And he was.

He was more than proud of his girlfriend and loved seeing her on screen. He always watched her latest movies on the plane when she wasn’t around. But this was the first horror movie she’d made, and the idea of watching it terrified him. He had always struggled with that genre; his two brothers loved horror movies and insisted on watching them when they were kids, which led to Charles having countless sleepless nights.

He had tried to convince Max or Arthur to watch it before him and tell him if it was too scary, but neither of them had time. He searched for summaries on YouTube, but it was still too early for people to have summarized it.

The only thing left was to mentally prepare himself. Be very aware that it was all fiction and that nothing would come after him once the movie ended.

He arrived at his girlfriend’s apartment, greeting her with a kiss and a box of her favorite sweets along with a rose.

“Aw, thanks, Charlie,” she hugged him and gave him a longer kiss. “Come on, I’ve got everything ready to watch it.”

Y/N was truly excited, and it showed on her face. She was very proud of this project and eager to show it to her biggest supporter at last. Charles knew this and had done everything possible to stay calm. But then he saw the setup: Y/N had turned down all the lights, leaving only a few candles lit, and the movie was already on the TV. The poster showed her covered in blood with a terrified expression.

“Are you ready?” Y/N said, sitting on the couch. Charles followed suit, and she snuggled up against his chest.

“Of course,” he said immediately. “Why wouldn’t I be?”

Y/N looked at him with a little smile and kissed his cheek before pressing play. The first fifteen minutes were fine; they were introducing the plot and the characters. But then the tone of the movie started to darken, and Charles shifted nervously in his seat. Y/N noticed and intertwined her hand with Charles’, placing it on her chest.

Y/N realized how Charles flinched several times during the next few minutes, so she sat up and paused the movie.

“What’s wrong?” Charles asked instantly, completely confused though secretly relieved to have a moment to rest.

“Charles, you know I won’t be mad if you’re scared to watch the movie, right?” Y/N spoke with a sweet smile.

Charles pressed his lips together and looked down, just enough for Y/N to widen her smile and kiss him, cupping his cheeks with her hands. “I’m not scared,” he said in the middle of the kiss. Hazbin Hotel has given me a new ship. Ok hear me out. RadioApple or Alastor/Lucifer. If you bear with me I think I can even make this work within a canon context. Alastor in ep 7 was told he’s an ace in the hole (tho he had no idea what she meant) but Rosie which is the audience clue to him being asexual but that’s also a spectrum.

I think Alastor lacks interest in sex and love and relationships because he is a complex psychopath. He very much gives me Hannibal Lecter vibes. In particular NBC’s Hannibal Lecter. He sees everyone as beneath him. Pawns, food, or both. How could he ever feel something for others when he has no equal. People are just means to an end for him. A tool to aid him in gaining more power. He understands putting up a facade. But underneath is something much more sinister.

Now. Lucifer. Lucifer has the potential to be his equal in Alastor’s eyes. Lucifer has the power that Alastor wants. The freedom Alastor wants. That’s also why I think he provokes Lucifer so much as well, because Lucifer has all those things but he’s wasting it in Alastor’s eyes. But we (not Alastor unfortunately) see in episode 8 just how powerful Lucifer can be. If that was the Lucifer Alastor saw I think he could see him as an equal. Or it could lead to that path. Give it another season maybe.

And like Hannibal with Will develop feelings for Lucifer. Well as much as a complex psychopath cannibal turned demon could anyway. If all we have in canon is an offhand comment by a friend of Alastor, I think it’s fair to theorize he could be demisexual. And if he found someone who he could see as his equal, much like Hannibal did, he could have a kind of romantic (loving to the best of his ability) and possibly even sexual relationship.

(Tho it’s fiction, if people wanna still ship him with people and draw fanart, write fanfic, have all the headcanons, regardless of canon I think that’s totally fine as that’s what people do with fictional characters. Most ships I see don’t follow canon anyway. And the canon will always be there.)

I really love these two as a ship. Such enemies to lovers vibes. And the way they provoke each other is gold. I love that Alastor the only one who wasn’t Adam to have no fear or admiration of Lucifer. Also because he’s a cannibal I’m very amused by how much RadioApple shippers have decided Alastor bites.

A/N: Honestly, same here, anon. lol I think my own MC would find the whole situation exhausting mentally if not physically. There's a lot of valid reasons why any MC might not want to get caught up in this whole mess.

In a lighthearted vampire AU, the characters might feel that vampirism is more of a nuisance than anything else. Ultimately, I think they'd still try to prioritize MC's wishes and comfort over their own needs. It would motivate them to find an alternative solution for blood/feeding (especially if it were a long-term/permanent condition).

Man. I'm glad I have Bishop as a character, they were a character that I used to beat the shit out of myself for what I considered my "bad traits", a complete extreme of this side I didn't wanna touch even with a stick.

But then I did. And, it's just...wild? I guess, I never thought I would even come close to redeeming this character, or making him any more sympathetic than what I established as the base. And it ended up happening anyways.

Through out the writing of their character I put myself the rule of never, ever change his core of being...because I wanted to make them irredeemable, by them never wanting to truly change, they'll never be redeemed but, I was wrong.

Redeeming him wasn't about changing his core, about making him more human-like, making him love and feel like other people do, completely overhauling his way of thinking. It was just... accepting it, and that doesn't mean you're doomed to be a bad person and hurt people just because of how, what you are.

I still have a long way to go to fully accepting those parts of myself, as well as seeing it on other ppl, but this character has given me a perspective I honestly didn't even know I needed, or even know it was a possibility for me.

Which role do you want to try playing the most? Up until now I've only gotten roles that speak a lot. Sometimes the lines are 3-4 pages long. If I get the opportunity, I want to try switching to a role that speaks little, that is calm and serious and where the emphasis is on using eyes and gestures to convey emotions. A fantasy or sci-fi role like a vampire might be worth a try.

It's just strange when you want YOUR boundaries respected, but when people set their own boundaries, you mock them and call them silly. Hypocritical of you. As long as nobody is hurt, what is the problem.

I am not mocking somebody for saying I find an entirely separate concept (the “non-share yume” ) that, that on paper, sounds a little silly. At least to me, who doesn’t personally do that for one reason or another. But that is solely just on me? I’m not blaming anyone else for that. I’m sure somebody out there finds my boundary un-relatable. I do not think it’s fair to say that I’m being hypocritical for… not fully getting into somebody elses mindset.

And trust me, I think I’m hypocritical enough on a lot of completely unrelated things already.

Is it because I used the word “silly?” Was that being interpreted as mockery rather than just me going “ah, okay. i guess??” I never even said there was any problem either, nor that I hated anybody for it. I guess to be fair upon reflection, I could have just straight said “ah, okay. i guess” rather than “oh that’s silly.” Or not have answered at all. Even if my intent was more so just a passing shrug, I should have been more cautious that somebody could have read that as full dismissal/mockery/finger pointing.

I just personally just don’t get that level of attachment to fictional characters for one reason or another. I just have a disconnect. But if somebody else treats these things on a bit more of a personal level, they can do that, it’s fine? I’m not offended. I’m not sure how else to even articulate this via text that won’t come across as cold (as is that nature of text and no vocalizing).

You know when your bladder just can't hold in the piss and it has to empty itself under just about any circumstance? Well that was me right now, as I sauntered into HYBE. I took my aesthetic picture of the desserts as the employee who handed me the food smiled at me. Happiness is contagious, just like the plague and that is the best part about it. Trudging over to the BTS waiting room , I saw my favorite super squishy couch and sat on it, ready to eat my dessert and some bibimbap with pork belly I had made for lunch today.

I kept all my food on the table, having brought an abundant amount for the guys as well. They may like it, and if they didn't I had so many neighbors I could just distribute the food to. I dove into the bibimbap, moaning as the flavors hit my tastebuds. This is truly what I lived for, fatty oily sweet and savory rice loaded with greasy meat, spiced vegetables, and fried egg. Taehyung walked in, clearly surprised at what I had brought and my presence. "Hey Y/N , what are you doing here? Jungkook is in the recording room".

I smiled, "Oh, I didn't come for Jungkook necessarily. I was just going to give him papers that my lawyer drew up in case I saw him around the building. I actually just came here to eat and brought some food with me in case you guys wanted to try any. Made it all early this morning after my mommy pilates class". The rest of the guys filtered in, behooved to see Taehyung get along so well with Y/N. Jungkook walked in, sweaty and tired from recording his new track for a feature when he saw Y/n. His face contorted into disgust. What the hell was this girl doing here again? Wasn't setting up a child support plan after his unfortunately positive paternity test enough for her?

He loudly stomped in the room, slapping his doc martens against the ground. Y/N heard the noise and looked up to see him. "Hi JK, want to try some food? I just made it this morning. Took me two hours, but I wanted to bring a treat for all of you just in case. Was supposed to go on a picnic today with my boy toys but I thought I would feed you guys instead". on one hand, it’s not directly harming anyone since the character involved in it is a fictional character and doesnt have rights lol. but on the other hand, stuff like that can be used to groom and desensitise victims to those sorts of actions.

i think you’d have to ask a philosopher or psychiatrist and conduct studies on it tbh.

i think i generally fall into the category of Its Wrong but i don’t really have a moral argument more than ‘it grosses me out and makes me uncomfortable’ and i think thats worth exploring!

𓂃 ࣪˖ ♱ evangeline fox — evangeline fox might just be the most unrelatable fmc i’ve ever read, but it’s seriously okay. each novel’s mcs have their own traits and flaws, and eva’s is that she’s too optimistic and trusting. i do feel bad for her, tho.

𓂃 ࣪˖ ♱ jacks / the prince of hearts — now look, for someone who’s reading this after reading caraval, I’M IN LOVE ALL OVER AGAIN. my absolute fav kind of fictional characters are the cocky and sarcastic ones with a mysterious backstory, so jacks is perfect <33 everything about him screams ‘love me’ so 😋💓

𓂃 ࣪˖ ♱ evajacks — SPOILERS ‼️ : evajacks’ chemistry was almost non-existent in this book (except when he tried to bite her and turn into a vampire beep boop), but i’m hoping it gets much better in the next (though, i’m finding it hard to predict how that will happen considering what eva knows about jacks what she does 💀) i’m rooting for evajacks anyway because they’re now my caravalverse otp along with scarlian <3 : spoilers end <3 <

𓂃 ࣪˖ ♱ marisol tourmaline — marisol is such a classic high school white girl. see, i get that her mum said all that stuff to her face (which is so not how parenting works) which might have led her to want to be loved and cared for, BUT STILL. MARISOL. COME ON. she’s literally like ‘i want only what she has, because i just do.’ which is so wrong on a lot of levels. get yourself a bf without bewitching them, and i would have had 0 problems with you, marisol.

𓂃 ࣪˖ ♱ apollo acadian — apollo. mon dieu, this man. ik it was a curse, but oh god. my hopeless romantic heart beat for apollo’s dialogues when he was cursed in this book. he was borderline obsessed (but in a non-stalker way, guys) but STILL 😭 (can you tell I have issues? 💀) oh, to be loved like cursed apollo loved eva.

3033/Cross relationship headcanons (I hate them)

3033 constantly acts like he isn't in love when in fact he is more obsessed with Cross than Cross is with him. He is unsalvageable

33 enjoys the taste of every part of him (phagocyte things), his skin, his spit, even the things I will not speak of here

Another phagocyte thing is he constantly bites him as affection (and marking him)

Marking him is more of a jealousy thing but it doesn't matter anyways because Cross is so hard to hit on it's insane, you need to bother him 24/7 just to reach the possible love interest status, much less have him constantly bicker with you on sight

This causes big awkward moment at the T cell station: "uh Cross? Are those bite marks??" "NO, UH, MOSQUITOES, BAD ALLERGIC REACTION" (they do not believe his ass!!!)

They both have no experience on actually doing it, maybe they've read fiction or watched it at some point but none of them have ever gotten that far with a partner.

Cross has definitely read the worst BL out there tho, that is his only knowledge on it. The second they try anything 3033 is about to be hit with this fact.

3033 uses the honorific "-chan" on him, at first as disrespect (he's so small and unintimidating, no other honorific fits), but eventually turned to affectionate (he's so cute, I enjoy calling him this)

Cross(-chan) always says he hates it but in actuality he is obsessed with it, everyone else calls him Cross-kun so he feels it's special when 3033 alone refers to him as Cross-chan

When they first started dating Cross kept getting 3033 food, learning from his Squad Leader, the problem is that Squad Leader has an insane void as a partner, and therefore is the outlier. (3033 just kept handing 2145 his gifted food, although he feels bad he cannot actually finish it all)

I think Cross would lose his mind anytime 3033 decides to let down his hair. 3033 does it whenever he's bored just to see his reaction

Even when they're dating they call each other names and say they're annoying, it's just another part of their day <3 (they don't get physical with it at least) sometimes it gets to the point they yell at each other "YKNOW WHAT? IM BREAKING UP WITH YOU" and then go their separate ways before coming right back the next day saying "Okay do you want to visit this restaurant I found with me?" "Yeah ok"

I think Cross would genuinely be into 3033 constantly calling him names, 3033 calls him an idiot and stupid halfway through making out and Cross instantly gets redder than before.

On the flip side I don't think Cross can seriously call 3033 insults when they aren't actively bickering, maybe he's too busy looking at how pretty 3033 is, maybe he just likes him too much to say those words seriously to him.

The second 3033 realized he preferred watching Cross break down into a flustered mess rather than get mad at him over nothing was when the flirting began. Terrible for Cross' blood pressure but great for 3033's amusement 👍

Much to 3033's dismay, 2145 enjoys wingmanning for him. Cross asked 2145 what 3033's code was because they got so far into the relationship yet 3033 had never told him his code, and it would be embarrassing to ask him now.

3033 doesn't normally tell 2145 about how his relationship is going, but 2145 (probably influenced by Squad Leader's nosy behavior) will sometimes ask about it, he is curious

Cross literally tells everything Abt 3033 to Squad Leader, Squad Leader doesn't know what to say so he's just nodding half the time. It would be so in-character and funny tho if he saw bruises on Cross (hickeys) and thought maybe 3033 was bullying him and messages 2145 Abt it.

2145 confronts 3033 about "Maybe be less rough on him" and 3033 is just ""??? I told him he can tell me if it hurts?????????"

Cross uses emoticons (canon) and he uses them when he's texting 3033

"Good morning ｡⁠◕⁠‿⁠◕⁠｡" comes up on 3033's phone and his juniors are all thinking who is the person behind that message

3033 looks so menacing and grumpy at work and on the clock but in reality he's sooooo annoying and clingy. He has a reputation to keep up tho so he only does that at home. Aka with Cross.

Cross gets no time away from him at home, 3033 is burying his face into his chest, his hair, his back, doesn't even matter if he just came home from work.

Sometimes it's because he just wants to bother him, sometimes it's because he wants affection. Regardless Cross is not getting anywhere w his clingy ass.
