This is a video about transgender oppression that one of my students made as their final project in my class this semester. In it, they are brave and articulate and smart. The editing may not be perfect, but I am so very proud of them that I asked if I could share their work here and they gave me permission. Give it a watch, and please re-blog!

Jazz takes care of a de-aged Danny, and they lay low in Gotham. But just because Danny’s body is younger doesn’t mean his powers have lessened. In fact, they’ve only grown harder to control. Having the energy of a child makes containing his powers harder (just like when he first got them) until they realize that Danny’s powers are much easier to control when he can get rid of some of his excess energy. Jazz hears about a free gym open to all that is also meta-proof (more durable) from a wonderful woman at the library. (Lookin at you Babs)

The gym has a gigantic kids play area, along with classes for all ages and a training area complete with an American Gladiator style obstacle course for adults. Jazz will use the obstacle course sometimes when her boss has fully ticked her off. Stephanie and Cass volunteer there whenever they can. Jason always sends the alley kids there too because it’s close by and a safe place. Dick leads a class there whenever he can.

Dick actually holds the record for the obstacle course. Until Jazz gives it a go after a particularly trying day. She doesn’t realize there’s a record. She never would have used the course if she’d known. Training with Pandora and Fright Knight gave her plenty of advantages with how she can use her liminality and she definitely doesn’t need to stand out.

But again, she doesn’t know there’s a record. Or that someone saw her going repeatedly through the course (Stephanie) and decided to time her on her next go. (She doesn’t film without permission because she’s respectful of boundaries like that) She does post Jazz’s time in the Batfam group chat to take Dick down a couple notches though.

Or someone else (not Batfam, just a random citizen) takes a video of her doing the course and posts it on the internet and now they (Jazz and Danny) have to stay one step ahead of Vlad, the Batfam, their parents, and avoid the GIW. How hard can it be?

OKAY BUT DO YOU KNOW HOW IMPORTANT THE PJO BOOKS ARE cuz I really hope that this tv series becomes a jumping off point for kids with ADHD and dyslexia and other ND stuff to finally find a book series they love, not just because I loved it myself but because ND kids deserve to fall in love with books!!!

My brother is a genius, super smart guy I am so proud of him every single day, but he was always so behind in school because his dyslexia went undiagnosed for ages (my whole family’s dyslexic but his is the worst case by far) and compared to me who was a complete book worm my whole life, he had NOTHING to love in books because every time he read them, he just struggled over and over again. He had given up on books, learning, everything because no books spoke to him and made him WANT to keep trying. Jump cut to me introducing him to the PJO book series!! I was probably ranting about them because I was just an AuDHD girlie hyperfixating and I don’t even remember how I convinced him to read it but you know what happened when DID start reading it??? HE NEVER STOPPED! THAT HAD NEVER HAPPENED BEFORE AND IT WAS SO EXCITING FOR MY FAMILY (MY MOM IS LITERALLY A READING SPECIALIST FOR KIDS SHE WAS SO FUCKING STOKED) THAT THEY GOT HIM THE PJO BOX SET FOR CHRISTMAS AND THAT IS THE MOST WELL-LOVED, YELLOW-PAGED, FALLING APART AT THE SEAMS BOX SET IN OUR HOUSE FULL OF BOOKS BECAUSE MY BROTHER AND I KEEP READING THEM!!!!

I WANT THE SAME FOR THIS NEW GENERATION OF KIDS!! I WANT SOME OF THESE GEN ALPHA BABIES TO STUMBLE UPON THE SHOW, WATCH IT, PICK UP THE BOOKS, AND HAVE A COME TO JESUS MOMENT JUST LIKE MY BROTHER DID BECAUSE THAT’S WHY THEY’RE SO IMPORTANT!!! BECAUSE THERE IS A BOOK SERIES (SEVERAL EVEN) THAT SPEAKS SO WELL TO THE KIDS THAT HAVE GIVEN UP ON LISTENING

Studyblr Community Question 3!

I’m pretty staunchly a pen and paper kinda guy, even though my handwriting isn’t the neatest. I think writing things down on paper helps me retain things much better than if I were to type it up, and I find that they’re easier to refer to.

As for getting things to stick, changing my notes into Anki cards is the way to go!

Please don’t compare yourself to my blog because I only mostly show the highlights. And just because I reblog something about studying languages doesn’t mean I’ve actually done much that day!

There’s nothing wrong with taking it slow and enjoying the language! We’re all here to learn because we want to. There’s no pressure to learn quickly. Learning a language is a lifelong journey, and there’s no rush to fluency. Whatever amount you’re doing, it’s okay and you’re welcome on this blog :-)

SAW MY NEW PSYCHIATRIST TODAY AND HOLY SHIT HE'S AMAZING. he knows his stuff, very easy to talk to, great sense of humor, and is ALSO A PHARMACOLOGIST which according to my mom it's rlly hard to find someone licensed in both professions simultaneously. she used to go to a psychopharmacologist herself and loved how thorough he was so she was stunned when i told her this dude has the exact same credentials. so it's now extremely likely we're staying in this area for the forseeable future (⁠´⁠∩⁠｡⁠•⁠ ⁠ᵕ⁠ ⁠•⁠｡⁠∩⁠`⁠)

i have a therapy appointment lined up next month the day before i see my psych again and it will be IN PERSON!!!! i hated doing teletherapy so fucking much i can't wait to talk to a therapist face to face again. seeing my psych today alone left me feeling more energized than the past 3 years of teletherapy.

im so excited to finally be on the road to getting the help i need again. im excited where my life is going. everything will finally be okay.

While I personally think Jiang Fengmian should’ve been in love with Wei Changze if anything, I’d murder for fics that dig more into him meeting and befriending Cangse Sanren.

Like, I categorically refuse to believe that Baoshan Sanren’s student have any fucking idea what the real world is like if they never left the mountain.

Which means that Jiang Fengmian met the weirdest fucking person. CSR probably insulted him three times within the first five minutes of speaking to him and seemingly only did one offense on purpose (asking why such a dressed up pretty boy was on a nighthunt in fancy clothes) and decided he found her honesty refreshing.

I want the antics of JFM and his Very First Friend with no (political) agenda, who asks a thousand questions about things he’d never even thought to reflect on and treats everyone equal—

—and is a little petty and mean, a bit too much for people, especially polite company. She keeps making fun of him and when one day his temper does snap and he criticizes her back, she just pauses before breaking out in laughter.

And like, he isn’t in love with her, but he loves her all the same as this odd terror, burning bright.

I am going BACK to UNIVERSITY I am going to STUDY to speak NORWEGIAN and TRANSLATE SHIT and get a DEGREE so I can get a DECENT job and I will live in a CITY where I can access ART SUPPLY STORES and VEGAN FOOD and I will meet NEW PEOPLE and make NEW FRIENDS and also work in a queer group that actually has any RESOURCES and the people are THERE and they have TIME and they DO STUFF

Today we talked for an hour about our mental health. I don't ever get emotional when I tell people what's going on with me, but the look on his face when I told him broke my heart. I could've bawled my eyes out right then and there, especially because he said how sad it made him to know I had struggled with this. He said he's always willing to listen if I need to talk, and he wants to do whatever he can to help me 😭
