Other art obligations required attention first~ and also y’know, my 8-4/9-5 😔 (just writing my silly little code that I don’t actually know how to write on my own or test on my own yet because I don’t know how all of our microservices work …yet… I swear I’m learning, it just takes me awhile to process and learn)

oH also the last panel!!!! Guilin is short compared to Qiuniu. He has to stand on a chair to be tall enough to reach like that hahahaha. Qiuniu is 7ft. Guilin is 5’6ft.

so because we have only three chapters left, I’ve decided that I’m going to wait for the official release instead of going through the leaks as I’ve been doing for… almost the past 2 years. I don’t want the leaks and the fandom discourse to ruin my last experience with jjk as a still ongoing manga… plus I thought it would be more fun and enjoyable this way... more special ig (I’m being so sappy ik) wish me luck guys!!

#Plus I want to know what it feels like to read a jjk chapter without the leakers’ wonky translation and shitty panels quality #also… I’m soooooo tired of the discourse I’m genuinely over it.#I’m trying really hard to avoid it and just enjoy the chapters #cause even if I had my own doubts (that expressed here) about certain things #they were more or less later addressed in the next couple of chapters #so at this point I’m like ok I still don’t know what to expect or how gege is going to tackle all of it.#I have more questions than answers regarding characters like sukuna yuuji or megumi.#yes I loved sukuna’s conclusion and no idk how certain his ending it is as everything about it felt quite vague and unclear.#so yes I’m happy but I’m also open to whatever gege has planned for the last three chapters…#and basically whatever. just you do you gege I really don’t know what to expect. Second take on that ‘y/n is also %70 feral’ au (first take here) and has no choice in the matter when their body goes into ‘fight or flight’ mode and only ever picks ‘fight.’ Certain mischievous animatronics were warned but lessons still had to be learned.

Struggling on drawing 20 unfortunately T~T #Trivia nugget to my fellow animators if your out there: The frame rate varies from being on 2s 3s and the occasional 4s #Only one frame stays on 1s so this whole shot most closely resembles 8fps. The original shot #(When including the blank start and end frames) lasts 5-7 seconds but there are only 29 unique frames #WHICH BREAKS MY WESTERN (disney) ANIMATION BRAIN BECAUSE HOW TF IS IT THAT SMOOTH??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????#Usually what’s expected of a smooth shot is a lot of frames but mother flipping India Swift has such an understanding of timing and spacing #That with the power of a measly 29 frames created ONE OF THE BEST 5-7 seconds of animation I have ever seen‼️‼️#Am now considering to expand on my “:0” moment but I’m to far in the tags and still haven’t finished animating #Oh one last thing. WAIT going through my old blog's likes reminded me of that one Yuri manga I read last summer called gunjō by ching Nakamura!! Most insane toxic yuri ever it was so good. For the toxic gay stories website people don't talk about it here enough!!!

#i wasn't active on tumblr by this time last year but I did like a bunch of stuff related to it #i do remember some things i didn't like about it though. 1 chiyomi's groomer girlfriend and their entire relationship wasn't showed #as something bad?? i felt like the writing kind of normalized and showed her as a sympathetic character specially when she died #i mean it's not like i need the story to handhold me and explicitly say “this relationship is weird and pedophilic they meet when she was #like 30 and chiyomi was 17“ is just that it's not shown as weird or bad for chiyomi! it's kind of justified with a cheap #'oh but they actually got together when chiyomi was an adult so it's cool' ??#now that i think of it i think there was this one panel near the end in which chiyomi was like 'more than a girlfriend she felt like a mom #or an older sister' and i was SO glad the weird age gap was at least acknowledged. but still #and 2. soko's insistence during THE WHOLE THING that she was straight and 0 attracted to chiyomi like c'mon 😭#i know internalized homophobia is a thing but it annoyed me so bad lmao #*that one meme of the thick book next to thin book* gunjo vs gunjo if soko knew bisexuality was a thing that existed #ALSO i felt so vindicated near the end when they have sex and soko casually goes “well getting you off turns ME on actually'#and then she's like. my hand hurts tho. Idk man… I think what gets me is the weight of this chapter. 430 had a bittersweetness to it but this feels doubled. Perhaps because this is very likely the last time we’ll see these characters but the send off in this extra chapter feels so quiet and melancholy…

#mha #mha final volume #mha 431 #I appreciate the openness of 430 so much more #this extra is essential IT and was a glance at all the characters one last time (most who didn’t appear in 430)#but it’s sad not to see Toshi #it’s sad to see Izuku and Ochako haunted by Tomura and Toga 8 years later #yes the end has them moving forward but then you have Bakugou #remove romantic reading it’s still very clear that he’s meant to be read as disappointed this chapter #will they really be competing? Izuku’s more or less a part time hero #Deku’s back in the field but not in the way Bakugou obviously hoped for #those final panels of him watching izuku disappear into the crowd like Hori why #this is so depressing #I get the intent of seeing that heroes are less needed and that the characters are learning who they are beyond hero work #but we don’t get much of a hint of Bakugou doing that #we leave him with this feeling of melancholy that he’s been left behind #it’s too late #Izuku says he probably would’ve always been a teacher which I think is great!#but just… it feels even more bittersweet #izuku offhandedly tells bakugou to be a guest teacher more often which is a nice detail #but actually seeing that would have been more hopeful and happy #from the start of the chapter with Ochako’s dream the whole vibe is just so…sad #so final #and like I LIKE izuku and ochako I think they’re sweet and cute #but I will always prefer the platonic relationships first #like their scene is tasteful and cute with them both saying essential “I want to spend more time with you’#but it comes after and with this utter weight of finality #I just idk man I don’t want *this* to be the end but it is and it’s just really saddening #I’d say I’d want more something to break this melancholy but I don’t know if my heart can take anymore if it’s anything like this chapter

Jjk ending had me in tears tbh, like the last few chapters did dissapoint me a bit, but I'm still grateful to Gege for creating the manga and Sukuna specifically bcs I genuinely do enjoy and love how his character is written 💗

And even if the original story ended, there are still AUs other ppl had created and that I can indulge in

I think I might design the other crew too as vikings I think it'd be sweet
