discussing the taeil situation

As I’m sure many of you have seen that Taeil was removed/left NCT due to Sexual Offense Allegations.

“On August 29, the Seoul Bangbae Police Station revealed that the police booked Taeil after a report was filed in June for alleged sexual offense.

According to the police, Taeil is being investigated after being reported by legal adult woman “A.”

First off I’d like to say that obviously Im absolutely disgusted with Taeil and this entire thing makes me feel sick. I know they won’t see this but my thoughts are with those effected by this and I’m glad she had the courage to speak out and I hope she gets the support and justice that she wants during this time.

Now I’d like to talk about what has been weighing on me personally about this situation? I tend to stay off of twitter but I’ve seen a lot of links and post being circulated in the last 24 hours about this and it’s been really killing me.

As of now the police have booked Taeil back in June and he is being investigated by police for sexual offense, currently that’s all of the information that’s been confirmed by authorities. (I linked the article above and that has a link to the Naver article too.)

I’m sure some of you guys may be younger and haven’t truly grasped the full gravity of this, but misinformation can really damage cases like this especially as a woman.

Unfortunately the internet spread fake news fast and screenshots and stories have been circulating on twt/tiktok social media in general being translated and mistranslated from numerous different languages and people are just adding to the narrative for the drama it seems like… (please understand that even if something is in a different language and “translated” it does not make it facts.) I’ve seen others ask people where the source was for the information they got and then get called “Taeil defenders” when they just wanted to know where the information came from in the first place. I also read comments where people were saying that it didn’t matter if it was misinformation?

This is someone’s life we are talking about and seeing people say “they can’t wait for certain youtube channels to make videos about this because they need all of the details” or “they’ve been searching for more information all day and have come up with etc etc.” is really disheartening to see it be made into a spectacle. There’s only been one statement from the police as I’m aware of and in under 24 hours twt has finalized and circulated a story that has no source.

Unfortunately this stuff will happen because it’s the internet regardless and people are curious and in shock so wanting details on something is understandable but please understand that this is someone’s life not just backlash and justice against Taeil.

Speaking out isn’t easy and speaking out against a celebrity under big company? I can’t imagine, so please please please think about what you are posting and reposting. It’s not you supporting the victim, it’s just spreading gossip, theories/speculations, and can really tamper with the case guys. This is already a traumatizing experience and now it’s public and people are prying to know details about something so horrible and invasive??? At the end of the day if no statements are released about details or information and you are upset please take a step back and really think what for.

With this Ive seen a lot of people talk about parasocial relationships, how you don’t know these men, all men are men at the end of the day, don’t trust your favs etc etc. Though I definitely agree with you don’t know the people you like at the end of the day, I think that everyone knows that to some extent. However I don’t think parasocial relationship or not knowing someone is to blame when this kind of stuff happens, rather it’s normal to believe that someone you admire/like is cool person especially if portrayed that way. The thing about abusers/assaulters is that they can be anyone, that’s not to say that you shouldn’t trust anyone and that all people/idols are secretly awful but it’s more about that it’s not anyone’s fault for believing that they were a good person. So if anyone is going through that “ I can’t believe I liked someone like that” feeling that’s okay. It’s not your fault and you’re allowed to work through them.

I hope I don't get bashed for this, but there’s something I have to say in regard to the whole Zuko and Katara being unable to be a couple because of the oppression Zuko’s family and nation had on the rest of the other nations.

Everyone knows that what the Fire Nation and the royal family did to the other nations was fucking terrible. No arguments there. But what the hell was the point of Zuko’s redemption arc if people will immediately antagonize him and make him the grand villain once he’s mentioned romantically with Katara?

If Zuko can’t be together with Katara as a couple then how can they be friends? How can Sokka, Suki, Toph, and Aang be friends with Zuko?

Because all of the GAang except Zuko have had their nations severely affected by the Fire nation, and yet no one blinks an eye when everyone is friends with Zuko, but Katara , who after development is built between the two and then forgives him genuinely, is paired up with him and then somehow it’s completely wrong?

Zuko with anyone from the GAang has a connection of trust, not just Katara. So why bash a relationship that has already cleared up its misunderstandings?

I don’t understand, please explain.

I also didn't understand this change of actors for laena and laenor, they were played by 3 different versions, and this change does not make sense with the other actors who remain the same ( ????)

It doesn’t make much sense, but if I had to guess why they did this(especially in Laena’s case) it was because they didn't want you to see a young girl lightening herself on fire and then in the next episode you see a grown woman throwing herself at her husband at her funeral. Ditto for Laenor’s actor. The optics just make Rhaenyra look bad.

i’m pretty sure it’s just because of her arc in the books, which is about having a genuine love with john and then feeling guilty about falling for michael(a) because she adored john and feels like she’s doing something wrong by loving his cousin.

ah gotcha!! i definitely do want to read the bridgerton books, so i’ll have to check them out! i do think that so Far on the show they have portrayed her love for john in a very platonic way, but that could definitely change! regardless i am sooooooo interested to see what they do with her next season👀

Codz aftermath au

The crew didn’t die. No, they survive and they get to live peacefully after it. So here 1/? of the au.

Tank and Takeo in my aftermath au :3 (Mostly Ultimis as they’re older, but I speculate Primis as well/ btw, Tank’s hair colour is more of brownish blonde, just saying)

Of course, historical accuracy is one thing so here are a few:

They kept their relationship a secret from majority of the neighbourhood, only a few trustworthy neighbours know about it. This au is around 1948, so it still the time where being homosexual is like, a bad thing? And it was like, 3 years after the war, racism is still very common. As such, they tried to be peaceful and civil in this neighbourhood.

I’m also thinking about drawing Nikolai and Richtofen’ au, but I got tired. I hesitated on posting it first. But now I did, I feel a little relieve.

I don’t think it’s fare to say that having sex with a strap is “sad”. Sure, some people can’t come that way and there are other parts of lesbian sex but the strap can also be another important part. Just like the people who like to use a vibe during!!

i never said that having sex with a strap in general is sad, only when lesbians/wlw feel like it’s the only way to have sex or the “right way”. it differs between relationships (just like all intimate things) whether or not a strap is an important part to sexual satisfaction and like i said it can be fun! what is not fun is seeing people hate on beautiful parts of loving women which is mainly what i was talking about.

I was thinking more in the BioShock au and I made a break.

The version of rapture in this au would be a "Heaven" of sorts, a place built for peace, purity, and beauty. People believed they were angels while they were there but turned into nothing more then the very Sinners the despised with the introduction of ADAM and EVE.

When Sam find himself in 'Heaven', he is commonly referred to as an 'Angel' not just because of looks or his choice of not hurting the little siblings.

Still working on it but this is what I got.

I really like the name for the au, it’s a much better name then what I originally thought of.

Though, I feel like the only people that would call him an angel would be for completely different reasons.

Tim and Tom’s reason is they’ve been around the little ones for a very long time, so calling the dead residents ‘Angels’ is kind of a habit. Even though Sam is alive and well, Tom still calls him an ‘Angel’ as a habit.

Benny’s reason would probably be because he’s read the bible and sees Sam as a type of saviour ascended from above.

Those are the only reasons I’ve thought of. But other then that he could be commonly referred to as an ‘Angel’ for completely different reasons, depending on the person.

JR worked on that script for about a year along with the Isak n Jiyeon episode we released last year. I showed her what you wrote and she hadn't run into that info -- let alone sources.

We always want to give the correct info, and we add corrections when we get stuff wrong. If you're willing and able, do you mind sending us sources for info we got wrong or missed? We can read Korean and a bit of Mandarin, so don't worry about finding something in English.

Summary: Megumi needs help after committing a crime.

“Papa…” Megumi looks at his father with glossy eyes, ready to shed a tear at any moment. It’s very rare for Megumi to seek his father for help, so Toji is willing to drop anything to tend to the child. Toji gets off the couch and crouches down to be at Megumi’s level.

“What is it?” Toji asks, ready to fight just about anyone. Whoever did something to his son is going to pay, one way or another.

“I broke mama’s vase.” Megumi is nearly sniffling as he confesses to his grave crime. Something that’s barely a crime, Toji hated that hideous vase anyway (he still loves you, even with your bad taste in furniture). However, Toji is confused why Megumi comes to him to confess.

“Alright… Do you need me to tell her?” Toji responds, and Megumi shakes his little head frantically. “Then what?”

“I need help cleaning it up.” Megumi responds, and Toji begins to look around. Is there any police nearby? The little guy must be wired up. Toji lifts up Megumi’s paw patrol shirt and checks to see if there’s a microphone taped to him. You’re trying to catch him committing a crime… But when he realizes Megumi is being genuine, Toji sighs.

“Let’s get the broom.” Toji says, a frown on his face as he thinks about why Megumi ran to him and not to you. You’re usually so sweet and comforting, why would the child seek out Toji of all people? 

Megumi follows behind like a little duckling, hoping to be of help to his father. Toji grabs the broom, and before he heads over to the mess that Megumi made, Toji can’t help but ask, “Why didn’t you ask mom to help?”

“She’s scary.” Megumi doesn’t hesitate before answering, and Toji’s eyes widen. Did Megumi seriously just say that?

“Your mom is scary, so you come to me for help?” Toji sounds offended– Because he is. Megumi nods in response, and Toji bites down his tongue. He won’t scare the child, there has to be one parent that Megumi can tell everything to. Somehow, someway, Toji ended up with the role. 

“You know what?” Toji begins as he sees the mess that Megumi made. He can’t blame the little guy, “I’m scared of your mom too.”

nanami kento, who hates dating, and didn’t do much of it in his early twenties. but now, he’s almost thirty, watching all the people he works with settle down, have kids, and he thinks he wants that. so he might as well try.

so satoru sets him up on a few dates — friends of friends, he calls them. and at the end of every one of the dinners, kento goes home empty, exhausted, because he knows what they want is not the same.

still; he thinks maybe he’s being a little self-destructive, maybe too picky, maybe he just got so used to being alone. with satoru’s insistence, he gives all the women another call, invites them over to his apartment.

the first time was a disaster… kento had barely set the dinner on the table before his cat had hissed at her, scratched her down the arm in a thin gash. and though it did draw blood, it was hardly enough to warrant that reaction.

he didn’t even try to stop her as she picked up her bag and left, huffing like she’d been morally offend. kento, though, could only smile to himself in amusement.

because maybe kento was a poor judge of character, a man who was secretly hoping nothing would pan out — but his cat could certainly tell the good from the bad.

it became a little game to him, after that. seeing if anyone could win his pet over, and if they could, perhaps they were the one. his darling animal was a fickle thing anyway. a bit too defensive, quick to bite anything threatening after years on the streets.

naturally, no one came back twice.

he was close to giving up, accepting his solitude because he was tired of empty conversations over dinner. but then, he ventured out over the weekend to a new coffee shop, during hours he normally didn’t spend out of his home, and met you.

though you only talked for a moment, kento felt like maybe he’d known you in a past life. a part of him thought maybe it was strange, the way he kept coming back to talk to you, catching you at the end of your shift to see if you wanted to grab a coffee sometime.

by the second date, kento started to think you could turn out to be his best friend.

by the third date, kento wondered if soulmates were real.

on the fourth date, almost two months later, an appropriate time to get to know someone when you were as reserved as kento, he invited you over for dinner. it was, perhaps, the final confirmation he needed to let himself be with you.

he let you through the door, smiling softly as you told him about the book you were reading, and hung his coat on the rack. a moment later, you stopped, distracted, hands covering your mouth in a gasp.

“kento! she’s the cutest cat i’ve ever seen, you didn’t even show me pictures!” you exclaim, and, a few feet away, crouched down. “look at her pretty eyes…”

“careful,” kento said, “she’s not very—“

but the cat approached your outstretched hand, sniffed once, before letting you scratch her under her chin, purring loud enough for kento to hear across the room.

“shes such a sweetheart, you told me she was mean!” you smiled, making a cooing noise as you threaded your fingers through her fur. “kento’s a liar, isn’t he… you’re so precious.”

a few moments later, she snapped her jaw at you in a biting motion, and you only laughed, withdrawing your hand. “alright, i get it, i won’t bother you anymore.”

though she still brushed against your legs, just as she did kento’s, and seemed to communicate some sort of message to him.

“do you want any help cooking?” you ask, tucking your hair behind your ears. “i’m a disaster in the kitchen, but—“

“sure,” kento said, his chest tightening as he blinked back at you, only in his apartment for minutes and already looking as at home there. he wondered if it was possible to fall in love so quickly. “but only if you want to.”
