Remember these are all HEADCANONS and me just being silly and having fun projecting on my fav lol

- that grey jacket she’s always wearing? That’s her comfort clothing item why do you think she’s still got it in double exposure

- even ever since she was really young Max has always been a picky eater bc of dealing with food textures and generally not liking a lot of things. Chloe always tried to make sure her mom bought things that Max liked so she could always have stuff to give her no matter what

- Max doesn’t really know how to like. Enter group discussions, it’s a lot easier for her to talk to people if it’s either one on one and with someone she’s familiar or comfortable with, she knows what she’s gonna say to someone before going in (like “I’m going to go up to Kate and check in on her” or “I’m going to go up to Brooke and ask about her drone”), or it’s someone talking to her and asking her questions, so when it’s people just generally chatting in a group she usually gets left out cus she doesn’t know how to jump in

- loud noises usually overstimulate her (vortex club party was hell) and growing up one of the more common times that occurred was when it stormed outside :) [which still held true throughout the game :))] post sacrifice Arcadia Bay ending she just kinda completely shut down in Chloe’s truck for a long while through a mix of it and the emotions from everything

- aside from Chloe, Kate was the first person Max found who actively listened to and engaged in her infodumping. During their first few tea hangout sessions she’d find herself accidentally going on about photography and stop herself, and every time Kate would encourage her to keep going cus she enjoyed hearing about it (ultimate Loves to yap + loves to listen duo)

- a lot of the time when Max shuts down she ends up going nonverbal for long periods of time and Chloe is the only one who can translate what she’s trying to communicate lmao. Everyone else, while they mean well, tend to just get confused so if she’s like with Kate or Warren when it happens they’ll just be like “shit time to track down Chloe”

- Chloe’s hair is one of her favorite things to mess with and play with cus she loves the sensation of running her hands through it, so when she’s overwhelmed Chloe will just take off her beanie and let Max run her hands through her hair for as long as she needs

- The Captain is her comfort plush which is why she brought him with her to Arcadia Bay. Usually she carries him around with her as much as she can but she didn’t wanna get made fun of for it at Blackwell so she started keeping him in her dorm. Post Sacrifice Arcadia Bay, she drags Chloe back to Blackwell before they leave so she can retrieve him from the rubble and starts carrying him with her everywhere again. Post Sacrifice Chloe she just starts carrying him with her everywhere at School without really worrying about what people will think, and everyone just doesn’t say anything cus they can tell she needs it.

- Max relies on music a LOT to block out the world when everything is too much. Chloe knows this and when she’s not using her earbuds to do it alone, will always offer to sit quietly and listen with her if she wants

- Warren Graham I know what you are /ref him and Max infodump about nerdy movies together almost every chance they get and sometimes they have to be pried apart in the halls to get them to go to class bc they will go on for hours if left alone to

- going back to that “Max struggles with conversation in groups” point, if said convos are happening in the photography classroom whether it’s a “class discuss this” moment or a group project, Kate will always try her best to get Max included in ways that work for her like asking for her thoughts or just pulling herself away from the group to chat with Max one on one

- girlie needs very specific instructions for things because otherwise she will overthink what to do and get confused and this has screwed her over with so many class assignments but I think she’d get help from Kate in that regard because she’s the only one she’s not anxious about asking if she knows what someone meant by something

Judai:

Anyone who knows me knows that I am a Yu-Gi-Oh fan. For whatever reason, this series imprinted on me when I was a child and I just never let it go. I've watched the original series, season 0, GX, 5Ds, and Arc V, as well as read the original manga, the GX manga, and the Arc V manga, as well as watched all the movies. The point is: I like Yu-Gi-Oh. There are people who like it more than me, that have watched all the series and what not, but I think I still like it an absurd amount. And out of all the protagonists I know, Judai is my favorite. He's just so lovable, you can't help but like him! He's goofy, he's reliable, he's fun, he has a descent into madness, he's gay, what more could you want in a shounen protagonist? Though being sleepy isn't a major part of him, it's more of a gag of him slacking in class and always going to sleep, it's still super funny and I'm a little sad that he lost in Round 1, though I do like Sonic as well (who he lost to). Give the Slifer Slacker a chance!

Linhardt:

Considering Linhardt is my profile picture at the moment, I don't think I need to justify this too much. But I will anyway. Linhardt is the sleepy crest scholar. Although I will be the first to admit that I am not actually a Fire Emblem fan (and tbh I find the writing in Three Houses kind of bad) (sorry to those who enjoy it) I love Linhardt so much anyway. He's probably my favorite in that very large cost. I love that he's so unapologetically sleepy, like he doesn't care if you scold him to do work, he will do work on his own time. Not only that, but he's actually really smart and dedicated when he wants to be. Linny's friendship with Caspar is really nice, especially since I think someone needs to save Caspar from his awful dad & self-destructive tendencies. Plus, I really like his supports. Especially with Marianne, Hubert, and Edelgard. His supports with Dorothea in Three Hopes is also really nice.

Garfield:

It's Garfield. He's a classic comic. He's a classic meme. Little orange kitty. What more could you possibly want? I love Snoopy, but to be perfectly honest I think Garfield should have gotten as far as Snoopy.

Olruggio:

I'm a big Witch Hat Atelier fan and I love Olruggio. Like yes, I like Orufrey like everyone else, but I also just like Olruggio on his own. I like his scruffy little look and I love the fact that at first he is so intimating but almost immediately he's revealed to be a big softie. I love his light magic motif and I really think it's sweet that he made the thing to keep you warm when you sleep and gave it to the kids-- he's a FATHER. This man needs a nap fr though. IT'S OSAKA. Like!!! I don't even know how many clips and comics from Azumanga Daioh make the rounds around Tumblr, but specifically the ones about Osaka are amazing!!! Last December during finals I decided to read something light and fun while working and I chose Tanaka-kun is Always Listless because I remember the title from a few years ago when the anime came out and like I loved it SOOOOOO much. He's the ultimate sleepyboy and he's just so funny and relatable. He needs to be carried around by his best friend Ohta and his ultimate goal in life is to minimize as much effort as possible and he's always nodding off and he dislikes being a main character, instead wishing he was a background character... my favorite guy for real.

My first anime were Pokemon, Sailor Moon, Yu-Gi-Oh, Inuyasha and Dragon Ball Z. They were all on air at the same time when I was really little. The first time I saw DBZ was when I was like, five years old. I had just come home from my morning kindergarten class and my older sister was in like 4th grad at that point, so I was home alone with my dad for most of the school day, I would sit at the living room table and turn to Cartoon Network. Toonami used to come on in the afternoons and I think this might have been a marathon. The first episode of Dragon Ball Z I saw as the second episode when Raditz had touch down on earth. I was so into this man with crazy big hair fighting this guy in a orange jump suit and a green alien. It was fast paced and fun. After that, I was hooked. My sister didn't really care for anime other than Sailor Moon, so she wouldn't play fight with me, but I didn't care much. I'd just watch TV and pretend to be fighting with Goku

I'm from a small village of about 3,000 people. I'm black and there were other black families, white families, Hispanic families, I think my sister had a Japanese friend at some point. It was a very mixed community and everyone was welcome and everyone had their quirks. I was the only person that really watched anime, but I didn't feel ostracized. That is, until we moved to the south side of Chicago where it was, like, a 99% black community and people weren't so open minded. And the kids were mean in a way I wasn't used to. It was hard growing up as a black girl that liked anime. It's still kinda hard now in some places, but I held on to my favorite anime and they helped me make the right handful of friends.

I remember watching Resurrection F and getting so excited for Dragon Ball again. I remember being really little and my dad buying VHS tapes because they were Dragon Ball Z and I'd really want them. At that time we didn't know that the VHS tapes were waaaaaayyyy ahead of the US airing of the show so I was confused when one tape was somewhere in the Cell Saga and the androids were there lmao I remember not being super into Super, ironically. I remember laughing at 2AM with my friend like a year or two ago when I found out there were characters named Granola and the Heeters and losing our shit about it. I'm looking forward to Daima and I really want to play Sparking Zero when it comes out. I saw an article a week ago where Toriyama was talking about how excited he was to be working on some projects.

And then last night about ten minutes after I came in from work, another friend on discord told us Akira Toriyama passed away. And I was in disbelief, cuz ain't no way he died. He has so much going on and was looking forward to. And I think that's what made me cry after a while last night. He was so excited, so happy and so in love with what he did. Thinking about how he won't be able to work on these things anymore and see them come to fruition made me so sad. I was sad for his family for losing a loved one so suddenly and keeping that to themselves and grieving for a week before sharing it with the public. And then finally, I cried for that huge chunk of my life that was shaped by Akira Toriyama.

He didn't just make an anime or a cartoon, he made childhoods. He was an inspiration. So many mangaka we have today were influenced by him. Oda, my favorite manga and anime creator Kubo, Kishimoto. the creators of the big three, all point to Toriyama as their biggest inspiration. Without Toriyama, the world of anime would look very different. A lot of out lives would be very different. He is the reason why a lot of us began to draw, or learn Japanese, or get into making music. Yeah, we might not have known him personally, but he still touched our lives in some way, whether you are a Dragon Ball fan or a Chrono Trigger fan, or something else in between.

So, don't feel embarrassed or silly for mourning the death of a technical stranger. He did a lot for the medium and a lot for us fans. It's only natural to feel saddened when someone like that passes away. Same for when Kazuki Takahashi passed or Stan Lee. Yeah, I might have clowned Dragon Ball Super, but it didn't really matter. Toriyama was doing another victory lap at that point. He truly did it all. He did so much work that I think I can really say rest easy and in peace.

Thank you Akira Toriyama for creating a safe space for me when times were tough I faced really harsh bullies. When things were really looking down, I could think of Goku's goofy smile and turn on an episdoe of Dragon Ball Z and feel a little better. Thank you for being such an inspiration to myself and other creators I look up to. Thank you for working so hard, you did amazing work.

You wrote in a tag "This mod is probably not the kind of mod you think it is." If I may ask, what kind of mod is it?

There's a term I give to mods - like Authentic Adventure and Better Than Adventure - that go to some point in Minecraft's history and redesign for the player of that mod what Minecraft IS and what kind of balancing or mood it provides. The term is "revision mod". Usually I use it for mods that use old versions as a base. I particularly appreciate Authentic Adventure for making the cool move of using Release 1.2 as its base. Other people may have let you know before that these sorts of mods are like "alternate timeline" versions.

Noticeably Beta 1.8 has been seeing me call it a revision mod since probably the first day. Yet it's not nearly as feature-intensive by design as either of the other two revision mods I mentioned are. NBODE's level of conversion will probably never be anything like the sheer mega renovation of BTA. But beyond that, most words I could use probably won't work. I know what I call Noticeably Beta 1.8, I know that I describe it frequently as being a jar mod that edits bad stuff out of Beta 1.8 to bring out its strengths, but I don't know if just saying that alone will have me seeing the end of this question. It overrides a lot of base classes and is heavy on how I created it, but it's still just that: the simple premise of taking Beta 1.8 and making it good. With some extra ideas for blocks and the like put in that I think are good. Playing it online for the last 1.5 years, I think that model is quite fun. It's still kind of a basic version of Minecraft, like vanilla Beta was. It's "simple" and I didn't intend to go very far beyond that. So when the questions came in wondering if I was going to add dozens of random features to make the world more "alive" or something, like I was trying to make something close to Minecraft 1.5 mod packs in 2015, it bothered me. I don't even have the programming know-how to add 3 different kinds of crop and new tree variants yet. I also don't want to put more trees in the game because then suddenly it doesn't feel like you're playing alternate-timeline Beta 1.8, or rather, one that is pretty in the same way. Familiarity is key.

At this point, asking what kind of mod is it, if those two paragraphs weren't enough, is kind of a crapshoot question. Like trying to explain the difference between Yu-Gi-Oh and Magic: The Gathering to somebody who has an extensive fandom appreciation and knowledge of MTG and has never even seen any card game that differs from MTG as much as Yu-Gi-Oh does.

Saying what something is not is often much more tangible and meaningful than trying to say what it is. That was the point of me saying "It's not that kind of mod," before. The point was that the perception in mind was just completely mismatched with the thing I'm making's design philosophy. I hope this helps.

There's never a good time. This is also Sam's second secret boyfriend. Robby and Miguel can bond over how Sam didn't tell her dad about them, but meanwhile Kyler who tried to force himself on her got a fancy dinner and the benefit of the doubt multiple times. Kyler got more chances with Daniel then either Miguel or Robby and it's because Kyler is un-associated with Johnny.

Robby you just put the medal of honor on a rock? Where it could've gotten damaged or destroyed or washed away in the rains (cough what rains in LA?) But still. You shouldn't have left it out like an easter egg for someone to find.

I always assumed Robby left it in the dojo grounds so he didn't have to tell Sam Miguel came by, said sorry, and that he'd found it stolen and retrieved it.

But now I'm wondering if he did it not for his own relationship gain, not completely but to make it look like his father didn't send them to steal from Daniel, just mischief night level destruction/pranking. Because now it just looks like Daniel ran in, yelled about them stealing something, only for it to be right there in the garden. Which for the students who left Cobra Kai I wonder how that makes them feel, since they left, except maybe Chris, specifically because Daniel came in upset that Johnny's cobras had stolen the medal of honor and Johnny had said he didn't know what Daniel was talking about.

I mean there might've been other reasons they left, like Chris, but Chris is the only one in the group we see that left specifically because Hawk was bullying him. We don't see the other kids bully the rest of them that moved to Miyagi-do so it truly seems like they left because of the medal of honor theft.

I feel like this is also telling on where their focus is. Johnny's established his class, his students, and while for the most part he's not in their day to day and not paying attention to the mischief they're getting up to because he only knows that if someone tells him, he is paying attention to when they lose (Aisha after the Coyote Creek) or their interactions with each other (knowing when Kreese taught no mercy and upped the level versus like Tory and Miggy dating) Meanwhile Daniel's still trying to set up and balance a family and a full time job, so his focus is very specific yet splintered. He's not balancing properly. Like at first he wanted to have someone to spar with, because he saw Cobra Kai and that like re-triggered the need for karate. But then he got a student and then he saw Johnny was competing and that got him more amped to try and defend against/fight Cobra Kai and then he needed more students. Now he has more students and he's playing catch up, but it means the balance in his other parts of his life are crumbling. He's focused on catching up, teaching, defeating Cobra Kai that he's not noticing Robby and Sam, and he's not even paying attention to the time or his own share calendar unless something crashes and burns. He's rushing too much, not taking his time.

Daniel is trying to balance, but the main issue he's not getting is that he's not communicating. That requires working out a schedule and plan and balancing things with her.

This episode is so good from a Johnny and Miguel standpoint. Because it shows how strong their friendship is. Johnny doesn't have to say anything and Miguel knows exactly what he's looking for. "Super hot babes, dumb question." he got that from a look from Johnny.

He's been focusing on grand gestures, and has tried every one he can think of.

Coney island was one of the best days of Daniel's life. Daniel and his dad ate something from every booth on the row: Nathan's, cotton candy, frozen custard and then they rode the cyclone 5 times in a row. It was around when he was started getting sick. What Lucille remembers is the Wonder Wheel. Daniel remembers the amazing view, Lucille remembers the line where Mr. LaRusso held her hand and put his head on her right shoulder and told her that he loved her and she could feel his hair on her cheek.

But she pulls the 'it's not a date', which is what Miguel had called their date, and Sam had called their date. And it's also unfair to Robby because it is truly a date, just not a known date to anyone else.

Johnny catches Graham's slap? Push? whatever he was going to do with his arm, head buts him, knees him in the chest and knocks his legs out from under him. Truly I think the lady he was talking to would've loved to have watched that. It's interesting that Sam thinks Miguel came up to her again and she starts apologizing, completely not expecting Robby.

Robby got two complements and people think he's Dan Johnson, but I think it's meant to be Miami Vice's Don Johnson.

Tory body checks Sam and she falls so hard. Based on how this episode was going, if Tory had offered her a drink it'd have been flirting from Johnny's book. Tory also calls Sam princess.

Like yes, Tory started it, but Sam attacking her back while she's working in front of a bunch of people while Tory was able to play hers off as an accident wasn't the best move. Especially while she's carrying other peoples foods and drinks.

Hiroshi's friends just look at him as if he's crazy and look around the apartment, yet still find nothing.

"Guys? She's in the kitchen. Why are you looking around?" Hiroshi asks as he frowns back in confusion.

Kenichi approaches Hiroshi. "Dude… There's no one there. What are you on about, Hiroshi? You can just admit to having a fantasy gi-" Kenichi gets cut off by Hiroshi, who seems pissed.

"SHE ISN'T A FANTASY! Just look in the damn kitchen! She's there, I swear!"

They all look in the kitchen. "YUMIE! Say something, damnit!" Hiroshi shouts at Yumie, who is slightly startled. "U-Uhm… Hi," Yumie manages to say softly. "See?! She's there!" Hiroshi says as he turns to his friends.

Goro shakes his head, Kenichi looks at Hiroshi worriedly, and Jun stares at Hiroshi with his narrowed eyes.

"Dude, you're fuckin' insane or something. There's nobody there!" Goro snaps. "C'mon, we're getting outta here."

The others nod and with that, Hiroshi and Yumie are left alone.

"What the hell just happened?" Hiroshi asks, confused. "I-I don't know… I-I…" Yumie stammers as tears well up in her eyes.

Hiroshi breathes erratically as he sits down on the couch and buries his face in his hands. Yumie sits down next to him and looks at him sympathetically. She eventually quietly sobs.

"I-I'm sorry… I… I should've…"

Yumie stutters as she cries a bit. She feels so helpless and hugs Hiroshi in an attempt to comfort him and herself. Hiroshi closes his eyes and hugs her back as he leans back onto the couch.

"It's alright… It isn't your fault... It's my stupid friends' fault… I'm also sorry for yelling at you earlier… I was a bit… frustrated," Hiroshi softly says as Yumie is in his embrace. She softly nods as she rests her head on his chest.

The two then decide to spend the rest of the day binge-watching TV series while they eat a cup of noodles, chips, and other snacks. Hiroshi thinks about his friends once again.

"This is fun," Hiroshi thinks, "but what the hell got into their heads?"

The next day, Hiroshi wakes up and eats breakfast with Yumie. They go to the bus stop and enter the bus as it arrives right on time. Hiroshi and Yumie sit next to each other when Yumie notices a troubled expression on Hiroshi's face.

"Are you okay?" Yumie softly asks. Hiroshi looks up and softly nods, though he clearly looks slightly sad. "You can tell me."

Hiroshi remains silent for a bit before eventually opening up.

"I… I am a little worried about our encounter with my friends yesterday," Hiroshi softly says. "Oh…"

Yumie looks away and remains silent. Now she's in distress too.

The two get to school. Hiroshi says goodbye to Yumie as they part ways, each heading to their respective classes. As Hiroshi enters his first class, he can't help but feel nervous as his friends immediately stare and glare at him. Hiroshi gulps and doesn't take a seat next to them, but rather further away, all alone.

Hiroshi can feel his anxiety, exhaustion, and depression build up as he spends the whole day on his own. He feels slightly relieved as recess has started. Now he can spend time with Yumie. He spots Yumie not too far from him, so he approaches her.

"Hey, Yumie," Hiroshi says with a soft smile. "Hi," Yumie replies with a worried smile. "Are you okay?" "I'm… fine… Just a little tired," Hiroshi responds, caressing her left cheek with his right hand. He then leans in and pecks her right cheek, making her flustered and giggle.

"Hehe, stop it… People are watching," Yumie says as she looks away. "So what?" Hiroshi teases.

Meanwhile, Kenichi begrudgingly records Hiroshi and Yumie. Jun and Goro are with him, and they look at Hiroshi with contempt.

Hiroshi sits down at a table with Yumie and continues to have a conversation with her.

"So… How did your math test go? I never really asked," Hiroshi realises. "Oh, it went well. Got an A," Yumie proudly replies. "Well done, I got only a B." "It's still good. At least you put a lot of effort into studying too." "Yeah, but my parents aren't that laid-back with grades with my grades, y'know?" "Oh… Sorry… Just know that you did very well and that you can always improve."

Hiroshi softly smiles and nods. He's still oblivious to Kenichi and the others.

"Okay, that's all you had to record," Goro tells Kenichi. He quickly stops recording as Goro said. Goro smirks at Kenichi's obedience. "Good… Now post it on social media."

In my younger years I accepted that I would always be drawn to certain "cartoons/animations". I know some people say "It's just a cartoon" and dismiss the messages some of the series themselves have in a similar way that people dismiss religions. I gave myself the nickname colorfulwatcher in my tumblr account as a basis for this as the cartoons/anime that I was drawn to would usually be colorful. I know Yu-Gi-Oh! Is a prime example of this with the "outrageous" hair some characters have and I do remember a comment somewhere that said "I can't take it seriously with the outrageous hair".

So I would watch anime/cartoon that would be recommended to at least watch and I do prefer sub instead of dub.

When I was younger I didn't really like Yu-Gi-Oh! When advertise on TV. There was just something I didn't like and I don't know if it was the style. However one day I got to watch one episode and I was hooked to it. This was mainly DM back in the day when TV and not streaming was your only option. I don't remember what it was exactly that caught my attention but I was hooked.

Granted Kazuki Takahashi has sadly passed away but I will say that his legacy with Yu-Gi-Oh! To the point of making a trading card game that is still being sold to this day is awesome! Just seeing how much art has been created and converted to a trading card game is cool!

There is something that is charming about Yu-Gi-Oh! and there was a question posed by my Mom about "What will Yu-Gi-Oh! (And Pokemon) teach you about life?" Granted my Mom apologized as when I was younger I couldn't respond to this question and it made me sad and frustrated. As she plays Pokemon Go she said that she sees it brings a community as there were some friends she made through the game. Yu-Gi-Oh! Also brings a community as I remember when younger that I would trade some cards of Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh! With other classmates back when there would barely be TV and if you wished to see a series you'd have to watch it at a scheduled time.

I remember making my own 'OCs' and writing about them going on adventures with Pokemon as to be honest 'school could barely keep my attention'. Whenever there would be a class I started a habit of writing about my own 'OC' incorporating the knowledge that was passed down through classes and the place that this was most evident was in science class. I remember writing about how magicians could control their cells and even recently I did some worldbuilding with some of those OC's but eliminating the Pokemon. It's interesting where "Oh gosh they would be around their early 40s" and what to come up with would lead you too.

I had an idea about my OC's wanting to publish them as a children's book series. I even had the plan that each of the books would focus around the age of the characters when young to teenager to young adult and adult as there were 4. I didn't do it but I still have fun with my OC's thinking thoughts about what they would do at the moment to commissioning art of them.

In my adult years I thought why not have these 4 (later a 5th) be of different religious background. My main OC would be of "Christian connotations" as although they didn't partake of lent and things like easter mainly focused on the easter bunny. It's how I was raised in my early childhood as the only thing that was Christian connotation celebrated was Christmas. My second main would be pagan/witch culture. My third Jewish and my fourth Santeria. That way we can really say we are in the United States of America as there are people with different religions that can be friends in school.

These OC's have led me to certain adventures and I remember acting out/playing with 'dolls' with my OC more about the magic world and magicians because I always liked magic. Imagine my surprise when I started reading the Bible and in the old testament one thing mentioned by GOD to Moshe was that they will not do the same thing as magicians. I don't remember the exact verse but wizardry/magicians were mentioned in the Bible/Torah (as there were magicians/wizards in Egypt) and it really hit me as one of my favorite tropes was magic and how often it is portrayed in works of 'fiction'.

These days I barely watch as much anime/cartoons as before and I find it hard to choose something to watch when streaming in TV. I haven't forgotten how much Yu-Gi-Oh! and other animes made me feel as I still reblog some pokemon and yugioh artworks. The fanart posted by the brave artists still makes me feel some comfort sometimes to the subject.

However after Pokemon Sword and Shield experience with having to purchase Pokemon Home and the downloadable content I decided that it would be the last Pokemon Games I would experience. As a part of a higher calling I donated most of my Pokemon games and console to St. Jude. Trying to play a Pokemon game I don't find the same entertainment as I did when I was a child and I have learned that GOD does not like Pokemon and to be fair the whole Pokemon games sound like familiars which are also mentioned in the Bible/Torah. I remember how amazed I was that the Torah even mentions some things that are relevant in the present day.

Think back as far as you can. What is the first memory you have?

My first memory is from the time I injured my leg when it got stuck in the bicycle wheel. I was super super young, so I don't remember anything too clearly, only like a still image of a hospital corridor, no details or anything, just a flash of light at the end and some doors.

What is something you remember enjoying very much as a small child?

Making up my own stories or changing existing ones into my own version. I guess I was a fanfiction writer before I knew what that was lol.

How old were you, when you made your very first friend?

My mum and dad's friends had two daughters who were around my age, so we basically knew each other since birth and were always friends. We lost touch, sadly, but I'm happy to run into them.

Are you still friends with this person today?

Was there a story somebody read or told you that has stuck with you?

Yeah, my grandpa liked to tell me stories about his fake adventures with his village gang lol. There was one about a giant tree and a bird that lived on top, and his gang had to climb all the way to its nest to retrieve something. Or the one about an island of children-eating cannibals that my grandpa and his gang had to fight off during summer holidays. I loved those stories.

What is something you get an immense feeling of nostalgia from?

Usually music I listened to a decade or so ago. Like, songs I haven't heard in a long long time.

As a child, were you a sore loser or a sore winner?

I wasn't either, I think. I liked winning, but I don't think I rubbed it into people's faces or cried about losing.

Lol no. I never ever found it easy, but I think it's even harder in adulthood. Like, I'd have an easier time talking to people now than I did in the past, but everyone kind of has their own thing going on and it's rare to find someone who wants and has time for new friends.

How selfish almost everyone is, including myself. I genuinely believe a lot of people don't even do it on purpose, but yeah.

I like that they can be very creative. I mean, look how much we've made and make every single day. That's so cool.

I don't, but if I had to find a roommate, I guess I'd look for someone easy to compromise with and who's ready to give me my space sometimes. Someone responsible, I guess.

I do, I love abstract art personally. The less I understand the better, it allows me to make my own interpretations.

Well, there are some weird-ass traditions in other countries, but that's the case everywhere. Here we used to have a really weird tradition too, where a woman whose fiance died before marriage still had to marry him after his death. So like, guess I can't judge.

I do, but it's been a while. So I'm not totally sure what I've seen last.

chapter 4: jazz trial lesson

The first week into the extracurricular activities at school, you could try anything you'd like. The year before, I had showed up to the trial lesson for basketball and it had actually been fun: running around like a crazy horse on the courtyard where we took recess with a bunch of other kids. I considered staying for basketball despite the coach pretty much having the attitude of a jerk, but my parents weren't too keen on paying for another class, and I wasn't crazy over basketball so I let it go. Apart from that, I had never tried out for anything else. Nothing else: just Jazz, since 2004.

I had been in the level Inter for two years now and it was Time for me to move to Master. My teacher had actually asked me to try out for Master last year but even when I had showed up and was static to dance to Right Round featuring Ke$ha, I decided to turn down the opportunity because I had been a bit intimidated by the big girls. Some of them were already in secondary school and I had been 9 at the Time (now 10), and they had a bad vibe, they made the class feel like a competition. And more importantly, in Inter I was with Olivia and I'd rather be with her than expand my dancing carreer. We ended up dancing to Candy Man by Christina Aguilera wearing Navy uniform inspired costumes in all metalic fabrics, and the choreography for the last chorus had been crazy cool. Liv and I were still proud of it, it was a very rhythmic challenging sequence and we had pulled it off perfectly.

This year though, we were all going to Master, including Ella. Even my big sister was in this class with us and the mean girls had moved a level ahead! It was new for me to have friends there. The social aspect of it made me feel so much bigger. Ella and I were taking it very seriously, this was not only dancing. This was a sport, an artistic discipline, an athlete's life, we had the same mindset even if we had never danced together. I had told her the teacher, Miss. Cynthia, was strict and a kinda tough even if she was also very nice deep down. She had known me since I was 3, and she was the first one to call me by my middle name, Rees. She was kind of a force of the universe to me, like an earthquake.

"Do you think she'll be softer because it's a trial week?" asked Ella.

"I don't think so" I answered. "But that's why we're here for!"

"Yeah, I know!" We gave each other a high five.

"If this class is too hard, I'm moving down to Inter again guys" Olivia was putting on her dance shoes as we lounged on the floor outside the dance classroom after a long day of school.

Olivia didn't like being pushed too hard in any athletic setting and it was cool of her to not give the Time of the day to things she didn't like. But I wished she stayed in this class.

"I hope you stay." I said.

Rihanna was blasting inside the classroom, I was excited to be there. Now with my friends. Even if I was not one of the kids who was popular for dancing, I could work hard enough to get a place even in the challenging parts of the choreography. And sometimes, I even got first line places. Last year I had done a sequence that included a cartwheel with only three other girls. We stayed there chatting for another ten minutes until it was almost Time our class started. Some other girls from our class were also there.

"Hi, gurls" MJ said hi to us three. Mia, the new kid, was looking around. We now knew they were childhood best friends and were "very happy to be finally together in school".

"Hey"

"Are you guys also new?" MJ was wearing no dance shoes, but socks.

"Ella is. Rees and I aren't"

"Oh cool" I knew MJ liked dancing. My only long interaction with her had been in february, when we tried to perform at our school talent show, with another two girls, dancing to Bad Romance. I had even taken my cd player to school to make the choreography together, all four of the random girls that had gotten together when I asked "someone wants to dance with me?". But we ended up giving up after the first 14 seconds of the song, cause no one was good at choreographing and we couldn't stop getting into mild arguments about our outfits for the show. Yet still, I liked MJ the most out of the popular girls. They all would get into crazy arguments once week (at least) and I always felt from what I saw that she was the one getting hurt constanlty. After our Bad Romance flash friendship I once even comforted her while walking back to the classroom, when her friends were acting like a bunch of assholes.

Yet still, she was friends with the mean kids so I didn't trust her much. She was kind though. She was brown with short-ish hair, and had really pretty brown eyes.

"I'm kinda nervous! Is it hard?" MJ asked looking at me and Olivia.

"A little. But don't worry" I said shrugging.

"It's whatever, MJ" said Mia. "It's not volleyball. Where we actually should be!!" Both girls walked away but we could still hear them. "We're going to volleyball on thursday, right?"

"Yes! I promised"

"Dancing is too eaaaasy" Mia was peaking through the window as she spoke. The music had stopped. "This will be a piece of cake. Dancing is just a hobby, not an actual sport." I was appaled. "You'll see what the meaning of "hard" is once we play volleyball."

I looked around to find the annoyed look on Ella's face.

"Give her half an hour." Said my friend under her breath. "I hope she suffers." This made me laugh out loud.

An hour later, we were finishing the class doing flexibility exercises (which I was really bad at, but was managing to mantain a not-too-tragic distance from a split with my forearms against the floor). I was covered in sweat and the back of my shirt was sticking to my skin, but I was happy. Ella was holding an actual complete split resting on the floor and I could make eye contact with her and Olivia (as tragically inflexible as me) through the mirror. Liv's eyes were saying she was moving back to Inter.

"Good work, sweethearts. Drink water before you leave." Said our teacher. "And wear a jacket everyone, I don't want you to get hit with the cold air outside. Yes or yes?"

"Yes" I said almost crawling to my backpack.

"I asked: Yes or Yes???"

"YES!" The whole bunch of girls sounded exhausted. My friends and I got ready to leave in a corner of the classroom, also with my sister. Just as we were changing our shoes, we all caught a comment in the background:

"That was torture. That teacher is seriously deranged." It was Mia. I couldn't hold back the smile forming on my lips.

"Oh, look who's talking." MJ was laughing a bit. "I liked it!"

I also couldn't hold back the new respect that was lowkey forming inside me for MJ.

"Ugh, you stay, then." Her face was bright red from all the exercise. "I hated every second., it's shit." She looked like she would very much liked a stretcher to take her home.

"Bye!" MJ waved us goodbye.

"Bye!" said all three of us together.

Olivia, Ella and I laughed loudly once they left... and then made fun of it for at least five more minutes. And just like that, the two new kids had proven to be assholes.

er, i am a bit disappointed but since time had passed, i have realised it was the right move. that is sad but if both parties naturally drift apart, there is always a chance for it to rekindle later on even if it is years on in the future. but moving on does tend to be the less messer route despite it being hard.

i did that too for HSR, all players are probably guilty of that lol. i believe most fans prefer GI over HSR and there is a lot more GI contents on here. i've never played HI so i don't know the fight mechanics 😭

that sound like such a long system ;-; on my end, you could complete a five year degree (like medicine) and be finish before 24/25 or do a three years degree and a master on top before 23/24. at least you still have time to figure things out.

understandable understandable lol. i think my pref for genshin does stem from me having played it for longest by far + it being the game that got me into gaming, which both ends in an obvious bias. but hsr has been v fun so far as well! honkai impact fight mechanics are more similar to genshin than to hsr, but the controls for the whole game don’t involve the mouse, only the a, s, d, w, i, j, k, and l keys (if i remember the keys correctly- the point is you only need a keyboard to play) lol. makes it easier to play it in class.....

Post II Corona Boogaloo

Well, I was going to try a new physical activity but instead I caught Covid. So that's fun. Anyway, the fatigue is kind of low right now, so I figured I'd update this little blog.

So, I'm planning to start going to a Kendo place near me. I've always thought Kendo looked fun. Keeping me physically active while also getting to learn some traditions from a foreign country. What could go wrong? Well, other than my crippling social anxiety getting in the way of actually going to the class.

In brighter news, while I've been sick I've been playing a lot of old classic video games. Some old pokemon games on the Gamecube (XD is great but Colosseum just hits different), old GBA Yu-Gi-Oh games (classic YGO still has a hold on my heart), and some old Final Fantasy games on the PS1 (getting OP in FFVIII is still stupidly fun). So I guess I rekindled some good feelings from nostalgia haha.

Anyway, just want to make sure I keep updating here because I do think it'll be helpful for me. Here are some other hobbies I was thinking about trying out:

Archery (sounds like it could be fun to learn something that involves precision)

Sewing (I'd like to be able to create something with my hands, cosplaying sounds cool, and this seems like a good way to experiment with less gender-conforming activities)

Writing fiction (It just sounds fun to make up a story)

Any other suggestions for hobbies to check out are welcome! I'm planning to try a ton of things in my journey to, you know, not off myself.

AFTER A WEEK I FINALLY GET THIS DRAGON

I've respeced most of the characters though which is certainly helping things.

I am at a loss for clearing out the Darkspawn nest in my playthrough. I've fully upgraded Vivenne to a complete Knight Enchanter, Blackwall's maxed out his Champion stats including Horn of Valour. Cassandra has all her main core abilities and deflect. I've got tier four weapons and 3-4 tier armour classes. Elkae's armour has a sigil upgrade, I have spirit runes in some of the weapons. I have grenades. I've been following tips the guides and others have given and we do just fine-I can make it as far as the ogres without stocking the supplies back up.

But as soon as we hit the ogres the game wigs out. I leave my big AOE attacks and rift abilities for them, and they just wipe out the party (which is now level 25) in a hit. I'll go to revive a character and we're just SWARMED before it happens.

Renn and Valta disappear in this part of the nest too. So we go from a team of six to a team of four again. When I get hit my characters get bounced into the walls, or sometimes the enemies get stuck in a corner and freeze, but they're still attacking while they're frozen, so you can't really attack back.

i've tried to encourage the ogres to come out of the main back area to prevent this from happening, but they don't move beyond a certain point and the character stays trapped.

If *absolutely necessary* I'll try my best to finish Hakkon at the very least, because I want to be fully leveled and prepped for Tresspasser, which I know is the hardest. I just cannot get my head around the Descent at this particular section (I've also tried taking Bull out of the party, and switching up my attack plans) and strategies but everything goes so wonky in this section.

It's possible I'll need to reinstall because there's a chance Renn and Valta disappearing and the enemy freeze is a bug.

This thing Solas says..I guess it implies we're on decent enough terms? I know by now that approval obviously varies a LOT by companion and choices, and that since I ended the game with everyone sticking around-save Solas, I have the 'good' approval.

(And I'm already thinking of a replay with my same Inquisitor but with the only change being a a templar alliance because I've heard Champions of the Just is an amazing quest. And it apparently DOESN'T lock Dorian out like I assumed so ayeeee) And maybe Human Cole. Tho I reallllly like Spirit Cole so we'll see.

Since Solas kills Mythal does that free us from her binding? Or does the binding continue even post-mortem? I guess TECHNICALLY one could argue (maybe) that Mythal was just being hosted by Flemeth, although Flemeth herself proclaimed Mytuhal was as much a part of her as our heart is in our bodies) So did they both die because Mythal was still within Flemeth when Solas killed her?

I've also just been dithering around online for more lore readings and things I've missed/needed clarified which has been fun too.

Skyhold is super buggy post game. Have to do a lot of reloading. That's ok tho. Not game breaking. Long as it stays stable for Trespasser. ^^

ALSO I just noticed that in the crowd is the servant woman we rescued. I love that.

A few annoying things that have happened over the past 32 hours:

1) Since I graduated, the alumni office has given me parking passes. since last year thy’ve done away with that and despite working on campus, because I’m registered in classes, I have to pay $50 for a student parking pass and until I am able to get it, I risk a ticket when I go to work

2) A professor found a hole in the methods of my study, and while it’s good that it was found I’m at a loss on how to amend it

3) I have to buy yet another textbook 

4) My prof for GIS took out all the homework assignments cause it’s just me in the class. While this eases my workload, it also means that my grade rests onlu on my project proposal, abstract, and final presentation 

5) A classmate I was excited to take said class with withdrew in order to help fill another class, one that is required in the program, so I’m going about this solo and without anyone to commiserate with

An Unexpected Surprise.

My parents had died about two weeks ago. Everything happened so quickly, I barely had time to process it.

It wasn't like I could put my life on pause for a moment. If my parents were here I know they would probably say something like, "(Y/n), keep going. You got this, life goes on no matter what happens. What matters is that you're brave enough to fight back and continue."

And that's what I was planning to do.

"(Y/n)?" A voice called out, pulling me away from my thoughts.

I look up and smile softly, "Kreese, it's so nice to see you!"

"Hey kiddo." He greets, "I haven't seen you in forever, you've grown up so much!" Kreese ruffles my hair, "I'm so sorry about your parents, how are you feeling?"

I shrug, "I don't know. I'm still processing it but i'm fine, it'll all be okay. Right?"

He nods, a smile curling onto his lips, "It will. Now come on, we have a drive ahead of us." He places his hand on my back, guiding me out to the car.

Kreese and I talked about settling into California, what I liked to do, and his job as a Karate Sensei.

"You know, (y/n). We could use someone as strong and wise like you in Cobra kai." He says.

I furrow my eyebrows, "You really think so?"

Kreese nods, "Yes. My students are all brawn but no brain, well maybe except one of them." He chuckles, "He's my best student, I think you'll get along with him."

I think about it for a moment. Me? Karate? A minute of silence goes by before I sigh, "Alright, i'll join you."

Kreese smiles widely before ruffling my hair, "'Attakid."

The next morning we went out for breakfast, got enrolled at a nearby school, bought a couple of things I needed, and basically helping me settle into California.

It was not a little late in the afternoon and I sigh, looking out the window. "How would you describe the kids here?"

Kreese looks up from the television then back to me, "Annoying."

I scoff a little, "Well that's helpful."

"I don't know, (y/n). I'm old! It's not like I can roll up to the skate park and just say, "how do you do, fellow kids?"" Kreese replies.

I chuckle and shake my head, "Fair enough. Plus you're a Sensei so i'm sure being in charge of a bunch of kids and teenagers isn't so much fun."

He nods before looking at the time, "You know what? There's this place that all my students go to hang out in. Golf n' Stuff, I think it's called? Anyways, why don't you go over there and try and get acquainted with some of the kids?"

"Yeah! That'd be awesome!" I stand up, grabbing my jacket and a bit of money I had saved up.

"You need me to give you a ride there?" Kreese asks. I shake my head, "I'll take my bike so I can also try and get familiar with the streets." I smile at him.

"Alright, just make sure to be back home by 10:30!" He added. I nod, "Got it, see ya!"

I lock down my bicycle at the racks, taking a deep breath before walking into the place.

Loud noises from chattering and machines filled my ear, I was somewhat regretting this already but screw it, I had nothing to lose.

Grabbing some tokens for a few of the arcade machines, I step up to the Donkey Kong machine. I quickly start tapping on the controls and avoiding the barrels he'd throw at my character.

"Shit!" I mumble, losing the game. I turn around and see a boy with blonde hair, staring at me along with two of his friends.

I furrow my eyebrows before making my way off to another game, I can still feel their eyes staring at me and before I knew it, the blonde boy was next to me, a smirk on his lips.

"Hey i've never seen you around here before, are you new?" He asks, leaning on the wall. I nod, "Yeah, I just moved here yesterday to live with my Godfather." I reply, "The name's (y/n) (y/l/n). Nice to meet you...?"

"Oh, i'm Johnny Lawrence!" He replies, "(Y/n), that's a lovely name for a lovely person like you."

I chuckle and I can feel my cheeks warm up, "Is that something you say to all of the people you flirt with?"

Johnny shakes his head, "Nope, only with majestic people such as yourself."

"You flatter me, Lawrence."

"Well, I assume you're here alone. Would you like to hang out with me?" He offers. I nod, "Yes, please! That would be lovely."

The entire night is incredible, Johnny and I played on the arcade games, mini golf, and he even tried winning me a stuffed animal from the crane machine but unfortunately fails.

"Let me try!" I step up onto the machine.

"I don't know, babe. It's a little difficult."

I aim for a giraffe stuffed animal and successfully winning the animal, I lean down to reach for my prize and look over at Johnny who looks amazed.

"Here, a little prize as a thank you for being so kind to me, tonight." I hand it over to him.

He chuckles softly and shakes his head, "You're incredible."

I look over at the time and it's 10:21, my eyes widen and I quickly walk outside with Johnny.

I begin to unlock my bike, "I'm so sorry! I have to be home in nine minutes! But thank you for tonight, it was so lovely."

"Wait!" Johnny exclaims, placing a kiss on my cheek, "I hope to see you again, (y/n)."

There goes that not so familiar yet wonderful feeling fluttering in my stomach. "See you around, Lawrence!" I wave goodbye at him, quickly biking back home and making it a minute before my curfew.

Monday rolls around and so does school and my first lesson at Cobra Kai.

I'm grabbing my books out of the locker when all of a sudden I feel a pair of hands on my shoulder, "Nice to see you again, stranger." A familiar voice rings.

I turn around and see a smiley Johnny, "Johnny, hey! I didn't know you also went here." I smile at him.

"It's a small world, isn't it?" He raises his eyebrow, "So, I realized that I never got your number! This weekend was a little torturing since you were on my mind the entire time but I couldn't call and hear you sweet voice."

I chuckle, "Smooth, Lawrence. And fine, you can have my number." I pull out a piece of paper and write my number on it, handing it to him.

The bell rings and soon everyone is leaving, "I'll call you, see you later!" He waves, I wave goodbye before trying to find my first class.

Later on, I grab my bike and make my way to Cobra Kai earlier than most of the students.

I push the door and see Kreese, practicing a few moves before I clear my throat and catch his attention. "(Y/n), welcome to Cobra Kai! I have something for you."

I remove my shoes before walking onto the mat and closer to him, he pulls out something white and I gently take it from his hands, "This is my uniform, right?" I ask. "It's called a Gi. You will wear this during class so make sure you always bring it, got it?" He crosses his arms.

I nod, "Yes!"

"Yes what?"

"Sir?" I furrow my eyebrows.

"It's Sensei, not sir, not Kreese. Sensei."

"Yes Sensei!"

I change into the Gi and walk outside to see a group of teenagers gathered around the mat.

A familiar face catches my attention and I wave over at him, "Johnny, hey!" I smile.

He excuses himself from his friends and walks over to me, "Hey! What are you doing here?" He asks.

"Oh, my Godfather asked me to join Cobra Kai. I'm not looking forward to getting my ass kicked though." I chuckle.

Johnny nods, "Don't worry, i'll help you out."

"Lawrence! I see you've met my Godchild." Kreese exclaims, walking over to us.

Johnny furrows his eyebrows before finally realizing, "Oh- yes, Sensei, I did!"

A nervous look forms on Johnny's face and Kreese walks closer to us, "Everything okay?"

Johnny gulps, "Yeah! This is just an unexpected surprise. That's it."

"Everyone! This is my Godchild, (y/n). They will start training with us and I expect you to treat them as one of your own. Is that clear?" Kreese announces.

"Yes Sensei!" The class replies.

"So, that was quite unexpected." I hear Johnny state.

I nod, "Yeah, i'm guessing you're that 'best student' he mentioned to me."

"Oh jeez, this complicates things a little. Do you think Sensei will kill me if I ask you out on a date?"

I pause and look over at him, "You were gonna ask me out?"

Johnny nods, "I'm still planning on it." He smirks and walks closer to me, "I think you're worth the risk."
