#doodles#art#self portrait#dat me#illustration#fashion#1940s#1950s#vintage fashion#the roses were embroidered. and they were actually Above the belt not below it#thats the only change i made because realistically i just dont have enough room dhjbdshjbf#i cant remember how they fit. it was a large patch but there isn't a lot of space on your side there#esp not with the high waist and the belt#basically i had a dream and at one point i ended up in california in some really high end dress shop that Only sold vintage styled dresses#and i grabbed a Bunch. and i tried on this one. and then i was so excited about it i went 'oh shit i need to wake up so i can write#this down before i forget!!!' and then i did wake up. and i did write it down in detail. and then i realized i'd never get to try the rest#of those dresses and i was so mad lmfao. it did also come in pink though! i dont know how i know that. i think i grabbed a pink one but i#didnt get to actually try it on#i remember thinking in my dream it was the prettiest dress i'd ever seen. i still think its a pretty dress and i'd wear it tbh

before and after pics of a gas mask bag i got at an antique store a couple years ago, wasn’t quite happy with how I decorated it so i decided to rework it
i painted all the patches except for the sunflowers on the strap of the bag, those were leftover fabric from a t-shirt i used to make the back patch for my vest
the buttons i bought while working at faire this year and one of the pins and the aroace star was made by one of my partners :-)

Figured I'd show it off before the whole doll jacket is sewn together. I am tickled pink by how cute this pie embroidery came out for the back detailing for this little plaid jacket X3 I may have to make more pie embroideries in the future, though I will be using seed beads next time as the French knots were a bit annoying to do for the cherries.

He was just vibing with XXC at the wrong time.#I also love A-qing for being quick on the uptake that these two are so similar its practically like a mirror image.#This also mirrors song lan's first/last appearance with the bff sundae. XY finally gets his revenge (having a domestic life with a bff).#((XXC has no idea what the t-shirt says. He just needed a spare. I like to think XY sewed and embroidered it personally))#I will get into my xue yang thoughts more later but...man I will always wonder how things would have gone if song lan never showed up#xxc never should have run away (out of shame for causing SL harm). Also I struggled for way to long trying to figure out how to take a picture of the embroidery while wearing the shorts before it occurred to me that I did not have to wear these shorts to take a picture of them

straight up i will make any excuse to hang out with friends. do you wanna go to the library & study different things in silence do you want to get fast food & then sit in a carpark and talk shit do you want me to drive you home even tho you already have a bus you can catch & im not even with you. because 1 i like seeing my friends and 2 gives me an excuse to wear a funky outfit
