At one point in OFND, Whitestorm and Tigerclaw were separate characters near the Very beginning of OFND’s creation; Whitestorm went through a few names (namely Softsnow and Whitethorn), and Tigerclaw did as well (namely Strikeclaw and Talonclaw).
Once Laurelstorm came into existence, her original name was Tigerstorm! Then it was Tigerlilyclaw, then Talonstorm, then Wolfclaw, Wolfstorm, Coyotestorm, Maplespark, Maplestorm, and then, finally Laurelstorm!

Note 1: I didn't include Mimir or Neon since they're both aroace and it felt wrong to me to put them in the running when "fuck" is an option. Yes, not all aces are sex repulsed, but since I don't know their stance on it, I decided to error on the side of caution.

I occasionally see posts/get messages about the various harry potter references in the bright sessions, etc. and I've gotten a bunch of new followers recently so just so any new/younger listeners of my shows know:
jk rowling is a terrible transphobe whom I hold zero respect for and I haven't given a dime of my money to her since she revealed who she truly is. I want the whole bright universe to be a safe space for trans people (including the trans folks in our cast and crew!) and if I could go back and remove those references, I would. but I can't! harry potter was an extremely significant part of my life until...well, until it became very clear who she really was. it makes me so sad to think that folks might be finding TBS now and get thrown out of the story by these references, but just know that the people who made the show do not stand by jk, and that in many ways, the show is a product of its time.

I wanted to give her a chance to learn and grow#and she did....not do that#but TAMA was written in that little grace period#and then a few references in TCT were taken out during recording bc june of 2020 was when she really started to go mask off#and so we were making changes in real time#we didn't know what to do about quidditch#bc we were like 'this is a sport that people play in college and it's just called that?'#'and it's already canon that caleb plays?'#and it wasn't called quadball yet#anyway not trying to make excuses!#just know that none of those references were put in with any malice#and I guess I *could* go back and rerecord all those lines and replace them#but I know enough about my original audio engineering to know that it woudl be VERY hard to make it sound natural#and idk I do think there's something to be said for not covering up errors in old work#I'm not going to try to pretend HP wasn't important to me#EDIT: I've turned off reblogs for this post#also this is not me trying to tell other people how to approach their own HP fandom#fanworks especially - there's no benefiting jo in that - and I think it's totally legit for ppl to want to take HP as their own!

#my art stuff#digital art#baldur's gate 3#bg3#astarion#astarion ancunin#this is part of a series I like to call “I’m never settling on a singular detailed artstyle”#I have no consistency in drawing realistic people/characters other than my shapy cartoon style#but I truly don’t get enough opportunity to properly shade anything with art in that style-!!! it always looks weird to me-!!!!!#I think some rude lil worm in my brain is wriggling around telling me it’s a futile attempt at still doing realism#cus I’m one of those “gifted” artists that grew up promising his parents he’ll end up among the big names or whatever#constantly training to become better at art but with realism oil paintings as the goal#you know how it is 😔#I wanna shade my lil funky designs but they never feel good enough to really put energy into or whatever so I compromise with stuff -#- like this where I try to draw characters more accurately while still stylizing them and shading them however I feel like it#which is great and all but I should really learn to give my more relaxed and less perfectionist art a chance#I deserve to enjoy the process and the result without working myself dead#it’s so much easier and rewarding to copy cartoon styles - stylizing realism makes me too anxious of doing it “wrong”#at least cartoon styles give me a goal to reach or a reference to strive towards#man I really should just cut myself some slack altogether#either way - this man is a flustered mess and he’s embarrassed about being called adorable in public or something#being teased in an affectionate way about his sweeter side and stuff#don’t ask why he’s shirtless - anatomy is just a lot more fun for me to draw sometimes#tasteful nudity and all that is extremely gorgeous to me#i need to practice anatomy more cus I just kinda did some shit and went with it this time with a BIT of consideration for muscle structure

Earlier I had a game with an Ashe and Cassidy duo who were engaged in what I can only describe as a Lovers’ Quarrel.. They spent the first half of the game fighting with each other, spamming “NO” at the other and jumping to their deaths. Honestly I was mad but it was also funny as hell. At one point the Cass went up to her and said “I’m your huckleberry.” To which she replied NO. and he promptly turned and jumped off the map

award for most devil’s sacrament moment of the year goes without a doubt to this morning when my coworker (delivering presentation) (screen projected onto wall in front of me and god and everyone) opened a new tab in google chrome and in the number one spot among the collection of icons for frequently visited websites was. the ao3 logo

turned 30 yesterday and thought about how incredible it is to be publicly trans in a very prominent tech field, and how amazing the outpouring of support has been. feeling good about life and happy to still be here :)
#incessant meowing#me#and the best part is that i'm not the only public figure trans person#the awful hateful people are still out there for sure but like..... the support is stronger#we are finding community and employment and it's NORMAL#it's still hard sometimes but for the most part i realize that i am just.... /safe/#and the realization hits me like a freight train every time and makes me want to weep with gratitude!#like i'm still here!! i'm still here and i'm not going anywhere!!!#it's bittersweet to think about the fight that went into this and still goes into this#not just for me but every lgbt person in america right now#but i am never ever going to take for granted the fact that i am standing on a mountain built by decades of activism#and i hope i can help pave the path up it for others to follow

thinking abt my universe's school system and deciding to draw them working on an essay
#tzu rambles#losers. get schoolwork. idiots.#okay technically sevyn avoided all that because he literally just knows basic math and how to read+write siccan. he's NEVER done an essay b#(he can read silven ofc but he doesn't usually write it)#and winter+avery wouldve learned a similar amount and then had the choice to go further#which avery did if you even care#but i dont think she hated it. shes the kinda girl who wouldve been chill doing an essay#winter is probably educated on history and science a bit as well. so they both likely did essays#scarlet thistle cash ezra and ibis went to a public school#so itd make sense that theyd have worked on an essay once#koya went to a private school and freyja was privately tutored#i doubt freyja's ever done a genuine essay#this is so random i just want to put them thru school hell bc im in school and my stomach hurts and my throats still sore#koya also definitely got bad grades oops#he's a history kid at heart i think#yoddenlir

i watched I Saw The TV Glow and now i’m debating my gender very terribly hard rn
#venting in the tags sorry public#i actually did sort of ‘transition’ in 7th grade#i went by a different name i cut my hair and it actually made me really happy#the only reason i was (TW) doing so bad mentally was because i hated my body#i also was on drugs and obviously that isn’t good#but i felt so judged by my peers that i was embarassed to be ftm so i got more feminine#and not only that but coming out was too tiring#way more tiring than coming out to everyone as a lesbian#and i got comfortable in my femininity and it was never an issue but i have always felt like something was missing#i love being masculine and i like he/him pronouns a lot#but 9 times out of 10 when i’m feminine i just don’t feel like me#i feel like someone else#but i’m scared to admit or even consider the possibility that i’m not a girl at all#i’m comfortable identifying as genderfluid but…idk#the label has never felt like me.#none of them do. and i know i don’t have to label myself but unlabled/queer isn’t me either#the only one that i felt comfortable being was trans masc/trans ftm. so#i’m going through it#gender identity is confusing#reia rambles idk
