Educate yourselves, watch these when you can. Understand that this behavior, while probably some of the worst yet, is not particularly surprising coming from the devs. Particurly Mike.

and please, don't buy that fucking novel. Go read the original or the other two in the series. Adrienne Kress is an amazing author and it's terrible that her talent is wasted on an IP that has creators who do shit like THIS.

So. The graphic novel, huh.

The artstyle is pretty good, I can’t deny it. Joey’s design is beautiful, very dilf-coded. Buddy looks… young. VERY young. He’s supposed to be 17 in Dreams Come To Life but somehow manages to look 12 ? Plus, I don't know how to describe it, but he looks very...angry ? Upset ? I don't think his bubbly, awkward personality appears much in the graphic novel, with his gaze being very...severe. He just looks weird, like a 40 years old in a child body. And Norman… Deep breath. His design is…no. Absolutely NOT it. I didn’t expected much but I still managed to be disappointed. I’ll wait until we get to see Sammy and Tom (especially) before expressing what I think is wrong with these designs but… yeah. I’m so sorry, Norman.

That is the second drawing, I wanted to redraw that one scene in 'Dreams come to life' where Sammy tells Buddy to clean the ink in the supplies closet (that one scene where Sammy says for the first time "yummy delicious ink")

It is the first time Sammy appears in the book and honestly, I got so excited about that (It's not like I placed a bookmark almost everytime Sammy (or something funny) appeared in the book...)

Hey if anyone wants the pdf for that Dreams Come To Life Graphic Novel, you can hit me up. Once again reminding you guys not to buy it. If you literally buy anything that has a Bendy label slapped onto it, it just tells the devs they don't need to actually make a quality product. Attitudes of how mean it is to boycott a shitty book or how bendy fans should be loyal to the devs is exactly how so many famous people/companies get away with AWFUL practices the same way the bendy devs have.

I also feel bad for anyone who wastes/wasted their money on it. That thing is not worth your shelf space. I've read through the entire thing and it's garbage, art wise, writing wise and adaptation wise. Me and my partner are writing a whole damn google doc explaining why but yeah. I hope a lot of you can get your money back and discourage others from buying it too. It's the only way we can prevent the devs from pushing out such a rushed and awful product again.

Anyways below the read more there's a screenshot of a fucking coloring mistake on the damn thing [it might get fixed for the Final Final release but this being shown to be there just like 2 weeks before release should show how damn rushed and underpaid the artist was. Their portfolio shows they can do so much better but they were clearly not given ANY time to make this any good.]

Reminder! The artist and writer don't get ANY of the sales money, that goes directly to the bosses who kept cracking the whip at them to draw faster and faster.

Hey fandom, who'd be interested in me hosting a map type fandom project to redraw the Dreams Come To Life graphic novel ?

I've had the idea to host something like this for a bit now. It would act as both a protest against the abysmal quality of the artwork and designs within the book, but also as a love letter to show Meatly and Mike that we want them to care as much as we do about their series. I'd love to hear your thoughts and if you'd be interested in participating.

Problems with erasing Bendy Book canon:

With the FNAF books, we were told they were canon-divergent fairly early on. For Bendy, this was never specified, leading many to believe this was all just straight-up canon information that they were running with for theorycrafting. For a long time.

Why the hell would you de-canonize the ENTIRE origin story of Boris? He's a central character to Bendy and the Ink Machine.

You're going to throw out THE ENTIRE AUTOBIOGRAPHY OF YOUR MAIN VILLAIN? THAT'S.......NOT A GOOD IDEA!

(And before it's pointed out, no, we don't "need" Illusion of Living for "gay evidence." The point here is y'all released an autobiography for one of your two main characters and you're saying it's not canon. That's ludicrous.)

Things that were explained/brought up in the novels that apparently "aren't canon anymore": how Sammy got infected, Thomas's conflicting feelings about the machine he created, the origin of Boris the wolf, several instances of Joey's gaslighting and manipulative behavior and his slow descent into madness after Henry's departure, a look into Gent technology and the Gent experiments that took place after they switched over to "research", Abby Lambert (who SHOULD be in the mainline games all things considered), Joey Drew's ENTIRE AUTOBIOGRAPHY including his PHILOSOPHIES AND REAL ASS LIFE, ANDDD the themes of classism, racism, and sexism that were VERY present at that time in history. Among other things.

You're taking out several new characters for no reason. I'm not saying they all need to return, but it makes zero sense to introduce a bunch of new guys and then immediately abandon them...only to introduce a bunch of OTHER new guys.

I've seen a few comments in response to Mike that go along the lines of "oh thank goodness now I don't need to read the books to understand the lore!" No disrespect, but I think that's a fundamental misunderstanding of what the books do. They enhance your understanding of all the background plot. You don't need to read the books to understand the games. But that shouldn't mean erasing the existing information's canonicity because not everyone wants to read it.

Bendy isn't FNAF. Bendy has a much more streamlined plot. Not everything fits perfectly of course, but to take out such a large chunk of what we THOUGHT was the plot (or plot-adjacent) is headscratching to me. You claim to care about the plot, characters and worldbuilding and then you decide that some of the BEST written interpretations of these characters and their world just aren't "legitimate" now? .......All of a sudden?

When asked about the designs, they’re not canon, just like the rest of the books. Not to mention this book is even inaccurate to original dctl, only keeping the worst parts, such as the god awful Ink Demon characterisation. In the og and in the illusion of living, Sammy is said to be younger than Joey. But here he’s portrayed as older. The books are not only inconsistent with the games but they’re inconsistent with themselves, another reason they’re not canon.

Not my business if you like the book, do what you want, but don’t say these are canon cause they really aren’t.
