Let's talk about condoms.

This may be a strange question, but I need it for the next chapter of "Unforgivable Mistake". Is Joel allowed to use condoms? I don't ask if he wants to. But could he? And of course I mean Joel after the epidemic. Using condoms left over from before the pandemic is probably not a good idea. "The shelf life of condoms is usually several years (usually 4-5) from the date of production. Using them after the expiry date increases the risk of rupture of the synthetic sheath and reduces the effectiveness of contraception." So… They don't have condoms. But what if FEDRA produces some?
