Just remembered i still have two somewhat important story roles that i currently have no characters to fill in this project

#there are twelve fairly important government positions relevant to the story #I have characters for 10/12 of them #and I'm sure I'll love the new characters eventually #once i get them figured out #but I have been working on this spreadsheet for like 6 hours today #so the realization that I gotta come up with more somewhat important characters was just #badly timed/too much for me rn #ghost.txt #project pantheon #one has to have a domain related to time #and the other needs a domain related to magic #writing woes #ghost writes #ghost whines #thats a problem for not right now me

How did Ridley Scott and the entire team that worked on writing, editing and producing gladiator 2 sit there and go “ah, yeah, boys! This is the one” whatever drugs they were on, I want to be on them too so that I can live in de lu lu land too

#you have an outstanding line up of actors #some of the biggest faces in Hollywood rn #and you give them a script that fic writers would have turned into a masterpiece #professional writers were like yeah! this is perfect 12/10 script #and you have an insane budget for a film this big #and instead focus on senseless violence #and fucking CGI sharks and monkeys #and then pretend like you’re the Roman version of George R.R Martin and kill almost every single character off #with little actual plot or character development #where the emotion was just practically non existent #so when you killed off said characters it felt more like oh! he’s dead now ig #instead of OH MY GOD HE’S DEAD NOW?? WTF I LOVED HIM #an almost 3 hour movie and yet it was so fucking choppy and deluded #I looked up the writers for the film and no shocker here but 3 white men were involved in writing the script #pretends to be shocked #anyway #i rest my case #gladiator 2 was a total letdown #and that fucking directors cut better be 4 hours long #gladiator 2 #gladiator ii #gladiator 2 spoilers #pedro pascal #paul mescal #joseph quinn #fred hechinger #connie nielsen #denzel washington #may calamawy

#still trying to figure out snouts #shockingly enough I never really drew anthro characters before i found ralsei #see i've actually done quite a lot of larger drawings in my figure drawing class #around 10-12 #but they're all drawings of real people and half of them are unclothed #and i have no interest in posting either of those things here #but just like last semester #the things i'm learning in that class are popping up in my personal drawings #so in a way i'm still kinda sharing a bit of what i've learned this semester? sort of??#i'm gonna be so damn sad when i don't have this professor anymore #he takes the stress out of model drawing so that we can focus on actually improving instead of just fighting for our grades #and it's working so well for pretty much everyone in the class #i will still likely not be doing any actual drawings any time soon #but if i went any longer without drawing for myself?#i think i was gonna combust #this was actually cathartic i am in a much better mood now #cats #kris #susie #ralsei #deltarune #doodles #okay tag wall finished now i will scroll because i have missed quite a lot lately

getting into ben 10 is so sad bc I binge the entire OS and am like wow cant wait for more and then every other series doesnt have the things I liked about OS and even casual fans online say that 10yo Ben's character in OS is more compelling than all the others but theres barely any of him after OS

#how did that episode in ultimate alien when it brought back 10yo ben make him 10 times more compelling #but only his 10yo self and not his current self in the show #but fr it was so sad learning that they immediately jumped straight to a 5 year timeskip after OS #plus artstule change plus recast plus major personality shift plus redesign #like looking at alien force ben next to OS ben idk who the hell that is bc thats not ben #its fine like im chill with just being neutral/uninterested in the later series and just sticking with OS #thats the power of fandom #i dislike his omniverse characterization but that doesnt mean i dont love rook #and i wont stick him into OS as a self indulgent au #theres also multiple things i like about the later series for sure tho like #1 rook like i just said but also #ben and gwens relationship. i love that they didnt play around with them in AF #and doom dimension likeee #i dont like how theyre written in AF and UA but that stuff is bomb #i think it all boils down to me wishing the show didnt feel split up in eras with different versions of the characters #and it was more linear #like instead of instant 5 year timeskip it was like. now ben and gwen are 11 or 12. maybe even 13 #it shows more development that isnt just a huge jump from 0 to 100 #ben getting more mature is the natural progression of his character but also #its the fact that they gave him major development in OS then changed everybody so jarringly they didnt even feel like the same characters #like theres a reason OS ben is the most compelling #it should have been more linear close together and less broken up in my opinion #pandas.txt #they just made ben look so normal and boring in most of the clips ive seen in the later series #plus not even feeling like the same guy #maybe ill try and watch the reboot #it rlly is chill tho bc im fine with just liking OS its a great show #anything i wanted to see i can just think of in my head myself and now i have a bunch of stuff to play around with #once i get more into it #bc this show is so fun and great and i love it i rlly do wanna stick with it

Long time no Bud. Wow the last time I made her a ref was 2018. I experimented some with her pallet. Unsure if I like the profile head but oh well, open mouthed anime inspired profile faces are notoriously hard for a reason.

Sigh. What am I going to do with her.. my writing conundrum workshopping in tags. My tag rant mentions plot related suicide and ableism (in relation to the zombie trope).

#my art #my ocs #ft the irises #tw suicide #tw ableism #sh e the yello one. can you tell she's thematically yellow?#as i don't care about 'spoilers' anymore because i'm doubtful i'll ever get to finish my writing stuff i'll just dump my writing hangup her #i think she's probably about 18 here (physically)#beware the in the tags plot includes suicide and ableism (in relation to the zombie trope)#Bud's voice specifically is tricky.. as Vera (the ghost) left her body (bud) when she was 10.#And vera took all knowledge (memories and words and thoughts) with her when she left.#and bud had to start mentally from scratch after rising from the dead. thus being interpreted as a 'zombie' sort of monster #Vera hatess Bud as hate of the self/ hate of the physical/ hate of the unintelligent (vera is in the wrong here. but she's complicated)#((lol can you tell why vera named herself that haha))#i want her to prompt characters/people to reininvestigate how they think of 'brainless zombie' tropes in relation to ableism but--#but i am doubtful of my writing ability and should probably change what i have going on to something less risky #originally when i was 12 and i first made them all bud was purely a chaotic antagonist. and i have def moved past that #12 yr old me expressing my suicidal idealization by having Vera absolutely hate her old body #and bud (formerly xqi for askew iris in middle/high school) being the body that was rightfully thrown away #but now that i'm past that all.. i need to make bud a character that can actually take up just as much importance as the other 3 irises #do i have the writing skills to do that? who knows.. the difference between good whispangle and bad whispangle is the difference between trusting each other the most and only trusting each other. between getting stuck in the past or letting the future embrace you. between holding a close bond and being desperate for each other’s company. between being a pair and being a unit.

good whispangle is tangle helping whisper stay in the present and future, and whisper being a guiding hand, a steadying of tangle’s impulse, and the both of them making choices that help and comfort the other.

bad whispangle is tangle getting dragged into dwelling on the past with whisper, is tangle being made to overstep instead of minding the lines she should be able to see, and whisper sinking into a mire that tangle follows her into instead of pulling her from. is putting them together ‘because they’re whispangle’ and forgetting why they were loved together in the first place. is keeping them together because they’re whispangle, even when they trod on the other.

and the difference is,

that if it starts out bad and becomes better, it’s satisfying, heartening.

but to start out excellent and then get worse and decay, feels like a smear or a stain on top of a beloved work.

a natural decay can be done, but we want them to be good together, to bring out the best in each other instead of enabling the worst. if we want to see decay, it is because it makes sense for one or both of them to be driven off-balance and start messing with the other, we want one or both of them to realize this, and we want them to have to jump-start and kick aside and course-correct and come out all the better, for having broken their flaws open and mended them with gold.

we don’t want to see them broken apart and stuck back together with cheap glitter glue.

#somewhat critical so im not tagging them. and its under a readmore. if you see this thru search i love early whispangle &#im not sold on recent dynamics with the ‘neo diamond cutters’ (please use any other name - even if it sounds stupid like ‘ruby tusslers’)#some of them. some of the other bits of their recent dynamic are so good. but it’s a mixed bag #mostly i am a person who loves characters to be capable of being independent. and functioning by their lonesome #idk like i can see tangle being desperate & wanting whisper to stay. what i CANT see if her going ‘lets be the diamond cutters!’#esp without asking whisper.#like you can try and justify it ‘shes trying to keep their memory alive as a positive reminder instead of a dead name’#and i agree that that is justifiable but i just dont like the decision. it doesnt add enough for what it takes away to me #additionally i feel like if tangle & whisper were just the main characters they wouldnt have so many issues (ha. issues. comic)#but because they’re sometimes just absent for 3-10 issues at a time because other characters get a turn #& important developments or open-ended storylines are left bare as bone. (what did tangle do to search for whisper? where did she go?)#if you’re trying to give tangle complicated feelings and have her muse over things & explicitly be supposed to #be considering reforming a ‘diamond cutters’ during the time she’s missing whisper. she should have explicitly been considering that #instead of 0 to ‘lets reuse the traumatic name with no warning��. whisper not knowing? sure. the audience having no clue? bleh.#fair warning i am typing this at 12:30am with a mild headache so maybe i dont make sense #naturally a disclaimer that if you like this go you!! i would be interested in hearing why you like it #but i don’t like it the way i’m currently seeing it

#God this episode is so so good.#Tachihara sweetie I'm sorry I never talk about you. I swear I love him so so much he's an amazing character. I love his story and conflict–#so much.#This arc is peak bsd writing / meta literature plot. The tearing page moment is insane. The sentiments expressed here are so–#deep and emotional. The theme of the ordinary man. God and the force of human spirit.#Fighting against one's own destiny and finding the reason for own's existence. It's all subjects that are so interesting to reflect over–#and they're elaborated on in such a cool and compelling way. I love Dazai's quote on the strength of humans who–#“are caught in the tempest of contingency and scream‚ run and shed blood” so much. It moves me deeply.#The animation was really neat. A lot of detailed sequences. The wind was animated beautifully. The colors were so pretty and the stained–#glass visuals still go so hard.#Again I love Tachihara's conflict so much!!! I'm so into tachi/gin too... I know it's more of a Tachihara x oc since. Well.#We know little to nothing about Gin. But there's still so much spice to it... What do you MEAN Tachihara stabbed Gin !!!!!!#I'm so into the drama. AND the kind of relationship born from the big brother complex™ they both (may) share. AND the work partners.#AND the hiding their true identities to the other. How could I not love them...#Still believe season 4 should have ended where episode 11 ends but spreading it all in 12 episodes to allow it all better pacing.#I really think this season is great but the pacing really is its weakest point.#Of the sky casino arc they could have made a movie if they wanted to. Or just a cool arc at the start of season 5 that can work too!!#(((and not put ch 84-88 at only ep3. And then animate it grossly. But that's another talk.)))#Anyways 100000/10 what a good episode.
