on friday night, my buddy invited me to hang out on his show for a bit. mostly to hang out but also cause a production assistant dipped and he needed a hand. it was like old times, taking down tents together, eating catering while sitting in the back of a box truck. the night air was crisp and i could feel it in my chest and the stars were beautiful. talked to a few people i failed to keep in touch with but it didn't matter, everything was chill.

it really hit hard how much i miss the film industry. i don't know if i want to leave my job to go back, cause it's steady and comfortable and there is a lot about film that i don't like, too. like the 15 hour shifts and being on my feet all day in all types of weather. and i'd be starting at the bottom of the ladder again pretty much. idk man, maybe i'll go back when i'm moving and have to leave my job anyway. and maybe try to work in another department where the hours aren't as shit. idk, i know i'll go back eventually it's just about when i pull that trigger i guess. it's just been on my mind a lot

i think i've gathered enough veneer plywood off-cuts from client projects for the cabinet carcass. then i just have to buy some solid wood for the top and door. and hardware. the knob will be metal with black cords to look like his bolo. then the door panel will have diamonds cut out and acrylic (i don't wanna buy glass and i have tons of acrylic) put in to resemble the windows of his barn. final design on that is pending, though.

i'll lasercut the prolethean design into the top of the cabinet and paint it black. or silver like his belt buckle, idk yet. i'm also thinking of buying some tiles that are the same colour as the ones on the walls of his clinic. put some felt pads on the bottom and use them for coasters. i'm gonna stick all my diet soda in the cabinet. oh and i also don't know what i'm gonna do for the legs yet... but it's coming together slowly and hopefully it won't look wack

had an awful dream that pob joined tumblr and i excitedly clicked on his blog and it was just typical stuff you see from the middle-aged men on here, like porn and sam elliott memes and adding bizarre captions to people's posts in all caps then i blocked him and woke myself up going "no, no, no!"
