So my partner is pretty much the biggest fan there is of Witch Vamp joggers & literally lives in them 24/7 (his current favorite seems to be @vetiverfox 's Black Velvet, the runners up being Apathy and EVIL [fan art, not for sale. somehow I don't think I've ever posted them on Tumblr???]) and anyway, he's suddenly decided to come out of artistic retirement and try his hand at designing a pair 🤩 It'll be for the fall collection! I'm soooo excited to see how it turns out!!

Your art is so well done!! You’re so skilled!!! How did you learn how to draw poses and anatomy in your comics like that?

Thank you so much! The answer really is references references references. I tend to look at stock photos because they are usually over-exaggerated and have more personality, and for action poses I recommend sports photos! Sport photography is great for seeing the body in full momentum, which gives drawings a sense of fluidity. Last but not least, the most overused but truest advice: Practice. You will find that the more you practice with reference, the more you will get an internal sense of how the body should look, allowing you to draw people without reference! 

But don’t take this as gospel. This is just what has helped me along my art journey. I am still learning anatomy myself and still improving!

As Obi-Wan looks himself over in the mirror, the surface level changes pale in comparison to the gold of his eyes. He tugs down the stark white robes and wraps a jet black belt around his waist, clips his saber to it. Golden eyes meet brown in the mirror as he leans back into his lover’s touch. "No," he says simply, a smile on his lips. "It reminds me that I have you."

This one is an old idea that will finally become a coherent story for Niecest weekend <3

Both Nies grow apart and get turned into a vampire and a werewolf as a way of saving their lives, but they take those changes very differently. They only learn about each other's transformation after a few years and try to navigate that as well as their relationship (which may seem less complicated now that they're no longer human)

Now a little snippet:

Nie Mingjue shifted on his seat again. He was starting to think it was all a very bad idea. The night was cold, and that would hopefully keep people from wondering about his hands. The warm lights of the restaurant could also help with his complexion, or so he hoped. He hadn’t fed, couldn't bring himself to do it, and it made everything harder to conceal.

He chose the outdoor seats despite the weather, so he could see Huaisang when he approached the place, and then they could decide whether to go inside or not. Huaisang didn’t do well in cold weather, but they haven’t seen each other in five years and Mingjue thought it would be better if he could talk to him outside first, where there weren’t many people around.

It wouldn’t be good to risk people seeing his damned bloody tears.

He pretended to drink from a glass of wine when a familiar figure appeared on the other side of the street, and all the doubt about recognizing his didi went away as he watched the smaller man waiting for the traffic light to turn red.

Mingjue waved and Huaisang smiled. He wasn’t buried in as many clothes as he used to, but Mingjue didn’t really know where his brother had been the past few years and he supposed he could have moved somewhere colder.

But as the younger Nie got closer, the sweet smile on his face faltered and his nose did something strange. 

He couldn’t know. 

Nobody did, not even the people in his building had suspicions about Nie Mingjue’s condition. There was no way Huaisang noticed something this far away from him.
