I love that the thai BL industry moved over from fake-relationship fanservice to letting their actors just be silly and wilding on tiktok & insta.

Still as a task / homework / testing area requested by the producers obviously. But it feels more natural and free in most cases. In that setting the cast can still do fanservice if they want to but it's closer to in-character acting and simple teasing than whatever ''maybe we are dating maybe not'' they had going in the past in interviews & promo events.

imo it's more obvious playing around and having fun from the actors sides (tho there are still delulus who can't differentiate between acting, joking, reality and wishful thinking). It's more fun for us to watch. I rather witness my beloveds being silly or thirst trapping on their own accounts, doing what they want with whom they want from the cast. It's neat.

Like best examples atm are the casts from Pit Babe, The Sign and Playboyy (the only 3 I follow, it's probably more hopping on that trend. I know some other companies are in on it too).

Specifically noticed with the Playboyy cast: the fixed actor duos are all very different in how they use tiktok in their ship constellation. Some are more flirty, some more silly, some are more into acting stuff out, some just do cute dancing or memes, some barely do any of the couply stuff. It's up to them, which is fine.

And then we still have tiktoks with different / all cast members doing stuff together, not just the pairs being highlighted. That's new too and nice to see.

Anyways I am fine with whatever they want to give, as long as they have fun and it's not fake relationship or fake friendship. If they don't vibe with eo personally then so be it, don't make them act outside of their job and boundaries.

AND if there are close friends within the cast who are not a ship but still like to do stuff together publicly SO BE IT (looking at Nut and Sailub from Pit Babe).

Dr pt2 spoiler warning

This was a fantastic set of episodes

• Kai and wyldfire are everything. Kai having to deal with someone who acts like he did in the earlier seasons is poetic justice and funny as hell.

• I also like how they kinda tried to explain why Kai seemed calm after sea bound and nyas seaifcation. I guess Kai meditating with wu would make him calmer. At least it confirms that Kai was upset (even if they didn’t show it)

•I am kinda upset that nothing from skybound was brought up with the Djinn. I personally don’t really like skybound but I still find that it could be used more than just oh yah that happened right wink wink. I mean we had to suffer through skybound for something right?

• I actually really liked sora and nyas whole plot with the Djinns curse. It was fun and had a nice conclusion.

• Coles return is great I love his little gang in the land of forgotten things. My favorite has to be the skeleton girl (I forgot her name probably cuz they only say it like 2 times) she’s funny.

• I do wish there was a scene where nyas like btw I found Cole and the other ninja react. I mean she does mention it at the end but no one except Zane has any real reaction.

• Beatrix going off the rails was really funny. It felt like someone gave a teen with daddy issues an insta death weapon.

• rapton switching sides kinda came out of left field for me. Like the guy isn’t the brightest bulb in the box I think it would be more likely for other characters to switch sides. Also how did he recover from being tased so quickly? Man was out cold and not two minutes later he was up and walking around.

• kinda felt that the whole being sucked into non existence should have had more lasting effects (totally not because I want to traumatize or brutally injure Kai no why would I want that /s) tho fake out deaths are pretty par for the course with ninjago, this one actually didn’t make me feel all that much cuz I knew the moment wyldfire got pulled in that this was a fake out. They wouldn’t kill one of there new characters that quickly.

•so wus just legitimately fudging dead. Never thought we would see the day when this old mad would just peace out. Also ghost wu legit looks like he’s slowly loosing his form or something cuz in the first half he appears with his full body but in the last scene he’s in he’s just a chest and a head. It might have just been a stylistic thing tho.

•I’m not mad jay only showed up for around 30 seconds (this just might be my bias tho cuz jays probably the ninja I care the least about, not that I hate him or anything he’s just not that interesting to me) it’s kinda refreshing for me cuz nya gets to be her own character for a bit and not be completely attached to Jay and Jay gets to take up less screen time (if I am being honest Jay had so much focus in the wild brain seasons it kinda got annoying to me personally) idk if he’s actually lost his memories or if that leak is wrong cuz it would make sense cuz he has not searched for the ninja (specifically nya cuz that man is a simp for his gf) Arin missing him by a second is hilarious to me.

•not sure about how I feel about Lloyd being the linchpin for the entire thing. Part of me thinks that it would have fit the shows themes better if all of them used their elemental powers or something else to power the cores to fix everything. But another part of me understands that Lloyd get main character privileges cuz he’s the son of ninjago god.

•still kinda frustrated that they are changing how elemental powers work. Originally they were from the first spinjitzu master, but the whole source dragon being the source (for lack of a better word) of the elemental powers, it completely retcons and nerfs the first spinjitzu master. It would have made more sense if they still came from the powers of the fsm and were gifted through the source dragons to people.

•the implication of the cursed realm merging with the rest of the realms brings up the question if the departed realm merged to? Does that mean no one can die??? Or is there some sort of force that still keeps the departed realm separated from the rest (like how the people in the land of the forgotten can’t leave) or can some dude just wander in to the departed realm and see like there dead grandma chilling with the fsm having tea or some crap like that.

•Lloyd going I forgot there are two of them now towards Kai and wyldfires antics is peak writing. And all the arson and explosions the two created is just beautiful.

•I think the Kai and wyldfire duo should be called like the arsonist or the kaboom duo

•THE HUGGG!!!! My boi was so happy looking when the tackle hug was done.

•I just cant get my brain to shut up about these two. They give off tired dad who sometimes gives in to his old chaotic ways he’s sworn he’s grown out of and living embodiment of chaos and fun daughter who drags her dad into crazy things.

Tdlr I loved this second half and had a few issues with it but it was still really good.

Being a highly subjective assessment of one tiny corner of the interwebs. Organized by which ones (in each category) I’m enjoying most.

Ongoing Series - Thai

Step By Step (Tues WeTV & Gaga) ep 10 of 12 - I’m finding the time frames confusing. Still, a lovely crying kiss + a very high drama-lllama gay confession. Kitchen counter make out, my fav! The actor who plays Jeng kisses at MaxTul levels, which is to say = like a man who has actually done it before with genuine desire and is capable of portraying that on screen. (What makes MaxTul kings is that they BOTH do this.) Pat caught up, thank goodness. Also P’Jeng!!!! P’JENG!!! I love how intimate phi is when it’s been all khun prior. This is the Thai version of hyung slinging. Errotic linguistics, my fav. And ALL the work drama and homophobia fall out when you sleep with the boss. I really enjoy that the angst concerning their relationship has to do with the fact that this is an office romance. Lastly? I love Chot so much. Everyone needs a gay auntie. Also Bruce is SO DAMN GOOD. (I mean we knew he would be from Lovely Writer, but this... chef’s kiss.) 

La Pluie (Sat iQIYI) ep 10 of 12 - There are enough meta-analysis on this one for me not to have to weigh in. Suffice it to say that I like what it’s trying to do, and I certainly appreciate the levels of consent and so forth but I’m not sure I actually like it as much now that we are swimming in high concept. Too much lying. I’m not sure I want my BL to make me think this hard. Also poly, boys = final answer. (Anyone else getting Color Rush flashbacks?) 

Be My Favorite (Fri YouTube) ep 6 of 12 - I love Max now and forever, and I made some very bad puns in the Trash watch here. Otherwise I’m not super invested. 

Dinosaur Love (Thai Sun iQIYI) ep 1 of 10 eps - from Ultimate Troop (The Yearbook people) so I shouldn’t watch this as it airs, after Remember Me? I swore never again. But there’s so little on right now, I’m falling on the pulp sword...  My initial thoughts? It’s an En of Love installment? What is going on? Why all this opening with the sides in a bar? Are we framing? Just move on to the 2 boys kissing! Don’t try to be clever, for fucks sake. Okay, good, the pulp has begun. I like soft wet-blanket Rak and his sad love life. I’m not wild about how aggressive Dino is plus insta-SINGING but I DO LIKE THAT HE’S OUT and knows what he wants which is refreshing. It’s trope filled nonsense (crash into me, instalove, sing feelings, floppy drunk, he’s in engineering, fast and bi-curious) also Dino used ter at first (how forward!) then he went to gu/mueng after rejection, while Rak uses khun & phi/pom. Love this for them. Despite my justified reservations with this production team imma stay watching. I need something on Sundays. * 

Luminous Solution (Sat Gaga) ep 6fin - That’s it? Bullsheiit. No seriously. That’s my review. 3/10 I DON'T KNOW WHAT I JUST WATCHED AND NEITHER DOES IT AND I’M MAD ABOUT IT.

* I got to say, you have only yourselves to blame for Dinosaur Love’s ranking. Once upon a time, I lived happily in ignorance of the Thai film industry. And then you all kept asking me extremely intelligent questions about it. And because I am a nosy little shit, I had to figure out what was going on. And now a BL like this, which ordinarily I would just love unconditionally, is a really scary place for me, because I know too much about the production house. The evils of too much information are all true. Remain happily in ignorance, I advise you, especially where BL is concerned. 

Ongoing Series - Not Thai

Love Tractor (Korea Weds iQIYI) eps 7-8fin - Yechan is such a frank character it confuses all who meet him, also a truly terrible flirt. This is such a puppy/cat relationship. It was cute but it went too far into cringe for a KBL (for me). I don’t think Kdramas are good at farce (sorry), better if they stick with more subtle humor. It was a sweet ending tho, not too cheesy. Nice kiss for KBL but pretty rather than sexy. Full review below.

Tokyo in April is... AKA Shigatsu no Tokyo wa (Japan Thurs Gaga) ep 3 of 8 - Oh, it’s GREAT. Damn it. There is a lot of subtext and things not being said. This is going to be one of those shows where it’s endlessly frustrating that they don’t just talk to each other. The crying first time was gut-wrenching. Ren is complicated & scarred & closed off. Kazuma is earnest & empathetic & thinks he’s unworthy - so will take whatever crumbs are handed to him. They are both giving parts of themselves away in a desperate attempt to shape themselves to the expectations they have of each other. These 2 are gonna fuck each other up while they fuck and fuck with our hearts. Japan is giving us the Bed Friends that Thailand can never even imagine. There is absolutely no guarantee this will end happily (it’s from the Eternal Yesterday people) but it is guaranteed to be painful and beautiful along the way. Oh Japan, must you? I guess you must. 

Stupid Genius (Vietnam Fri YouTube) ep 4 of 6 - I’m mostly confused by the catfishing & tarot side plots. But the mains sure act like bfs. To the point of our tiny jock idiot getting gay panicked by how much bfs they are. Surprise kiss! For everyone, it turns out. Yes I laughed. What? It was pat but also… FUNNY.

Tie The Knot (Pinoy YouTube) ep 3 of 8 - The main couple is adorable, but I’m not wild about the gay bashing blackmail side story. Still, it’s the best we’ve had from the Philippines in a while so I am keeping my fingers crossed. 

Vian the series (Vietnam YouTube ) ep 9 of 12 - Seriously? Bah Vinh = chemistry with EVERYONE. 

Naked Dinner AKA Zenra Meshi (Japan Fri Gaga) ep 12fin - So Souta just disappears off to Singapore and doesn’t say anything to his boyfriend about it? And then comes back with the perfect plan and life for both of them? Oh Japan, must you? Review below.

House of Stars (Thai Mon iQIYI) 12 eps - I bounced at ep 3. Will binge if told it is worth it at end.

Stay (Pinoy YouTube) 7 eps - It’s mostly English & set in LA (shudder) so I’m not bothering.

Ever After (Pinoy YouTube) 12 eps - Spies reported that it's a real mess and not a hot one.

BL Express reviewed The Egoest. Oh boy am I never going to watch that. 

One in a Hundred - Gaga dropped all 12 episodes (c.10 min ea) at once. This is a 2020 Chinese show. It’s not BL. And it has a laugh track. I watched the first & final eps and won’t bother with the rest. DNF

I finally watched the 2022 thing I should have. 

To Sir, With Love - REVIEW

This is a true lakorn with scenery chewing performances from an ensemble cast focused on family obligation and past sins, especially from the mother characters. It is a Thai tellenovella + Gone With the Wind but gay. That said? I loved it: A glorious central brother relationship (the best, made me cry), het romances, class divide + gay *gasp* main romance, the camp of it all! It’s like it was invented by drag queens. Arranged marriage, rebellion, cut sleeves, dramatic death with curses and regrets, beautiful if inaccurate costumes, secrets unraveling, cover ups, sparkle murder, sex herbs, coils within coils including snakes and death by glitter (is anything gayer on this earth?). It’s a WILD ride. It’s not BL. It’s not a romance, it’s a family drama Thorn Birds style but it does end happy for our gay boys. Like Manner of Death I’m struggling to rate something on a BL scale when it patently isn’t a BL. I think I have to give it exactly what I gave that show, 7/10 

I loved it, but not as a BL. 

RECOMMENDED WITH RESERVATIONS (over its BLness) 

Zenra Meshi - REVIEW

AKA Naked Dinner 

I have to be honest, I didn’t really like much about this show. The central premise was too odd and the main character too clumsy & slow on the uptake. I like the food, but there have been food-set BLs before that failed to meet expectations. Too many of them. This one joined that throng. Good ending tho. 7/10 

RECOMMENDED WITH RESERVATIONS

Love Tractor - REVIEW

Most of this country-set BL had me feral for the beautiful broken city boy and his hot young farmer. Hyung romance, puppy/cat pairing, open frankness meets jaded reserve, language play, water hose frolicking, only one bed, all my favorite tropes. This show was basically a light-weight Restart After Come Back Home and I’m not even slightly mad about that. 

But (and you knew there was a “but” coming) something about the cringe of the final 2 eps and the impermanence of the ending (both of which highlight the fact that ultimately these 2 are I’ll-suited: too different & too far apart) left me with the feeling that they probably won’t last as a couple. However, in this case, rare for me, I forgive it this finale for my love of the rest. 

I did dither a lot though, it’s not an 8 but not a 9 either. Better than Love Mate (8/10) not as good as The New Employee (9/10) but in the end I’m value adding up for the premise and the cast, giving it a 9/10. 

RECOMMENDED 

(Gotta say, because this is rare for me, that this had a great OST. Not the credit music but the refrain, Rainbow.)

7/3 Be Mine SuperStar (Thai Mon Viki) 12 eps - JaFirst whipping boy/spoiled prince, obsession, celebrity/mundane. Third-year film student Punn (Ja) gets an internship on the set of a drama. He’s come to learn, but "what lights his passion even more than the work" is leading man Achi, Thailand's sweetheart. Adapted from the novel “The Superstar and the Puppy on Set” (พี่พระเอกกับเด็กหมาในกอง) by Orpheus, cast includes Benjamin Brasier (2moons2), Bosston Suphadach (UWMA), Jo Kavinpat (War of Y), Kokliang (TharnType). Directed by David Bigander (Bite Me) which makes me nervous. Maybe he'll do better with an adaptation?

7/6 Minato's Laundromat Season 2 AKA Minato Shouji Coin Laundry Season 2 (Japan Thu ????) 12 eps - The story is a continuation of Minato & Shin's love story, and it picks up 10 years after the events of season 1 but the characters don't seemed to have grown at all. Very Japan of you, Japan.

7/7 Stay By My Side (Taiwan Fri Gaga) 10 eps -  Gu Bu-Xia has the ability to hear ghosts, except when he is around his new roommate Jiang Chi. So he starts to find ways to approach Jiang Chi. But is it  the ghosts or Jiang Chi’s charm?

7/8 Low Frequency (Thai Sat YouTube?) 8 eps - ghost boyfriend, celebrity/mundane - Mon's life as a spirit-seeing interior decorator is full of headaches. On good days, he helps settle problems for his relative, who is a star manager. But then he gets involved with the spirit of Thames, a famous young actor who is in a coma.

7/9 Hidden Agenda (Thai Sun GMMTV YouTube) 12 eps - JoonDunk are back. Zo, a college freshman whose never been in love, decides to change it by making the college’s star Nita as his gf. He approaches Joke, Nita’s ex, for dating advice. What he fails to realize is that Joke has had his eyes on him for a long time and uses this opportunity to approach Zo. TMS 2.0.

7/15 Laws of Attraction (Thai Sat ????)  Stars the pair from To Sir With Love and with the same production team, cryptic description, but it seems to be Manner of Death esk.

7/19 Wedding Plan (Thai Wed YouTube & iQIYI)  - It's Mame and she's coming for our GL. She's such a misogynist IMAGINE what we will get with a GL? It's going to be absolute carnage. To crane your neck as you drive by the car wreck or not... that is the question. Me? I'm wallowing in the guts.

been a wild rollercoaster. Still far from over getting bullied out of art school due to my heavy learning disablilty. still dont feel like im safe at home even tho ive not been homeless/on the streets for almost 2 years now. still miss my abuser even tho ive been away for years now.

but on the flipside, i reconnected with my best irl friends, and ive finally felt like ive started living an "adult" life, going out, going to concerts, taking the first steps of getting a proper job and finally seeing a dietican for my ED.

I still feel like i havent made any progress at all, i mean damn my mentals been worse in the last 3 months than it has been in years. but idk. we keep goin, we keep trying to improve ig.

been a great year for my art tho, had my first taste of slight virality, with the paper mario print selling over 100 copies (!!!!!!!) and a decent chunk of the badges selling too.

tldr, idk, idk how i feel at the end of the year here n now.

My first two days of school have been soooo wild like i almost died twice and three of my classmates DID die (one of them twice!!!) (they came back dw) but, like, is college supposed to be like this???

Anyways i got this cool work-study at the school cafe (i look supes cute in the little barista aprons! plus i got to take home some of the sweets after my shift!!), but on our very first day some janitor kept saying he was our boss?? idk tbh 😒 The cafe was a mess so we had to, like, clean the whole place and some coffee ghosts attacked us. My hair was a NIGHTMARE before the place even opened, but you know ya girl had extra hair ties and can work hair magic in a pinch, so it was totally fine.

Some of my coworkers r definitely cooler than others, but whatevs. It was nice to finally meet new people (well...mostly new) after going to school with the same, like, 100 people for the past 18 years of my life uuggghhhh This school is pretty cool overall- they even got THE Danny Breeze (and the boys!) to come play on campus and had a new student raffle for 6 VIP tickets!! Which i won ofc bc i'm the obvious choice 🎉

I ended up inviting my new coworkers bc it felt like a good way to bond with them, and also i haven't even had my first day of classes yet so idk who else i wouldve gone with. DEF not my roommate. There were like some ppl I probs wouldn't have invited but like idk it just felt rude to invite everyone BUT them so 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

But like the concert ended up being way crazier than i couldve imagined! The manager came to us practically begging on her knees for my help because she lost track of THE ENTIRE BAND. idk if i'm allowed to go suuuper into detail about it, but basically the band got kidnapped by some nasty industry folks who were trying to CLONE them! It felt like one of those scifi movies that Vol always makes me watch. We had to FIGHT the evil clones too! I almost died again! On my S E C O N D day at Strixhaven!! That's me at 2 near-deaths, Lulu and Muk at 1 full KO each, and Mettie at TWO. I cannot stress enough that orientation isn't even until TOMORROW.

I got like rlly angry at one of the clones, too. It ruined my vintage shirt from depop so i yelled at it, and then when it died i kinda like? Absorbed some of its life energy? I don't know, maybe i was just really relieved we weren't in danger any more, but i swear some of the nerve damage from the electrocution healed up. idk what that was all about.

Doesnt matter tho cuz we ended up being able to party on stage with the band once we saved them all (yeah, if you see videos of the concert from last night, you can totally see me on stage!! 🎤🌸) AND we got to go to the exclusive after-party. I can't talk about everything that happened, but let's just say i ended up with Coale's shirt to take home 😘 I have a TON of pics to share later!! You guys should seriously follow my insta or dinkdonk, i had soooo many lives and videos to post!! I'll keep posting life updates here but fr im wayyy more active over there. ttyl bestiesss

Maybe that's why I have these moments where I'm like dude I like Joe because we really are quite similar when it comes to things we are weird about. But anyway, I relate to your friend (although my case is also a bit different because I still live with my mom, so if it weren't for that I would probably need to pay bills in a different way) because I have a phone and it's not fancy at all. I don't even know if you can use Google pay like you were saying. I think you can but I don't use it. But it fits what I need it for. I didn't even get this phone, until my old one stopped functioning completely. I also don't use a credit card. And I have a digital camera 😂 although tbf my phone camera is almost as good so I use both to take photos

Unlike your friend though, I don't expect people to pay for me too. I'm mostly a homebody so when I do go out, it's very much with intent and a lot of times by myself anyway. I know where I'm going and I know what I need to pay for. If I'm going out to eat I like to choose where beforehand or decide what first. If I need to buy something, I know the price of it. So when I go out I take money with me enough to fit what I need and just a little extra incase there's a unforseen thing of some kind.

That prevents me for buying more than what I need and not buy something on the spot that I don't need or end up spending more than I wanted. If I do end up finding out something else, it forces me to choose on which to spend my money on.

I always go for this method and so far it has always worked great for me. If you don't have money, you can't spend it

Just for clarity again like my friend didn't expect me to pay - she just didn't do your thing of having done the research upfront but she'd done essentially the same thing. She'd brought cash out with her. (And her useless ass phone and her camera lol). I'd suggested that specific place because they had like a Ladies Night promo/special evening thingie that popped up for me on Insta and I sent it to her and she was keen so we went. She did realise the cashless situation pretty quickly - I think we'd ordered one drink each and were looking at the menu and she read the cashless part and DID immediately panic and like fwiw if I hadn't had enough money in my card for w/e reason we could've just gone somewhere else and split the tab fairly but I *did* have money in my card lol (well on my phone lmao) so I suggested we stay because it was a cool event and vibe.

It was just mildly inconvenient for me because I hadn't planned on "withdrawing" that much cash and rarely carry much cash around full stop because I'm actually the opposite to you lol like when I have cash I tend to spend the absolute fuck out of it because everything individually seems so cheap? Whereas when I use my card I can see the overall balance pop up after every transaction and be like "okay Nat my bestie, it is time for us to go home now" to myself. Not even just being out tho, I get that way with bigger purchases too. I had a period of time where a lot of my income was cash based because I was doing in person lessons and the people would pay every time (this can be an interesting sidebar to this sidebar because what I was mostly doing was teaching Russian speaking strippers English?? It was a wild couple months lmao) and I spent THE ABSOLUTE FUCK out of it because somehow handing over physical money that's just there is less emotionally intense for me than swiping. Maybe it's like a remnant of childhood pocket money idk like "oh look here's a hundred quid score let's spend it" whereas when it's in my actual card like I can manage it better idk. That is btw what happened with her half of the tab also like I spent that super quickly too. I'm also like a lot more generous when I have cash? Idk I buy other people random shit too because I'm like "oh look I have cash!!! I've got this for us!!!" as though that's somehow different to yk my actual money.

Back to you though, your thing doesn't sound annoying because you check beforehand. If she'd checked beforehand and said "oh no I'm not keen" or idk BROUGHT HER CARD like she COULD'VE done that the once then it would've been easy peasy.

Truly. School festival? Wild i dont think ive ever been to one of those. Not sure mine ever had them but im glad you had so much fun! Its not completely finished yet i get that done next week but its very cool i love it. I have like. 12 piercings now with still more i want. They were a slippery slope from getting two to all the ones i have & want but i hope you're able to get some in the future. I think i like my eyebrow & lip piercings best. this book was half meh / half awesome, with a pinch of chapters that randomly started off with a summary of the previous chappy, like why? - but honestly knowing that it's two authors makes perfect sense💀

tbh after the first 17% / 2 hours it was a chore to pick this back up, but I'm glad I did, cos it ended up producing some pretty fun scenes, once things started going

× QB everyone, the guy was such a cinnamon roll, but he also knew how and when to take charge, he fuckin carried this book on his big, handsome back

× the cat references on insta & irl, their date to the painting shop, the painting he did of the two of them with the backdrop of a times square that's littered with cat puns, eating maccyDs in the car wash, doing a 6 hour back & forth flight just to be in the same death trap as your crush, said crush returning the favor & visiting you at the arena, Cat surprising QB at their game in his jersey (no.9 baby), letting him know she's all in and the guy finding his play mojo and quinching that victory in the last 15s with a 32 yard TD, when he spent the past 4 quarters playing like shit & eating dirty cos he was heartbroken, helping her over the railing after the game and smooching in front of everyone then declaring his love on espn right there on the field, moving in together and hanging her paintings in their new home, creating her a workspace, just chefs fuckin kiss all of it

I could start listing the not so great, but I'm not gonna waste my time on it, (tho the BJ scene and the lead up was😭💀) I found that the good stuff made up for the not so great and it was worth wading thru, cos the highs were really high

ok picture this: they're a bunch of assholes who are neighbours in the same shitty apartment complex and they all collectively hate their cheapskate landlord (diavolo) who never fixes anything

sorlato have lived there the longest and they're great neighbours as long as you ignore the bumps in the night that's usually them doing god knows what. no one knows what they get up to or really what they do for a living but everyone figures (hopes) it's only Slightly illegal. very much Older Gays who make sure all the other little gays are fed and in exchange they might ask for help with their newfangled smartphones

risotto's lived there second longest, quiet and intimidating as hell but polite if you say hi while crossing paths at the mailboxes. he's a piercer and tattoo artist and once his buddies find out where his parlor is he never knows peace again because someone is always dropping by to gossip or bother him between appointments but sometimes they'll bring a snack. occasionally will feel his metal music vibrating through the paper thin walls but only in the middle of the day when he figures everyone is out or won't be bothered.

illuso is an influencer and one a those fashion and beauty ppl that are big on insta and youtube and ghiaccio is a part time twitch streamer so they collab sometimes and melone helps with tech stuff lol. sometimes illuso will post outtakes of the three of them being stupid, or him and melone being stupid and ghiaccio is screaming about it offscreen

but melone is some STEM guy in grad school and ghiaccio is working towards going pro in figure skating, he posts videos of skating or ballet choreography sometimes and people go wild for it. mel also still has his motorcycle that ghiaccio and prosciutto bond over hating because it's so damn noisy and they are grumpy old men

ghiaccio also has a bunny (white album) even tho their complex probably doesn't allow pets but diavolo can kiss his ass. formaggio also has his kitty (little feet) that u can see him taking for walks on his lil kitty harness. formaggio is a great neighbour and probably just leaves his door unlocked while he's home so his buddies can waltz in whenever to hang out. sometimes if risotto's had a rough day he'll wordlessly walk in and press his face against little feet's soft tummy (the cat likes him more than it likes formaggio) and formaggio is just like yep i get u buddy

they have a gc that sorlato and risotto barely know how to work. any typo in the gc incidents are swift and brutal in their response.

their building is also probably no smoking but sorlato are still like hey besties who wants to come over and hotbox the place with us :) just don't look under the sink ok ❤️💕

Eren is the number 1 menace, I swear, he likes keeping an aesthetic and he wants your face on his profile, and he wants to be in yours, and he will brainstorm for cool captions for you both 😭 Jean acts all shy, but that tall mf also lowkey feels the same way as Eren 😭. Mikasa is very relaxed and cute about it, she’s so effortless when it comes posting you on her feed, same with Sasha probably. Connie would post your funny faces 100% while Armin….blonde coconut I feel would be shy at first but is a fan of couple-y posts. Eren and Connie are fiends and almost shameless in how much they want to be on your socials. If you do the thing where you record your food when you’re out to eat with Eren, he’ll interject into your video—“And me! She’s with me!! Show me!!” After some time—or if you tease him by purposefully leaving him out of the frame—he’ll just snatch your phone when you’re recording or taking pictures and makes sure to get himself with the front camera 😭😭 oh and you will be on his, it comes with the price of dating him, he loves posting videos that gradually zoom in on your face before you notice he’s recording.

Connie just photobombs everything. Even if just his eyebrows make in the frame, you better post it. He’s watching you. He loves taking funny selfies and posting them with absolutely no context, and videos too!! He reminds me of that TikTok of the guy who pans the camera to his gf laying in the grass is like, “We had a beach date, and, yeah I love her,” and pans the camera to his face, “I’m faster than her tho. We raced. But yeah, love her.”

Jean pretends like he doesn’t care if you don’t post him, but he cares 😭😭 he’s always willing to take a photo for you, but he wants to take them with you too!! He’ll not so subtly be like, “Hey, did you post those pics from the other day?” as a gentle “reminder,” and he’s honestly so cute you gotta give into him. He likes posting pics with you too, and claims he’s gotta keep it updated so he’s got something to show his mom—“She’ll think I’m making you up if I don’t have proof, babe.”

Armin gets nervous about posting you at first—the whole being publicly affectionate thing, plus the internet is forever, you know. But once he sees that he doesn’t necessarily have to post you guys holding hands or kissing all the time, he relaxes. Just a picture together, or a picture of you from one of your dates every once in a while is cool with him. He takes good candids and they’re his favorite to edit and make all pretty. He gets surprised whenever you post him, and he’s honestly not checking for it/on social media all that often, so he finds out through a friend like Sasha who’s bubbling, “Armin you guys are gonna make me jealous!! Your beach dates look so cute!!” And Armin’s a little confused, until she adds, “I saw the pictures on Insta!!” And now he’s slightly pink in the face.

Porco is… more likely than not recording you innocently vibing or minding your own business before he comes to bother you bye. He thinks your surprised face is so fucking funny and needs several video evidences of it. He gets grumpy when you get an off-guard of him, but just show it to him after and suddenly he’s like, “I look pretty good there, actually,” like yeah, dumbass, that was the point 🙄🙄 he posts his shit on Twitter tho, and is always acting like he doesn’t know you—“Girlfriend for sale, willing to trade for Breath of the Wild. At least $30 cash otherwise,” and thinks it’s funny when you threaten to block him. Or he’s subtweeting you when you CLEARLY follow him: “Anybody else know someone who falls asleep 30 mins into a drive?? No?? Just me??”

Erwin and his captions anon please I’m hollering. You know he uses the filters embedded into Instagram, too, and it makes some pics come out grainy/more dull. Levi could not care less about what and how much you post of him on social media, and his own is so scarcely updated; he really just has it so he’s not a complete ghost to the world, and to occasionally cure a fit of boredom. The pictures he posts are always nice tho, simple, cleanly edited and shot, and sometimes he’s not even in them. He doesn’t mind if you post him or not, but every once in a while he’ll stop by with a simple heart emoji in the comments. Hange is the undisputed champion of photodumps and you cannot prove me wrong. Above all, they love posting a series of chaotic photos that tell a story—three slides dedicated to photos that caught you falling down; several photos back to back of you stuffing your face with food; frames of the both of you posing for a photo with the front timer but of course something made them topple over you. Their captions don’t help either, almost always unrelated from the disaster that just unfolded. Could have posted a photo dump of you two skipping (and falling) at the park and the caption is like “fun fact: a cockroach can survive up to five weeks with its head cut off!!” (The disconnect between the pics and captions always confuses Erwin. @e.smith: Very cool! But, what do roaches have to do with you guys looking like you broke your ankles? PS—is everybody okay?)

Mikasa is relaxed about posting you, and she lowkey really likes to be posted on your socials. She doesn’t say much about it, but she likes going back through your profile and looking and what you posted, and the comments from your guys’ friends being supportive. The pictures don’t necessarily spell out that you guys are Together, but that’s okay with her; she doesn’t need four pics of you guys kissing on her timeline to make her happy. She has lots of pictures she doesn’t post tho and you’d be shocked to find them, you gotta hype her up a bit to post them, “Mika you look hot here!!! The people need to see!!! Feed them!!!”

It comes naturally to Sasha, too. She likes documenting your dates with pictures and videos and has a blast editing them afterwards, too. Just AirDrop her the pictures you took and she’ll fix them up for both of you to post later. She’s a fan of silly matching captions and is always in your comments with a million emojis.

Pieck absolutely the sweetest girl. Her whole feed manages to naturally come out in soft filters and pastel colors. She always tells you she doesn’t have to edit a thing when you’re in the picture. Definitely posts photo dumps that include pics of food, sunrises, her cats, and a few off-guards of you thrown in there. Abuses the bugs and sparkly emojis in the captions.

Annie literally posts one pic a few months (by a few months, I mean like 11 months) into your relationship with the simple and upfront caption: “This is my girlfriend” and everyone is in the comments immediately bye. Berty is acting super surprised even tho he basically set you guys up, somehow Reiner genuinely didn’t know, and Sasha is clowning him for not catching on, and then he’s like “wait since when????? i thought they were just really good friends????” Mikasa comments a singular scissor emoji and it sends everyone into orbit, even Annie likes the comment.

first of all tysm !!! i love daishou and writing him is just so much fun. here are ur answers! under the cut bc you asked me to infodump and i am simply providing.

8. tell me about your favorite band. go on infodump for me.

anyone who knows me knows that i uh kinda like fall out boy a little bit (read: a lot a bit). this blog started as a fall out boy bandom blog; if u go back far enough in the archive u get some wild love for music stuff. 

BUT it’s on my mind after talking about album art so i’m gonna talk about troye sivan (technically not a band but close enough). so i got into troye in middle school ish and boy did i LATCH on to him. like. certifiably insane abt his music and yt channel. i was @ his first and second tours!! had the absolutely time of my life; fun fact, his first tour was my first concert. 

but when wild was abt to come out, that boy did some crazy promo shit. he did one of those instagram countdowns but (a) wouldn’t tell us what it was for and (b) didn’t use numbers. he posted pictures of circles that gradually got either bigger or smaller idr which as his profile pic. he would drop pics of flower petals drifting across his insta page, which was completely whited out. there was no schedule or anything. he just did it. 

THEN for blue neighborhood, i lost my shit even MORE. he sent us (fans) on a literal WORLDWIDE scavenger hunt to get the first looks at the songs. like u do not understand how absolutely insane it was. we were on twitter trying to sus out the tracklist through a, and i cannot express this enough, worldwide scavenger hunt. and you know what we found. VHS TAPES. it looks like the website was taken down, but there was a tracking system and we worked together on twitter to meet up to play fucking VHS tapes and get the first looks. 

at the time it was fucking INSANE. i LOST my goddamn MIND over all of this !!!! i have genuinely never felt alive in the same way as i did when wild and blue neighborhood were first dropping, and i probably never will again. 

in comparison, the bloom drop was disappointing af. man. they just don’t make em like 2016 album drops anymore. 

i’m no longer as into troye as i was (i still adore blue neighborhood and wild, but his new music isn’t as much my thing), but this was so insane and i just remembered all of it, so i gotta talk abt it w someone. god. i was literally on twitter talking to ppl from australia about a vhs tape they found under a bridge or some shit. insane.
