the last time we had to move i was so fucking sick of dealing with physical objects that i just gave away my entire cd collection i'd been hauling around since high school, aside from the david bowie sound and vision collection. i decided it would be fine because i had all my CDs ripped to mp3 anyway as well as having them backed up to google music using the library upload that was basically their core feature at the time.

i can’t even say i wish the assult had been worse because it was the worst. at least to me it was. the before the during and the after. it was the type of thing you read about in the news that makes your stomach turn and you blame the victim for not leaving after the first time. you’d think bleeding out in a bathtub would have been enough of a sign of concern that i would have sounded the alarm and not stayed for it to happen another two times. but i did.
