Ok hear me out on this idea qsmp skephaloers I'm talking to you

I've had this fic idea for YEARS. like. actual years since the dsmp days and I'm obsessed

Ok so. I am in awe I havent really seen content of this idea at all but the TLDR is that one day the CCs wake up as their characters, on the island, eggs (which are baby dragons) and all And I don't just mean "woah omg the qsmp is real we're our characters" I mean like. Shock. Body Horror. Parental responsibilities put on these people they never expected to have, forms features and instincts they have to get used to. Phil, Quackity, Baghera, Jaiden? Hva eto get used to having feathers and other birdisms, but they have the easiest out of all the members who werent just mostly humanoid, Bad, Bagi, and Foolish for example? Have newly aqquired teeth claws strange anatomy and all sorts of other wackadoodle stuff O_o

This fic would be verrrrryyy skephalo centric, Skeppy is at his motel with Jr and eventually Puffy, that must have been a shocker lmao

I've actually sketched out a lot for this idea (specifically Bad's pov waking up and a bit of Skeppy's pov) hold on

I feel like bad and the other islanders would be working on stuff/trying to figure shit out while Puffy and Skeppy (and jr) were all trying to find if anyone else they knew was around Bad would claim he somehow "felt" Skeppy was somewhere (which is his demon soulbond he has with Skeppy, it's not just a normal feeling cough cough) and Skeppy would be convinced Bad HAD to be around also because Jr and Puffy were there, they were their characters, the fictional kid he had with Bad was with him so he just had to be Quackity and the other admins would ofc not be the gatekeeping overlords of the island and actively work to figure shit out, including using the train system and seeing if anyone else they knew was around I have an idea that they'd send people out from the island, (like maybe group members who havent met skeppy before) who find Skeppy/jr/puffy, and realize who they are Bad would have stayed on the island because of his protectiveness over the eggs (thanks demon instincts) and couldnt leave them, and they figured he'd be the best bet to keep them safe anyways, + he was losing hope that his "feeling" that skeppy was around was real and just delusion that is UNTIL the other islanders come back with a new few people ermmm shocked teary reunion when

- the other islanders dont know what skeppy and bad's deal is LOL half of them think theyre boyfriends (and for drama purposes, in this they are not officially yet but by god are they obvious) - Bad semi flipping the FUDGE out because his demon features are a LOT to get used to and he has instincts he has to repress and just lots of silly stuff. like why is he so pissed Skeppy's taking food from somebody else? Why does he feel like Dapper and the other eggs need to stay close to him at all times/ride on his back? Instead of his regular nervous bbh sounds he makes inhuman garbles and growls which is new, not to menation the mountainload of other things like his anatomy and going from a warm to cold blooded creature LOL his eyesight is also different and he's sensitive to light - Skeppy and Bad have like. actual children now which is a huge fucking deal hello??? They gotta navigate and talk that shit out because jr is like a 5 year old and Dapper + the other eggs while still being the admins are baby dragons O_o They went through crazy changes as well, being a baby animal comes with having baby behavior despite their intelligence - Besides ALL THAT after being overjoyed with seeing eachother again, Skep and Bad have like a little argument over Bad refusing to see skeppy as frequently as he promised to which Bad is like "are u rlly worried about that right now look around you" ermmm a little beef there but they figure it out dw

- hmmm idea what if everyone realizes that the code entity is not an admin, and is a real thing tryuing to kill them maybe (?) omg maybe - Skeppy gets to meet all teh babies!!! I have a feeling he'd get along with the eggs great but also maybe have a small rivalry with a few of them?? lol in a silly way - Islanders find more about themselves and the things they can do yay! Like ppl with wings learn to fly, ppl learn their weapons, magic users start to learn magic and they all decided to learn asl for the eggs - lotssss of angst these motherfuckers are still so confused and miss their regular lives despite the incredible and odd situation theyre in - islanders are still confused on what skeppy and bad's deal is like. they have kids they live together and dont leave eachother's sides prettymuch and go to eachother for comfort primarily - Bad and Skeppy disregard remarks and questions about their relationship THIS IS THEM CENTRIC ALWAYS N FOREVER… - skephalo need to have "the talk", bad needs to face his insecurities and skeppy needs to face his sexuality crisis

YAYYYY ok. i'll start off with the demon soulmate ones (not specific to them) since someone else asked to hear about that as well. this is very long sorry

SO. all demons are born with a special kind of semi-immortality (able to be killed but unable die from age) where their lives are connected to a mortal soulmate(s). soulmate in this context has no inherent romantic or sexual connotations; soulmates can be strictly platonic, romantic, sexual, or anything in between. they dont even necessarily have to spend their lives with each other, it's purely the bond and the connections between their lives.

soulmate bonds exist from the moment all parties are alive, but the demon doesn't get the instinct to seek them out until the age of 18. the demon will follow this instinct and once they meet their soulmate(s), their lives will be connected from there on.

if the demon decides not to seek them out for whatever reason, they'll still naturally be drawn to them. however, if by bad luck or purposeful avoidance they dont meet their soulmate(s) by age 50, then they'll just Die. for this reason most dont avoid their soulmates but there are some who choose this lonesome dangerous lifestyle; choosing a set-in-stone 50 year lifespan over one tied to a mortal's lifespan, which could end up being cut short.

if the demon has already met their soulmate(s) before the age of 18, then nothing really changes. they still don't KNOW they're soulmates until they turn 18, and then once they do the connected lives come into effect.

these mortal soulmates have historically been humans, which is what led to the horned human variant coming into existence a long LONGGG time ago. these are different from demon-human hybrids, as over the years they've become their own subspecies. the horned human variant is still considered fully human, just with horns and a tail. this is what c!tommy is, while c!eryn is an actual demon-human hybrid. here's this old chart i made to illustrate the differences:

demon-human hybrids don't have quite as good of a sense for locating their soulmate(s) as full demons; they'll still naturally be drawn to them but won't really be aware of it until the bond has been forged, unlike a full demon.

^ this is all obviously expanded upon from bad and skeppy's canonical soulmate bond btw.

ANYWAYS so that brings us to labduo. (i forgot they were called that btw. awesome) basically they're soulmates, but as per the way this all works, eryn doesnt realize this until they turn 18. and that's when he's like ummmm tommy. i think we're soulmates lol. and tommy is like wot. rlly? ok. and that basically is it LOL. tommy lives with tubbo and ranboo in the future to me, i dont think eryn and tommy would be attached at the hip soulmates. eryn would probably go off on his own adventures and come back every so often to catch up, rest at the benchtrio house, etc. rolewise they're like the distant uncle who randomly shows up from time to time LOL.

when it comes to other hcs for them ummm i dont actually have a lot. i think they figured out they were trans around the same time, like pre-puberty, and that was something that rlly brought them together. eryn tried to cut tommy's hair and it was a disaster. for anything more read this comic i made a while back

for me tommy was just this scrappy kid who showed up at the village stealing bread and shit, until he befriended eryn and was taken in by eryn's mom. ive never given tommy's actual origins much thought, as i dont think it rlly matters to me. the thing thats important is that he was an orphan from a young age. as much as i think the lab stuff can be cool i think i do just imagine him to have had normal parents and. Something happened where he did not have them anymore. young enough where he didnt have memories of them or anything. idk

OH and rq to explain this doodle in the context of all this. its basically just eryn saying that it's a good thing all of tommy's trauma and deaths happened BEFORE their soulmate bond existed or else it would've happened to eryn too lol

Okay—you don’t have to answer if you don’t want to..! But I’m actually SO curious on your essay thoughts of q!Bad in 4halo fics. Because (I think) it’s kind of rare that q!Bad is depicted accurately in.. most qsmp ship fics. And I feel like q!Bad always becomes.. obsessed with romance with q!Forever in many 4halo fics?? Or super open + emotionally stable?? I don’t know how to explain it, but that’s why I’m curious of your thoughts (because I’ve read your fics and 100% trust your characterizations, especially of BBH cubitos <3)

hihi always down to ramble. and i agree, a lot of bad's flaws are smoothed over in 4halo fics, which makes him incredibly ooc. also, i dont think that these mischaracterizations are necessarily bad, i understand that in fluff fics (or angst fics, which im guilty of) sometimes theres no room in tone to fully capture all of q!bad's complexities. but that doesn't mean i cant have some gripes!

i dont think this is exclusive to 4halo, but 4halo is also bad's current biggest ship, so a lot of it just happens to fall on it. but i really hate how fanon!bad gets stripped down to a mere love interest who is just...very perfect in how he interacts with romance. he wants to go on cute dates, he confesses in a very sweet way. he is kind and nice and a little insecure, and is just so boring. its very much reminiscent of old skephalo fics, where bad is seen as "innocent" and then any other interesting trait of his gets stripped away. i also end up feeling im reading about a highschooler, when q!bad is 11k+ and cc!bad (obviously influential of his character) is in his late 20s.

again, i understand why people write 4halo on cute dates and first kisses. thats what fanfic is for! but i cant help but see the entirety of the ao3 page full of these very...allo-typical romance plots and think "...he would not fucking say that." q!bad is messy as fuck! if you don't interpret him as arospec, then hes at the very least repressed, and not in a cute YA romance way. a 1k fic of pining that ends in a nice love confession just doesnt convince me im sorry!

and then there's the blue diamond obstacle that gets in the way of 4halo monogamy....skeppy. again, i get why most 4halo shippers arent going to mention him, cause theyre just not into anything skephalo. i cant blame them for that. but im a master nitpicker, so ill still nitpick cause this is my blog. bad brushing over skeppy is ooc. bad acting as if skeppy is in the past is ooc. bad pursuing any form of relationship without including skeppy is ooc. bad choosing any other person but skeppy to be his #1 is ooc. and yeah it sucks for shipping if you dislike q!skephalo, but thats how it is and its not changing. and also any fics that push bad to "move on" from skeppy is just ??? not only is that his soulmate across lifetimes, but skeppy isnt dead? hes just not on the island? help??? bad has two hands, but one hand will always hold skeppy's and he's made that abundantly clear many times.

anyways im also not immune to q!bad butchering in 4halo fics! ill admit that, in writing the hanahaki au, i couldn't really find time to fit a lot of q!bad's humor into it, and he ended up more openly angsty and sad and vulnerable then he really is, or would ever be. so i totally get it, and im fine if other qbad viewers despise how he's written in it. however i will stand by the fact that q4halo would never pursue a traditional relationship together, and i chose the ending to be ambiguous because thats how i believe their relationship (and feelings) are: ambiguous. that's why, to me, 4halo is so good. i don't want to read about them confessing their feelings. i want to read about how their relationship is an undefined, confusing mess that will never be defined, and im just so surprised that there aren't more fics like that out there.

OK SO. I feel like the external videos, previous smps, and contests are still a part of the dsmp. At least most of them. Like, the characters are an extension of the CC and their YouTube/Twitch journey. The characters join the dsmp, and they come from different places, and those places are the series the CC is currently working on. Like they have a built in backstory.

For instance: Tommy, SMPEarth and Skyblock are canon for him. Philza, hardcore world and SMPEarth. Techno, Hypixel, MCM, SMPEarth, so on and so forth. BadBoyHalo, MunchyMC, videos with Skeppy, and MCM. And Dream, MunchyMC and Manhunts. MCC for all of these too. I gave a lot of examples just to show a lot of the different places they come from. There can ofc be more!

And I KNOW they said it wasn’t canon, but I think the Fundy marriage was canon too. Just to put into perspective how many of these things are considered canon for anyone who might be in doubt, everyone thought the Fundy proposal videos were canon until they said it wasn’t. Which obviously I didn’t listen to.

I will say, I do continue the “characters are an extension of their CC” thing with the QSMP (like the dsmp part of the character is canon in the qsmp), but with the QSMP, they knew they were making characters, so not all things really flow over the same, at least we don’t know if the dsmp is canon yet (some other old smps seem to be though), but I still headcanon that the island tried to wipe the characters memories and make them forget about important things they left behind so they wouldn’t want to leave the island. Thus, the character is still carried on, they probably just don’t know it.

Anyways, carrying on. I actually haven’t watched Squid Craft 2. I did not know that existed :0

Haha!!” thing. I feel like clawdeen would hate twilight mostly though because she sees herself in the main character, but the story reacts in such ways that are just unsatisfactory and not at all what actually happen to a girl like Bella, which Clawdeen experiences because she feels she is actually a girl like Bella and she HATES IT. She’s like, “That’s not how it works! Vampires might have all these super awesome powers, but that’s not what makes them likable!!” (as I haven’t read enough of twilight yet, I just have a hunch about this hc, so I will say my main basis for clawdeen relating to Bella is because she also has a crush on a vampire.)

And he said, 'ah no worries I'll teach you', and then boom, we have Minecraft date next week."

Your cheeks lightly turned red at the memories, "The date was fun, but it turned chaotic halfway because of the fucker Pandas-, and like, Sapnap was so little that time- like a baby, but overall, it was awesome. Then we kept talking and gaming and, here we are now, and that's how I met your father."

You almost fell from your chair as you hurried to open the door, "I can explain-"

Punz shook his head, "The only thing you are gonna explain missy, is why do we have like six packets of ramen on the kitchen counter."

You closed your eyes in frustration, "Fuck, I forgot to hide them."

Needless to say, he presumes they both had fun, as he walks home with a few gifts and a box of doughnuts. Rat would be happy to see him, as they’ve been away for most of the day. Bad wonders half-worriedly if the little dog had trashed anything while he was gone.

He is glad he chose not to bring him, though. There were a decent amount of stray cats on the grounds, hiding under stalls and stealing food from unsuspecting children. While they were very cute, Bad doesn’t think it would go down good with Rat.

Overall, the day was what he expected.

What he doesn’t expect, however, is to find something strange.

Bad strides down the darkening street. Glancing at the sky, his brow furrows at the descending clouds. It would rain, fairly soon. He should hurry before it catches up to him. 

He hopes that Karen they ran into gets caught in the storm. She insulted both of them, making her mark on just about everything. Stars, that woman needed some help. He wished he could teleport away from her, but he knows that would lead to possibly terrible consequences.

He is about to teleport away, when a resounding crash from the alley across the street sends him about three feet in the air and he almost drops his doughnuts :(. 

He gathers himself, looking frantically around. No, that was definitely from across the street, that was not his imagination. Looking around for oncoming traffic, he makes a dart across the road and cautiously approaches the alleyway in which the sound had come from.

A silhouette of something, someone, darts across Bad’s vision in the blackness of the alley entrance. He steps back a little, gently placing his stuff on the damp concrete. There’s clearly someone there.

Someone who is visibly scared. Visibly as he can see, at least.

“Hello?” He managed a word out. He slightly crouched and walked forward to the entrance of the alleyway. A low hiss echoes from the darkness, and Bad jumps back. 

He decides to push his luck and creeps forward enough to see whatever is in the alley.

It’s a boy. A hybrid at that.

He is alarmingly thin, wearing nothing but light brown pants, a red and white shirt and a dark green scarf tied around his neck. A pair of white fluffy wings are evident from where his shoulder blades should be, more than half the size of him. He’s still a nestling, he can still see fluffy baby feathers all along the wings. They curl around his shoulders as he hisses again.

Bad holds up his hands. “Hello!” He says again, trying on a small smile. The kid flinches back, then suddenly speaks.

“Are you here to kick me out? Like she did?”

Bad felt his heart stop. This hybrid, this child, was kicked out!? Immediately he wanted to scoop the boy up, bring him home and give him somewhere warm and safe. Surrounded by love, a lot of love.

“W-what!? No! No, why would I do that?” He doesn’t try to hide the horror in this voice, “who did that to you….?”

The boy looked away. “Ma. Said she hated me. She beat me a lot, but I got used to it. Threw me out, I deserved it though….”

Now Bad has the urge to find this woman and give her a piece of his mind. This boy was thrown out of his home, and he thinks he deserved it. He licked his lips nervously. “Could you come closer to me…?”

The boy falters, but then cautiously moves into the glow of the surrounding street lights. 

And he’s covered in cuts and bruises.

A voice in Bad’s ear practically screams it off to help him. He reaches out a hand, but the boy doesn’t take it. Bad takes this and backs up a little. “Can you tell me your name, little one?”

��T-Tommy…”

Bad smiles. “Well, my name is Badboyhalo, just call me Bad. Do you….live here?”

Tommy looks behind him, kicking an empty soda can. “Y-yeah, um….d’n’t exactly have a pl’ce to go after…”

His smile falls, and he stands up, earning an uneasy glance from the boy. “Okay, okay. First off, are you injured? That was a big crash….”

Tommy holds up an arm. There is blood all over it, how did he not notice that before!? Bad sucks in a breath at the sight.

“Okay, Tommy. I have people close to us that can help you,” Bad breathed, “Will you come with me?” He reaches out a hand again, and this time Tommy comes closer.

“I’ll-fuck-I’ll go with you..”

Bad smiles.

“Thank you. But also LANGUAGE!”

Tommy snickers and heaves himself up. Bad takes his hand and helps him the rest of the way.

As he dials Puffy, he smiles down at the little avian by his side.

Guess it’s not such a normal day after all.

“Are you guys sure you want to do this? Like I said it’s not too late to back out.” Skeppy and Bad shook their heads.

“You met our family, it’s time we met yours.” You shook your head before turning off the car.

“Don’t say I didn’t offer an escape. This is your death wish.” It wasn’t that you didn’t want our two boyfriends to meet your parents, you had no shame or embarrassment in them, you loved them with every spec of your being. It was your parents you didn’t trust, they had a tendency to be a bit homophobic, they always had been. Thankfully your sister agreed to come to the dinner as well to help keep your parents in line and make the dinner somewhat enjoyable.

Your parents had insisted on making a home-cooked meal, though you were almost certain it was because they didn’t want to be seen in public with you. Your relationship with the two wasn’t a secret, you had posted it everywhere on social media, where your parents followed you, sadly.

You walked up to the door, your lovely boyfriends behind you. Knocking on the door you heard rushed footsteps and people whispering, probably your parents. Your sister had answered the door, looking as fabulous as ever.

“(Y/n)! Oh, how I missed you! Still dress as crazy as the last time I saw you! Oh, and these must be the boyfriends! It’s so nice to meet you, I’m (Y/n)’s older sister!” Your sister hugged you and offered hugs to your boyfriends who introduced themselves in turn.

“Did you warn them or am I gonna have to?”

“Oh I warned them, and even gave them plenty of times to back out but they’re persistent.” Your sister nodded before stepping aside to let all three of you into the house.

Your mother was the next to greet the three of you, giving you a hug and shaking hands with your boyfriends. It wasn’t obvious to them but you could see the slight disgust on her face when she saw the three of you. After your mother met them and introduced herself, them doing the same back, your father came over. Things went basically the same except your father didn’t hug you, only shook hands with Skeppy and Bad.

Things were going pretty ok until the actual dinner part, you were all sat at the kitchen table, your mom, dad, and sister on one side, you, Skeppy, and Bad on the other.

“Ya know, I was always hoping you’d grow out of that emo phase and go to college and bring us home a nice young lady.”

“Dad, I haven’t liked women in years, stop talking about it.”

“I got my dessert right here.” Motioning to the two beside you, you winked before all three of you left.

“Sorry about that, my parents are assholes.”

“It’s ok, the food was good so it was worth it.”

obviously Sap is gryffindor and Quackity is slytherin. I’m not really sure for Karl since i see people typically putting him to Hufflepuff but honestly i think a ravenclaw case could be made for him.

Sapnap is a pureblood (i think the whole dteam is pureblood in theory and tehy grew up together). Bad the dad is a teacher of something i dont care enough to think about rn i just want to include him. Skeppy too but again idk.

Q for halfblood maybe? idk if halfbood is the term in this senario because idk if i think he’s necessarily half human, but i think he should have some magical creature blood in him like a harpy or something cus of course i do. 

Karl is muggleborn methinks because i think the idea of his having very potent magic abilities and scaring the fuck out of his human parents is funny and on brand. Alternatively halfblood with one magical parent masquerading as human would be cool. I hc humanized Inbetween and otherside ocs as his mosm regularly so that could factor in fun. Another alternative is halfblood/pureblood Karl who was raised by his muggle parent/ adopted by muggle parents for one reason or another. I think maybe at some point ofr plot reasons he gets cursed and it gives him memory issues. That or someone, like a parent or someone vital, repeatedly uses the obliviate charm on him for reasons and it’s starting to really affect him long term. Maybe if i go with halfblood where one parent is pretending to be a muggle its like, they have completely integrated to muggle society and are obliviating karl and their partner when weid magic shit happens up until Karl knows he is magic and needs to be sent off at which point maybe the parent is hiding something/ still working in the wizarding world but in a way that is either illegal or otherwise secretive and Karl is just too curious for their own good and keeps getting obliviated when he uncovers his parent’s work. Give the guy a timeturning maybe to further fuck things up who knows

one day Fundy and Dream start talking privately and frequently and they decide to watch treasure planet together

soon after they're dating

but it's a secret because Wilbur is still Fundy's dad and Wilbur Does Not Like Dream

Fundy and Dream are Terrible about keeping it a secret

Niki catches Fundy sneaking out of lmanburg and she asks him where he is going and Fundy is like

"not to see my secret boyfriend who my father may or may not approve of, what? that's ridiculous. please dont say anything?"

Fundy just one day starts gushing to Eret and Tubbo about how cute his boyfriend is and says something along the lines of

Fundy doesn't say anything more but Eret has definitely seen at least one midnight picnic date of Fundy and Dream but he's not snitching this time

on the other hand, Tubbo thinks Fundy and Techno are together and he is just Minding His Business. ignorance is bliss

and Dream is Just As Bad

the first time he and Fundy kissed he went and cheered about it to George and Sapnap

he completely forgot that they Didn't Know

Sapnap and George are just like, "good for you bro" and move on with their days

Badboyhalo once walked in on the two napping together on a couch at Dream's and he definitely told Skeppy but they aren't saying anything either

Fundy also really likes pet names

he calls Dream babe, love, sweetie, darling a lot

Dream isn't too fond of pet names but for Fundy he'll let it slide and he'll use them as well

one day, Dream is over in lmanburg with George and Sapnap and Wilbur, Tommy, Tubbo, and Fundy are all there with them and Fundy just slips up

and Dream walks over and is all supportive boyfriend, "it's amazing babe"

Wilbur and Tommy lose their minds

they're screaming and hollering and threatening Dream but Fundy and Dream are a little too lost in each other to pay attention to whatever Wilbur and Tommy are screaming about this time

meanwhile, Sapnap, George, and Tubbo are just chilling

George asks Tubbo like, "you knew too?"

and Tubbo flat out says

"no, i thought it was Technoblade"

Two giants one tiny, some scenerio where the tiny and one of the giants are friends while the other is bad, something like either Wilbur and Tommy, or Phil and Techno, as the friends and someone like Dream as the bad giant.

Ok heres the idea:

The bad giant has the tiny and other giant captured and they want to kill the tiny by eating them in front of their giant friend, but they make a deal with the other giant that either they eat the tiny, or they do. And because the other giant is watching them to make sure they dont escape, they cant just spit them back up. The giant friend chooses to eat them so at least that way theres a chance that if they escape the imprisonment somehow fast enough, they can still save them. (They wont. Itll just be suffering. :) )

The comfort? Its actually safe, the tiny wont be hurt even after hours of being in their friends stomach. The hurt? None of them know that, and have to find out the hard way.

I have some very good ideas for worldbuilding and angst for this now >:)

tw vore and a lot of incoherent rambling on my behalf

Ok, so, I know you gave some character examples, but I have a few more ideas.

For one, I think the worldbuilding in all of these scenarios is the same. The classic “tinies are somewhat common knowledge and thought of as pests.” Like, people know tinies exist, but don’t see them often and will leave out traps and such for them incase of an “infestation” in their house.

Now for pair-ups. I really like the idea of Wilbur and Tommy being the human and borrower pair, but I think we see a lot of villain Dream. I was thinking Phil as the bad giant (y’know, because I’m an angsty asshole). I can see Wilbur or Tommy being Phil’s son and being punished for keeping a tiny in the house. Because in Phil’s eyes, his son (I don’t know who’s tiny and who’s human yet) has been harboring the equivalent of a rat. Cue everything you said, then. Phil threatening to eat the tiny, the nicer giant actually eating them, but then the human gets grounded and doesn’t have the chance to spit their borrower brother friend out with Phil’s friend Techno watching, since Techno shares Phil’s views on tinies.

Another pair-up I thought would be neat was Sapnap and Dream. This time I at least know that Sapnap would be human and Dream would be a tiny. It’s basically the same situation as the one above it, just replacing Phil and Techno with Bbh and Skeppy. (This can also be switched to Dream being human, Sapnap being a borrower, and Puffy and Niki filling the bad giants roles).

The next one has similar characters but a kind of different reason for noms. Also extra angst warning. This one I imagined Dream as a human and George as a borrower. Dream finds George injured and not only helps him get well, but becomes really good friends with him, too. George lives with Dream for a while before Dream’s human roommate, Sapnap, finds George. This goes a little against the prompt, but in this situation I can totally see Dream swallowing George because of peer pressure from Sapnap. Sapnap had always been Dreams best friend, and he couldnt afford to lose him over some tiny. Fortunately, this doesn’t kill George. Dream wakes up the next morning still feeling George in his stomach. Unfortunately, George is rightfully pissed and heartbroken. Dream plays it off like he knew George would be safe. George sees through it. Angst and a difficult forgiveness arc ensue.

Another one with some people I don’t see often enough in g/t stories, we’ve got Sam, Foolish, and Ponk. Foolish is dating Sam and is good friends with borrower Ponk. Foolish totally doesn’t have a crush on him, though, nope. Not at all. Sam finds Foolish and Ponk hanging out and is heartbroken. He later goes and finds where Ponk was hiding and grabs him, marching over to Foolish and accusing him of cheating and all sorts of other things. Foolish tries to explain but Sam won’t hear it, and tells Foolish that the only way to make it up to his was to kill Ponk. Foolish swallows Ponk, praying he’d be able to get him out later (like you said), and goes home. Sam leaves in a different direction, knowing that he may have been a little to harsh, and knowing that he had willingly blown everything out of proportion. But he couldn’t find it in himself to care. He didn’t want his boyfriend involved with borrowers. Especially not one that Sam had a bit of a nasty history with. Of all the tinies in the world, why Ponk.

Last one I think. Also it’s my favorite so it’s way longer lmao. Schlatt and Tubbo, because im a sucker for Dadschlatt. Schlatt finds little tiny borrower Tubbo, maybe only three or four years old, asleep on his back porch one day. He wants to just kill him then, but as he starts to raise his boot to finish the job, Tubbo wakes up. He takes one look at Schlatt and starts bawling. Schlatt ends up taking him in as his unofficial son of sorts after he learned that Tubbo’s family had been killed by exterminators and he had only just managed to escape. Things are good for a while, until one day maybe a few months later Schlatt is drunk or something and loses a bet to his roommate and ex-fiancé Quackity. Quackity is dead set on taking whatever’s in Schlatt’s pockets as a reward, expecting money, probably, but all Schlatt has on him is his sleeping son. Quackity is confused, but adjusts quickly, telling Schlatt the cost of losing changed and was now to eat the borrower child. Schlatt, in his drunken stupor, shrugs and swallows the child, then goes off to bed. He wakes up with a searing headache and panic, because he can hear muffled crying. Tubbos crying. From inside him. After Schlatt gets Tubbo out and they’re both more calm, Schlatt finally lets Quackity meet the kid, who immediately takes to calling the man “Mama Q.” Quackity thinks it’s adorable and, though he’s never been a fan of tinies, doesn’t really care to much one way or the other about killing them. Quackity comes to enjoy Tubbo’s presence and begins to care about the child over time. Years pass, and eating Tubbo becomes relatively normal for Schlatt and Quackity. Even after Quackity had moved out and begun to live with his new fiancé’s, he wasn’t far, simply a few doors down from Schlatt apartment. Tubbo could get there easily from the vents if he ever wanted tummy time from his other dad, even if hiding from Quackity’s fiancé’s, Karl and Sapnap, was a pain. And Schlatt wasn’t as lonely as he thought he would be with Quackity gone: he had Tubbo. One night, though, he goes to see Quackity and sees him shaking and pale in his room. Tubbo goes to ask what’s wrong, and Quackity tells him that against all better judgement, Sapnap had convinced him to swallow a tiny. And had somehow managed to slip Quackity an antiemetic without him knowing, since “borrowers have been noted to cause enough movement to cause vomiting after consumption” Karl had said, which had ruined Q’s plan of spitting the borrower out once he got to his room. So Quackity was stuck with a panicked borrower in his gut, who wouldn’t listen to the guarantees that he was safe, and Big Q couldn’t get him out for the next twelve hours. And apparently, they where pretty big for a borrower, and Quackity was a relatively small guy. His stomach wasn’t as big as someone at average height’s (aka Schlatt’s) was. Tubbo knew from experience. Tubbo was in Quackity’s mouth in a few minutes. They had decided that the borrower Quackity had eaten would be more likely to calm down if another tiny said they where safe. And Tubbo was already planning to spend the night at Q’s place, anyways, so Schlatt wouldn’t worry about where he was. So Tubbo was swallowed down to try and comfort the borrower. And damn, Q wasn’t kidding when he said this borrower was tall. He looked uncomfortably crouched and folded in the stomach, which was a surprise, since Tubbo always had plenty of room when it was just him. But he could also see why this borrower was making Q so unhappy; he couldn’t imagine having to deal with that much extra weight in his belly, especially a weight that was shouting and punching his internal organs. Tubbo spent the next few hours trying to calm the fellow tiny down enough for him to at least sleep. And at least get an introduction: their name was Ranboo.

I have more for this last one but I’m gonna refrain from writing it because it’s already like three times longer than it should be.

Mabye it’s just because I don’t like romance in general but romantic ships always take away from the actual relationship of the characters, at least by fan perception. Drunz could be a good romantic ship but I don’t think it would play out correctly or be viewed correctly by fans because lbr most people probably like drunz because it’s just another dude to ship with another dude, whatever good dynamic they had gets overridden, at least for me. Dnf and skephalo I don’t count because they are insane irl, so obviously that’s going to translate in everything they do, regardless if it fits whatever story they are trying to play into. Awesam and ponk was way better than karlnapity I’ll give you that, but I still wasn’t really a fan. Don’t even get me started on quackity and Wilbur, or whatever the hell they had going on 😭

I think it probably just comes down to personal preference, I think that if romantic ships were more fleshed out and people weren’t just doing it because it’s there, then I’d be way more into it, but i don’t see that ever happening 😭 I also physically cringe at the thought of watching romantic ships live

agreed wholeheartedly , I definitely hate how people consume dreamsmp romance ships in this fandom, I think mostly because the relationships themselves aren't super fleshed out they default on what they think is a "blue print romance" disregarding what we DO have and what could be extrapolated from it and that gets annoying if I wanted cookie cutter romance about dude x dude number 340920 medieval au id go read merlin

I think the best way to roleplay romance coded relationships is precisely to keep them vague from the romance aspect - people call that queerbaiting I think its peak story telling give me all the subtext without explicitly shoving it down my throat, I don't want to hear love confession number 40928 without substance because people dont know how to pull them off bbh's latest lore stream for example, because he cant get skeppy to roleplay with him for some reason he wrote an alternate story to his that is supposed to mirror him, with "sam bucket" a character who discovered the egg before him and wrote down what it was like to kill all his loved ones including the person he loved most francis (Who is a dog but we are going to gloss over that haha) and in the sam bucket diaries he wrote and I quote "Dearest Francis.. not a day goes by I do not miss you, I cannot wait to see you again.. when the egg brings you back to me..." "Forgive me Francis, all I ever wanted was to see you one more time.."

which is a PERFECT mirroring of his relationship to skeppy in the dream smp and shows the weight and depth of his feelings to skeppy and what c!bad was going through when he killed skeppy

this isn't an explicit romantic relationship but its so laden with romantic subtext and good writing that I just adore it

Talking About The Spirit Scene

Bc I was thinking about it in relation to the Railway Skirmish

I'm gonna go over My Opinions on something I've seen said about this whole thing

-"c!Dream's "I dont give a fuck about Spirit" speech was said in the heat of the moment, and he didn't actually mean it bc he wouldnt reveal his true feelings to his biggest enemy"

I can see how it would look like that on the surface I guess?

But c!Dream had full control over the situation, he was sending taunts in whispers to c!Tommy alongside :) faces, clearly trying to get a reaction out of him. People Were listening to him, they wouldnt have been sat in that meeting room if they didnt want to listen to his demands for Exile. He had FULL control. But the second he pokes the cat's belly a bit too much (on purpose) and the cat grabs his hand bites back by threatening him with Spirit he gains anger issues and suddenly cant control his emotions?

My issues with this are:

1. Despite him and c!Tommy always being "biggest enemies" c!Dream revealed his attachment to Spirit in front of c!Tommy like,, not long after L'Manberg was made. He allowed him to try to help him get it back from Skeppy (while c!Dream was fixing his house for him that had been turned into the nether. Real big enemies. Dream clearly sees Tommy as an enemy he cant reveal his feelings to).

2. c!Tommy got Spirit because DREAM GAVE IT TO HIM, because Dream thought it was less important than giving him the discs. c!Tommy had Dream's items and wanted to trade them for the discs - Dream was like "I can give you the leather" and that's how he got Spirit in the first place. Because it was less important than the discs. Because Dream wanted to keep hold of the discs to keep power over Tommy. He willingly gave away his leverage to c!Tommy knowing full well it could be used against him in the future - and he didnt need to. He says that he could just grind for everything back if he wanted to but trading for his items back would be quicker.

3. The two were friends. They didnt even Have to be enemies. c!Tommy wouldve been reluctant but if c!Dream tried to continue a friendship with him he wouldve eventually accepted. c!Tommy LIKED c!Dream. They literally made a Church together. c!Tommy, though suspicious, hung out with c!Dream even AFTER c!Dream betrayed Pogtopia and hurt him. I say that VOD is semi-lore (the stuff about the viewer count are the CCs but Dream showing the Manberg flag n taking about a traitor or other stuff going on in the story is lore)

Dream and Tommy hung out more times on the SMP than Dream and Punz ever did. I genuinely think more times than Dream and Sapnap/George ever did.

VODs: Church Prime , After Dream's Betrayal (I have this one scorched into my brain bc I remember thinking back then "they're being too friendly and sus Tommy HAS to be the traitor-")

4. c!Dream might not have meant he didnt care about his friends - but we dont know that? There has been nothing to imply he secretly cares about them (or well. Cares about c!Sapnap...) and when c!Sapnap brought up his feelings about c!Dream not caring about him he was guilt tripped ("why are you trying to divide us? (The Dream Team)") and belittled. But even then c!Sapnap cared! He didnt want to fight against him on Doomsday until c!Tommy gave him Mars back.

"Tommy, can i be honest with you? I.. I don't really know if i can join you for this one. because.. Dream is my closest friend and I don't think i owe L'Manberg anything. I think you guys are gonna have to take this fight without me."

VOD:

Mars that Dream had given to Tommy in the first place - the first full crack in their friendship, the scene that brought about the line:

"There's only one man who had that fish. He wouldn't give it to you though." (Sapnap trusted Dream with Mars. Only Dream. And Dream not only sided with Tommy, but unnecessarily gave him Mars, which was the first thing that broke his trust.)

VOD: (I'm assuming you wont want to watch too much of Tommy's POV (ugh, solo Tommy POVers am I right? /s) so I linked Niki's. Pls watch her POV more you even get some cute scenes w her and Antfrost you dont see in Tommy's)

During the Prison Scene where Sapnap visited him, his priority was getting the ":)" note to Ranboo. Which kinda solidified in my mind watching it that he really could not have given a crap about c!Sapnap imo. Yes, Sapnap said some harsh things about him deserving being there and he'll kill him if he gets out but are you gonna erase the 600 times he says he misses him and doesnt hate him? There's a reason Sapnap thinks he deserves being in there - he was quite good friends to Tommy n Tubbo at one point, and since he's allowed to have other friendships and people he cares about, he valued keeping Them safe over c!Dream being free, clearly believing he's a threat.

truthfully, i wouldn’t remove anyone. i think everyone provides an interesting lens from which to view a story. that being said, i don’t particularly care for skeppy.

i’m all about characters who, essentially, add nothing lore wise. connor provides his own kind of lore with his in-canon interactions with people without having to act. his relationship to c!tommy is key to tommy’s own character arc. c!connor added in a whole fucking wave of backstory lore without needing to lift a finger JUST by being good besties with schlatt and reminiscing on the last time they played on a big smp together while “in character”.

skeppy could do the same thing, but he doesn’t. i know he doesn’t really care about the dsmp or lore, and thats totally fine.

again, c!schlatt is one of the most well-written characters on the server, and schlatt fucking HATES the dreamsmp. the difference between schlatt and skeppy is that schlatt still put in a bit of effort and provided a character people could actually think about (which is important to making a good story!! thats why the pogtopia and tommy’s exile arcs are the most popular, and for good reason! the characters involved with the arcs became even more “interesting” to analyze for lack of a better term).

skeppy does, basically, nothing. his only lore i can name off the top of my head without diving into his wiki is that he is soulbound to c!bbh. when cc!skeppy logs on, i dont feel compelled to watch him because it feels like, as a viewer, his main goal isn’t to play with friends or make a story. it’s just to gain views and make content. that’s not a bad thing at all, but i don’t particularly like it myself.

i guess to make a long post short, i would remove c!skeppy from the STORY, but i literally do not care if a cc is removed or not bc in the end its just friends playing on a minecraft server. amen.
