hiii hi im here with my liddol hcs for u... looks up at u with my big sad wet eyes. this is my silly little au ,,, i love urs tho n would love to hear the angst bcos. theres so much angst i left out too fjrjfhie
ok so WALLY- little guy but absolutely not stupid. like he knows whats going on BUT hes just. a little silly sometimes. low braincells but can piece stuff together and is careful. carries a knife with him. does not want to get into trouble (excluding pranks ofc. loves them) uh. 147cm, transmasc, and pan. his hat is very important. i actually just finished making his hat but thats a different thing fhjrjf
talks a LOT and has a gossip group with norman n susie. but its all in good fun. n u know thomas is him boyfriend. they pretend to be Mortal Enemies but at home they r so so soft... they must put up a front at work because they are scared of how they'll look in front of other ppl. if only they knew that probably like 2 ppl total in jds were cishet fbjrj,, he has that audhd and his silly little catchphrase is everything ok.
thomas- too tall bites him. i mean. ahem. 183cm and bisexual. very closed off from people but will not hesitate to confront people. very touchy about the machine cos its his "best creation" or whatever. ok stupid college boy but go off ig. (i love him sm)
basically just there to get work done. he acts smart, looks smart, but hes "stupid"... not in the way of logically stupid, he is just very silly sometimes. also he smokes. i mean have u HEARD his voice (affectionate) he has 5 older brothers n his family is very sweet i think. gnaws on the thomas plush part twenty million
and finally SAMMY- very very stressed so he yells a lot BUT he does a softer side in private. he just needs to front as mean and irritating with everyone to keep his image up :(( grr squishes him very hard. transmasc and gay bc. he just is. does not like joey but then again in my au nobody really does but thats ok<3 back to sammy the babygirl. he is 168cm and his "partner" is jack... but we all know... the silly... also probably helped johnny learn the organ/piano. because it needs to happen
if u want 2 know more or have any questions my dms are open >:3c sorry for th ramble!!! fjrjeh
Hii!! I'm so sorry this took so long to get toooooo. I had to inhale this text for a bit and let it sog into my brain xD I always need a bit to take in muchhhhooss information (nothing bad btw just me being me hehe)
AND YEAHHH.. I should maybe talk more about angst. But at the same time I'm like. Naurrrr... Naurrrr... I really live by "there's always so much negativity and sadness in this world, no need to add more to it" SO I ALWAYS HESITATE SHARING ANGST AND SAD THINGS!! CUZ I'M LIKE!! WHY BE SAD IF I CAN HAVE FUN STUFF WITH STUFF THAT MAKES ME HAPPY </3 + most of it is just killing and torture anyway and euhm. Those tend to trigger ehm negative stuffs in me anyway :') Mostly just hallucinations and shit thoughts but!! You know, when there's a good time to share some of that stuff, I will!! :3 or maybe I share more about my toon Alice. She's a bit more tame about with that stuff. Anyhow. This is about YOU and not me. Soooo I'll go now through your stuff >:)
Wally being like that is true, that really fits to him!! He's just a silly that takes his his time to piece stuff together and that is okay :3
And OMG, mine also carries a knife around :D I just think it makes so much sense for hi to do so.... He's encountered moving ink puddles before, might just aswell carry a knife til. I feel like it also makes more sense after we saw his hat and a knife at artists rests (+ the April fools video hehe). Also, him being transmasc and pan is so funny because my old version of wally used to be exactly that aswell!! :D I changed that though, but again something very fitting for him. I loev your wally. He's so silly. AND SMALL!!!??? like damn OMG I didn't expect him to be that tiny. I could just launch him /lh
(Wally being a little gossip girly pop is so funny and real HAHAHA )
Thomas's and Wally,s relationship being like that is exactly how I envisioned it xD I love that for them so much.
And.. DAMN!! IM ALMOST AS TALL AS THOMAS BOY!! I thought yours would have been MUCH taller. Guess I was wrong. That's so interesting.
Also yeah... He definitely smokes. He smokes so damn much, probably several packs a day LMFOA. It's not to miss with a voice like that xD. You'd have to be insane to not think that.
Besides, BIG FAM FOR THOMAS ALSO MAKES A LOT OF SENSE!!
SAMMY BOY!!! SAMMY BOY!! I've been so keen on hearing about him!!!!! Wa'hh!! We love publicly intimidating and soft at home Sammy I love that so so so so so much waghahahhhh!! And he's also way smaller than I thought,!! Another suprise here :D but nothing bad. Just me being like woah?? In taller than him. ALSO, HIM AND JACK BEING A THING?? YAY!! I LOVE SAMMY AND JACK TOGEZHER WJAJAJAJ AND OHOHOHH JOHNNY MOMENT. JOHNNY MENTIONED *POINTSSS*
AND YEAH I'LL LET YOU KNOW IF I WANNA KNOW MORE. AND DON'T BE SORRY I LOVED THIS SO MUCH.. ERMMMM. IF YOU EVER WANNA TALK MORE ABOUT YOUR JOHNNY *twirls hair* I'd love to know what he's up to in your AU. Where he's mostly at!! Mine is first at the music department but then gets moved down to lacie and Bertrum, so I'd love to know where yours at!! And his personality too. That's the thing that interests me the most!!! Giving a character who has no info at all jngame a personality is always so cool and interesting to see :D everyone has like their own way of seeing and imagining characters.. I'd die to know how yours is!!!!

Story about Joey being a vampire hunter and Sammy being a vampire. You can bring in Norman ((human or vampire))to to safe him
Summary: In which Sammy is sometimes a very ugly bat, and his boss might want to kill him. Normal workplace issues.
---
[[MORE]]
Hypsignathus monstrosus. Commonly known as the hammer-headed bat (or big-lipped bat if you preferred a more unusual denominator), is a frugivorous species of megabat widely distributed in West and Central Africa. It's the only member of its genus, Hypsignathus, which in itself is part of the Epomophorimi tribe alongside other four unique genera.
The largest bat in continental Africa, with wingspans approaching 1 m (or about 3 ft), and the males being almost twice as heavy as the females. It's a sexually dimorphic bat species, with differences including several adaptations that help males produce and amplify vocalizations. Mainly the differing size of the males' larynges, which are about three times as large as those of females, and the large resonating chambers on their faces that give them such a distinct look.
The females in turn, appear more fox-like as is the norm of most megabat species.
All in all, information that really didn't help Sammy in the slightest, as he tried to make sense of three different books that, in theory, should give him a vague idea of what the hell was going on with his body this time...
To put it in simpler terms, he'd turned into a bat, as per say of those ye olde queer tales of vampires that were capable of shifting into those little chittering flying rats that flew out of caves and dreary old castles at night…
But then what he'd seen reflected (because most modern mirrors were not backed by silver or other such pure metals) had most definitely not looked like a squashed-nosed winged rat. It had looked truly like a freakish monster.
But that was getting a little ahead of himself really...
There were things one had to note beforehand to really comprehend what Sammy Lawrence was currently going through: Starting with the attack.
Two years ago he'd been assaulted by what he'd once assumed to be a creature of mere legend, although at the time he'd thought it was a random dog attack because what had taken a chunk off of him looked inhuman (more like a very warped looking pug-snoutted thing now that he really thought about it).
On awakening the next morning at the hospital, he'd been informed that he'd henceforth be barred from entering such facilities because he now suffered from vampirism, and that his name and records had been archived by some secret governmental agency that then directed him to a sub-civilization of non-humans.
Shocked and confused, he'd been quickly integrated into a coven that took no time to teach him the basics.
He was to live life as if nothing had changed, hidden among mere humans, yet he'd be judged as a pest by those that recognized specific documentation he now had to carry for "security reasons" (aka clearance for services to deny him due to his ailment).
Oh and he had to cope with the harrowing realization that food did nothing for him other than eliciting a form of pleasure (through stimulating his taste buds) and that he needed to instead find nourishment in human blood, otherwise he'd either die or go into an uncontrollable frenzied state (in which case he might end up dead anyway because if he so much as killed a person he'd be put down like a rabid dog).
No pressure right?
Funnily enough, Sammy had actually adapted to this drastic change. The poor man had to, otherwise he was screwed.
And then again it hadn't been all that difficult since the coven was less of what you'd assume from the olden tales of groups or communities of vampires living in the same roost, and more of a civil service in of itself.
It was like having a parole officer really. One that gave you some pointers in the right direction, and that reminded you of feeding schedules.
Feeding itself wasn't as bad either, twice every month in specially assigned locations where cattle would be provided to them by a few sponsored ranches.
What really bothered Sammy about all this was the maturing of his vampirical traits. Specifically the part when one night he found himself ripping out of his clothes and seeing his body grotesquely transform into a quadrupedal flying thing that he couldn't quite put a name to. Hence why he'd come to the library in search of answers.
Still the best description he got was for some African fruit bat that had a face that not even a mother could love.
How could a vampire seemingly become a herbivorous bat, when he knew for certain he'd slaughtered two horses the previous night?
"Found anything yet deary?"
Sammy startled slightly as Mrs. Harrison, bless her for being the supportive sweet old grandma figure that she was in his time of need (and one of the few humans who knew of his predicament and didn't judge him for it), joined him with a couple of books.
She'd taken them both, plus Abigail, to the library to help him figure out about his strange transformations.
She was also the one who took Abby on the nights he needed to feed because he couldn't trust himself not to attack her.
He was too akin to a wild animal on a frenzy when he felt the hunger calling, which Mrs. Harrison had stated was normal for fledgeling vampires like himself.
"Honestly, just this ugly looking thing… it's the closest I've found to what I saw in the mirror."
"Ah, the hammer-headed bat! They're quite unique I'd say… My dear husband, god rest his soul, used to stuff them back when he hunted in Africa. He thought they might bring him luck, the nutter." The old linguistics teacher smiled, the gaps where she was missing teeth making it look slightly crooked but no less endearing. "It isn't unusual for vampires to instinctively take on forms that don't quite match their dietary needs. Most who change become similar to a species that best suits their needs. This one I'd say has qualities befitting of you deary."
"That's… not very comforting." His nose had always been a sore spot. Turning into an animal whose face was 90% nose was just insulting to him.
"Don't take it so badly deary." Mrs. Harrison chuckled. "What I mean to say is these bats, specifically the males, are known to be quite vocal. You, my dear, are quite vocal, are you not?"
Well, when she put it like that…
"That's a yes in those pretty eyes of yours deary. And besides, not many new vampires can say they naturally became megabats. You're very well endowed in that aspect."
She took great joy in getting him to blush at such a comment. He could see the devilish glee in her kind old eyes, accentuated by crows feet and wrinkles.
They picked up a few books on the "specialized" area, Sammy vehemently ignoring Abby's questions of why his face was so red, and soon enough the trio was on their way back to the apartment.
Sick leave (which he took twice a month as mandated by the coven) would be over tomorrow, so Sammy needed to prepare.
Because working in an enclosed cartoon studio run by Joey Drew would definitely spell trouble for a vampire that had just earned their shifting ability.
-
There are a set of very specific rules for new vampires. Don't expose yourself, don't expose the community, don't expose the sponsors or patrons.
Sammy had gotten pretty lucky, Mrs. Harrison was a patron and one of the best at her job.
She provided rehoming possibilities to fledgeling vampires, and ensured their safety within the communities they'd been integrated in.
She also kept an eye on hunters.
So of course Sammy was quite aware that Joey Drew was a person he needed to watch out for.
Joey Drew, who was notorious for having at least 36 confirmed kills under his belt. Here's where things got tough: Joey knew Sammy was a vampire, so he tended to keep a pretty good eye on the music director as well.
It was a perpetual game of cat and mouse.
A very dangerous one that had just reached a new level.
Because Sammy's overall safety lay within what his coworkers thought of him vs what they thought of their boss's eccentricities.
No one was crazy enough to believe that their coworker was secretly a vampire, or that their boss was essentially the equivalent of a vampire poacher.
And that is what Sammy wanted to maintain. A veil of normalcy to keep himself safe. One that would be much harder to maintain now that he had matured out of the first two years of being a fledgeling and developed such a large and rather monstrous looking shift.
Hazel eyes locked with icy blue ones as the music director locked eyes with the founder of Joey Drew Studios. They drank coffee in the break room, surrounded by oblivious employees, and maintained this tense stare-down until Henry came by to drag Joey away.
Then Sammy would let out a quiet sigh of relief and go back to work ironing out the flaws in his current composition.
Jack would pass by his office to drop off a few new lyrics, he'd point out which needed a bit of tweaking, and then he'd be alone with his thoughts and his sheets up until he had to help Susie with recording.
Then he'd spend a good hour or two conducting the band, catching the brief glimpses of his ever watching boss in the corners of his eyes.
The staring contest would restart on every break, and Sammy would have to seek safety by mingling with coworkers (some of which he could not stand).
Norman was often his go to, as Joey never risked these sorts of behaviours with the larger southern man around.
The projectionist was a very bright man after all, and could dig up dirt on anyone that so much as rubbed him the wrong way.
It was a miracle he hadn't figured out Sammy's little secret thus far.
"Runnin' from the boss again?"
"That man is insane… I swear he's obsessed with me, Polk. It's creepy!" He'd replied after sneaking away to practically glue himself to Norman's side during another much needed coffee break. He desperately needed a smoke, his skin felt tight and uncomfortable.
"Drew don't know no boundaries. Yous should consider takin' it up to Henry." Norman suggested. "Only man ta boss will listen to."
"I wouldn't want to bother Henry because of Joey." Sammy huffed. "The poor man isn't his keeper."
"Sure coulda fooled me." Only three more hours of this. Three more hours and he could go home.
"Mr. Lawrence, a word." Speak of the devil… Joey Drew himself feeling bolder than ever as he moved over to address Sammy in Norman's company. "About the most recent composition."
"Devil's Swing. What of it?" He'd worked hard on it to act as a counterpart to Angel's Tango. One of his finer masterpieces if he did say so himself.
"I find it's going in the right direction… But it just lacks this… shine to it." Joey gestured vaguely "Like it's missing something that'd make it just right."
"Shine… you think it's missing some shine?" Sammy suppressed the need to growl. What was the man on about? Just this morning he'd been happy with it!
Lord forbid Mr. Drew could ever make up his mind.
Norman watched the exchange quietly, keeping a close eye on both of them as Joey gave one of his signature grins. The kind that'd make the little devil darling himself quite jealous with just how much tooth it showed.
"As we're on a tight schedule, I have to ask you to fix it by midnight tonight. Since you were on sick-leave recently, I'm sure you can compensate for setting us back with overtime." Oh, oh dear.
Sammy could now see what he was up to.
By midnight the studio would be virtually empty. Just him, the ever oblivious Wally Franks, and Joey Drew himself.
Oh he was in trouble… Unless he could do the alterations well before, but then if Joey wanted to trap him in the studio where he couldn't get help, who's to say he'd accept any of his corrections?
"I…"
"Well, on with it then! No time to waste!" Joey gave him an overly friendly pat on the shoulder, those icy blues glinting with manic glee as he walked off.
Norman wrinkled his nose.
"That man ain't right in the head… Yous just came back from the doc."
"You know how it is. Only thing Drew cares about is money." And Henry, to an obsessive degree actually. More so than following Sammy around now that he thought about it.
Either way, he had to get to work now, or he'd be screwed. "I'm going back into my office. There's no way I'm sticking around until midnight."
"Best o'luck. I'll be in my booth if ya need anythin' from me."
Sammy needed an escape from their boss, but he couldn't exactly tell Norman that. He was the last person that needed to find out one of his coworkers was a damn bat-shaped leech. The blackmail would be horrid!
-
The clock read 23:47 by the time Sammy had finished, and honestly the blond was ready to break.
One by one everyone in his department had packed up for the night and gone home. Susie had come by to give him a quick peck on the cheek before she'd saunters off humming a chipper tune.
Jack had come by to remind him not to stay too late and then been on his way as well. Wally himself was nowhere to be seen, probably cleaning that spill he'd heard about in Heavenly Toys, so the music director was completely and utterly alone.
And he was running out of time.
Joey was going to get him.
"Damn it… I've been good with this. I haven't even tasted human blood, and I'm still going to get put down by some crazy asshole…" he put his face in his hands and groaned. The tightness if his skin had only worsened as his stress piled up.
Stress-shifting was very much a thing and he really didn't want to chance transforming in the studio to release some of the tension.
With his luck Wally might walk in on him.
"What do I do…?" He could try scaring his boss into letting it go. That bat form of his was pretty ugly, it'd scare the devil right out of Drew himself.
Or it'd just make him step up to the challenge.
A knock startled him out of his thoughts.
"Y-yes?" He chastised himself for sounding so shaky, especially when it wasn't that grinning bastard who opened the door. "Norman?"
"Hey Sammy, I need a favour." The Louisianian greeted him. "I messed up my arm pretty bad while fixin' one o' them projectors. Yous wouldn't mind drivin' me to the hospital right?"
"I… No of course." He was surprised, noticing the makeshift dressings on Norman's arm. They were messy but he couldn't see or smell his injury so it was likely a burn of some kind. Those projectors tended to overheat and catch fire at times.
"Good, I'd ask Henry but he wents home early tonight… Strange really, Mr. Drew let a lot of folk go home early tonight..." Norman shrugged "And even if he could drive, I wouldn't bother ta boss t'do this for me."
"I'll drive, I was done anyway." He left the sheets out so that Joey would find them as they were with ease. "Nearly midnight too, so Drew can't get on my case for leaving a little earlier."
This was the escape he needed.
He owed Norman his life, even if the other man didn't realize it.
The two made their way outside at a leisurely pace before Norman motioned for Sammy to follow, much to the blond's confusion.
They ended up in an alleyway (not dodgy at all, nope) where Normal pulled off the bandages and revealed his arm was just fine. Sammy stared, eyebrows raised.
"I lied, I don't need to go to the doc, but I don't think that butcher needs to know that… Have a good night Sammy, and stay safe." The much taller man grinned cheekily before transforming before Sammy's very eyes, into a truly massive Mauritian flying fox.
"Oh you're kidding…" The larger vampire chittered, clearly amused by his reaction, before flying off into the night. "So much for having something over Polk…"
The music director huffed and began walking towards his car, stopping when it dawned on him. Norman would likely cash in this favour when he least expected it…
"Son of a bitch, that man better not ask for something impossible…"
You win some, you lose some.
As much as he hated to lose to Norman so often, Sammy was at least glad to win this despute with Joey.
For the time being at least.

DCTL Liveblog: Chapters 4-8
The character interactions in this are really good for the most part.
Spoilers under the cut:
Chapter 4
why is Buddy describing Sammy as “pointy” so funny to me
also this further proves Susie has shit taste in men
I was worried Buddy and Dot might get together in this - while not inherently bad it’s super annoying that every single book that puts a man and woman together forces them to be in a relationship by the end because of the Heteros (TM). Here Buddy’s like “I thought she was into me at first because I didn’t know why else she would want to hang out but it turns out she just wanted to be friends and I am super grateful about that and it’s really sweet
While I like it because it makes for a 3-dimensional character there’s also something amusing about Joey of all people being the one to be the least judgemental about race/gender and whatnot
“Of course everyone’s welcome here! All are equal in the eyes of Satan!” “what”
I was going to make a joke about Dot stealing Wally’s keys but it turns out she literally did that
I really like Dot’s character - she has a ton of personality and she has a lot of chemistry with Buddy. I was/am worried that the novel’s going to be too dark for it’s own good compared to the games, but Dot seems to be offering some much-needed relief in that regard.
Chapter 5
"you wanna be a cartoon character when you grow up” I love foreshadowing dialogue like that
Chapter 6
Mrs. Lambert has strong Lesbian vibes
Richie/Dave/Jacob might be another “set” of the Butcher Gang - three people, one old guy that doesn’t give a fuck and two more engaging younger guys.
Sammy confirmed to just be a weird bird that somehow made it’s way into the building
Susie did say he was handsome right what what the fuck is up with your tastes girl
Norman also confirmed to be the smartest person in the studio yet again
“Allison. Alice. It’s close see” huehuehue
Cowboy Bendy is a thing. Showdown Bandit crossover writes itself
Dot is confirmed to be 18 and Buddy a bit younger. I don’t remember if his age was given earlier but I was picturing them more in their early 20s? Them still being kiddens is cute but it also makes things so much more sad
Chapter 7
oh boy, the racist bullshit, I’m so excited to read this (y’all better realize the sarcasm here)
also the problem is Sammy here, even if you ignore the bigoted shit, is that he’s like a feral asshole. In the games and whatnot he could be an asshole when annoyed but he was fairly amicable otherwise - Susie liked him, he talked normally during the Q&A, even as a ink creature he’s crazy but not an asshole. so even if you take out the bigoted shit he still seems wildly OOC
For those wondering: It doesn’t outright state Tom is black, but he says “What’s the matter? Not used to giving someone like me respect?” (Sammy was yelling at him and calling him by his first name only when Tom told him to fuck off) and when Sammy asks what that means Tom replies “you know what it means”. So it’s pretty heavily implied, as I don’t know what else it could really be referring to.
Sammy: *takes a long swig from a flask* Buddy: I don’t think we’re allowed to have alcohol in here Sammy, hoarsely: this is ink
Chapter 8
Don’t have much to say about the scenes of Buddy and his Grandpa, but I like the interactions so far
“Buddy, our Head of Finances already wants to die, we don’t need you making his life harder”
also this is actually correct - the ink wouldn’t matter because it’s mass produced but heavy weight high-cotton drawing paper is hella expensive
“only one janitor for the entire studio” can we get an F in the chat for Wally
While I was saying that Sammy feels majorly OOC in this, Joey is majorly in character. I can usually tell by how easily I can read their dialogue in their voice - with Sammy I had to force it, but with Joey I’m reading it in his voice without even having to try to do it. It’s good shit
Pretty sure Susie’s already dead at this point. While it’s a bit disappointing to not hear from her here it sounds like the entire second book will be centered around her so that’s fair
Joey, breaking into the theatre next door to spy on everyone: “HEY WHEN ARE YOU GUYS GOING TO PUT ON JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR”
huehue tite drop
Joey, nearly killing Buddy: it was just a prank bro
I wonder if Joey was going to use the stage to put on performances with the perfect cartoons?
TL;DR: Still good so far save for the racist bullshit
#bendy and the ink machine#batim#batim: dctl#dreams come to life#joey drew#sammy lawrence#dot#outdesign posts things#batim spoilers#liveblog#kind of surprised nothing has happened yet regarding the ink demon but then again I like the slow burn technique

Bendy and the Ink Machine: "Dreams Come to Life"
Guess what I got my hands on!
My Rating: I'd say...about 3 out of 5 stars. Or a solid B/B-
I really wanted to like this book, and there were aspects that I did enjoy. It was a quick and easy read, the original characters were engaging, and the last 30-40 pages were great! Unfortunately, too much of the rest of it felt like an original coming of age novel had taken a wrong turn into a back alley where our favorite BatIM characters happened to be loitering, rather than a novel rooted in the source material. It was unfocused and, while neither side of the story was bad, trying to mash them together made the final product a bit unsatisfying.
(I probably don’t need to say this, but…spoilers below the cut.)
The Good, the Bad, and the Meh:
The Good:
Buddy, Buddy's family, and Dot. I liked the focal original characters, for what they were worth. The author did a good job of making the reader feel for them and put a lot of effort into making them well-rounded. We just spent way more time with them than necessary.
The Setting. Joey Drew Studios, Buddy's home, and New York as a whole. The story was descriptive in a very sensory way, really making you feel the heat in that long-ago New York summer and the visceral differences between Buddy's world and Joey's farce. This was also effective at highlighting differences between Buddy’s perceptions at the beginning and end of the book.
Joey. Joey is the one game character in the book that received a decent bit of exploration and development. Buddy's initial infatuation with Joey's empty promises and charisma giving way to cold facts and the creeping horror of realization about how twisted he actually is...that's interesting to observe.
Sammy, Norman, Tom, Allison, Henry. To be clear, Henry's not actually present. At all. But the few lines we get about him are almost as much as we get from the game characters that are working at the studio at the time of the novel. What tiny bits we get about them are nice, though! Especially Sammy and the final conversation between Buddy and Tom.
The Studio. It feels properly creepy and convoluted. Since Buddy and Dot spend a significant amount of time exploring it, the studio's atmosphere receives a lot more focus than many other parts of the plot. It doesn’t quite match the game studio’s layout, but that’s a nonsensical mess anyways.
The Meh:
The Ink Demon. I couldn't figure out whether to put this in the positive or negative bracket so I'm leaving it somewhere in between. "Bendy" is properly terrifying and twisted and there's something that hits you right in the gut when you find out it's locked up in a tiny room alone, howling mournfully, when Buddy finds it. Then it gets out and starts killing people and that sympathy goes away very fast. However, it doesn't really feel like the Ink Demon from the game. In the book, it acts like a beast when Buddy sees it but, when you actually stop to think about it, its actions don't make sense for an animal driven by instinct. What is it actually doing most of the time? This might be a sign that it changes between the time of the novel and the game, but its actions in the novel are so contradictory that I think it’s a mistake. So....it's good as a typical PG-13 horror monster, but it doesn't feel like the Ink Demon, or "Bendy", despite the descriptions.
The Subplots. The many, many subplots. Don't get me wrong, I like Buddy, but hyper-focusing on him so much was extremely detrimental to the rest of the story. He had about six different things going on in his life and the first person POV meant the reader was stuck with him for every second of it. This brings us to the biggest problem in the novel and the cons section.
The Bad:
Buddy's Story. Thing is, it isn’t bad. It's a coming of age story about an artistic kid from the wrong side of town trying to find himself in post-WWII New York. It just...has nothing to do with Bendy and the Ink Machine. Even when Buddy is hired by Joey, there's about one page of studio investigation for every ten pages of Buddy's personal life struggles. It felt like the author started writing the first plot then tried to cram Bendy and the Ink Machine into it later on. And it really feels like the author cares more about the coming of age novel than the Bendy/Studio stuff. Joey was a key figure in the book but it was less about his madness driving the studio to ruin and more about Buddy trying to find a role model/mentor and being let down hard. (All of this is until the last forty pages or so, until Buddy talks to Tom and Allison at the party. Then it FINALLY feels like a BatIM book.)
The lack of time spent with the BatIM characters other than Joey. I liked what little we got of them, but I swear there were maybe ten pages, combined, of their roles in a book that was almost 200 pages. That includes Norman, Sammy, Tom, and Allison. Sammy might have gotten a bit more simply because Buddy thought about him a lot, but he wasn't actually present any more than the others, he just got name-dropped more often.
The limited first-person perspective. There are plenty of cases where this is a good choice, but in this book, it was very restrictive. Buddy didn't know much, wasn't interested in knowing much, and didn't focus on the things that the reader found most interesting. We all understand needing to make money to care for our loved ones, but he’s working in an increasingly demonic (haunted?) animation studio. Focus, Buddy! Every time the plot seemed to be teasing something interesting, Buddy ran away from it and, since we were tied to him in first person, we never got to see what happened after he left. If we’d cycled between characters in first-person, that would have been a different matter…but we didn’t.
The lack of Bendy. And Boris. And Alice. Buddy wants to draw, clearly, but most of the time, he just talks about learning to draw and wanting to make cartoons. The subject matter doesn't seem to be important, so even though we're in Joey Drew Studios, Buddy rarely talks or thinks about the titular character beyond lines on a page. The entire book, 'Bendy' just felt like a name dropped every now and then, not the beloved 'dancing demon'.
Buddy's Fate. Getting turned into Boris, I can accept. It's the rest of it. The whole "I took off into the depths of the studio where not even Joey Drew could find me and I watched as it grew and changed, then I decided to write this for Dot.". What? WHERE did he stay? And WHY? Joey was still sacrificing people, and he did nothing to stop it? What was he eating, if bacon soup wasn't all over the place yet? How did he remain undetected in the pre-warped studio? He had family - did he not try to contact them? What about Dot? She still worked there and understood what was going on - he never tried to talk to her? Send her a note? ANYTHING? Why did he write the book AFTER the studio was abandoned? On the face of it, this is a weak resolution, but it's actually worse – all of this is completely out of character for the Buddy we've come to know during the novel.
The whole 'mentally turning into Boris' thing. I get that Buddy's writing a retrospective, but we get a few paragraphs of rambling about his mental state every five chapters or so and it's never consistent – Buddy’s voice is the same the rest of the time, no matter how much he says he’s slowly sliding into Boris. It just serves to remind the reader that they're reading a BatIM prequel. It would have been a better choice to put a longer introduction from his human perspective in the beginning and a fragmented, more 'Boris' follow-up at the end to show the degradation of Buddy's mind.
*Sigh*
It would have been so much better if the author had followed a character more invested in the studio instead of their own life. If it had to be an original character in the current book, it should have been Dot. Better yet, it should have been Tom or Norman – they are both well-known game characters who were personally involved in the horrors going on behind the scenes and Norman came to an end just as bad as Buddy's. Plus, they would have been more focused on the game characters rather than the original characters.
I got the ebook for about $5 and I don’t regret buying it, but I probably won't read it again.
In Short:
The last 30-40 pages were great and everything you could want from a Bendy and the Ink Machine novel. The rest of it read like the author was trying to Frankenstein together a coming of age novel and a short horror story without much success. Other than Joey, that is; the 'unscrupulous, delusional businessman who pushes too far' character fit well into both sides of the story.

Are you really just gonna cocktease us with Death and Taxes and then not tell us anything?? I want those sexy details! How was it different from Sammy's relationship with Joey? (He said it was different, right?)
Ask and thou shalt receive. I have plenty of sexy details for you.
The biggest difference between Death and Taxes and Nightmare Symphony (I’m using that as a ship name now) is that Joey genuinely appreciates Sammy as a person and was never planning on just using him as a toy. Thus, he abused Sammy out of desire to make him incapable of leaving, while he abused Grant to vent general frustration.
The Death and Taxes relationship started with Joey feeling a little lonely and hoping to break a dry spell. Grant happened to have a meeting with him that day, and he was acting all intimidated because he had to report some bad financial news. Joey found that very amusing (and was not concentrated on the report at all), and started asking about Grant’s marital status and other personal questions, which flustered Grant even more, which got Joey even more interested. Since Grant was single (even better- recently divorced), well, that’s when they planned their first date. After the date, Grant was basically like, ‘what just happened? Did I like it? Will it happen again…?’
‘Joey took me out, and then took me to bed. I… did like it. He’s exciting. But it probably won’t happen again.’
But it did. Joey started taking Grant out whenever he wanted to feel big and powerful, or knocking on his door whenever he wanted sex. (This could mean at three in the morning or in his office during work hours.) Grant rarely said no to him unless he had good reason to. He knew he was just a toy, but his thinking was that he should enjoy it while it lasts. So they were both getting something out of it, and there was nothing abusive about their relationship.
In a realistic Death and Taxes story, one of three things would happen at this point: 1) Joey would get bored of Grant and stop taking him out, and would fuck him less often until eventually he found a new toy and their encounters would end completely, 2) one of them would find a partner and break things off for monogamy’s sake, or 3) the novelty would wear off, Grant would start to resent being used, eventually grow a spine, and cut things off. Minimal pain either way.
This, however, is not that story. In this story, Joey accidentally starts developing feelings for Grant. Joey gets really frustrated over those unwanted feelings. Grant, as far as Joey was concerned, was not lovable. All he was supposed to be was a toy. And now that he was getting boring and comfortable in their relationship (if you haven’t picked up on it, Joey enjoys making him nervous), Joey was stuck with the annoying inability to just walk away, no feelings hurt.
Joey coped with his unwanted feelings through constant put-downs (‘I have no idea why I’m doing this with you.’ ‘You’re so boring.’ ‘You’re so pathetic.’ ‘Come on. Why can’t you keep up with me?’ ‘(When the studio’s finances are bad) You can’t even do what I hired you for.’ Stuff like that.). Grant was always a good person to rant to, apparently even if the subject of the rant was himself (Grant was keeping Joey at an emotional distance, too, and convinced himself he didn’t care). Joey also started bruising Grant up during sex- punches, rough grabbing, knees to the ribs, stuff like that. (“It’s just a little rough sex, don’t be so dramatic. I won’t hit your face.”) Grant wasn’t very confident to begin with, and the mistreatment wore him down until he felt pretty much unlovable.
Joey eventually accepted that his feelings weren’t going away, made things official, and promised to be gentler with Grant. Grant accepted- at this point he desperately wanted to be treated lovingly and to feel wanted.
The thing is, once you’re used to using something (or someone) in response to certain emotions, not using it anymore is hard. So, Joey still used Grant as a punching bag to let out frustration, though somewhat less frequently now. The abuse and controlling behaviour never got as bad as it did with Sammy. Grant broke things off six weeks after they’d made their relationship official, in response to Joey slapping him across the face in public, hard enough to leave a hand-shaped bruise and a crack in his glasses. Getting rough in the bedroom Grant could justify, words could be deserved, but striking him out of what was clearly impulsive anger was abuse, plain and simple.
There were a lot of spiteful words when Joey broke up with him- that Grant was pathetic, didn’t deserve him anyway, that Joey had no idea why they were even dating to begin with, that he would never find anyone who loved him, that Joey was the closest he’d ever have. Thankfully, Norman was right there with him.
And, well, the break-up put Grant pretty high up the list next time Joey needed a soul for his ink machine experiments, so Joey killed him about a week later.
So, yeah… not as abusive as Nightmare Symphony, but there was a lot less love between them. Just frustration and desperation.

BATIM SPOILERS AHEAD
SECRET MESSAGES FROM CHAPTERS 1 - 5
With a sort of analysis/shitposting on my side? Yea.
Chapter 1
There is like two walls with these, that’s a lot. Is he... aware from the beginning now? I mean someone’s crossing this and Henry is implied to be leaving these messages so...?
Choose your fighter.
Ok wow harsh. Haven’t you seen all these cool AUs in his house?
Also can I just point out how... Joey... literally... drew... the Studio...
Oh, my bad.
He drew STUDIOS. Because the damn thing keeps happening over and over again.
Oh fuck if that’s the case then that is clever. I made puns about him drawing the studio before, wish I did something with it before Chapter 5 dropped, that would be hilarious to look back at fvdfjkvnfkj
That’s just depressing. But like... yeah...
Wow Henry you must be a proud mom now
Hey remember when DAGames played Chapter 4 and was interrupting Alice Angel’s monologue by telling her to stop watch him poop
It spells “There never was a choice.” (never underlined)
Those messages are either hilarious or straight up depressing.
It’s... kinda sweet how Henry from the past (pasts) helps his future self (selfs). And encourages.
I’m pretty sure she’s got many hearts in her stock.
STOP WATCHING ME POOP
Henry what the fuck
The falling human made out of the two Ls, the Y and the splatters above it-
Fuck.
GASPS NO WAY
Fuck. Fuck. Fuck. He is not the creator of the cartoons. He is the creator OF THIS WHOLE FUCKING STUDIO AND EVERYONE IN IT. Like it’s maybe a sort of obvious thought but when you let it sink in... damn
Rest of the chapters under the cut because it’s really long
Chapter 2
ARE THOSE IRL BODIES? YES? NO? SYMBOLS OF THEIR SOULS BEING TRAPPED HERE? WHAT???
Do you remember that? Or only slightly? Oh man. “I should have warned him” thoughts and then you get a pissed off boy in Chapter 5.
COME ON NOW
Ok. How. How did you write anything there. When. The only time he’s aware would be right after Sammy hits him with the dustpan. So is he like fainting and writing it? So he wouldn’t be able to write anything else like SAMMY IS GOING TO KNOCK YOU OUT WITH A FUCKING DUST PAN because yeah he’s passing out so it’s just... OUCH! Also to confirm this he is facing the way he’s facing when he’s on the floor. God that’s both shitposty and depressing. Nice.
Henry don’t be a dick
So you do sing 👀
I wonder how Henry figured out walking backwards to not trigger the Demon here and write this specific message. Also is Joey behind those closed doors because there’s the whistling.
Is he cooking
Chapter 3
Oh, hi.
Excuse me what
Henry is a Jacksepticeye fan confirmed
Joey is a man of ideas... and only ideas.
Which is why he created a studio, an OC based on a person he has a one sided crush on (me) from who he stole and claimed their OC as his, also made that stolen OC a thing and then made both of the OCs fight in an infinite loop in the massive studio which is behind his kitchen.
This both has a literal meaning but is also like a deeper general thought Henry do you want Joey to create a therapist OC you seem to have some problems
Why do these coffins hurt so much
Who are you asking Henry because Alice sure won’t fucking read that And why won’t you just write it with regular ink why you gotta do it like this
Why does he keep this thing secret? Did he make it? Probably since he’s the one leaving the messages Hmm
I fucking wheezed.
But also imagine Alice just giving her speech and Henry writing something on the wall with his finger Unless he doesn’t write that in a literal sense but like... spiritually Huh
THEY HAD DRINKS TOGETHER AND JOEY WAS PAYING FOR THEM AWW
He’s so fucking gay I swear to fucking gods.
Let’s hop on the existential crisis train, choo, choo.
How can you be kind to people who try to murder you
But this. This. Is such a good fucking work/life thought like damn. I love this game for those.
But are those just some thoughts Henry wanted to get out of his head or does it have something to do with the game because I’m kinda getting pacifist/neutral/genocide route vibes from this. But it it’s not the case it’s still pretty neat, we do meet them, we just don’t have the choice to treat them in some way most of the times.
It’s on level 14 and damn you game damn you yet again. I guess it can also be applied to that moment when The Projectionist is reaching out for Henry who is hidden in the Miracle Station? Like we don’t know what to expect of him because he had that small moment of realisation of... something. And he is also one of Henry’s “old friends”.
Is Is Ink Demon killing The Projectionist a symbol of Joey’s jealousness like Norman: *reaching out in curiosity, maybe to help* Joey: >:( my fren
Chapter 4
Thanks. Roll credits. So Chapter 4 is intentionally pointless in the terms of Henry trying to save Boris. THAT’S FUCKING SAD STOP IT
NOT. MY. DOG. YOU. BITCH.
So Henry is catching up. Joey does regret all that shit he did. I wonder how exactly does it tie here, with Bertie. Maybe that theory I had about Bendy Land being Hell for Bendy? :0c I don’t really think so but that’s a thought.
I’m losing my shit.
Okay that seems like another woke thought.
Henry can’t change not being able to save Boris.
Joey can’t change all of his mistakes. But Joey is the one making it happen over and over again so it might be slightly pointed at him?
Like, pal. Stop dwelling on your mistakes. Move on. Let me the fuck out.
This game is really heavy with this problem:
Move towards your goal, hope, believe, dream, don’t give up. Well actually do if it’s like super hard.
????? This is such a deep uuhhh analysis of this like one of most basics functions of how we people fucking work and live, what keeps us going. Holy shit I am IN LOVE with that.
But oof yeah Henry was and IS the one good at pushing Joey to do the right thing. Man...
Instead of trying to cheer you up lemme just write this message you can’t read real quick.
THAT WHOLE FUCKING THING WAS POINTLESS AND I’M LOWKEY MAD
;_; holy lord sweet baby jesus
Can Henry like be fine fun concept Meatly please
I suggest giving this a read if you as I weren’t familiar with that expression https://quoteinvestigator.com/2014/09/23/heels/
Of course it’s a pun on “Time heals all wounds” expression. The word “heels” there refers to contemptible people. Earliest citation: 1934 and it got more popular around that time till something around the 50s-60s according to that website at least. Neat.
That is interesting. I guess we can associate the door with Joey as well since Henry warns himself not to go through them? And the Demon drags Projectionist’s corpse through them. Sorta against his will, heeeeeeh.
They look like they could be interactive but I dunno :0c
Oh, yeah. That two-faced motherfucker. That’s my bitch.
HE GAVE THEM FUCKING NAMES
Chapter 5
I feel like it was kinda exaggerated. Henry they like saved your life twice or so, how salty can you be
OKAY LET ME TELL YOU ONE FUCKING THING
AT FIRST WHILE PLAYING I THOUGHT JOEY WROTE THOSE BECAUSE
I mean why the fuck would they drop this star outta nowhere AND HE IS EXTRA LIKE THIS
But then again there’s this “Don’t go through the door”
Unless Joey did contact him through this as well? But I’m assuming it only because of the stars vfnjksd Idk I like when symbols actualy uhhh symbolise something
ALSO YOU KNOW WHAT’S INTERESTING
This is pointing at ANOTHER way. Without the boat. Possibly the Valued Employee (take the long walk) achievement?
I would check it right fucking now but my saves are fucked and I would have to replay everything again and I’m just too tired hhhh
Also Valued Employee does sound like someone who listens to their boss right?
And I’m getting the impression it’s not all Henry’s writing because it seems as if there is a different personality present? Idk
That sounds like sort of both of them. Joey is cheering for Henry, even if he’s planning to make him go through all of this again. Does he... have to make him go through it? That’s a bit odd. Joey nani the fuck.
I like the idea of Joey saying this ok lemme dream vskjvnskjvs
But it could be Henry (past/present/whatever) trying to cheer himself up like he did with the “Don’t be scared” message (if that was also him)
Oh, Henry...
Once people That implies that real people got somehow affected, right?
I love the halo and the bone, also you can see the bone only if you give it to Boris in Chapter 3
Wait It is The whole fucking Ink Machine Is inside Holy
A cooking gay.
Ink Demon/Joey parallel implication. I don’t think he is Bendy in a straight up sense though. He is/was a soulless boss, just how soulless Bendy was/is. I wonder if there is a studio version of him or HHHHHH complicated stuff
Is it like When people create something good but they just don't know when to stop it eventually ends up really bad And the Demon took The End so his cartoon couldn't be finished and it all had to keep going, Joey had to keep going Hm?
So like there is no message on Henry’s second desk
But it does trigger the same dialogue AND IT HURTS
Actually a lot of people missed the arrows so just so you know
But I thought we don’t like doors
Also it’s the last hidden message so I do believe it has a special meaning
CONCLUSION get Henry outta here and give him loads of therapy
Is his fucking last name Stein because he made monsters via the Ink Machine by powering it goddamnit Joey don’t trick people into creating that shit

Mirror Mirror Chapter 3
Here’s the next Chapter to Mirror, Mirror. A somewhat spoiler, after this Chapter I’m going to focus on the toons so it will be a while before we meet up with AJDS!Joey
AU belongs to: @ask-joeydrewstudios
THUD
“Ow.” Joey groaned. He looked around and saw the studio of this other world, different then the studio he worked at.
First off, this studio was dark, and the smell of ink was strong. His studio was full of light, laughter, and the smell of ink wasn’t as strong as it was here.
“What happened here?” Joey asked. He took a tour around the studio, calling out to see if anyone was here. “Sammy! Susie! Henry!” No answer. “Norman! Wally!” He yelled once more, but still no answer.
SLAM
Joey flinched seeing a wooden board fall right in front of him. He sighed in relief seeing it was nothing, but he saw something, or in his case someone familiar towards his left. “Boris! Oh I’m so glad to see-“ He stopped, covering his mouth in horror.
Boris was strapped to a table, his chest wide open, dead.
“N-No. I’m too late.” Joey cried. His own son was dead, and he wasn’t there to stop ‘Joey’. He cried just a bit, when he realized there was something up with this Boris. Sniffling, he inspected the Boris a bit saw no signs of fluffy fur and that the ears we’re styled a bit differently.
Joey gave more of a relief that his Boris is somewhere safe, or at least for now. He had to hurry before his Boris became like this poor wolf.
Joey left the room so he didn’t have to see the poor Boris in this state. He found another room on the other side of the hall, and saw a switch to the Ink Machine. All of the offerings we’re on their pedestals, but the machine wasn’t on. “So this is the switch to your ink machine, Joey.” Joey decided to look around this studio in hopes of finding the toons.
During his search, Joey spotted something on the table. He tilted his head seeing a caste player. Once he clicked it he was surprised at a familiar voice.
“At this point, I don't get what Joey's plan is for this company. The animations sure aren't being finished on time anymore, and I certainly don't see why we need this machine. It's noisy, it's messy, and who needs that much ink anyway? Also, get this, Joey had each one of us donate something from our work stations. We put them on these little pedestals in the break room. To help appease the gods, Joey says. Keep things going. I think he's lost his mind, but, hey, he writes the checks. But I tell you what, if one more of these pipes burst, I'm out of here.”
-Wally Franks
Joey chuckled, the Wally in this world was still the same as in his world, but he sounded like he was annoyed with everything this Joey had to offer. Was everyone else in this studio okay? Or something bad happened to them. He didn’t know what to think.
BANG
Joey looked around where the bang was.
BANG
The bang went again this time further down the hallway. Joey followed the bangs, and saw they we’re coming from the pipes. They we’re leading him to the one thing he and ‘Joey’ created.
The Ink Machine.
“Wow.” Joey gasped. The ink machine was much larger then the ink machine at his studio. “So this is your ink machine?” Joey tried to take a step closer, but the machine turned on by itself, making ink flood everywhere. Joey bolted out of there as ink poured down making the entire studio floor flood and the wood breaking to pieces. Joey didn’t know what to do other than run till the floor gave out due to the ink, making Joey fall down, down, below to the studio.
The fall was lucky not to break Joey’s back or kill him, since there was a pool of ink bellow. Joey swam to one of the valves and turned them making the ink drain. With that Joey was able to read one of the writings on the walls.
THE CREATOR LIED TO US
“Lied to you?” Joey asked. He continued walking and draining ink as he went. He then came across a door, opened it and saw the entrance blocked off. Luckily there was an axe for him to use to break off the wood. “Alright you. Let’s see what your studio is really about!” Joey growled as he smashed the wood with the axe he just found. He went through door after door till he reached an unfamiliar place. There, he found another tape recorder and played it.
''He appears from the shadows to rain his sweet blessings upon me. The figure of ink that shines in the darkness. I see you, my savior. I pray you hear me. Those old songs, yes, I still sing them. For I know you are coming to save me. And I will be swept into your final loving embrace.
But, love requires sacrifice. Can I get an amen?”
-Sammy Lawrence
“Sammy?!” Joey yelled in shock.“
"I said, can I get an amen?” Sammy echoed.
Joey stayed silent now traumatized. Since when did Sammy look up to him or Bendy. Joey gulped and slowly walked away from the recording.
Once away from the recording, Joey finally made it to the music room, nothing unusual except for the ink puddles all over the area. Joey had his back turned not knowing something from the dark puddles was moving towards him.
“Ah here’s the lights.” Joey turned on the lights and stood in fear. “Oh my!” Joey screamed. Out from the ink we’re searchers clawing at Joey, quick thinking Joey used the axe to destroy them all. One by one the searches went back into puddles.
“That was close.” Joey sighed, now splattered in ink.
Passing through this studio Joey heard tapes from Susie, Norman and Wally once again. To him everyone seems to be their usual selves, except for Sammy. Once he looked around he saw nothing was here, so he decided to leave.
But, before he can escape-
BANG
Something, or someone hit Joey over the head.
“Rest your head. Its time for bed.” The voice whispered.
“S-Sam-Sammy?” Joey asked. Before he got an answer Joey passed out.

Who’s the Crew?
Decided to make a post version of that page. Note: It’s really long. Hence the...
EDITED: 6-3-17
LIVING CREW:
Dani Jones:
She’s a 21 year old that decided to explore an abandoned studio with her friends. Unfortunately, while they escaped, she didn’t. After walking through Hell and back, even being dead for a short time, she finally got out with several other humans and three toons.
Being the good person that she is, Dani kept her word to Henry and decided to take care of them and let them move in with her,
That said, she is having fun teaching them about technology and other things. And helping them adjust to their new time period. To make things better, they have two guardian angels protecting them.
College Major: Vet Tech
Job: A basic retail job.
Height: 5'5
Age: 21 years old.
Family: Parents and a older brother
Birthday: ???
Wally Franks:
Due to the trauma that Joey did to him, he’s still jumpy and suffers nightmares like mostly everyone else. Eventually Shawn makes him a plushie and he squeezes it to calm down when he feels like having a panic attack. Wally isn't malnourished anymore either.
When he is calm, he and Dani have a sibling relationship and will play video games and stuff with her and others. He really loves memes and will reference them for hours. He also enjoys Let's Plays on a certain website. And teases a certain someone about a Irish video gamer.
For the most part, he is his old self again. Much to Sammy’s dismay.
Height: 5'6
Age: 22 Years old.
Birthday: ???
Family: Parents, two older brothers, and a younger sister. Was closest to his second oldest brother.
I might add more for him at some point.
Sammy Lawrence:
Sammy had several problems at first. He was having memory problems, nightmares, and reverted back to his corrupted self. He started losing sleep as a result of the nightmares. It got to the point that Dani was worried he wouldn't be able to leave the hospital due to reverting back and forth so much.
But by some angelic miracle, he slowly stopped reverting between his two selves and was finally able to go home. By February, his nightmares had stopped, he was sleeping again, and while he had his moments, he wasn't trying to kill Dani or anyone else anymore.
Sammy isn't sick or malnourished now that it's been several months and he is still very much buff under that hoodie. He did where a t-shirt for a while but got checked out by a lot of guys and gals so he took to wearing the loose hoodie.
He is trying to play and write music again with an app that Dani has since she can’t afford instruments and that keeps his mind off of things. He and Jack were thinking of becoming music teachers so they could get out of the house for a while. After all, being around each other will drive them up the wall far too often. Especially for Sammy when Wally is around him.
That said, he is still afraid of escalators and hates them with a burning passion.
Job: Possibly a music teacher?
Height: 5'8
Age: 30 Years
Birthday: ???
Family: ???
Susie Campbell:
Susie isn’t doing the best. She still has nightmares about the things she did to the others in the studio and being trapped there all alone, stuck as that monster.
She was surprised when Dani approached her in the hospital and offered to let her stay along with the others since they were back to normal. At first, she was going to refuse but realized that she didn’t have a home or family so Susie agreed since she had nowhere else to go.
For a long while she was distant towards Dani, Alice Angel, and Allison but did talk to some others like Sammy, Thomas, and Shawn. Susie came around when she realized they really didn’t have anything to worry about anymore and is starting to want to do girl things with the few girls in the house.
But she is still prone to nightmares and doesn't get a lot of sleep very often. The toons still being afraid of her doesn't help. But Alice is starting to interact with her more each day and seeing this is easing Boris and Bendy's worry.
Height: 5'5
Age: 27 Years Old
Birthday: ???
Family: ???
Norman Polk:
Norman has ringing in his ears but he can still talk, see, and hear. The ringing just makes him a little hard of hearing. His eyes are very sensitive to bright lights though so they try to keep things dim the best that they can. When outside, he wears sunglasses.
Surprisingly, he didn’t gain too many problems. But he is fairly strong now and has a phantom pain in his neck. Like the others, he also suffered from nightmares and lack of sleep for a long time before they started ceasing to exist after moving in with Dani.
He, like everyone else, really misses his family but knows he can keep the younger crew members safe since he couldn’t be there for his own kids.
There are times where he’ll think he is still in the studio. He won’t attack the others but will wander around the apartment silently and stare at others with a blank expression. But he hasn’t tried to hurt them yet. He does snap out of it on his own just fine and thinks he blacked out. He'll even pick someone up and carry them around too like he did with a plushie or a projector.
He decided to just retire.
Height: 5'9
Age:49 Years Old. Oldest of the living crew
Birthday: ???
Family: Wife and a few kids. A teenage daughter and two younger boys.
Thomas Conner:
Thomas had nightmares for a while but was otherwise fine. Only thing that still happens is that he’ll randomly gain a phantom pain throughout his left arm and will have to look to make sure he still had his limb. And that it wasn’t part of an old animatronic like before.
He was fine with being home with the others for a while but since they needed money and he was in much better shape than some of the others, he decided to start working again along with Lacie.
Job: Does repairs with Lacie throughout the city at homes and has recently been starting to work at businesses too.
Height: Close to 6 ft
Age: 38 Years Old
Birthday: ???
Family: ???
More to come later.
Shawn Flynn:
Since nothing was wrong with Shawn, other than the usual nightmares from time to time, he is one of the people that gets to enjoy the 21st century without any issues holding him back.
He and Wally are both like older brothers to Dani and the three of them would always play video games or look at memes, which is still something they are learning about. But he does get annoyed at how Wally thinks he and this one Youtuber sound alike. Which they DON'T! (They totally do. Hehe)
When he isn’t doing things with them, he is watching DIY videos. Mainly ones involving making plushies. He actually took it up as a hobby and makes plushies for his roommates. When there gets to be too many he donates the rest to a children’s hospital.
Job: Makes plushies to keep himself busy and plans on selling them for some extra money. He really enjoys DIY videos.
Height: 5'6
Age: 26 years old
Birthday: ???
Family: ???
More to come for him too.
Grant Cohen:
Even in the 21st century, Grant is still a classy gentleman that likes to wear nice dress shirts, pants, shoes, and belts.
He had nightmares from time to time from when Joey ‘killed’ him and what went on afterwards in the studio. But doesn’t have any medical problems overall. The worst as how malnourished he was but over the several months he gained that weight back and is now doing great.
Since he doesn’t have any problems, he also started working again for some extra money. It took a while, but he finally got a job.
Job: Working as an accountant again.
Height: 5'8
Age: 41 Years Old
Birthday: ???
Family: ???
I’ll also add more for him.
Jack Fain:
Jack was a classy gentleman back in the day. He was also a ladies man in his younger years before he got married and had two daughters. Now that they have long since passed on, he has taken to seeing Dani as a daughter.
Luckily he was a passive Searcher in the studio so he only suffered from nightmares. Otherwise, he was pretty alright. He ended up being one of the first to go home with Dani. Since he was fine, he helped her figure out where everyone could stay and get things situated.
He really enjoyed playing with music apps on her Ipad since they had no instruments. She also gave him her Ipod so he could listen to some musicals she had on it. Hamilton is his favorite at the moment.
Now he and Sammy might become music teachers. They haven't decided if they wanted to work at a school or start their own business somewhere.
Job: Possibly a music teacher?
Height: 5'7
Age: 39 years old
Birthday: ???
Family: Two daughters and a wife. Oldest is Cadence and youngest is Melody. Cadence was a teen when he was ‘killed’ and Melody was 10 years old.
Lacie Benton:
Lacie came home not too long after Jack did. She had her share of nightmares too but nothing too bad. Dani took her to the mall but she chose to get into gardening since she wasn't much of a shopper and used to be a farm girl before getting into mechanics and stuff at the studio.
Dani let her plant some stuff in their front and backyards since it gave her something to do and seemed to help her lose her nightmares very quickly.
She is still planting stuff and even has a garden of flowers and vegetables but when Thomas said he was ready to start working again, she decided to join him. Now they work together and own a little repair business.
Job: Repairman with Thomas
Height: 5'6
Age: 30 Years Old
Birthday: ???
Family: ???
Allison Pendle:
Nightmares and malnutrition was all this gal had. After going home and settling in, she went to the mall with Dani and fell in love with all the modern clothes (especially the scarves and cute headbands or hair clips)
So Allison is a polar opposite compared to Lacie. She loves to shop and go to the mall and do girl things like mani pedis. Lacie gags whenever she hears the shortened versions of manicures and pedicures.
It took a while, but her and Alice are trying to befriend Susie and help her see that they hold nothing against her. Months later, Susie is starting to come around but not a lot at the moment. Allison is fine with this, one step at a time works for her.
A hobby that she picked up is writing. And no not fanfics. Just original short stories about anything she can think of.
Height: 5'6
Age: 27 Years Old
Birthday: ???
Family: ???
THE TOONS:
Toon!Bendy:
Bendy was nervous and very skittish for a while. But he eventually started to become his mischievous, happy little self again. He is still skittish at times though. Especially when Susie came home. He was afraid he'll end up in a cage and get tortured again so he was practically in Dani's arms or lap at all times. He and Boris are starting to trust her now though.
He’s having a blast playing games on Dani’s tablet and watching current cartoons to see how different they are from his. But they have to be careful and watch that he doesn’t order something on Amazon as a joke. Especially if it’s 22 of the same thing and 7 of another. (It has happened before and now Dani doesn’t have her debit card on her profile anymore, But that doesn’t mean he doesn’t know where to find it.)
Unfortunately, he can’t leave the apartment or yard due to people asking questions. If someone does see him, they get told he’s a cat and as such, he has to pretend to be one. He’s partially okay with it because he likes playing pretend but it does get annoying after a while.
He also hates not being able to see the world all that much. Dani will take him to the park to play on the playground but that’s mostly it.
Bendy is happy Sammy and Jack are there. He really missed hearing their music. And Jack really helped him calm down after Susie arrived.
Height: He is the size of a toddler. Allowing him to be picked up fairly easily.
Age: Bendy has no age,
Birthday: ???
Boris the Wolf:
Boris was very nervous and scared when Susie came and hid inside of Dani's room with Bendy until they realized they were alright now and started to come around. They don't trust her completely though. Not yet anyway.
Once he settles in, he picks up his old habit of eating a lot. The others don’t want to but they stop him from time to time due to needing to feed themselves.
Boris is enjoying watching movies and playing video games. Even playing on some music apps on Dani’s tablet. He is usually resting his head on her lap, head, or shoulders and enjoys being petted.
Height: 6 ft
Age: He has no age.
Birthday: ???
Alice Angel:
She was excited when Allison was finally joining them and was worried about Susie when she did. She was a tad nervous when Susie first joined and spent a lot of time comforting her toon brothers. But with Allison's help, they were able to get Susie to start coming around and be herself again. Slowly.
It did hurt when Susie became very distant around her but has been trying to convince Susie that nothing was her fault and that it was all Joey’s.
She mainly hangs around the girls and is still singing and dancing.
Height: 5'5
Age: She has no age
Birthday: ???
DEAD CREW:
Guardian Angel!Henry:
In this world, angels and demons can come back looking like how they did when they died. And even talk and interact with the living.
However, Henry can make himself invisible and visible. And as such, the crew can’t see him but he’s around watching over them as they adjust to life in 2018. And helping out with money problems and stuff when he needs to.
He, Bertrum, and Joey can communicate with each other though. Needless to say, he isn’t at all happy with him and what he did.
After spending time in Heaven with the other employees, he said goodbye to his wife, Linda, and decided to come back to Earth to watch over the few that survived. He’s enjoying learning about the present day world alongside everyone else. While keeping a eye on them.
But he knew that one day Joey would come back out of Hell, vengeful as ever and as a demon. He and Bertrum would be ready though. They weren't going to let Joey hurt any of them ever again.
Job: Protecting the living crew as an angel.
Height: 5'6
Age: Henry died at 57 years old in the studio.
Birthday: ???
Family: Had a wife named Linda. And several rescue dogs.
Angel!Bertrum Piedmont:
At the end of the fic, Henry comes to him with a proposition. If he didn't have any one waiting for him in Heaven, then maybe he could become angels with him and stay back on Earth to protect the living crew.
In the end. Bertrum did this to pay Dani back for helping set them free and since he too knew that Joey would be back one day. And with so many people, Henry would need help protecting them all.
That said, he is still pretty uptight and egotistical. But doesn't have as big of a ego that he did when he was alive.
He and Henry would sometimes appear to the crew after they wake up from a nightmare or to just say hi. But they don't do it too often. They like being invisible and just talking to each other. Which the living crew can't hear unless they are visible to them too.
At one point, he did visit Dani when she was alone and ask about going to an amusement park one day so he- er- they could see how much rides have changed. Cedar Point is a few hours away but they might try and save up so they could go to Disney World instead. That way they all could see it. It's just a matter of how they could bring the toons with them. Even if they have to stay in the hotel.
Job: Same as Henry.
Height: 5'8
Age: Died at 66 Years Old(Oldest of the dead crew)
Birthday: ???
Family: None.
Demon!Joey:
Just like Henry and Bertrum, he too can make himself invisible and visible.
While in Hell and getting tortured into becoming a demon, he decided that no matter what happened to him, he would try and make things right.
But he didn’t expect Henry and Bertrum to be there too. And he understood why they didn’t trust him or want him to reveal himself to the living crew. It really doesn't help when he lashes out at the living crew in pure jealousy. They don’t know what is going on exactly but know that Bertrum and Henry are there to take care of it.
That said, he refuses to hurt kids and animals. And will constantly hold himself back from doing any real harm.
He knows he may never be truly forgiven. But he is happy to see some of his employees got another chance and that the girl isn’t dead after all.
Height: 5'7
Age: Died at 30 years old.
Birthday: ???
Family: None

Can I ask what are your headcanons for the studio staff pre-disaster? Like how they interacted with each other? I'm interested in a lot of your AUs but I think I'm missing some context that was stated outside of fics. Sammy, Norman, Shawn, Susie, Allison, Henry, Thomas, Joey, Wally and all the rest! What's your crew like?
Ya know I don’t think I’ve fully laid out the staff dynamics of any AU or family dynamics… Just bits and pieces. Soooooo…. guess I better do that lol
Mostly the dynamic is the same general feel across AUs. The biggest difference in staff dynamic really is Listen, You Come Into My House since it’s not as tied to canon. I mean, it’s sorta close but I take a lot more liberties there. Norman in Sweet Dreams is a big outlier tho, he is my sweet projector child and I love him dearly.
Sweet Dreams for the Devil—Joey Drew: Childhood friend of Henry. He actually was a reasonable nice guy! But then an “event” happened and things started to change with him. This lead up to the argument with Henry causing Henry to leave the studio. But he and Henry used to hang out all the time, they built the studio together on their dreams.
Henry Davis (the last name I went with cause yeah…): Middlest of the Davis siblings Was the lead animator, pretty much everyone looked to him for direction, even Jack and Sammy would have him come down to listen to new songs. Joey did the publicity stuff so Henry didn’t have too. A lot of Henry’s falling out with Joey also had to due with the fact Henry’s older brother Riley and Henry himself were drafted.
Riley Davis: The oldest of the Davis siblings. He worked with Thomas and Wally as part of the maintenance crew before being drafted. He loves his brothers a lot, and enjoys hanging with Thomas and Wally. Even though Wally plays way too many pranks for his liking.
Avery Davis: The youngest of the Davis siblings. Worked the closest with Joey, managing the company image. Did not end up drafted for the war. Joey as he got worse treated him more like a secretary of sorts. He also was one of the few Joey had working on his “pet projects”.
Sammy Lawrence: Good friends with Jack, but both preferred working on what they did best in private. Wally bugged him a lot, mostly because usually it was right around a major deadline that Wally would do something stupid (which is Sammy’s opinion). A bit of a rocky relationship with Susie initially, she had tried to become… more than coworkers, but Sammy is married to his work, and his wife Melody. He has two kids Gloria and James, 9 and 7 respectively.
Norman Polk: Was hires directly by Joey as a replacement for the old Projectionist who was rather ill. Norman had been living on the streets prior, but is able to rent a small apartment after beginning to work at the studio. At first Sammy hates him because he makes a lot of mistakes surrounding his job when he starts. But eventually Sammy realized what he was doing and they smooth out their relationship, Sammy takes Norman under his wing a bit. Norman also is friends with Wally, Norman’s 18 and Wally is 20, and Wally is full of schemes. Wally taught Norman about how to navigate the vent system. Henry didn’t really get to know Norman too well.
Susie Campbell: She had a bit of a crush on Sammy but after realizing he was taken she kept to herself. She was always about personal gain anyways, and set her sights at trying to get Joey to give her more money and status at the studio. There weren’t many other female employees and she didn’t feel like making nice with any of them. Henry left shortly after Alice Angel was introduced.
Allison Pendle: She was hired after Henry had left. (Honestly tho because we don’t have a tape from her I don’t really want to add too many connections to her)
Jack Fain: Sammy and Jack occasionally went out for drinks but Jack was as married to his work as Sammy was. He didn’t really interact much with Norman however, since Norman usually wandered around with Wally when Sammy didn’t need him to do anything.
Thomas Connor: Totally a prickly grouch. While good at his job most people preferred dealing with Wally over him. Hated Bertrum with a passion and wished Lacie would stop complaining for five minutes. Was alright with Wally though. But did tell Wally to stop roping Norman into his schemes.
Wally Franks: Liked to play pranks on anyone he could get away with doing it. Especially loved to get Norman in on it because Norman was like a ninja, able to sneak up on anyone. Never pranked Henry or Joey though, that was a bit too dangerous. Henry found Wally’s antics amusing and liked hearing his opinion on what was going on around the studio.
Grant Cohen: Kept mostly to himself in his office. Wally liked to prank him the most. Hated the amount of work Bertrum and Joey had him doing.
Shawn Flynn: Head of merchandise but usually ended up taking the work on himself. Hated when anyone pointed out flaws with the plushies or other things. Drinking buddies with Thomas after running into each other one night at a bar.
Lacie Benton: Could complain for hours. Most of the staff members had a pool going for when she’d actually quit. Worked closest with Bertrum but were by no means friends.
Bertrum Piedmont: Hahahahaha no this man had no bond to anyone at the studio. They were all beneath him.
Listen, You Come Into My House—Henry: Was friends with Joey, but they didn’t meet until they were in their 20’s. Got drafted, but after the war just didn’t have that creative spark anymore so stayed away from the studio. Henry knew everyone at the studio before he left though.
Norman: Ended up quitting before shit got real bad. Was really good friends with Sammy and Jack.
Sammy: Friends with Jack and Norman, while liked his alone time at work, was way more relaxed outside of it. Was not married in this AU.
Susie: Not an evil binch in this AU! (Was written before ch 3 came out so she was pretty off base huh?) She and Allison would switch off playing Alice, they sounded incredibly alike, to the point where only they could tell who recorded what, and even they got muddled sometimes. Susie had a bit of a crush on Sammy, but nothing came of it since everything went nuts.
Allison: Friends with Susie. (Again we don’t know anything so… not too much I got for her there)
Jack: Friends with Sammy and Norman. Tended to get lost in thought on lyrics a lot.
Wally: While fond of pranks and jokes it was all to try and cheer people up. He would make excuses to see people that he hadn’t chatted with in a while. Hung out with Grant a lot (mostly because of how stressed the guy was) and Shawn.
Thomas: Grumpy but also a bit of a father figure to Wally. He taught Wally a lot of things.
Lacie: Another grump but also was very motherly, if you weren’t feeling in top shape she always had some sorta home remedy for you to take.
Shawn: Also another friend of Wally. Tended to get antsy about details.
Bertrum: …I honestly haven’t really planned him out, but definitely will be a much more toned down version of the canon version. Less I’m going to kill you Joey Drew and more you fail to see my brilliance Mr. Drew how dare.
Joey: …again I haven’t planned him out. But he’s friends with Henry. After Henry left he got more stressed out and stuff which caused most of his relationships with the staff to be strained. Joey also was overly curious about many things, things one should generally be more fearful than curious. I’m still tossing ideas around about him tho so nothings final about him.
Pretty much every other AU is some mix of these two tbh…

An Angel’s Distraction
Based on @doodledrawsthings Hell’s Studio AU and this comic by @yunisverse
Author’s Note at the bottom. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ They were all going to die.
They were all going to die and it was the devil himself that would kill them.
No, the demon they were all thinking of wasn’t Bendy but their music director, Sammy Lawrence.
It had started as a nice enough morning. The toons had decided to meet up for breakfast before work and were enjoying their meal together when they heard the pipes rattle.
Then the creaking started and the groaning. Soon they heard a loud crashing and the sound of a large amount of liquid being let loose somewhere.
“Oh @#$^. Boris, go and turn the machine off, Alice come with me.” Bendy was up out of his seat in a flash, leaving a dust cloud in his wake as his friends took off to do as he said.
What they saw was horrible. If it had been any other room in the building they somehow would have been ok. But this, this was the worst thing to happen.
The Music Department was sitting in a few inches of ink. The halls were covered in the dark liquid, from the stairs leading into the department to dripping down the projection booth.
“Alice, get the pump in the recording room. I’ll get the one in Sammy’s office.” She nodded and did as he asked and they waded in the ink.
Alice’s was easy. Even though Sammy thought it was a secret it wasn’t really; the whole company knew of his ‘sanctuary’ and how to get in it. It was just easier to let him have it then tell him to stop. Alice played the right instruments and soon the first pump was revealed and turned on, the ink receding from the hallways. It would need a good mopping but the department would be able to work today.
That was until she heard Bendy running down the hall toward her.
“What’s the matter?”
“Sammy’s...the pump...it’s broken and Sammy’s office is flooded. We’re all going to die.”
The angel rolled her eyes and started down the hallway. It couldn't be as bad as what he thought it was. Unfortunately she was wrong.
Firstly, the pump was broken and they couldn’t get the rest of the ink out of the hallway around his office. Secondly, his office was drowning in the black stuff. It was coating the floor a good few inches but was also dripping from the pipe inside the office. The force of it cracking open had caused the door to break, which was the only reason his whole office wasn’t swimming in ink.
“We need a plan. We need a plan, we need a plan.” Ink was starting to drip down his face as he started to pace the hallway. Alice looked around before snapping her fingers and pointing at him.
“I need you to stop saying that. That won’t help us. You go and call Joey and Henry, see if they have any ideas. I’ll let Boris know what’s going and then I’m going out for the day.” Alice turned to leave but Bendy grabbed her arm, trying to keep her from going.
“Whadda mean you’re leavin’?! You can’t leave me here to figure this out!”
“Do you want Sammy to even step foot in here? He’ll get suspensions if you tell him to go away but if I tell him I want to sneak out he might go for it.”
The smile that spread across Bendy’s face was one of the largest that Alice had ever seen. “Al darling, that’s the most devious plan ever. Go, you have my blessin’.”
“And what’s a blessing from you worth Devil Darling?”
“Enough to not prank Sammy for at least a week.”
“Go. Start calling people and I’ll take care of Sammy.” Bendy let go of her arm and she ran to her room, grabbing her coat, hat and sunglasses before running down to Boris and telling him the plan.
The wolf readily agreed to her plan and raced down to start moving things out of Sammy’s office so they could have it cleaned by the end of the day.
She was waiting at the front of the office, fiddling with her glasses and hat as she waited for their music director to show. She didn’t have to wait long, Sammy liked to be one of the first people inside in the morning and today was not exception.
“Sammy! I need your help!” She ran over to him and grabbed his hand, dragging him back to his car. She spun him around within so much force it almost knocked the cigar out of his mouth.
“Alice! What are you doing? We have work!” It was nice, to be one of the only people that Sammy didn’t raise his temper to but she could tell if her lie wasn’t good enough she would be seeing it.
“It’s important, I promise! And I worked it out, Norman and Boris have everything I covered today. I know Boris doesn’t get anger like you do but his puppy-dog eyes make anyone do what he wants. Please Sammy, please?”
The musician signed before unlocking his car and getting inside, Alice following in with a giant smile.
Bendy watched the car drive away as he finished his phone calls to Joey and Henry. Between the two of them and the rest of the music department working on cleaning up they should be able to get everything back to normal before Sammy returned.
That was the hope at least.
They lost time convincing Joey that, no Satan didn’t need to help with the clean-up job, and no even a small summoning would be too much.
By the time Sammy and Alice came back at quitting time everything was back where it needed to be and only a person who looked for all the details would notice.
So of course Sammy knew something was up.
“Why does my whole department smell like Wally dumped his bucket on it? And who moved my papers around?!” His shouting could be heard by the toons in the upper levels but everyone else had left for the night.
It was probably safer that way.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ So I got sucked into playing batim after Jack finished chapter 3. I fell in love with Hell’s Studio AU and their Sammy reminds me so much of the band teacher where I work. This comic made me smile but I wondered what the toons were doing to fix the problem.
I do not own Bendy and the Ink Machine or this amazing AU.
BATIM Chapter 3 Liveblog
I’ll be watching Ertyez’s playthrough for this!
Keep in mind these are loose and unorganized thoughts, and some things I say won’t make sense.
I will check out the updated chapter 1 and 2 afterward. Want to get spoilers out of the way first.
Under the cut for length.
hey alice
WOAH ALICE
BORIS HAS A FLOPPY NOSE
rise an fall = steam description mentions something coming to surface, so you’re probably moving between upper/lower levels of buildings
BENDY FELIX CLOCK
hey, the Fan made it in despite it not even being a FNAF game
aww, there’s a nice hammock for naps. be great if a demon wasn’t trying to kill you
Bendy clock says it’s about 7:35
ooh, so that’s where Boris has been living
cartoons have underwear, good to know
henry is vampire confirmed
is there... ink in that toilet? that’s just unsanitary
ooh, those are some nice sexy ink textures
Boris is... adorable
and he has tea!
one of those cards has Bendy’s face on it
boris and henry are evenly matched
has henry like... been down here a while hiding out or
uh hey what the fuck
does joey want to like amalgamate these guys or something?? there’s pieces from all three of them in the college
aww, he has a little TV. does it get reception?
wait did Boris kidnap you
oh yeah, alice confirmed for speaking earlier
boris seems to be mute? alice was probs made from susie, her VA, so that probably means boris wasn’t
awwwwwwwww
cartoons confirmed to need to eat? unless they just do that for pleasure/fun
I wouldn’t sleep on a pillow with Bendy’s face on it
why the fuck is there a stove in here anyway?
warm soup’s gotta be nice. cold soup is just gross
this is so wholesome
you think Boris laps up soup like a dog
why... why can’t we go back exactly
wait are those bacon soup dispensers because holy shit
who the fuck would want cold bacon soup why is there an option for that
oh, so the flashlight has the “Gent“ on it. company name maybe?
don’t point the flashlight down the hallway of N. Bonnie will jumpscare you
denial is the best way to die down here henry
were those the things from the trailer making those noises?
boris... boris that’s the wall buddy
Boris I’m sorry for doubting you. you’re a Good Boy
giant sammy-mask style bendy head... I Don’t Like It
HOLY DICK THAT IS A BIG ROOM
ooh, this must be where they make the plushies!
joey stop expanding the damn studio the thing’s gonna collapse at this rate
singing. Alice must hang out here. maybe Susie donated the bendy plushie?
joey get your passive-aggressive ass posters outta here like half your employees are literally in hell
“I better get overtime for this“ if you can’t joke about the little things
only alice, boris, and bendy plushies. they must’ve been the only main characters, or at least the most popular ones
“why is there always something blocking the door“ he’s becoming too self aware
the new item glimmer is very nice, much more noticeable than the old one
ooh, they had a whole assembly line down here for mass production
by the way, the visuals are fucking gorgeous so far
ooh, new person! and he’s Irish!
that’s like the 4th person in this studio with some type of accent
how do you melt... a plushie...
oh no, alice angel didn’t become as popular as bendy. poor susie
Joey is A) very possessive of bendy and B) quick to temper (the steam description points out that Bendy is pissed). suspicious
joey has like a 1% employee approval rating, and that was pre satan
the ink is thick enough to sculpt apparently. Henry’s pretty darn good at it too (and he actually makes an on-model Bendy, joey)
is it just me or are the camera movements much more interesting?
I like how henry’s solution to open the door is to... start the conveyor belt again. whatever works I guess
is boris still in the vent thing
aww, alice has striped sockings. that’s adorable
no wait I change my mind this is not adorable
such a tiny little voice!
why is that poster upside down
this is Bad
that door has a start with a name on it. was alice already alive and given a room before the studio shut down?
NOPE BYE ALICE HAVE A NICE EXISTENCE
she has five goddamn fingers again
“I see you there“ mmm nope you don’t
oh cool she didn’t murder us up-front. take what you can get
too bad it was hinted out so heavily before the chapter came out that she was gonna turn, but oh well
switching over to this let’s play
oh hey, the candles are repurposed bacon soup cans, that’s a nice touch
are the plushies made of ink? the ink forms into the plushies, and that would explain the “melt them down“ line
her horns are bigger like Bendy’s as well, because, you know, demon
ooh, this is the path of the demon/angel achievement
mm, dreams come true, first wall message this chapter
dressing rooms for each character maybe?
oh no no no please don’t cry susie I love you
oh, so maybe susie isn’t alice and pendle is instead? unless joey still used her, her voice is so distorted I can’t tell
either alice turned to keep the part or she helped turn pendle to get her outta the picture
doesn’t sound like alice has the southern accent..
I thought it didn’t sound like her on the recording playing, that would explain why
there’s gotta be a way to fix this... the creator lied to us... dreams come true on her wall written by sammy... oh no
bendy you ass
something’s gonna murder us as soon as we go down that hall isn’t it
wait, did boris move the cutout or did he just happen to be there when it moved? I mean he was dead when the one moved in chapter 1
hooray, violence!
oh my god, the punch cards are save points. I love it
ooh, new characters! maybe the butcher gang were the ones chasing each other down the halls?
FUCK
oh thank god it’s dead
why the fuck was it behind a poster exactly
ha, I knew there was gonna be a lift
HOW MANY FUCKING FLOORS DOES THIS HELLHOLE HAVE
over here now
come to think it, the butcher boy died when you hit it, but Boris still left a corpse. maybe there’s a difference between making things out of pure ink and human corpses?
ooh new person
I feel like these new people might be the butcher gang folks? there’s at least two so far
take an elevator down to hell for your lunch break, it’s fun
shit how many goddamn boris are there?? this isn’t the one from upstairs, it’s on a completely different level
OH OH FUCK OH FUCK OH
oh, so there were like multiple attempts at making the cartoons, but the ones that didn’t work were torn apart, maybe used for other things
oh my god, Joey and Susie were a thing. because alice and bendy were a thing
YOU SHOULD NOT LIKE HIM CALLING YOU ALICE
okay yeah susie is totes alice, the near voice replacement is what joey lied about
oh shit she’s been murdering all these toons (or... rekilling them whatever)
her face is fucked. does being a demon fuck up the process?
ooh, so toons can kill other toons then? boris I need you to get near bendy pronto
the first vs the second time... ink machine mark 1 and 2 respectively? the mk2 did have a “stability improvement“
‘a few favors’ look I’m just not interested in dating sorry
okay so I was right, she’s more of an anti-hero than straight up villain
so even she’s scared of Bendy. can’t blame her, he kind of fucked her up bad
aaand over here
ooh drill
oh shit bigger searchers
maybe the searchers are looking for more toons to kill and take things from like Alice seems to be doing?
hey I mentioned in an ask earlier than an object-head norman would be pretty damn cool right?? ahahahahaaa
oh man the ink’s spreading through the walls? that is fucking awesome and terrifying
oh no boris
Bendy doesn’t seem to see you. no cutouts either hmmm
“I have you to pick up the pieces“ do I look like wally
which one of these characters had a tommy gun
oh okay, so most weapons are made of raw ink as well
uh hey quick question what the fuck
uuuh no I don’t need to meet norman. I think he’s got his problems right now
ah, I think she’s prying out the hearts of the others and absorbing them to fix herself
maybe that’s why sammy isn’t a searcher? it’s implied he’s the one who killed that boris upstairs
ooh, the cartoons playing on the wall is a nice touch
oh god, the lift’s gonna break like that one tape said isn’t it
‘I don’t think I’ll ever get to see it‘ sweetie...
oh, I think that susie creeping in there before she slipped back into Alice’s personality
called it, stealing things insides to fix herself
this is boris numero uno in terms of being correctly made apparently, so it might be that an emotional connection leads to the best results but isn’t inherently necessary for the process to work to some degree
GIVE ME BACK MY GOOD BOY
aaanaand going back for the path of the demon:
hey how come boris doesn’t get a room
oh look, animation supplies
JOEY YOU SON OF A BITCH I WASN’T EXPECTING YOUR VOICE
“you can even cheat death itself” aaah yep there’s his motivation for turning himself into bendy all right, especially if he was literally dying o polio at the time
“positively silly thought“ like sillyvision
okay, I think I’m missing a few small things like recordings but that’s at least most of the story. in conclusion:
holy fuck
#bendy and the ink machine#batim#ink machine#bendy#outdesign posts things#oh my god i have... so much more evidence for my theories now it's incredible
