIDAS track pants felt like it weighed a thousand pounds, screaming “let me out of here!! Put me on her finger!”

“Oh, okay. Do you want to just hang out in your trailer until lunch is over?” YN smiled, wrapping her arms around his waist kissing him.

Just then Roger bangs the cymbal rather hard and halts the song.

“Jesus Christ, Ben, just do it!” Roger yells, causing his wife to smack him in the back of the head and give a hushed, “shut up you wankuh!” But kissing his cheek quickly afterwards. Brian and John nearly bust a gut.

YN raises an eyebrow as she realizes something is off, and looks up at Ben as he pulls away.

“YN, I lied. I-I’m actually starving right now. But I need to tell you ... or rather ask you something.” Ben smiled, taking hold of her left hand and getting down on one knee. YN gasps, And begins to tear up.

“YN Y/M/N Taylor, I have loved you since I bumped into you at that bookstore in Piccadilly over 5 years ago. Since then I’ve watch you flourish and grow. Graduating university, moving in together, adopting our baby Frankie. You’ve seen me go from a lowly soap opera twat to playing your father in a Hollywood movie — thanks for getting him to give me drum lessons before Brian Singer found out I couldn’t actually drum, by the way.” He smiled through the tears that were steadily cascading down his red cheeks. YN too was crying like a baby, and she knew that behind her, so were her parents.

“I can’t wait to adventure so much more with you. I love you so damn bad, baby. Will you marry me?” He finished.

“Yes, baby. Of course I’ll marry you!” YN chocked, pulling him up off of his knees and sliding the Cartier ring onto her finger, kissing him as if her life depended on it.

Bri, Deaky and her dad all lifted YN off the ground and spun her around. Rami, Joe, Gwil and Lucy all ran out from backstage hollering like maniacs.

“You did it, you crazy fucks! It’s about time!” Joe laughed engulfing his best mate in a hug.

“It sure was, mate.” Ben laughed, reuniting with his girl once the congratulations were over.

“Hey babe, I think you beat my dad’s proposal.” YN smiled, admiring the ring on her finger as Ben held her waist from behind.

“I’m glad, Ms. Jones.”

I made it!

This is a VERY overdue update. I’ve already been in Australia for two weeks! This post will only cover my travel experience, though. I’ll talk about my first two weeks in another post, and put up some photos I’ve taken since I arrived.

WOW what a long trip. I left my house at 6:15am EST on 2/3/18 and arrived in Sydney around 6:30am AEST 2/5/18. Sydney is 16 hours ahead of Buffalo, and I effectively skipped Sunday completely while traveling. I try not to think about that fact because it messes me up. Overall, it was about 31.5 hours of travel from door to door. That includes layovers, waiting on the tarmac, waiting for luggage, and car travel. IT WAS NOT FUN.

I flew out of the Toronto airport because it’s a lot cheaper than flying from Buffalo, and my family drove me and dropped me off at the airport. My parents were really emotional and crying when they left me at security, but I was surprisingly ok. My dad hardly ever cries, so seeing him crying in public and so sad to see me go almost made me cry, but I stayed strong.

I felt pretty good for the first leg of the flight. I had been weirdly ok with the whole move this entire time, and I tried not to question it too much because I didn’t want to make myself feel scared or anxious on purpose. I was excited to be traveling and had the BEST seat on the plane from Toronto to Dallas right behind first class. More leg room than first class, and no one sitting next to me. There was a guy sitting in FC across the aisle from me, and he kept looking back at me with this mad look on his face because he paid twice as much for his ticket and got a worse seat. I was really living the dream for those 4.5 hours. I could stretch my legs out the full length and not even hit the seat in front of me. Glorious. And I even got free pretzels.

The layover in Dallas was awful. 5.5 hours with nothing to do but charge my electronics and download stuff from Netflix. I found my gate easily enough, and got lunch from Applebee’s... hardly my first choice restaurant but at least I knew what I was getting. I was there at about 2pm local time and eating at the bar. The bartender was quite nice and kept offering me drinks, but I didn’t want to drink alcohol, lest I risk a hangover on a 16-hour plane ride. The other people at the bar, however... nothing stopped them. There was a guy at the other end of the bar who looked like he was about 18 sipping down some giant pink drink. Then a grown-ass man walked into this bar at 2pm and ordered a Long Island iced tea. I couldn’t believe it but it happened. The kitchen staff was also wildly incompetent and the assistant manager was on the verge of firing everyone. I sat there with my chicken strips and watched it all happen like

The waiting was bad for a lot of reasons. First of all, it was incredibly boring. I was traveling alone with a purse and a carry-on, and any time I wanted to go somewhere, even the bathroom, I had to pack everything up and bring it with me. I didn’t want to keep doing that, so I mostly had to stay in one place the entire time. Second, waiting with nothing to do gave my anxiety a chance to build and surface. I had been really ok with moving. Too ok with it. I’m not someone who handles massive changes well, and yet here I was almost totally unbothered by moving 10,000 miles away. It was around dusk when the anxiety hit. I started panicking, wondering what the hell I was doing moving this far away by myself. I missed my parents so much, even though we’d only been apart about 8 hours. It was like 4 months of pent-up anxiety surfaced all at once. I legit almost had a panic attack in the airport; it was pretty bad. I rushed off the to the bathroom and let myself cry a little bit, then I texted my parents. They helped calm me down and made me laugh to get my mind off things.

When it was time to board, I almost wasn’t allowed to! I had gotten my passport renewed last minute and never updated my visa with my new passport number, so technically I didn’t have a valid visa to enter Australia. I was like WTF this can’t really be happening!! Luckily, the gate attendant was able to call someone in Australia and have them update my passport information for me. ALSO luckily, all Australian visas are electronic, so there was no delay.

The plane we flew to Australia on was huge! Probably the biggest plane I’ve ever been on. I paid extra for an extra legroom seat, and it was worth every penny. The seats were pretty small, and because mine was in one of the front rows, I couldn’t put my armrest up, but the legroom gave me enough space to work with. I kept getting hit with waves of anxiety and panic throughout the flight, but I tried to brush it off. When I get really anxious about something, I start looking for an out. I kept thinking about ways to get out of it, but then I told myself I hadn’t even gotten there yet. What was I so afraid of? What if I liked it? I had to give it a chance! I also distracted myself with hour after hour of Netflix. Grace & Frankie and The Great British Baking Show got me through that flight quite admirably. Plane food... not good, not worth discussing.

The flight was truly endless. You think you’re mentally prepared for a 16-hour flight, but you’re not. I’ve been on 8 and 9 hour flights, and it’s nothing compared to this. Every time you think it’s almost over, you realize you’ve got another 6 hours to go. It’s so much time to fill and there’s not much to fill it with. And your internal clock is so messed up from the time changes that time really does cease to exist and you don’t even care that you woke up at 4am for breakfast.

I was absolutely exhausted once we landed. I ended up talking to a flight attendant while waiting to deplane, and she was really nice. I think she could tell I was nervous. She moved to Australia from somewhere in Eastern Europe 30 years ago, so she understood how hard it was to be away and to move somewhere new. She said in a way it was good that I was sad, because it meant I had family and friends that loved me. I almost cried right there on that plane, but once again, I held it together. After that, it was a long struggle to get my 150 pounds worth of bags onto a cart and get an uber, but I managed that. I finally made it to my room 30 hours later... and here we are.

The death of a fabulous killjoy part two of two

After that day Frank rarely left Gerard's side, he thought about how he could be gone at any moment so he didn’t want to waste any time that he had left. They were always talking about tours and what stupid stuff they did after shows and why the hell did they kiss on stage like that? everything was ok, in fact, everything was great, but was everything… alright? No matter what they spoke about there was always a slight tension as if Gerard wanted to say something but covered it up with inane conversation. Frank was picking up on the tension and asked outright

“Is there something you want to tell me?” Frank always was matter-of-fact with things like this, he didn’t like secrets.

“Well. I guess… no not really” the hesitation in his breath before the half-assed cover-up was a blatant tell to an obvious lie

“Come on dude! You can tell me whatever it is!” Frank said it with the subtle ghost of a laugh in his voice to try and lift the spirit of the conversation. The conversation temporarily lightened with a fleeting smile on Gerard's face but this discussion was headed downhill to a dark place neither of them wanted to go

“Well while you went to the cafeteria a few days ago the doctor came in and told me a lot of stuff…” Gerard looked at Franks shoes, he looked almost ashamed he hadn’t told his dearest friend sooner of the news

“I.. I’m…” Gerard looks like he’s about to cry his eyes well up with tears

“They told me I will die in the next few weeks if I'm lucky” Frank looked mortified

“Weeks? If your.. Lucky?” Frank put his head in his hands

“They said if I wanted then they could” Gerard stops mid-sentence realising how insensitive it’d sound, he proceeded without further notice to how aggressive he was with his words

“They said they would euthanize me if I wanted, and I do, I'm sorry Frank if you think otherwise but it's my life or in my case my death.” franks face fell he was taken aback by Gerard's bluntness

"Gee i-"

"I know I should have told you sooner and I'm sorry I just..." Gerard's voice tapers off and he looks at Frank's face he wore a small solemn, appreciative, smile.

"what?"

"I was going to say before you interrupted that I'm happy that you made a decision, it's not my place to force you to suffer."

two days later the doctors were prepared for Gerard's final shot

"the shot will give you couple minutes before it takes effect, enough time to say your goodbyes I hope!" the doctor's voice was unsettlingly chipper Frank thought to himself as he dribbled on about how it lets hid friend die peacefully and 'quickly'.

"yes doctor I understand, thank you" Gerard looks to the man as he weels in a small cart with needles and scalpels only to take one small syringe and stab it with swift and graceful precision into Gerard's IV drip. Frank only had a few minutes to say goodbye to his friend he'd known for years.

"Hey, you good?" frank gripped Gee's arm gently to see if he was still awake

"yea I'm good, not dead yet" Gee chuckled to himself

"man, this might not be the time but your lips are chapped to shit!" Frank decided to spurt out.

"thanks, you do know I could die any second now and you tell me my lips are chapped and faded?" Gerard laughs at his reference he doesn't especially like to reference his lyrics but in some cases, it's almost called for. Gerard's eyes flutter as he slowly puts his head down

"don't forget me, Frank"

"how could I ever? you'll live forever in the lights you make and Gee, you're like a huge Christmas tree in a town square with an infinite number of lights surrounding you. But obviously you're there all year round" a tear falls down Gerard's pale face

"I'll find you when the sun goes black" Gerard barely whispers at this point he's basically mouthing his words

"Gee.. can you hear the music now?"

"you only hear the music when your heart begins to break, Frank, and for the first time in a long time I feel whole."

Frank had watched all his friends die and Gerard was the last to go. Frank couldn't live without them especially Gee now being gone that was a whole new level of lonely.

it took 2 years for Frank to give up on himself leading him to a downward spiral...

As Frank took the pills in his hand and swallowed a whole two bottles he sat back on his chair and turned the T.V on. soft voices came from outside his window it sounded like Gerard. As Frank stood he felt lighter than usual, he ignored the sensation, he opened his curtains. the sun was black. then turning back to see himself in his chair slumped over foaming at the mouth. Gerard still pale faced like the day he died stood there watching the T.V

"did the T.V make you feel the pills you ate?" All Frank could do was stare, Gee walked closer and a hand touched his shoulders, Ray and Mikey stood behind him

"thanks for joining us Frankie" a tear slipped down franks cold face as Gee cupped frank's cheek in one hand

"you're safe now, join us frank, there's a parade waiting for us"

The Office US (The UK version is garbage, everyone here agrees, it has some awkward moments but overall, I grew to love the characters) REBA (Reba McEntire. ‘Nuff said.) Malibu Country (Once again. Reba McEntire. Oh and Lily Tomlin. This was just her audition to play Frankie tbh. Muneca Brava (this show causes a lot of pain but honestly Natalia Oreiro is so beautiful and she has insane chemistry with Facundo Arana) Sos Mi Vida (Natalia Oreiro and Facundo Arana REUNITED! IN A COMEDY! AND THREE SIBLING ORPHANS THAT FIND A LOVING HOME! I love this show) Warehouse 13 (CUTE PUPPIES THAT PROTECT THE WORLD AND HAVE GREAT BANTER!!!! But the end just was ridiculous and MYKA AND H.G. TOGETHER FOREVER!!!!!!) I used to really dislike it, but that was mainly because there was a Dutch song about my name (this one) that some boys from my class sang EVERY fucking school day, and sometimes even multiple times a day. It really ruined my name for me. Recently, though, my mom told me that?? The song came out somewhere around the time before my grandpa died when he was still hospitalized?? and?? he heard the song and liked it??? So i don’t really hate the song anymore, and I’ve kinda grown to like my name again. A lot of people still refer to me as ‘Rose’, though, since that’s just a lot shorter.

I went to the hospital pretty often as a child because I was?? Not Very Tall?? and the docters were Concerned or something. they basically took some blood and checked how much I had grown since the last time I visited.

When that was done I didn’t visit the hospital until I got hit by a car on my way to school and broke my clavicle. It hurt. A Lot.

The last time I went was like, 2 years ago?? To get my thyroid tested?? I was basically Really Fucking Anxious back then and constantly felt like?? Like shit I guess?? And as if I was going to die?? Sort of?? but not really?? Let’s just keep it at “I was really anxious about having a fast heartbeat” to keep it simple. I’m over it now, though. God, even just walking made me anxious back then.
