#I kinda like the sketch of Sayaka

Day 0

Okay so I know the way I framed it makes it seem like I discovered this last second, but uhhh nah I found this months ago during I the making of the Music Video. So let’s tell a little story before I start getting weird with it.

So like. I couldn’t tell you what sent me down this path, but I was looking through a flashdrive with very old files on it, like, two or three whole laptops old. Actually probably only two. Anyway, on this old flashdrive I found a page of sketches from 2020. How do I know it was from 2020? It had villagers from my first island in Animal Crossing New Horizons on it. There was also a really rough looking sketch of what I can only assume was Mukuro and Sayaka. And in the bottom right corner, was this image. What might be the oldest piece of Junkan art I have, period. 

Okay that’s not technically accurate. I mentioned it offhandedly before but the first ever Junkan piece I drew was basically a joke. Because at the time the idea of Junkan being a healthy relationship was just a joke between me and my friends.

Four panels, and the joke is basically “Junko scraps her entire tragedy plan because Mikan’s hot and she wants to bang her.” I could easily find it, and I won’t act like I didn’t consider doing so to put it at the very bottom of this post purely for historical/archival purposes. But I kinda just get irrationally angry looking at it so I think I’m fine just, leaving it behind. And god knows it ain’t getting its own post.

So even if it’s not the true first junkan I ever drew, it’s the first one I drew where I gave a shit. That I can say for sure.

I wish I remembered drawing it though. 

Yeah i just, have no recollection of this. I don’t know why I drew it, what it is, anything. I have theories of course. My strongest one is that I read the first two chapters of Smile, and in my blacked out state of mine I drew this to get something out of my system? But that might not line up with the timeline. But I’ve no way of confirming what caused this to come into existence.

I have another theory unrelated to why it exists but for a certain aspect. I noticed as I was putting this together that Junko's got a Rabbit Clip in her hair (despite also having a bear clip but hey I wasn't exactly memorizing the designs by this point). That either means 2 things. I fucked up and didn't realize Junko doesn't wear the same outfit as disguised mukuro. Oooor, because I was so paranoid, and I'm pretty sure I sent this to at least a few friends at the time if not a slightly more public area (by my standards), I might have drawn it like that so worst case scenario I could write it off as Mukuro in Junko's outfit.

It kinda scared me at first when I looked at this? Like, this just exists and because of the time between now and when I allegedly drew this, there’s just this disconnect. Like, I don’t feel like I made this. I was so different back in 2020, I had less baggage, but also I kinda just felt isolated from a lot of people. I had like, 2 people I talked too pretty consistently, I had acquaintances but it wasn’t till later after my ex that I started actually talking to people more. 

Normally when I look at old art, it’s just that, looking at old art. But that’s because I can remember those pieces usually, this is something so old and obscure it couldn’t even become a memory, it’s uncanny. 

Now that I’ve had it sitting in my files that sense of unease is a lot less prominent. Now I can just look at it as old art like normal. 

I don’t really know what the point of this was? I guess I just wanted to provide one more treat, even if we jumped way down the scale of quality from Day 100. But hey it kind of being like, a relic makes up for it probably? I dunno. So this is the proper end of the project! It’s been nice! Even if I’ll see ya back for Junkan Week, and then way later The Month of Junkan, it definitely won’t feel the exact same. I’m gonna miss these daily posts, but I guess that’s why I’m gonna just have to make even more Junkan to keep it up! Though I don’t know if I’ll ramble as much as I did across these posts. Glad ya’ll liked em though! I always felt worried about being overboard with my commentary but it seems like that was just a bit more baseless paranoia on my part~

I introduce to you the first of my redesigns, Sayaka Maizono: The Ultimate Global Pop Sensation!

This design is for my Danganronpa rewrite: Bears from Hell!

Sayaka gave me a bit of trouble design-wise. she was the first one i sketched out so the first design i gave her ended up being scrapped, there wasnt anything in particular wrong with the design, it just felt to decorative for casual wear. Other than that the only issues were with coloring the top part of her dress.

Next up i talk about the plot and character changes so, Spoilers for THH.

Chapter 1 is mostly the same on Sayaka’s end, she befriends Makoto, gets sent spiraling by the motive tape, makes the plan to kill leon, gets killed, and writes 11037, or Leon, from her perspective.

One thing i changed was the wording of her talent, i’m planning to change up the titles for some of the other characters too, Sayaka’s was changed because i changed hopes peak to accept students globally and wanted that to show in her title. Another thing i wanted to change up was her role in the group, cause i want to assign most of these guys roles, these will be things they just naturally take up, and that everyone ends up accepting. Sayaka’s role is the assistant to the group leaders, this is based off of how she becomes Makoto’s “assistant”. Sayaka makes sure everyone’s motivated and understand what they need to do and what the game plan is.

Sayaka as a character has a big role to play, being a worldwide celebrity and all, so she tends to put on a mask to keep herself in that role. She is able to take a break and be herself around family but times at home are hard to find when on tour, now that shes in the killing game she misses those moments of freedom even more. Under the mask i feel like Sayaka is just a goofy teenage girl, she likes to crack jokes and goof around. Shes a person too, not matter how big the media talks about her!

Okay, Pre-Despair and Afterlife time!!!! Pre-Despair is what i use to refer to that one normal year they had before the tragedy by the way.

Pre-Despair i think that Sayaka most likely began to trust her classmates a lot, even considering them family, and at some point let her mask down. She and Leon are fun to play around with Pre-Despair, not sure if i want them as a couple or not but I like the idea of them being close and goofing around together. Her and the other girls gossip.

In the afterlife she ends up having a mild knife obsession, this is not fun for Leon. She has kinda given up on the mask and is making up for the time she lost wearing it, she pulls pranks, cracks jokes, and has a ton of fun. Shes will pick on some of the other ghosts though. Not much else i can say without going into an in-depth explanation of the after life in Bears from Hell or talking about the other characters though, so thats a wrap!

There were a few moments of sunlight left for Saitama when Kureha Koizumi received a knock on her apartment’s door. Opening the Kureha saw that there sitting in front of her door were two gifts. One was a bright red while the other was a dark blue. Bringing them inside Kureha closed the door and carried the gifts over to the living room where she sat down on her couch to open them starting with the red gift. 

Inside the red gift was a blue, silver, and black cake with roses, stars, and moons decorated all over it. Seeing there was a card along with the gifts Kureha picked it up and began to read.

“Awww, Kanra’s such a sweetheart and Lyall really knows how to impress with gifts, must be nice having money.” Kureha muttered the last part as she flipped through the journal and looked through the bag, she had placed the cake in her fridge after eating a piece and saving a few slices for Sayaka, Lola, and Yoshiko for when she sees them next time as Sayaka was spending the holiday with her significant others and Lola was taking Yoshiko for an Auntie-Niece girl’s trip, Kureha was absolutely fine with it, she knows that not every birthday could be spent with her team and she was glad that they were getting out and living for themselves instead of fussing over her, while she appreciated it, it was kinda suffocating at times, she had to remind the two that she was an adult for crying out loud.

Kureha shook her head as she placed the bag on a hanger in her closet and settled into bed with the journal, opening it to the very first page, she began to randomly and mindlessly sketch whatever she felt was coming to her during the moment, both her mind and body relaxing as she does the very thing she loves and enjoys doing no matter what identity she had, making and creating art.

Review Anon’s Powers and Abilities

So someone over on Despair to Future Arc asked what would happen if all the various sonas of the Mods and significant Anons got into a fight. And it was agreed that Review Anon would be on the tougher side to defeat due to her ghostly nature and powers making it tricky to get attacks on.

So I feel I need to explain what sort of abilities RA has, as I have thought long and hard what she would be packing since well since the rules for ghosts and spirits are different in various media you need to decide this. And this is gonna get long so under the cut it goes, hey you know me short descriptions are not my thing.

Intangibility: This a confusing one because while one thinks as a spirit RA is intangible, and she is shown to phase through walls, she did get shot by Nikei in 2023 ASOOT Hunger Games Aftermath. So what is going on? Well Review Anon is intangible and can phase through walls, it IS possible to hurt her if you either have supernatural abilities of your own and focus really hard. Remember Nikei has Divine Luck and he was pissed with RA so he was able to bypass the barrier, this is why Review Anon fled when he started shooting at her, and why you can’t beat RA to death since she’s already dead, she can get badly injured. This however doesn’t help much since most sonas don’t have magical powers.

Telekinesis: The most well known of RA’s abilities here, I mostly gave her this ability since I suck at drawing hands, plus poltergeists exists so spirits moving stuff isn’t out of the realm of possibility. But this is powerful Telekinesis as while normally used as n extra pair of hands, RA can pick up people with them and toss them around like a rag doll. She can also pick up and toss some really heavy objects as well. Basically her telekinesis is easily on par with say Silver the Hedgehog from the Sonic series. However since RA doesn’t like picking fights, she isn’t really used to toss more than clipboards at people. Just because she can do something doesn’t mean she has the experience to do so.

Hydrokinesis: Now this is an ability I haven’t really shown off yet but it’s there. I’m borrowing something from a Danganronpa fic a while back where the manner you died in gives you power over what killed you, so for example Celeste has pyrokinesis since she was burned to death, and Sayaka can use a knife since she was stabbed. And since RA drowned, she has power over water. Not gonna even sugarcoat it, it’s straight up waterbending like from Avatar the Last Airbender. And while other liquids can be manipulated, they need to have a similar component to water. So drinks can be manipulated but blood? Lava? Acid? Yeah no. However while this ability exists, you won’t for a while see it for one simple reason;

Review Anon has hydrophobia.

Unsurprisingly, her death has left her with a few traumas and phobias with hydrophobia being one of them. Now just to make it clear, drinks, running water and puddles don’t set her off because it’s too little to make any impact. But rain or anything that has more water than a paddling pool? She ain’t gonna like it one bit. Kinda ironic she can control something she is scared of, but that’s what character development is there for. Is it spoilers to say she gets better and gets over her hydrophobia? Kinda but again it’s gonna be panned out I’ve various sketches.

Besides that’s not the only phobia Review Anon has but the other one is a bit more of a character spoiler and way harder to overcome as it borders on PTSD for her. It’s just I don’t think it’s illogical to assume RA would be afraid of water given how she died.

Hammerspace: She has this and this is where her writing is kept on field. But she doesn’t carry weapons there so it’s mostly improvised stuff like clipboards and signposts. Can still hurt people but not gonna cause serious damage here as RA isn’t a violent person by nature so she doesn’t stick bombs in there or something. Well not at the moment. Certain events I have planned down the line might want RA to consider carrying protective measures but it’s early days so no.

And Review Anon’s final power

Possession: Now at first glance this is OP. Like all Review Anon would have to do to win is possess Aliza and then checkmate, right? But since I know possessing people could be a very Mary Sue ability if handled incorrectly, I have put various rules in place to make it fair.

Firstly it’s extremely obvious when she’s in someone’s body because their eyes become pitch black. Secondly, there’s the teething difficulties as since RA has been dead for a while, she’s forgotten about basic body functions. She can eat, drink and sleep but since those aren’t required, she tends to neglect them in favour of work. This becomes a problem when possessing a living person since she suddenly has to worry about those things incase she neglects them. And lastly and most importantly, if someone wants Review Anon out of their body they can easily kick her out. Meaning the only way Review Anon can stick inside someone’s body is if they are unconscious or they have mentally shut down. She can also stick inside an animal’s body since their lower cognitive skills means they can’t get her out their bodies but then comes the downsides of being in said animal.

So in terms of a fight RA would only be able to use whoever has fallen before her and if they’ve been mained then they are useless, plus RA might not know how they fight so she’s probably worse at fighting then they are.

So with all that said, do I think Review Anon would win this Mod/Anon showdown? Well not really and for one reason only; Aliza. While most of the Mods and Anons won’t have stuff to hit her, Aliza with her godly powers would be Review Anon’s worse matchup as she doesn’t have any defences against magic, while Review Anon won’t get knocked out immediately and she could give Aliza some trouble, due to the lack of experience in some of her abilities, plus simply put Aliza eclipses her she would knock out Review Anon in the end and win.

And then someone comfort that poor girl and find the bastard who put them up for this because Aliza would not handle doing this all that well. Especially if it was a Death Battle…

Random headcanons and hot takes

Here are just some random HCs that I can’t stop thinking about.

• Julius and Nicolas are fans of Eurovision. Julius really wanted Verka Serduchka to win and 2007 and he has never recovers since. Nicolas cheers for France no matter what.

• Okubo, Hatsumi, Rihito, and Adam don’t spread their ass cheeks and let the water run in between them in the shower. They probably have skid marks in their underwear.

• Adam is a FuCkiNg Republican (though he does believe in ACAB) but he probably owns a MAGA hat. He probably has one of those flags that says “come and take it”

• Agito has natural dark circles but he also wears eyeliner sometimes. Sayaka probably has helped him.

• Matsudo is a father figure to Agito. Ag views Retsudo and Sayaka as his siblings. They are probably the closest thing to a family he’s ever had. To a lot of the body guards they view Matsudo as a father.

• Hatsumi has probably had every STD/STI in the book. This man has probably got the clap so many times. Okubo and Rihito probably have safer sex, hatsumi has not.

• though hatsumi, Okubo, rihito, don’t even come near to Muteba. That man has to be engulfed.

• Muteba probably has a few illegitimate children. Though he probably doesn’t know they exist (that’s debatable) if he knew they existed he’d probably visit them from time to time and send them gifts.

• Mokichi is pro-life and a very stereotypical conservative Christian, he’s also a born again virgin.

• Okubo and Lihito make thirst traps on TikTok. They don’t have many followers or likes.

• Himuro makes thirst traps on Tiktok. He actually has a pretty big following. Many people thirst after him.

• Hatsumi Sen is a pot head.

• Jurota, Carlos, Hayami, Wakatsuki, and Sawada are intersectional feminists. They genuinely care about the rights of minorities.

• Okubo, Lihito, Himuro, and Hatsumi all say they are feminists but only to impress women. They don’t really care about women’s rights or the rights of minorities.

• Hayami Masaki is the kind of guy who keeps menstrual products in his car/home just in case any of his AFAB friends have an emergency and need them.

• if Hayami had an S/O who is AFAB he’d be super chill about going and getting them period products. This dude would go and get them their favorite food/candy just because.

• Haruo likes to take Sekibayashi to Gaming/Anime conventions. Seki doesn’t understand it and he tries to be interested, but he goes just to see Haruo (aka his Adopted son) happy and having a good time.

• Sekibayashi does view Haruo as his son. Seki has always wanted a family, and Haruo was abandoned by his adopted father. Seki was also abandoned by his parents, so that has fueled him to want be a good dad. Seki wants to be a good teacher, role model, and father to Haruo.

• Sawada and Yoshiko go to pride together every year. Yoshiko herself is Bisexual, Sawada is a Non-binary Homosexual. They both share their makeup with each other.

• Sawada watches Rupaul’s Drag race but HATES Rupaul. I can see him really liking Sasha Velour, Shangela, Shea Couleé, Trixie Mattel, and Katya.

• It’s canon that Koga’s hobby is collecting vintage clothing. He LOVES going thrifting and to antique malls for clothing. He’s probably likes to post his finds on Instagram, he also has a TikTok as well.

• Agito is very artistically talented. During his time as a biker babe he probably liked sketching some of the scenery he saw. Drawing wildlife is his favorite. He’s got a sketchbook that he keeps with him. If Agito had an S/O he’d probably draw them the most. He’d had a couple sketchbooks just filled with their face.

• Mokichi thinks of himself as the “cool” youth pastor. His ringtone is “our god is an awesome god”

• Edward Wu looks like the kinda guy to drive a keep

(To Leon, Sayaka Hifumi Kazuichi) I have been dealing with no self motivation to draw or really do any of things I really loved, I have also really lost my motive to eat anything really being scared of gaining weight thinking that people would judge me if I’m just a little overweight, I have also been very overwhelmed with School and homework could I get a hug?

This sounds like art block to me Anon, although it’s probably not the same kind of art block you’re experiencing. While I am an artist, also an alternative to singer, we go through blockage as well. Such as writing with lyrics, coming up with tunes, anything like that. But I’m not sure if this is something you are going through, however, I think you should try drawing again. It’s probably difficult for you right now but maybe you can find enjoyment in it again.

I know you’re scared of gaining weight and I can see why you would want to skip meals, but please know that you need to eat regularly Anon. There is never wrong with a little bit of weight, as long as you carefully monitor it and don’t go overboard. If people judge, that is their issue, not yours. Unfortunately, there are always going to be people that judge you for no reason and dislike you for the silliest reasons.

Being overwhelmed with school is awful and you most definitely can have a hug Anon, I’ll hold you in my arms for as long as you need, you’re doing so well powering through all of this and I hope that you can feel better soon.

Hmm...There are a couple ways you can raise your motivation, just don’t try to rush through this kind of thing. Start with something little, like simple sketches, to start getting back into drawing, and then go from there. Just try to do what made you like art in the first place!

Oh Mx. Anon, it’s okay to be a little overweight! If you really do feel the need to lose weight, choosing not to eat or starving yourself is an unhealthy way of doing so, there are safer ways to lose some weight! Take it from me, I’m going into music and when you go into anything like that you gotta be the coolest right!? But the thing is even if you are the coolest you’ll still gets a bunch of jealous asses that just wanna bring ya down!

So if there are people that even wanna bring down a confident guy you can at least know that they’ll just attack anyone they can. I don’t think there’s anything wrong if you ever were a few pounds overweight and anyone that finds a problem with that is just the same kinda lot that would bring down artists like Sayaka and me! Eating is important, I can’t stress it enough but if you can’t eat much something is still better than nothing, y’know? 

Just keep trying and you’ll get better and I’m sure that if we can help you get some motivation for art that you can always use it to vent or whatever it is that artists like you do! If I were you, I’d just focus on the things you like whether you have a lack of motivation or not. I know a lot of artists do warmup sketches and stuff kinda like the warm ups I used to do for practice and all before my games. I mean, when I showed up still that is. Just go ahead and use drawing as something to pass the time and don’t worry so much about the end result. Sometimes doing stuff mindlessly helps you get some good ideas and helps relieve stress! Pretty awesome, right!?

Warden Tabris sketches cause I’m taking a break from a portrait I’m doing rn.

Obvs, everyone has their own personal headcannons about their wardens. Though, this option doesn’t exist in game, I like to imagine my character as more akin to a spellsword-type class. I like to think of her fighting style of a mix of warrior and mage - warriors that can use their to mana to create weapons. She mostly uses one handed weapons alongside a spectral weapon, the catch being that members of this class have less destructive power than the typical staff using mage in return for a buffs on speed, constitution and willpower. The role of the spellsword is to be a more bulkier alternative while allowing a debuffed amount of magic. But, for headcannon purposes I’ve decided that my warden in particular uses Rivani magic. Since I am black woman myself, I want my warden to be black woman too and since Rivain has dark skinned population, i like to think Adaya (the canonical mother of tabris) was from there.

It gonna sound kinda odd but visually I imagine the fighting style looking like a cross between sayaka miki from madoka magica and Emily kaldwin from dishonoured 2 but with no teleportation and capped weapon sumoning. Maybe that’s a bit weeby for DA but I do what I want haha.

headcanons for a sayaka maizono (whos talent deals with spirits) that was dating shsl cosmetologist mukuro

uhh i hope these are ok mod kiibo normally does headcanons and ive kinda sleepy an’ other stuff,, i hope you like them !! - mod ouma

- ever since sayaka was little, they were enthralled by the supernatural. they would watch ghost hunting shows and play with ouija boards. once sayaka started dating mukuro, they started doing it together.

- mukuro can’t handle anything spooky. mukuro often takes to hiding behind sayaka. sayaka thinks its cute. mukuro would deny it ever happening. 

- sayaka and mukuro have a pact. if theyre able to ever touch a ghost, they are going to tie it down and put the most ridiculous cartoon makeup on it. sayaka already has a sketch of what the ghost would look like.

- when sayaka saids that theyre an esper, people don’t really question it. of course, it’s just intuition. their talent, though, doesn’t help the “sayaka can read our minds” rumor. (to combat this, hagakure takes to wearing a tinfoil hat. nobody has the heart to tell him tinfoil hats are for aliens and are useless). 

- when sayaka stays over with mukuro, they would often play in the makeup. they would do each others nails. but the best thing was the contests to stay awake and what happened after the first fell asleep. lets just say, once sayaka woke up looking they belonged in a circus. they did have one kiss mark on their cheek. 

- sayaka really likes telling mukuro of the things they learn from the spirits. there have been times where they texted all night about the things sayaka had done. sayaka really likes using the ghost emoji in these texts. 

- sayaka lives by the motto, “no one deserves to disappear.” so they often write down their experiences in a sort of memoir or journal. they write how they interacted with the spirits and drew out little doodles they thought were appropriate. 

- on sayaka and mukuro’s first date, they went to a graveyard in the middle of the night. needless to say, there almost wasn’t a second date. Almost. thankfully mukuro liked sayaka enough to give them another chance.

- mukuro insists on doing sayaka’s makeup whenever they go out on dates together. not because either of them are unattractive, because it calms them both down and makes them happy. 

- once when sayaka had to take the hope’s peak finale, they actually played a game of chess with a spirit via a ouija board. the spirit once, but sayaka swears it was because they were going easy on it.
