I honestly do hate it when people try to paint Remy LeBeau as an awful boyfriend/husband to Rogue. He’s not.

Does Remy have flaws? Yes, especially in the beginning! But, he grows from it and they both work through their problems TOGETHER.

I know Gambit did push some of Rogue’s buttons in the beginning of their relationship but he did grow from it if you actually read the comics.

Also to anyone saying “why doesn’t he just get Rogue to wear a collar or something?” Remy wouldn’t make Rogue do that, especially when he knows those collars do drain her. If she wants to put one on he will make sure before she goes through with it. He also experienced how painful one of the collars were!! So no he wouldn’t make Rogue wear one unless she absolutely wants to!!!

Also trying to call him a cheater feels super SUPER wrong to me because both cases of “cheating” I’ve seen people try to point out to me look more like sexual assault/harassment 😭 To me personally it looks that way, with how that woman practically drags him into that room after he constantly says no and then Mystique cornering him in his room and taking Rogue’s form 😐 also before anyone asks about that stupid Mystique situation; No. I do not think Gambit slept with Rogue’s mom. After how he tried to say he didn’t do anything and was shut down by everyone? Yeah no, I don’t think he did anything and everyone else was just being an ass.

Remy LeBeau has flaws, yes, but he’s not a bad boyfriend or husband. He and Rogue both have problems throughout the comics about their relationship that they both talk about and work out together.

God I’m genuinely sorry for all the rants lately. I promise I’m not a ranting blog 💀

I actually debated really hard with myself rather to post this or not, especially with the SH part.

I recently saw a post on Reddit from a small indie game dev team that was frustrated about how their game, which had a demo but wasn't out yet, wasn't receiving the reception that they had hoped, and was asking for advice on what they could do to improve.

The community responses were a bit hostile, but the dev in control of the posting account was really good about sifting through the feedback and finding what was helpful and compiling the feedback as changes they would make, and overall was very polite, positive, and receptive.

But what's stuck out to me is that this game dev team, which I assume were American because they were talking in English and had American voice actors in their game, had put their game in the JRPG category on steam. And the community said they shouldn't do that, not because they aren't a Japanese dev team and it's not a Japanese game, but because their game doesn't have a JRPG flavor and wouldn't fit in the "genre".

And I've been thinking about that for days now since I saw the post.

Can we please stop using JRPG as a genre? JRPGs are just as varied as anything. It's like saying all anime is meant for the same audience, or all manga. There is not a JRPG flavor.

A comment left on a video about the JPRG The Dark Spire that has plagued me since I saw it said "Can you really call it a JRPG when it's heavily inspired by western table top games?" And like, yeah bud, it's a Japanese game that was localized so you could play and enjoy it, the J in JRPG means Japanese. It doesn't mean a specific flavor or genre. Pokemon does not have the same flavor or genre as dragon quest, or etrian odyssey, or persona.

Sorry to go in a bit of a rant, but, just seeing an American indie RPG, set in a medieval European setting, be labeled as a JRPG, and then have people disagree with that for the wrong reasons, I'm still dealing with the whiplash.

Hot 4am take but I feel like if we want to get people more interested in making their yards a more habitable space for wildlife like insects, we have to acknowledge that ‘Don’t want bugs in your house’ is still a 100% fair and valid point of view. ‘Loves nature’ and ‘doesn’t want roaches spiders and mosquitoes in the house’ aren’t opposites.

The envy Arthur and Lancelot would have had for each other must have been insane.

Because Merlin is secretive with Lancelot. He tells him things he would never tell Arthur, he opens up to him and Arthur knows he can never have that trust. Never have that closeness not while he’s king and Merlin a servant.

But to Lancelot he’s been secretive about protecting Arthur. It all resolves around Arthur, opening up about protecting Arthur, giggling over using magic to please Arthur. Lancelot knows it will never be him on the other side of the devotion not like this.

just like he will never be Gwen’s because she loved him once yes but at the end of the day it’s Arthur she chooses.

and in Arthur’s eyes Lancelot is Gwen’s first love will always be known as such and will always be looked at as such even if she loves him she loved Lancelot first and Arthur can’t help but think if she could have him she would.

Anyway I’m so sane about them and at the end of the day how they still understand why it’s like this because they would choose the other as well.

Zoro drunkenly (or while tipsy) confesses his love to Sanji one night but, in the same breath, tells him it’s okay—he knows Sanji is straight and is fine with them remaining "only" crewmates, he just had to get these feelings out of his system. And Sanji is overwhelmed because ???? Where is this even coming from? Why is the mosshead suddenly saying these things? This isn’t how their relationship is supposed to work. They don’t do the whole talking thing, especially not about serious topics?? When they have emotions to work through they fight each other, maybe throw in an insult or two. But this? This is unfamiliar territory for Sanji, so he’s really not sure how to react, much less respond.

So he doesn’t; he just stares at Zoro, his mouth opening and closing. Zoro takes that as his sign, gets up from the stairs he’d been sitting on, and leaves for the sleeping quarters. It is quite late, after all.

The next morning while preparing breakfast Sanji is oh so tense. He’s still mostly confused because there’s just no way the green-haired brute could harbor any such feelings toward another human being—least of all him—could he? And what if this does change things? Zoro said it wouldn’t, but who's to say?

And Zoro acts like nothing ever happened, he's just the same old moss ball that drinks too much Sake and takes way too many naps during the day and Sanji is so confused and he's getting angry now, because how can he act so nonchalant while the cook is over here losing his god damn mind over this? Does Zoro maybe not remember confessing? Had he been that drunk?

And obviously Zoro DOES remember, and he's NOT calm at all. He's freaking out internally every time he and Sanji are in the same room, but he'd rather lose his remaining eye than have anyone notice. So he does his best to play it cool. And yeah, maybe he takes a nap or two more than usual, and maybe he spends even more time working out in the crow's nest than is strictly necessary, but that is nobody’s business but his own, isn’t it?

Bla bla bla cue Sanji questioning the universe and his existence, freaking out over his sexuality, sloooowly coming to terms with it and then freaking out again about telling Zoro and what it means for the crew dynamic etc etc.

Also Robin being somewhere in the background of the story, smiling to herself, sipping on her tea, because of course she knows something is up, and she has a pretty good idea of what it is about, even if she doesn’t know the whole story, because she knows pretty much everything that’s going on on the sunny, cause she’s the responsible older sister™️.

I have never attempted to write anything before, not even a rough draft like this, but Zosan has been living in my head rent free for the past few months now, and once the idea for a possible plot popped up in my mind I absolutely needed to note it down. Oh well, I hope I am not embarrassing myself too much by posting this.
