But what if Ted announces that he’s leaving after the season is over, and during biscuits with the boss he asks Rebecca how she feels about it, and she says she’ll be fine and that he has to do what’s best for him, and she wants him to go so he can be with his son, and Ted looks a bit taken aback by the “I want you to go” and so he says “well, I appreciate ya boss” and leaves looking confused and then later he’s in his office, and Rebecca comes in and says “Ted I lied to you, I don’t want you to go, you mean too much to me and I’m not sure how to be without you” and she keeps talking until Ted pulls her into a hug and says “When you love someone, there ain’t nothing you can’t get through together” and Rebecca pulls back and they’re both crying and she whispers “love?“ and Ted just smiles softly at her and she returns it and then it cuts to a silent montage of them winning the whole fucking thing and everyone is jumping and cheering and it’s blurry all around except the camera is focused on Rebecca who’s making her way down to the pitch and as soon as Ted sees her he lights up and she wraps her arms around his neck and whispers “you won” and he nods and says “for us” and fade to black.
