Dear Kooks, do you have some tips to play D&D alone or some solo RPG? I want to play it so bad, I have a lot of characters sheets ready because I’m so excited, but none of my friends are interested. If you know and could tell me is there some online platform to discover groups to play?
Thanks always!
Hello!
(First of all I need to start posting a bit more about solo rpgs and solo gaming in general cos I gathered some really cool materials and games over last months, so thank You for reminding me of that. Just need some more free time but it's coming, oh it's coming)
I don't have experience playing specifically DnD solo, but I know there are tools for it people recommend. The GeekGamers YouTube channel has TONS (and i say it both as an encouragement and as a warning, because it can be a bit overwhelming) of advice materials, also regarding soloing DnD and solo roleplaying in general. She also wrote a book on solo gaming called Solo Game Master's Guide which if I recall correctly has a chapter on DnD specifically as well. I know people are recommending Mythic Game Master Emulator as a good tool, but I haven't personally tried it yet.
What I can recommend tho is... Ironsworn (check the link, the pdf for the first main game is free). I have been playing it solo recently and I find it very fun and satisfying. It's a system based on Powered by the Apocalypse rules framework, so not that close to DnD rules, but if you are looking for a solo rp with some more rules structure I recommend taking a look at this game because it is designed specifically for solo playing (but it can be co-oped and GMed too). You can alter the world of the game freely (and the author encourages you to do that) or use the rules in existing setting, so you can adjust it to your liking (tho i do encourage you to try the setting offered by the book first, together with its world creation process: 1) it's very cool, 2) you will get a grip of the rules in their natural environment)
I found I need a couple of additional oracle tables aside of the ones the book has, but these you can pick up as you go according to your needs, there is plenty online, and a lot of free ones too. Other than that everything you need you have in the free book.
I also recommend taking a look at some actual play of an Ironsworn game (or other games, you can find some examples of actual solo plays on GeekGamers channel too) to get a bit of an idea how people think about running a solo session and how they build a story on their own, and perhaps taking something away from it for yourself. For Ironsworn specifically I super enjoy and highly recommend The Bad Spot podcast. It has several seasons of Ironsworn: Starforge game (Ironsworn's younger brother set in space, but the rules and the idea of how the game runs are basically the same) but also some loose talks about solo gaming in general.
OTHER THAN THAT: I encourage you to look around and see what the solo gaming scene has to offer. There is so many interesting games (some with more rules structure, but also journaling games, choose your own adventure-like games, solo hacks for existing systems, and more etc etc, a whole new world to discover really), it's worth checking regardless of having a group to play with or not. I will try to get back to posting more actively on these topics, cos there is a lot of stuff I would love to share, so fingers crossed I won't get distracted lol.
Cheers!

Daggerheart Character Build thoughts!
I am actually out at work and haven't checked the version that's since come out, but I did participate in the character build beta, and the NDA is officially lifted, so here's my thoughts from that! It's definitely limited since I just made a L1 character and didn't go through gameplay, though I surmise about some aspects of gameplay.
Overall, it clearly seems to be made by people who love a lot of things about D&D 5e but wanted both more flexibility and more simplicity, which is difficult. I think they succeed.
To that end, it takes away some of the crunchier aspects (precise positioning, exact amounts of gold) and I think for some people that will be a problem, and that's valid, but ultimately this game wants to both allow for interesting mechanics in and out of combat while also not being terribly math/map/resource management heavy. It is a hard line to walk; most systems either go hard crunch or go entirely gooey.
The dice mechanic (2d12, Hope and Fear system) is fantastic; look it up but I think it handles mixed successes more gracefully and interestingly than a lot of games.
The playtest was not super clear on armor and evasion choices (or indeed what evasion means; it seems to be sort of initiative but sort of dex save, or maybe more like the Pathfinder/old school D&D varying ACs by scenario?). It was much, MUCH clearer than D&D on weapon choices (part of why I play casters? Weapon rules in D&D are annoying and poorly explained and many people rightfully ignore them) so I'm hoping this becomes clear when there's a full guide rather than just the character creation info.
The character creation questions by class were fantastic and in general, and this is a theme, this feels like it guides people towards collaboration. FWIW I feel like D&D has that information, but the way it's presented is very much as flavor text rather than a thing you should be doing. Daggerheart makes this a much more core part of creation. The Experience mechanic is particularly clear: you better be working with your GM and really thinking about background, rather than slapping it on as a mechanic.
The other side of character creation questions is that it really encourages engagement with the class, which is something I've talked about. I think either subversion for the sake of subversion, or picking a class for the mechanics and aesthetic but not the fundamental concept, will be much harder to justify in Daggerheart, and I think that's a good thing because when people do that, their characters tend to be weaker.
The downtime is designed for you to write hurt/comfort fanfic about and this is a compliment. There are a number of mechanics that reward RP, particularly one of the healing mechanics under the Splendor track. I feel like a weakness of D&D is that when you try to reward RP it's really nebulous because there's not actually a ton of space to put that - you can give inspiration, but, for example, the empathy domain Matt homebrewed actually feels kind of off because it's based on such fuzzy concepts amid mechanics that are usually more rigid. Daggerheart comes off as much cleaner yet still RP-focused, and I'm excited to see it in action.
A judgement of Candela and I suppose Daggerheart might be that it's designed for actual play. I've mentioned before that I know people who are super into the crunch and combat and numbers of TTRPGs and are less story-oriented, and again, that's valid, but actual play is just storytelling using a ttrpg and so yes, a game that encourages RP while also having mechanics to support that and influence it is an extremely good goal. I am not an actual player, but I do like D&D games with a good plot and not just Go Kill Monsters, and I want to play this. (I also have some real salty thoughts about how if you modify an existing game for AP purposes that's staggering genius apparently, but if you make your own game how dare you but that's another post).
And now, the classes/subclasses. I am going to sort of use D&D language to describe them because that's a point of reference most people reading this will understand, but they are not one-to-one. A couple notes: everyone can use weapons and armor. HP is not totally clear to me but it seems to be threshold based - everyone has the same HP to start but people have different thresholds and armor, so the tank classes have the same amount of HP but are much harder to actually do damage to.
All classes are built on a combination of a subclass and two domains. There are 9 classes and 9 domains. This technically means that if you wanted to fuck around and homebrew you could make up to 36 classes (27 additional) by just grabbing two domains that weren't otherwise combined, which is fun to consider for the potential. Anyway I cover the classes and briefly describe domains within them. You can take any domain card within your domain, regardless of subclass.
There are six stats. Presence, Instinct, Knowledge, and Strength map roughly to Charisma, Wisdom, Intelligence, and Strength. Dex is split into Agility and Finesse; Agility covers gross motor skills (jumping, most ranged weapons, "maneuvering") and Finesse finer ones (lockpicking and tinkering, though also it does cover hiding). The really big wins are first, no CON score, so you don't need to sink stat points into something that grants no skills but keeps you alive. The second one is that the "hybrid" classes spellcast from their physical stat. This is fucking fantastic. The thing about ranger or paladin or the spellcasting subclasses of rogue and fighter in D&D is that if you don't roll pretty well you're locked into the core stats and CON and nothing else. (This also doesn't have rolling for stats: you assign +2 to one stat, presumably your main, and then distribute two +1s, two 0s, and one -1.)
Your HP, Evasion, and Thresholds are set by class, and there's a core ability; the rest is all from the cards you take for subclass and domain.
Leveling up is very much based on taking more domain cards (abilities) but has a certain degree of flexibility. It's by chunks: in leveling up anywhere levels 2-4, you can, for example, increase your proficiency by +1 once, so if you wanted to do that at level 2 but your fellow player wanted to wait until level 4 and take something else at level 2 instead, they could. It allows for more min-maxing, but also everyone has the same level up rules and differs only in the abilities on the cards, which is very cool.
Bard: Grace (enchantment spells) and Codex (learned spellcaster stuff; the spells available are definitely arcane in vibes) based, Presence is your main stat. The two subclasses map roughly to lore-style stuff and eloquence. Core class ability is sort of like inspiration but not entirely. It's a bard; I like bards a lot, and this is very similar vibes-wise to your D&D bards. If you like D&D bards you will like this.
Druid: Sage (nature spells) and Arcana (raw magical power spellcaster stuff), Instinct is your spellcasting/main stat. The two subclasses are elemental but frankly cooler than circle of the moon, and a more healing/tranquility of nature focused one. I really think Marisha probably gave feedback on this one, because the elemental version is really strong. You do get beastform; it is quite similar to a D&D druid under a different system, as the bard, but the beastform options are, frankly, better and easier to understand.
Guardian: Valor (melee tank/damager) and Blade (damage). Strength based for the most part (Valor mechanics assume strength) though you could go for like, +2 Agility +1 Strength to start. This is barbarian but like. 20 times better. It is, fundamentally, a tank class, and it is very good at it, with one even more tank-focused subclass and one that is more about retaliatory damage. You do have a damage-halving ability once per day, but really guardian's questions are incredible. I think Travis and Ashley likely gave feedback. Also rage doesn't render you incapable of concentration as that doesn't seem to be a thing, so multiclassing seems way more possible (you are, I think, only allowed to do one multiclass, and not until you reach level 5 minimum, which I am in favor of). Yes, you can be a Bardian.
Ranger: This is what I built! It is based on Sage and Bone (movement around the field/dodging stuff) and it is Agility-based, including for spellcasting, which is a MASSIVE help (as is, again, the fact that CON isn't a thing.) The subclasses are basically being really good at navigation, or animal companion. Most importantly to me you can be a ranger with a longsword and you are not penalized; Bone works with either ranged weapons or melee.
Rogue: Midnight (stealth/disguise/assassination spells and skills) and Grace-based. Yes, rogue is by default a spellcaster, which does help a LOT with the vibes for me. One subclass is basically about having lots of connections (as a spy or criminal might) and the other is about magical slinking about. Hiding/sneak attack are also streamlined. I will admit I'm still more interested in…almost everything else, but I think it evened out a lot of rogue weaknesses.
Seraph: Splendor (healing/divine magic) and Valor. This is your Paladin equivalent. It is strength-based for casting, again making hybrid classes way less stressful. Questions for this area also incredible; you do have something not unlike a lay on hands pool as well. Your subclasses are being able to fly and do extra damage; or being able to make your melee weapon do ranged attacks and also some extra healing stuff, the latter of which is my favorite. Yasha vibes from this, honestly. Single downside is this is the only class where they recommend you dump Knowledge. I will not, and I never will. Now that I don't have to make sure CON is high? I am for REAL never giving myself less than a +1 Knowledge in this game.
Sorcerer: Arcana (raw nature of magic/elemental vibes) and Midnight based. Yes, sorcerers and rogues now share a vibe, for your convenient….less enthused feelings. Instinct-based, which intrigues me, and the core features are in fact really good. The two subclasses are either one that focuses on metamagic abilities, or one that is elemental based. I would play this for a long-running game, though it's not my favorite, and I can't say that for D&D sorcerer (except divine soul).
Warrior: Blade and Bone, and the recommended build is Agility but you could do a strength build. Fighter! One subclass is about doing damage and one is about the hope/fear mechanics core to the game that I have NOT talked much about. I will admit, the hybrid martials and Guardian are more interesting to me but you do have good battle knowledge.
Wizard: Codex and Splendor. Wizards can heal in this system; farewell, I will be doing nothing else (jk). Knowledge-based, and you can either go hardcore expertise in knowledge, or be a battle wizard.
Other scattered thoughts: healing is not as big a deal here; there is no pure cleric class! There is also no monk, warlock, or artificer. There is not a way to do monk as a weaponless class really though you might be able to flavor the glowing rings as a monk weapon and play a warrior. Wizard, meanwhile, with the right experiences and high finesse, would allow for some artificer flavor. Cleric and Warlock are the two tough ones and I will admit those are tricky; I feel like you'd have to multiclass (which you cannot do until level 5) between perhaps seraph and a caster class and you're still going to come off very paladin.

Thoughts On The D20 Campaigns I've Watched Thus Far
This is by no means completely exhaustive, it's a mere summary of my absolute BRAINWORMS about this show. Been a long time coming, this one. Under the cut because this is a LONG ONE.
A Crown Of Candy: First campaign I watched. I loved the stakes and how complex these characters were. Brennan getting his murder on was something I didn't expect to like as much as I did. The sets? the design? INCREDIBLE. I want to build Calorum in Minecraft. I bingewatched it and it hurt so badly but I loved it. It was all the bits of Game of Thrones I liked without the bits I don't.
You almost forgot one of the major villains WASN'T made of broccoli. Almost. That levity was sorely needed and it came at very important times.
Ravening War: Watched the Calorum campaigns pretty close together. Found it fascinating how Matt's GM style meshed with the PCs. It felt like the House Of The Dragon to ACOC's Game of Thrones. In the best way. Lou Wilson being actively involved in killing his previous character's own parents. Deus Pa'zuul giving horror and kind of grindhouse energy. Reminded me of a show I like.
A Court Of Fey And Flowers: REGENCY YEARNING. Ruehob! THE COUSINS! Andhera being a constant mood! Aabria serving absolute LOOKS every episode! Loved it. Laughed my ass off and got weirdly invested simultaneously. Really good regency love stories are my absolute kryptonite.
Was introduced by the concept of 'The Goblin Code Of Chivalry' and expected pure comedy. Was wrong. This campaign wrenched my heart out of my chest and restored my faith in love. Also, sidebar: I need to GM or play Good Society these days. Holy shit. I love RP games.
Neverafter: I am spooked senseless and delighted. The fights in this one feel so tense, comparable to ACOC but in a very different sense. I'm a sucker for a really good Fractured Fairy Tale but it has to be very specifically done. The red tokens mechanic made me so happy when I learned how it worked in the finale which I won't spoil but I thought it was a really fun mechanic.
The evolutions of the characters with death was absolutely fascinating. Zac Oyama is now forever a cat to me I'm sorry. And I am blown away by the editing of this season. And Brennan's E1 'make a wisdom saving throw' to Ally out of nowhere is something I enjoyed. It has impacted significantly on my DMing style a LOT as I am someone who likes sharp left turns into horror.
Burrow's End: Currently watching so I can't expand fully on the season but liking it so far! Jasper Cartwright is delightful (he is excellent on Oxventure when he guests on that show which is where I know him from.) The characters all feel so rich and there is clearly something deeply unsettling behind these lovely forest creatures. Never fully understood the Humans Are Cthulhu trope until now. Aabria yet again brings an absolute banger of a campaign and I cannot WAIT to carry on with it
Sorry for the long post, everyone. I'd absolutely recommend 'You Awaken In A Strange Place' on Oxventure for D20 enjoyers who favour the chaotic. It slays me in the best way.

Hi! I'd love your advice/thoughts if you have the time: a friend is interested in trying ttrpgs. Theyre, uh, scifi/fantasy-curious? (such a normie & I love them for it) They love strategy games and stories but are a little nervous about the freeform/rp elements. I'd really like to NOT use 5e as the intro game but having a lot of trouble thinking of another good option for someone who has zero sff/ttrpg background.. (I love reading about your new campaign 🥰) thank you!
hi! there's a bunch of possibilities and almost certainly your friend will need to try out multiple things to find something they really vibe with, but! here are some suggestions. i tried to include a wide variety in terms of mechanics, vibes, genre etc.
Savage Worlds. this system is setting-neutral so it can be as SFF (or not!) as you like. it has some mechanical crunch but not nearly as much as, say, d&d or pathfinder so it's likely easier for beginners to pick up. easy to prepare encounters on the gm side and character creation is super customizable.
Fiasco. this is a gm-less oneshot-style game that i think does a great job of dropping players into narrative roleplay with JUST enough guidance from the rules. the game is designed to simulate a caper gone wrong. all players share narrative control, which can be intimidating for newbies, but is also great practice of doing that kind of thing.
Shadowdark, for a dungeon-delving OSR style game. i haven't gotten the chance to play this myself but I've read through the rulebook and hope to run some games someday. the rules are not as complicated as d&d, but still provide great structure and opportunity for strategy. there's also a cool real-time element of tracking light sources (each torch only lasts for one IRL hour) which is fun. i feel like it's a good introduction to old-school style ttrpgs with a modern twist.
systems like Powered by the Apocalypse (i.e. Monster of the Week) and Forged in the Dark (i.e. Blades in the Dark, Scum and Villainy) are narrative-driven and fiction-focused games that are often recommended for beginner players. IMO, these kinds of games really push players (and GMs!) to approach games entirely from the fiction side of things, which can be challenging, especially if your friend isn't comfortable with that kind of thing yet. i did want to suggest them though because they might be the flavor of game your friend would enjoy, and there's a ton of varied genres within these systems.
and finally, if you're looking for a mechanically crunchy game similar to d&d that's better than d&d, Pathfinder 2e is your friend. it's high fantasy and rules heavy, so it may not be the vibe, but if your friend is looking for strategy, combat, and tons of character options, pf2e is great. (and, importantly, all the rules are free online!)

Hello! I read your post on being present in roleplaying and it got me curious as I've never done it myself (outside of drama improv, if that even counts, lol), but it's always felt like a formative staple in fandom community even though I've never really understood it.
I wanted to ask a couple of questions if that's okay. Namely, what actually is roleplaying, what it's like, and where one can find a community to try it out.
Otherwise, I thought your post was really good as it also applies to OCs in novels and experiencing real life, so if all else, we can just leave it at that, lol
Aw hi! And thank you, this was so sweet!!!
I mean, I am not an expert on RP or anything, I've only been back on Tumblr since February. I'm also absolutely not an expert on writing, just an enthusiastic lover of spilling words onto the page, so take everything with a grain of salt <3
Roleplaying is basically just shared storytelling. It can take a lot of forms--like LARP, which stands for Live Action Role Play, or tabletop games like D&D. With those, it is a lot like improv acting, I imagine. You have a character, you have parameters, and you shape the story by acting things out as you go--no plan, no script, just doing what feels right for your character while also working to build the "Yes, And" vibes.
Written RP is a lot like that. At least, to me it feels a lot like that. It feels like a game where we both pick our favorite characters and our favorite writing styles, then dive in hard. Maybe we explore whatever aspects of canon (if one or both of us is a canon character) left us howling and sobbing. Maybe we mix worlds--like Blitz hanging out with Cardan, from the Folk of the Air series. Maybe we just become absolute crack monsters. Whatever we do with it, it's essentially collaborative storytelling built on respect of each other's preferences and needs, and love of not just the results, but the process. It's fun, it's like--making a really satisfying with (usually) just one other person.
On tumblr, you can often find roleplaying communities (or RPCs) for just about anything just by checking for relevant tags, like helluva boss rp for me. If there's something you love, there's probably an RPC for it, and if not? There's usually someone who will be interested in checking your character out and talking about inspiration with you.
A lot of RPers--most, from what I have seen--will have a pinned post on their blog that communicates their rules/preferences. For example, since my character is a filth-goblin and a violent little feral monster, I am not okay with the idea of interacting with minors, so I put that in my rules. I'm also very anti-censorship and shaming, so that's in my rules, too. Whatever is most important to you, whatever you know you won't be able to handle in an RP partner, put that in your rules post. If you find the RPC tags for a fandom you like (and Tumblr will often help you with this by promoting other posts and blogs similar to the things you search for, once it figures out that's what you like), you can find roleplayers' blogs and check their rules out to get an idea of what sort of things might be most common, what sort of things other players seem to hope to find in rules.
If the idea of digging into tags overwhelms you, or you take a look around and decide nope, Tumblr RP is not for me, but I still want to try written RP, you can also look for blogs that are designed to help people meet so they can write together, often on Discord. @rphunter is an excellent example of those blogs and can be a great place to start, or even just a way to start seeing how people talk about RP.
TL;DR -- It's like creating fanfiction together (or original fiction, sometimes!), because we love the game, respect each other, and are cheerful nerds who just like to play. Roleplay is a very social hobby, and a lot of fun! If you're curious about it, I hope you give it a try! And hey I may be slow about answering questions, and may just babble and be the worst source ever, but I will always try <3 So please never feel bad for asking.

OOC Post:
Hi, there! I'm @jnix-2006 and welcome to my ask blog, ask-commander-arild!! I made this blog for @pkmoth's @motherbound-askapalooza, and I plan on participating the entire month of August, but if it does well, I may continue it!! But, bear with me, because I don't use tumblr much, so this is all very new to me, haha. Before we start, I feel I should give a little bit of introduction to what exactly this is. So, firstly, what exactly is an Arild? Well, Arild is an OC I created for the game Mother 3 (Heavy spoilers btw)! He can be seen below!
Art done by @pinkalliums!!! Go check them out!!
Tumblr media
Say hello to Arild Eskildsen! A young Norwegian lad of 15 years old who, through a series of unfortunate events, was once a pigmask. I know his design may look a little... 2015, but the design quite literally came to me in a dream, and I would've been stupid not to use it. Now, as much as I'd love to go into detail about his backstory, I wanna save most of it for the asks. I guess the most basic gist is that he was taken from our time, currently in the 2010's but may change later, from a very young age, and made to be a pigmask. Yippee, child soldier! He goes on to be promoted to captain. But after yet another unfortunate event, he ends up being chimera-ified and he gets promoted to commander, but not of the pigmasks... Of what, you ask? Well, we'll get there. For now, here's him as a captain!
Art also by @pinkalliums!! Seriously, go check them out! >:)
Tumblr media
Few things to keep in mind for this blog:
1. I don't have many artistic abilities, unfortunately, so this will be a text only blog. Some friends have kindly made a few pieces for Arild, and I will show them off, but for the most part, there won't be much in the way of visuals. If you feel like making art of him, feel free! I would actually love to see it!!
2. Quite a lot of the stuff here is going to involve my own headcanons for the Mother series, especially post-game Mother 3. For example, in my headcanon, Claus survives and becomes the leader of the army, rebranding it in the name of peace, and that is why Arild is a commander. Basically, since everyone has unique headcanons for the series, you can just consider this an AU.
3. There will be mention of a couple real life places that will have Mother-ified names. With any mention of Norway, the name will changed to Fjordland, on account of its many... fjords. Canada is also an important place within the story, and that I have decided to call Mapleland. Creative, I know. I figured I would bring it up to avoid confusion
4. Feel free to ask whatever! Though, obviously, just make sure it's on topic, of course. Silly questions are easy to answer and will usually be answered quickest! Lore relevant questions are a little trickier and may take me just a bit longer to respond to, but I will be happy to get to them!! Also, RP is okay with me, if you want to!!
5. When it comes to asking questions, please don't be weird or anything. Like... being a former pigmask, Arild is a plus-sized character, so a comment about his weight would not be great. More importantly, absolutely NO NSFW. This character is a minor, and that stuff is not okay to ask. I don't think any of this will be an issue, but it's good to mention just in case
6. I do not speak Norwegian, so if I want to sprinkle it in a little bit, I have only on option. Google Translate. I know, I know... it's not the best, but I will try my best to avoid mistranslations or misuse of phrases. I wouldn't want to be the new version of that one post about the Norwegian Butter Crisis, haha.
If you're still here, thank you for reading until the end!! As said, I've never done something like this before, so this intro is probably super chaotic in comparison to other blogs, haha. I am really excited to get started here! I've always wanted to do an ask blog, and I really needed an excuse to flesh out my OC, so I'd say this is perfect! I'd like to give thanks to all the friends, and my bf, who helped me out on this!! Thank you to Moth for setting this event up! Thank you to Hal and a few others for the art! And also thank you so much to my friend Red who helped me create this character in the first place! He didn't tell me what his tumblr was, but he is @/Doc_Glowstick on Twitter!! Alright, I think I've rambled enough now. I'll probably go through this and change it later, but for now, let the blog begin!!!

Homestuck Beyond Cannon Upd8 for September 14, 2024
Couple days late on this one, so let's get started right away.
Oh! But first we have a news post. It is the first upd8 of the month after all.
I mentioned content warnings on the last upd8. Looks like I'm not the only one. Yeah, those would have been appreciated. But hopefully James can follow through on his promise to get better with them.
The Karkat plush is . . . today! Apparently you can now preorder it, or at least you should be able to. I need to check on that. I think my previous support counts as my preorder, but I want to be sure. Don't want to miss out on the wonderfully grumpy plush with the awesome hair.
The Patreon is apparently the reason we're getting upd8s like this one, and James is trying to figure out how to bolster it. Makes me, again, appreciate all the work Andrew did on the original. He seems reluctant to do another visual novel like this, but who knows what the future holds. Wish I could support the comic again, but right now I don't have the funds. Admittedly, part of that is because I play Warhammer.
On to the upd8!
Er . . . after I fix the browser thing again >.<
Tumblr media
Huh! I just noticed that the panel that we see while the game is loading is actually fake and created by the game window. You can barely see the outline there, but the big give away is the menu bar in the upper left. Neat trick!
Tumblr media
Looks like @nostalgicamphibian was right! That feather is very much orange, and so that means we know who it belongs to. Maybe Vriska will take some advice and just chill and recoup for a bit. I'm sure she needs it after the last chapter.
Also! We can now reread the prologue from here!
I still feel like Vriska both needs to see Terezi and (Vriska). They are together in the bubbles, or were the last time we saw them. So she could do both at once. I think there's a huge lesson she could take away from that. One chapter left after this one, so we'll have to see I guess. For now, let's see some shenanigans!
Also this is Chapter X, apparently.
Tumblr media
And now for something completely different! Apparently this was happening during the last chapter?
Tumblr media
Embarrassed? We haven't seen all the sprites, such as Arquius perhaps. But Davepeta is specifically saying sprite^2. And only one other character has that designation . . .
Tumblr media
Okay, this is just great! Which ever member of the team that wrote this managed to perfectly mash up Nepeta's kitty themed RP with Dave's rambling. I love everything about this!
Tumblr media
And there they are! Bit of a callback to Rose having to wait on Dave before. Jasprose appears to still be painting the town red on Meat Earth C. Wonder if we might see Jane with her at any point in the future.
Tumblr media
omg im l so fucking mao at this! That is the perfect Rose Tier Homestuck technobabble. Midnight City is is in superplausitional canonical deniability. So for any purpose, it could be said to be canon or not canon as the HICU needs! XD
Tumblr media
I'm literally struggling to keep it down right now! Also, I think the only panel I haven't as part of this was the stuff with Erisol! This has all been S Tier!
Tumblr media
Hah! And Dad and Droug are apparently still running around too! That probably put a damper on Jasprose's night on the town! Also good to see that even this version of Rose is still sober.
Not so good to hear that Jake is still completely fucked up after what Dirk did to him. Jasprose hints that he still might have a role to play before the end though.
And, of course, we have timeline shenanigans! While Davepeta has been stuck with Vriska for multiple years, Jasprose is still on the same night of partying we left them with.
Tumblr media
Davepeta is not pleased with Vriska's progress. Maybe they'll think different depending on how she responds to Scratch's abuse. But they're clearly worried, and this is apparently extremely important to whatever plans the two sprite^2 have cooking. And Dave is for once appreciating Rose's desire to understand the human psyche. Not that it would necessarily have helped with Vriska.
Tumblr media
Hah!
Tumblr media
Apparently even they weren't expecting that.
Tumblr media
Normally a beat panel like this after a statement like that can only mean one thing . . .
Hah!
Join us next time when 4 more years have passed! That was the meaning behind the 8 Ball all along!
Now excuse me while that line sends me into existential dread over the possibility of a different type of "4 more years."

Whee... more old Kingdom Hearts crossover drawings. Plus some ramblings below the cut.
More old drawings from back when I was in an RP. Thought I'd dump these here for lulz. If you don't know who the black lady is, her name is Mia and she from the panned PS1 game Psybadek. My habit of picking random characters from video games got yours truly some criticism for picking randos nobody knew or cared about over more well known characters, as it was a huge crossover RP where folks from all media would team up and save the world. In the end, I left due to being in a terrible place mentally and feeling like some bozo who wasn't really wanted by the crew, which sadly turned out to be somewhat true. Shit happens. The Kingdom Hearts stuff was the most effort outside some posters I did to promote the RP I was in.
If you're a hardcore Spyro fan you should be familiar with the orange dragon if not, his name is Flame, and he made his debut in Spyro: A Hero's Tail. This dingus I love so dearly, and I had Ray and him become bros, and eventually the two would kick an immense amount of ass and become inseparable. I had to draw the two in disguise for the Lilo and Stitch level in KH story for the RP. Two utter dorks pretending to be husband and wife, just like Jumba and Pleakly. Looking at Flame's KH outfit, I think it could do with some more accessories. Maybe some belts or paw protectors? I whipped his design up in a flash. His keyblade could do with a slight tweak too. His power form is pretty lacklustre, not gonna lie. The goggles are cool, but I should have done something with the bandana at the very least. Mia's keyblade and outfit I like a lot. I'm pretty bad at fashion design, so I'm happy with how her outfits turn out, but I would probably change a few things to spruce things up a bit. The master form's colours please me a lot. Though, looking at it again, I should have made the necklace more interesting.
The Timeless River designs are my favourite of the bunch and have aged very well compared to the other drawings. That classic rubber hose style just looks so good.
So that's my two cents, thank you for reading through my look back down memory lane.

Hello, this is a very brief intro post and i will most likely look into some resources to make a better organized one.
this is a Disney-Twisted Wonderland RP account, in which i will be talking as my oc, Artemis Rian. his name is pronounced Art-aye-miss and his surname is pronounced like Ryan.
there are a few rules i ask you to follow, its not much.
-any homophobia, transphobia, sexism, racism, fatphobia, body shaming, bullying, incest, pedophilia, or anti-semantics will NOT be tolerated under any circumstances.
-please dont sexualize my character.
-Please dont be fucking weird (in bad ways)
-Please dont judge anyone for their interests.
~My character is open to shipping with characters of his same age. please DM me about it beforehand.
please be a decent human being. if you break any one of these rules i will lecture you in dms then block you.
Some additional information about Artemis.
~ Artemis is eighteen
~ When Artemis is talking, there will be a tag that says "artemis rian"
~ Artemis is a Junior in the Ignihyde dorm.
~ Artemis is typically soft-spoke, and rather introverted. he has a difficult time initiating interactions with people, but he does infact enjoy talking to people.
~ Artemis is cisgender male and uses He/Him pronouns.
~ Artemis is part fae, part human. his mother was a human, and his father was a fae.
~ Artemis is Omnisexual, with a lean towards masculine people.
~ Artemis is only 168 cm tall, or inbetween 5'6 and 5'7. he is not very tall, he's got rather long legs, but is rather skinny, due to the conditions of his past.
~ Artemis is a bit timid, to say the least. he often is zoned out, and has not a great memory. he often forgets important things such as his own birthday.
~ the picrews were not very great, so here is a brief explanation of his character design/appearance.
Tumblr media
Artemis is a young man of average height. he has very dark brown, somewhat curly hair that's a bit fluffy, which is cut to the base of his neck. the tips of his hair are dyed red. he has pointed ears, as most fae, and he has his lobes pierced. he often wears hoodies, and likes ripped, baggy jeans. his eyes are a deep emerald, and are rather thin and a bit downturned.
~ Artemis is rather well at art, and likes drawing messy sketches of scenery, typically with charcoal. he dislikes painting. he also enjoys video games, especially competitive ones, which he is rather good at. some of his favorites are Mario Kart and Splatoon, he also likes survival games such as Minecraft, Raft, and similar.
Please feel free to ask anything you would like about Artemis!
A few additional things about me, the person behind the screen.
I am a transgender male, and use he/him pronouns. most private messages will be ooc unless stated otherwise. I am a bit indesicive on names, so you may call me mod, admin, artemis mod, or the similar.
I work throughout the summer very often. please do not expect me to be chronically online.
I am medically diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), so i may misinterpret things, or jokes may go over my head. please be patient with me. i also ask you to use tone tags. if you are not certain what those are, please do not be scared to ask.
My DMs are open! please feel free to come talk with me, i dont bite, and i would love to make some friends. socializing is hard for me, as someone who can be considered similar to Idia, when it comes to socialization. i also meant to create this account awhile back, but someone i knew was on here who made me feel like i couldnt speak freely. they are inactive now, i believe, with that, please dont involve me in any drama.
A few of my interests include alternative fashion, though I am in a bit of a financial crunch and cant afford such for myself, i play splatoon, and have played all the way through splatoon 1, before it got shut down, and im nearly done with the splatoon 2 hero mode, but ive finished octo expansion, and ive played through splatoon 3 hero mode, but im yet to finish side order ive been playing splatoon for about five years. i also like painting, especially bob ross follow-alongs, they are calming. i also love surfing and beaches (especially the ones with the pretty, clear water.) i sometimes teach surf and swim classes in summer. and i love twisted wonderland very much, its one of my favorite games. I emjoy horror games aswell, and reading older literature is another hobby of mine.
when i am speaking there will be an OOC// before the text and a tag "ooc"
please note that I use Tumblr on my laptop. I will not always immediately respond
Oh god this was a lot longer than i had intended... apologies. i will upload Artemis' backstory as soon as possible.

Seeking soft like-minded penpal!
Hoping to find someone with overlapping tastes and interests with interested and passionate in writing and exchanging letters~
︵‿︵‿୨♡୧‿︵‿︵
Howdy! My name is Quinn (Doll, Jinx, Ghost, etc~) I’m in the US and I’m looking for a penpal! I’m hoping to find someone with similar tastes and interests to me so we can talk about all sorts of wonderful things together! I’m AuDHD, have some other things on the side, and a chronic pain condition that keeps me from working a “normal” 9-5 job so I freelance and do graphic design/illustrator work which usually ends up being commission work for people!! I’m passionate about art and have a wide plethora of interests that I would like my penpal to match up with to some degree!
ABOUT ME Born in the US. English speaking. I was born in Texas before relocating a bit north. I’ve been penpalling semi-regularly since 2013 and really enjoy what I do. I sometimes will record the process of preparing a letter to post to my very small tiny youtube channel and use it as a way to preserve the letters i send out? I do a lot of decorating so it’s a way to preserve these pieces of “interactive art” that I send to people~ I’m a student currently in school for graphic design and someday I’d like to become a tattoo artist but I don’t know if I will ever be able to accomplish that goal because of my joint pain.  I’m hoping that if someone answers this they’re wanting the same things I am? I’m pretty prompt with snail mail replies and would love a semi-regular exchange or updates if you expect for letters to get sent out slower?
Hobbies Sewing - crafting - journaling - writing (rp and fanfic, but some original things on the side!) - embroidery - art!! I use a lot of different mediums from watercolor to oil pastels!! Someday I hope to get into model making or miniature making à la “Studson Studios”!!! - Collecting (teacups, stamps, stickers, stationery, postcards~) - reading! - character/oc design~
Interests & Passions This is going to be a longer section, sorry in advance!! A lot of my interests rattle around in my head and because of the autism I cling to these things feverishly. They all overlap and I talk about them obsessively, tbh? So if these things and vibes aren’t something you enjoy please just skip over this~  “Cozy” Gaming ♡ Genshin Impact (wanderer main, thats my pookie) ♡ BG3 ♡ Anime (specifically magical girls and romance! I love a select few shonen anime such as Naruto!) Big favs include Naruto, Death Note, TBHK, Horimiya, and Orange just to name a few ♡ JFASHION!; I *love* Gyaru and EGL specifically and also enjoy mori kei quite a bit! But I love fashion in general and am always eager to talk about style and clothing (especially on a budget!!!) ♡ MUSIC!!! I’m very particular about my music tastes. I listen to a lot of jrock/jpop, rock, metal, nu metal, post hardcore, EDM, house, trance, and techno! I also love a lot of music that was very popular circa 2010s youtube~ ♡ Vocaloids!! ♡ BDSM/Kink lifestyles~ ♡ Dolls! Specifically BJDs, though ♡ Ballet ♡ Renaissance and baroque art ♡ Dungeons and Dragons and TTRPGs in general ♡ Tea ♡ Bridgerton ♡ Period Peace romances~ ♡ Romance in general ♡ Fairies ♡ angels ♡ new age beliefs and practices ♡ journaling ♡ therian/otherkin identities ♡ ghosts/spirits/paranormal/occult things ♡ vegetarianism/veganism ♡ photography
If I had to sum myself up in a few words I suppose I’d say something like… “Dusty regal doll left on a shelf or in a glass box, haunted by an ancient spirit of questionable origins.” Or something along those lines. Sounds a bit cheesy but again, these things are important to me!!
︵‿︵‿୨♡୧‿︵‿︵
Style Preferences I tend to send wildly different letters. I specialize in “themed” letters, though. I love to decorate pertaining to certain things- Seasons, media that I and my penpal like, or even focusing on specific colors and color palettes. If everything before this sounds good, and you do end up reaching out? Please let me know what kind of letters you like the most! What are your favorite styles? You can probably get an idea of my tastes from my blog so I’ll spare the ramble.
IDEAL PENPAL Above 20 years old Long term! Snail mail *and* email penpals welcome!! Though I do prefer snail mail~ LGBTQIA+ friendly. Someone inclusive who is also maybe a part of the community. Any gender, identity, etc welcome.  Someone open for heavier conversations who are looking to form a genuine friendship?
︵‿︵‿୨♡୧‿︵‿︵
So! If any of this sounds good to you/is interesting? Or if you have questions, comments or concerns, feel free to DM here? Or you can reach me at,,,

Semi-inspired by your NADDpod posts, was woondering if you have thoughts on the following:
A someone who enjoys the longform aspect of CR campaigns & has been a fan since C1 days, but who has bounced off of TAZ in the past & won't do D20 b/c I'm one of the few people on Tumblr who is not a fan of Brennan, would you recommend NADDpod as a "C3 is ending soon, what do I fill the gap with until the next CR campaign" show?
FWIW: I do enjoy the acting aspects of CR, but that's more from the player characters, so a writer-centric DM is appealing in many ways. (I love Matt as a DM, but his NPCs are a bonus not the draw for me.) On the flip side, I do sometimes struggle with audio-only (part of why TAZ didn't work), because of audio processing issues, especially differentiating between voices without visual cues.
Also: I generally am interested in AP games that balance gameplay with narrative rather than leaning heavily on narrative & treating the game as ancillary. & I'm looking for something that is not a straight up comedy, but has a mix of both dramatic & funny elements.
Before your NADDpod posts, I was considering finally trying Candela Obscura, which I gave a pass before because of Brennan (I was going to do a bit of research first to see if I could skip the ones he was involved in tbh), or one of the CR podcasts. But as much as I like CR, I also wouldn't mind a break from them / having another option for my actual play listening/viewing pleasure.
hmmm, so this is tricky and depends a lot on the nuances here, so let me talk through it.
I think firstly, I would need to know exactly what you don't vibe with re: Brennan, because he is also a guest in the first NADDPod campaign (not for a long period of time, but it's one of the strongest arcs and I wouldn't recommend skipping it). I also think that The Circle of Needle and Thread, the Candela series he is in (and each is standalone) is easily the best Candela series. If your issues are largely related to him as a GM rather than a player, he is a player in both of these, but also tbh I must admit that in the scope of actual play, there's really no player I would actively refuse to watch an episode over (well, I mean, there's people who if invited back NOW would give me pause given it would indicate horrible judgement of character, but I don't see the point in avoiding them in previous works), though there are GMs I'm not really into.
Anyway with that huge caveat/unanswered question: I would recommend you check out The Circle of The Crimson Mirror, which is imo the second-strongest Candela circle, and while some reference others in passing (this one included) they are all standalone. I think Candela definitely is a gameplay system that centers narrative, if that makes sense, but it is very much a balance, ie, it's not pure RP and while I think it's obvious WBN would not be a good fit for you for many other reasons, that is a case of narrative overruling TTRPG gameplay and Candela is not that.
Re Naddpod, some thoughts.
I personally think the first campaign is in some ways the strongest, and in some ways not (really, the main reason is that the cast is learning D&D early on and it takes until episode 13 or so to really gel), but also this is colored by the fact that I do think for me, podcast actual play unfortunately works best as a binge since I don't retain it as well as I do something with a visual element. I binged NADDPod campaign 1 and listened to the other two week to week, so I have a much stronger sense of the first campaign. I think the best way to describe NADDPod tonally is that it is both very silly and comedic at times, but the narrative is deeply sincere and touching. And I do think Murph is one of the strongest encounter designers out there; he is an avid gamer and while I am just entering the realm of video games because I got annoyed with not being able to experience an entire medium, among other things, I think this has really helped him integrate combat into story. He also has a great sense of fantasy narrative; I know he's a fan of The Wheel of Time.
In general, I really like Murph and think he's underrated because, and this is a personal feeling and I still very much like love Matt and Brennan as DMs, both of them are firstly, very experienced DMs who have been doing this for over 25 years apiece whereas Murph learned to play D&D in like, 2016. The second is that Matt and Brennan are at times too nice for their own good, in my opinion, and Murph will just be like "No???" I am also salty and curmudgeonly and I think it ultimately makes you a better storyteller and DM to be a kind person but not necessarily a nice one, and a lot of critiques I've had about CR campaign 3 or D20 campaigns Brennan ran would have been addressed by the GM being just a little more willing to say "no" to their players.
If you really cannot stand Brennan at all under any circumstances, you could skip to NADDPod's second campaign, Eldermourne, which is in a separate world entirely. I think the first campaign is a little stronger, but the second is still quite good. I also think that auditory processing is its own challenge but the players not being all men from the same family does make it way easier to differentiate voices; obviously you can always tell Emily, but Caldwell, Jake, and Murph don't really sound much like each other. Campaign 3 of NADDPod does call back heavily to its first campaign (in a way I think is honestly way better done than Campaign 3 of CR) so I would not skip to that without a Bahumia campaign 1 listen (which again does have a 5 episode arc with Brennan which is imo a highlight of the campaign, and not specifically because he is there either as it focuses heavily on Jake's characters.)
As for CR podcasts I am super behind on The Re-Slayer's Take (I really am behind on all podcasts; I found that because video games take so much time I need my drive time to like, not focus on any fictional narrative) and the style takes a bit to adjust to if you're used to most actual play, but it is worth checking out. However, they cut out a lot of gameplay elements as part of the editing choices to trim it down and make it accessible, so if you like that aspect you might be disappointed. I say either listen to a few NADDPod episodes of either the first or second campaign (with the knowledge that for the first, it gets less goofy over time) or watch Circle of the Crimson Mirror and take it from there.

DARP Advent 2024 - Day One!
Get to know each other! FIRSTS AND FAVORITES!
Preferred name: HAWKE / SARC.
Preferred pronouns: She/Her OR They/Them
Favorite dinosaur: Spinosaurus (I'm incredibly invested in the information we learn
about the species every few years. It's a scientific marvel we've yet to unravel, and I'm super excited to dig my shitty little archaeology major hands into it. )
What's the coolest rock you own or have seen: The Pagan Supply Store from my hometown had a Lapis Lazuli Pendelum that was absolutely gorgeous to look at. I'd give anything to go back in time and pick up that piece.
What piece of media was your first experience with Dragon Age?: The Origins Trailer --
What was your first Dragon Age game?: Dragon Age: Origins!
Which is your favorite DA game?: Dragon Age II has some good high-school memories for me. I remember playing it with my friend for hours on end, side by side on a Skype call while we discussed how our Hawkes were twins.
What was your first DA book or comic?: Silent Grove
Which is your favorite DA book or comic?: Tevinter Nights baby!!!!!!!
Who is your favorite DA character? (please don’t include untagged character hate in your answer – keep it positive!): I really can't pick, but if I had to, the tragedy of Knight Commander Meredith has always been one of my favorite bits of lore to explore both in RP and as a fandom. Aside from her, probably Isabela, Varric or Leliana. :)
What was your first ship? Romantic or platonic: Morrigan x Leliana -- (romantic)
What's your "forever" ship? Romantic or platonic: Isabela x Merrill, romantically. I am . . . obsessed with their dynamic. It's the sweetest thing to hear Isabela try to be not only reassuring, but GENUINE with Merrill. I wish I saw more of them, but alas, god hates me.
What is your favorite DA-verse creature? (nug, giant, halla, etc): I hope it's not seen as quirky to say, but the Spirits. They're so well designed, and Justice has a special place in my heart.
What's the best advice you've ever gotten?: You can't help everyone, but you can help yourself. Sacrificing pieces of yourself will only harm more people in the long run, so be as genuine with yourself as you can, and love will follow.
Are you comfortable receiving feedback / asks from others as the event goes on and will request on certain days that other people reach out? What are your boundaries? If you're okay with asks/comments, are you okay with them from anyone or followers only?: So long as the criticism is constructive, and we talk like adults, then yes, I'm open to all and any feedback. :) / Boundaries are hard for me to define outside of when they're pushed, but I hate feeling cornered. I had a 'friend' who recently spent 3 days berating me for cutting off a ship in D&D, so now I get touchy when I feel trapped in a conversation. Similarly, overly poking me will make me panic. / While I prefer Followers Only, if you're willing to have a mature conversation with me, then I really don't mind hearing your feedback!
Share a picture of something you're excited about/something that you love if you're comfortable doing so! ( put under the cut to shorten the post. )
this image doesn't look like much, but let's talk about significance.
this image was taken by my wife (on the hood of our car) after I had just been told I was laid off from my dream job. i was ugly crying, inconsolable, and could barely breathe through the amount of sobbing I'd done. i felt like i'd finally made it - then immediately failed.
this image was captioned ; "mom wants to ask if this will make you feel better / if this is enough leftovers lol" and you want to know something? it did.
i felt heard, seen, and like my wife grabbed me the last square of banana pudding before leaving.
she & her family have been nothing short of the best goddamn people in my life, and i know if i ever feel alone, they will always be there for me.

My Roleplay Information!!
Hello! I am El or Elliott, I’m 19 if you are here you probably found me from one of my roleplay searching posts or a different subreddit! As my name say this account is mainly just for looking for roleplaying! One of my partners made a post like this on their account and i thought It was a pretty good idea!
— 𝗔𝘃𝗮𝗶𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘁𝘂𝘀: 𝟮/𝟰 —
(This whole post could be added on to or changed in the future)
𝗦𝗼 𝗮 𝗴𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗯𝗶𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗶𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗻 𝗺𝗲!
- I have been roleplaying for 5+ years and got my start on animo (sorry I gagged too) so I have quite a lot of experience underneath my belt in a multitude of fandoms! I would like to say I’m at least Semi-Lit (I have dyslexia which makes me a bit hard to understand) and often match replies or at least give you something to work with to move the roleplay along. I will never give a one sentence reply! And I will not like getting one back either
- I exclusively write in third person with maybe first if it’s the characters thoughts and much prefer if my partner does the same.
- I love character drama and good character design, sometimes I will steal a fandom character to slap a different character on them just because I love the design so much or just kinda make them fit into a rp (Such as one of my sci-fi plots)
- I’m an artist and will occasionally draw my characters or use them in rps, if I have enough inspiration I could draw yours but plus don’t pressure me to show my art or to draw your characters
- My timezone is EST or “New York time”
- I do have a job but my hours are quite strange and often don’t work a lot outside of mornings. I have a lot of free time lmao
- I’m very understanding of life things and not being able to roleplay some days or even weeks but please understand I will not wait around forever
- I never much enjoy OOC and being friendly with my partners, we don’t have to being gaming buddies or vc or anything like that but I do enjoy being friendly at least!
- 100% comfortable with NSFW rp and content but plot > porn is what I’m here for! But I will say nsfw to SFW content is normally around 20/80 of my roleplays with some variation
- I do double and loving doubling!!
𝗗𝗡𝗜 𝗶𝗳
- under 18, I am not comfortable with roleplaying with minors
- Use AI for art or replies, I am an artist and don’t appreciate my art being used for such things and stealing from other artist
- Pure NSFW roleplays, we can do the occasional one shot (as I do with some other partners) but again I like plot and purpose over just pure porn
- Don’t like LGBT+ characters, are racist, xenophobic, homophobic, transphobic and or fetishize any of them along with being hateful in general. And please keep politics outside of this, I don’t care but will if you make me and it will probably end with me leaving
- Plan on getting, sending or anything of the sort IRL pictures of me SFW or Otherwise or plan to somehow get into my pants. I am not interested
𝗠𝘆 𝗥𝗣 𝗹𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀
- I really enjoy Fantasy (High or low lmao), Sci-Fi, cyberpunk and Superhero settings/themes for roleplays! I don’t mind Slice of life but I prefer something interesting cooked in with it (Like Magic in the world or monster if you get what I mean)
- I love playing monsters characters or non-human characters! Big ol monsters or small kobolds I do not mind! I much prefer being the monster in a monster fucking scenario
- MxM over anything in all honesty, I love playing LGBT+ characters but man <3 (I’m pan and most of my characters are too so anything works)
- Angst!!! A good stab in the heart!! I have on multiple times cried while writing replies! I love it!
- Long running roleplays, I love one that continue on for a while but sadly everyone does lost interest every so often but I can run multiple rps at a time with multiple partners
- I prefer if characters have art over real people being used as faceclaims, it just makes me feel a bit strange? But I will not push you do to whatever
𝗥𝗽 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲𝘀, 𝗟𝗶𝗺𝗶𝘁𝘀 𝗼𝗿 𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗻𝗼𝘀
(𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗲: 𝗜 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗶𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘁𝗿𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝗽𝘂𝘀𝗵 𝗺𝘆 𝗯𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗿 𝗽𝘂𝘀𝗵 𝗮𝗻𝘆𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗜 𝗱𝗼 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗼 𝗿𝗽𝘀)
- Incest or Ageplay, ew no and not my cup of tea. Hard pass
- Pregnancy, it makes me uncomfortable. Eggs are fine but characters actually having kids is a grey zone for me.
- Kinks such as: Scat, hyperinflation (if you want a big dick have a big character same goes for tiny girls with huge tits, there is no way her fat distribution is just all in her chest let’s be so fucking for real), armpits, DDGL, puppy play, extreme gore/guro or very descriptive acts of of gore (that goes for general rp)
- Grey zone ones I don’t super prefer or hate outright is mainly just Anal on female characters
𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗜 𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗶𝗻 𝗮 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗻𝗲𝗿!
- Chill and Friendly! We don’t have to be gaming buddies or have vcs everyday but I do enjoy sending memes in OOC and talking!
- Okay and willing to Double, it feels like I’m talking to myself if are not both doubling lmao
- Can match replies and can get really into rps! Bring that passion!
- Can at least maybe give at least a reply a day but that’s a maybe, I do prefer frequent replies but do understand why that can’t be possible for some people
- Won’t send dick pics please guys 😭
𝗖𝘂𝗿𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗳𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗼𝗺/𝗵𝘆𝗽𝗲𝗿 𝗳𝗶𝘅𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀! 𝗔𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗜 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝘆 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺 )𝗜 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗳𝗲𝗿 𝗢𝗰 > 𝗙𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗼𝗺𝘀)
- Cyberpunk (Joytoy Oc, V, or other Ocs)
- Destiny 2 (Eliksni Oc or Guardian Oc)
- Helluva/Hazbin (Stella, Stolas, Vassavo, Husk)
- Furry characters (I really like the artist Canis Albus and would be up to play Machete from them)
- Detroit become human (Ralph, Connor, Nines or Gavin)
- Horror or Dead by Daylight characters (Ghostface, The legion, The miner from my bloody Valentine, The plague and maybe other)
- Genshin Impact/Honkai star rail (Boothill, Sunday, Baizhu, Kafka, Kaeya and Rosaria)
- Pressure (Sebastian or AU version of Blitz)
- DND or Baldur’s gate (OCs)
- Among us or lethal company
- Beastars (Pina, Legoshi, Haru, Louis or maybe OCs)
- Alien stage (Luka)
- Fear and Hunger (OCs or Enki)
- Ultrakill (V2)
- Slay the princess (The long quiet/The bird lol)
(More to come probably lmao)
Thank you if you read all of this! You are the best! Please message me if you are interested and my slots are still free!

Kuaidul for the ask game!
Jeez that was fast. 😅
Okay. You ask so you shall receive!
KUAIDUL VELGEAR!
Tumblr media
Why I LOVE him
To keep these answers as brief as I possibly can (funny joke when you're asking me to talk about my heart's savior), I absolutely ADORE Kuaidul and always have. I relate to him deeply, I find him fascinating, I love his smooth voice, I love his over the top mannerisms, I really just love everything about him and on top of everything, he's just consistently fun to watch. I could watch his shenanigans or even just listen to him talk for hours.
(More below. And fair warning. It did indeed get pretty long.)
What I like about his appearance
Is "everything" a valid answer? I love his long wild blond hair and want to run my fingers through it. I love the lightning marks on his cheeks, they add such a spark to his design no pun intended. I love his big adorable green eyes. I love his flowing cape/cloak whatever it's called and I love his pink sword and spiked shoulders and just everything about his design is really eye-catching to me.
Dub name or original name?
Kuaidul ONLY has his original name at the time of writing this and even if the dub changes his name, I will always prefer his original name because his name is incredibly meaningful. Literally. It means "rush duel". Even his name is something I love about him. Because it gives me so much to analyze and think about, whether his name was his choosing or his asshole Creator's, there's meaning there either way and it's interesting to think about.
OTP/OT3
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I have an OT3! Yeah, I'm not choosing an OTP between these pairs. I've been shipping Kuaidul with my RP OC, Hawk, for quite a while partially due to there not being a canon character with a good potential shipping dynamic with Kuaidul... Before Fukamura came along and I decided "Screw it! It's polycule time!" and now the three of them are a throuple in the making and it's just really precious to me. I love writing that softer more vulnerable side of Kuaidul, along with doting and cutely mischievous sides that all come out a lot around Hawk and Fuka. It's just fun writing someone as proud and grandiose as Kuaidul being in love, and he's really wholesome and sweet with both of them.
NOTP
Well that's obviously the Creator. Not just cuz I hate his guts, for reasons I'm not derailing this post to get into as I want to keep it positive, but because he's Kuaidul's dad. That's how I've always interpreted their relationship so it's a huge nope from me as anything other than familial.
Favourite Card!
Tumblr media
Yeah no shit it's Transamu Prime Armor Nova. I love his fusion monster as well, I love his Extreme Fusion card (in fact that's definitely second), I love his new Transamu, I love prime tribute summoning as a concept, I love that his cards were inspired by those around him (I relate to that as an artist), but it's the symbol of his deck, the tribute monster that makes tributes truly admirable and formidable even by rush duel standards that really catches my eye. I love the way he's summoned and he just looks incredible.
Favourite Moment
You expect me to pick ONE?!?!??
He has at least ONE moment that makes me go crazy in every episode he's in. And yes. I do mean every episode. Even the smaller appearances. I could go with the sheer epicness of him summoning Transamu Prime Armor Nova for the first time or his grand return in season 3. I could go with the unexpected but very welcome fun of him unexpectedly stepping in to duel Fukamura or exposing Fukamura's feelings in 4K. I could even say the tragic but ultimately character defining moment of him letting go of his attempted fusion with Yudias and accepting his impending death. But if I have to pick just one, I wanna say the moment where Kuaidul truly caught my attention and made me fall in love. This scene right here when he first takes over Yudias:
Tumblr media
Because Kuaidul didn't quite have me smitten from his very first scene. Intrigued yes, but slightly nervous he would be a Sevens retread in some way, and the episode having the characters suspect that the creator of the Velgearians could've been Otes wasn't inspiring much faith. But this scene. This scene of Kuaidul taking over Yudias out of nowhere, almost like a jumpscare, and speaking in such a smooth unbothered voice with these occasional sassy quips while explaining his insanely over the top plan had my eyes and ears GLUED on him. I call him Go Rush's saviour for a reason. He fully reignited my interest in the show with his charm, silliness, intrigue, and just sheer fun factor and I have that amazing scene all the way back in episode 75 to thank for sparking my interest.
Least Favourite Moment
Uhhhhhhhh... That's tough. I really don't have any particular moment where I dislike Kuaidul, at least not for something he didn't make up for. So... I guess my only real answer to "least favourite Kuaidul moment" is this:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Not only because this scene drove me up a wall trying to figure out what the heck was happening for the longest time but now because I hate how this scene is constantly viewed as "Kuaidul absorbing the Creator." That's more of a fandom issue I'll admit but it really bothers me when people say or imply that Kuaidul initiated the merge with the Creator. He didn't. He ran after the Creator, he revealed his Soul Galaxy, but that's it. The one who initiated the merge was the Creator, who smirked evilly as he did so if you look closely:
Tumblr media
Fandom problems aside though, the scene just upsets me. To me, it always looked like Kuaidul was being attacked and knowing now that the Creator is "merging" with him doesn't make it look less like an attack. If anything, considering that Kuaidul later attempts to take over Yudias via a merge, which is unquestionably an act of violence in the eyes of everyone, the Creator's merge with Kuaidul looks EVEN MORE violent and obviously I hate seeing my favourite character in pain. So this scene is I guess by default my least favourite with Kuaidul.
Other than his death I guess but honestly, that scene is really well done. It's sad as hell but it's supposed to be so it works.
Would I fuck, marry, or kill him
Okay ending off on a sillier note thank god cuz that previous part got more ranty than I expected (and it's something that should probably be its own post eventually).
Anyways, I would obviously marry Kuaidul. I really hope that was obvious. I plan to have at least Hawk marry him and, come on. I'm also obviously eyeing this piece of blond heaven carnally. You all know this.
Tumblr media
He's just. Fantastic. One of only two characters who's remotely in the running for my favorite YGO character and honestly, Kuaidul is more than just a character to me. He's something, someone, deeply personal to me and continues to inspire me, artistically but also personally, to this day. I love him as much as one possibly can love a fictional character and he's a light that shines in my darkest nights who gives me hope and joy when I need it.
...god that was cheesy but you get the point.

Hi, you said we were allowed to ask random questions, so I wanted to get your take on this if it is ok. I have followed you for years at this point, and your creations are incredible! They inspire me so. I recall some time ago posting a.... reskin? Revamp? Of one of your DnD characters? I know most of your characters are not dnd nor should people use them in their own games, but if I am reading this correctly it means you yourself play or have at least played TTRPGs in the past. So, since you are welcoming questions, I thought it fair to ask an insanely creative person like you.
So I am in many DnD games right now, and most of them are very RP heavy. I find I can articulate myself well digitally when I can edit what I'm saying to make myself look thoughtful and knowledgeable. But when I RP verbally in the moment - particularly characters that have different thought patterns than I do- I flounder and words become difficult.
Suffice to say- how do you approach RP from a creator's stand point? Creating many different characters and making them unique from yourself but still compelling and competent? What is your thought process to RP?
If you do not feel comfortable answering this ask and that is perfectly fine- I realize this is coming out of left field but you did say you were bored and wanted asks, so I thought this line of questions was fair game. Regardless, I do wish to share how insanely creative and incredible I find your works. If you do not mind more questions in the future, I would love to ask a bit more of your inspirations and thought processes towards how you approach art, but instead I'll settle on my odd ask and hope I am not egregiously overstepping.
thanks for the question! bit of a long answer so i'll put it under a Read More.
i've actually played a couple of campaigns of dnd and blades in the dark (tho they were all over discord calls, and none of them ever concluded naturally), and i totally understand where you're coming from! tho i'll be honest, i haven't played ttrpgs in general in a good long while. i definitely had frustrations in my first ever couple of sessions of dnd (using a character i lovingly designed from scratch), and i think a lot of those pain points stemmed from me trying to force a narrative journey i already had in my head, pre-planned, that i imagined during the design phase for that character. but at the end of the day, dnd is improv, and if you're not used to that, your character's going to end up a little different than how you imagined, and that's ok! a session is always going to be a collaborative roleplaying space, where the party's stories as a group and as individuals are crafted gradually, over time, and some of the ideas you had for your character at the start-- their backstory, their personality, the way they talk and think-- are going to be constantly workshopped into something different, naturally, over the course of a campaign as you get more comfortable. i also find it's a lot easier to rp when you stop trying to inhabit The Exact Character That You Made With Love, and instead try to rp with their essence in mind instead. the most important thing for me when roleplaying is to understand the basics of my character-- whether they're nice or mean, outspoken or reserved, polite or straightforward, etc-- more than anything else. more practical, actionable advice is that it helps to ask yourself questions in your off time and try to answer them as best as you can, out loud and in-character. interview yourself as your character! what's their favorite fruit?
thanks for the question, and also the kind words about my art! i had typed a lot more than this out but i felt like it was mostly incoherent rambling. this might still qualify as that, actually. hope this helps in any way!
