Sorry if someone's asked this question before, but what inspired you to start this project?

You know, I actually don't think I've been asked this before lmao At least not that I can recall

I was in a deep depression in 2017 (officially diagnosed that year, fun) and didn't know what to do with myself. I remembered that I had made a handful of Pokemon a few years prior in college and decided to crochet a little bit. Realized that the specific style I was doing was not very common (small, realistic/faithful to the official art) (usually you see variations on small+chibi, large+realistic, or using plush/chenille yarn) and thought "Wow wouldn't it be neat if /I/ was the one to do them all this way? Very special and very unique and very smart of me, yes." I didn't anticipate getting any real attention because of it, but one of my early posts got like 30 notes and that was the happiest I'd been in a while. I thought this project would just be a little thing to keep me not super depressed, but at some point I got pretty serious about seeing it through.

In short I was inspired by Pokemon just always existing in the background of my mind since forever and my need for validation and to feel creatively unique.

This is my parting message

I gave myself time to think and talked to some people about this and I have decided to say goodbye to y'all.

Time here has been great and I loved pretty much every second of it. However, I want to focus on my real life now. Tumblr became too big of a part of my life for my comfort. Basically, I think it will be better if I quit.

I don't regret this blog. It made me very comfortable in my identity, it educated me, it made me feel loved and brave and powerful.

But it's over.

I can't thank you enough for everything you have done for me. For every like, comment, reblog, ask, tag, message and boop.

@mmm-donut-seeds: Do you have your list of ones you havent done yet somewhere people can see it?

I forgot that I took down the FAQ post that had the old list, so I remade the current checklist I have and put it on a googly sheet.

I think it's mostly self explanatory. The checklist has each Pokemon's national dex number, the Pokemon name, and whether or not I've crocheted them yet. Some of the more recent ones I've done also indicate their order in which I made them (like Iron Moth is the 707th one). Then at the very top is the percentage of Pokemon I've crocheted already, as well as the actual number done and not done yet. There are additional sheets for the breakdown by region.

Definitely an ego thing but y'all should make bingo cards of pokemon I've yet to crochet and maybe that'll be fun extra motivation for me to actually finish them all this year. Because it's definitely possible, there are only 318 left to go, and that's less than a years worth so if I did a new one daily..

IMPORTANT: Keep the ammount of characters per person to a maximum of 1, this rule does not apply to close friends. This is so it doesn't get confusin and chaotic, havin one person throw 3-4 characters at me, even if not at the same time, is overwhelmin and disorientin. I basically link your username/sign off to a character so to see it in multiple characters just becomes messy.

creAItor goes by HE/THEY he used to go by It/Its however MareMundi kept using them as derrogatory and objectifyin pronouns and now he's not comfy with them anymore. Only close friends can use it/its on him.

creAItor is very much depressed and while not actively tryin to self destruct, he still has suicidal thoughts, ideates it, daydreams about it and has some instances of self-harm which may come out as, but aren't limited to, overworkin himself to use multiple turrets in multiple rooms at once, keeping doors closed for way longer than safe for him, attemptin to hack systems from the surface.

creAItor now has a body courtesy of Sebastian. Here is how they look like, in this body, creAItor is 8ft tall! Both arms can switch between hands and turrets and the turrets can switch ammo between regular bullets, paintballs or rubber pellets, the turrets have lazor pointers as well.

About the rewrite!

I've been thinking...

... in fact what I haven't been thinking about a lot lately were the McCarrics. The predictable happened; I've been putting my heart and soul - and a lot of research - into that real-life-novel-project. And I can only get emotional about one story at a time. Unfortunately I don't have any script for the next chapter, so I can't continue until I write something to bridge the gap. But I've been shooting the Christmas-Special, which starts today.

I've also been thinking about Veronaville 1914. Looking at what I have so far, and how it's written, it's growing into a nice little novel. But I'm not at all sure how to illustrate and post it. I still remember that failure with Through Parting Glass, which was roughly 1930s themed. Actually I really liked the images I took, but the required amount of decorating and dressing everyone was too much to keep me motivated. And, another half-abandoned project, my Veronaville-World in the Riverview Map has a distinct vanilla-game-charm. Not sure if this is still the aesthetic I want for the story, though I'm definitely still thinking in the layout of that map.

Then I'm also trying to finish my PhD thesis, and a lot is going on on top of that. Something that also requires a fair amount of thinking. But the above two points are what concerns you as readers.
