HII ok so would anyone believe me if i said i'm like 17 pages into my Moominvalley S4 rewrite......

yeah so! here are some fake storyboards i've come up with for a few of the episodes i have plotted out! right now, i've only got about half the episodes with a rough plot, but i've written a crap ton of analysis for each character arc, episode, and overall narrative and how they could be improved, especially since i felt really... unsatisfied with the final season? it didn't feel like a satisfying conclusion to the characters nor story as a whole (due to a lottt of problems, but i think i've rambled about them for too long lol), so i plan to rewrite that fourth season through a mix of art and writing to attempt to give this show the impactful ending it deserves :]

#my goal is to fix some of the writing issues in the show while highlighting the stuff this season does well #because there is stuff it does very well! A bit tired of people complaining about Sanji's principle of "not hitting women" being misogynistic when it has been clearly stated multiple times that he does not choose it and it's heavily tied to his trauma and admiration for his dad and respect for women and definitely not from seeing women as somehow weaker than him

#like okay i get where you're coming from and i understand that from a simpler perspective it's weird #if meet a guy irl who refuses to fight against women no matter how evil they are for no reason other than being women i'd consider it odd #but.... we have watched sanji's backstory and we have seen him actively feeling bad for not being able to hit female enemies #like what do you not understand #you can say the practice itself is based on misogynistic views too but the reasons why sanji doesn't hit women are more complex than that #a lot of people might disagree with me but like #i'm not saying the act itself is awesome and solemn and correct but you can't go and call sanji a misogynistic character just bc of that #like saying he views women as weaker than him is just. wrong. and i've seen people say it #and yes this behavior adds to his gentleman personality and it's also for the writing to show how polite and nice he is to women #but it's not exaggerated. he genuinely has issues viewing women as equals bc he romanticizes them #and that's bad! he knows that's bad!#let the character grow?????? i swear people can't read 😭#i'm not making any sense i just woke up but yeah #one piece #black leg sanji

The cutest reminder ever that the way family works in TSAMS canon is that two parties have to be in mutual agreement that they are family. If one party doesn't agree then they aren't family. Parties can revoke familial ties whenever they want and that means they are no longer family.

"Code Relation" theory is stupid because you're then implying that Eclipse is Sun and Moon's child. Which he isn't. Or that Killcode is somehow Moon's child and his brother at the same time that he's Eclipse, Lunar and Bloodmoon's "father" at the same time that they're Sun and Moon's grand children. Like, we're seeing the issue here, right?

Don't make things more complicated than it has to be. Just accept the fact that family is literally determined by a verbal agreement between two animatronics and nothing else because none of them were born from wombs. That means respecting canon when characters in canon decide that they aren't comfortable being family (like Eclipse) or just straight-up disown everyone (like Bloodmoon). It's okay to have headcanons, but don't try to push them onto canon.

The one thing about Arcane season 2 that I'm still a little bit mad about is that Vi and Jinx never really talked. They had a total of 2 conversations in season 1, one where they got interrupted and Jinx was never able to tell Vi what happened in the 7 years Vi was in prison, and the second where Vi still had no clue what was going on. But that's fine, miscommunication that befalls tragedy, it's intentional, and character-wise Jinx wasn't in that kind of headspace for that to happen. But then season 2 rolls around and at no point in season 2 did they sit down and talk about what went wrong, why they made the decisions they did, and try to understand each other. We never even got a loud fight where they unloaded all the negative feelings they had towards each other, or a quiet painful confession that they felt like failures towards each other. They had so much down time that we should've seen all that, the fight in the mines and the talk in the commune should've been that, but they only barely skimmed the surface. Did Vi even find out about Jinx being injected with shimmer? Did Jinx ever find out why Vi left her that night? No, they didn't, and that's just such a shame.

#theres a lot in season 2 that i have issues with but thats just the most prevalent to me #nothing that bogs down the whole season for me. i still think it was a masterpiece but their relationship is the core of the show #and i dont think their ending was satisfying #also it is a fundamental misunderstanding of Vi's character to me to think she would be happy after losing her sister like that #a better ending would have been if Jinx left Vi a note telling her she was just taking a break away from piltover. and Vi understanding tha #because yes i do think jinx needs time away from zaun to fully realize herself again but faking her death for Vi would not have worked #vi would have been destroyed #if vi knew jinx left and accepted it it would've also shown her growth in accepting her little sister was her own person.#and could've truly moved on #also i will never understand the vi slander in season 1. 'she refused to understand jinx' <- she got out of prison after 7 years #after being kidnapped and interned at age 14-16 #the tea party was like 5 days after that. she has no clue whats going on. she talked to her sister exactly one time before that.#notart
