i know it is very fucking hard to be any kind of optimistic in the face of such hatred winning, but no political fight ends with an election. feel your feelings and let them keep propelling you to fight for change, for any win possible, for any and every step toward positive change - because being defeatist gets you nowhere, and there are so many people out there already actively fighting the rise of fascism. that won’t stop. people have been fighting this fight since before we were born. so i love you, this isn’t the end of the world, it is always possible for things to be changed and improved and we don’t give up, ever. it’s gonna be okay.

imagine it. sherlock returns in 2026. the baby is gone. what baby? the baby never existed. all the conspirators are vindicated. sherlock and john fuck nasty and the skull with glowing eyes on the wall watches. mystrade is canon. there is never any mention of his sister again and we still don’t know if sherlock’s best friend was a boy or a dog and at this point everyone is too afraid to ask.

one of the most devastating shots for me in the s2 trailer is this one of stede surveying the absolute state of his ship. look at his face. that’s a man in turmoil right there

pinterest showed me some screenshots of posts that gave me the concept for an au where both harry and ron are sorted slytherin & draco is just slightly less rude in the first book. i could go into why i think this makes a lot of sense for ron but i won't. i've affectionately dubbed them the platinum quartet in my head and they will not leave me the fuck alone

they were going to get married. we were going to see them struggle with the inn, and grow together, and overcome new obstacles. we were going to see how the crew’s journey came to a close, where the revenge ended up, what happened with their plans for prince ricky. we were going to see them fight for each other one last time. we got a happy ending in case this very thing happened, but we didn’t get THE happy ending - the one david jenkins has had in mind the whole time. ed and stede weren’t finished, the crew weren’t finished, their stories hadn’t truly concluded and i am so sad.

he’s unhinged but he makes sure the crew has cake. he imagines the love of his life as a merman swimming to save him. he makes a figment of his own mind ring the bell in his imaginary inn. he’s high as shit. he’s wearing a pearl necklace with his hair in a messy bun. he ripped the ship’s wheel off after steering it into a storm. he painted a little bride cake topper to look like him. he’s crying on the floor every night. he conjured up a little pig to follow him around in purgatory. he’s thrown knives at every available surface. and have you seen his eyes. literally nobody is doing it like ed teach.

after a solid two years drawing almost exclusively either locked tomb dykes or one piece freaks, these wizard guys feel like they look far too normal. almost nobody's even missing an eye or anything. anyway, i keep getting hit by how young the marauders generation actually is... snape was around 32-33 in the second book.

rip to anyone thinking the show has nothing left to give like did you not listen to djenks when he said he has a 3 series arc in mind, did you not see ed gazing at stede during lucius and pete’s wedding because that man wants to put a ring on it so bad, were you not there when zheng very loudly said she wants to find ricky and kill him for what he did, do you think they can just slaughter a dozen british and escape by the skin of their teeth and that be the end of it? there is still a giant fucking looming threat to the pirates and it will absolutely extend to ed and stede’s ramshackle inn whether they think they’ve truly retired or not (not to mention the new conflicts they’ll face trying to get this new venture up and running, that will be a sitcom in of itself). anyway revenge is still on the water and i don’t just mean the ship and i cannot wait to see how it all goes down. praying we actually get to.

cap wasn’t fit to fight in the war. he died of a heart attack because his body couldn’t handle the stress. he wasn’t the strongest or most agile. he was a middle-aged man with aches and pains and creaky joints. and he spends his afterlife running lap after lap of the grounds, timing it, trying to be better, faster. he isn’t as supple as the day he died, because he never was. and i just think after years of him trying to prove himself, trying to sell this image of the athletic soldier (that nobody was ever buying) that it’s wonderful he gets to use his body for other things. he skips with kitty, he dances with the ghosts, he puts on a panto, he can be carefree and silly.
