sloth; the fact that she has her friends soul trapped in the doll. no one can know the true meaning of the doll. thats why she carries it around. shes afraid someone will hear the doll one day. hear her friend talking back to them so she has to make sure no one is alone with her. theyre together forever even if its not what she wants.

envy; :/ her shrine. her shrine is really fucked up in a sense of the fact shes been following this idol around as a "fan" taking pictures when in reality she was capturing different angles so she can get a better image of what her face looks like so she could replicate it. its kinda insane. she hates herself for it. but she thinks its what needed to be done.

sloth; buddy. what doesnt keep her up at night? replaying the funeral, replaying showing up late at the hospital to see her dead friend. everything keeps her up. her guilt, the pain, the regret, even her deal. the doll is her only "peace" and even that torments her so much. she talk to her friend then. apologizing for not showing up. apologizing for locking her in the doll just so she can say sorry until her friend forgives her. she knows she cant sleep because of her own mistakes. but she cant stop herself from blaming her friends death on herself.

—he sneaks into your room every night to fall asleep with you. you fake being annoyed when he comes in and runs his mouth for fifteen minutes, but you don’t actually care. kaminari sleeps with his head covered in pillows, so i imagine he shoves his head into your neck or back, and wraps his arm completely around you once he actually falls asleep. very cuddly dude. once you complained about how it was too hot at night because of him, and instead of letting up he bought you a 75 dollar desk top power fan and told you problem solved.

Sitara:

 Aro/Ace (not just because she wears the flag colors lol)

Dedsec is a big queerplatonic relationship for her. She loves all the guys so much and would kill for them, but as soon as someone mentions her fucking one she kinda just *vomit emoji*

Hyper protective of kids. After the mission with her niece she dedicates at least 10 hours a week to developing software to protect kids on the internet/root out pedos

Hardcore listens to nature noises while she paints/sketches

Fantastic at calling people out on their bullshit. She does NOT let the guys get away with anything demeaning/sexist, even by accident. To their credit, they always apologize and try to do better

Loves weird/facey tea flavors. One time she brought back a bbq boba tea and everyone else gagged. 

Knows everyone’s triggers and actively purges them from Dedsec feeds before the others can see

Crazy wine aunt vibes. Will care for you when sick, but will roast you for how you acted like a baby after.

When she gets panic attacks, she needs weighted blankets. Like, enough to break a few ribs. Wrench sat on her once. It actually helped. 

Loves She-ra. Hacked the studio to watch the eps being made and yelled at the screen like a banshee the whole time. The boys were very afraid.

Actual only straight person in the group. The butt of so, so many jokes.

He, like Marcus, LOVES fashion. While he can’t wear what he wants all the time due to his undercover persona, he buys fashion mags like nobody’s business. Can name his ten favorite designers off the top of his head. 

A little bit very OCD, though you can’t tell by looking at him. Ratio is very anal about what goes where. Everyone knows not to go near his station in the hackerspace. 

One time Wrench knocked over his desk (nearly destroying his rig) and Ratio’s stuff went flying. Wrench almost had a guilt meltdown. Luckily, Sitara had a picture and they managed to put everything back almost exactly. Almost.

Stress cleans. When his undercover stuff is really getting to him, he’ll kick everyone out of the hackerspace and just. Clean. For hours. When they’re allowed back in you could eat off the floor.

Since he can’t be around all the time, he gets little gifts for everyone and leaves them at their stations to show that he’s thinking about them.

Wrench:

We been knew that the boy is suicidal, but he’s manic-depressive bipolar as well (also not shocking)

ADHD

Self medicated with every kind of drug out there.

Marcus and Josh eventually beat him down enough to take Meds That Are Actually Helpful. Sitara mediates. It was A Process. 

All of his fingers are broken from one thing or another, it made him really self conscious when he Marcus and Josh started dating. He didn’t like holding hands because he felt his were ugly. 

Texts solely through emojis like fucking hieroglyphs. Half the time nobody knows what he’s saying. He has no intention to stop. It drives everyone nuts.

Likes to be the middle spoon, with Marcus as the big and Josh as the little

DO NOT let him consume more than three cups of coffee. He will not sleep for days. 

The first few weeks of sleeping with Josh and Marcus he doesn’t take his mask off. He’s terrified. Finally, they manage to get im comfortable enough to do so and his boyfriends have a great time kissing every inch of his face. He laugh-cried from relief. 

He and Marcus have terrible hacker movie night. They watch cheesy hacker moves and laugh at how bad everything is.

Squishy toys help relax him when he’s having a bad manic episode or an anxiety attack.

Marcus’s first gift to him as his boyfriend was a chewy necklace, since he needs his hands to hack. It actually helped more than he thought it would.

He’s the only neurotypical person in Dedsec. Boy was THAT and adjustment. Marus spent months after he joined reading up on everyone’s conditions and how to best help. He feels like a pro now, but is eager to learn. He stayed updated on all medical research. 

Marcus works with Sitara to prepare little emergency ‘fit-kits’ as they call them, for everyone. He can pull them out when someone’s having an episode and help them through it.

It can be a struggle to make sure both his boyfriends are on their meds and keeping themselves healthy, but he’s happy to do it. Marcus can take almost anything life throws at him

Organizes hack offs within the group just to show off, basically. The only one who has beaten him so far is Josh.

Josh isn’t into clubbing, so Marcus and Wrench party hard. When they come home they binge one of Josh’s old shows until all three fall asleep on the couch.

The DreamTM. no voice acting but the characters are bearable. ive played the meganes route because thats who i am as a person and mr moustache man. latters route was okay. the story does have smutty elements so that surprised me tbh hahahha. its okay imo and u can be f2p to finish each route :) 4/10

can you BELIEVE this game got better ranks than the previous two??? its about mc wooing a horse. with a mans head. horses body. i cannot simplify this enough. the reason it beating the 2 games before is because it made me lose my shit SO MUCH i remembered tears coming out of my eyes coz this game is a fcking ride. mc has 1 braincell and its for the sexy horse man. f2p and im thankful for that. no voice acting and honestly im glad it doesnt. 5/10

a classic game. no voice acting. there ARE gijinkas and drama cds however outside of the main game. in the main game u get to date pigeons. actual pigeons. i believe this game was unironically enjoyable like 10-15 years ago. dont be fooled by the pigeons. some of their routes can be EMOTIONALLY NASTY. i cried at one of the pigeons. i lost sleep but its what i deserve. 5/10

my first ever dating sim game!! hence the 3ds picture. full voice acting. it was p enjoyable and while i know the steam version covers most of what the 3ds lacks, i love playing the routes and this was the first game tht traumatized me at the sight of a bad end. sadly not a fan of the canon route despite me loving stoic emotionally guarded characters. i do enjoy the other routes and okita souji has my heart and soul i love and hate him. 6/10

another game by HUNEX.CO. compared to the share house game, i ADORE this one. its surprisingly a sweet mobile otome game! f2p friendly! no voice acting, but they make it up with the story and characters. basically u got tsundere wolf. baby invisible man. yandere mummy. bastard but then gets soft to you vampire. guess who i love in the end. also sidenote the reason this gets higher ranks is the vampires routes alone (they have dating route AND lovers route all in one game) and also the invisible mans route broke me as a person. i hate it. so much. oh my god. 7/10

my second otomate/aksys game! when i found it its sold in google store i legit bought it and left my assignments to play flksdnfjdbf. full voice acting. VERY interesting stories. v intense stories too so its not fun playing at night lol sometimes. all the characters are loveable to each players ref. some of the routes do irk me which sucks coz i have to finish all in order to unlock the canon route. i DO love the canon character so its fine. this game is the game that introduced me to fear in a form of a toma. 8/10

HONESTLY A GAME WHERE I LIKE ALL THE CHARACTERS LMAOOO!! all the routes are great and the full voice acting has me scream. a lot. also they have A LOT of post stories that are released internationally so it makes me love the characters (saint-germain) even more. i believe this is the game that actually made me love the yandere. so i gotta give kudos to that. the canon route is really lovable! the stories can be a mix of cute and angst so its a wild ride when i played it ;w;b 9/10

honestly one of my fav and long-running mobile otome game!! the game is f2p but you need to be veeery patient to finish one route (in my case i sometimes am patient. other times im not). partially voiced. the best thing about this game is THERE IS A LOT OF CHOICES LMAOO n youre not obligated to do a route of a character youre not too keen. the characters are both lovable and stupid. the mc has 1 braincell and shes using it to helps these hot morons. sugitan is there. bfkdjbfdkj also the stories are smutty and its so goood i remembered screaming a lot. their stories range from funny to sad to angsty to romantic its a roller coaster ride. 9/10

i LOVE all the characters. i LOVE all the routes. i even love the villain of this series. which is why it gets number 2 in my book. the stories can get intense but when the cute romantic funny parts hit it hits you off guard and it just makes u laugh or scream or cry or all in 1. im a big kaji yuki fan so to finally get to play a game where kaji yukis character is in it just earns this game a top spot in my heart. a very special spot too considering his character is my fav character and route hehehhe! its sequel is coming out (n im getting it tmrrw eyy). love it so much! and the canon character is easily my 2nd fav character too! 10/10

this game easily ruined my sleep schedule. at one point my body automatically woke up at 3 am at the single sound of a beep EVERY TIME. just to text some fictional characters. i even got out of class once to respond to jumins call. i hate this game. the games gameplay is so unique and fun and all the characters are very VERY lovable. i love all the characters and their routes. while the voice acting happens during certain cgs (full voice in all scenes in vs and saerans routes) it redeems itself with the amazing voice calls. i laughed A LOT whole playing this game. its absolutely amazing. did you know that i bawled in saerans route? bawled? as in cried in absolute anguish and sobbed nonstop? and stared at the blank screen????????? once in front of my own mother and again alone in the darkness of my own room? my heart was shattered in pieces and it literally felt as if the love of my life is gone for good. 11/10

Okay, but like, we do all know and comprehend that people process things like grief, trauma, anger -- hell, even happiness -- in different ways and no one way is inherently correct or incorrect... right?

(aka. I had a lot of time with not much else to do this morning, and between Yonhi’s comment in-manga about her child and the various takes I’ve seen floating around in fandom, something in me broke :D)

So, let’s use me as an example, since I have it on good authority that the way I process and express emotions/thoughts/etc. is completely alien to most people :D 

I have never cried from sadness. Not even as a kid. The only time I ever cry, really, is when I'm extremely angry. It is the way my body and brain allow me to vent my frustration in a way that, I suppose, is  healthier than, say, breaking people things, even if it is an infuriating trait because people always tend to misinterpret why I'm crying or don't take my anger as seriously due to it. But sadness, loss, etc.? Never. Not when my childhood pets died, even though I was completely heartbroken. Not when my grandfather died, or my grandmother, or a college friend. I am completely unaffected -- at least in conventional terms -- at funerals. It's one of the reasons I prefer not to attend, because I always get confronted about not being outwardly "sad enough" and “don’t you feel anything???” 

Likewise, traumatic moments or conflict/problems? My brain goes into Pragmatist Mode. Instead of spending time being shocked/sad/etc. -- which I consider a waste of energy at the time and something that is far better tucked away to engage in later (and in private) -- I focus on "how can I make this situation better." Like, what actions can I take, how can I plan ahead, etc. For me, being proactive and turning to problem solving is how I process grief, trauma, etc. It makes me feel better, to be doing something. 

My way of experiencing happiness is even stranger -- I do my utmost to never, ever let it show that I’m happy. Sure, I’ll laugh out loud if something’s funny, etc., but if I’m feeling contentment or joy, I don’t express it; not on my face, and not verbally either. The happier I am, the more I clamp down on my emoting. Happiness to me is something very private and, in my own experience, very short-lived; as such, I don’t like expressing/sharing that information with others, especially since I’ve learned that people will use that information against you to hurt you.

Funnily enough, my own mother has never understood any of this, even after I have explained it to her as best I can over the years. She always asks what's wrong with me, how can I be this way, and how can I possibly be her child. I'm 32; she still doesn't know me at all. First time she unironically called me a psychopath (I believe it was because I didn’t want to smile at someone/something? I don’t really remember my childhood lol), I was in my early teens?

None of this is right, and none of this is wrong. It just is. It’s just how I am. My experience is not a universal experience, just like other people’s experiences aren’t universal either. People are complicated and everyone is different. All one needs to do is to accept and respect that. Throwing out “psycho” or “sociopath” whenever someone -- real or fictional -- doesn’t fit the perceived norm serves... what, exactly??

So. 

Is it realistic for a kid to respond to his father's death the way Soo Won did, and is it possible for his mother to be thinking he's dispassionate simply because she doesn't understand him? Hell yes. Even more so for Soo Won specifically, when he's in a certain political position (yes, even as a kid) and has certain expectations and obligations weighing on him.

And honestly, the response of both Yonhi and the majority of the fandom and scanalators who insist on peppering the material with their own takes is very much in line -- disappointingly so, actually -- with my own experience of how people will treat you if they think you aren't processing/experiencing things in an approved, “normal” fashion.

EDIT: Oh, and might as well talk about this here too -- Soo Won is absolutely 100% valid in separating Yona from Il. Two different people, two different issues, no matter what relation they might share. I will never understand why people insist on making everything a giant, conglomerate, emotional mess. Also, not prioritizing Yona? That’s the mark of a good ruler; he can see the bigger picture, and isn’t giving into any selfishness that would compromise the welfare of the kingdom. Maybe not a good thing in his personal relations, but definitely the way to go leadership-wise.

So let’s talk Banana Split. 

I did this mini review thing with Dylan’s last film (if you’re into crazy hot crazy boys - check out my review here) - and I’m not going to get super detailed into Banana Split as I did with that one - but needless to say, this will be a video and picture heavy review - because look at him. *looks down*

Before I get into the nitty gritty - I just have to say - THIS FILM WAS ABSOLUTELY DELIGHTFUL. I adored it - and probably not for the reason you think I would ... it’s true that the very very best time to be a Dylan fangirl was late 2017 and that December was when Dylan packed up Magnus and headed up to Syracuse to film with Hanna and Liana- but it’s not just about his pretty hair and his pretty face and his pretty hands. It’s not. I promise. 

Let’s talk about the good of Nick and April’s relationship. They were sweet high school sweethearts. They were each other’s firsts. They had literally nothing in common - save a friendship with Ben (who is absolutely hilarious) - and that built up common ground of growing up together, same town, same school, same life. It’s actually addressed in the first real scene in the movie - other than those things - they really don’t have anything in common. 

But they’re happy - for two years. 

Sharing baths with your high school boyfriend - but talking about Dumbledore and horcruxes? This is the epitome of hilariousness. It was part of a montage meant to show us their tender moments. I mean, they dated for two years. Nothing Nick has with Clara could compare to two years of this kind of build-up, right? 

Continuing with that montage - I will never look and lemurs and pandas the same way. Honestly - while Nick is rutting away - telling her she’s his lemur? I nearly DIED of laughter. But I mean, get it. Kink same not kink shame. 

And let’s take a brief segue to talk about April’s sister Agnes. SHE has a crush on Nick too (of course she does) - and she is HILARIOUS. Whether she’s telling her sister to suck my dick/kiss my ass (their poor mother eventually has to lay down the law about keeping their mouths away from their respective genitals) - or she’s feeling up Nick under the table (making him give her mother and his girlfriend THIS expression) - Agnes was a HIGHLIGHT. SO funny. She’s like 11 years old. Poor Nick.

But then they broke up. And it was painful. You see - they were graduating from high school and April got accepted to Boston College. Nick got accepted to UCSB. They didn’t talk about it - and then they both cried and broke up. It was hard to watch. When they discussed it later - it was even harder to watch.

It was HYPOTHETICAL, APRIL! *cough*

Anyway - after the breakup, Nick moved on. Clara was SO clearly a rebound - and he certainly had a good time with her - sex on the beach - sex in a birthday party hat (aside: notice how the women in the sex scenes in this film are covered up? I LOVE that they went that direction. This is not a misogynistic film in ANY way. But I digress.) - They really do seem like they have a good time together - but it was definitely MORE for Clara that it was for Nick. Definitely.

AND we were talking about SprouseHands here on tumblr the other day - I offer this picture as evidence that it obviously runs in the family. YAY genetics. You know what they say about big hands! (... big gloves ha ha ha).

ANYWAY - unfortunately - April and Clara kinda accidentally meet at a party - and find out that they actually have a TON in common and instead of hating each other, they become best friends - on the sly without telling Nick.

And without letting mutual friend Ben tell Nick either. Which is actually kind of a big thing - because Ben is Nick’s bestie - and he hates lying to his friend. But it’s also hilarious - so roll with it. (in the below scene right after this, the girls take their birth control pills together... because they both have alarms to remind them and they are completely bonkers. lol).

They even have secret code names on their phone (George Clooney and Brad Pitt respectively) and it ALL comes to a head when Nick realizes that he misses April - thinks about her all the time - and breaks up with Clara when he thinks that April is going home from a party with Ben (she does and there is weird bushes kissing but they both agree it was weird and agree to never do it again). 

ANYWAY - then the crap hits the fan and Clara goes all #friendsoff with April - throwing a slushee at her head that misses and hits her boobs - and they’re both miserable - and they both want their best friend back. 

It’s funny because neither is really that miserable about Nick. 

His storyline concludes with him telling off April for being the bad guy in this whole thing (she was) - and him making up with his best friend (after sucker punching him). Nick was the sexy lamp in this story - and there is no way around that. It’s a delicious departure from most films like this. 

ANYWAY - the crux of the film is that April and Clara are best friends. And they eventually make up - and it’s adorable and sweet and I LOVED it. The scene below is literally me and MotherMaple btw - I love her but I don’t want to bang her. Ha ha ha.

So yes. Was this a great movie? It TOTALLY was. I will watch it again and again. It was delightful and funny and heartwarming (as heartwarming as you can get when the mains continually make poor decisions, get drunk a lot, get high a lot, and make more poor decisions. 

But I love it for not being a typical romancey movie. Like I said - no one gets Nick at the end (except for Ben - who is an awesome and funny friend) which is a good thing because he deserves to meet a great girl at UCSB who also loves Carly Rae Jepson (unironically) - and the girls are happy to have their long-distance best friendship and that’s awesome too.

I definitely recommend.

favorite thing about them: ooh now i get to be Extra? hell yes! okay here we go: Leon Kuwata’s presence in the story of Danganronpa is ultimately small, but his role creates massive shock waves through the story. He is the first to kill (albeit with no intent other than self-defense), and the first to be caught... and, by extension, the first student to be executed (sucks to be you, Jin Kirigiri). Though he’s already gone by the end of chapter one, we’ve witnessed his entire “life cycle”: reaction to the killing game, murder, desperate breakdown, and one of the most brutal executions in the franchise. He’s an extremely important character and one the story would not be the same without... also he’s a total cutie <3

least favorite thing about them: the fact that we see so little of him means a lot of his character goes unexplored, and i think that’s a great disservice. he’s ultimately  an interesting soul but because of his presence in the story, he is often reduced to “i killed someone ‘cuz i wanted some tail” and that’s just sad. he’s much more than that!! i swear!! ...i swear kodaka didn’t write him to be disposable!!!!! please!!!!!!!
