I wound up shipping Ratchet from Robots 2005 and Transformers Prime Starscream and I don’t know how that happened.

(I’ve literally never seen TFP and I watched Robots like once as a kid but I don’t remember Ratchet at all.)

(Literally what happened is I noticed how TFP screamer and ratchet looked very similar, then I read on tv tropes that they both have girly screams, then I decided they must be cousins, and right now I’m like ‘nah they aren’t cousins but they are boyfriends and they freak out about just about everything all the time but they support each other through it <3’.)

Initially I thought they were like angel wings (which yeah, they are) and it's great symbolism because of his whole false Prime thing. He has this façade about being a noble leader and all that and he probably thinks that he's Primus' gift to the universe. The Devil disguised as an angel. Or something something the Devil was once the most beautiful angel of all. Idk lotsa places you can go with the angel symbolism.

HOWEVER

They're GOLDEN. You know who else had golden wings? Icarus. Who flew too close to the sun. Who's entire myth is about hubris and how pride can be your undoing. Does that sound familiar to you guys???

Sentinel flew too close to the sun believing that he could kill the Primes and seize all that wealth and power with no consequence. He thought that he was sooo great and nothing bad would ever happen to him because he won!!! And then he got too comfortable and sloppy and everything he built fell apart in just one day.

Whilst I try and compose myself after watching the mirror scene all I can say is

I think that’s possibly one of the most beautiful and touching sex scenes I have… ever seen???? They’re usually so exaggerated to the point where it’s just silly and a pain to watch but omg??? This one… although it was somewhat uncomfortable to watch, it was because it felt so REAL like we were all intruding on this very intimate but sweet moment

The awkwardness, the tenderness, Colin constantly checking in, the way it didn’t really last long but then Pen asking for ANOTHER ROUND like oh my god I am ruined

please elaborate on the idea of a cas widower arc because I'm very intrigued 👀 frankly I think he would do his best to grin and bear it because he's always in that soldier mindset or whatever, but the concept of cas having a nuclear meltdown over dean dying is soooo good. he can muscle his way through anything - except the loss of his husband. plus maybe then he would understand what dean goes through every 3 seasons lol

Cas hunt Sam for sport

Sam hunt Cas for sport

Sam and Cas both hunt Crowley for sport (together and separately. Like in s10 but if s10 were better)

Go completely lone wolf and then have a moment where he realizes that there's no one in the entire universe who's going to bust his balls about it. I think he might cry or commit a murder

Try to hookup with someone who looks like Dean and peace out halfway through

Have an actual argument with Jack and pull a disappearing act afterwards (avoidant king) (only works if this is late seasons Destiel)

Form a codependent relationship with Sam but they can't stand each other long enough to hang out for longer than five minutes

Have a fight with Sam over who understood Dean better

Give himself bangs

Make deals with ancient primordial creatures to bind Dean's soul to his grace to bring him back, but doesn't read the fine print and now Dean is immortal so he immediately dips and doesn't talk to Dean for ten years out of embarrassment

On a more serious note I would love love love a Cas Widower arc where Dean's death is the final straw that makes him turn is back on Heaven for good and stop trying to fix it and the angels.

Does anyone else find it sort of upsetting how widely popular House M.D. has seemingly become in online queer spaces with how violently acephobic and intersexist it is? Like, I don’t want to pretend that it’s only queerphobic towards aces and intersex people, because the show definitely engages in its fair share of early-2000s-typical casual transphobic and homophobic language, and I do think it’s pretty biphobic that, from what I remember of the show, they made 13 (the one canonically bisexual character) a promiscuous party girl tm.

But the show is extremely vitriolic towards intersex and asexual people, and I wish that the people who treat it like a haha funny toxic yaoi show would at least fucking acknowledge that. The show actively reinforces the ideas about intersex bodies which are used to justify the nonconsensual mutilation of intersex children. And the way the show treats asexuality is abysmal. I saw someone on here once say that it’s “funny” that House is canonically aphobic, as if it’s just a joke that the House episode about asexuality actively supports the idea that asexuals are all either liars or medically unwell and in need of “fixing”. Why is pro-conversion therapy rhetoric suddenly funny when it’s directed towards us?

I’m not saying that no one is allowed to enjoy the show at all. Hell, I used to really enjoy it too, at least before I got to the asexuality episode (shortly after finding out I’m ace and before I had ever seen even a single other representation of asexuality in mainstream media). But like. Can people at least stop outright ignoring the absolutely detrimental effects this show had on the ace community and the intersex community?
