irving bailiff is such a character of all time. marcus aurelius reader that thinks self-induced insomnia through caffeine and motorhead tapes is an effective tool to carry out an inside job. so certain that his stoic discipline will carry his innie through. he uses surrealist automatism (not even muscle memory. guy bets on the subconscious and dozing off.) because his art guy patternfinding ass thinks it's the best way to reach his severed self because he is the kind of guy to excise himself in two and have opinions about which things of his are fixed points in the self.

meanwhile irving b. is falling asleep on the job he was created to do and having nightmares about black goo that he doesn't even know is oil paint because his body is sleeping two hours a night, getting literally tortured because of it, feeling all-encompassing emotion about corporate propaganda and developing a crush the man who curates them. which, in a way, also carries him towards an understanding of his own disposability and the kind of love that can't be sold back to you in an allegory.

it’s the way people hate criston for calling rhaenyra a “cunt” once (not good, but this man’s situation was unique and he otherwise respects women from what we have seen), and simultaneously think daemon is a feminist (he repeatedly called rhea “a bronze bitch”, murdered her in cold blood, groomed his niece, choked his pregnant niece, and fucked her immediately after the death of his second wife). criston’s loyalty and dedication to alicent has been all but unwavering both seasons, and daemon has spent the entirety of season two plotting against his wife (aka wife number three, aka the niece he groomed), and it took him, what, eight episodes to stand by her again? people really hate criston just because he was hurt about being used and his position being put in jeopardy (he said no. it doesn’t matter if we know that rhaenyra would ever tell anyone that they’ve slept together, he doesn’t know that). he has been loyal to alicent, loyal to her children (does daemon even remember his daughters’ names), loyal to their cause, while daemon seized the opportunity for power the first chance he got like a hungry dog. truly pathetic.

I rewatched Guns For Hire tonight and I forgot how funny the droid chase on Plazir-15 is.

These poor people are just enjoying their meals in a fancy restaurant and suddenly a Mandalorian in the middle of an intense chase sprints in...

(I love the way Din holds out his hand apologetically to them... in a world of boys he's a gentleman.)

Then said Mandalorian launches himself through a window to catch the droid...

No hesitation, just straight away launches himself through a window.

(And slides along on the floor in a thrilling sequel to #weeeeeeee)

I love knowing that throughout the galaxy there are probably so many people with anecdotes about this one shiny Mandalorian who arrives on planets, causes a ruckus and then leaves without elaborating. Din is truly insane and a nuisance [affectionate] and his hatred for droids is probably infamous at this point.

I truly have no patience for "criticizing a creative choice is disrespectful" as a statement. If you can't tell the difference between sending hate or harassing creators/fans, vs. saying "I didn't like this and here's why" you are an idiot. And on the flip side if you're a creator and someone says "I didn't like this" without any sort of personal attacks or hate involved, simply on the basis of critique and personal preference, and that makes you feel bad enough to stop creating then maybe you should step back and either get offline or make room for someone who has an actual creative vision that isn't "I want everyone to like me."
