I don’t think Aaron would be on board initially. Kevin would have to be the one to approach him (highly unlikely, but I think Kevin could get desperate enough)

2. When Kevin confesses, Aaron WOULDN’T TRUST HIM IN THE SLIGHTEST. He believes Kevin is actually into Andrew instead (Andrew and Kevin are so close!! They’ve been best buds forever! Of course Kevin would fall for Andrew before ever falling for Aaron) and believes Kevin wants to use him to fill the romantic/sexual void Andrew could never give him.

3. Kevin understands Aaron’s skepticism and lets it be. This gives Aaron time to psychoanalyze every interaction Kevin has with both him and Andrew and realize that Kevin doesn’t act the same between them.

4. When they do eventually get together, Aaron is DEEPLY DISTURBED by the idea that Andrew might one day acknowledge Aaron and Kevin’s relationship. Andrew fully condones them and gave Kevin his blessing, but Aaron is so disturbed by the idea of Andrew knowing on behalf of Kevin (i.e. the thought that Kevin actually wants Andrew and Andrew knowing this) that they keep their relationship a complete secret.

5. Aaron doesn’t become fully aware that Kevin ONLY WANTS HIM until, like, five years into their relationship LMAO Which spawns their first and only MAJOR FIGHT.

6. Andrew knows better than to intervene (the fight is adjacently about him, after all) BUT NEIL DOES HAHAH HE CONFRONTS AARON IMMEDIATELY. Neil’s fights with Aaron are always 3x worse than any fight Neil has with another Fox. He punches Aaron and Aaron strangles him a little (cuz he can’t risk breaking his hand, being a surgeon and all) and Neil, barely able to speak, says “I know you’re only doing this because you care. Your sympathy is misplaced.”

7. Kevin of course went to stay with Andreil so when Neil comes back all bloody and bruised from talking to Aaron, Kevin nearly faints but Neil insists that he got through to Aaron. So when Kevin and Aaron talk again, it’s like when two toddlers are forced to apologize by their parents and then two seconds later everything is back to normal and it never gets acknowledged again HAHA THAT’S KEVAARON

Honestly, I find the best thing to help anxiety is clear communication. I would just send a message that says, "Hey! I know my friends are pressuring you to talk to me a lot, and I want you to know that I don't want you to feel pressured. It makes me happy when you talk to me, but I know this is new, so I don't want you to feel like you have to push yourself."

This way he knows he isn't pressure and he also knows this isn't you saying don't talk to him.

As far as talking to people IRL? God, I'm am NOT the person to ask, I am so awkward. I mean, as a rule of thumb, people like talking about themselves. Asking them about their likes, dislikes, opinions, etc, is always a good way to make conversation.

satang playing this type of character felt a bit much in the first episode but i think he's getting more comfortable with the role as the show progresses and it look more natural; i'm glad his character isn't the googly eyed mentee and he actually teases a lot and snaps back but knows when to stop playing because q isn't the most patient person. (matt having to jump in like "bro he's serious" was so funny cause i hadn't clocked that either hahah)

the way we can see q flustered at certain points but seemingly unbothered at others is fun because his reactions aren't entirely predictable at this stage as we're still getting to know him. also it's mad cute when he clearly doesn't know what to do with himself

It's been at least a month and a half since Todd and Cola were official, while they had to deal with an angry Envy Adams, the relationship has been going steady.

Cola and Todd walk out of a convenience store, Todd munching on a celery stick while Cola has a blow pop sticking in his mouth. As they walked together, Todd kept talking about how much he's been improving strength wise ever since they started dating, basically humble bragging to Cola but also sort of thanking Cola for making him be on the path of being a better man, But Cola gets distracted by a thought that pops into his mind.

He stops for a second as he feels a sense of deja vu...which triggers him to take a deep breath before asking Todd a kinda loaded question (to Cola at least). He'd ask Todd if he truly liked him, like this wasn't just some stunt or some fling to him

Todd (as simple-minded as he was) quickly replied, "Yeah, I mean, it's not like I can fake sparks or anything!" but he'd see Cola's facial expression and kinda realize that something was a bit off with his new boyfriend. There was no playful teasing or loving "idiots", just Cola being distracted by a thought on his mind...So Todd would stop by a bench and would ask Cola to sit with him as he'd ask what's wrong.

Cola would look at his shoes that were covered in snow as he would clam up a bit. he wasn't used to feeling this way, but todd would put a hand on Cola's, reminding him that they could practically get through anything together

"I mean, we both were able to take on envy...and she's a...bit scary hahah.."

Cola would take this into account and then gulp, before recounting a past relationship he was in before he got famous.

He thought he fell in love, he felt the sparks between the two of them...but rather quickly those sparks started to fade, and Cola started to realize how much his ex toyed with him emotionally.

"He...never really cared about me, he didn't care about my interests or anything, he just...stringed me along until it was time to fuck, and when it was convenient for him to like me.."

He spoke, trying to fight the tears away. Cola would reveal that while he did get famous off of the pain he had to go through, it was the relationship itself that triggered him....and kinda twisted his perception on men. He was so embarrassed that he got played by a dick, that he practically changed his name so he could never be associated with that side with him again. That vulnerable weak part of him, the part that he let his ex see, the part that he was embarrassed of... And changed it to Cola. The big shot, The music's new it boy, and now Todd ingram's boyfriend.

Cola would shake a bit before glancing at Todd

"and now I'm hanging out with you, and I'm just like '...what if I get hurt again?'

'what if he's just stringing you along again?' "

Todd was, kinda moved by Cola's display of emotions, especially since he wasn't used to seeing this side of him. But Todd would then reach out to Cola and give him one of the tightest hugs he's ever given anyone.

"Well do what I do and don't listen to your noggin!"

"huh?..."

"Listen, I kinda get it. Your brain is making you think that you can't be in love anymore because of some jerk in the past, but look at you now! and besides, if you were just some fling to me, I wouldn't be constantly trying to get to know you!"

the silence of swans is actually meant to be a version of my story “a ship in the harbor” set in a more fantasy-based world just because those characters are like. my beloveds but sometimes the aot world can be a lot for me. it’s a story told in three parts, with the first part being the mc (who is an elite soldier known as one of the cygnus atratus) finding an injured soldier from enemy territory with amnesia and begrudgingly nursing him back to health because she is so lonely that even his company is enough to make her happy and because she feels guilty about what she did in the previous war and feels like this is her atonement. the boy has zero memories of being a knight of the cardinal, which the mc figures out he is based on his uniform, and the only thing he does remember is his first name. they eventually fall in love as he stays with her, and the title comes from the fact that until the boy came, the only company mc had were the pair of swans that lived in the lake by her house. they were accustomed enough to her presence that they didn’t freak out whenever she went near them, and so the “tagline” of the story is suppose is when mc thinks to herself: “before i met him, the silence of swans was the closest thing to love i knew.”

however, it turns out that the soldier who shot the cardinal and made him lose his memories is someone that mc was lowkey in love with but can’t see anymore ever since the war due to only associating bad memories with him. he comes to visit her at some point and the cardinal sees him and gets his memories back. while mc is out somewhere, he writes her a letter thanking her and apologizing for leaving, as well as telling her his full name.

the second part of the story is essentially a flashback and tells the story of what mc did while at war and how she managed to help the army take over a small country. there’s also a lot of cygnus atratus lore in this part because they’re kind of superhuman?? they’re fueled by lapis lazuli which is also what the knights of the cardinals are powered by and what the bullet that mc’s cardinal was shot by was made of. it turns out that bullets made of lapis don’t even need to fatally wound someone to kill them, and the idea to make weapons out of lapis were mc’s idea and that’s how they took over the country of corvane.

the mc is from a country called svanin and the knights of the cardinal are from a place called roscello, which mostly has jurisdiction over the cyanocitta mountains, where lapis lazuli is found. svanin wants to take over roscello so they can have the cyanocitta for themselves, as at the moment they only have the few foothills they took from corvane and must trade for additional lapis. the third part of the story is the mc and her cardinal committing treason for one another and trying to figure out which side is right and who to actually fight for. that part of the story is the least thought out by me obviously HAHAH but anyways the parts in order are “pt. 1 — the cardinal”, “pt. 2 — the crow”, and “pt. 3 — the catbird”.

kyoto au is entirely unimpressive compared to this HAHAHA it was just a oneshot i started writing that was an au of this one megumi fic i never finished. in this au the main character goes to the kyoto school instead of tokyo and only meets megumi in that one ep where todo beats him up, so it’s mostly just comedy of her and megumi meeting for the first time and megumi lowkey hating her for being associated with the kyoto school meanwhile she has the most MASSIVE crush on him because he’s antisocial and described as a “loser” by his friends which is exactly her type.

If we assume they only met the post-retcon kids chronologically (for them) afterwards, there were a bunch of conversations that happened twice. And Aranea's ghost 'survived' the Game Over timeline aka got thrown back to the Furthest Ring.

Still, it's gold to have Brain Ghost Dirk be his own self, distinct from ascended Dirk.

p47: "DIRK: You’ve spent years feeling sorry for yourself, totally convinced you made the wrong choices and that it’s all over. And it’s easier that way, isn’t it? It was great to see Karkat and Meenah interacting in earnest. It's really something to see them hit it off so well. I suppose the fact that Karkat is now older and a bit grittier has done worlds to Meenah's willingness to let him lead.

Also, as an aside: it's funny that Meenah's Jake handler in the resistance. She gets to boss an English around as cosmic retribution.

Great to get a better look at Karkat's inner turmoil too. Just to get confirmation he's still the same guy at heart. Leaving his mic open during heartfelt confessions is so on brand. It's fitting that that's what endears him to his followers. Seems close to how some of his most embarassing moments as leader of his session were easily forgiven by the other trolls + what ultimately served to help win the session.

I can't shake the feeling that all of the population of Earth C is just a wee bit too eager to follow their pantheon in everything unthinkingly. Devotion on par with carapaces unflinchingly following their royalty into war in the Medium, with a few notable exceptions.

Loving the Metal Gear Solid meets Suicide Squad asthetic that Karkat and his elite squad has going on there. I'm assuming of the trolls in the LOBsTERs, there's one highblood and one lowblood.

Sollux is, funnily enough, the best for Earth C in behaviour. Just minding his own, most of the time. His latest disability wouldn't be at all stopping him from being worshipped, if he at all wished it.

If it weren't for James' newspost, I would have figured the next page could already be a flash, but seems it might have to wait until Jane's army's arrived at the Meteor.

Still not sure what the effect of the Plot Point will be. We've got a few things up in the air.

It's going to make the Candy timeline relevant to the overal plot - which could mean a connection, portal or transportation effect to the Meat timeline. It might be connected to the machine underneath the curtain that Dirk's transporting.

If it's a Sburb game disc set, can you imagine the brawl that could play out over who gets to play? Then again, the way the Candy kids are a set of four, them connecting to Dirk & Rose's players might result in an eight-player session to mirror the B2 merged session.

Wild theory I came up with: what if it's Aradia's version of the Beat Mesa, an other version of the music crystals that Damara used to scratch the A1 session? Aka what if the Candy timeline has to be scratched to validate the Meat timeline as the 'true' timeline? In that case, there's probably a portal for the Candy kids to escape through, too. Assuming the Candy timeline would be erased by a scratch, it's not a session, after all. The only reason B1 Earth got evacuated by the carapacians were the imminent Red Miles - even though he was only out there to send them because he escaped the B1 session as it was being scratched, so, ehhhh.

Also, assuming Candy Universe C gets scratched, would that mean that in their version of Deltritus had Sburb portals opening up across the planet already, too, or not, you think? Probably not due to the effects of the black hole, but it’s fun to think about.

In any case, whatever's there, the implication is that the seed for it got carried over from the A2 session. Meaning Sburb/Sgrub has had this planned for a long, LONG time already.

This update did so much for us.

It canonized the non-credit snaps, meaning those Halloween snaps are also canon. And the fact that Jack Noir and Ms. Paint are in Universe C, on the moon.

Heheh, the rebellion shot a piece out of the moon and now it's perpetually crescent, like every moon symbol in Homestuck. And it's what the B2 session's Derse, Prospit & LOTAK ended up looking, I think?

But mainly. Jake grew up! In one conversation, he finally had enough of Jane's egotripping and spoke up!

Man, Tavros' childhood is like a mirror to Dave's, only his trauma is immediately apparent to us, since we read about it in the Epilogues. He ended up all softspoken and twitchy, Tavros like.

And that reference to Hiveswap! Yup, Jake's parenting skills leave something to be desired. At least he was there for Tavros more than Jude and Joey. And he used his Page powers to cure Tavros' allergy! The curse has been lifted!

Meanwhile, the first time is occuring where all Earth C kids are in the same room together. But it's the backdrop to this, the long overdue Jane & Jake heart-to-heart. In the spirit of Homestuck history, it occurs while they're not even in the same room nor even facetiming!

At least Jane acknowledges, finally, she did Tavros wrong. In fact, she sounded more like the old Jane than ever before.

But I think Jake might be on the right track. She might have internalized too much of the Condescension's megalomany.

Where Tavros was formed by his childhood into a personality close to Alternian Tavros… Jane internalized (consciously and subconsciously) so much of the Condescension's bullshit that she might have fit in as a fuschiablood!

I've always felt bad about not really doing anything with her, so I'm super excited to really flesh her out now!

I've always really liked the NPC type characters in Twst, so I thought it would be fun if Ruthie was one too! Especially because I wanted to make an event centered around her, where she meets some of the NRC cast! (Like how Glorious Masquerade has Rollo and Playful Land has Fellow Honest!)

Though since she is from the Queendom of Roses, she is familiar with a few people from NRC! The main person being Trey, due to working at the rival bakery. When she first met Trey she thought his name was Tray, and that his parents named him after a baking tray.

Essentially:

Ruthie: I'm Ruthie! It's so nice to meet you Tray! Wait...Tray? Like a baking tray? *claps her hands together, eyes sparkling* Oh, that's so clever! You truly are from a family of bakers!

Her and Trey are acquaintances/sort of friends?, knowing of each other and making small talk whenever they see the other. She knows of Riddle through Trey but has never officially met him, and does know Che'nya (again just acquaintances/sort of friends)

Trey was one of the characters I was considering shipping her with, but I think I might have their relationship be more platonic instead, I'm honestly still not sure....

I still need to think about what character from NRC to include in her event (which essentially means who her romance options are lol), but I do plan on including Yuu! Just cause I like the idea of her visiting Yuu at Night Raven/Ramshackle after the event where they meet, wanting to play matchmaker for them!
