Phew, it's been... 7 years since I've last been here ? that's so strange to me fjfjf I'm 29 now, and back at 22 (according to my header) I understood nothing of this website's logic 💦 it was hell to navigate, I couldn't chat properly with people and didn't know how to connect with the fandom. I ended up drawing Haikyuu stuff on paper on my own, without getting to share it even tho I had my mind FULL and did so much art and comics...

But I've also been kind of judgemental on here, so I know I have some cleaning ahead of me ; but I'm also kind of excited to be back 💕 see you, tumblr

But she couldn't help it, it was in her nature. First her mother. Now Joseph. "Please. I'm not asking much..." The volume of her words dropped with each syllable until they were barely audible. "Just... take care of yourself. Please." It felt like there was so much hanging between them with her plea. What would she do if he said no, if he admitted that he would never change and she wasn't enough for him to just not hurt himself this way anymore? She wished she could say that she would walk away... But she couldn't. They'd be stuck in this toxic song and dance no matter what answer he gave. The next time he got into a fight or drank himself into a stupor, she'd be right back at his door, reliving this conversation again and again and again.

He recognizes that voice below, though he has not heard it in quite a long time now. Perhaps one curse of being so long-lived was the way time flowed differently for people like Doomstar and Elise. Days, weeks, months, even years tended to blur together at times. What feels like just yesterday could very well be a decade ago for them. But that’s a little bit of a stretch here, surely it hasn’t been that long, has it?

The starry-eyed magician turns to face her from where he’s perched on the roof of an old, abandoned building, a couple of tools in his hands and his telescope now at his back. By all means, Doomstar should be asleep right now so he’ll be wide awake come nightfall, but he had projects to attend to, and he would not rest until he saw them to completion. His smile is soft as he greets her, warm and inviting, and he waves a hand at her.

“Well hey there, lady! I’m doing just fine. Keeping myself busy, you know? Gotta set up for the Perseid meteor shower this weekend. It’s supposed to reach its peak soon.”

He moves to sit on the edge of the roof, letting his feet dangle over the edge. “What have you been up to? Wanna come sit up here?”
