Ok wait i just had a funny idea

Why stop at just a yandere batfamily? Why not all of Gotham?

Like, imagine Bane kidnapping you, calling you his "firefly" or whatever because you're a fleeting light in the darkness or something, and you're more guarded than the actual thing he stole.

And despite that, Poison Ivy manages to nab you, her "little rose", while Bane is busy dealing with Batman. She takes you back to her apartment, where you greet the plants you recognize and introduce yourself to the new ones (There aren't many, you were here 3 months ago).

At some point you take a breath of fresh air through an open window, and Scarecrow grabs you, taking you to his lair, into a room which is also pumped with a special strain of fear gas that makes you cling to him for safety.

And then, shock of all shocks, the one and only, motherfucking Joker snatches you from the lair, leaving behind a dummy for Scarecrow to find. Unlike the others, Joker's obsession is in the fact that everyone else is obsessed with you. He finds it hysterical how one person can have all of Gotham in a spin!

Eventually, the Batfam grabs Reader from the Joker, since he's not actually obsessed so he has them the least guarded, maybe a short conversation with Batman, but even Joker knows he's in water too hot to joke about severe injuries, especially since he doesn't know if Red Hood is nearby.

Batman might not kill, but he cannot guarantee that anyone else wouldn't if he killed their favorite person, and he does not have the influence where he could get away with that.

You get returned to your nice cage room in the manor, where the Batfamily scolds you yet again for another failed escape attempt trip outside getting you shipped around Gotham for weeks!

At this point, you're pretty sure you not only can't leave, but also any attempts at a normal life are pointless. You mostly do this because humans are animals and animals need enrichment, and no, the cycle of games/quality time they're giving you are not a suitable replacement for touching grass and seeing new faces.

Even the brief moments of time between kidnappings, the short moments of normalcy that the other villains, the other heroes and vigilantes give you, are a welcome change of pace.

Bonus points if it's literally everyone in neighboring cities/Justice League, so Superman finds you and you're just like "Well shit" because now you're taken to his house, maybe his parents' farm, and you're kept there until someone catches on that Clark has you.

Also if you tack this onto Spoiled!Reader, this becomes infinitely funnier because In my mind I'm treating that AU as 90% a crack/lighthearted fic, and another thing is I think of them as being ~12 sometimes, so it's the entirety of Gotham fighting over a middle schooler.

If it's an adult Reader, it's more of a "This is fine" as they are carted from villain to villain to vigilante to hero because their family literally has a fan club for them, so their perception of what is "normal" levels of interest is severely skewed.

If you want to go for the Neglected!Reader, then it would be really interesting for them to try and figure out where is a good level of "interested in your hobbies", and doubts whether they're so uncomfortable because they're actually too invested in their day to day life, or if it's because they were neglected for so long that any interest feels overwhelming.

Do y’all ever worry that you might be infantilizing yourself? People all ways talk about the way neurodivergent people get infantilized by others and it brings up a deep seated fear I have that I might be doing it to myself. Whenever i engage in my interests, I get worried I am babying myself. Like my mom gave me a gift card for Christmas and I bought a tea pot and a monster high doll. For some reason I felt great shame getting the doll I wanted and felt icky while at checkout? Can a neurodivergent person really even baby themselves not on purpose or this shame I feel indulging in my interests (which have been deemed childish in nature) just one of my insecurities that I haven’t recognized yet?

Anyway, the conversation happening about people infantilizing and greatly miss interpreting Amir’s character got me thinking. I have totally seen people casting Amir as a uWu smol boi and it kinda bothers me but at the same time I feel it’s just people misinterpreting his character based on base knowledge you learn about him and his hyper personality. Once you actually get to know him there is alot more to him than that. I kinda wanna see more interpretations in fics and art of that side of his character. Also if you ship Quincy and Amir you can suck my dick.

The only Amir and Quincy fics I can find is of people shipping them together which drives me fucking crazy. Like? They are basically brothers, Amir and Quincy both have voice lines and talk about being brothers. Ship who you want, I am not gonna tell y’all what to do, but like can we get some good brother fics or something? Ik that’s a lot to ask but like plz I am begging someone to write a found family Hex fic where Amir and Quincy aren’t fucking.

Anyway, this post is not coherent and I apologize for that. I am just rambling and needed to get this out to someone. The miss characterization of the Hex is something that has been racking at my brain and I wanna see more discussion around it. It’s not crazy important or anything but I love having conversations like that and would love to hear y’all’s opinions.

This bug needs to be closer

It seemed that today you could barely function. You just need to be attached to one of your caregivers for the whole day. You tried to do work, tried to read some of the mission papers but your eyes glazed over and by the fifth time you reread the same sentence, you gave up. The words didn’t make any sense and your patience is too short to push through. You know Price is in his office and Simon is overseeing some sort of training. You just need to be close to them, feel their warmth, soak up their attention. 

When you hear footsteps approaching you lift your head from where you are miserably lying on the couch. Kyle pauses in the doorway and gives you a concerned look. 

“What’s wrong bug?” The question makes you tear up, and you turn to shove your face in the couch cushion. You let out a sad drawn out whine, which feels childish but it was all you could get out. You feel the thumps of his steps get closer to you. He starts stroking your hair and all you do is lift your head up slightly to wipe your tears with your hands. “What can I do for you hm?”

“John.” You couldn’t hold back anymore, all you want is to be held. 

“Ok sweetheart let’s go see Price.” You nod and get up, wobbling slightly but Kyle reaches out to put his arm around you. You're grateful for the stability and comfort. Thankfully on your way to John’s office no one else is in the hallway, you don’t need the embarrassment of someone seeing the tears running down your face. 

It's a short walk and then Kyle is knocking a few times on the door. There's a “come in” before he twists the doorknob and pushes the door open. You see Price look up from the papers on his desk, glasses sat low on his nose and his favourite pen resting in his hand. You can’t stop the new flood of tears at the sight of him and rush to him. He quickly sets down his pen and opens his arms. You fall into his arms and your shoulders shake with the intensity of your sobs. 

“Oh love.” He had noticed your low mood in the morning but didn’t think it would be this low. He mumbles a quick “thanks” as Kyle shuts his door on the way out. John turns his attention back to you, rubbing your back with one hand, and types out a quick message to Simon with the other. He figures you’d appreciate him being there as well. About ten minutes pass before Simon enters the room. Your breathing has slowed, only the occasional sniffles, and you are tucked into John’s chest. You open one eye to look at Simon as he rounds the desk and crouches in front of where you are curled up. 

“Rough morning bug?” You give him a small nod and then seem to think for a moment before you reach out for him. He stands and lifts you into his arms with ease, something both you and him enjoy greatly. He loves that he can hold you the way you so desperately need. You wrap your legs around him, and your arms circle his neck securely. He sways back and forth slightly but when he walks to the couch you whine and stick a hand out to Price. 

Simon sighs softly before shifting to hold you with one arm and then drags a chair over to John. It wasn’t as comfortable as the couch but when he sits down and you see that you are close to Price, you settle against him and close your eyes. John looks over at the two of you and smiles softly. He is close enough that he's able to reach out and rub your back before going back to his paperwork. Simon leans his head against the wall behind him and closes his eyes as well. He might as well enjoy a break, not that he was complaining.

♡ How They React To Finding You Sleeping Somewhere Uncomfortable After Running Away From Them ♡

(In my defense for not writing sooner in the day and starting to write my fic of the day literally minutes before minute, I just got portal 2 which I have never played before so… also it sstill counts as a fic per day I think because it's once per sleep cycle and since I'm not sleeping until like 2 here, it's fine.)

♡ Probably more enraged than any of the others about this because she has dignity as a noble so she'd be angry to find her queen even sleeping in a medium quality bed but in a cheap inn? Where it's cold and they offered you nothing but a simple cloth blanket? With less than desired food accommodations? She should burn this inn to the ground for not recognizing that they had nobility in their mix but no, she'll let it be for now, she could use that as blackmail after all. If you don't want that inn burning to the ground then you had better start accepting your place as queen, if you don't then she might tell everyone that they polluted her queen's mind! Look, her queen prefer commoner things ever since she returned from that nasty place! They ruined your tastes! You'll listen to her now right? ♡

♡ Elisha might be a bit angry depending on how bad and makeshift your accommodations are. You're rarely anywhere super fancy when it comes to her however even when you're camping outside or in an inn she always makes sure she has some fur blankets in the heavy backpack she lugs around just for her darling, at some point I imagine she would even try to learn some sort of storage magic though being the chosen one it means she's mostly incompatible with any magic that doesn't involve killing dragons so it probably would be a failed attempt. The point is though she makes sure you're decently comfortable so if she finds you cold and laying on the floor somewhere she's going to get pretty mad. I think she'd be pretty delusional about it though and think that you must not have chosen this, you just got lost and any attempts to tell her otherwise fall on deaf ears as she bundles you up. ♡

♡ While Pauline might not say this very often, it's clear by her actions that her darling is supposed to receive more luxuries than even she does and this becomes especially true when her parents are killed and you are given free reign of the master bedroom to make it as comfortable to you as possible, it doesn't matter if she doesn't prefer the fabric or whatever you chose for the bedding because her greatest comfort is you. Having said this, it would be extremely irritating to find you sleeping out in the forest, probably stuck there due to the curse banning you from going too far from her because she never wants to be like her family, depriving their darlings of luxuries as punishment. She isn't likely to say much about it except for whispering under her breath for awhile about how you're an idiot and holding you tighter as you sleep. You will however find you have a whole slew of chamber maids assigned specifically to keep you in luxuries and prevent you from going anywhere uncomfortable for you. ♡

♡ Abigail is incapable of being normal about this. While the others can refrain from taking their rage out on an innocent business, she can not. How could they let a delicate lady stay in such an unrefined place? Of course they had to have know you were a fragile little lady, it would be impossible not to, she saw it on you the first second she met you so they would have had to realize you needed better commodities. Just to spite them she'd buy out the business and turn it into a luxury inn that allows ladies to stay there for cheaper which would be subsidized by the kingdom nobles because if their darling ever went away they would also like to know they were staying somewhere better. She'll also have to send you away for training in the family manor while she is back at the capital preaching about how they need more luxury inns that are cheap because the ladies couldn't possibly stay somewhere with a rough bed even for a night. ♡

♡ She is by far the worst about this, you are of course a perfect beautiful goddess and these people had the pleasure of being the ones who were supposed to serve you while you were in their establishment yet she finds you in a filthy room that's freezing cold so now she is going to eat them all. She'll hunt them and let them know fear before she finishes their sorry lives and then she'll burn the building to the ground because it is truly a place of horror in her eyes. She hopes once she gets you home you'll understand out of all the filthy pests in the world she is the only person capable of ever serving you correctly. She'll also cry a lot. ♡

♡ Don't think for even a second just because you live in the forest you won't have a nice place to sleep. Your sleeping conditions are pretty excellent because she always goes hunting in order to find great furs and invites plenty of merchants to turn the things she steals and gathers for you into luxury goods, they even put a good bed frame and mattress in the cave though you don't sleep on that when she's in heat or it would break. She also wouldn't be super angry about it though if she just finds you asleep somewhere in the forest, she'll drag you back to the cave and lay you done. If you have a scratch on you though then it's another story and she might chain you to the bed in the cave so stay comfortable and importantly, not hurt. ♡

♡ When she finds you, into the jail cell you go, she'll laugh really hard about it too. She's not the highest court position possible but she's still close to the top being one of the few who can make Theanna even chuckle with her cruelty in her comedy and executions and nobles are generally scared of her so if she asks for their room because it's better than hers, they will generally give in because she always seems to find a reason to execute anyone she doesn't like. If you don't like those accommodations though then you two can just sleep in the jail cell together because she has never been picky about where she sleeps. She'll find it very funny that you're stuck in a jail cell when you could have had a proper bed. Might let you out if you stuck her dick. ♡

♡ Ainsley has a decent bit of delusionality to her but even this is hard for her to write off. You'll have to work very very hard to convince her you love her and that you just got lost out there or were confused and didn't realize you loved her until you were sad and alone out there. You need to make sure to convince her though because if she's not convince then she will kill you both. Eventually she'll believe that you really were just lost out there and afterwards she'll keep you trapped in the two upper floors of the tower forever. She'll be the most upset about it because it challenges her delusionality that you wanted to be away from her so bad you fell asleep under a cold hard tree. ♡

I imagine they would throw huge tantrums at first because they are entitled and spoiled and what do you mean we’re not in power anymore and are being held in one room get us out of here this is not how it is supposed to be?! but would very soon be too terrified for their lives to do that anymore and would start to break down

and while the hate and the resentment Lucilla holds against the twins is so valid I can’t help but already long for the moment she might start to see them in a different light and maybe even start to care for them a little bit

Acacius accidentally being their father is so cute and so funny and I can already imagine him noticing that hes started to grow a little fond of them and it makes me CACKLE hes probably going to be like oh..shit....

but on a more serious note Acacius starting to see them as more human and less as cruel tyrants when they've been broken down and then starting to explore how far the damage has gone and what there is to salvage in them is such a good beautiful delicious concept

lila getting with griffin / g reign and having their little thing in “secret” not only bc it’s what her parents did to each other to get back at the other for slights and arguments but also bc she wanted to not only get back at seven but also to be like “oo look at me i can pull griffin freaking reign i won teehee.” and then the clown catches real feelings for griffin and calls jazz near in tears bc she’s just like her mom 🥀✨🎸🤡 and using someone she loves to get back at someone who she loved may or may not have even loved (i think she did but loved more the idea ? it’s complicated!) but loved the IDEA of seven loving her? dear you know it everyone knows it you want to be loved so bad!!!!!! the sooner you admit that lila the sooner you’ll be much happier my love! so excited to see where things go for her ! and things for her and her beloved g!!!!!

I've kinda seen some pushback to the idea of representation in media and I don't necessarily think it's bad to point out actual rights are more important than Disney's thousandth first gay character that's fine, but I've had a LOT of people comment on my works about asexual characters and tell me what I wrote changed their life-and it's always that phrase- because they now have the language to describe what they feel. I've had people who ARENT ace or aro comment that what I wrote finally made a concept they didn't understand make sense, or that the way I explained things was interesting and enlightening and I'm kind of a mediocre writer who hasn't written anything in ages.

Like idk, if reading something from a writer who is fucking around and only somewhat talented can genuinely impact someone because they've not seen anything like them reflected back at them in life or media I don't think pushing for representation in media is as "needless" as some people seem to think and caring about that doesn't mean you don't care about more "important" (although if you think seeing people like you in media ISNT important it's because you already have that representation or are privileged enough to not care if you do, in which case maybe pipe down) stuff. Hell, I even got a Facebook message ages ago from someone who found a comment I left in an ace group about QPR's and what they meant to me and how I perceived them and the person no joke said what I wrote two years before they even found it changed their life forever because they finally knew what kind of relationship they actually wanted.

So like sure, of course there's always bigger fish to fry them diversity in media (you know, like diversity in real life lol) but I don't think it's as frivolous as some people are beginning to act like it is. At least not if you're an aspec person it's not, I STILL don't see ace characters almost ever and I'll bet my whole everything if I asked a writer of a show why they'd tell me that EVERYONE has to be in a sexual relationship and characters that aren't won't sell and are boring- I say this because in film school I had a teacher TELL ME every character needed to basically be sex obsessed and when I pointed out a GREAT MANY CHARACTERS are not revolved around sex (Supernatural stars two brothers, I pointed out) and when she asked if I had love interests I was like ??? That doesn't matter- using my aforementioned supernatural example almost all their love interests die or get mind wiped because at the end of the day that's not what the story was about. So actually I think writers who act like that teacher need like 50 reality checks, and representation in stories isn't unimportant and also support indie writers you'll probably find more funky shit there then Disney anyway lmao.

And also even the asexual characters I DO see in media don't remind me at all of myself even if I appreciate the effort, but they never feel real or genuine and their sexuality doesn't get a lot of exploration so 🤷🏻‍♀️ I actually could use more media focused on characters that I can genuinely see my sexuality reflected in in a meaningful and narratively impactful way because I've got nothing.

one day i might want to make a master post with all of my AO3-user tips because (and this is a toxic trait of mine ik) i get REALLY irritated with a lot of ‘advice’ posts that just repeat the same basic information in a patronizing way without offering like... actually specific input. 

and i think ao3 as a whole is a relatively easy site to use you just gotta get the hang of it. in a sense i would really liken it to tumblr because one of the things about tumblr is that you can’t just join the site and then hit an explore page directly, that’s not really how this place works, you usually have to populate your dash with blogs. with ao3 it is significantly harder to just search up ships and works imo, it’s best if you already have favorite tags and how you do that is finding specific fics and then going from there and exploring in a branch off method. so once you use it for a while it’s extremely comfortable and remarkably convenient it’s just not really the easiest from the get go.

This may be the depression speaking + the earliest trauma I've ever gone thru (completely accidental as well), but I think it's kinda pointless to give me gifts. I have clothes that still fit me and are in excellent condition. I have shoes. I have a sizeable movie collection (that tbf I can always add to), and all the books I'd want. I don't paint anymore so it's useless giving me art supplies. And unfortunately even giving me money is hilariously pointless bcus I'm not even gonna spend it on anything, I'm just gonna put it into my savings account and keep living day by day as I do: doing nothing...interesting
