I think in khml Luxu should be a girl. Like an unapologetically feminine and feral girl. Like she has the br name and says as if and knows way too much but goes under the radar because girl it's the best way for Nomura to pull a fast one on us but it won't happen because Nomura is a co-

I don't know if there's any sort of overlap between ds9 fans and interview with the vampire fans but Ziyal is sooo Claudia to me. They would be friends I think (and based purely off vibes and also father daughter parallels Dukat is Lestat... in my mind they're basically the same character. However this does mean I have no idea who Louis would be - the first to come to mind was Sisko but I'm not sure if that really works. Daniel is Garak)

I’ve seen way too many taekookers recently who talk about JK’s success and the support his solo releases received from the company and how they rightly believed it was all deserved then when it comes to Tae there seems to be this mindset that he’s not as talented or his music isn’t as mainstream so his fans should not only be satisfied theyre actually the problem because they think he’s not successful and I just want to let you know I think that’s bull shit and you sound like company stans which is even more ridiculous when you see what a garbage fire it is over there.

Ranking rpgs based on their combat
(this is only ones that i play and i know the older games are hard to compare to the newer games but i just think it’s nice to see the progression)
10: Mass Effect 1-I genuinely love playing this game but the combat really feels clunky and I HATE the overheating mechanic. I understand for lore reasons why it exists but they ditched the idea in the other games so honestly i’m not a fan. Overall it’s fun but the combat feels very annoying to me but i’ll give it grace for being basically as old as me.
9: Diablo 3-So it’s the only diablo game that iv played but honestly i just think the mechanics feel too repetitive. Like genuinely my biggest complaint with it is that i just get too bored with it even with all the powers you eventually can get. It all kinda feels like your doing the same thing over and over again (unless you find some really good combos).
8: Mass Effect 2-it feels a lot better than ME1 and using biotics is a million times better. However the leveling system kinda sucks and i think they should have just stuck with the system they used in ME1. But the fighting feels a lot better, not great but better.
7: Dragon Age Origins-it physically pains me to put it so low but this game is also old. I like the tactics system a lot and the abilities are so fun but basic combat is just very weird and can be super buggy, especially when bigger enemies can still hit you when you move out of the way so it feels like there’s no point at using certain tactics and you just gotta hit it with as much power as you can.
6: Greedfall-I genuinely love the combat in this game but it gets very boring after awhile. You have very limited abilities and honestly bigger fights just get frustrating because it feels like your just waiting for when you can use your abilities again. But it feels very smooth (for the most part).
5: Mass Effect 3-I love that they added being able to jump over certain things and roll away, it makes me feel more engaged in the fights. The biotics in this game are amazing but again, i hate the leveling system. Can they please just bring back the ME1 level system i’m begging them.
4: Dragon Age 2- So i am in fact the da2 combat target audience. I love how fun and flashy it is, i love having big aoes to use on hordes on enemies, i love being able to swing my weapons around and knock over people like bowling pins, it’s so fucking fun. Obviously it’s not like, the best but i genuinely adore it.
3: Mass Effect Andromeda-Unpopular opinion maybe, but i think combat in this game is fantastic. The jumping while fighting is so fucking fun, the biotics are so cool to use and i actually love the leveling system. The weapons are actually really good and overall i really love fighting in this game. If MEA has no fans i’m fucking dead what can i say.
2: Dragon Age Inqusition-I LOVE IT SO MUCH. I love jumping i love all the different abilities different classes get, i’m obsessed with the weapons and armor crafting. It has some of the flashy-ness that i love from DA2 but still has really good combat abilities and tactics.
1: Baldurs Gate 3-It is hard to compare this game to the others because it’s much more recent and it uses a different system than the others, but i think it provides a great example of what an amazing rpg should do. The different classes are so unique and the combat is genuinely so fun and actually makes me think.
#roast me idc#i have a lot of opinions#dragon age#dragon age origins#dragon age 2#mass effect#mass effect andromeda#diablo#diablo 3#greedfall#baldurs gate 3

Speaking as someone who's entire day revolves around published academic literature, I am fucking begging some of y'all to understand that online content? Is brand fucking new in the context of academic research.
A general rule of thumb is that if something (journal article/book/etc) was published prior to 1997, there is a good chance it hasn't been digitized yet. Yes, there are exceptions, but a good ~60% has to be physically scanned by a human. And that scan? Can't actually be stored/archived anywhere (copyright) so if you need it again in six months? That same human has to physically scan it again.
If something is published between 1997-2006 it has a greater possibility that the publisher has made a digital copy available, or it was natively published online, but that is not fucking guaranteed. Post 2006, the likelihood of online publication spikes dramatically (as does the fact that it might never have been physically published), but again, NOT ZERO.
ALSO. *smashes all y'all researcher's faces between her hands* I need you to fucking understand that publishers are shitbags. There are so many legal restrictions and licensing restrictions when it comes to digital content, it's insane. There's something called a publication embargo, and depending on the title/license agreement, sometimes that shit is just wholesale not available any other way than to pay the stupid $50 for that specific article. And, because libraries (and most larger repositories or public-access clearing houses) have mostly shifted to subscription models when it comes to academic publication access due to demand, we can't pull it from the shelf and scan it for free because that shit isn't physically published anymore and if it is, no one can afford a double subscription.
Basically, I am BEGGING you researchers and academics out there to understand that you can't just get a pdf of everything instantly. YES, WE ALL FUCKING KNOW THE ILLEGAL REPOSITORIES EXIST. I am NOT recommending those because a.) computer viruses b.) they're usually hosted in fucking Russia and c.) it's good, actually, for you to understand how to utilize multiple techniques in finding published research? Also, for fucks sake use older resources too. A lot of the modern published research is founded on those works, and I don't know if you've talked to your classmates or not, but *bangs pot* different people draw different conclusions from the same work and reading the original is a good fucking idea. IF just to figure out where the biases for that research are! And how to either replicate that foundational data or EXPAND THE FOUNDATION AND UNDERSTANDING AND DISPROVE SHIT.
*bangs pot again* IF YOU DON'T READ THE ORIGINAL SHIT, YOU CAN'T POINT OUT THAT THE FOUNDATION IS BUILT ON RESEARCH ONLY CONDUCTED ON A SMALL, BIASED CONTROL BASE AND WORK TO ADJUST SHIT FROM THERE.
Learning outcomes I request if you've made it this far:
We're used to instant access and sometimes that's just not possible and there are good reasons.
Read the citations on academic literature you are using in your research and actually read the material to evaluate for biases.
Donate to your local library, they need fucking money.
#academic research#academic publishing#i have a lot of opinions#you cannot and should not have instant access to everything

Same character, different font.
1. Blonde hair, red eyes (when Yang is angry, at least)
2. Both are in their respective positions for the main goal of killing up monsters/beating villains. Saving people is just a nice bonus of the job.
3. Explosive hits, explosions to manuever, gauntlets as a weapon.
4. Short temper & mommy issues
5. Both are villainized for their behavior (Yang v Mercury, Bakugou at the Sports Festival)
But Starry, you say, Yang is so nice!
Well, says I, Yang doesn’t have a ranking system that determines how much money she makes and if people like her or not. And I don’t believe she was told she was perfect or the greatest or the best (I’m finshing up S3 now, so I may be wrong) but. Bakugou and Yang, I feel, are extremely similar to each other but they grew up under very different circumstances, especially on the parent front.
I could talk about them more, but I want to get more caught up on RWBY first.

This question was in the og Queries book, except I think their phrase was “use a prostitute” 🙄
My answer is the same: no. I don’t support the sexual exploitation of women. I rolled my eyes at the phrase ‘use a prostitute’, bemused by the Wellesley gals’ use of outdated language, but on second thought it’s rather interesting/infuriating/insulting that we’ve adapted our language to make it seem like this is just a job like any other— a viable career path that’s even empowering— rather than a hell into which women and girls are forced into and trapped. Even if they do choose it, or feel like it’s ‘just’ dancing or being a cam girl, the amazing double standards of the dicks who created and perpetuate this system make it so that even though they use you, they will then make that use proof that you’re now degraded and fit only for this purpose.
Not only would I never use and exploit a woman like this, I think anyone who does should be chemically castrated. How about that?

just curious after reading you bg3 fics- who became illithid in your rosalie playthrough? It mentions she thought about it but obviously didn’t- was it orpheus himself?
Hey anon!
Thank you for the question. After walking laps of my flat for an hour while on the decision screen, I tadpoled Orpheus :))))))))))))
But what a day to have written a self sacrificing character who is using the tadpole to self medicate and is scared of what she will become once she's no longer receiving supernatural help!! At least her vampire boyfriend has taught her to be selfish and told her he doesn't want to her to become illithid - !!
oh wait, in Pieces, he's not there either :-) (so the only justification is she knows she needs to be human to want to stop him).
#asks#anons#bg3#rosalie tag#honestly this decision still haunts me AND pissed me off#and every time a friend reaches this stage of the game we have a therapy session via voice note#i have a lot of opinions#but at the end of the day it was just me chanting at my screen 'I dont want her to do this i dont want her to do this'#my tav would have sacrificed herself but god was having none of it#bg3 spoilers

20. what is your go-to bookmark?
33. what was your favorite childhood book?
45. thoughts on separating the author from the work?
oh hello there Marz my love. you are so cute and I appreciate you so much !!! __
20. what is your go-to bookmark?
I am sad to say I am a book mutilator and I dog ear my books lmfaoooo. or like a pencil on the page that I closed it on. I am an awful terrible human I know I know.
33. what was your favorite childhood book?
OMGGGG okay so one of my all time favorite childhood book series I ever read was The Last Dragon Chronicles by Chris D'Lacey. Its like.. dragons, bears, alternate universes, magic, death, loss literally everything. It's even got some horror elements and fantasy. God it is one of my favorite series ever. I re-read from time to time. First couple of books are easy reads and then it starts getting so DARK and CONFUSING it makes me so happy and I love it. Sorry you got me ranting.
45. thoughts on separating the author from the work?
Oh boy. This might be controversial but I do believe in separation of author and work. You can take enjoyment in a world and story that was created by someone while still understand that it was made by someone who isn't inherently good. I believe that once the world is taken in and read by a person, that world is as much as that person's as it is the authors. A person can make the world and shape it to be better in their own head. That's what fan fiction and imagination is for! It is of course important to understand the underlying messages and themes and be aware that they might not have been created for a good reason or be good at all, but if you acknowledge that and understand it then you have the tools to say "hey, this world brings me joy because of XYZ but I know that {redacted} said this, but I can learn from it and make it better" idk im kinda passionate on this topic. It is important to learn from authors that may not be the best people or write the best things because you can take that and learn from it. You can be better from it. __
Sorry I went on a bit of a rant there. but yeah!! I loved these asks thank you Marz!!
#not whump#sunshine answers#sunshinetalks#ask game#I have a lot of opinions#you can still consume media written by a bad person and that doesn't make you an inherently bad person by association#you are allowed to take joy in things while also realizing that the creation of said thing isn't inherently good#idk it's just my idea lmfao
