You know what maybe what I actually need is to find friends to talk to because my problems never seem big enough for a therapist, like the therapist always wants to find the, the big thing that's ruining my life and I keep telling them no this is just how it is and they're like but that's not that bad. But when I was talking to friends regularly they could say hey that's fucked up, don't internalize that miniscule situation, let's go do something distracting and that was helpful, for me, anyway.

Until I found out that they were really horrifying racists actually and ultimately believed I shouldn't have rights to my own body. That's pretty fucked up too, that the people that supported me and listened to me were shitty. Maybe that did something to me. That would be worth talking out with a therapist.

Or maybe that wouldn't be a big enough problem either. Who knows? Cuz I'm broke so we won't be finding that out! And also pretty distressed so I won't be making friends to find out about it either lol!

tim + brentwood characters as boys i was legitimately friends with in high school and think of every single day:

Buzz- Jake (fake names for all of my friends bc privacy reasons) who complained about hanging out with nerds, got into a fistfight with someone else on his football team bc they called us nerds, was thoroughly convinced he'd run laps faster if he was hopped up on pixie stix (i held his backback while he got sick in the bathroom👍👍), he tried to hit on my older sister and she laughed at him, he was so put out he contemplated becoming a monk for a week

Wes: Max, who i helped sneak an entire bottle of orange juice on to the bus to our choir competition, but was unaware he brought a full bottle of vodka as well, ended up crying on our choir teacher for the three hours after the comp and i bought him a box of donuts after school, he did not stop doing this and had severe beef with a kid he knew in 5th grade and hadnt seen since but also hadnt forgotten their name and last i knew, was still awaiting for a dreaded confrontation to eventually come

Kip: Eduardo, who we all thought was studying during lunch but was actually filling his notebook with weird facts he observed about us and also managed to chew several packs of gum at once throughout our math class before the teacher noticed him, didnt know the plot to the clockwork orange so i lied about it for 5 weeks before he read it and called me just to tell me "you lying frog" befire he hung up

Ali: Ángel, who lied several times on separate occasions to the campus security about where people smoked, forgot what chihuahuas were twice, and almost drowned when he was swimming except his older brother got him and he immediately called me while waiting for the ambulance to tell me he almost fucking died, randomly sang a song about crabs he made up throughout the day

Danny: Ben, helped me with my biology homework because i helped him with essays, once released a live rat into the computer classroom because he had beef with the teacher, once texted me at 11 p.m. because he was having a mental breakdown over his chem work before he realized he was actually looking at trig and i told him id shoot him with a tranq gun if he woke me up like this again, kept forgetting how to tie his shoes

Tim: Teddy, he catfished 6 men over the age of 30 by pretending to be a 13 yr old girl and lured them to the part of town where there is an absurd amount of wild dogs that evade animal control and are known to maul humans, i watched him lockpick the english teacher's door so he could take back an essay he wrote bc it was actually a slash fic he printed out and turned in by accident, we hung out at a dennys once and he accidentally put his hand in syrup, looked me dead in the eye and said "i did that bc im gay" and wore pastel pink for a month bc it pissed off the hall monitor, his dad, and also six teachers he didnt even have class with

What made you get into obikin?

It really was the Clone Wars show! Which is funny because when I write them (and read them) I am very much imagining their live action faces and voices because cartoon Obi-Wan is great but cartoon Anakin has weird blob hair and I find it distracting.

But yeah, I was vaguely aware that obikin existed and understood it from the doomed tragedy angle but for all its flaws, TCW gave us more content of Obi-Wan and Anakin being friends and bantering and I think that was what I needed to draw me in. Don't get me wrong, the movies have excellent obikin bickering too but I think it was the episode where Obi-Wan, Anakin and Dooku get captured that had me curiously checking out AO3 because I liked the pair of them annoying Dooku so much.

I was like a year late to the party because I only started watching the show in 2021 but then the Obi-Wan show came out so I guess it all worked out in the end! Thanks for the question 🥰

lowkey why do i kinda miss pre stellarlune tumblr. like, the random keepblr trends were my fav era (totally not biased because i left the fandom and returned post unraveled…)

i remember there was someone - can’t recall who (maybe a blog called lady-cadence-talle?) - who compiled a list of trends each month. ooh, the eye-switching one where we swapped out everybody’s eyes with everybody else’s. hooty vackers. i’m pretty sure someone actually started writing the amsterdam book.

i even miss the 2021-era bloggers. as far as i remember, some we don’t have in the fandom anymore (or people who aren’t as active maybe?) are nova, juline-dizznee (or was it jolie-reuwen? something like that), i remember someone named mellie? and of course, the leader of the sokeefe fics, the unmapped star (nattie) who is still active in the fandom i believe.

i remember the chaos after shannon’s first child’s birth, there was also an era where everyone drew the characters in the strawberry dress, and how can i forget… pink haired fitz. oh how i miss pink haired fitz. there was also a time where everyone made posts about how keeper characters would react if the roles were changed and they were real people and we were the book characters. who they would like the most, who they would ship, etc.

might be silly since it’s been barely 2 years, but i miss that keepblr. (lockdown keepblr, perhaps?) nostalgia seems to be hitting hard since i’m going to go to college this year LOL

You're not the only one. Keepblr is quite transient; people constantly come and go, meaning the environment, trends, and the like are different practically every year. There's always lots to enjoy, but there's also lots to miss

I've seen people missing how prevalent queer headcanons/works used to be. We still have them, but not as many. I've seen people who preferred the time before sokeefe was quite so present. It's always been here, but the last year or so it's really stepped up. And a while back, I, myself, was reminiscing on keepblr lockdown with Ink (soryasongsaa) and Tater (a-lonely-tatertot).

There's also lots of people to miss. cadence-talle did the chaos wrap-ups, but Lynn's not really around anymore and we aren't nearly chaotic enough for wrap-ups anymore. Nova's still here (cogaytes), though most people call them Avi (unless you meant someone else). Not sure about juline-dizznee. Mellie occasionally still does art (lemontarto). And Nattie drops in from time to time. But there's also so many people who have moved on, and so many people who have started to distance themselves. The tag is made up of almost completely different people--though there's also that steady handful who've been here for an eternity

We can't go back and we'll never recreate what was, but we can make the most of what we do have. And make something else to look back on fondly.

So I guess the moral of this story is we need to go feral and start causing more chaos again <3
