THAT WAS THE DEAL!!!#...Is what I would have said had I not spent *four* days trying to draw a cool dramatic comic. This is all I have to show for it.#I also missed posting this on the Flondon anniversary so I'm double Smad and frustippointed at myself.#This is niche content but I know there are flondoners following me who will understand.#I had to make a second account because all my friends who I played with *also* picked Nemesis and dropped the game at various gates.#I failed every possible check at Knifegate. I was on the verge of madness. And yet I still love this game.#Little known secret about me: over 70% of the blogs I follow on tumblr are flondon rp blogs.#The cool art and character lore brings me a lot of joy!#With that said; what the hell is the coincidence that right as I finish Nemesis -#The flondon community starts a Nemesis Race.#Guys. it’s not worth it. It is a revenge quest about losing everything you have to see your task through.#All to culminate in the discovering that you are beefing it with a fanfiction writing bat.#That said; I do feel like this story was very satisfying for my melancholic doctor.#I knew I would get the choice between sparing or killing my nemesis (the bat) and I had a long time to think it through.#Someone who wants to save lives and (does as much as possible to do make things better for others) choosing against mercy?#Someone who never permitted themselves to let the city truly become a home because they were not a person - they were a tool for grief.#Alright..Yeah the ending was really good.#I will be back with a part two. Clearly I'm tenacious enough to commit to what I started.#If I am not excommunicated on sight by the flondon community I will be back with comics for the other ambitions.

No one understands Jiang Cheng like I do except that’s the point. Jiang Cheng’s character is only truly understandable by the reader. And you have to make an effort. The narration fights you at every turn. The characters themselves aren’t interested in doing any heavy lifting. Wei Wuxian is too tired and hurt. Lan Wangji can’t let himself see anything but the mirror of his failure. There is no convenient Wen Ning to blurt out the truth for him. None see him clearly. There is only Jiang Cheng, his words, and his actions.

#not entirely happy how I worded this still #the narration in mdzs really feels like it’s trying to spoon feed you conclusions that are at times just not it #I’d call it a mark of bad writing BUT in Jiang Cheng’s case with the twist at the end it feels like it’s intentional #like the audience is let in on one last punchline without being aware that the joke had started #maybe I’m being insane the ppl who hate Jiang Cheng are right and there’s nothing deeper there I’ve played myself #jiang cheng #lan wangji #wei wuxian #wen ning #mdzs #Jiang Cheng himself doesn’t help either

I started drawing this next day after I finished Act 6

13 or so days and it's finished!

Main things are traditional and Loop's body was edited digitally after

I've been torn on how to do Loop's body for the entirety of lining, also

A bit sad the main lines are visible only as a wip, most of this thing is literally just a ton of sharp lines

I think it's also my first day of drawing, Loop is just a sketch here (feat. my leg)

I even finished the beans before it so they were a moral support, because if you let me things like this take a year

I fell asleep at 6 am that day and woke up at 10 4 hours of sleep after playing full Act 5 and two hats stuff IS STRESSFUL #SUPER STRESSFUL! i think im going to give up on naming my mascot and just call it 'the creature' or critter forever now. like, giving it a different name than my own feels completely wrong, but calling it by my own name feels wrong too, its like the bite sized version of me and my personality so its not ALL of me, but its also not NOT me. the critter

#it also provides this very comfortable blanket of distance thats always allured me about the internet. like #you can get to know me.. but there are parts of me that are just all for myself #and i think thats really nice actually #its not a persona in the sense im acting differently than i actually do. its a glove that fits very natuarlly #but it means i can choose what parts of myself to share. its not a character im playing but a characeture of myself. do you understand?
