Prowl X Cybertronian! Reader who was raised on Earth scenario! warnings: obsessive behavior, no specified continuity, Prowl is a delusional prick I suppose, possible ooc Prowl, implied death of a family member

Earth had been your home your entire life, from the moment your mom found you in a tiny safety pod that crashed into the backyard of her farm away from the large city she lived near. She had no idea what you were, but she knew that she couldn't leave you there, small and defenseless..

you were just like a normal human baby, but, well... metal?? you grew a lot bigger when you reached your teenage years, nonetheless, your mother took care of you. she feed you what she thought a baby of you,, unique qualities would consume, she washed you when you got dirty, and of course when you got older she taught you how to help around the farm.

there was only one rule.

stay at the farm.

mother was so worried about a scenario where you are discovered by another human. what would happen to you? would you be taken away and experimented on like those awful sci-fi movies? would you have to be on the run? she couldn't bear to think it. so she made the stern rule that you are to never leave the farm unless absolutely necessary.

...

then they came.

creatures that looked like you, made of metal, you saw them whilst watching t.v. with mom through the house window. you where so excited! finally! you found out what you were! where you came from! it was also the day that mother finally decided it was safe for you to explore outside the farm, meet the creatures that were like you, find out who and what you are. it was hard for her, but she knew that you would be alright... at least she hoped...

Prowl had very mixed feelings about you when you first meet him and his fellow autobots.

you were... odd. you were loud. you were annoyingly curious about everything... and worst of all, he strangely didn't seem to mind..?

something about you.. drew him in. you had no idea what you even where, and for some reason, you stuck to him the most. it was odd.. like a breath of strange fresh air..

the way you looked at him as he spoke about basic knowledge that every other regular cybertronian should know already, but you didn't.. the look of wonder and amazement you had on your face only drew him in more..

you were so strange.. yet so... endearing..?

of course he never said any of this to you out loud, but he found himself growing more attached to you, which he found ridiculous in his own regard..

you are a distraction. he would tell himself. someone who strays him from his intended purpose.

but on the other hand.. he didn't want you to leave him alone either..

he could be selfish just this once, no? indulge you in facts that every other cybertronian should know at this point.. in fact, it's not entirely selfish is it? no! he's helping you learn who you are. who you were meant to be..

It's for your own good... right? you should know where you truly come from.... in fact... he'll do you one better.. he can bring you there.

one day, he offers to bring you to cybertron, to actually be where you truly came from.. to taste actual energon for the first time.. he'll be your guide, teach you everything the is to know and more-

"no."

"...what do you mean 'no'..?"

"I mean, I don't want to go to Cybertron."

...what?

"what are you even saying? all these months of telling about Cybertron, of you constantly asking where you came from, I give you a chance to actually go there and you say 'no'-?"

"I appreciate everything you've taught me, all of it, really. but I have a home here. With my mom. I can't just leave her here. everything I know is here. on Earth."

oh yes. your "mother", Prowl had meet her a couple of times. to be honest, he never really cared for her to begin with. she was paranoid, always being so paranoid. always nagging.

... Maybe he should do something about that.

"..."

".. Prowl..? are you ok?"

".... I have to do something."

Prowl transformed into his alt mode, and he sped off.. you've never seen him in such a hurry before.. you were worried.. ....

you fell to your knees.. eyes wide in terror and disbelief..

the farm... your house... the only thing you've ever known since you've landed here on Earth..

It was all in flames.

"...It was the most efficient solution." Prowl muttered behind you. you turned your helm and looked at him, you opened your mouth to say something but nothing came out.. it was like you voice box was frozen.. "this place was in the way, it was distracting you. now, you can come ho-" "... wh... where's my mom..?" Prowl was silent, he looked away for a brief second, and then looked back to you.. you repeated your question, only louder, and angrier.

"WHERE IS SHE PROWL?! WHAT DID YOU DO TO MY MOM!?"

"... that doesn't matter." was his only response. he placed his servo along you back, like he was trying to comfort you in a sick sense... "now you have nothing left to stay here for," he shoved you to the ground, holding your servos behind your back as he forced them into stasis cuffs. "now you can come back home. your real home. with me." his look softened, if only for a second..

"you may not understand it now, but I am doing what is best for you."

The city’s perpetual gloom filled the night sky in murky shades of gray and blue, as Gabe stood on a rooftop close to the edge, with the cold midnight air biting at his skin. His gaze drifted downward to the city streets below, where he could hear snippets of conversations—laughter, shouts, the distant wailing of sirens. It was a good distraction for him, something to take his mind off of... well, things. Things that's been eating him up inside, and he can't figure out why.

Next to him was the Red Hood, muttering something about plans to take out some criminals, or other stuff— Gabe wasn't listening. Not really. His mind had been occupied since the moment Jason arrived. Anon's usual blabbering, chatty self was nowhere to be seen or heard. Something was different, and Jason was quick to notice.

"Earth to Anon?" Jason calls out, his voice low and gravelly from his helmet. "Are you going to help me out here, or are you just gonna stare off into space?" Right. They were working on something together— nothing too serious, just a need to take down a rookie gang. Minor stuff.

Gabe blinked at hearing Jason's voice. Covering his slip with a lopsided grin, "You've got it handled, Red." Dissatisfied with the answer, Jason huffed from under his helmet. "Handle what? Were you even listening to me?" he scoffed.

"Sorry," Gabe mutters, looking down at his feet. Silence stretched between them, heavy and suffocating— for Gabe, at least. And he hated it.

"You're not usually this quiet." Jason sighed, crossing his arm over his chest. "You're usually annoying, always talking about whatever..." he looks at Gabe before bringing his attention to Gotham below.

"I'm multifaceted." Gabe quipped, though his voice was much softer than usual.

Jason could only groan from that reply, "Don't give me that crap." If Gabe could see what the man looked like right now, he was sure he was rolling his eyes. "Alright, stop it. What's up? You're clearly distracted and it's annoying me."

"It's nothing."

"Bullshit. What's eating you up?"

Gabe hesitated, the words stuck in his throat. He sighed, more to himself than anyone else. There was something about Jason that made it impossible to ignore him. Maybe it was the way he fought like he had nothing to lose, or the way he smiled as if he didn’t care—though Gabe knew better. Jason tried to hide it, but Gabe could see the weight he carried, the guilt and pain that clung to him like a second skin.

But why was he overthinking this? Jason was just a guy with too much baggage, right? But that was just an excuse, a way to push aside everything Gabe felt. Jason wasn’t just anything. He was fire and fury—something that drew Gabe in, something that made him want to understand him, even when Jason pushed people away.

Gabe didn’t know when it all started. Maybe it was the first time Jason snapped at him, his voice sharp and rough, cutting through the chaos like a jagged knife. Or maybe it was when Gabe saw Jason unmasked, vulnerable in the dim light after one of their shared missions. Either way, it didn’t matter. He hated thinking about it, hated how much space the Red Hood took up in his head.

He tried to bury the feeling deep, convincing himself it was just respect, maybe camaraderie. But the truth wasn’t so kind. Why Jason? Why him? Gabe asked himself again. But deep down, he knew the answer didn’t matter. Despite everything—despite Jason’s rough edges and sharp words—Gabe couldn’t stop himself from wanting to get closer.

His gaze lingered on the man in front of him. Jason had always had a magnetic pull, something that left Gabe feeling unsteady.

But right now, he wasn’t ready to admit everything out loud. Instead, he wore his usual smile. "Maybe I'm just thinking about how good of a friend you are?"

"What..." Jason blinked, caught off guard by the ridiculousness Gabe said. He scoffed a bit, shifting his weight to his right leg while staring at the other in disbelief. "You have terrible taste."

"I know."

"You were distracted because of... what, that?"

Gabe laughed sheepishly. "Yeah."

"That's stupid." Jason groaned and stepped back. Muttering something that Gabe didn't quite catch. Gabe away, back to the city. There was something about Jason Todd—something that made Gabe's heart race and his walls crumble. And maybe that's stupid. And just maybe, that was okay.

As soon as Toby felt the pull of her hand from his he let go. The sound of the door shutting quietly drew his attention, about to turn to look over his shoulder to see what it had been– but he didn't have to. She was already telling him.

It was a little hard to follow at first but he had gotten attuned to listening to her, to knowing her voice and while he hadn't the lifetime it would take to have all its pitches and tones perfectly memorized, he knew this one. And at first it was able to sweep him up with it, to fill in the blank confusion his own emotions had left behind with that same panic.

Only the absurdity of He's going to tell everyone, managed to act like change in the current and help bring him back up on the shores of static reality. Because– what? The tea shoppe owner? He hardly said a full sentence on an average day. He wasn't going to tell everyone.

But Toby knew what she meant. He would tell someone and then they would, too, and soon everyone would know. As was the way of Swynlake.

It was not his first instinct to try and convince her that...maybe that was good thing, maybe this was just the sign that it was time, Because she was panicking about it. She was scared. She didn't want that, didn't want people to know about what they really were to one another.

No, his first instinct was to say, "I'm- I'm sorry. I shouldn't have–"

But an apology wasn't going to fix it so he stopped and he stepped back a few paces. That wasn't going to fix it either.

Nothing could.

Because, unfortunately for the both of them, Toby wasn't an idiot. He had known a while ago that keeping them a secret wasn't just for the sake of her children or their jobs or because she still needed to curb the ending of another relationship before a new one began. He just...wasn't good enough for her. It didn't matter that she cared about him or that he cared about her, there was far more to a relationship than that. And he had failed to showcase that he could be what she needed. She had told him what she had wanted that same night she had first kissed him, and he'd had months to prove to her that he could be that for her.

But he had failed. Miserably so.

Not only that, but he had just ruined everything by exposing them. Because there had been a world where Toby would have been perfectly content to just be this. To never have a relationship out in the open, to never be acknowledged to the people that mattered to her, because if that what Anastasia had been willing to give him then how could he possibly asked for more? Anything would have sufficed, no matter the pain. His ego didn't matter. She did.

Which was why it would have been a selfish thing to let this continue. Yet, he would have done it anyway.

"I'll go before someone else sees," he said, even though he knew this was his mess to clean up. He should be the one to go knock on the door, to demand an audience with the tea shoppe owner, and straighten everything out. The story was an easy one; he had been making an advance on her but she had politely declined him, and that was it.

But he just– could not bare to think about saying the words. Not tonight.

Ever the coward, Toby ducked his head and started off toward the park.

My fourth wall OCs! ♥ (Patreon)

I tried to put everything in the tags but ended up being too long-winded lol, so here it is instead!

For this year’s big behind-the-scenes project, I realized I haven’t given colour references to a lot of my 4th Wall characters! There are...a surprising proportion of femboys who are aware of their existence here now that I look at it lol - I mean technically only Cory and Mint count there but that's still 2/8 - a fourth is kind of a lot! Their sizing is pretty funny to me as well, Cory’s proportions make everyone else look tiny by comparison, he’s just got a very large eye! Set right next to Gijat too, Vortians are so compact - he’s fully grown he’s an adult he’s just small!

Okay, for actuals now, starting left-to-right - while they’re obviously organized by height, it's funny because Cure is also the oldest by creation date. She's front of the line on everything! How silly. She's larger than your average plush bear but only by a little - just enough to be like Mildly intimidating if she approached haha. Puntable - and yet unpuntable lol. It's not just her being the oldest of the lot that makes her more powerful (although that is a contributing factor - she’s aware of her status both in and out of character!). It's not just Kids Rules either since she was made such a long time ago - y'know like ''Oh yeah well my character is [very powerful for X reasons]'' - although yes Also That lol. She's a Fourth Wall OC down to her roots, always intended that way - not everyone here can say that!

Tala also has that edge! Though in a very different way haha - she's also the only one here with a physical counterpart, which is fun :D Means she can go on “actual” adventures and bring that knowledge back with her cartoon versions - both are as real as the other! I keep forgotting her bow, agh, I need to take some more pictures of her sometime so my mental picture of her is more up to date haha

I guess my blankslate HF expression kind of counts?? Lol, it’s mostly for funsies, they’re more like a Concept As Person so?? Sure lol, With Accessories of course lol - haven’t been fighting it much lately so that’s all for now ♪ I wonder if they’ll stay so lucky in the near future hmmm

Gijat! ♥ He ended up being an accidental fourth wall character actually haha, he wasn’t designed with that in mind! He's not meant to know such things, but he did fairly well with it while he was part of the main rotation :) He was designed to be a story character but he ended up being my favourite comfort character so he got a few glimpses out <3 He hasn't for a while though! He's been retired for a long while actually - he's the second oldest character in the lineup after Cure but she had more staying power, sorry Gi <3 I did draw his fairy version not all That long ago tho! It’s hard to let go of anyone for Too long haha

Cory ♥ My sweet special boy <3 He's also the third oldest here! He was the first one to assert himself as a fourth wall OC haha ♪ Cure didn't really congeal into an OC for a long time - she stayed a concept and Gijat was on accident - whereas Cory purposefully and clearly looked outward from the start. He Has a story but it's never been all That developed - he has some non-4th Wall character-friends but his main focus is other, unrelated characters. He's always been very interested in other OCs, a lot of which stems from Bar actually haha - he and Bar are near-contemporaries - they're both featured here for a reason haha

Mint >:| He's...fine. He was inspired from a weird source and has therefore always Been weird - and also asserted himself like Cory. Same story - he has canon story elements but for the most part he's interested in others! Usually in a Pursuit kind of way, and not just limited to my OCs >:/ He needs to behave himself is what - he also has like 1000 outfits and they rarely repeat, ugh, pick one! I wasn’t familiar with the eGirl aesthetic at the time I made him, but he 100% fits it, look at him in his elf ears and heterochromatic contacts smh. I don’t actually know his real eye colour, or hair colour! He wears contacts and dyes his hair and won’t tell me, he even started dating a non-4th wall character without asking! He’s a real wild card

Erase is probably the babiest of the list despite Tala being newer and younger - everyone else was made before Erase! They’ve had had less screen time and less development than everyone else too.They're an incredibly light and oddly harmless fourth wall presence lol for all the danger They pose in Their story :0 They're fairly polite all things considered. They actually have a degree of respect for the fourth wall - unlike Some people (Mint) - probably from acknowledging The Player/Character vs. developer. If there's a hierarchy capable of being distinguished then Erase is going to place Themself in the safest spot. Y'know - to cause problems from lol. I do need to play with Them more - They're fun! But fun isn't quite enough to be full-fledged Interesting just yet, more to do, more to do

It's almost unfair to have Erase right next to Bar lol - possibly my most Interesting OC of all time. First created in 2015 quite soon after Cory, even in the same notebook! He retired in 2017, I think? 2018 at the latest - and then was revived in 2020 and has been here again since. And that's just his timeline! Not counting everything that went into him character-wise. Obviously my sonas don't count as 4th wall OCs because y'know - they're me - but Bar falls kind of unclear of the line between OC and sona, he's always been a weird one. He was initially meant to be an RP character and then over time he developed into a 4th wall OC/sona of a Kind. Nowadays he's a fully-fledged 4th wall OC by design - his change in design from his 2020 revival was meant to represent his transformation thereof - but he's always been weird! If I had to pick a character that I’d consider “overdeveloped” or put too much of myself in - even more than some of my sonas - it'd be him. He's one of my favourites because of that but it's hard to quantify how exactly I feel about him haha. I love him! It's painful! He's great! He's awful! He's very important to me and he'll never return to being what he was first created for again. I do quite like his new design <3 Paying homage to the video that sent him crashing back into relevance for me haha

It was fun to draw everyone :D And it's nice that they all have colour references now! Mint has definitely been the longest without one, everyone else has had at least Something - even Erase! And They're way newer! I did make Mint in a couple online dollmakers but that's not quite the same thing haha, he really needs his clothes hand-drawn :P

It's good to have them all :) They're a fun bunch and I like all of them <3 I think it’s kinda funny and a little strange how few crossovers they’ve had with each other though! So far it’s really only been Tala-Bar-Cory - the rest are aware of each other but haven’t really met, how strange, considering what they are!

Some portraits I did of Branch and his brothers from the new Trolls movie as humans :)

I finished the Branch picture first, then I spent a decent amount of time sketching out the other faces. I really enjoy drawing siblings as it’s fun to choose which features they will share and how they differ. I then spent a million years mindlessly colouring and recolouring trying to get the shading right so now I can’t tell if they look good or not. Also you cannot see Floyd’s earring because he is facing the wrong way but I promise he is wearing one.

I also sketched them in their early Brozone days. I imagine they all had the same(ish) hairstyle but dyed a different colour.
