We had several asks discussing and asking about Funk Branch/Lownote Jones, but never for the other Branchs... So, if you're to be so inclined, Branch/LJ (we need a better ship name tbh) dynamics for some of the different AUs? Pretty please *batting my eyelashes*?

Rock Branch: They meet during the "world tour" arc. I can't get into how they actually MEET but Lownote is intrigued by him. Branch isn't sure why this objectively cool guy is hanging around him but he's not about to complain. His friends are definitely going to tease him about it though.

Since Rock Trolls tend to not establish they're in a relationship, Lownote (trying to do things the Rock Troll way) decides that they're dating. He didn't exactly do it right, there's a lot of nuance, which Val calls him out on.

"No you didn't do it right, you suck at this."

Lownote's actually pretty good at adapting to the other tribes, so he's also popular with Rock Trolls, but in a 'Woah the prince's boyfriend is so cool' kind of way. The tabloids also agree that Lownote is Branch's boyfriend. Branch is still not aware of this.

Techno Branch: Laguna is discussing the Techno tribe's defenses and many of the Funk Trolls are interested in the Troll who made them. They go visit Techno Reef and Branch is in the middle of trying to make a portable rave.

It catches on fire.

Underwater.

Branch is thrilled that people want to see his defenses. He shows off all the traps and censors he has. While not nearly as advanced as what Funk has, they're impressed because they know the other tribes have less technology than them. Lownote invites Branch to a Funk lab.

Thing is, there's one huge difference between Techno labs and Funk labs, which is gravity. Branch is used to just setting things down in the water around him and after about five broken test tubes they catch on that it's a huge adjustment. Lownote thinks it's cute though.

Classical Branch: He's immediately charmed by Lownote the way most people are. He does what he never thought he'd have the courage to do and sends Lownote a wedding proposal. Lownote turns him down and Branch is of course a bit disappointed and embarrassed but he goes on about his day.

Thing is, Lownote gets proposed to a lot. To the point he forgot that's how Classical Trolls ask someone out.

(I imagine this somehow gets out to the Classical Trolls and it's QUITE outrageous to them that THE Branch Chrysostomus Trollzart sent Lownote a proposal and he turned HIM DOWN???!!! Does the man have no taste?! No one has EVER gotten such a letter before and it was WASTED on a Troll who does not understand what he is missing out on)

Lownote actually does think Branch is pretty cool, but he's not into the Trolls who are TOO big of fans of his. I can't blame him, dating a superfan would be very weird. I think he elects to talk to Dante about it, who has a lot to say. Lownote gets out that he's kinda interested in Branch before Dante interrupts him.

"Interested? My dear friend the only interesting thing is your absolutely heartless reply to Branch's proposal! And now you have the audacity to say you are interested in him? Does your heart secretly harbor only the most cruelest of desires?! The shame you have brought to him is only matched by the shame you brought to yourself in the same stroke of a pen!"

Lownote is very confused until Dante explains that Branch asked Lownote out in Classical and Lownote's reply, while very kind to anyone looking from the other 5 tribes, was the classical equivalent to going 'ew why would you think you had a chance', and it was ONLY because Branch has experience with other tribes that he didn't take it to mean that.

Lownote drafts another reply/apology, this time with Dante looking over his shoulder, where he explains that he misunderstood the proposal and he's actually very interested if Branch would have him.

So you've joined Tumblr with a brand new blank blog! And then you end up getting blocked by everyone you follow, why is that?

Tumblr has a bot problem - blank blogs look like bot accounts and most bots are porn bots that post malicious links and images or videos. I've seen some truly horrendous content because of these kinds of accounts as have most other users here.

How do you show that you're a person and not a bot? Pretty simple - find something you like and reblog it! Something you find funny, a piece of fan art, a nicely made gif set, whatever you want. Tumblr doesn't have an algorithm, you've got to look for content yourself. Upload a pfp and a banner image as well!

This is not tiktok. You should not be censoring yourself if you make your own post, tumblr isn't going to shadowban you for cursing.

Reblogging is not reposting - a reblog is always attached to the original account it was from I promise you are not stealing it. reblogging is the only way a post gets seen! It's similar to a retweet.

You can add to someone's reblog as well, maybe someone made a joke and you think of a pun to go with it. Or maybe they're sharing some cool facts and you happen to know some more related cool facts. Or maybe it's a wholesome post - someone said they're sad and asked to see people's pets, then it'll be a huge reblog chain of cute animals.

Liking posts - does nothing to elevate the post, it's not like Instagram or tiktok or youtube. Think of a like as a bookmark you can come back to later. It's still a kind thing to do, to say "hey this is a good post!" but it's not going to help someone looking to advertise their art or attempting to boost a gofundme.

Tagging - this one is a bit more complex in some ways. But for the basic common courtesy, use tags that relate to the posts' content. let's say it's from a specific fandom, you could tag the show name, the characters, a ship name, and so on. Another example, if you make a piece of artwork that contains depictions of blood/gore it's good to tag "blood tw" and "gore tw" (tw stands for trigger warning). Ultimately though? You can also just reblog without tagging, that's also fine it's up to you!

for a lot of us, it's used as a form of non-permanent commentary. It's kind of like a whisper. and sometimes if that whisper is funny or makes a good point people will screenshot it and add it to a reblog.

This website is a blogging platform that you can use however you want to with the exception of posting explicit content (This is potentially getting changed but we don't know yet). You could curate a blog with one specific thing or you can just reblog whatever the hell you want. Follower count doesn't matter here and cannot be seen by anyone but you so don't feel like you have to meet some weird criteria and maintain an audience.

Anon I don't see misinformation. I'm familiar with these spaces on discord and on tumblr (I was in some of them sadly for a few years, with all the introject fictive hyperfixation alters you could think of, ama) and the other comments are accurate. I was on one server about a tv show, and a lot of people including me said they had alters of the different characters. I thought any time I visualised a character talking in my head it was an alter, because I didn't realise imagination could be that vivid. I sound so stupid even saying that lol. I tried to make people stop talking about certain ships, because I thought I had fictives of a certain character, and I thought people talking about that ship traumatized my alter of that character. I was just grossed out by the ship though, it wasn't traumatising. I milked the reactions I got because it was nice that other people had to accommodate me, I was more important than a lot of other people. A lot of different food words started to get banned because me and other people thought we were triggered by those too, they were foods that were common in other character names and things, so nobody knew what to talk about, and people either started censoring words or just not talking. After a while, I left because it got boring. Leaving was the only reason I realised what I did, and that I was partly responsible. After that I deleted my profile and made a new one with a new name because I was ashamed. I don't join servers that use certain bots and things now, because I don't want to slip back into that. I found some other discord and social media people to follow, and it's nice to talk about shows normally.

I cannot believe I saw my girl Elektra again and yes I would have cried and thrown up if they killed her. If Blade and Gambit are both getting a new movie where's Elektra's?? I say we riot. And I'm only a little bit kidding. Spider-Man needs a new mother figure after all. How about an Elektra/Jessica Drew team up? OMG I'm just realizing they could have put her in the canceled Shang-Chi film. Does the Hand never face off with the Ten Rings? You would think a couple of a martial artist gangs would have a rivalry. We could have been shipping Elektra and Xialing 😭

Okay actual movie thoughts

Yes the car scene was in fact a sex scene and I don't even think that's even debatable. You can't tell me Hugh Jackman threw his head back like that and groaned like he was fucking cumming and it wasn't an analogy for sex and then following it up with a pan away/sunset shot? It was 100% an ode to the many gay writers who hid their desire to penetrate another man through swords, guns, and fangs. Bram Stoker would be proud

Do not watch this movie if you're uncomfortable with inappropriate sexual touching, or language for that matter. Everyone's getting sexually assaulted and it's a joke every time, but at least they call it what it is I guess?

I feel like the amount of graphic sex jokes was to cover for the fact that they were told not to joke too much about drug use. Although choosing to joke about how they can't do coke was possibly my favorite joke, don't ask me why

They sure did let that little people joke in there though... yikes. Disney is really begging people with dwarfism to jump their asses this year

The weakest part of the film was definitely the villain dialog. I guess they didn't want any big plot twisty reveals because man these dudes came out monologing and like who asked? Nobody. Why are they talking so much?

I have a genuine love for Happy becoming the new Stan Lee cameo. I just love that man as a character and it feels right that he has a hand in everything.

I saw someone on here pouting about the photo of Tony and Peter together and how Peter's face was covered BUT ACTUALLY it's a running gag in the comics that Deadpool can't see Spider-Man's face or hear his name. Even if Peter takes his mask off right in front of him the "Marvel censors" hide it from Wade and I hope to god that's why they covered it because it'll be so damn funny if and when they're both in a film together

Speaking of funny, the comedy in this film was so well done. They poured most of the jokes out in the first act and left room for the movie and the characters to be taken seriously. I'm here praying that the other Marvel writers take notes because while I'm a very emotional person who requires comic relief to get through most movies without crying, we all know the humor in Marvel films is getting to be a bit much.

I was holding my breath during the big team up thinking it was going to be Deadpool 2/Suicide Squad all over again, but they actually got to have their hero moment and it was beautiful.

But WTF? Why did Blade and Gambit get a big moment where they show off their skills but Elektra gets half the screen time during the fight and her moment is just her kicking someone? She has magic ninja abilities?? She could have also done something cool?? The martial arts stuff was cool in her stand alone film, it doesn't impress in a crowd of people who know how to fight. At least let her skillfully throw her sais or something, damn.

And how good is Channing Tatum as Gambit? I'm not a Channing Tatum fan or anything, but damn does he nail it.

NICEPOOL I love Nicepool, I have no idea what Deadpool variants exist in the comics because I actually hate multiverse stuff that isn't spiderverse, BUT it's canon that if Deadpool were to stop killing people that he would become pretty again and I love that there's a universe where's he just insanely nice and handsome mostly because I don't think they would ever make a Spider-Man/Deadpool film so at least we acknowledged that this happens, sorta, they don't really talk about why he's pretty and our Deadpool isn't

I love how it was a Deadpool film, but also everyone got their moment. It was barely even about him. He was the vehicle through which Wolverine and Nova and Laura got to tell their stories and it worked really well

I also feel like Wade getting Johnny killed felt weird and mildly out of character. He's an asshole, not a sadist. There's a big difference. If they wanted him dead to get rid of Chris Evans and still have their cameo, it didn't have to be Wade's fault

Wade and Logan recognizing Chris's face as belonging to Steve also sets a precedent for RDJ playing Doom. (It also means that yes people in universe will recognize him and angst will happen, I'm still crossing my fingers that there's multiple Dooms)

I give the whole thing a 4/5 had a good time, few complaints

Search, Tags, and Tumblr

Tumblr's search functions are notoriously weird, but there's a few common things to know about how it works in conjunction with Tagging. First things first:

-Tags are for searching but also personal blog organization as desired. This is why some folks have weird/funny personal use tags. Tags can use dashes and spaces, but not regular double quote marks ("), though single marks are fine (').

-Tag for what's in the post; adding other, unrelated tags "for visibility" is against Tumblr's TOS and gets you reported for Spam!

Example: if you make a post for your new Clive Rosfield screenshots, make sure you're only tagging terms relevant to Final Fantasy XVI and Clive Rosfield (and any personal organizing tags like "screenshots"); don't add tags like "Star Wars" and "SpongeBob", as Clive has nothing to do with those!

-Tag without censoring words! We use filters/blacklists here to avoid things we don't want to see. Can also work for words in the body of a post. There's no rules here against using "kill" or "death" or other terms defining common human experiences determined "too negative/dangerous" on other sites (stay civil to each other).

-If you do alt-spell things, it's only in the body of a post and usually when it's dislike of a fandom thing as a courtesy to those enjoyers. If I make a shipping post and say, for example, "I can't stand R3y|o", that's when I want to use weird spelling and symbols--and no common tags for that fandom! If you do use tags for organizing, keep it to things like "#anti (thing) or "#(thing) critical", again spelled correctly for others' blacklisting purposes and to keep it out of the Reylo Search and Tags so those fans can enjoy their ship without seeing negativity. Because...

-General Search pulls from Tags and Also terms found in the body of a post. If I just put "Thancred" in the Search bar at the top of the page, it'll show me any and all posts with "Thancred" in them, including 1) if the name is in the body of the post, 2) if the name is in a tag that's a sentence/includes other words, and 3) even if not tagged for Thancred.

This caused some wank a couple years back for certain fans when someone tagged a lascivious picture set with what they knew was a triggery NOTP for many...but they also put the characters' names in the post body, not realizing simply searching for either of those characters would pull it up (They also, IMO, should have put the images under a Read More to be doubly safe, for themselves and for others they knew might be upset stumbling onto said images, but the crux was not realizing how Tumblr Search worked).

-Tag Search specifically pulls from the tags; per Tumblr's info pages, the first 20 tags (out of 30 total allowed) now will show up in search. Common, consistent tags first are good for visibility. You can also Follow tags you want to keep track of; there's even a tab on your Dash for it.

-Reblogs do not show up in the searches, even with additions and new notes. However, a blacklist filter will catch tags put on the original post, even if the reblogger doesn't add it when it ends up on your Dash.

-You can also blacklist blog names/URLs. Think of it like Twitter's muting rather than a full block (though one can do that too, and should as needed).

Example: someone following Seanan McGuire doesn't like frogs, but she reblogs a lot of frogs. The follower blocked and blacklisted the blogs she often reblogs frogs from to minimize the number of frogs they see while still following a favorite author for her book info.

-If people ask you to tag a thing cuz it's a squick or full-on trigger, you can just do it, or you can politely say no; that's valid. It's up to that person then to decide if they want to blacklist or unfollow or block or what. Just be civil either and both ways.

In summary: if you're talking about bunnies cuz you took pictures at the local farm show, just write "bunnies" normally in the body and/or tags of the post, so anyone with "bunnies" blacklisted can avoid it--and folks who want to see cute pics of bunnies can find it!

Even if you use proper tags, or no tags, or only use alternate spellings in the post body to keep things out of the tags/searches, consider still using a Read More as a last line of courtesy to any followers or random folks you don't want to catch in the crossfire. Also consider hiding your blog from Search results, and/or Private posts.

Tumblr's Help Center (On Desktop browser, go to the "About" link, and then the "Resources" menu; on Mobile App, go to Account settings, General settings, scroll down to "Help" under "Account") has further info about Searches and Tagging (and everything else!), and as that info changes, it's a good idea to keep track of those page updates, as well as the @changes blog to keep track of new updates, bugs, recent fixes, and upcoming info.

I think the problem you are having with all the replies, is you're using the ship name (g h 0 u I c y, i'm censoring it as well, because tumblr search also searches anon question content) and your posts are literally showing up in the tag for shippers who are just minding their own business trying to look for content, only to be met with some really heavy accusations of condoning abuse/racism. Obviously this upsets them. If you don't want to get replies from Those People, you should be mindful that you're not using the space that they use to look at the ship.

I never said that I was accusing these people of CONDONING abuse or racism?? I said the ship was abusive and that there could be underlying/subconscious racism. Black love interests have always been seen as less desirable by fans and get pushed aside for a white character. Idrc if me saying that offends people. pos!DogDay;; > This is the DogDay we see in-game but in a more "possessed" state and is far more hostile than ani!DogDay. pos!DogDay is named this way due to "possessed!DogDay"... a little on the nose ain't it? ☀ This DogDay is within the concept of the critter Smiling Friends (the small little guys!) possessing DogDay and creating a 'follower' of Prototype himself. He can seem sweet but is extremely hostile underneath the smiling exterior. regarding your recent post (sorry to see you leave the fandom, but I totally understand your reasons and wish you all the best in what you do next) - your statement about the fandom having a lot of big names who are known predators worried me a bit, I’ve only heard about the ex/jr person and thought that was it, and now I’m wondering if I’ve unknowingly supported anyone similar. i guess I’m asking if there are any other known creators here that we should also steer clear of?

Heya, for the nature of this answer, i'll be censoring it. I'll just go through the gyst of it

To anyone seeing this post dont open it if you're sensitive to these topics

most of the drama unfolded on the twitter side of the fandom. If you didnt know already, ReyGGTV has been a known problematic creator in recent years, theres a whole list of things he's done that you can find online if you're curious. Though these days a lot of newer fans dont know what he's done or the drama has since died down since it unfolded a few years ago, but he's still someone to be cautious of imo. I didnt personally witness his drama, but have a lot of info from people who did.

Tristan Zepeda, a fairly prolific fanartist and writer was recently outted a few weeks ago as being a predator, sending nsfw content to a minor and having roleplay s3x with the Hilda chatbot on hildacord, as he confessed to it all on twitter before shortly deleting his account. Apparently he's currently trying to rebrand and return to the community under a new username "atom"

And Hildaboo (very known fanartist) was going around trying to tell everyone to stay quiet about the predator situation in attempt to "save the fandom". They would rather everyone sweep the predator issue under the rug and let them run rampent and hurt other young fans than "create drama and kill the fandom". I believe Hildaboo has since made a statement regarding it, but this was only after i had to have a whole conversation with them on why telling everyone to be quiet and ignore the predators to keep the fandom alive is in fact, a terrible thing to do. I really don't think i should have had to have this conversation with a grown adult.

And of course, the whole ExJr incident. He was a good friend of mine, and it devestated me when i found out what he'd done. Which, long story short, he sent nsfw content to and had sexual roleplays with a 12 year old, when he was in his 20s. He also copied and stole mine and another friend's character designs without crediting us.

There have also been smaller fanartists around twitter that just flat out draw cp of the main Hilda trio and also ship adults and children together (example; there is a lot of Kaisa x David shipping) and tbh i was sick of seeing it, considering a good chunk of the people around them thought this was completely okay. I was also chased away from the reddit community for a while due to lgbtq+ art and dm'd threats and slurs.

Thoughts While Watching Gilmore Girls, Season 2, Episode 15, Part 1 (Lost and Found, Aka The One Where Rory Loses Dean's Shitty Bracelet)

It has been over two months since my last TWWGG post. What has been keeping me from moving on, you may ask? What is the immovable roadblock that keeps slowing my progress? What has kept me from my adoring public (about 5 readers) for two months? It starts with Lor and ends with Elai. We open with a scene of said Annoying Roadblock nursing her bandaged hand, an injury sustained while trying to clean her gutters. Rory suggests they should hire someone, but Lorelai scoffs at the expense. About 10 seconds earlier we learned she was itching to eat some pancakes, presumably at Luke's, a money-costing ritual she likely repeats at least twice a day or more every single day. But no money to hire someone to muck the gutters or squash her termites. Well, I guess I'll let her off on this one because she never pays Luke for her food anyway. Let it be known that my mind is a steel trap and there are certain things I never forget...and one thing I never forgot is Lorelai's reaction to the horrifying suggestion that Jess might come to her home and alleviate the burden of performing some manual labor that she clearly is unfit to do herself.

Almost in one breath, Luke admits he doesn't pay Jess enough to work for him AND he "hates the thought of what else he might do to get money if you don't give him the work" AND "You don't have to pay him as much as you would someone else, you save money, he keeps busy." Alright, enough. We're only 7 minutes in to this wretched episode, so let's run down the recap of just minutes 5-6: We've heard implications that: 1) Jess' uncle outright admits he doesn't pay him enough for spending most of his free time after school working for him 2) Even though his uncle doesn't pay him enough, if he takes another job doing grueling manual labor like cleaning gutters, they don't have to pay him enough either, it only matters that he "keeps busy". He's almost 18 with a driver's license, he's not a fourth grader with a lemonade stand. 3) No one would notice or care if Jess was dead until his corpse was rotting under a pile of boxes for weeks 4) the only way Jess knows how to make money is by doing illegal, unspecificed things. You just readily admitted you don't pay him enough to do work that's (borderline) legal anyway so who can blame him? 5) For some reason Lorelai doesn't think he's worthy enough to slop her gutters This is where my Gilmore Girls reboot would take a turn into horror movie territory, something like The Hollow: Mariano's Revenge. Jess goes on a killing rampage. (Rory is fine and a few other select people may be spared) Jess doesn't go to jail because the judge and jury won't convinct his innocent face and the jury understands the people of The Hollow deserved it. Rory and Jess can go on to build new lives somewhere else. A bulldozer comes through and razes the entire town. End of show. Lorelai stammers and sputters at the suggestion that Jess could clean her gutters and makes up excuses that she has other people lined up for the job and scurries out of the diner with Rory. Please, I must know the reason Jess can't clean your gutters or visit your home, it's unclear where her discomfort lies because it's nonsense. What, are you worried he's gonna steal something if he visits? What's he gonna take? The clown pillow? An box of off-brand poptarts? No, it wil just be some Quarter On A String that Dean gifted Rory and that she doesn't even care is missing.

Lorelai says a lot of things she doesn't mean. "I'll give Jess a chance", "I'll stop sleeping with Dean", "I won't keep spending our meager life savings on pancakes."

I continue to feel pity for Rory that she constantly has to defend him against this exhausting nonsense. What makes my blood pressure rise higher? Any interaction with Dean, or a long exchange between Rory and Lorelai where Lorelai is trying to explain to Rory that Jess makes her "uncomfortable"? And Rory has to convince Lorelai to give Jess a chance. Again. Honestly right now I would welcome Dean parachuting into the scene and starting some different bullshit as only he can. I hate this.

I've said it before and I'll say it again because why not: Whenever Lorelai boycotts Luke's Diner because there's some kind of discomfort between them (which is frequently) Lorelai won't eat at any other restaurant so Rory starves. Either he needed music to drown out some awful thing that was happening to his mother or it was to drown out what was happening outside his home (street violence?) and most likely it was both. At the very least, I think it was a distraction so he could fall asleep without thinking about all the turmoil going on around him. Instead he's now suffering in a different, quieter kind of hell called Stars Hollow where some witchy bitchy woman named Lorelai and her small town minions have put a target on his back for no reason. Luke goes on a frustrated rant about the messy state of the Danes Mariano home, waking Baby from his sleep. I do delight in a good Frustrated Luke Danes rant. It's one of the few things keeping me sane while trying to get through the wretched hell that is the 2nd half of season 2. He tells Jess that tomorrow morning they're moving out and finding a new place (lies). Part 2 idk when. Maybe in another 2 months.

favorite thing about them: oh man. i think he's a really unique character. he's only like 2% justified in his anger and he makes it everyone else's problem. he's never depicted as anything BUT evil. the shinobi world is insane right? toddlers are raised as soldiers the second they can hold a knife. and so was he, no different from the rest of them. and the series Doesn't like to push that blame onto people, really early on you hear about all the awful things zabuza did and at the end of their battle he still dies as a respectable shinobi. BUT from start to end with hidan he is ONLY bad. he's doing this for FUN he's not doing it for a mission, he's not doing it because he needs to do it to survive like it was NEVER in question that this guy is JUST EVIL. but you CAN find these human sides to him. he has a Real bond with kakuzu, like they Actually are concerned for each other. in Akatsuki Hiden he meets a kid and he forms a bond with That Kid to the point of giving him funeral rites (burial rites?) when he dies. not as a sacrifice but as someone he cared about. when his village turned on him and he felt REAL betrayal. if he didn't care about them to some extent, he wouldn't still be mad about it. it's just FASCINATING.

least favorite thing about them: i don't even think there's anything i don't like about him. he's so fucking annoying and if i had to deal with him i'd try to kill him too BUT because i don't have to deal with him he's my best friend i like him SO much

AND if i can use the book - i like this, it's less about the line itself but more about the repetition of it. like this is how they start every fight and i just think that's delightful

HOWEVER kisame is the easiest akatsuki member to get along with and hidan is basically impossible to get along with. i think it's a good match.

You know I got to ask you about the main bois. Yakou and Vivia

Since, I'm feelin' extra, I'll talk about both of them separately and then talk about the ship!

First up, the man, the myth, the legend(27): Yakou! For my first impression of him, why not go back to the source? This is the first message I wrote about him when his name and summary was revealed. Suffice to say, I was very excited.

Yakou instantly hooked me and I had plenty to enjoy about him even before the game released. I got so frustrated that Yakou was being censored out of the English character trailers since Nintendo said 'nuh uh,' but I'm glad Chunsoft said 'fym nuh uh' and shared voice clips of Yakou on Twitter. I fought so hard against the theories that Yakou would die, too (but look where that got me... in anime Resident Evil). He was my favorite since day one!

As for headcanons, I know I've shared a few, so I'll do a lightning round! Yakou owns a retro gaming console; he's still got the mixology skills down pat; he knew how to do parkour in his youth, and can sometimes pull off tricks nowadays (heavy emphasis on sometimes, he is renowned for failing horribly a grand majority of the time); he writes his own silly editor's notes in the books he buys; he makes up tall tales about his raincoat's decals and his scars; he's a stomach sleeper and snores loudly; he has a very good mental map, even for places he's rarely been to, he's the go-to 'ask me for directions' guy.

As for complaints n praises, y'all know how I've sang to the rooftops about how Yakou is what I believe to be one of Kodaka's best written characters he's ever made. The only complaint I genuinely have is that he doesn't get more screentime. I would've loved more bonding time with him n the detectives, not just Yuma. I wish he was the one who told Yuma that he's doing the right thing as a detective instead of Kurumi, even if it would be interlaced with plenty of scolding for Yuma getting himself in trouble with the peacekeepers yet again.

And my overall opinion shouldn't be a surprise. He's my number one favorite in Rain Code, y'all know the drill.

Next order of business is Vivia! My first impression of him started out before he even had a name. There were illustrations of him released before his name was revealed, so I ended up nicknaming him 'Radioactive' cause his design looked like the physical embodiment of Radioactive by Imagine Dragons at the time (but I know not to disrespect him like that anymore). When his name and the photo of him laying under the piano was finally shared, me and my boyfriend collectively adored him.

All it took was that one piano image to make me spiral into an unshakeable association with the instrument for Vivia.

A perfect transition into talking about headcanons for Vivia, lightning round two! He plays piano to improve his self-expression; he is the equivalent of a cat in a human body; he can fit into places he shouldn't be; he can purr cause I said so; he prefers to sleep with candlelight due to paranoia caused by his Forte; he's the eldest brother out of his family; he knows how to care for basic wounds cause he was the one who supported his brothers' when they were injured from roughhousing.

I don't necessarily have any complaints about Vivia either. Other than the obvious 'gimme more content,' he's a solid character! He's a great rival and assistant for chapter 4, and his DLC is my favorite of the bunch! His Forte is the most interesting of the Master Detectives shown so far, and there's lots of room for growth if he were to appear in a sequel.

Overall opinion: second favorite for plenty of reasons as shown here and in many of my other posts!

Now I shall discuss Viviakou! I'm very active in shipping them, writing up content for them and thinking about them on the daily. It helps that me n my boyfriend also ramble about them often, cause they just like us frfr. We're both grateful it's a pretty darn popular ship, cause the fanart and fics fuel us.

The third and final headcanon lightning round! Yakou picks up guitar to duet with Vivia's piano; Vivia got the umbrella tattoo in Kanai Ward after the events of his DLC as a symbol of them protecting one another; Vivia will go out of his way to come up with the most poetic pet names of all time, while Yakou keeps it short n simple, which can be just as effective since he likes to use them only for their more intimate moments; Yakou is the ocean to Vivia's moon; they write notes to each other in the books they borrow from one another; they have those long distance couple bracelets that when one of the wearers touches it, it sends a signal to the other person, which is something they like to do when Vivia's at the agency and Yakou's out investigating or vice versa.

Overall opinion: Perfect ship for all my fluff and angst needs. They feel like the natural evolution of Komahina to me. Am I the only one who thinks that?

My life as a artist and inspiration for making fanart!

It all started when i was 3, i remember ive been drawing a lot of stickmans cuz they just were very easy to draw and it was like some kind of "stickman stories or fantasy idk?" And i seen to end up enjoying it but not only that, i would later draw sirens and other stuff i was fascinated to, and i kept drawing stickmans until later on i then would finally get my braincells to regenerate and make myself more mature, i stopped drawing stickmans all the time, i started to get into oc! I saw that video but i didnt clicked on it cuz idk whats about to happen there, i was just more into anime and i didnt know what that video was, it was like somekind of randon animation, that was my first thing i saw something related to omori before joining the fandom and i saw it to this day and i was like "wait that video looks familiar to me" it was back in 2021 when i saw it and omori was like 1 years old, but then after joining the fandom after watching a mclovin video but omori version and i seen to enjoy the fandon, i was a big kny fan by the time, and theres was very popular stuff going on in the fandom, but when did i got into omori fanart? It all started with the first ever one i posted, i originally used it for my art class i then i did not recognize.... I actually made a actual omori fanart and that surprised me! So then i decided to make more! And it made me happy and even thanks to art class, it also helped me more! And it was a great piece of thing I will ever do I will still make art to this day and thats where are are today!

So I'm getting really frustrated (at the situation, not at individual people! Sorry to vague right after getting a request, I was gonna make this post like a week ago) that multiple people have asked me not to tag Bro/Cal reblogs as Stridercest.

Stridercest does not mean incest, it means Strider/Strider relationship. I'm tagging it for followers who don't want to see Strider/Strider at all (or for those who do, too, I guess). On MY blog, it has NO bearing on whether or not something is incest. Lil Cal has been a Strider since Day 1 to me, way before any of the events after Act 6, as a pure vanilla puppet. A Strider by marriage, in my opinion. But I'm not opposed to calculating the amount of Strider that got put in Lil Cal, as I've done before. You also have Dirk/Hal which is also Stridercest, but not incest (at least in canon, sometimes it is incest in fan depictions). Or Guardiancest, which I don't think counts as incest in canon either (but usually always is in fan depictions). Even selfcest between one Strider (beta!Dave/beta!Dave in a time travel situation, for example) is still gonna be Stridercest to me.

The ONLY Stridercest I add the specific ship tag for is Bro/Cal, because that's otp5eva for me, separate from any other Strider stuff (Stridercest probably doesn't even make top 3 HS ships for me). Everything else only gets the blanket Stridercest in reblogs, because I already tag a lot, I don't have the energy to add nuanced tags for weird Strider situations, and whether or not that constitutes incest, or which version of a character it is, especially when the artist/authors don't usually make the difference explicitly stated in their own caption/tags, and sometimes it's vague on purpose! (I'm currently writing a fic where Bro and Dirk are the same person! I'm not gonna make the distinction a big deal.)

It's mostly frustrating because then I have to decide if untagging the relationship as Stridercest is going to make someone else following me uncomfortable who will then see it untagged.

Going forth, I am going to delete whatever reblog I made if I get this request from someone else again. I'm trying to remember names, so I don't reblog any future content that would conflict with their requests, but this has already happened with three people in like the past two weeks. Had to block one person for telling me to die because I tagged "Stridercest" on the post preventatively, as usual, because I care about tagging for my followers. (I literally checked their blog like 3 times to make sure they didn't have a DNI pinned, and I still got told to die for my efforts lmao.)

Literally, please just DM me privately (thank you to the other people who did, sorry for the trouble!), and I will either delete the reblog, or block you if you request that. I'm not TRYING to make people uncomfortable, which is the whole reason why I tag it to begin with.

So, I'm not un-tagging shit anymore, it's delete only from now on. I'm not going against my own blog rules I set both to try and accommodate my followers, and to make searching my blog easier for myself. (Used to not tag anything from like 2011-2016 or later, and I'm still in the process of back-tagging everything, since it's been so frustrating to find old fandom posts.)

I will start by saying that I don’t really personally ship them (although I enjoy it when other do, and I appreciate their dynamic) but I’ll answer these the best I can.

Did any of their friends or family want them to get together?

Florida canonically (?) writes fanfiction about them, so he totally ships it if only for the chaos potential. I feel like many of the other states are also like, “JUST [CENSORED] KISS ALREADY AND SAVE US THE AGGREVATION!”

Who felt romantic feelings first?

Okay, so they’re both total hopeless romantics at heart, but Cali is slightly more in-touch with his feelings so he would definitely be the first to notice something. Texas would forever deny DENY DENY.

What was their first kiss like?

I feel like it would be cliché but super on-brand if it was accidental somehow. I have no idea how it would happen, but somehow they end up kissing and Texas likes it and can’t stop thinking about it but refuses to admit it. And Cali is a little shit and gloats about how flustered Texas gets when he thinks about it. He would keep bringing it up just to see how red Texas’ face gets.

Who whispers inappropriate things in the other’s ear?

Cali, because as previously noted, he is a little shit. He’s always trying to make Texas as flustered as possible. He knows exactly what to say to get a reaction out of him. It’s a bit of an ego trip for him to have that kind of power over him because IMO it’s literally impossible for Cali to do anything without bringing his ego into it. And vice versa.

Who’s better at comforting the other?

They both have their moments. In times of real, genuine trouble (like in that *one* Table News, you know the one) they instantly enter Supportive Partner Mode. Cali might go a little bit overboard with “therapist talk” sometimes, trying to psychoanalyze Texas’ every negative emotion and try to find a solution to every problem, when all Texas needs is a shoulder to cry on and someone to listen to him rant. Likewise, Texas doesn’t always know how to deal with Cali when he’s upset because he’s not the best at the whole “emotional expression” thing, and Cali sometimes has all of the emotions, all at the same time. But they try their best to understand each other.

What songs apply to their relationship?

Honestly I need to work on this a bit more; I definitely don’t have as many songs as I should, but here’s few that remind me of them for some reason:

“Say My Name” by David Guetta

Lots of old outlaw country-type songs, but especially “Born and Raised in Black and White” by the Highwaymen (there are two characters in this song: I’ll leave it up to interpretation which one is which.)

Who’s more likely to convince the other to come back to sleep in the morning?

I HC Cali as an obnoxious morning person (like even despite the time zone differences he’s up earlier than everyone else and hyped up on several cups of coffee and terrifyingly intense about his morning routine). So Texas is always trying to convince him to come back and just chill out for a bit.

Who’s the better cook?

It depends on what they’re making! Texas knows what all of Cali’s “guilty pleasures” are and he loves baking sweet treats. He’s always the one doing the BBQ-ing and making super dense comfort foods. He also makes a lot of Tex-Mex type stuff. He tends to stick with the same kinds of foods that he’s familiar with and knows he’s good at making. He rarely branches out to different recipes. Cali, on the other hand, is the experimental chef. He will try literally anything and doesn’t always succeed. Sometimes Texas has to step in to keep him from burning down the kitchen while trying to blow torch a crème brulee or something. Cali is prone to fad diets (which can be super unhealthy) and so Texas has to deal with his constant experimenting with substitutions and workarounds for ingredients he “can’t” have. And then when Cali’s “experiments” end up tasting awful, he bakes cookies and they cuddle and watch movies on the couch.
