You were spinning Grogu around and around, slow side steps with him held in the air. His little hands were spread out, and his ears wiggled.
He leaned against the porch, watching you dance step along the stream, spinning and dipping Grogu up and down and round and round.
When you hear music, it's like the galaxy disappeared, and the only thing allowed is the melody.
Djarin wishes he could hear what you did. He's certain Grogu can — his son moves and reacts to it, too.
It's yours and Grogu's connection.
You smiled at him when the next turn had you facing him.
"He returns."
Grogu gurgles, happy sounds, as you walk towards him with bopping steps.
"I'd been gone for two hours." He reached for Grogu.
"Two long hours, though. It was quiet — too many hours." Your eyelids open and drop as you sway your head back and forth, "so we danced."
Grogu followed the movement with his large eyes.
Djarin felt his brow furrow, "You weren't asleep last night, were you?"
You wore Djarin out with the hours you kept.
Galaxy filled eyes looked off in the distance, your body still swaying side to side, "I dreamed of a large planet, frozen, rays of red that fill the skies."
Dank Ferrick.
He'd gotten back in time.
You wouldn't have left Grogu. He'd trusted you, but a few hours more, and you'd be gone the moment Grogu was in his arms.
The trips helped you, he'd been thankful the first time Bo-Katan went with you and explained the experience in a way you couldn't have.
If he'd taken too long, your galaxy would have gone too far for you to watch you leave — he'd never have time to call Bo-Katan for a favor.
(He'd never say this outloud, but he wonders what would have happened to you if Karga hadn't asked him for help.)
"He's been fed." You leaned down to kiss Grogu between the ears.
"He returns to class in three days, right?"
You blinked, "Four."
Djarin nodded, "I'll call Bo-katan. Incase you forget."
A dreamy smile, "I always forget."
Grogu cooed and shook his head from side to side.
"He has a point."
"You spend too much time together — you need more friends."
Djarin lifted his shoulders, "I think I'll be okay."
Another far-off look before you walked back inside, and he sat Grogu in front of the creek and went to unload the speeder

Can I also go back a second to Seeing Red and the scene where Dawn visits Spike in his crept?
I think that is a very bad arse thing to do. I think she's also the only one who goes to him and tries to understand him, while at the same time making it very clear what she thinks about his behavior. Not really about him as a person, but about his behavior and how it affects her sister.
She's always looked up to Spike, seeing him as her big brother almost. You can feel her disappointment when she informs Spike that he has succeeded in making her sister upset/sad.
And just her asking the question 'do you love her'? At this point Spike is still a vampire, so he technically doesn't have a soul, and yet... Maybe it's teenage naivety and misplaced hope but I've always found that an important moment and an important question.
And well, Spike has the worst poker face so he's bad at denying it. At least to him, it's love. (Like I mentioned before maybe in a twisted form, he is a vampire after all, but love to him.)
Being 35 years old now I have a lot more understanding and patience for Dawn and I think the writers could have written her much, much better. There was so much potential there (see what I did?), but they only wrote her as weak and crying and nagging all the time. But with moments like this you see she could have been so much more, dammit writers! (Or dammit Joss? Probably Joss.)

More Thoughts on Ex Machina
Researched on Ex Machina because I wanted to clarify my own analysis and further expound upon that. And I am sticking with my original understanding. Nathan is an arrogant asshole, but the ending is all on Caleb. You can argue some of that is acted out to really sell his plan to make him the villain, to further convince Caleb to help Ava or not.
But Ava succeeded in manipulating him to get out, proving Nathan right in every way from his revised turning test, the one he lied about Ava using him to get out, but also getting Nathan killed in the process.
Nathan said he was picked because he had no family or intimate relationships, but all of that is just a long way of saying Caleb is lonely, and his loneliness got them both killed. And I guess Ava proved she is “human.” But I kinda hate AI, so I never felt sorry for her or all the other robots. Them getting torn apart did nothing for me. I’m sorry.
I am mad as hell that Caleb let a robot get to him like that. Nathan shouldn’t have been building an AI robot in the first place. And he should not have underestimated the power of a lonely weak man. He can barely handle a regular woman let alone a super manipulative pretty robot. I know you’re a genius and all, and the only person capable of it, but no. Humanity does not need that shit.
While the movie is ultimately about adding to the argument of if we need AI and the consequences of what will happen when they in the world. And it’s about their rights as actualities human beings and their right to agency once they gain conscious. So I guess I am AI racist or something because we do not need to give fucking robots human rights. Keep those things unconscious!
Thank you for reading if you made it this far!!
