I just vented out a whole rant about how aromantisim is treated within Hazbin/helluva. I'm not really sure if I should post it for multiple reasons, one of which being I don't want anyone to feel targeted about it or take it the wrong way (like I honestly dont have beef with Al shippers. Gripes, but no beef as I also ship him on occasion).

There was just a sudden burst of frustration I had with it that I think was in part just came from built up frustration from other things. There's things I'd like to have out there, but I don't really think it'd get far or, again, be just taken the wrong way. I don't see a point in posting if people are gonna ignore it, plus it wouldn't change how things are now. If anyone has any thoughts or are curious let me know, but I don't wanna make anyone feel like shit or put a pointless rant out there no one wanted to see. I also wanna keep rants to a minimum as I know people aren't always into that sort of stuff, especially if you don't follow someone for that and you just get an influx of posts of them complaining. And I still want to keep things relatively light hearted around here, at best maybe just some critiques on things here and there.

It's late, I'm on my phone when I should probably just sleep it off, so sleep it off I will.

it honestly crushes me to no end that my sibling hates sleep token with a burning passion.

they are one of the most musically literate people i’ve ever known, bastard can teach themself any instrument they want in minimal time. (for example, they were early to a piano lesson so in the 15 minutes they had to wait they taught themselves a song on cello. they had never touched a cello before)

but their hatred of sleep token means i have no one with a similar (and stronger) musical knowledge to discuss the music in depth. my theory is shaky at best and i’ve never liked it, but my sibling knows all of it. and i so desperately need someone i can scream about the musical genius that is vessel. his arrangements and vocal choices and breath control and and and…

there’s so much to cover and no one in my life with the knowledge to go over it with that will enjoy it. it’s awful lol

these past two, three years i have been trying to break the curse of being the "going-out friend" that only gets invited when drinks are involved. i'd love to tag along in book shops, at cafés, at museums and trips. i'd love to cook dinner with someone, with anyone. i've made some progress actually, which is cool. i just need to get past the part of feeling like i'm a parasite in other people's lives unless i'm there as a drunken jester

mused on some thesis about how billions uses Indignity to illustrate that something someone does has failed / gone wrong in one way or another, and how the way this punishment is an Emotional one means that it can't land if the character just doesn't Feel that punished by it, or at least doesn't like attribute the supposed failure to something inherent enough to them to particularly stew on it, see for example people heightening/escalating their efforts to embarass someone if even that person doesn't Seem to sufficiently externally react in embarassment. winston able to truck along while (a) consciously crafting or maintaining some persona, of eternal and irrefutable dignity or whatever else is associated with "merit"/status, isn't much of a priority, when to him his skills speak for themself even though to others this is about their own merit in recognizing independently if winston's skills Happen to have use, and putting him down if he tries to speak to that anyways, and (b) he's also just able to move along from L's handed to him, whether he thinks it was warranted (like that he'll accept it doesn't count if he only thought it but didn't say it) or not (why can't you count to loyalty), when even if this resilience To How Others Treat Him isn't exactly peak realistic, that he thinks of himself in such a way that he doesn't need to be striving for some paramount official status, or think he's defined by never failing or indeed never possibly able to be seen within a "wow undignified / embarassing" framework so long as this winningness is recognized, or so long as anything is anything, is sure feasible enough.

but anyways thought about it like this thesis is just "i am cringe but i am free" like yeah that works
