Her closest non-bad kids relationships are: her dad - a werewolf former drug dealer who attacked her when they first met, her sister - a reformed villain and personal bully throughout childhood, and her wizard friend - who worked for the conspiracy in freshman year and was canonically a bully to her friend and other students.

My point is: Adaine sees everything by nature, including the best sides of the people around her. Not only does she see who people can be, she see it before they know or could even fathom it themselves. Maybe it’s because of how truly unseen she always was for her whole life. Either way, Adaine Abernant sees people.

i’m obviously watching the pjo disney series and let me remind you that chiron trusted annabeth with the geat prophecy about the big three when she was TEN. and when percy, a son of poseidon, came along, she loved him regardless of his fate as a weapon of olympus. without thalia, he could have been the first child of the big three to reach sixteen. so for the next years, annabeth loved someone who was likely to destroy the whole world, or save it with by simply making a dangerous choice, perhaps dying in the attempt. in the end, it was percy precisely, but there was no coming back: she had already fallen in love. [LANTERN RITE SPOILERS!!! Hu Tao rambles cause she’s my girl :D.]

KfAifosjIFJSIDJ WHAT THE FUCK I THOUGHT THIS WAS SUPPOSEF TO BE FESTIVE.

i know people are gonna be mad that this year wasn’t as festive, but i’m glad they actually focused on Hu Tao of all of the Liyue characters, because between all of the Liyue cast, Hu Tao is one of the most mischaracterised/done dirty by the fandom in terms of her character, so now she is FINALLY being given the chance to ACTUALLY SHOW that there’s more to her then shits and giggles and burying people.

Hu Tao actually has a lot to her. She’s blunt and honest about her feelings, she jokes about everything and acts like she doesn’t care for how other people, yet she’s also fully prepared to sacrifice herself if it means keeping the people of Liyue safe.

Hu Tao lost both of her only relatives (i think) due to the mistake of her father, which was directly his inability to do his job. She openly blames her father for it and gets mad at him, because she knows that he would’ve been proud to see his girl being so outspoken

She has her own issues, people talk behind her back, she deals with seeing people pass away all the time, but that doesn’t stop her from being happy with the people she’s met, with her job.

For all she likes to annoy people, she does a lot for Liyue. Making funeral arrangements for people, performing rituals, keeping watch on the beyond. She was ready to give up her life to cleanse the boarder of all the fetor to keep people safe

She purposely hid the fact she would have to die because she knew it’d make her feel even more attached. She quotes herself as the “lone butterfly”, she kmew that by the end she was going to die alone.

“Next lantern rite…if you a butterfly, that’s me coming back to see you” That line had me sobbing. She had fully accepted her death by then…

Ik people are gonna be mad she didn’t die but for once WE, THE TRAVELER, did SOMETHING to save her, so i think i’m happy

My girl knows how to react on her feet, she’s was making the plan and adjusting as needed, she bested basically everyone that was trying to get the crown, she’s that girl. And she works even terrified and that’s something that I love and appreciate so much!! She IS scared, all the time, since her parents were murdered, but she keeps going even when scared.
