obsessed with charlie vickers's commitment to the idea that sauron wanted galadriel as his assistant--as if the dark lord of mordor believed the key to ultimate dominion over middle-earth was convincing the most chaotic of elves to somehow manage his shadow empire's day-to-day operations. 'if only galadriel could handle my travel arrangements, manage my digital platforms, and keep track of my appointments, maybe then my dominion would be truly unstoppable??'

maybe charlie is right though? maybe sauron is out there building his fortress and dreaming of the day galadriel shows up to streamline his evil agenda? maybe in sauron's control freak mind organizing files and arranging documents is romantic and so these are highly intimate moments: the two of them coordinating the perfect invasion and going over supply chain logistics while he teases her about her chaotic attempts at record-keeping (because you know his records are perfect and hers are a complete disaster.)

you can almost imagine him wistfully slipping the one ring over his wedding finger and thinking that if she would just join him, manage his calendar, book his dragon flights, rent his horse drawn carts, and manage the evil fortress guest list, they could be unstoppable--just a dark lord and his assistant forever bound by middle-earth's most nefarious to-do list.

GENOVEMBER Day 2: Crayons! I challenged myself to use a medium I couldn't erase, and a pose I wasn't sure I could do well without erasing.

Regulus watches in pure amusement as James grunts and groans while hauling in another large container, putting it on top of the other three that they’ve previously brought in. They huff when the box is put down, and it prompts Regulus to laugh. James levels him with an unimpressed look, “You could help me.” 

“Is there anything else that you need to bring in at this point?”

“Small things,” they shrug, “Just a couple at this point.” 

“I thought you loved me,” Regulus groans, throwing himself over the couch, “Why would you make me venture out into the cold to get small things.” 

James rolls their eyes, “If you won’t do that, then can you start figuring out which boxes are inside decorations and which ones are inside and start figuring out where you want to put things. We both know that you’ll put everything where you want it anyway.” 

“Don’t be mean,” Regulus hums, moving to push himself up. 

“I’m not being mean,” they shake their head, fondly smiling at him, “I appreciate that you take the initiative with things like decorating, we both know that I’m useless at it.” 

“Ah yes, I do remember your flat before we moved in together.” Regulus grins at him, walking to the boxes and throwing the lid off one of them. James laughs gently and presses a quick peck to his cheek before heading back out to the garage to grab more decorations. 

Regulus has moved the outside decorations to one pile and the inside ones to another by the time that James comes in with the last of the decorations. It’s also around that time that Harry is waking up from his nap and working his way to his parents, where James is all the more willing to lean down and scoop their son up.

The family spend the next while decorating their living room and some hallways of theirs, Regulus mostly giving James instruction and James doing whatever he says since they’re taller. Harry tries to help with some things and Regulus has to force himself to remember that he can readjust everything when Harry is distracted and elsewhere. 

By the time that James has swept Harry up to help them make dinner while Regulus adds the finishing touches, almost everything that’s intended for inside is put up. James distracts the young boy while Regulus finishes up with what he wants and fixes the things that were done messily by children’s hands. 

The little family settles down for dinner not long after and that’s finally when Harry’s jaw drops and his eyes widen, “Tree?” 

Regulus laughs, gently reaching to run his hand through the boy’s hair, “We’ll get a tree when it’s closer to Christmas, love.” Harry, although he pouts a bit, nods resolutely. James shares a fond look with Regulus over his head, and Regulus just rolls his eyes in return, a bright grin on his own face.

Who do you think was speaking in the voiceover in the preview for next week, Petty? I’m kiiinda leaning toward it being Non or New’s voice but there’s another option I might write a clown theory about later —@babyangelsky

@babyangelsky, I always love reporting this because I feel everyone knows it at this point, but . . .

I watch my shows on mute.

Which is why I never know what background noises are happening.

Therefore, I have no idea whose voice is in the preview because I assumed it was Top screaming since the sub was over him (even though I don't know why he would be the one to scream that statement).

Even if I watched the preview without mute, I wouldn't recognize the voices because I have had this show on mute since episode one. Screaming, crying, and singing = instant mute, which was the major vibe of the first episode. *Notice that only the Fucked-Up Five are in the shot!

If I had to guess though, I would say it's Tan saying that he will punish those who hurt Non because unlike Phi who lost focus and had a consensual university relationship with Jin,

Tan understood the revenge assignment, and since he was a good enough student to win a scholarship to study abroad in English and studied hard enough to duplicate a drug to make all these kids lose their minds in the woods, I doubt he would fail now. He very much exudes that unhinged energy only a perfectionist under immense pressure has after decades of being forced to be the golden child.

He gave up his education and dreams. His mom is dead. His dad told him he was no longer his son right before he died by suicide. His brother has been missing for three years, and his partner in crime is fucking up this group project by catching a case of feels as he eats another apple of sin!

But, once again, my very good student and the love of my life has sacrificed too much to see it all crumble in the final stretch. He will succeed, even if it kills him.

But first, he'll kill everyone else.
