Hi to my Coroika and phighting fans so how are we feeling about this one

cooked these up in a few hours! These honestly didn’t really take that long at all and were really fun to do since I got to play around with some charcoal brushes (I love doing everything in my power to NOT use midtones lmfao).

I tired to mimic the style of the manga a bit and I think i did relatively okay! I have a lot more of these planned so yeah >:3! Really excited to get to do them sometime

Night at the Museum: Redesigning Characters 1/4(?)

Character profile: Frank "Noses" Capone

This character is based off of and takes inspiration from the historical Frank Capone.

Real Name: Salvatore "Frank" Capone

Nickname and Meaning: Noses - He got this nickname from being inquisitive and being unafraid to stick his nose into other people's business, even if it gets him into trouble.

Age: 28 (July 16, 1895)

Time Period: Frank is from America's Prohibition in the 1920s, to be exact, hes from April 1st, 1924 Chicago, just before he and a group of Mafioso's went to the polling station near the Western Electric Hawthorn plant.

Family: James "Jimmy" Vincenzo Capone, Raffaele "Ralph" James Capone, and Alphonse "Al" Gabriel Capone + Three younger brothers and one sister that wasn't brought back.

My own silly headcanons:

Can be level-headed, but usually his anger gets the best of him.

His presence calms Al down a lot. His brother really loves him and missed Frank. Frank reminds Al of simpler times when they’d run errands for their old boss Torrio… now Al’s boss.

Represented by clover/clubs. The club symbol represents the summer season and the earth element. The club suit in cards indicates youth, a phase when a person focuses on education, and recklessness.

Frank has matching pins with Al, Jimmy, and Ralph, each brother taking a playing card suit. The brothers made them together with old scrap metal they found in the Navy yard.

Sticks his nose where it doesn’t belong. He likes putting himself in the middle of gossip circles. When he’s not purposefully antagonizing Napoleon to get a reaction, they get along really well because of this.

Jimmy Consentini belongs to @all-yn-oween. I had to draw him and Frank together because (I think) they both have two-piece suits.

muleda was quite a skilled fighter from a young age, often earning lots of praise. however, she had also been pressured by those around her, mainly her parents.

that aside, the royal family had heard of her, and decided that she would make a good royal guard. that was when she would meet mipha, and the two formed an inseparable bond, viewing eachother as sisters. (idk i just needed an excuse for mipha to meet muleda)

mipha would often tell her stories about the princess of hyrule, and muleda would tease her everytime. the two also shared their struggles together, and would comfort each other.

however, the calamity was still and impending problem. muleda had been worried for mipha, mipha was like a little sister to her, and she was concerned about mipha piloting vah ruta. but, she brushed it off. muleda believed that mipha was independent, and could handle that position.

when the calamity struck, muleda was terrified for mipha. something felt like it was going horribly wrong for her little sister, but she hoped the best for mipha. but ganon won, and muleda was there to witness it (she didn’t directly see mipha die, but she saw vah ruta get corrupted by ganons control)

also side note she got injured I during the calamity that’s where she got her scars from

muleda hadn’t been doing well after the calamity. she had… changed. she wasn’t carefree and jovial anymore, becoming more closed off, irrational, and paranoid. she had struggled harder when she had become a general of zoras domain (idk how she would. lmao)

she later had a daughter, tempah. though she really did care for her child, she couldnt help but be overprotective and afraid for her daughter. she doesnt want to lose another person she cares about

idk what to put for the end but currently (pre-botw), muleda is attempting to free vah ruta and avenge mipha, she still hasn’t moved on from her sisters death. all of her attempts are currently unsuccesful

BT!Kieran ref sheet 2! Took the first one (link) and did a bit of a time skip; here’s a better idea of how the nonhuman traits develop over time!

Physically, the scales are the main new thing happening at this stage. The mental changes though… well you guys probably saw the comic we posted yesterday (link) showing how that’s going

Design notes under the cut, plus extra general details about how things are changing for him

- At first, Kieran tried to keep the claws cut/filed short so he could still wear the glove normally. This didn’t work in the long run, so he just got a new glove.

- Since the scales started spreading over his shoulders, Kieran started pulling his jacket back up to cover them (not shown in ref sheet).

- Sometimes he can’t get the tail/chain to retract completely, so he uses the fanny pack strap to keep it up against his back and hopes his jacket + the pack makes it look natural enough. It’s very uncomfortable and borderline painful to do; it isn’t meant to bend that sharply.

- Like we showed in the comic, he’s developing some hunting instincts and a prey drive. Sometimes when he’s out training, his Pokémon have to physically hold him back from going after smaller ‘mons around the Terrarium.

- He does his best to suppress it, but sometimes growls and the like get out when he’s upset (which is most of the time)

- Kieran finds himself not really being that bothered by the things happening, and that is what disturbs him the most

- Pecharunt did not expect or intend for any of this to happen, and is doing their best to help Kieran adjust, but can’t really do all that much

Yeah! I like Drayton a lot. He’s my favorite Indigo Disk character. I have him as my s/i’s sibling in most timelines, since Drayden is more like an adoptive grandfather to my s/i. I just don’t usually talk about him as my s/i’s brother since I ship with him in a universe where they’re not related and have established that way further than the familial relationship AHAHA.

Can you explain Strange Someone Frisk’s motivations a bit more? I don’t really understand how they could go from being a nice supportive kid to tampering with things in DR

well frisk Does appear to be nice and nonviolent even without the SOUL’s control (sans saying “even when you ran away you did it with a smile” and seemingly feeling guilty for taking more than one piece of candy (the bowl tipping over and the narration saying “you felt like the scum of the earth”(unless that’s just chara trying to guilt them/you)) and we know from deltarune that while the SOUL controls what frisk and kris do, where they walk and what they say, it doesn’t control how they say things, like kris saying things sarcastically/confusedly/as a joke when it’s a choice they don’t particularly agree with (like the “perish” being said enthusiastically, or saying they’d go to the festival w ralsei or noelle and not sounding like the Actually Want To).

and similarly to kris ithink ss frisk feels. lost. without the soul. in the context of the au, frisk doesn’t remember anything before falling into mt ebott. idk it’d they even remember their life before that day. idk if they even had one. they maybe convinced themself that they were literally made for their role, and didn’t exist before then. maybe them causing problems through the secret bosses is them trying to get the SOUL’s attention, bc the SOUL’s influence is all they know, and they know the SOUL is here now.

they’re messed up in a similar fashion as jevil and spamton (and presumably the other secret bosses we have yet to meet) but where as they were Told by frisk about their roles as characters in a story, and jevil’s method of coping being that he’s “free”, and spamton’s is by trying to escape, frisk was made aware by their firsthand experience, and has turned to telling the secret bosses. and well, while i don’t know Why frisk would let this knowledge upon them when they’d been previously kindhearted, maybe it has to do w like. their life being entirely upended by the game ending and being shunted out of that universe as a result. maybe they feel cheated. maybe they feel that doing good isn’t worth it. maybe they feel like they can’t do good without the SOUL telling them to do so. maybe they don’t even realize or think that what they’re doing is causing harm, maybe they think that telling them What’s Really Up is a good thing. they did actually help spamton, for a time.

think that makes flowey’s plea for the player not to reset, to leave the game alone let frisk have their happy ending, kinda. ironic. not that resetting Would Have done them any favors either.

also if i was made fully aware that my life was little more than a means to tell a story i think I’d snap a little bit too. my life is a game maybe I am tired of being nice, maybe I do just want to go apeshit. maybe I’ll cause some problems on purpose
