One detail that I haven't seen people talking about in regards to the new Neil Gaiman article is the fact that he was actively raping a gay woman while filming Good Omens season 2, you know the season with the lesbian story arc! I can't stop thinking about it, as a lesbian myself, I'm speechless: the cognitive dissonance, the hypocrisy, the virtue signaling, what a disgusting piece of shit

Something that has been driving me insane about the credits are these sections with the fish so please bear with me whilst I do a mini deep dive (hehe) into fish discourse because YO, we need to talk about these fish!

Notice how at the beginning of the credits we actually have two white fish swimming along beside one another; one with bright turquoise eyes and the other with black.

A little while later the fish begin to circle each other and a droplet falls into the water between them. As the disturbance ripples out from the center, one of the fish dives deeper into the water and changes its colour to black; symbolizing Geto's change and descent into darkness

Then we have this heartbreakingly beautiful moment with Gojo and Geto:

I cannot stop thinking about how long Gojo watches the black fish for as it swims across the screen, whereas Geto's eyes are lowered the moment the white fish appears and he closes them as it swims past.

Gojo cannot bear to tear his eyes away, whilst Geto cannot bear to look

Throughout the credits, Gojo and Geto have been making their way towards each other through the pouring rain (or mostly sitting and waiting in Geto's case). At the end, they meet each other under a bridge and as they walk away together we see the fish a final time, swimming together again in a puddle formed by the heavy rain.

Geto walks on the left in the light, as the white fish swims close to his head, almost invisible in the brightness of the light. Whilst Gojo walks on the right in the shadow with the black fish swimming further away but still close by.

The fish speed after the two men before disappearing completely under the water just before the camera pans up and we watch as Gojo pulls Geto in for a hug as they walk away, before he's playfully shoved away by Geto.

There's a lot going on the credits (+ opening) that is absolutely killing me but man, these fish?! Breathtaking.

My favorite song for Act 1 may just be "Sucker". Obviously the lyrics, the melody, the tone all fit right to capture Jinx's perspective as things fell apart. But what puts "Sucker" above the rest for me is the loop.

As Jinx walks away from the remaining chembarons fighting for Silco's seat we immediately cut back to Silco, alive and stressed. In that moment it's like Silco's watching Jinx walk away. Suddenly the sequence isn't just a brief overview of the state of Zaun. It isn't just Jinx stewing in self-hatred and grief, it's Silco SEEING her like this.

For that split second, it's like Silco's ghost is stuck in place and he can see Jinx in her misery. Silco can see Jinx, but she's pointedly walking away, unwilling to look back, to be seen by him. If Jinx looked back maybe she'd see the mix of concern and frustration on his face for her, but she doesn't want to see it, she doesn't want to feel it.

Jinx would rather leave it all behind, but she can't because the entire chorus is punctuated by the sound of chains. No matter how much the lyrics say she wants to escape her life and the one she lost (Silco), it's impossible because the bond of love she shared with Silco is still holding them together, even in death. And Silco can see how she's let it weigh her down into a spiral of self-loathing and suicidal ideation, rather than carry it forward and live.

been a few days since maws s2 premiered... CAN WE TALK ABOUT THE CAN YOU READ MY MIND REFERENCE THAT WAS SO GOOD!!!

For anyone who didn't get the reference, "Can You Read My MInd" is the love theme from the 1978 movie. The music comes from the score, and while the lyrics were originally intended as a song, in the final film it appears as a voiceover by Lois (Margot Kidder)

The song went on to be recorded by Maureen McGovern and released in 1979.

Superman: The Movie is maybe one of my favorite superhero movies and I loved seeing such a fun easter egg in maws!!!

Sooooo... Michael was really a Michaela. They gender-bended the character.

Idk how to feel lol it will definitely be a different story than the book and it won't be the story I want. But maybe it will turn out to a story I never knew I needed? This is a new story so I'm excited for that.

But disappointed all the same because I really loved Fran and Micheal and I was really excited for their season but oh well...

You know what? It doesn't matter. Masali looks stunning and I'm so happy she's on the show. And if Fran and Michaela are really going to end up together then I can't fkn wait for it. Give me a regency queer love story I'm all here for it jdxdvxjfcn
