Small question, does it have to be Gotham for Cass? There's charas like Dick that can go establish their identity in a different city. Then there's Bruce, Steph, Jason and Duke who are so intrinsically tied to Gotham that this has to be the city for them. Where does Cass lie on this spectrum? Tq!
EXCELLENT question. I think Cass' situation is somewhat unique because of the way her character was handled post-Batgirl (2000).
In favour of Cass not staying in Gotham, she doesn't have the same emotional connection to Gotham as the four people you listed. She wasn't raised there, and in Batgirl (2000), she has next to no ties to Gotham civilians. In fact, it's when she moves to Bludhaven in Gabrych's run that she gains her first civilian friend and civilian love interest. The iconic volving panel is from Bludhaven, too. It's undeniable that the distance from Gotham, from Bruce (and arguably Babs), helps her grow:
Tumblr media
Batgirl (2000) #71
It can't be overstated how important ownership is to Cass. To own something means, necessarily, that you not an object. You are a person who something belongs to, and who belongs to something. By calling Bludhaven the "first place that's ever been... mine," she's explicitly saying that Gotham was not hers. Bludhaven was the first place that made her feel fully human.
But there are caveats to this. Cass goes to Bludhaven in the wake of Stephanie's death, a Gothamite through and through. It's probable that Steph's death colours her view of Gotham here, and her willingness to embrace Bludhaven is in response to the pain that Gotham now brings her. (This is also after Babs calls Cass stupid). Feeling like Gotham doesn't belong to her might stem from these specific circumstances, and not be applicable in current canon.
Still, if the story had ended there, I'd say Cass doesn't need to stay in Gotham. Unfortunately, it doesn't.
Tumblr media
Red Robin (2009) #17
After Bruce's death, Cass goes to Hong Kong. Well, 'goes' is putting it nicely. She was written off to make Steph Batgirl, which resulted in Cass a) not appearing in most comics, b) being stripped of the bat symbol, and c) being isolated from everyone she cares about, besides Tim. It's a horrific and undeserved fate, reversing everything Cass' story once stood for (narrative agency; becoming a hero; finding a family).
Though Cass regains the symbol and becomes the Bat of Hong Kong, she is no longer part of the narrative; her distance from Gotham became a representation of her distance from narrative importance. That's the real danger of Cass leaving Gotham - unlike Dick, who is a big enough character to be guaranteed solos in Blud, Cass leaving Gotham will forever hold the threat of erasure.
I'm discussing this in a meta-textual sense, but textually Cass knows the danger too.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Gates of Gotham #5
Here, Cass rebuffs Dick's assertion that Gotham will never keep either of them because they don't belong. She says, "It's about how you choose to see the world. Everything else is just an excuse." She's repudiating multiple things: editorial's decision to boot her from Gotham; Bruce's decision to take Batgirl away; even, somewhat, Dick's ascension to the Bat mantle when she wasn't given a chance.
This is ultimately why, though Cass could work elsewhere, I think she should work in Gotham. It's the place she ran to after David Cain, the place she chose to stay in, and the place that gave her Batgirl. Most importantly, it's the place that rejected her. It's not about Gotham itself - It's about how she was ejected from it, and how she fought her way back, over and over again. Cass staying in Gotham ensures history doesn't repeat itself. It rewards Cass fans who survived OYL, Batman Inc, and New 52 with the light at the end of the tunnel.
This is just my opinion! I do love her stint in Bludhaven, so I understand other people preferring her elsewhere. Just for me, she may not belong to Gotham in the way Bruce, Steph, Duke, Jay, or Babs does, but she deserves to be there.

hi res, I just finished asoh and I loved it soooo much, thanks so much for sharing your writing with us! I have a question tho lol, re: Clark's alpha fangs... I love that henry cavill (and tom welling as well) had these pointy canines so in my head it's canon that clark has them all the time as well lol, but I want to know if that's something you headcanon all alphas in a/b/o fics have, or is it a clark thing? or something just in this universe?
I just love them lol, I'm obsessed with Clark's fangs
Hi! Thank you so much for reading, I'm so glad you enjoyed!
I headcanon all alphas in this verse as having somewhat prominent fangs, though it's considered impolite to display them without a good reason. Clark has very sharp ones, maybe a little bigger since he's Kryptonian :) We see them poking out a little bit at the end of chapter 32, which is adorable.
Predictably, I like to mess with traditional a/b/o tropes, so the omegas and betas in this universe also have fangs, though they are slightly smaller. I imagine this is because of evolution -- the alphas needed bigger fangs for dominance fights and to, I don't know, rip the throat out of a competitor.
Bruce, for example, bites Lex to win what amounts to an omega dominance fight (and to pack bond him). I also hc that carriers might use tiny nips for raising pups, to keep them in line etc.
In general, I think it makes sense for most alphas in a/b/o fics to have fangs, though I understand the decision to forgo that trope. If you think about it, you need fangs to bite mating glands. You need mating glands to have scents. You need scents to communicate things like pack bonds, heats, and ruts. You need heats and ruts to differentiate a/b/o from normal biology...and so on. It all gets jumbled together.

Hi! Do you happen to have basic/simple/easy tutorials for editing comic panels to recommend?
i do not actually have one to refer you to, but i’m happy to write some things up! i’m assuming this is just for removing backgrounds and creating icons; if you want a how-to on the way i animate panels, that lives here.
i use photoshop cs6, but the same general principles should work in other editors. also, there are probably easier or faster ways to do the things i do. i like my methods and i’m comfortable with them, but i’d recommend experimenting to find what works best for you.
and... yeah! let's get into it.
step one: finding a panel
i save panels as i’m reading comics. they all live in one PSD file named “panels,” and i make a new one for each run. anything that seems pretty or thematically resonant gets copied and pasted in there. this way, i don’t have to dig through endless comic issues to find a specific image that stuck with me. i usually save the full page just so the edges are clean and everything is included.
let’s go with this page from birds of prey:
Tumblr media
step two: cropping
the way i crop the image depends on two things: what i’m hoping to make, and what the image looks like. here, i’m just doing a basic portrait, and helena is taller than she is wide. that makes it easy; let’s crop it so she takes up most of the frame.
Tumblr media
(my preferred ratios are 4x6 for smaller panel edits like this; for banners, i usually do 2x1, but if the framing works better as 3x2, I have done that, too. just feel it out. actual pixel sizes depend on the size of the original image.)
step three: removing the background
this part is, I think, the area with the most room for personal preference. we need to erase the background, and there are a LOT of tools to do this. each one varies depending on what the image itself looks like. there’s the magic selection tool, the eraser, or the lasso or magnetic selection tool.
(i don’t use the lasso or magnet because they’re evil, to me, but they work reasonably well when you have a character on a mostly solid background and art with thick, defined lines. i have no real advice other than that.)
here, we can mix and match some things. i’m going to start by using the magic selection tool to grab all the white or solid colors and remove them with the delete key, like so:
Tumblr media
surprise! gone.
after that, for the more finicky areas, i am a perfectionist and i go in and erase pixels using the eraser tool at 4-5px width. i start by outlining the character, like so:
Tumblr media
from there, you can use the lasso tool to select all of the remaining background and delete it. i usually hide the white background layer at this step, too. (i'm also going to color the smoke and the man in the foreground black and redraw the crossbow string with the paintbrush tool. this ain't about him.)
you should end up with something like this:
Tumblr media
step four: cleaning the linework
this part is mostly using the layer style stroke and the tool refine edge.
so, because of how selection tools and erasers work, there are a bunch of hidden pixels throughout the image you can’t really see. this drives me absolutely bonkers. at this point, i combine all the layers of the paint i've done so far -- everything except for the transparent background. select the layer with the character — Helena — and apply the layer style stroke, set to “outside” at 3px.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
those little black dots are what we're after. there aren't too many right now, because this was a fairly clean edit; sometimes, it looks scary and messy, but that’s okay. the layer style has just outlined all those invisible pixels. i go through and erase them — especially in tight places like corners. for example, this pesky area between strands of hair:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(before vs. after)
once you’ve erased all of those pixels and cleaned up the image, you can go back into the stroke layer style.
you’ve done a lot of erasing and feathering and cleaning up, so chances are, the line work is not nearly as crisp as it looked in the original panel. that’s fine! shift the settings to “inside” and 1px, like so:
Tumblr media
sometimes it’ll need to be 2-3 px, sometimes it’ll need to be center-aligned, and sometimes you might even decide it looks better outside or without the stroke style at all! this is all personal preference. do whatever you like.
once it's where you want it to be, i like to duplicate the layer -- to save the one without the new outline in case anything goes wonky. then right click the copy of the layer and "rasterize style" to get a flat image with new linework.
your workspace should look something like this:
Tumblr media
if it happens to feel like the edges are a little harsh — which happens sometimes! especially when using selection instead of eraser — you can select the whole image and use refine edge. this softens it. you don’t need to do much; i usually do 2-3px of feathering, a couple pixels of smoothing, and some contrast, depending on how it looks. see below:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
you'll have three layers now. it gets confusing, so try to keep track of which one is your active layer. you can delete old ones, if you want; i generally don't, just in case.
there isn’t a hard and fast rule for this part. do what you think looks good. and if you want to refine the edge before you add the new linework, that can work! do another stroke layer style after the first round! test things out and find out what you like. most of the time, it depends on the image and your preference.
after all that, this is the helena we now have:
Tumblr media
step five: creating a new background!
this part is easy. create a new layer, pick a color you like — i tend to pull from the actual background using an eye dropper tool, or if it’s for a multiple-part edit, I use the swatches i’ve decided on for the color scheme of the whole thing — and paint bucket that thing right on there. this is some of the blue that was behind her originally:
Tumblr media
i don’t like flat colors, pretty much ever, because they feel harsh to me. so i go back and add artistic touches and mess around with the filters a lot. sometimes i pull text or accents from other panels and follow the same steps as above to incorporate them into the edit; sometimes, i don’t. no rules just vibes.
in this case, i want it to be pretty simple. so i’ll make a new layer, then fill it in with a gradient tool. i usually make a custom gradient; one side is the color of the background and the other side is either black or white, depending on the vibe I want.
Tumblr media
i do an orbital gradient most of the time — circles are your friend — and focus the center on something that I want to draw the eye to. here, i’m going to do helena’s face.
Tumblr media
then i mess around with the opacity until it looks the way i want it to. like this:
Tumblr media
step six: final steps
congrats! you have an edited panel! you’re perfectly fine to post/share/use it at this point, but there are a couple other things i like to do to give it that final polish:
if you want to jazz up your edits, try messing around with outer glow, or drop shadow. both of those layer styles can add some emphasis to your focal point. (i prefer those be kept at a low opacity, when i use them, which isn’t often.)
i'd also recommend messing around with gradient maps if you want to superimpose a larger silhouette over the background. that would take more room than i have left in this already far too long guide, but it does add something to have it in there.
i dislike having text bubbles in my edits unless i specifically put them there, so i do have a process for removing them, much like the smoke or the man in the foreground. again, we are running long already, so i won't get into that here. my recommendation if you don't want to deal with entirely removing a bubble is to just paint over the text inside with white so you have an empty text box or speech bubble instead. it's simpler, quicker, and honestly the more common practice based on what i've seen.
that being said, if you want to know how i paint over them -- or how to do anything i didn't get into here -- feel free to ask. i don't mind writing these up.
i have a guide on how i size my images here, which walks through the exporting process. it’s not strictly necessary, but i like for my edits to remain consistent in size, so i do usually follow it.
Tumblr media
and that’s it! you’re now ready to edit comic panels to your heart’s content. happy cropping and so on, and thanks for asking me. <3

I’m kind of curious what’s your take on the whole Daenera situation?
Sigh. There is a part of this fandom(I’m looking at you Team Green) who straight up hates Daenera’s guts and view her as unnecessary to the narrative since it ruins the union of the two factions. I disagree with this….in part.
I think Daenera is needed due to house Velaryon was treated. The show has treated them deplorably, but even in the books, they get a pretty sh*tty hand dealt to them(they never rise to their former glory).
So Ser Vaemond having the last laugh from the afterlife by having his granddaughter become queen is a satisfying conclusion in my opinion.
No here is the part where I agree with Team Green. I don’t think Jaehaera should’ve died. I think GRRM should’ve kept what he started which is to have Jaehaera and Aegon unite Team Green and Team Black instead of having Daenera come into the picture as the mother of Aegon’s children.
This brings me to a character who I think is totally irrelevant(and stands in the way of House Velaryon getting the ultimate last laugh) Lara Rogare. She’s the one who should’ve died or not existed in the first place. She’s a rando. She does not connect with the Damces narrative (family against family) cause she's a rando.
Her relationship with Viserys is creepy as hell(her father held him hostage). She just has no real purpose in this story other than to pop out some kids and then abandon Viserys(I’m sorry to anyone who likes her, but pick a better character to like).
Daenaera should be Viserys Jaehaera. That’s a better story.
So Jaehaera lives. She and Aegon have babies. Lara dies before she can give Viserys any children. Daenaera marries Viserys. They have babies who will eventually inherit the throne. Ser Vaemond gets the last laugh. The Greens and the Blacks are united. The Dance has come full circle. Everyone is happy(sorta)🤷🏽‍♀️
I’m actually hoping that this is the one thing HOTD retcons. Lara really doesn’t need to exist(especially since the boys have been aged down). Just keep Jae and Aegon together and have Daenaera marry Viserys.

Do you think Baela was right saying Rhaenys died as she would have wanted to die?
I was talking to my mutual and frequent Rhaenys analysis collaborator @backjustforberena about this. So I'm going to give my opinion in the hopes that they do but also check them out because they've probably answered this.
I do belive she was right but I do think her overall point was wrong.
Rhaenys died, fighting for Rhaenyra and her throne, protecting her family and taking down one of their dragons. Her dragon died, and so did she. She knew she'd meet her end, and she did, so in the hope that she'd take Vhagar down or at least die trying. I don't think she thought she'd survive if she went back. I don't think it was a choice at all. It was simply a necessary attempt.
With that being said, Baela is 16 years old, and she's lost two maternal figures to dragons. I very much think her idealisation of wanting to go out the same way plays into the fact that she isn't coping well with the fact that she's lost someone else that way.
I think she idolised these women, and to see them gone that way led to her thinking that she should as well, to be like them. But it is wrong and a wrong way of thinking. We heard how Rhaenys talked about Laena dying. She would not want that for Baela.

hello it’s me again (anon who asked if this is a character analysis account, if the answer’s no then just ignore this ask)
ok so. I am absolutely desperate to read some hot takes on one specific Chuuya topic that I never see anyone posting about.
what are your (‘your’ plural, if there are different opinions among the mods) thoughts on Chuuya and his relationship with his own social class status?
He went from homeless to extremely wealthy in a very short span of time. How does he feel about that? Does he enjoy the luxuries of his new life or does he feel like a class traitor? A bit of both? neither?
I feel like I’ve posted this exact thought word for word on my own blog, so there isn’t much of a point of me being on anon. but whatever I still haven’t found any analyses on this in all the time since then
THIS IS SUCH AN INTERESTING TOPIC, ILY ANON
(Stormbringer spoilers ahead!)
I've always imagined that Chuuya would care about different parts of his new found luxury in different ways.
We see from the opening of Stormbringer that he has a large closet filled with expensive clothes, but there's no awe around it, he's so casual about getting dressed, despite how different his street clothes were from the things he now wears. He chooses a shirt at random and chucks on a pair of emerald cufflinks, like...sir????
We also know from this part that Chuuya doesn't care about money, but I do wonder if he cares about other things, other things that would be more difficult to find on the streets, for example; food, medicine, shelter, basic hygiene products, etc etc.
In general Chuuya's focus in Stormbringer is entirely on finding out about his past, so it's difficult to get a read on his approach to most things as he's laser-focused in on that one target.
I do think he feels a level of shame for ascending so quickly in class, just an extra splash of guilt on top of the betrayal of the Sheep that he was told was his own fault, but less so focusing on his higher class but the fact that he has more than the Sheep ever had, and yet they gave him more than he ever gave them (given that the Sheep never treated Chuuya's protection as something he was giving them but something they were owed).
I find Chuuya's outfits throughout the arcs as a possible exploration into his perspective of his newfound wealth.
Stormbringer Chuuya wears a plain black suit, no discerning features to make it him, he's lost in this world of silk ties and dress shoes, all he's ever known is the streets, and yet he's simultaneously unimpressed by it all. His appearance in Stormbringer also heavily resembles Verlaine, but that's a whole OTHER can of worms.
DHC Chuuya's outfit differs the most from the rest of the one's we see him wear whilst in the mafia; it's quite rough and tough compared to what he had worn just a few months ago, including his hair which is suspiciously short (unlike a certain SOMEONE previously mentioned). I believe DHC Chuuya is trying to regain some of his individuality, he's rejecting the rich clothes of the mafia and leaning back into his many-layered outfit of Fifteen.
Chuuya's outfit in the current canon show that he's embracing the riches he's found in the mafia. He's come to terms with it as a part of his identity, although he still wears the Hat (yet another Worm Can yet to be opened), as well as his many layers we see him donning in Fifteen (Seriously bro was wearing like three shirts, are you not sweating under all that????)
So, to summarise, I do think he feels some guilt at suddenly having so much more than he once had, he is initially uncaring for symbols of wealth but comes to appreciate them (and I think part of his rejection of the appearance of wealth could easily be because of the death of the Flags and Verlaine as well as his own issues with identity).

Hey, sorry that it seems that you had a hard time with the last ask! Quick question: you've said before in one of your posts that hel7l7 is just a character. Do you expect all of your asks to be genuine? Have you considered that any of your followers understands that you are playing a character, and are simply playing along? Or, are you attempting to deceive your followers? Simply put, are you being genuine?
Hi,
I think some people missed that I was lowkey satire in my reply to that last anon. I'm aware that it was probably sent to me as a hate message but I hoped that anon would see it and realise that it was a little bit of a weird thing to say to me.
Anyway, interesting question..!
Let me break this down ->
Do I expect all of my asks to be genuine? No. It's the internet. I know how this works. I don't expect everything to be genuine. Do I think it's ok that some people send me the weirdest shit? No. Would I like all my asks to be genuine? Yes. But I just know it's not realistic. I think that 90% of my asks are nice and genuine. I get a lot of compliments and nice messages that I don't always post. (But I do see them, so if you read this and you ever send me one, ily!) The other 10% are hate messages or weird, triggering stuff that I mostly delete immediately. My DMs are a different story. But luckily those aren't public...
Have you considered that any of your followers understands that you are playing a character, and are simply playing along? I'm not playing a character. I have mentioned in the past that hel7l7/Bear is some sort of alter ego. It felt like that for a long time. And I realise now that this might have made it sound like hel7l7/Bear are much different than who I am when I use my real name.
I'm Bear/hel7l7. It is not a character that's much different than who I am in real life. I have friends who have followed this account on my instagram and they never spoke about there being any big difference between me irl and me online.
What people do need to keep in mind is that this is social media. What you see here is a sliver of who I am in real life. My art is very raw and honest and that quickly turns into people thinking they know me. In that way you can see Bear/hel7l7 as that part of me. It is the part of me that posts online about my healing process, about my feelings, it is the part of me that is most present when I make vent art. When I make stuff for this creative diary sort of thing. It's not a made up character, it just is a part of me that I share online.
So if people think I'm playing a character, I hope this clears it up.
Or, are you attempting to deceive your followers? Simply put, are you being genuine?
I don't know why I would deceive my followers... What would the purpose of that be? I am being genuine. But I do think it is important that we continue to realize that the internet is a floating place outside of “real life”. I am sincere within the context of the internet. But I also try to protect my own peace of mind by occasionally choosing not to respond to everything.
I don't owe my followers anything. I do my best to respond to messages. And when I do it will always be with genuine intentions. Everything I do for this account is done with love and joy for the work I create and do. I am extremely grateful for what I have built up over the years and for the people who support me.
The downside is that this involves a group of people who think they know me even though they have never actually met me. I sometimes have difficulty with the para-social aspect of having this account. In those moments I am no less sincere, but sometimes I have to protect my peace a little.
I hope this has provided some clarification.

What do you think of style angst, bro? a part of me wants them to have their bromance and the other wants them to never be happy and hate each other forever. *sweats and grips page tighter* I also have a completely unrelated outburst of motivation.. (Also sorry I keep sending asks, dawg)
I'll admit, I don't really like the fandom categorization of fluff, angst, domestic, etc. I understand it's helpful when organizing fics so that certain tropes are easy to find, but outside of the organization, to me, it feels like a crude oversimplification of human experience. I like style angst in that I like stories with conflict and feelings. I like style fluff in that I like the tenderness and imperfection of human interaction. However, I think these things need to be duly balanced to create a fluid and compelling story.

Random creativity question, but do you take notes of your ideas for art & comics and stuff then look at them when you want to draw? Or do you sit down and draw whatever comes to your mind at that moment?
this is what I do lol
sometimes during the day I’ll have a random art idea say I wanna draw that in my head or out my mouth, forget about it the second route is if I don’t forgot about it I don’t have the skills to do it so I won’t even attempt it.
But it’s mostly on the money I sit down and draw and whatever happens happens, there’s never a set I’m going to draw this today cause I hate schedules like roaches I don’t wanna be confined to you absolutely have to do this today when the freedom of draw what you want whenever you want feels so better to me if that makes sense.
I do have things I want to draw or characters I want to draw I just can’t tell you what the picture is gonna look like, even after I sit down and start whatever is about to happen is just gonna happen I might go to draw a picture and the words for a comic will come into my head from that one thing I was drawing or about to draw and then I just switch to comic mode
I have so many tabs open on my computer in the art program and on the internet so I don’t forget but I always end up forgetting I’m very forgetful but again not gonna write it down bc that is being held within something and I don’t like being held inside a statement
I’m the kind of person who if I have something I want to do you tell me to do something or you have something planned that includes me everything I do is dropped until I do that thing that was planned for me and I’m not allowed to do anything else which ruins all my plans but it be like that for me
this is rambling Im sorry
there are a few things I do want to draw tho
I want to draw Honey the cat but I haven’t gotten around to it
I want to draw Quickman over a don’t hug me I, scared meme I saw
I want to draw some of the my hero academia characters in some outfits I saw on Pinterest
sometimes when there are things like that I’ll get it ready so when I have time to sit down and draw I can just start like I took the outfits and put it in my art program already so when I go to draw I can just start as well as the quickman thing I saved the picture in my drafts so I know it’s there but I might Inevitably forget

Considering the thematic emphasis on ephemerality in Boston and Nick's relationship, do you think this might reflect a broader commentary on the nature of relationships in the show? Like I've been wondering what it really says about love and understanding, for everyone.
I think it definitely does! Ephemerality as a theme is so special to BostonNick because it shows how even fleeting relationships have the power to make lasting impacts. Many people associate a couple's "happy ending" with them being together, but I think BN could reveal that this isn't always the case; they can go their separate ways in the end and still learn valuable lessons that they carry with them into their future relationships. For Nick, that is both the power and dangers of his own commitment. For Boston, it is the understanding that he does not need to run from emotional commitments—that he should embrace those connections and seek out those who value him for him. It doesn’t mean his lifestyle before this is inherently wrong; I don’t think that’s the statement the writers are trying to make at all. Rather, Boston’s storyline seems to suggest that he’s lacking fulfillment. He wants something more, but he hasn’t been sure how or if he can get it, so he reverts to a “casual relationships are more fun/less dramatic” mentality. In some ways this perspective even seems like a protective measure.
In the context of the other couples, I think ephemerality still plays a role, albeit to a lesser extent. It also has very personal implications for the characters individually, not just together. For Top, relationships are also preferably ephemeral, though not to the same extent as Boston. That’s a notable contrast with Mew, who has no interest in a relationship that doesn’t last. Neither perspective is necessarily wrong or morally superior to the other, though it’s often portrayed that way.
For SandRay, I don’t think there’s such an acute contrast where ephemerality is concerned. Their relationship was perhaps always intended as ephemeral—at least their sexual one—but what was transient quickly became long-term. Love and understanding was never meant to develop, but the fact that it did evolve unintentionally shows the power of that connection despite any attempts to stop or deny it.
I think there are a lot of other avenues this idea of ephemerality can go, but the way it applies to the nature of relationships is a good reflection of how these characters have had their perspective changed over the course of the series. For all couples, I think it’s fair to say that what they expected to only be ephemeral ended up lasting longer and meaning more than they imagined.

I don’t know if this is a stupid question or not but I see that you haven’t written for Peter maximoff. Do you still write/fixate on him? I can’t always tell if someone is going on or off on something. I didn’t really know how to word this. I hope you have a wonderful day/night
Hi! Sorry I’m getting to this so late I’ve been super mega busy recently. I haven’t written for Peter in forever but would love to write for him some more. Unfortunately for everyone who followed me for other characters I write for the Eddie Munson brain rot was bad for a long time and then I lost motivation to write bc of depression. And now that I do have motivation to write I have no time.

What was it like being born in the 20th century?
I think it was a good thing I didn’t really have unsupervised Internet till high school. Shooting at pigeons with my BB gun was fun.
I was in 6th grade for 9/11. My Dad got sick after covering the anthrax scares/attacks right after, and that was the scariest part for me. A year or so later a student had moved from NY.
Texting had just become a thing when I was in high school along with camera phones.
I think smartphones should have stopped at camera, music player, calendar, phone.
I miss how easy it used to be to fix things.
I wasn’t really sure how to answer this. I didn’t want it to become a “things were better back then” post.
If I had to give any advice it would be to learn how to make or fix things yourself. A lot of it is easier than it seems and you can get a lot done with a handful of cheap/hand-me-down tools. Learn how the different parts of a system relate to each other and how the system works as a whole. You can do this with a toaster or a political system.
Life is about relationships. Your car won’t start if the ignition switch can’t send a signal to the spark plugs and your friend group will splinter if people stop talking to each other.

Hey no pressure to respond but i saw your lqr post and him asking questions to humble wwx.
Could you also clarify the punishment for me please? I am lost between different adaptations and metas. So when wwx was punished for drinking, did nhs and jc receive less number of paddle hits because they were heirs or was wwx given more because he confessed to get lwj drunk. I mean is there any dialogue/thought in book which rationalises who will get how many paddle hits for which offence?
I’m assuming by “punishment” you mean when Wei Wuxian gets beat during the Cloud Recesses arc, right?
Wei Wuxian wasn’t punished for drinking; he was punished for breaking curfew and being outside of the boundary of the Cloud Recesses, thereby breaking the rules. He was caught by Lan Wangji and thought that he could get out of punishment if he dragged the other boy out of the boundary with him, but the next morning, Lan Wangji showed up to have them both punished. Lan Wangji was given 50 more strikes than Wei Wuxian.
Afterwards while Jiang Cheng is carrying Wei Wuxian amidst the crowd of other disciples as the latter explains why he got punished, Lan Xichen sees them and asks why he got punished. Jiang Cheng doesn’t answer straight because he knows that in order to explain Wei Wuxian’s punishment, he’d also have to reveal that he and the other disciples were the ones who set Wei Wuxian up to break curfew to buy them alcohol, and therefore they should also be punished for breaking the rules as is fair.
Nobody except for Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji got punished.

(Sorry for inaccurate English I am from Russian)
Angel and husk do you two think your relationship will last for long time? I’ve scanned through your asks and think about 2 months to stay
Husk: If you’re asking if we’ve been together for two months, that’s inaccurate. The babies are about that old but Lucifer explained that angelic babies are slow growers. Seven years in Earth is one year for an Angel/Demon. Time is a bit wonky down here for us. And anyways. Angel and I have been together for about a year before the babies were born.
Angel Dust: And we plan on staying together happily!
