It was a crisp and windy night, though you wouldn't feel the effects of the cold right away. Your eagerness for the evening's activities would fill you with enough warmth for a short while, as would the enjoyable company of your best friend, Fives.

You were surrounded by many friends and clones, a group of you who tried as often as possible to celebrate the year's holidays together. This year, not everyone would be on planet when Christmas Day came around, but you'd all managed to find a night earlier in the month to come together and exchange gifts, share good food, and, as you were about to do now, walk around the neighborhoods to admire the lights.

And while you loved all your friends dearly, it was Fives who you'd been most eager to see. You felt closest to him the most. You seemed to understand each other so well, falling into step right where you'd last left off, as if he hadn't been gone for the past several months. As if there hadn't been whispers that his unit had fallen under attack and may not be coming home this time, leaving you numb with worry. As if you hadn't realized you were in love with him when you heard he would come back after all, safe and sound.

"What the hell is that?" he laughed beside you as you passed by a house that seemed to be quite normal.

"What's what?" You gazed around but could only see the standard set up of dazzling lights and festive lawn ornaments.

Fives wrapped an arm around your shoulders and pointed to two reindeer decorations... that were stacked rather suggestively on top of one another. "That."

You could only momentarily process how close he was, how warm you felt being held like that, before you fell into sync with his laughter. It was a pretty funny thing to come across, especially as Fives began to muse whether the owners of the house set it up that way on purpose or if they were pranked. Either scenario was humorous. He then insisted on taking a photo of you with the indecent display in the background.

Though your laughter over the reindeer had warmed you up, the moment you two spent over it caused you to fall behind the rest of the group. You could no longer see them on the street, nor could you hear their lively sounds of chatter.

"They must have turned that corner up there," Fives said as you two started walking again. He was no longer holding you but was walking alongside you a little closer than before. Or, at least that's what it felt like. Maybe you were just imagining it.

There was a little bit of silence as you passed by the next brightly lit house and admired it. But Fives wasn't one to keep quiet for too long.

"So, what do you want for Christmas?" he asked.

You forced your gaze away from the pretty lights to look at him, noting a flush in his cheeks but deciding it must be the wind.

"What do you mean?"

He chuckled a little. "What do you mean? It's a simple question. What's on your wishlist this year?"

"I just thought... never mind," you shrugged, having thought he wanted to know what to get you, which of course was silly since your group was doing a white elephant exchange this year. "Um, I don't know. There really isn't anything I want, to be honest."

Fives knocked his shoulder into yours, accompanied by a dramatic gasp. "You don't want aaaa-nything? Impossible."

You just smiled and shook your head. "Yeah, not really."

"So you're good? You're perfectly content? Everything in your life is amazing and you're in need of nothing more?"

Of course the answer to his questions was a lot more complicated than the simple "Yep" you responded with. You were content in this moment, walking alongside your best friend, enjoying the festivities of the season in his company. But before this moment, you hadn't really been happy. You'd been worried sick by his absence, impatient to see him again, doubting that he'd be as thrilled to see you. You'd been nothing short of lovesick and you had no idea how to admit such a thing to him now.

"I don't buy it," he said, bumping playfully against you again. "There has to be something."

You finally came up to the corner you assumed your friends had turned down. You took it without thought, knowing it would loop back around to your friend's house. A house that was starting to sound really appealing given that a chill was settling back in.

"Clothes?" Fives asked.

"Huh?"

"Like a nice scarf or a dress or something?" Oh, you realized he was still trying to figure out your Christmas wish list. "Or fuzzy socks?"

"I have plenty of fuzzy socks," you said. And with that thought, you realized your toes were getting rather cold, despite being wrapped in thick socks and boots. That then led to you recognize just how cold you were all over: your nose, your hands, your knees....

"Okay, then how about jewelry? Girls always like jewelry, right?"

You rolled your eyes as you dug your hands deeper into your pockets, searching for warmth. "I don't really need any more jewelry."

You weren't paying much attention to the lights anymore, instead picking up the pace so you could get back to the warmth of your friend's house sooner. Fives didn't seem to care about the lights, either. He was still trying to figure out your supposed Christmas wishlist.

"What about a box of chocolates?"

"I buy enough chocolate as it is."

"A candle?"

"Pretty sure half of the white elephant gifts in there are candles."

"Hm... You like games right?"

"I have enough games."

"Nonsense, you can never have too many games."

"Well, when your friends aren't around to play them with you, you can."

Fives was silent. You looked over to find he was watching you with a sort of sadness in his eyes. No, not sadness... guilt.

"I'm sorry," he said after a beat. "I wish I was around more..."

"No, no," you were quick to jump in, not wanting him to feel that way at all. "It's fine. It is what it is. We all know that."

Fives nodded but didn't seem convinced. He looked away, stared straight ahead, as you passed by the last house and arrived at your friend's. The change of course up to the porch seemed to snap him out of his mindlessness and bring him back into better spirits.

"A puppy!" he declared as you approached the door. Both of you were stomping your shoes against the wood of the porch to dislodge any dirt you'd picked up along the way. "No one in the entire galaxy could say no to a puppy."

You huffed out a laugh of defeat. "Okay, sure, I'll take a puppy for Christmas."

He laughed with you as you opened the front door. You expected a wall of warmth to hit you, accompanied by smells of food and chatter of friends. Instead you were met with dim lights, silence, and a cold that almost rivaled the frigid air you'd just walked in from.

"What the..." Fives joined your confusion in the entry hall, and then snapped his fingers as he realized something. "Kix said he knew someone in this neighborhood. They all must have gone there. We beat them back."

You vaguely recalled passing by a house with loud voices from inside, surely including voices from your friends, but you were too busy trying to warm your hands now to dwell on it further. Fives placed a gentle hand on your back as he scooted past you and down the hall toward the thermostat. He messed with it a bit as you shuffled into the little den off the entry. You were reluctant to remove your coat and scarf when it was still so cold.

"Hm," Fives frowned, joining you a few moments later. He flicked on a lamp on the table beside you. "Heat's not coming on. Something's broken."

"Can you fix it?" You tried not to let your teeth chatter.

"Yeah..." he trailed off and you followed his gaze to the fireplace on the opposite end of the room. His lips quirked, a sign he was going to get up to something. "Or... we could have ourselves a cozy little fire instead!"

He shuffled around the sofa and started investigating the decorations on top of the mantle.

"What?" you asked as you stepped around the sofa as well.

"Ah ha!" He opened up what had looked to be merely a decoration of an old fashioned truck, but apparently doubled as storage for some matches. In no time, Fives had started a humble fire amongst the wood in the fireplace and was stepping back toward you.

"Take your coat off, get cozy!" he laughed in delight, sitting down on the sofa and patting the cushion next to him.

You reluctantly shrugged off your coat. You could feel little puffs of warm air from the fire but the room overall was still too cold to be comfortable. You let out an involuntary shiver as you joined Fives on the sofa.

"Uh oh," he teased, scooting closer. "Need to cuddle for warmth?"

You knew his offer was in jest, but you couldn't resist the thought, especially when your cheeks were already heating at an alarming rate just by sitting this close. Fuck it, you decided, and promptly slid your arms around his middle and pulled him close.

"Well okay then," he laughed in amusement, wrapping his own arms around you in return. He wasn't angry, which you took as encouragement and buried your frozen nose into the crook of his neck. You felt one of his hands come up to rest on the back of your head, keeping you in place for a wonderful, peaceful moment.

You warmed up fairly quickly, though your fingers still felt numb. Without thinking, you shifted a bit and slid your hands underneath Fives' shirt, seeking the warmth of his skin. His muscles tensed in response.

"Whoa there," he chuckled lowly. "Keep doing that and you'll end up on the naughty list."

The heat from the blush on your cheeks immediately shot through the rest of your body. You were mortified. Fives was your friend, what were you doing?

You detached yourself quickly and mumbled an apology. He was still laughing a bit so you joined in nervously, but not daring to meet his eyes. Not when you were this flustered. He relaxed back onto the sofa and draped an arm along the backside, just beside your head.

"So, um, what do you want for Christmas?" you asked, trying to get past your awkwardness and back to the easygoing state of your friendship, despite the ache deep within your chest that yearned for something more.

"Me? Oh, nothing much."

Now you looked over at him, balking. "Fives!"

"What?" he grinned.

You swatted at him. "You just gave me shit for not wanting anything!"

"I said I didn't want much, not that I didn't want anything at all."

You huffed. "Okay, then what is this 'nothing much' that you want?"

His smile didn't completely disappear, just settled into something a little softer, more pensive. He cocked his head a bit as he looked at you, considering what to say.

"Would you be mad if I said that all I want for Christmas is you?"

You blinked at first, unable to come up with an other reaction. How could you? How could you process such a confession? Was it even a confession? Or was he just being cheeky?

You forced yourself to clear your throat. "Mad? Confused is more like it."

"Confused?" He smirked for only a second before settling back into that strange and soft look. "What's so confusing?"

"Uh... I mean..." you stammered through an awkward laugh. "What does that even mean? You want me... to do something? To... to... see me? You're seeing me right now..."

Your skin was still alight with a fire that seemed to burn brighter than the one in the fireplace. You were so flustered, and Fives was getting a real kick out of it.

"Calm down, cyare," he laughed, scooting a little closer and taking your hands into his. "I want you, as in, I want to... you know.. be with you."

He was starting to get a little shy himself, though you weren't really paying attention. Your heart was threatening to beat its way out of your chest, so you instead focused on the feeling of Fives' hands wrapped around yours. So warm, so firm. They grounded you just enough for his words to sink in. He wanted to be with you.

Now you felt like you were floating. That nasty knot that had settled into the pit of your stomach, back when you'd thought he wasn't coming home, was finally coming undone. Freeing you from its weight. Letting you soar with hope for a different kind of future with your best friend.

When you finally brought your eyes back up to meet Fives', you could finally see the blush in his own cheeks, the way his eyes searched yours for validation. He'd made himself vulnerable in a way he'd only ever been a handful of times with you. Like when he'd confessed how frustrated he was about the war, how angry it made him sometimes to think about it, how he secretly held dreams of one day escaping and living a normal life somewhere. You thought back to those conversations now, viewing them in a different light. You'd always wondered what his idea of normal was, if it included anyone else... anyone like you. And now you were starting to get an idea that it did.

"I'm sorry if this is sudden," he said quickly and quietly, filling in the silence you didn't mean to leave. "It's just... you know this last mission was... well, it didn't go very well. And it made me reevaluate my life. What I really want. And honestly, I couldn't stop thinking about you."

He gave a bashful smile and you returned it, easing his nerves just a little.

"I was really worried about you," you confessed, giving his hands a reassuring squeeze. "I didn't just want you to come back, I wanted you to come back to me. And I'm so glad you want the same."

You both laughed once more, though more out of relief than nervousness, and ended by resting your foreheads against each other. Fives then let go of your hands so he could bring his arms back around you and pull you close again. You let yourself rest against him with a contented sigh... and then bolted right back up as a thought occurred to you.

"Wait, you said you want me for Christmas?"

"Yeah..." Fives' eyes were wide with alarm.

"Just for Christmas? And that's it?"

The tension immediately left his shoulders as he realized what you were doing. He gave you a look and you used all your willpower to hold back your amusement.

"So when Christmas is all over, you'll be done with me?" you pushed on with the bit. "You won't want me anymore?"

"Ugh, cyare, please," Fives rolled his eyes and tried wrapping his arms around you again.

"I just want to be clear about this." Your voice was breaking, as was his own act to be annoyed. The two of you could never hold it together for very long.

"Of course I'll want you after Christmas is over," he said through a chuckle. "I'll want you for Valentine's and for your birthday and all the solstices..."

"So you only want me on holidays?"

"You're killing me here, you know," he grumbled into your shoulder.

You would've continued with your teasing, but just then the front door opened behind you, letting in your missing friends. Even if you and Fives had tried to act innocent, you wouldn't have been quick enough. Whatever they'd been talking about on their way in immediately changed into a chorus of gasps and cheers.

"Well it's about time!"

"Oh my god!"

"Finally!"

"I knew it!"

You snuggled closer to Fives, in part to hide your embarrassment, but also to escape the wisp of cold air your friends had let in with them. Fives laughed along with the commotion while holding you, and it felt like the most natural thing, being in his arms like this.

"For the record," he later whispered into your ear, when things had died down with your friends enough, "I want you every day for the rest of my life. If you'll have me."

You smiled into his chest and held him closer.

"Of course. You're all I want, too."

Hi! Hello! Hey!

I've been going through A Time and have chosen to cope by going back to the specific vibes of 2016 to 2018. That happens to include an incredible resurgence in my love for MCU fanfic, the community around it and all the love that goes into them. I've felt a bit distant from here for a while, but I still see so many of my old friends writing, ones who want to get back into it, and a whole lot of new writers I am dying to meet.

I've floated this idea vaguely on my blog and people seem to be interested so I figured it was worth a shot!

Tumblr seems to be sliding in a downward spiral, and it feels like the start of the end of a fandoming era for me. I've been through it before; platforms are born then die, and life fandom finds a way. I'm just not looking forward to floundering for a bit, and dreading what the next hub will look like.

AO3 isn't really a place geared or meant for the same thing, and that's fine. My only fandom-related activity took place on AO3 only for a few years between my leaving LJ and joining Tumblr, and I lived ;-) But during that time, I was my own little island in fandom. Reading, leaving a few comments, not being super active. It's only when I found a community again that I was back to being really active in fandom once more.

And it's not that I actually use Tumblr to post about myself, but I do use it to read and reblog cool things - art, gifsets, science stuff, discovering new fandoms, and the like. I'm not sure where else I could find my people, with sameish purposes. The other sites I've tried didn't fill that niche in a way that suited me, in part because of how they look and work, in part because of who and what is(n't) there.

I have DW & PF accounts just to be safe, but I'm not very fond of group chats Discord-style - and without Tumblr, IDK how I'd even hear of new communities where I might pop in once in a while, loins girdled and everything. The micro-blogging platforms are not what I'm looking for either. Sure, I can follow a few DW comms and blogs; I already occasionally do and I will be more consistent about it if I must.

But one of my greatest fear is that the next platform will be phone-based, app-only, or some such BS - and that is something I just won't be able to deal with. Phones are tiny, it's uncomfortable to write anything, I don't like touch screen and much, much prefer a proper keyboard and a mouse (copy-pasting on a screen? (x_x) << it me), art/pics are too small to properly appreciate, a phone isn't comfy to hold for a long time for me, and the app system means you have no control over anything as a user… and that anything there must be Apple Approved, dick-free, blood-free, and tasteless. And I say this as someone who's pretty much uninterested in sex IRL or in my entertainment ;-) I still support and want the tits, the gore, the everything, and as long as I have the tools to curate - oh, wait. Curate things myself? That's not something that's popular these days, is it? It's not going to generate money, if I'm happy ;-)

So… I guess I'll play some more on Neocities, and see if anyone wants to have webrings again? (it would be fun and nostalgic, but not really viable on a large scale; people who haven't known those would just laugh and point and go on the InstaTok of the time).

So here is my little cane-waving rant of the day! I know things evolve and change and that in ten years I'll be rolling my eyes at my moping. It's only that I feel tired of moving from one shitty platform to another, of fearing I won't adapt (or more accurately won't want to adapt given the annoyance/benefit ratio) to whichever new place things will move in a few years. It's saying goodbye to a former home, moving, and hoping you'll make another home elsewhere kind of sniffles today!

We already know the next platform. It has been Discord for a few years now.

If you want the one after Discord, I think you're looking at waiting things out for quite a few years (or until Discord makes a major misstep as a company).

True, real time chat is not for everyone, but small discords with well-chosen channels can operate more asynchronously. Just like a lot of people who hated the look of Tumblr early on eventually capitulated, a lot of chat haters have jumped ship to Discord already.

Realistically, 90% of fandom always goes where the action is, no matter how much they claim the features make that space impossible, and 10% disappears.

We might get the 10% back on the next platform or they might leave fandom for good. There were LJ-haters who resurfaced post LJ era.

But as for where you'll find out where people are... probably AO3 author's notes.

[NEWST OC] Luminos Lunar Eclipse: My DCAsona/OC. They were salvaged from the PizzaPlex and taken to a different location. They sun code had been removed and the Eclipse and Moon one fused. Creating Luminos.

Marionette Moon: An advanced Moon/Puppet Model that is a being that likes to create things and has a messed up past

Wonder! Eclipse/Penumbra: A version of Eclipse that technically won. They are fusion of what used to be Sun and Moon, now formally known as Helios and Lunaris.

Titan Moon: My DCA OC who was unfortunately discarded by Fazbear and now has trust issues and is incredibly envious of Sun and Moon (but his luck may change after meeting the individuals @stardusttheaters )

My iteration of Eclipse: FNAF SB DCA OC who is my take on Canon Eclipse. He’s a real sweetheart who simply loves his job and wants to help whoever he can (He’s in a relationship with his Sun and Moon)

Burning Eclipse: My version of Black Hole/Total Eclipse, who is a living code of the old Daycare Attendant. He isn’t evil just really eccentric due to being alone for a very long time

Eviscerate and The Terror Twins: Transformers OCs inspired by Killcode and Bloodmoon. Eviscerate is just a tired parent trying find his kids again and Butcher and Scythe are chaotic Energon siphoning urchins

DCA! Spring Bonnie: She assists Sun & Moon in the daycare, doing all she can to help them out. But she’s unfortunately got a little secret.

Volatile Sans: He’s a variant of Dust who’s pretty unpredictable at times and kills just for EXP. Only problem is that he can’t kill Papyrus’s…he’s tried many times and can’t do it

Callisto: Callisto is a version of Sun who lost her Moon to Vanny because their Moon was digging too much and got caught. So Callisto enacts her revenge for her partner but ends up getting trapped in a pit full of Disassemble Bots and had fought her way out.

(Newer) Camomile the Medic Sun: As the name implies Camomile is a repurposed Sun model who programmed to tend to humans and sometimes animatronics. She’s very grumpy but she cares.

(Newest) Rune: Rune is another Transformers OC inspired off of a TSAMS character, they happen to be inspired off Ruin.

poomphuripan - the bl sideblog that i started just because my main got deactivated for a bit but i guess for now, it's mostly uppoom and msi-focused. in december, it'll probably be torjj and spare me your mercy-focused. i think i'll probably just be using these for the ql series i have a crazy hyperfixation about.

huiyanan - a pentagon yanan/hui focus sideblog

coryjeacoma - my musical theatre sideblog for random audio bootlegs and sometimes musical gifs

ryuvachirawich - my unused (mostly lakorn) gifs blog for extra gifs i make but that doesn't make it into any main or sideblogs. at first i was trying to keep this sideblog lowkey but then i needed to tag the gifs w my gif tag anyway so i could search for them so disclosing is fine 🤣

2014... what do you mean it's been a decade since i started using tumblr.... time isn't real

i tried but i've given up on queue-ing in general so i don't. my tumblr is constantly in two modes: super active or going months without a single post lmaoooo.

5. why did you start your blog in the first place?

i wanted to be where all the gifmakers are but i have too much interests so this shall remains a multi-fandom blog or more like a "whatever media claire is consuming atm" blog

6. why did you choose your icon/pfp?

dirk gently is the single most perfect holistic detective in existence. sometimes i'm too attached to my url and my icon, i don't think i can ever change them. headers i can but i haven't changed my url/icon for 3-4 years i think.

7. why did you choose your header?

i feel you linger in the air is THAT series for me. dethroned almost every other thai series on my all time fave list (i say almost because bad genius series is still holding its crown well)

lana @sherrymagic whenever you see me reblogging lana's joe sets every week, you'll see me gushing about the consistency in her coloring and that's because that's something i'm obsessed with, especially considering my stand-in's grim/dark cinematographic coloring. also i don't know how lana chooses the perfect lines from each eps to do her recap sets because most of the times i can't even choose between which scenes to gif.

eva @alienwlw eva makes the most beautiful lyrics set and is willing to do my most niche requests and i'm always looking forward to seeing her gifs because it's always so warm and grainy and crisp and i'm just like wahhhh *heart eyes emoji* every time

A Refresher on the Weekly Roundup

Apologies for the fact that I am once again a Wordy Bitch and over explainer, but I appreciate anybody who reads all my word vomit.

Some asks I got a while ago reminded me that not everybody has been here since I started the roundup, so here's a quick refresher on what the roundup is, why I do it, and some notes on how things have changed from when I first started.

I believe, and have always believed, that if you want other people to comment on/promote your work, you need to be willing to promote theirs, so I've made it a point since I started in this fandom to reblog all the lukanette content I can find. This blog is not curated; there's no grading rubric, I just reblog everything and let readers judge what they like and don't like. I've also always tried to drive traffic back to the authors rather than to my page, I didn't want anyone to think I was trying to steal their views or anything. There have occasionally been things that I...just didn't feel right about, but that is very, very rare, and I have made it a practice to reblog everyone's work, regardless of any personal beef I may have with them. Unless they have blocked me or forced me to block them (which so far has not happened), in which case I cannot reblog, I go ahead an reblog.

I started the roundup in 2020 (I think). Originally, I had just noticed that things posted to tumblr over the weekend tended to get less notes, so I started doing a Weekend Roundup on Mondays just to shine a light on those fics. I had maybe 400 followers at that point and I figured I could get at least a little boost for those weekend fics. It honestly never occurred to me at the time that anyone would be bothered by having their fics promoted, but someone messaged me upset that I had included their fic, which they published on Monday, because they had been specifically trying to avoid being on it by publishing on Monday. They had their reasons but honestly I felt like those weren't my business, and if they didn't want to be included, that was fine, so now I include a disclaimer that anyone who does not want to be included can message me and let me know and I will comply, no questions asked.

Some people on discord indicated that it would be useful for the roundup to include the entire week of fics, so I started doing a Weekly Roundup instead of the Weekend Roundup. I've been doing the roundup the same way from the beginning, and most of the reblogs on LBSC the same way - the link is always back to the original post and not my reblog of it, and readers are expected to check the tags of the original post. If subject matter has trigger warnings or something that might be controversial/upsetting, I generally put a reminder to check the original tags on the fics. I can see that I don't actually have that statement in my pinned post or the What Is the Roundup Link, so I'll try to remember to add it sometime this week.

I only pull links from and link to tumblr, unless someone sends me a message asking that a link to another platform be included. Content is a bit slow right now but there were quite a lot of links per week in the beginning so I had to set some boundaries to keep myself sane. This is a tumblr blog and it made sense to me to boost other tumblr blogs, and not to try and become some kind of clearing house for content across platforms. I'll happily reblog anybody that does that, but I don't have that kind of time or commitment.

I used to read everything I reblogged. I used to do my best to leave comments, either in the tags or on AO3 or whatever I could do. I regret that I just can't do that right now. I'm not intending to slight anyone by reblogging with only the quickroundup tag, I am just really struggling in general right now and I don't have the emotional bandwidth to immediately comment on everything. I do sometimes go back and comment when I can, but I don't want anyone to be forgotten or left out, so it's easiest for me to reblog immediately whether I can comment or not, so that I don't forget to go back and reblog it later.

I'm familiar with most of the Lukanette authors by now, so when someone I know posts a fic I don't generally have to read it to know that it's Lukanette if it is marked Lukanette. If it's a new author or someone I am not familiar with, I will at least skim through to make sure it is in fact Lukanette endgame. I haven't had any complaints so I don't think I'm accidentally reblogging Lukanette salt in disguise.

There is some grey area in what constitutes endgame; I will for example reblog breakup or character death stories, mutual pining stories, and others where the characters don't necessarily end up together. My personal rule is, if they aren't together, you wish they were. If it feels at the end of the story like "this is the way it should be" then I don't really think of it as Lukanette. If it feels like "this is a tragedy" then yeah, I still consider it Lukanette endgame, even if they technically aren't, and will include it in the roundup. However I do not in any way consider myself the final arbiter of what is or is not Lukanette endgame, you are welcome to define it differently, I'm not going to tag police anyone and I'll probably ignore anyone who tries to tag police me. However I do try to include warnings when things might not fit the strict definition of endgame so people who want to avoid the angst, can.

At the end of the day, I am just trying to spread the most Lukanette content I can to as much of the audience looking for it as I can find, and I'm not going to nitpick what that means or how it gets done too much, because honestly, it's enough to keep up with without making it too confusing. Nobody has to agree with my judgement or my way of doing things, and anyone who wants to do it better/differently/with more rules has my hearty endorsement to do so.

I tried scanning a bit of Sidu's .dsd/V artbook and a couple things from it. Ok so I scanned the cover of Sidu's .dsd/V (White Version) artbook, the back cover, and attempted to scan the Outer Science and Yuukei Yesterday art.

I'll have to edit Kuroha's scan, and I still need to redo the scans on the HaruTaka art. I'm definitely gonna have to edit these later.

Merch that uses this art brightens the colours to make it more clear.

This is my best attempt at upscaling a low quality merch preview image. Though the details get lost in it.

Even though I have the physical book in person, you can hardly make out any of the details of Sidu's Kuroha/Saeru Outer Science illust in her .dsd/V artbook cuz the colours are so dark. It makes it SO hard to scan properly.

It's an artistic choice from Sidu, but it makes both seeing the art and scanning it so hard…

Was talking to mutuals about this and they were like "That must be a nightmare for any scanner 💀💀💀"

I really wish we had her artbooks available digitally to be able to archive the arts properly, but they're only available physically, so I'll have to make do.

I think having some kind of scan will at least be better than none, so I'll try my best to scan the arts and archive them

The book is bigger than my scanner glass area, so I have to scan a single page multiple times to be able to get the scan at different parts of the page.

It's really hard to scan parts that are closer to the book binding cuz it casts a shadow. Due to the book binding, the book can't be laid completely flat.

Scanning has been VERY time consuming for me because I have to scan a single page multiple times and often redo the scan to get rid of dust, re-scan to get the parts where the pages crop off, etc.

I'll be scanning things slowly at my own pace whenever I have free time.

I think I have some ideas on how to remove the print texture, especially on the Kuroha one, so I'll probably ask a mutual for scanlation help later.

Due to me constantly handling the book, my finger prints still got on the book's pages, unfortunately.

I have to scan the book at a REALLY awkward angle.

On pages where the rest of the pages (book's weight) holds it up, it's fine, but otherwise I have to get my yoga mats to prop up the book while it's being scanned (cuz it's bigger than the scanner area), it's just ADKLSDKLKLDSKL

I've been handling the book sm and trying to be as careful as possible.

I noticed I accidentally bent the bottom right corner of the page with Kuroha's illust, thankfully the crease isn't on anything important

I'm the type that gets really concerned over stuff like that, cuz I try to be very careful with my artbooks and art prints, but thankfully it's very minimal.

I bought two copies of Sidu's artbook for this reason. I figured that just in case one gets damaged while scanning, then I'll still have the other one.

The HaruTaka art is going MUCH better in terms of scanning, just as expected.

As for Saeru, he's making me go through the horrors /lh

I’m kind of annoyed at the big posts about Zepotha rn. You guys are gatekeepers and don’t even understand what you’re gatekeeping! Cohesion this and lack of plot that. “Skill issue” “Copycat!—” NO. We must go deeper.

Goncharov was a love letter to tumblr fandom culture. An analysis of the way we collectively talk queer themes into existence.

Tumblr blogs dedicated to queer ships. Intricate metas on the queer themes of a work. Screenshot redraws of romantic moments. Comics that are incredibly horny but still somehow capture the original themes. Prompt fills of what we imagine the story could’ve been had there been another (gayer) way.

So many of these types of posts on tumblr are considered reaches or “making things up” by the greater world. But they are analyses made meaningful through this shared sense of community, this shared experience of queerness in a society that doesn’t think of us or our themes as real. Goncharov being “made up” is a celebration of the way we come together to make the queer themes we want to see in the world, especially the ones the world doesn’t think exists. A way to say, “Of course we’re ‘mAkiNg tHiNgS uP,’ Goncharov is made up,” like it’s some sort of metaphor made literal.

Yes, the Google docs and the Martin Scorsese movie framework are a huge part of what made Goncharov work, but what spread excitement are the Goncharov posts just like the ones I listed above. Goncharov isn’t just what we imagine this fake movie to be, but also the fandom/queer culture we imagined surrounded it, and I’d argue that this culture is just as much of a framework for Goncharov as the Martin Scorsese thing was. Why else have non-canonical gay ships in the movie we made up?

TikTok’s problem is that it doesn’t have the original passion and love for queer analysis to gel it the way Goncharov did. Or really anything to gel it beyond cheap clout chasing. No depth, only virality.

It’s like a cute in joke being turned into loveless corporate marketing. Taking something from its original context to prey upon it, ruining what was good about it in the first place. It feels like when corporations tried to recreate Barbenheimer, except it’s someone trying to create a trend on TikTok to market their song, only for the trend to burn out quickly because everybody’s treating it like a joke instead of committing. By its structure (the reblog system) Tumblr is a place of collaboration and building upon what’s come before. TikTok, on the other hand, favors a personalized algorithm pushing viral content over content creators. It’s about reaching the top of a trend or a sound before it dies off in two weeks.

It just rubs me the wrong way how some people act like Zepotha’s crime is being a shitty copy of Goncharov. This is the Fanfiction website. We love amateurism and “originality” means nothing to us. We should be happy to celebrate the people on there making genuine attempts at TikTok edits of the characters or those TikTok green screen filter reviews of the movie or ‘dressing like Zepotha characters’ vids instead of denigrating Zepotha for being too derivative. There are genuine tiktoks out there that do a great job of committing to the bit and crystallizing what fandom formats on TikTok look like, which is exactly what the Goncharov screenshot redraws, horny comics, and queer metas were on Tumblr.

Welcome to the fan-blog of the Prisma Rangers! What are the Prisma Rangers, you ask? They're a group of magical heroes with the power of Arceus! Yes, I'm serious! I've tried to compile everything I could find about them and the villains they go up against! I tried to bold the important bits for anyone who'd prefer to skim. I know there's a lot here, but it's mostly the basics and some explanations! Please don't let it intimidate you too much, I promise I'm just an anxious little creature who's likely eager to meet you! I just want to make sure you know what you might be getting into ^^

-I am tracking the tag townofcadence! My ooc tag is #tristan rambles

-This is an in-character rp and ask blog for my OCs, with a focus on Artair as my main! Please don't take my OCs designs or adopt them as a muse for yourself, unless you have my explicit permission (though a writing gift would be entirely fine!).

-Reblogging my art is totally fine! You'll probably make my day if you comment on it in the tags. If it's something I don't want reblogged, I'll turn off reblogs or tag it with #do not reblog . Otherwise, feel free to interact with it!

-With RPs, if it's something ongoing with another blog that isn't yours, please don't reblog it! It doesn't bother me, but most rpers can be upset by this, so as a respect to them, I would rather avoid the issue. You can reply to rps in the notes, or send me asks about them! But please do not reblog the rp post itself! If the post is open, however, then feel free to jump in as you want if you are an rper and have a muse!

-My social anxiety is really bad-- if I follow you, I definitely want to interact! But also, I really struggle to initiate conversation. If a person reaches out I'll happily interact with them though; I'm kind of a social-vampire, and feeling invited in helps a lot. On the other hand, once I'm spoken to, I talk a LOT, so I apologize in advance and hope it isn't too overwhelming. Feel free to tell me to tone it down!

-I don't feel comfortable writing with muses that are real people. Faceclaims are fine (not for me personally, but i don't mind rping with someone using them), but rping as the actor/actress or someone else from history themselves is uncomfortable for me because they were a real person. Similarly, I don't want to do rps that revolve around real world events, historical or current.

-I think communication is vital to a hobby like this. If you have a question or issue, please let me know! Also, If I do something insensitive or hurtful, please let me know and I'll try to do better next time.

-If you softblock or hardblock me, that's fine! I will not take offense. I may be a little sad if it happens out of nowhere and i thought we had a rapport, but I will respect the boundary. I will not reach out and I will not chase or confront you in any way. I will delete any of our drafts/asks I have and move on. Your dash is free to curate how you'd like. Please feel free to unfollow or block and make your space the best one for you, and if you're afraid of a reaction for doing so, this is my gentle reminder there won't be any.

-However, to me both soft or hardblocking actions say "I no longer wish to engage" just to varying degrees. So I will not chase you, i will not cross that boundary, and I will not refollow you if i was only softblocked, because I have been shown to be unwanted in your space. Especially if you did not communicate with me beforehand. If you wish to reconnect, you will have to reach out first, because until otherwise shown i will assume that's still what you want. So if you use this as a test of some sort, me not chasing doesn't mean I don't care. It is just me choosing to respect the implications of your decision.

-I am a person who deeply enjoys horror threads and dark themes, so please be aware there will be threads and art/writing containing that on this blog. It can involve things like blood, torture, injury, gore, kidnapping, mutilation or dying and lots in between, so please take care of yourself! I will tag things too!

-Related: this blog does not condone any bigotry, and I refuse to write anything depicting incest or pedophilia.

-Anything potentially triggering I will try to tag. The format for tagging will be ‘#cw *insert trigger here*’. Example being #cw injury. I will try to be consistent! Please feel free to ask me if I need to tag anything!

- I’ve been writing Artair for years, so Artair has a lot of background history that might get alluded to, but not actively explained. If you have questions, feel free to throw them my way and I’ll answer what I can! Additionally, I tend to keep my muse's backstory and abilities hidden, so they can be revealed naturally in threads. But if you want to know more, please hit me up and I can share whatever you'd like to know, or even the whole story! I'm happy to share and it's not a problem to ask, I just think it's fun to reveal things via narrative too.

-I am 25+, and may do mature threads, but sexual threads will not happen here. I'm fine with them, but not on this blog, I have other spaces. Here will get the fade to black treatment.

-I likely am going to be semi-selective in what I rp. I will answer asks and reply to things from anyone, so feel free to send in! But while I want to interact, I also only have so much energy. I have the right to refuse to answer RPs or starters or asks.

-I am also chronically ill in a few different ways, so sometimes I will disappear to recover or not have much energy. I have no problem waiting for replies to rp or messages, and I hope we can be patient with each other as needed to have a fun time. Take your time, and I'll get to you as soon as I'm able, too.

-A given, but No autohitting, godmodding, or metagaming unless discussed! If you want something to happen specifically, talk to me and we can work out why or how.

- I want you to play your muse as you intended, and I'll do the same! Please don't hold your muse back, I as the mun will not take it personally whatever yours may do, and I encourage you to let your muse act as they would in the situation without worry! Mun =/= muse, so I'd rather you play them as authentically as possible. Break up with my muse! Punch them! Flirt with them or follow them around! Be free! I won't hold mine back either; hopefully it'll make for some interesting interactions!

- I will always give at least a paragraphs or two in an rp response but even if you give me several pages, my reply may be more succinct. I'm trying to break the habit of backtracking dialogue in a thread, since it gets confusing really fast. I totally get wanting to respond to everything, but doing so to every talking point ends up with the muses having like six differing conversations at once. So I might skip things I want to respond to, to avoid that, and my replies may be smaller to keep the flow of interactions smoother. Hopefully I'll give my partner enough to work with. If not, let me know!

-Please understand that if you DO rp with me, I do not ship characters unless it develops naturally or it feels right. If something happens, it happens, but I won't pair anyone unless the muse legitimately develops feelings over their interactions. Those actions do not need to be written necessarily, and do not need to be on Tumblr, but they need to happen first. I feel it’s only safe to let people know, since some muns are looking to ship as their primary goal.

-All Icons I use I either have permission from the artist to use, or made myself! I will likely use icons sometimes as I begin to amass them, but I don't expect anyone to use them to write with me. I also don't format my posts except for fun on rare occasions where it feels fitting. I don't expect anyone to match my format, and I hope my simplicity won't be an issue for anyone!

Hello hello!! Not sure how you stumbled upon this blog, but I'm happy to have you here!! I'm Dáša, or just Dasha for you people without special characters. I was definitely never named after Saint Kliment of Orchid ever in my life.

I use she/her pronouns, but I don't mind the occasional he/him. Not too big on they/them, though. If you know my pronouns, please use them!! Or else... Heh... Let's just say... You're going to the crusher...

This is my blog dedicated the the Czech TV-series Cyril and Methodius: The Apostles of the Slavs!! I am pretty sure I am the only fanartist for this series like, ever, so incase there is or ever will be another person who really likes this series, I just wanted to leave this little blog for them as breadcrumbs of fandom content. If you are that person, hello!!

(The TV series is also known under the names of Cyril and Methodius: Apostles to the Slavs, Cyril a Metod: Apoštoli Slovanov, Cyril a Metoděj - Apoštolové Slovanů, and Kyrill und Method - Der Kampf der Konfessionen.)

-Pro-Israel people, devoted Christians, Proshippers and people who are neutral on them, and defenders/users of AI art are NOT welcome here! If you are Pro-Israel, you are lower than dirt to me. If you are a Proshipper, you are either a groomer, a victim or a gooner. I do not want anything to do with like, 2 of those. If you use AI art, again, you are scum to me. And if you are a devoted Christian... well, to be honest, that's more for your sake than mine. I don't think you're gonna like a lot of my opinions lol.

-Less generally, I heavily dislike people who genuinely engage in queer discourse, Vivziepop apologists/fans and Southpark fans. I think you are most likely unbelievably annoying if you are any of these, but I don't find it enough of an offense to completely blacklist you. If I find you in the wild, I'll probably block you, but hey, I can't say shit when my account is dedicated to drawing shitty pseudo-anime art of Saints. If you behave yourself, you can stay. (Though, I doubt you'd want to after this. Sorry!!)

-Also, sort of the same shit as proshippers, but if you're one of those people who insist that writing rape erotica and shit is normal and anyone who disagrees is a puritan, get the fuck outta here. I have seen one too many people reblog that shit. No Saint Yaoi for people who refuse to confront the truth that fiction and reality are inherently connected and always changing the other!

However, other people aside, here are some things to look out for while traversing this blog:

-I often shorten the series' name to just Apostles of the Slavs or AotS.

-As a Slovak person, I might often use the Slovak/Slovakized versions of names for the characters, ex: calling Constantine "Konstantin", Rostislav "Rastislav" and Svatopluk "Svätopluk". This is just my own personal preference, and you do not have to abide by it.

-I headcanon a lot of the cast as queer, including Konstantin. If you think that gay historical priests are just a bit much for your own dignity, that's fair, you can block me.

-I am well aware that the series is very much not perfect. To be clear, I think that the real Konstantin and Methodius were at best kind of dicks and at worst genuinely morally corrupt people. The series tries really hard to make them sympathetic, since it was funded by the Church, but it is largely historically innacurate and overall just not that great of a representation of the real people. I treat TV series Konstantin and Method and real life Konstantin and Method as largely seperate people. To me, Apostles of the Slavs is less of a documentary and moreso a historical drama that draws on the real history behind the people, but I understand if you do not hold the same viewpoint. Maybe one day, I'll make a full masterlist of everything wrong with the series... but, I do repeat: The Konstantin I draw and make funny little headcanons for is NOT meant to represent the real Saint Konstantin.

-If you know me in real life, no you don't.
