So my full name is Emory, but most people call me Em because it’s easier to relate to my deadname and it’s the nickname I use most. But sometimes is it too much to ask for someone to come up with a different one? Like Mory is right there and no one uses it, everyone just defaults to Em even if I don’t tell them too.

Maybe I should start giving people a nickname sheet. Can anyone else come up with some cool nicknames too?

Hello folks, I have have a question for all writers. How on earth do you write neurotypical people???? because like, there are resources on autistic and neurodivergent people but how do you write neurotypical people????

Someone please help, I don't want all my characters to be autistic.

How to procrastinate harder than ever, put off writing your book to write fanfiction and then put off that by writing a different fanfiction until your bored of that on to start planning your next book.

The trouble about being a creative person, is that you end up with more mediums of art than you can keep up with. I have ideas for more books, poems, drawings etc than I can realistically do at any one time that I jump between projects like hyperactive squirrel.

Not to mention the fact that I can mix mediums too, making more work for myself.

Writing my book when I realise how british the narrator sounds. He is supposed to be but-

Half way through writing the second to last chapter and then I remember those three crew members I haven't mentioned since two chapters ago.

Now I could go back and put them in, ooooorrrrr I could just say they slept through the end of the book and then wake up to being stranded on a giant turtle.

How be safe from scams

Hello folks, in light of recent events (e.g. I think I was scammed), I have decided to make a post reminding people about keeping your money safe.

Here is a list of things you should consider when taking commissions online.

when it comes time for payment, always go through channels you trust and have used or tested previously.

ask your client for evidence that they have paid you and run it through a photoshop scanner just in case.

Check your client's public profile for anything suspicious before following instructions that may take advantage of you.

always have a trusted adult help with the payment process if you are new to it.

never follow instructions from an email you are not sure about.

follow your gut feelings, if you think something is wrong, it usually is.

and finally, take your own safety seriously and before others, even if your client says you're a bad person for it.

Anyway, I think I am going to be a lot more careful accepting commissions from now on.

Attention all artists on Tumblr!

Some of you might've gotten a comment on a post of yours asking if you do commissions and to dm them if you do take commissions.

Do not DM them they are most likely gonna scam you

The way this scam works is that they will overcharge you and ask for over the payment or something bad will happen to them, they are alwaya in a rush.

If you pay them your bank account will bounce, they will keep asking for more until your account is drained and the scammers have your bank details.

The best you can do is to not interact with them or block them.

I would not trust some random person in your comments asking if you do commissions
