I hate not being able to draw good. Or at least, not being able to draw Transformers good

I have this mental image in my head of a piece where you have Prima and Megatronus from TF One, with them looking at each other while Prima’s hands are stained with Energon and Megatronus’ left shoulder has a giant hole in it and is possibly missing that arm. This would be to go with the reincarnation theory going around, but the version where Prima became D-16 and Megatronus became Orion

Like the image is really cool in my head, but I for the life of me don’t know how to draw it (or the duo themselves because I’ve never done so), and even if I attempted it I know it wouldn’t look as good as the image in my head deserves

So I basically have to settle for just telling you the idea in my head, which will not be nearly as impactful as drawing the picture out, or at the very least it sounds significantly less cool just spelled out like this, or keeping it to myself until I completely forget it because I do not have the ability to draw it

*sigh* sorry, it’s frustrating. I want to share this idea that sounds cool in my head, but I can’t and it’s getting to me. Part of it might also be that I have a headache right now from playing Legend of Mana too long and it’s prohibiting me from drawing, but even without it I’d still feel this way

Just finished Good Omens 2 and I'm honestly boggling at the Aziraphale hate because yes, his decision led to the angsty cliffhanger, but it makes SO much sense for his character. Not just in a "Religious brainwashing and sunk-cost fallacy" kinda way but also a "Aziraphale has no reason to believe this isn't the perfect solution" way. That scene among the nebula is crucial because it establishes that Crowley loved being an angel—reveled in his ability to create and allow his creations to grow kinda like plants—and the only problem was that someone else was calling the shots, someone who wouldn't listen to his criticism. Aziraphale has also spent 6,000+ years watching Crowley do good, all the while forced to deny the fact that he's "nice" lest embracing his original nature get him into trouble with hell. Now, Metatron comes along with an offer that fixes everything in one fell swoop. Crowley can be an angel again, be nice without censure, his ideas and criticisms will hold weight because he'll be answering to Aziraphale, and they'll be together.

It strikes me that Aziraphale isn't there when Crowley sees Gabriel's trial, ergo he likewise doesn't see the (non)acknowledgement that there's an institutional problem up in Heaven. There just happen to have been two archangels who called it quits. Same when Gabriel blurts that phrase out to Crowley. Aziraphale has always been more blind to the ways in which Heaven is "toxic" (for very understandable reasons) and this season he's continually sheltered from new evidence of its structural problems. The plot just preaches to the choir: Crowley. He likewise wouldn't see the conflict Gabriel and Beelzebub have caused as evidence of an underlying problem because that's a problem he and Crowley will no longer share. Why would they be worried about Heaven still being unable to accept partnerships between angels and demons when Crowley will no longer be a demon? And that's something he presumably wants based on Aziraphale's memories of him and the ongoing admission that he's lonely.

The way I see it, they got what they thought they wanted at the start of Season 2. Heaven and Hell are keeping an eye on them, but functionally they're left alone. Crowley can spend all the time he wants with Aziraphale and nothing comes of that except that they're both continually named traitors and the higher-ups grumble about it. If Gabriel had never shown up, things should have been perfect based on Crowley's "Let's just run away and have each other's company" standards. Better, even, considering that they get to be together on their beloved Earth, rather than being bored out in Alpha Centauri without any sushi, plants, books, or Bentleys. And yet... Crowley doesn't strike me as particularly happy. Because, you know, based on that kiss he wants to be with Aziraphale, not just literally be with him, but the point of this post is that his "Let's run away and be an 'us'" falls totally flat when he doesn't explain that specific desire to Aziraphale; the desire to change what an 'us' means. From Aziraphale's perspective they're already an 'us.' That was the entire point of "our side" in Season 1 and now they can continue to be 'us' up in Heaven. Plus, Aziraphale likely sees this as a sacrifice on his part. He will give up his bookshop, his Earthly indulgences, take on the responsibilities of leadership (which I don't think he actually wants for a variety of reasons), and spend the rest of eternity in a place where he's felt so small because he thinks that's what Crowley wants. Crowley was happy as an angel. Crowley wanted them to be together without risk of permanent discorporation. They were able to achieve that after not-Armageddon and he still wasn't happy... so surely those two things together will do the trick. Crowley never actually articulates how he wants their relationship to change and the kiss comes much too late, when he's already rejected what Aziraphale must see as a perfect, selfless solution he's secured for them. Even if Crowley wasn't always moving too fast for him, an overture of romance isn't going to go well after that.

Is this crushing and angsty and devastating as a hiatus? Damn straight, my heart it breaking. But it's a good setup. More importantly, it makes perfect sense for their characters, particularly when they're still talking past one another. Aziraphale is someone who has always moved more slowly as a matter of course, as an angel he has remained immersed in the rhetoric of Heaven, his main avenue of breaking free of that (Crowley) has a huge communication problem (to say nothing of his own denial. He only made headway with the help of Nina and Maggie, seconds before Aziraphale shows up), and Metatron (in a no doubt incredibly manipulative manner) has just offered Aziraphale a job that presumably makes him happy AND Crowley happy AND allows him to maintain the moral this-is-how-the-universe-works perspective he's had since he was literally created. Of course he's going to say yes to all that!! And sure, there are problems in Heaven, Aziraphale isn't completely blind, but he can fix them now that he's in charge. How? Well... he'll figure that out later! Kinda like how he's been making plans on the fly this entire season. That seems logical from his perspective, right? It's not like he's gotten a crash-course in the concept of the master's tools never being able to dismantle the master's house...

okay so how i see it happening.

lucien somehow finds out about what's going on in lysander's city and wants to help. they start meeting each other. lysander does not trust him, doesn't want to trust him, because he's never been able to put any trust or faith in a nobility or royalty or higher ups. but lucien just seems so... nice. good. and that can't be right, no one can be that nice without something to gain, without some agenda.

but time passes. lucien is really just that nice. and he sees good in lysander. and lysander knows what he's doing isn't wrong, he believes what he's doing is right, but he also doesn't really believe he's a good person. and lucien tells him he is. and that annoys him because it makes him *feel*.

and lucien ends up helping too much. or doing something to help lysander's people that makes lysander feel inept. who does lucien think he is, swooping in with his riches and power. doing things for them lysander couldn't because he didn't have the money. and maybe lysander takes it as lucien trying to make him feel small and poor, but that isn't how lucien meant it. and lysander knows that deep down. but it's easier to get angry at lucien than accept that it's okay if he wants or needs this man's help. so he gets angry at lucien.

and lysander know's he's wrong for blowing up at him. for pushing him away. and after an amount of time of feeling sorry for himself, he goes to see lucien. shows up on his doorstep and apologies. and lucien just accepts it. this stupid fucking kind man just accepts it, says he understands, *he* apologies for overstepping, that he should have consulted lysander, doesn't want to cross any boundaries, tells lysander he's doing a good job and that wall inside lysander just comes crumbling down.

lysander stays the night, in his own room lucien has set aside. and in the morning lucien invites him for breakfast. and then on a walk, touring his gardens. and lysander asks what the fuck all of this is. and lucien says he just wants to help, but admits to having one ulterior  motive. and lysander thinks finally he's got him but the lucien says "i wanted an excuse to keep seeing you".

lysander calls him a stupid man. blusters and tries to act like he doesn't understand what lucien is getting at, but he does. and lucien just stands there patiently, until lysander has finished ranting, and then asks lysander if he can court him. if he can kiss him.

and lysander says yes.

Lysander telling Lucien to stop fucking him like he’s gonna break. Lucien says he’s not into causing pain. But Lysander’s not asking for pain, he’s just asking if Lucien ever wants to just pound into him. It takes some convincing that he’s allowed too (Lucien is worried he’s too big and could too easily hurt someone) but Lysander assures him that he wants to be fucked hard.

The Naruto light novels are a series of light novel projects launched by Shueisha and VJump that tell the story of one or more characters who are commonly used as protagonists. Each novel explores a story set between chapter 699 of Naruto and an uncertain point in Boruto: Naruto Next Generations. 

The novels are written by different authors and all illustrated by Masashi Kishimoto, who is also credited as the creator. Each novel occupies a space within the official Naruto timeline.

The Naruto novels are often overlooked and surrounded in mystery as some of them never received a proper and fair adaptation into the anime, with only a few making their way into Naruto Shippūden and Boruto: Naruto Next Generations with a much shortened version of the full work and omitting key characters from each. 

Despite light novels making their way into many universes in the world on animanga as one of the methods to flesh out blank parts of the story or characters, many fans reject the written format.

Usually, non-readers who have had access to information about their contents, more than once find incomplete or erroneous summaries or explanations. Some of these novels have also not been translated to English, which contributes to the lack of public knowledge about them outside Japan or the correct version of the story.

Many others consider that these novels are not canon and reject them despite being officially part of the universe because they’re not written by Masashi Kishimoto, instead being written by people affiliated with the franchise whose story has been approved by the editorial. 

Although people are free to believe what they want, without novels, a lot of material from the anime wouldn’t exist, as well as any potential sequel. The only projects written by Masashi Kishimoto are Naruto, Naruto Gaiden and Boruto: Naruto the Movie, as well as the recent prequel Minato Gaiden. 

Nonetheless, Masashi Kishimoto does offer his ideas and is in contact with the many writers and illustrators that write content for the franchise. 

Despite differences of opinions, all novels are canon, although the concept of “canon” doesn’t exist in Japan. Novels, as well as mangas and other movies are all written to follow the original work of Naruto, so they are all a spin-off. 

A spin-off is a piece of media created based on an earlier work or an original work to act as its prequel or sequel. For example, Naruto Gaiden is a spin-off of Naruto despite being written and illustrated by Masashi Kishimoto himself, as it’s all Boruto material and the light novels. 

A spin-off isn’t the same as filler. 

The Naruto novels are divided in four installments: 

Naruto Hiden (NARUTO -ナルト- 秘伝) published in 2015.

Naruto Shinden (NARUTO -ナルト- 真伝) published in 2015.

Naruto Shinden (NARUTO -ナルト- ナルト新伝) published in 2018.

Naruto Retsuden (NARUTO -ナルト- 烈伝) published in 2019.

Sakura Haruno/Sakura Uchiha is mentioned in almost every novel and plays a big role in the majority of them. 

Naruto Hiden (NARUTO -ナルト- 秘伝) is a series released in 2015 that was part of the first Naruto Project in commemoration of the manga’s 15th anniversary. The project has six different novels released between February and July of 2015 written by different authors.

The time chosen for the stories lies between Naruto chapter 699 and 700, a period known as Blank Period.

The Blank Period is the official young adulthood era of Naruto. It’s one of the fan favorite periods and it contains some of the most popular and preferred designs of the main characters. Because Naruto suffered an abrupt timeskip of 15 years from chapter 699 to 700, many fans aren’t privy to what happens in that time frame, so the novels offer a very interesting perspective into the lives of the main characters.

The Hiden novels contain six stories about some of the most beloved characters: Kakashi Hiden, Shikamaru Hiden, Sakura Hiden, Konoha Hiden, Gaara Hiden and Akatsuki Hiden, all published in chronological order. 

Two of these were adapted by Studio Pierrot.

KAKASHI HIDEN:

Kakashi Hiden: Lightning in the Icy Sky (カカシ秘伝 氷天の雷) or Kakashi's Story: Lightning in the Frozen Sky is a novel written by Akira Higashiyama and illustrated by Masashi Kishimoto published by Jump J Books and edited by VIZ Media: SJ Fiction on February 4th, 2015. The book is one of the six novels written for the 15th anniversary of Naruto dubbed Naruto Project, where different authors explored the “hidden” stories of some of the most popular characters including the Gaara, Shikamaru Nara, Kakashi Hatake, Sakura Haruno and two books about individual stories of the Konoha 12 and Akatsuki. 

Kakashi’s Story was the first novel to be published. It focuses on Kakashi Hatake, the jōnin leader of Team 7 and former ANBU currently preparing to assume his new Hokage title. He takes the role of protagonist where he goes on one last mission before being appointed Konoha’s Sixth Hokage.

The summary reads:

“A year has passed since the Fourth Great Ninja War, and Kakashi’s appointment as Hokage blooms. But first he heads to the Land of Waves for a dangerous mission rescuing hostages from a top-secret airship. There he confronts a ninja whose heart is frozen by tragedy.

Having lost both his friend’s eye and his greatest abilities, can Kakashi protect anyone from his cold-hearted foe? What is the true meaning of the Will of Fire gained in the distant heavens? Kakashi finds these answers and more as he enters a ninja ninja era.”

Some of the supporting characters of the novel include his friend Might Guy, Tsunade, his students Naruto Uzumaki and Sakura Haruno and their classmates Sai, Team 10, Shino Aburame, Kiba Inuzuka and Team 3 who participate in the mission, and the main villains Rahyō, Kahyō and Garyō.

SAKURA HARUNO IN KAKASHI HIDEN:

Months after Sasuke left for his journey of redemption and in the wake of a new Hokage, Kakashi asked Tsunade to keep her title as leader while he prepared his last mission as a shinobi: overseeing the security of the Tobishachimaru, an airship developed by Tazuna and Inari in the Land of Waves. Meanwhile, other Konoha shinobi guarded Hozuki Castle (Blood Prison) after the previous guard, Mui, had passed away.

However, the airship was hijacked by the Ryūha Armament Alliance, who delivered a message to Konoha about their intentions with the Tobishachimaru. Tsunade then contacted Shikamaru, who was in charge of guarding Hozuki Castle, and informed him of the situation. She instructed Sakura to put together a team of medical-ninja and head to Hozuki Castle in case they needed to shoot the airship. 

At the castle, Sakura saw the Ryūha Armament Alliance descending from the airship to infiltrate the prison. She watched the roof of Hozuki Castle along with Sai, Rock Lee and Chōji. Later, as the Tobishachimaru glided to the ground, Sakura and her comrades rushed to put the prisoners to safety. 

After putting everyone to safety, Sakura and Tsunade rushed to treat any injured.

SHIKAMARU HIDEN:

Shikamaru Hiden: A Cloud Drifting in Silent Darkness (シカマル秘伝 闇の黙に浮ぶ雲) or Shikamaru’s Story: A Cloud Drifting in the Silent Dark is a novel written by Takashi Yano and illustrated by Masashi Kishimoto published by Jump J Books and edited by VIZ Media: SJ Fiction on March 4th, 2015. The book is one of the six novels written for the 15th anniversary of Naruto dubbed Naruto Project, where different authors explored the “hidden” stories of some of the most popular characters including the Gaara, Shikamaru Nara, Kakashi Hatake, Sakura Haruno and two books about individual stories of the Konoha 12 and Akatsuki. 

Shikamaru’s Story was the second novel to be published. It focuses on Shikamaru Nara, the heir of the Nara Clan and a jōnin member of Team 10 that is currently preparing himself to become Naruto’s advisor. He takes the role of protagonist where it explores one of his most dangerous missions as captain.

The summary reads:

“Two Years after the Great Ninja War, Shikamaru spends his days racing around, hands full as one of Konoha’s key protectors. Then one day a large number of ninja from every region are reported missing. Even Sai disappears. And the place where the missing shinobi end up is the mysterious empire, the Land of Silence.

As a ninja, as an adult, to protect all that he is responsible for, Shikamaru must do battle with the shadow of a new generation.”

Some of the supporting characters of the novel include his teammates Chōji Akimichi and Ino Yamanaka, his classmates Naruto Uzumaki and Sakura Haruno and their allies from Sunagakure Temari and Gaara who participate in the mission, his two ANBU teammates Rō and Soku, and the main villain Gengo.

SAKURA HARUNO IN SHIKAMARU HIDEN:

Two years after the Fourth Shinobi World War, several Konoha shinobi mysteriously went missing, including Sai, amidst peaceful times. Kakashi sent Shikamaru on a mission to the Land of Silence to investigate with two of the best ANBU experts on infiltrations with him. 

Some time before the mission, Shikamaru was pensive, at one time remembering when he almost died at the hands of the Ten Tails and his desire to become Naruto's advisor while Sakura treated his injuries in the battlefield. When Shikamaru arrived at the Land of Silence, Sai and several shinobi had been put under genjutsu.

One day while visiting Sakura at her workplace, Naruto voiced his concern about Sai’s sudden disappearance from Konoha and Shikamaru’s suspicious behavior. She discussed it with Naruto, but Sakura reminded him that Shikamaru and Sai are powerful shinobi and they would ask for his help in case they needed it.

Some time later, Sakura arrived at the Land of Silence with Naruto, Chōji and Ino, where she saved Temari from a direct attack from Sai by sending him away with her taijutsu. She removed the kunai plunged in Temari’s abdomen and quickly treated her wound. As Chōji held Sai, Ino used Mind Body Switch to free Sai from the genjutsu while Sakura and Chōji joined forces to protect her body by fighting the other incoming enemy. 

Inside Sai, there was a warm chakra inside of him that belonged to Sakura and Team 7.

By the end of the mission, Sakura healed Shikamaru’s wounds and stayed behind with Naruto in the Land of Silence to wrap up and tend to other people.

This novel received an anime adaptation from episodes 489 to 493 in 2017. Despite being part of the mission to rescue Shikamaru, Sakura was completely erased from the adaptation.

SAKURA HIDEN:

Sakura Hiden: Thoughts of Love, Riding Upon a Spring Breeze (サクラ秘伝 思恋、春風にのせて) or Sakura's Story: Love Riding the Spring Breeze is a novel written by Tomohito Ōsaki and illustrated by Masashi Kishimoto published by Jump J Books and edited by VIZ Media: SJ Fiction on April 3rd, 2015. The book is one of the six novels written for the 15th anniversary of Naruto dubbed Naruto Project, where different authors explored the “hidden” stories of some of the most popular characters including the Gaara, Shikamaru Nara, Kakashi Hatake, Sakura Haruno and two books about individual stories of the Konoha 12 and Akatsuki. 

Sakura’s Story was the third novel to be published. It focuses on Sakura Haruno, the Fifth Hokage’s student turned the world’s best medical-ninja and a jōnin member of Team 7 that is currently on her path to innovate Konoha’s medical branch. As the former main female character, she takes the role of protagonist and fights one of her most powerful battles.

The summary reads:

“The Great Ninja War did not only harm adults, but left many damaged children behind. Medical ninja Sakura travels the land, opening clinics dedicated to healing children of the mental trauma they experienced. She learns of a series of attacks against Konoha, and her investigation leads to an impossible conclusion: Sasuke is the terrorist mastermind behind them all! 

Using her skills and her heart, Sakura strives to clear Sasuke's name and bring the real perpetrator to justice.”

Some of the supporting characters of the novel include her teammates Naruto Uzumaki and Sai, Kakashi Hatake, Ino Yamanaka and Tsunade who support Sakura with her project, and the main villains Kido Tsumiki and Magire.

SAKURA HARUNO IN SAKURA HIDEN:

Because this is Sakura’s novel, she appears throughout it and all the plot points are centered around her, so rather than giving a summary of her role in the story, I’ll try to explain some of the most important aspects. 

Months after Hanabi’s rescue mission to the Moon, Sakura attended a meeting at Konoha Hospital to review reports about her new Children’s Therapy Center, a new hospital ward to assess children’s hearts and minds that she had established six months after the Fourth Shinobi World War, a new revolutionary concept that had proved a success in Konoha. Days later, Kakashi summoned her to his office to inform her that, guided by Gaara’s interest in her Therapy Center, Sunagakure was seeking to follow the same path. She began preparing a trip to Sunagakure accompanied by Ino to help their Medical Corps establish a similar center at their own hospital, where Sakura delivered a speech about the results obtained in Konoha and solved any inquiry they might have about the project.

In Sunagakure, Sakura and Ino learned from Gaara that Sasuke had been plotting an attack against Konoha and Sunagakure. Back in Konoha, they were informed that Sai had been investigating an attack against the Fire daimyō and one of the advisors, with whom Kakashi had recently met to allocate funds on Sakura’s center, per the Hokage’s orders. All eyes pointed to a coup organized by a former ANBU Root, Kido Tsumiki, and his accomplice, the medical-ninja Magire. In the meantime, Sakura pondered about the idea of Sasuke trying to plot against Konoha, but Naruto convinced her that it couldn’t possibly be him. Both friends became teachers at the Ninja Academy for the day.

Sakura learned about Sasuke’s recent whereabouts from Kakashi, but both believed that it must have been an impostor imitating Sasuke’s chakra to carry out a plan. In a meeting with Tsunade, Sakura theorized if it was possible to take DNA from Sasuke and draw out his chakra to impersonate him. At the Hokage office, after Sakura explained her theory to Kakashi and Ino, Sai believed that Kido might have used Magire’s medical knowledge to replicate Sasuke’s chakra. Kakashi appointed Sakura, Sai and Ino to form a team, which Ino called “Ino-Saku-Sai.”

During one of her rounds, Sakura found herself in a genjutsu that she couldn’t dispel in time, which gave Kido a chance to kidnap her. She woke up bound and unable to knead chakra in Kido’s hideout. He told Sakura that he planned to use her to lure Sasuke to Konoha due to the nature of their relationship, also planning to kill Sakura before him to develop his Sharingan and replicate it to use it as a weapon. In order to buy time to regain strength, Sakura interrogated Kido and he confessed that he was using Sasuke and Naruto’s DNA to make synthetic weapons to sell them to villages. After his confession, Sakura used her strength to break herself free. Outside the facility where she was kept captive, she found Sai and Ino.

After beating several ANBU, Sakura suggested she fought Kido and his Tailed Beast chakra alone, while Sai and Ino joined forces against Magire. Kido used his synthetic Tailed Beast drug to draw nine tails in order to defeat Sakura as a Pseudo-jinchūriki, but using Creation Rebirth and her previous knowledge of how bijū cloaks heal damage, she defeated him with a jutsu of her own that applied the principles of medical ninjutsu to her advantage in battle: by killing the cells that healed themselves by over-replication, Sakura managed to stop Kido’s regeneration and defeated him with a powerful blow.

After his defeat, Kido confessed that he came from a poor family and couldn’t afford medication to help his sick father, but his father preferred to give up his medication so he could send Kido to the Ninja Academy. Decades after his father’s passing, Kido wondered about how different his life would have been if they had money. Sakura was hopeful that her new center would help children in need and prevent cases like Kido’s. Days later, Sakura was summoned by Sunagakure to deliver another speech.

At the end of the novel, a long time had passed and Sasuke returned to Konoha.

Konoha Hiden: The Perfect Day for a Wedding (木ノ��秘伝 祝言日和) is a novel written by Shō Hinata and illustrated by Masashi Kishimoto published by Jump J Books and edited by VIZ Media: SJ Fiction on May 1st, 2015. The book is one of the six novels written for the 15th anniversary of Naruto dubbed Naruto Project, where different authors explored the “hidden” stories of some of the most popular characters including the Gaara, Shikamaru Nara, Kakashi Hatake, Sakura Haruno and two books about individual stories of the Konoha 12 and Akatsuki. 

Konoha’s Story was the fourth novel to be published. It focuses on several characters from Konoha, narrating the adventures of pairs of Konoha 12 shinobi in their quest to find the perfect wedding gift for Naruto and Hinata. Each pair is the protagonist of a chapter.

The summary reads:

“In Konohagakure, there was an announcement of a certain special mission by the Sixth Hokage Kakashi. It was a confidential mission that Naruto and Hinata could not know about at all: “The people who are attending the wedding ceremony of Naruto and Hinata are to bring celebratory gifts”. 

And so, the shinobi of Konohagakure raise the curtain on a mission to procure the items. Lee was even thinking about it while running several laps around the spacious village. Then, Neji appeared in a dream. Tenten was worried about the ninja weaponry in her hands. At once, she began training in throwing kunai. Shikamaru and Chōji held a tactical meeting over barbecue. There, Temari appeared. Sakura and Ino bumped into one another at a general store. For some reason, a cooking showdown began. The main pairs include Rock Lee and Tenten with Might Guy, Shikamaru Nara and Chōji Akimichi with Temari, Naruto Uzumaki and Teuchi, Sakura Haruno and Ino Yamanaka and Shino Aburame and Kiba Inuzuka with Tamaki, Iruka Umino and Kakashi Hatake.

SAKURA HARUNO IN KONOHA HIDEN:

While looking for the perfect unique gift, Sakura found a beautiful photo frame she was sure nobody could copy. As she reached for it, Ino reached for the frame at the same time and both tried to seize the object from each other’s hands. With her strength, Sakura took the photo frame from Ino’s hands, which prompted a loud and heated discussion that got both kicked out of the store.

Pointing out that she could only use force to her advantage, Ino tried to manipulate her friend into thinking the photo frame was ugly, but Sakura was confident that those tactics wouldn’t work on her anymore now that she had surpassed her former rival in everything. As a response, Ino claimed that if there was one thing she could beat her at was in femininity, the opposite of the brutality Sakura offered, like cooking and being a good wife. Sakura felt insulted by the accusation and challenged Ino to a cooking competition with Chōji as judge. 

They decided to cook Soldier Pills, a mass of preserved transportable balls of nutrients to use on missions. Sakura ultimately made soldier pills using Ino’s favorite food, and Ino did the same. During the competition, Chōji was so overwhelmed by the taste that he fainted, so Sakura and Ino tasted each other’s plates and called it a draw. Then, they decided to get a joint wedding present. 

This novel received an anime adaptation from episodes 494 to 500 in 2017. Despite being a more accurate representation compared to other works, a lot of material and lines were erased.

GAARA HIDEN:

Gaara Hiden: A Sandstorm Mirage (我愛羅秘伝 砂塵幻想) is a novel written by Ukyō Kodachi and illustrated by Masashi Kishimoto published by Jump J Books and edited by VIZ Media: SJ Fiction on June 4th, 2015. The book is one of the six novels written for the 15th anniversary of Naruto dubbed Naruto Project, where different authors explored the “hidden” stories of some of the most popular characters including the Gaara, Shikamaru Nara, Kakashi Hatake, Sakura Haruno and two books about individual stories of the Konoha 12 and Akatsuki. 

Gaara’s Story was the fifth novel to be published. It focuses on Gaara, the son of the Fourth Kazekage and current Kazekage who is approached by the village’s elders in order to produce an heir that would continue the family’s tradition. He takes the role of protagonist and it explores Suna’s political state.

“The Ninja Alliance has overcome the danger posed by the moon, but for one of its most prominent members, the trouble is far from over. Some of the supporting characters of the novel include his siblings Temari and Kankurō, his former sensei Baki, several Sunagakure officials and Shikamaru Nara.

SAKURA HARUNO IN GAARA HIDEN:

Sakura doesn’t participate in the affairs happening in Sunagakure, but Gaara mentioned her a few times when talking about a shinobi’s skillset.

Gaara remembered that shinobi villages were founded by several shinobi clans filled with hidden techniques and Kekkei Genkai whose power were revered, but there were times where coming from a good family or bloodline didn’t mean becoming an outstanding shinobi. Gaara thought about Sakura, a kunoichi with a regular civilian background that had surpassed others by hard work and pure strength. He also compared the difference between the taijutsu level of a medical-ninja with his own, a shinobi sent to the frontlines, and recalled that Sakura was the exception of the rule, managing to be both a medical-ninja and a battle-type.

He also revealed that Sakura was one of the few shinobi who taught him about love and became his pillars.

AKATSUKI HIDEN:

Akatsuki Hiden: Evil Flowers in Full Bloom (暁秘伝 咲き乱れる悪の華) is a novel written by Shin Towada and illustrated by Masashi Kishimoto published by Jump J Books and edited by VIZ Media: SJ Fiction on July 3rd, 2015. The book is one of the six novels written for the 15th anniversary of Naruto dubbed Naruto Project, where different authors explored the “hidden” stories of some of the most popular characters including the Gaara, Shikamaru Nara, Kakashi Hatake, Sakura Haruno and two books about individual stories of the Konoha 12 and Akatsuki. 

Akatsuki’s Story was the sixth and last novel to be published. It focuses on the many missions the Akatsuki members went on before the start of Naruto.

THE LAST: NARUTO THE MOVIE:

The Last: Naruto the Movie is a novel written by Maruo Kyozuka and illustrated by Masashi Kishimoto published by Jump J Books and edited by VIZ Media: SJ Fiction on December 8th, 2014. The book is the written adaptation of the movie The Last: Naruto the Movie, also written by Maruo Kyozuka, for the 15th anniversary of Naruto dubbed Naruto Project, where the official Fourth Databook and the Blank Period’s databook were released.

The Last: Naruto the Movie novelization was the first novel to be published about the Blank Period. The story revolved around Toneri Ōtsutsuki, a descendant of the branch family of Hamura Ōtsutsuki, who kidnapped Hanabi Hyūga and Konoha is sent on a rescue mission to the moon. It takes place shortly after the events of Shikamaru Hiden and before Sakura Hiden.

“The moon begins to collapse and meteorites rain down on Earth! As the last day of the Earth approaches, in the Hidden Leaf, Hanabi is kidnapped by Ōtsutsuki Toneri, and Naruto, Sakura, Sai, Shikamaru and Hinata embark on a mission to rescue her.”

Some of the main characters of the novel include Naruto Uzumaki, Sakura Haruno, Sai, Shikamaru Nara and Hinata Hyūga, as well as supporting characters Kakashi Hatake and Konoha shinobi, Hanabi Hyūga, and the main villain Toneri Ōtsutsuki.

SAKURA HARUNO IN THE LAST: NARUTO THE MOVIE NOVEL:

The novel isn’t very different from the movie, but there are things that are explained more thoroughly than in the movie, where things happened sometimes for plot convenience rather than having a logical explanation (that the novel explains or removes because in the movie it makes no sense). I’ll explain the parts where the novel offers insight about Sakura’s role.

After learning from Hiashi that Hanabi had been kidnapped, Kakashi chose Sakura, Sai and Shikamaru as the original lineup to rescue Hanabi. Shikamaru thought that Sakura was needed for her medical ninjutsu, ideally following the norm that every team should have at least one reliable medical-ninja, but had doubts about Hinata and Naruto 

When the team fell for Toneri’s genjutsu Sakura dreamt about her closest friends, Tsunade, Sasuke, Ino and Naruto. She identified inconsistencies common in genjutsu like blurry vision, and dispelled the illusion.

While healing Naruto, Sakura mentioned that his heartbeat was weak after having his chakra drained by Toneri. 

(In reality, a jinchūriki’s chakra can’t be absorbed that quickly. It took the full members of the Akatsuki several days to extract Shukaku from Gaara, just as it took Momoshiki a long time to partially absorb the power of Kurama with Rinnesharingan. In reality, it would take Sakura a while to replenish, although she has quicker options like her seal and Katsuyu.)

While working, Shikamaru offered Sakura to take a break before she lost consciousness, which is the prelude of Naruto finding her later resting after saving his life. The following day, Sakura was still not at full strength but decided to join the rescue team. Shikamaru mentioned she was a great kunoichi.

It was Sakura who had put Hanabi’s eyes back in place and healed her completely.

SASUKE SHINDEN (2015):

Sasuke Shinden: Book of Sunrise (サスケ真伝 来光篇) or Sasuke’s Story: Book of Sunrise is a novel written by Shin Towada and illustrated by Masashi Kishimoto published by Jump J Books and edited by VIZ Media: SJ Fiction on November 4th, 2015. The book is one of the three novels written for the Naruto Project.

Sasuke’s Story was the third novel to be published. It focuses on Sasuke Uchiha, the last member of the Uchiha Clan and a rogue ninja member of Team 7 who possesses both the Mangekyō Sharingan and Rinnegan that is currently traveling the world. He takes the role of protagonist where it explores one of his adventures as a traveler.

The summary reads:

“The Great Ninja War has ended, but to untangle the mystery that remains,Sasuke sets out on a journey-a journey that he hopes will allow him to atone for his sins. During his travels, those ninja faithful to the avenger Sasuke bring about tragedy. Meanwhile danger closes in on the villages of Konoha, Kiri, and Kumo, where red eyes burn with hatred. What is the future Sasuke staresdown?”

Some of the supporting characters of the novel include his teammates Naruto Uzumaki and Sakura Haruno, Sai, Kakashi Hatake, several other Konoha shinobi, his two companions Chino and Nowaki, his former master Orochimaru and Team Taka.

SAKURA HARUNO IN SASUKE SHINDEN:

A few months after the incident on the Moon, Sakura and Naruto questioned the disappearance of several Konoha citizens along with Sai. Shortly after, an explosion near the A-Un gate alerted the trio and they headed to the place with Team 10 following behind them. They found ninja from the Barrier Team fighting the missing Konoha citizen, one of which was a regular customer at the Yamanaka flowershop. Noticing the irregular pattern, Sakura and Shikamaru realized the intruders were Konoha shinobi that had been placed under a genjutsu that forced their bodies to explode upon contact. 

Even though they managed to take one down, it wasn’t an efficient remedy because the foreign chakra inside them would start manifesting inside their bodies if it wasn’t removed, so Aoba Yamashiro tried reading the mind of one of the fallen intruders to find a solution. While delving into their mind, Aoba fell into a genjutsu trap placed inside them. Sakura pointed it out to Ino so she could free him with Mind Body Switch, resulting in both shinobi being exhausted from the effort of dispelling the illusion. Sai sent them to Konoha Hospital to get immediate treatment from Sakura.

In a facility outside Konoha, Sakura was tasked with leading the investigation of the mysterious genjutsu to find a way to remove the foreign chakra from their bodies. She had asked Hinata to use her Byakugan to locate where the foreign chakra was located (even though Sakura has a medical ninjutsu technique to sense chakra inside the body) and test a theory. Using the Byakugan to locate the foreign chakra, Sakura used her medical ninjutsu and managed to find a cure to treat the patients. Now free from any potential genjutsu trap, Aoba read the intruder’s mind for a second time and discovered that they were under the Dark Thunder, a group Sasuke had been after.

Some time later, after clearing the Arena, C, the Raikage's assistant, informed Sasuke that the Konoha medical-ninja were on their way to treat the people affected by Chino’s Ketsuryugan. Sasuke believed Sakura was among those. 

Sakura and her medical team travelled to Kumogakure and Kirigakure and treated everybody that had been affected by the Ketsuryugan. When she returned, Naruto visited her and told her about what Chino had confessed to him about Sasuke. She recalled that the Uchiha Clan used to be Konoha’s Military Police Force and Naruto let Sasuke know that both considered him like the police running after the bad guys.

This novel received an anime adaptation from episodes 484 to 488 in 2017. The adaptation shortened Konoha’s role in the pursuit of the Dark Thunder and Sakura’s scenes as well. The Boruto novels is a project of individual series set after Boruto: Naruto the Movie but disconnected from the plot of Boruto: Naruto Next Generations, so the novels official bear the Naruto seal on them despite being set in their adult era.

The Shinden and Retsuden novels tell the stories of some of the most beloved characters in their adult lives and are all published in chronological order. 

Two of these were adapted by Studio Pierrot.

BORUTO: NARUTO THE MOVIE NOVEL:

Boruto: Naruto the Movie is a novel written by Ukyō Kodachi and illustrated by Masashi Kishimoto published by Jump J Books and edited by VIZ Media: SJ Fiction on August 10th, 2015. The book is the written adaptation of the movie Boruto: Naruto the Movie, written by Masashi Kishimoto in collaboration with Ukyō Kodachi, for the 15th anniversary of Naruto dubbed Naruto Project, where the official Naruto Gaiden and the Boruto era’s databook were released.

Boruto: Naruto the Movie novelization was the first novel to be published about the parent era of Naruto. The story revolved around Boruto Uzumaki, Naruto’s son, who develops a disdain for the Hokage title and makes it his mission to show his powers to his father during the Chūnin Exams. It takes place weeks after the events of Naruto Gaiden.

“The Seventh Hokage, Uzumaki Naruto, runs the Hidden Leaf Village. His son, Boruto, works as a genin with Sarada and Mitsuki everyday. He wants to surpass his father, Naruto, the hero of the village…! Boruto applies to become an apprentice to his father’s friend, Sasuke…?!”

SAKURA UCHIHA IN BORUTO: NARUTO THE MOVIE NOVEL:

The novel isn’t very different from the movie and Sakura’s role doesn’t really differ from that of the movie’s or even the anime’s, but she does get special mentions about her position in the village or her status.

As members of the same team, Sarada maintained a rivalry with Boruto because her dream was to become Hokage. Due to this, Boruto was acclaimed for being the famed Naruto’s son, while Sarada was acclaimed for being the daughter of the famed Sasuke and Sakura, so she couldn’t lose to Boruto. 

Later on, as Boruto expressed his anger that Naruto kept prioritizing his job over his family, he remarked that Sakura was a suitable Hokage replacement. 

When Momoshiki and Kinshiki attacked Konoha, one of the people Sakura saved from the falling piece of debris was Sarada. When Sasuke saved Sarada from another piece of debris, he took her to Sakura along with Mitsuki, telling his wife that the enemies were the same ones he had told her about. Shikamaru also mentioned that Konoha didn’t send more powerful shinobi because some needed to stay in case something happened. Jonin were also in charge of Konoha, with Sakura being one of them.

In the epilogue scene, when Sakura is sitting on the rooftop with Sasuke, it’s mentioned he offered her a smile he showed anyone but his wife.

BORUTO: NARUTO NEXT GENERATIONS:

Boruto: Naruto Next Generations are six novels written by Ukyō Kodachi and Mikio Ikemoto and illustrated by Mikio Ikemoto published by Jump J Books and edited by VIZ Media: SJ Fiction from May 2017 to January 2018. 

Because these books have never had an English adaptation and they haven’t been properly promoted as the rest of Naruto novels, it’s hard to find translations. However, they received anime adaptations from episode 1 to 37 where Sakura makes some appearances.

Konoha Shinden: Steam Ninja Scrolls (木ノ葉新伝 湯煙忍法帖) or Konoha’s Story: Steam Ninja Scrolls is a novel written by Shō Hinata and illustrated by Masashi Kishimoto published by Jump J Books and edited by VIZ Media: SJ Fiction on August 4th, 2016. The book is one of the four novels written for the Naruto Light Novel Project’s Naruto Shinden (2018).

Konoha’s Story was the first novel to be published. It focuses on Mirai Sarutobi, Asuma and Kurenai Sarutobi’s daughter and a chūnin that is currently on a mission escorting the Sixth Hokage and Might Guy. She takes the role of protagonist where it explores some of her adventures. It takes place during the events of Naruto Gaiden and before Boruto: Naruto the Movie.

“A new era in which the Seventh Hokage, Uzumaki Naruto, rules the Hidden Leaf Village. SAKURA UCHIHA IN KONOHA SHINDEN (2018):

The epilogue of Naruto Gaiden is written in the last chapter with Kakashi on the phone with Naruto telling him about Shin Uchiha and Sasuke’s return to Sakura and Sarada.

This novel received an anime adaptation from episodes 106 to 111 in 2019. It also received a manga adaptation from October 2022 to May 2023 in a bi-weekly format. Sakura appears in chapter 14 described as one of the most successful Konoha shinobi.

Naruto Shinden: Parent and Child Day (ナルト新伝 親子の日) or Naruto’s Story: Family Day is a novel written by Mirei Miyamoto and illustrated by Masashi Kishimoto published by Jump J Books and edited by VIZ Media: SJ Fiction on May 2nd, 2018. The book is one of the four novels written for the Naruto Light Novel Project’s Naruto Shinden (2018).

Naruto’s Story was the second novel to be published. It focuses on several parents from Konoha and their lives as family. Each pair is the protagonist of a chapter.

The summary reads:

“To celebrate Family Day, Konohagakure village's new holiday, Naruto and his daughter Himawari are on the hunt for an elusive must-have item. Hinata wants to make the day memorable for her family, Hiashi, Hanabi and Boruto. Even Sasuke makes special time with his daughter Sarada and his wife Sakura! At the end of the day, will Family Day be a success?”

SAKURA UCHIHA IN NARUTO SHINDEN:

As Sasuke arrived in Konoha to visit his family, the house that Sakura told him she had built for the family was gone. Sarada found him looking at the materials left while the house was in the process of being rebuilt, and reminded him of the temporary apartment they were occupying where they had enjoyed dinner after defeating Shin Uchiha. On their way, Sarada told Sasuke about the new Parent and Child Day.

As Sasuke struggled to please his daughter’s wishes, he arrived home to his wife. Sakura offered him tea and to cut his hair. She could tell that Sasuke was frustrated after a failed holiday spent with his daughter even though Sasuke didn’t offer any details about it. To encourage him, Sakura recommended him to act naturally with Sarada, as she doesn’t really know Sasuke from everyday life, but admired him nonetheless because he was a special shinobi stronger and cooler than other fathers in Konoha. Sakura compared their father-daughter relationship with Sasuke’s desire to spend time with his own father, Fugaku, when he was young. Sasuke also learned from his wife that their daughter dreamt of becoming Hokage.

This novel received an anime adaptation from episodes 93 to 95 in 2019. Sakura’s scenes don’t differ much from the novel except some dialogues and situations such as Sasuke’s haircut.

The book is one of the four novels written for the Naruto Light Novel Project’s Naruto Shinden (2018).

Naruto’s Story was the third novel to be published. Sasuke Uchiha, former Team 7 member and patriarch of the Uchiha Clan and Konoha’s Supporting Hokage that is currently replacing Konohamaru as the new Team 7 leader. He takes the role of protagonist where it explores his new role as a sensei.

SAKURA UCHIHA IN SASUKE SHINDEN (2018):

When Sarada worried that her father might leave on a mission abruptly, Sasuke reassured her that he talks a lot with Sakura late at night so she’s informed of all his missions.

Later on, Lily Himeno, a famous idol from the Land of Fire, recognized Sarada to be Sakura Haruno’s daughter, who is famed for being a student of the Fifth Hokage.

Just as Sasuke was preparing to leave on another mission, Sarada teased him saying he had lipstick on his mouth. Sasuke cleaned the area to find it clean, and Sarada reminded him that Sakura didn’t wear lipstick.

Naruto Retsuden (NARUTO -ナルト- 烈伝) is a trilogy released in 2019. The project has three different novels released between June and October of 2019 written by Jun Esaka. The time chosen for the stories lies after Boruto: Naruto the Movie.

It contains: Kakashi Retsuden, Sasuke Retsuden and Naruto Retsuden, all published in chronological order. 

One of these was adapted by Studio Pierrot.

Kakashi Retsuden was the first novel to be published. It focuses on Kakashi Hatake, the Sixth Hokage, who now retired, assumes his role as a bridge between Konoha and the Land of Redaku to discover information about the Sage of the Sixth Paths. He takes the role of protagonist where he goes on a long term mission during his resting days.

The summary reads:

“When Kakashi sets off on a mission to the lush land of Redaku, he encounters its people suffering from a severe drought. The prince of Redaku can bring water to the land, but he has left his royal home for another village. While researching in palace’s library, Kakashi found a book that could contain clues about the Sage of the Sixth Paths and sent it to Konoha for studying. He said that if they used Sakura or Shikamaru’s help they would be able to decipher the contents.

SASUKE RETSUDEN:

Sasuke Retsuden: The Uchiha Descendants and the Heavenly Stardust (サスケ烈伝　うちはの末裔と天球の星屑) or Sasuke Retsuden: The Uchiha and the Heavenly Stardust is a novel written by Jun Esaka and illustrated by Masashi Kishimoto published by Jump J Books and edited by VIZ Media: SJ Fiction on August 2nd, 2019. 

Sasuke Retsuden was the second novel to be published. It focuses on Sasuke and Sakura Uchiha, the strongest married couple of Konoha who embark on a long term mission together in the Land of Redaku to discover information about the Sage of the Sixth Paths. They take the role of protagonist where they investigate the Astronomy Research Institute and defeat its leader.

The summary reads:

“Uchiha Sasuke heads for an astronomical observatory, far from the Land of Fire. There, he syncs up with Sakura, and together they dive into an undercover investigation in search of traces of the Sage of Six Paths! They discover a plan that goes beyond life and death, and a battle that will test this husband-and-wife team till death do they part.”

Some of the supporting characters of the novel include Zansul, Jiji, Ganno, Penjira, Menō, Fandal, Shikamaru Nara and Kakashi Hatake.

SAKURA UCHIHA IN SASUKE RETSUDEN:

Because this is Sakura’s novel, she appears throughout it and all the plot points are centered around her, so rather than giving a summary of her role in the story, I’ll try to explain some of the most important aspects. 

After deciding she would also travel to the Land of Redaku, Sakura saved Sasuke from Menō, the prison’s guard lizard, whose claws were laced with some mysterious potent poison that Sasuke couldn’t resist. When Sasuke woke up, Sakura informed him that she infiltrated the Astronomy Research Institute as its new doctor to aid him in his mission, much to Sasuke’s persistence that she returned home ahead of the dangerous task. During the mission, both needed to hide their marital status from the staff and prisoners, although they told Jiji, one of Sasuke’s cellmates.

Sakura decided to look for more information about the polar particles in the archives using Penjira’s love for gambling to obtain the key to the basement. Initially, Sasuke wanted to use genjutsu on Penjira, but Sakura stopped him, using her intellect and memory to force each round of Hoshinarabe into a draw and exhausting her rival, which earns her the key. On their way to the basement, Sasuke crafted a ring made from his own chakra to lure men away and Sakura used a sensory jutsu to search for traps and map the area, and she found a secret room accessible from Zansul’s office. Among the archives, they found the map that would lead them to the polar particles, a map drawn by Hagoromo Ōtsutsuki himself containing images of animals similar to Hoshinarabe. Sakura compared them to an astronomical map and took the it to her office to decipher the code behind the illustrations.

The following day, Sasuke told Sakura that the animals from the map were the Tailed Beasts. In turn, she managed to sneak into Zansul’s office to discover he had an appointment with a messenger from Redaku’s Prime Minister. When Sakura escorted the messenger, she knocked him down and used transformation jutsu to impersonate him, while Sasuke transformed into his cane. Once inside, Sakura stalls Zansul long enough for Sasuke to gather clues inside his secret room. He found chickens inside.

Days later, after receiving a message from Kakashi informing of Nagare village, Sakura rushed to tell Sasuke but started a conversation with Ganno instead, who, upon seeing her ring, guessed Sasuke was her husband by the brief description she had made of him and Sasuke’s longing for the plum blossoms to bloom. When they finally met, Sakura informed Sasuke that the animals also represented hand seals and could be the clue to obtaining the polar particles. At the lake, Sakura and Sasuke have a private conversation about their relationship and their family. Then, after Sakura successfully used the hand seals to reveal the polar particles, an explosion took place in the prison and dragons invaded the place. 

Sakura rushed to the prison to evacuate the prisoners and on her way she’s stabbed by Jiji using Menō’s secret poison, revealing his collaboration with Zansul in the process. Unable to move or knead chakra, she was trapped under the rubble after the prison collapsed. Sasuke found Sakura using the chakra from her ring and removed the poison from her body, and then she resumed fighting the dragons to buy time for the prisoners to escape. Jiji arrived at Sakura's location and she lured him to a trap she had prepared. Jiji confesses that he wanted to use Edo Tensei to revive his lover, Margo, who had died back in Redaku; however, Margo was alive. One of the last dragons moved to attack Sakura but Jiji took the blow for her, and he’s later healed by Sakura.

Back in Konoha with the polar particles, Sakura met Ino for tea after a successful long mission. They spoke about their families until Ino noticed the ring on Sakura’s finger. Ino comments about how Sakura will always remain a girl in love even after years of marriage. Back home, Sarada cooked dinner for the family. Shikamaru rang the bell and brought some reports about the polar particles and Zansul’s immune eyes. Both agreed that they would make progress about Naruto’s condition. 

This novel received an anime adaptation from episodes 282 to 286 in 2023. The adaptation shortened many details from the novel and Sakura’s scenes as well. It also received a manga adaptation from October 2022 to April 2023 in a bi-weekly format. The manga is a perfect way to enjoy the details of the novel without major changes.

Naruto Retsuden: Naruto Uzumaki and the Spiral Destiny (ナルト烈伝　うずまきナルトと螺旋の天命) or Naruto Retsuden: Naruto Uzumaki and the Spiral Destiny is a novel written by Jun Esaka and illustrated by Masashi Kishimoto published by Jump J Books and edited by VIZ Media: SJ Fiction on October 4th, 2019.

This novel is the bridge between Kakashi Retsuden and Sasuke Retsuden. 

Naruto Retsuden was the third novel to be published. It focuses on Naruto Uzumaki, the Seventh Hokage and jinchūriki of the Nine Tails currently suffering from an unknown disease that blocks his chakra pathway system. They take the role of protagonist where it explores Naruto’s life inside Konoha and his frustrations.

The summary reads:

“When Naruto is no longer able to use chakra, the shinobi of Konoha come together to help him. Even Orochimaru offers to assist with scientific ninja tools. While directing the people around him with all the dynamic ferocity of a mighty whirlpool, Naruto stands tall, facing this trial with an unbreakable spirit!”

Some of the supporting characters of the novel include Sasuke Uchiha, Sakura Uchiha, Shikamaru Nara and Kakashi Hatake, Orochimaru, Hinata Uzumaki, Yamato, Ino Yamanaka and Chōji Akimichi, Chihare Amano, Furie Kanhen and other Konoha shinobi.

SAKURA UCHIHA IN NARUTO RETSUDEN:

In the Land of Stairs, Sakura became part of Naruto’s Hokage Guard Team along with the rest of Team 7 and Shikamaru. She took down one of the clones made by Yanaru Aze, an assassin hired to kill Naruto. 

Some time later, Naruto began complaining about his inability to knead chakra and sudden dizziness. He met in a secret location provided by a close friend of Sakura, Tami, whom she had saved during Pain’s attack, with his teammates and Shikamaru. They all agreed to follow Kurama’s guidance to investigate Hagomoro Ōtsutsuki’s whereabouts in the Land of Redaku much to Naruto’s opposition, who considered that the most important people of Konoha shouldn’t interfere in his personal affairs. After Kakashi and Sasuke left for Redaku, Sakura found Naruto passed out on the Hokage Rock and informed him that she had made an accurate diagnosis after studying his medical analysis. Sakura then decided to follow Sasuke to Redaku. 

After Kakashi and the Uchiha’s long term missions, the polar particles that Sakura and Sasuke obtained from the Astronomy Research Institute had been destroyed by Naruto. Back in their secret location, the pillars and Chihare discussed a way to reach the celestial body to access the other half of the polar particles. In order to reach it, Team 7 would need to climb up a pillar and open the meteorite. 

The next day, Sakura picked Naruto up riding the motorbike they would use to climb the pillar. Sakura would be in charge of maintaining the team on track with her chakra control. During their ascent, they encountered some stormy clouds and the men became separated from the pillar for a brief moment while hanging by a kunai attached to the road, Naruto worried that Sakura might have been knocked out, but Sasuke reassured him that she would be back soon, and in that moment Sakura picked them up and went back on track. Unfortunately, Team 7 made it to the celestial body too late, so Sasuke had to sacrifice himself to destroy it in order to free the particles. Sakura kissed Sasuke and threw the headband hanging on Sasuke’s coat to use Amenotejikara. 

On their way down, Gaara and Kurotsuchi aided Yamato and Kakashi with their rock pillar. Several pieces of it started falling over Konoha, but Temari blew them away with her Folding Fan. Tenten, Rock Lee, Kiba, Karui and Kankuro also joined Temari. 

Several days later, Sakura watched the fireworks from the recent festival while drinking with Sasuke, Naruto and Kakashi.

What if daemons could be "normal" somehow? I just randomly thought of chaos daemons doing good things that fit them, and it's probably gonna go on my long list of shit I wanna draw.

Chaos Trying To Be Good AU

A bloodletter being a surgeon, and dedicating every drop spilled in the act of saving a life to khorne. Since he's honed his blade (the scalpel) he's known as the best surgeon in the world, making it high demand for him to do ANY surgery, no matter the risk. He has spilled more blood than any other daemon, despite not being on the battlefield often, and dedicated the skulls of organ donors with the highest respect in his own dark heart. Also GREAT advocate for patients, because he will threaten insurance companies and incompetent doctors with being a more traditional sacrifice to khorne. Using his rage to protect the health of his patients rather than destroy. He never gets stronger or any blessings from khorne due to his small but consistent sacrifices, but he does get praise from patients, and letters up until their deaths. He keeps track of the letters, and gives him a pat on the back when they stop at either a reasonable or surprisingly long number of years.

A Changer of Ways, that's a special ED teacher and tutor. Never once using the same way of education twice for each of his students. Manipulating fate to make sure his students get 100% for all their homework and tests. But he never let's his students cheat, always making sure they understand the material, even if they understand it at a different angle. All his students love and respect him more than any cultist he's worked with in the past, and he has entire tomes dedicated to his students art of him, with their pictures on one page and descriptions, his positive opinions, and various ramblings about the young artist on various other pages. When the mortal children reach adulthood, they are able to excel in whatever field they desire, even when their new teachers at college teach them differently than their beloved teacher Mr. Bird, because they merely study their own way and succeed no matter how their professors look at them. So many people say the children who become his students won't ever succeed in life for being "lazy" or physically unable to do their work. He teaches, not just for the love of the kids, but because he thinks it would be really fucking funny for these kids to succeed anyways.

A great unclean one whose a heretic, seeing past his warped view, and seeing how much mortals actually hate disease. While he doesn't understand why mortals don't want the grandfather's love, he actively finds different ways to share it, becoming an anthropologist to fully understand mankind. He runs experiments every now and again, to see what mortals truly willingly receive, and what they give into because of having no other choice. He spent years growing various types of fungus in random places to gauge and write down mortal reactions. Do they collect it to eat? Do they just kick it away in disgust, or with glee? Do they avoid it at all costs? Do they destroy it? It narrows down the species of mushrooms drastically, limiting the "love" he can show through decay, but at least the mortals are feeling the love now. He studies the reactions of humans during plagues caused by his brothers, and starts smaller epidemics of his own, being extremely controlled with how he infects his subjects. He learns while mortals technically NEED plagues, they don't want them all the time, so he starts epidemics in moderation. Making weaker brights and pox to study over the next several weeks, accidentally making mortals more resilient against plagues, which is something they WANT. While all daemons of nurgle "love" all life, this one Unclean One truly loves humanity, and loves them how they need.

A group of daemonettes who work in rehab to try and get mortals to overdo it, only to take great satisfaction in actually helping. They're the only ones who actually do the job right, and treat the people there as people. I could see them in the hospital with the bloodletter, under silent truce of "You don't fuck with MY job, or MY patients, we're fine." They relish in the torment silently whenever their patients are freaking out from withdrawals, then bask in the praise when their patients make a full recovery. They give "false comfort" to their patients when in reality its more comforting than an actual doctor or therapist, because they ironically don't demonize the addicts, since they themselves 100% have had worse.

Maybe he could also get into farming, making plagues to invasive insects so farmers don't need pesticides, or he could help food rot faster to make fertilizer. Hell, he could make his own manure, watching what he eats and doing that one attack on a field to spread it around.

Or maybe instead of working in rehab, they could clean houses for free, restoring the simple luxuries, before giving their clients excessive gifts to keep them on their feet. Food in their clean fridges, expensive shampoos and cleaning products, beautiful decorations, and whatever else their client needs. Hell, maybe these could be daemonette groups that work together, restoring the homes of ex-addicts so they have some place more than just livable to return to.

It's fun thinking of chaos daemons doing "good" on purpose, both in the sense they would never logically do that, but also the stank eyes they would probably get from more traditional daemons.

dunno how to fully articulate this 'cause i don't have any art yet, but. to me, Rainer, Marvin, and Paul are like. same guy/general traits, but Different Fonts.

so let me explain it this way:

traits they all share (and how they differ):

same general hair/eye color: brown hair and chocolate brown eyes (Rainer's hair is the lightest, and so is his eye color. Marvin's hair color is almost the same as Paul's, just slightly darker, and his eye color is slightly darker than Rainer's. Paul used to be Care, so take that as you will for what his hair looks like, and his eyes are Extremely dark and almost look black, unless the light hits them)

generally the same face shape (with the exception of Paul, whose face is somewhat Rounder. it's the best way i can describe it)

freckles and/or "beauty marks" (Rainer has a couple of BM on his face, one on the left side of his upper lip and another underneath his right eye. Marvin has freckles and a BM on the left side of his nose. Paul has a Lot of freckles and a BM on the right side of his nose, as well as a BM on his left cheek)

glasses (Rainer has square/rectangular glasses, Marvin has those glasses that like stereotypical librarians are given in cartoons. you know what i'm talking about?? he has those fancy glasses. Paul's glasses are some sort of rounder-framed kinda glasses. not sure if they're Circular or just Rounded)

generally have Longer Hairstyles (Marvin's hair is shoulder length. Rainer and Paul have hair that goes halfway down their backs, but Paul keeps his tied in a ponytail)

WHEN CLEAN, their hair is like. fluffy and soft (Rainer was kinda. Going Through It towards the end of his life, so take this as you will. Marvin generally kept himself pretty clean. and with Paul it's a coin toss)

things that are specific to each of them:

Rainer had real fucked up legs from getting hit by a car in his early teen years (unfortunately, this was not the Last time he would be hit by a car). i think i saw a design once that gave him a fucked up leg like Toneth. mine's kinda similar to that sort of idea: his left leg is never fully straightened out. he kinda Can't straighten it anymore. he can get Close to fully straightening it out, but it doesn't. do that. he uses crutches to get around most of the time.

Marvin and Rainer have similar body shapes (Tall 'n Lanky) and are Around the same height (Marvin is 6'4" and Rainer is 6'0" exactly), but Rainer gives off more "Sad Wet Cat" vibes (and has bad posture), while Marvin is more "Average Older Guy Who Gives Off...Off Vibes." Paul, on the other hand, i based on myself appearance wise: Short(er) and Round, if that gives you an idea. (i made him my height: 5'6"). his vibes are more "Awkward Trans Gamer Who Needs Therapy" (which is just his entire character in Petscop, i'm well aware)

Paul, while he does share some features with his dad, mostly has features that look similar to Lina's (eyes, nose, etc.)

Rainer had more average(??? idk how to explain) eyebrows, Marvin had thicker eyebrows, and Paul has very faint, thin eyebrows.

^ to go along with this, Lina technically also grows very thin eyebrows like Paul does, she just has a habit of picking at them and pulling them out (Marvin's The Reason Paul Didn't Grow Eyebrows As A Kid. Paul Didn't Pick At 'Em Like Lina Does. Paul does, however, pick at his acne).

and now, misc. fun facts!!

both Rainer and Paul hate the fact that, to some degree, they look like Marvin (especially Rainer, who is definitely closer in appearance to him due to height and body shape). they have different reasons for why they hate it, though (Rainer just hates that fucker in general, while Paul has his whole thing of feeling Fear and Dread when he looks in the mirror on his Worse Days, but for the longest time being unable to explain Why).

on the other hand, on Paul's Better Days, he looks in the mirror and thinks "huh...i guess i Do look like Lina's son :]" and feels happy and warm instead of All-Consuming Dread.

Marvin one time, in-game, called Paul ugly, and it caused Paul to have the WORST fucking flashback. his avatar in game (the Guardian guy) just stood there frozen while he kinda had a breakdown and Belle (who was Also there just kinda also stood still because she was on the phone with Paul IRL) just gave Marvin a response that summed up to "WTF You Can't Just Say That." the Really fucked up bit? Marvin Definitely knew who Paul was at that point. he knew the weight THAT sort of statement held.

The face of "@IncelsCO"

Please, if you are sensitive and deal with mental health issues, avoid reading this post.

So, I have been away for a while, yet still engaging more and more with incel and BP types.

Most of them are what the public understand for incel: resentful, bitter, little whiny losers that hate themselves and the world, that dehumanize women and promote/defend a toxic ideology.

They are also clearly mentally and socially impaired, unaware of proper manners, any sense of logic or abstraction, and a paranoid attitude rooted in their high sense of victimhood and moral elitism.

They seem unable to properly engage with what is being told, and assume that anything that sounds a little bit contrarian to their beliefs is "Bluepilled", a lie or "gaslighting". The most articulated ones give the appearance of being able to understand, but they quickly lash out if you question something they see as key in their own identities.

I have discussed with some people these type of agents in the incelosphere, and contrary to the popular opinion, I see more danger in the apparently smart ones than the stupid ones. They are decent with words and numbers, changing the goalpost, making a case on how they are right and anything that sounds critical is just hateful and prejudice. They are the ones who have crafted and perpetuated their ideology, yet they are the first ones in trying to deny any link between the blackpill and "incel" as a label, arguing that "incel" just means "involuntary celibacy" (circular reasoning) and anyone who goes beyond that is "retarded". Yet, they don't lift an eyebrow towards people who adopt the incel label not out of being lonely, but by agreeing with the ideology.

Aside from that, one figure that is always present and trying to farm engagement on social media is IncelsCo. It constantly post under accounts that argue incel rethoric or posts that expose gendered dynamics from an anti-feminist perspective.

But who is IncelsCo?

One might think that is just an account ran by the main moderators of an innocent forum composed by "just lonely" adult men that try to cope by sharing the hardships of their mutual misery. That's the most reasonable idea, but reality seems to be much darker than that.

The main head behind IncelsCo has been exposed publicly in the past, but not for reasons related to incels or a kind of incel attack.

On 2019 different mediums reported a woman's death by suicide which was linked to a suicide forum. For that reason, one of the moderators of such forum communicated with BuzzFeedNews and declared:

“Yes, I am an incel,” “Marquis” — a cofounder of the suicide and incel forums who says he is 25 and from Virginia — told BuzzFeed News. He claims the online spaces are dedicated to “helping people.” Marquis said that he managed the forums “like a business” — bringing in very modest revenue — dealing with issues like servers and finances.

"Marquis" identity remained unknown, until December of 2021, when The New York Times published an article titled "Where the despair Log On, and find ways to die". There, different suicide cases (some done by minors) were reported, and they were linked to the same suicide forum.

His real name is Lamarcus Small, who lives in Huntsville, Alabama. This is how he looks:

There's like this drive. We'll call it Chestnut drive.

Just a typical neighbourhood street.

And on the last house, there's a married couple.

The husband, is like some super scary, really cold guy. He hates the world except for maybe his own wife. And he's a monster too- *ahem he was a thug back in his school days* But he is a handsome fucker.

And then you got the wife. Who's really nice, and never has any problems. Honestly, she's the one usually having to hide her husband's crimes.

Enter MC, who's a single person, getting the first ever house. Which ended up being right next to theirs. Everybody else doesn't go near their house, because of the husband. And yet, MC is totally clueless and ends up watching their feral dog in their yard.

The wife notices first, and strikes up conversation. She's eager to have someone new to talk to. She bakes desserts sometimes, and constantly tries to offer them to MC.

Guess who she gushes all about MC to? That's right- her husband. At first he's like creeped out and even a little jealous. But after watching you through your living room window a few nights a week, he’s realized why she’s so intrigued.

He finds MC so cute, all alone in their house. With no one but themselves really. Maybe the occasional friend over. In a way, he starts to grow protective of them, just like how he is with his wife.

Their conversations at dinner went from a bit mundane to just simply rambling about you. Wondering which bedroom you should take, or if they should expand theirs completely.

Soon they invite you over to their house often. Just for the occasional meal or tea. Even showcasing their feral dog. (Tiny dog may I add)

MC doesn’t notice, but soon the couple’s house has little things that they like. If they like art? A few paint tubes or high-end coloured are thrown around the house. If they like music? Wow- they suddenly got a Steinway grand piano for them to play around with.

The husband is constantly checking if MC’s ok. Making sure they dress properly for the weather before they go back to their house. In any extreme weather conditions (blizzard, hurricane, rain- a shit ton of rain) he’ll just show up to their house with groceries.

The wife seems to love giving little cheek kisses and hugs. Always finding ways to present her cooking. She likes buying the occasional clothing item for them. Just something she thought would look quite fitting on them.

It’s all too late at some point, because the husband will haul them over his shoulder if they try to run away. He’ll carry them to their now big bedroom, enough for 3 people to share.

He’ll beat up anyone that tries looking for them. He doesn’t have those muscles for nothing.

The wife is just so happy to have MC in their bedroom. Giving snuggles and lots of coos of affection.

And with a kiss goodnight from both of them, MC finds themselves sandwiched between the two. Unable to move from the husband’s arms, or push off the wife who’s laying on top of them.

MC should just consider themselves as newly-wedded to this strange but surprisingly…functional couple.

Ideas for the version of Miraak I've made for BG3 / Forgotten Realms, that isn't just TES-him-in-that-universe:

Appears human but is definitely far, far older than he should be.

He was once the Exarch of Tiamat as well as the High Priest of a large cult devoted to her. I say once because he turned on her. Naturally that means she now despises him (and is always trying to kill him) so he's on terrible terms with her worshippers. In the modern age, those who worship Tiamat (and other chromatic dragons) will know Miraak as The Betrayer.

He's a sorcerer with a powerful draconic bloodline, not connected to just any dragon but, supposedly, Asgorath himself. There are many who doubt these claims, but they are less quick to doubt when they witness Miraak rip a dragon's soul out of its body and "devour it". Whatever the truth is, he clearly boasts an inordinately powerful source of magic.

Also a warlock, his pact being with Hermaeus Mora (@eyehunger's ulitharid mora specifically), the same being he betrayed Tiamat for. Adding insult to injury (for Tiamat), he is Hermaeus Mora's new Exarch.

Was able to utilize his new master's powers in order to "lock" that which he learned from Tiamat, leaving her unable to take what she had once given.

Many of those in Miraak's personal order are also dragons. His right-hand (and steed) is Sahrotaar, a dracolich that could either pass for a deep dragon or a blue dragon. Comparatively few dragons choose to bind themselves to him, however, as doing so is to spurn Tiamat and earn her ire.

Most of the dragon-related-fury going Miraak's way is designated to chromatic dragons. Metallic dragons don't feel nearly as hateful for him, if they do at all, as he largely leaves them be if they leave him be. Most of the strife is with the chromatics, and the metallics largely don't have an interest in picking fights with him. They do keep a distance, as they know he remains a huge threat regardless.

A lot of demons also hate Miraak, especially the ones sharing Tiamat's plane, because Tiamat will make him their issue too. They want Miraak dead solely to get Tiamat to shut the fuck up.

Some food for thought: I am an a Dany fan who supports a very nuanced reading of her that makes most other Dany fans accuse me of secretly hating her (lol) and I also do ship her with Jon because she’s had horrendous experiences with creepy older men and I would find it cathartic for her to find love with someone her age.

BUT I don’t like the idea of them just being king and queen and having a standard fantasy romance. I think there’s a distinction between Dany fans who love Dany the character and Dany fans who love Dany the ruler, Dany the queen, Dany the perfect chosen one. In fact the only way I’d actually want to see J/D played out in the books is them escaping the narrative together and fucking off somewhere (which, regardless of Jon’s involvement, is also the only realistic happy ending I can imagine Dany having that would be a satisfying end to her arc for me). To me it’s clear that Dany does not enjoy ruling and doesn’t genuinely want the throne—she wants the feeling of home and to be loved. I think she’s chasing the throne because she sees it as duty, both a familiar duty as taught by her brother and a divine duty as evidenced by hatching the dragons. I can see a world where she’s able to accept that she hates ruling because violence sickens her deep down (evidenced by her feeling sick recalling the crucifixions and having to convince herself it was just) but being unable to tolerate the moral compromises she must make to avoid violent solutions and thus can carve out a new path, eliminating the sense of threat because she’d be “free.”

However I’m not sure I would’ve considered the ship if not for the show (not that it was at all good in the show but it planted the idea) and I don’t agree with other fans of the ship that it’s undeniably foreshadowed in the books. So I just don’t really engage with ship content because I don’t jive with most of it. Especially because many of the fans get hostile about the fact that I also have positive feelings about Jonsa, although I’m just as picky about what kind of Jonsa I like, haha. Such a bizarre and frustrating experience. Luckily, most Sansa and Jonsa fans don’t mind that Dany is my favorite and that I also like J/D, but the same can’t be said for other Dany and J/D fans when they see I also love Sansa and Jonsa.

This is an amazing breakdown of Dany's character! 100% agree with the Dany ending up as Queen of the 7K being a bad ending for her. It just seems like a miserable job to have. Dany has had it ingrained since birth that the Targs must reclaim the IT at any cost and only then will their lives get better. The trauma Viserys inflicted on her has definitely left her clinging to that dream as motivation to keep going, which is the saddest part. She wants the IT, but she really just needs a home where she feels safe and loved (and far far away from the creepy men plaguing her chapters). My only real objection to J/D is I can't picture Jon leaving the North, but they do share a ton of parallels, and I can see why so many people love the ship. And since pretty much every big fan ship doesn't have anything more than possible parallels and foreshadowing, it's really anyone's guess at this point. And Jon is also one of only three dudes in the series (Sam/Gendry) who is nice and of an appropriate age to be shipped with most of the main female characters, so it makes sense both Sansa and Dany fans would want our faves to end up with him lol. I also can't really blame J/D fans for not liking Jonsa, when most Jonsas think Dany will have a villain arc. Like yeah there's bound to be some animosity, but it got way worse after the show since it kinda confirmed there was a decent chance Dany might die in the books. Ultimately the fandom is gonna continue to be at each other's throats until we get answers in twow/ados. Weird fandom indeed.

Unpopular opinion here but we should all just chill. It is not good to post that question but the level of panic and accusation is out of proportion imo.

AO3 has been around more than a decade (and probably be older than some of us). RPS is so huge that literally any celebrities have been shipped. It was hardly the first time AO3 was mentioned to a celebrity.

Honestly I dont think straight guys care about fandom. Even if someone tells them at their faces about AO3, they may find it weird and forget about it five minutes later. They are more interested in checking out hot chicks’ instagram or making dirty jokes with their mates, than searching fan fic featuring him with another guy.

And more importantly, those F1 admins are well aware of fandom and highly likely have tumblr/AO3 account (come on how many times they mentioned lestappen?) It is not new information to them that AO3 exists. If they have not mentioned fan fic to the drivers before, I dont see any reason they would mention it just because of that one comment.

Do I think fandom should keep among ourselves and not bring it in front of the real persons? Yes

Do i think we should all be in panic mode and police other people? Not really

I personally don't agree that we "should all just chill" at all, and the reason for this is that I have personally - as have so many other people - seen this go wrong so many times in the past with different fandoms. If certain (loud) people in the fandom are unable or unwilling to respect the boundaries between real people and the fandom, then this can cause serious issues for the fandom in general, and the real people involved.

Not only that, not shoving these parts of fandom down the throats of the real people involved is simply just a matter of respect. These guys, straight or not, probably have no interest whatsoever in reading about or seeing things that involve them doing weird shit to their friends or colleagues. And therefore, nobody should try to make them get involved with these types of things. If they are interested in or curious about these things, they'll go looking for things themselves, without needing the involvement of fans.

Imagine you had someone try to force you to watch or read porn involving yourself and someone else you definitely have no romantic or sexual feelings for whatsoever. Or somebody trying to force you into engaging with a kink that you have serious issues with and makes you incredibly uncomfortable just to think about. Now, I'm a pretty easygoing person and would personally find it hilarious if somebody wrote explicit fanfictions about myself and one of my friends. But I'm also very much aware of the fact that that's just me. But then on the other hand, I also get seriously uncomfortable with certain tropes or kinks for different reasons, and if somebody pestered me about those things? I would fucking hate it.

We have no idea about these drivers' sexualities, what their boundaries are, or what they can or cannot stand, and therefore, we should all respect the boundaries between fandom and the real people involved, and do what we can to keep these things separate.

Although I definitely agree with you about not thinking the drivers caring about those parts of fandom now, if the people who are unable or unwilling to understand the importance of boundaries keep being insufferable and loud about it, which too many people are being on social media already, then there is a serious risk that not only are they going to start caring, but they're going to start feeling uncomfortable with it all and let it impact the way they're acting around other drivers. Despite the fact that I don't think we're anywhere near that point yet, if people don't stop doing what they're doing and stop trying to shove those parts of fandom into the real people's faces, then there is a serious risk that we will end up reaching that point. And it's not going to be fun for anyone.

It's happened before, several times, and it can definitely happen again. And it always starts with what we're seeing in the F1 fandom right now.

It's not about "policing other people" at all, it's about trying to get those people in the fandom to understand why what they're doing is a bad idea, and why it's disrespecting boundaries that should be respected at all times. The majority of these fans are likely quite young and new to fandom in general, and I do believe it's a good idea that they get told, in no uncertain terms, that what they're doing can potentially cause some serious issues and personally impact the people they're fans of in a negative way, and why they shouldn't be doing it. Honestly, it's the only way they're going to learn. Hell, it's the only way any of us learned.

We've all been new to fandom at some point, and doing and saying things without thinking about the potential future impact in the beginning is definitely not an uncommon thing.

So I think the response we've seen to these comments on RBR's recent Tiktok video is absolutely justified, because there are so many of us who have seen it go so very, very wrong in the past, and we don't want to see it go this wrong again.

Thinking about where Pluto went after discovering what Monty has done to his best friend. The way this asshole threw away the few belongings Duke has taken into death, like he has never – not even for a second – seen the magician as a human being. Who deserved respect. Dignity. And was now trapped somewhere, out of the black-haired boy’s reach.

Pluto was unable to get to his friend. All of the efforts he could put on would always be useless. He was defeated. Confronted to Montresor’s absolute hatred of others. Something he could never even fight.

And he has nowhere to hide either, because even his room was shared with one of Annabel’s arrogant little puppets. Where could he go now that his best friend was surely doomed to die again while he was standing there, a weak, helpless, wandering soul, his sore eye bringing up to his mind fuzzy, almost unintelligible words from a past he wish he could forget when he barely remembered it.

His sight was blurry, he was barely able to see the corridors he walked in. It took him far longer than it normally would, before he was finally knocking at your door. He realized only after that he has no idea what to tell you. But it was too late; before he could turn back and hobble away, your door opened, and the abstract form of a face was in front of him.

“Pluto?”

He wouldn’t have been able to recognize you if it wasn’t for your voice. Your tone was laced with a surprise and concern he couldn’t see on your face, but still made his heart tighten. You were worried for him.

What a pathetic thing.

His physical state was probably pitiful enough to give away how beaten up, broken and exhausted he felt, and he hated it. For a second, Pluto would have preferred you to be the one deprived from sight, so he wouldn’t have to be feeling your troubled gaze piercing him. He held himself tighter, and tried to give you a wobbly smile in reassurance.

“H-h-hi…!” he mumbled, and his voice came out so much more broken than he meant it to. He looked down, body trembling, humiliated and wishing he could vaporise in the air rather than stay here.

Right now was too much, he couldn’t handle any more of it. He was going to crumble down any minute.

“Can I… C-Can I come in please?” was all he could stutter out through a tight throat. The mere thought of his breathing being restricted sending alarms in his brain that only succeed in making him panic more.

“Y-yeah of course!”

You sounded shocked, almost. More than just concerned by this point. But he couldn’t even see clearly and your voice was the last thing he could anchor himself to. So he would take it.

The door opened wider and Pluto practically burst into your room before his legs could get a chance to give up on him. Resting his back against the wall next to you, he let himself slide down until he sat on the floor. Legs bent and arms wrapped around them. His head down, forehead pressed against his knees, face hidden in his small, curled up form.

He couldn’t breath. No matter how much he tried, oxygen went in and out of his lungs chaotically, too fast, occasionally missing and choking him up even more as he tried and tried and tried but his efforts were vain and he couldn’t do anything couldn’t think clearly couldn’t stop choking couldn’t stop wishing for it to stop just stop.

Thoughts were swirling in his head so fast he couldn’t catch up on them, the feeling of being small and helpless and in danger at the forefront of his mind, and a distant voice telling him Duke was surely dead and he would probably follow soon enough along with the others and everyone else who wasn’t cruel enough because they were doomed they had been since the moment they had all passed those gates when this unfair wicked stupid painful game has started and now he wanted to get out he just wanted it to stop all he has ever asked for was something to live for a hope for a better future for someone to tell him he would be okay in the end for the world to be brighter he wished it could stop he just wanted-

“Pluto.”

His head shot up and he looked at your figure, barely distinguishable in the blur of nonsensical colours. He hasn’t registered you had kneeled down to his level. Or that you’d been calling him. Or that he has been crying.

“Pluto, can you see me?”

He opened his mouth to answer you, but not even a sound could go past the lump in his throat. So he closed it and shook his head no.

“Okay… Okay.” Your voice sounded like a headlight in the middle of a storm for the shaking mess he was.

“Is it alright if I touch you?”

He didn’t respond right away. Not because he had to think about the answer, but because he struggled to make sense of your distant words, in the chaos howling inside his skull.

Ultimately, he nodded with a slight hesitation.

You didn’t need any more confirmation. Your form moved closer to him, before Pluto felt the palm of your hands on his shoulders gently pulling him forward, until he sat on his knees and his head laid against your chest.

The moment he felt you arms cradle him in a warm embrace, he let out a small, choked up sob. Like a sort of tension has just been released from his body. Before his hands found purchase in the back of your shirt and he almost mechanically clung to you. As if you were a lifeline. Or something warmer. Perhaps a safe haven. A place where he could rest.

His face buried into your chest, he could hear your breathing. Calm. Tranquil. The kind words you were repeating to him like a mantra created a constant melody he could feel behind your ribcage; and he finally allowed himself to get lost into your soothing presence.

Tense muscles relaxed, loosening his tight grip on you. The shaking of his body finally finally subsiding while his breathing calmed down enough to let him get the oxygen he so desperately needed.

The debilitating fog of constant anxious thoughts clouding his brain replaced by you. Your warmth. Your voice. Your kindness. Your fingers running through his hair.

Oh, this was heaven.

He wished he could simply never open his eye again.

For now, he wouldn’t have to.

“I’m… sorry.” he said, his throat no longer as tight as before but still leaving him with a raspy, drained voice.

He listened to you breathing in and out peacefully, before you answered him.

“You don’t have to be. You did nothing wrong.”

Another day, Pluto might have argued that he was still sorry nonetheless. That he felt bad for annoying you this way. But he was too tired to argue, so instead, he tried to give some credit to your words.

It was hard. But if he didn’t unclench his jaw, he would probably get a headache soon enough, and he didn’t want to deal with that now. So he told himself that what you said was true, and pretended to believe it.

Your chest moved up in a deep inhale, and then you sighed. Maybe somewhere, deep down inside of you you knew he didn’t completely think you were right. But if you were aware, you didn’t bring it up.

Instead, you caressed his hair some more before cupping his face and bringing it up and away from your chest to observe him better. Pluto took one more moment to enjoy the relaxing darkness of his closed eyelid, and then his right eye fluttered open again, with a sting, to an abstract blur of colours. So close to you, he could make out a few details – the ways your eyes darted across his face, and the displeased frown on your lips.

“Who did this to you?” You asked softly, carefully approaching a thumb to the blackening outline of his eye, getting a hiss and a withdrawal reflex from him when you brushed the skin there.

You knew the dark-haired boy has spent most of the afternoon searching for his friend. He has asked you for help, and seeing his panicked state, you hadn’t been able to say anything else but “yes”. Sadly, none of the people you had spoken to knew anything about the French magician’s disappearance. But this new bruise told you some more things might have happened since you last saw the one-eyed man a few hours ago.

Replacing his cheek against the palm of your hand, Pluto looked away, a distant, annoyed expression on his face as he grumbled “Monty. Who else?”

You scoffed at his answer. Now that he mentioned it, Montresor has definitely been shooting you some of his annoying, oh-so-punchable self-sufficient glares while you searched for someone who might have seen Duke. You could easily imagine at least a dozen reasons why Pluto and him would have gotten into an argument.

Though, for now, it would probably be better not to ask for any further explanation. Instead, you brought his face closer to yours and pressed a kiss to his forehead, before leading him to lay back against your chest.

He needed comfort. This, at least, was obvious. You’d do your best with the very few informations you had.

“Whatever happened, I’m sure Lenore will find a way to solve this when she comes back.” You spoke softly, holding him tightly against you.

“Right.” He groaned back tiredly, seemingly trying to let your warmth sip through him to make him forget about his day. Sighing, he paused before repeating your words, more to reassure himself than anything else. “Right. Let’s wait for her. She’ll come back. She’ll have a plan.”

“I’m sure she will.” You emphasized his point to help him calm down, while you stroked his back, getting another sigh out of him.

There was a moment of silence, where the two of you simply held each others, allowing yourselves to relax a bit, especially after the events of today. And then, after some time…

“Thank you.”

Pluto’s whisper almost startled you. Opening your eyes in surprise, you looked down at his resting figure, before repositioning your arms a little tighter around him with a sigh, and whispering back.

“You’ll always be welcome.”

Speaking of being welcomed... You remembered about his roommate. The fuss his argument might have caused. And another idea flashed in your head.

“If you want to, you can stay here for tonight.”

The proposition stayed suspended between the two of you for a moment. You couldn’t really tell if Pluto was simply reflecting on his options, or if he was fighting some sort of inner demon telling him he would be a burden.

Knowing him, there might have been a bit of both.

“I… I think I’d like that, actually.”

You’d be a liar if you said you weren’t a bit exited to have him with you tonight. The thought of spending more time with him always brought a smile to your lips. Holding him tight, you buried your face in his hair in contentment.

“Well I like that too. So it’s decided, I’m kidnapping you for the night.”

And when you heard him laugh at your words – timidly, for no longer than a second, but a laugh nonetheless –, you felt prouder of yourself than you had ever been.

With a cautious breath he moved back to look at them. “What’s this?” Yeong-hu asked, causing Jong-hyun to put his finger to his lips in an effort to silence him. “Get off the jeep, we’re about to leave,” he replied instead of complying to his subordinates wishes. “You two should grab some grub,” Yeong-hu spoke in a normal volume, then he reached out and pulled at one of Seok-chan’s boot. “Hey, get up sleeping beauty.”

It worked as he’d assumed it would, Seok-chan groggily sat upright and needed a few seconds to figure out her surroundings. “Was that an hour already?” she obviously asked her comrade, who tried to help her out of the back. Seok-chan looked so sleepy and soft— Yeong-hu hated what it did to him. “Seo-jin didn’t stop snoring all night,” she whined, falling more than jumping out. “I feel like I’m not a person.” Seok-chan stated, rubbing her eyes tiredly.

Jong-hyun silently rounded him while Seok-chan fumbled out a pack of cigarettes. It became apparent that she didn’t get a wink of sleep all night when she almost let the cigarette fall a second time. Yeong-hu sighed and took it away, she protested non-verbally as he lit the thing, inhaling deeply before he carefully put it between Seok-chan’s lips. “There you go, now get something to eat, moron,” he told her.

There was no telling if he imagined the silent “thanks” as she walked away from him, her comrade in tow, who gave him the strangest look over his shoulder. What he couldn’t help but wonder about was the fact that of all the places, she chose to sleep in the back of a jeep. With Jong-hyun as a pillow. Was this the answer to his question if pairing those two up was a good idea or not?

Either way, his mind was quickly taken off this topic when some of the boys filed into their makeshift garage. Usually Seok-chan would be the one driving, but knowing she barely got any sleep, Yeong-hu decided to be the one behind the wheel today.

That was how Seok-chan ended up blinking at him when she opened the door at the drivers side. She even almost got on, before she noticed him. “Oh,” Seok-chan said confused, “Are we not driving together this time, Sarge?” she wanted to know, unable to hide that Yeong-hu was able to hurt her deeply if he wanted to.

“I'm not letting you drive anywhere today,” Yeong-hu stated and initiated for her to close the jeeps door again. “You get to be the passenger princes this time around.” He told her with a barely visible smile, but it made her laugh a little bashful, which was all he’d wanted to accomplish. “Take one of these to properly wake up,” he said to her when she got to the other side of the car, holding one package of Kopiko up.

She hopped in, doing as she was told and loved to direct him the way he’d formerly marked in their map.

People get so weird about relationships with more than one of the same secondary gender! (Not that they aren’t weird about alpha-beta-omega relationships but at least there has been massive pushback in the past century to allow a ‘pack’ relationship to be considered equivalent of marriage between any/all of the members legally, even if it’s heavily implied and expected that the beta is *really* just there as an extra caregiver or provider *never both* and people don’t like when said beta is actually romantically involved with their alpha and omega partners)

People are always so weird about an omega living with two alphas. Everyone is so ‘concerned’ about the poor omega being overwhelmed by having two competing alpha scents in his house! For one, if you have one or more siblings and an alpha parent, statistically there were likely more than one alpha in *your* house. For another, ‘competing’ *competing*??? If you can’t tell by watching that every ‘fight’ between Sapnap and George is just playfighting you need to get your eyes checked! Not only can two alphas ‘share’ an omega, they can love each other too!!! So people saying only DNF or Dreamnap are possible and expect one alpha to ‘win’ dream and the other leave…that’s crazy. Besides, clearly George is ‘alpha’ to both of them, they absolutely have a ‘pack’ dynamic going on.

I feel like I'm almost like. Stating the obvious or repeating what you said when I say this, but the way Betas are treated is so unfair.

The Most Haunted Forest in South Carolina: Fox Mulder X Reader

The walk to the camp site was longer and way more miserable than it really should have been. You kept cursing Fox for getting you out here but really it was your own fault. Scully was unable to make it so Fox needed a partner to camp out in ‘The Most Haunted Forest in South Carolina’. 

“It sounds like a corny line from a postcard. Have you seen any statistics to back it up?” You responded when Fox had told you over your weekly coffees out of the office. 

“We have over two hundred witnesses who all claim to have seen something ‘otherworldly’ within a 4 week period. All seem to be legitimate, Skinner thinks it’s a waste of time so I have to go” He smirked as he brushed the powdered sugar from his donut onto the floor. “Besides, I haven’t been camping for a while and Scully is unavailable so I need a partner…”. He gave you the sweetest smile he could muster.

“I hate camping, I don’t really like the outdoors and I’m an awful hiker” You retorted; trying desperately not to be won over by his grin.

“It’s only one night, we’ll be near civilisation for the most part and so am I! We’ll be in it together and we can make s’mores. The weather is meant to be good and y’know…it’d be nice to spend some time together…in a spooky forest”. His cheeks went pink with nerves and despite how much you hated the idea of being in a tent, you wanted to be with him too. 

You and Fox had been spending more time together recently. You’d started as friends until a bad break up left you struggling. Fox had been there throughout your darkest days and over the past few months you’d developed feelings for him. You’d go out for coffees once a week and have a takeout night every weekend. The closest you’d ever been was a prolonged hug as you sobbed into Fox’s work shirt and a drunken kiss on the cheek. You were desperate to spend time with him so you told yourself that this was the perfect opportunity.

The weather was awful and it had been from the moment you’d left the car. Initially, you’d hiked in silence. You knew Fox felt slightly guilty about how wrong the weather forecast had been and you felt grumpy. Your hiking shoes weren’t sitting right, your bag felt like it was full of bricks and the rain was relentless.  Fox would occasionally look back and smile at you but after the first half dozen had not been reciprocated; he thought maybe you weren’t in the smiling mood.

As the rain started to ease up; so did your mood. You enjoyed seeing Fox in this completely new environment, he pointed out every tree that looked stupidly large and would occasionally point at leafs, asking if you thought they looked ‘super poisonous’. When the terrain got rocky, he’d immediately hold your hand to steady you and then stay holding it for a while. Both of you enjoying the intimacy of the moment and the intimacy of the forest, it seemed like for the first time since knowing him; it was just you and him. The forest was huge and yet it was just the two of you, talking idly and holding hands. Very quickly it stopped feeling miserable and started to feel romantic. You’d keep your hands intertwined as you’d rub your thumb against his and without thinking, he’d return the gesture.

You both decided to have a fast lunch so you could make it to the campsite quicker. You shared a thermos of coffee as well as your sandwiches and bags of chips with each other. 

“Did you put brown sugar in this coffee Mulder?” He nodded as he bit into his apple, seemingly distracted by a bird flying overhead.

“You hate sugar in coffee.”

“Yeah but you like it...I know your coffee order like the back of my hand. You’re doing me a huge favour by doing this so I wanted everything to be okay for you. I mean you’ve come to the most haunted forest in South Carolina with me, the least I could do is make you a damn good coffee.”

Your entire body warmed as you sipped your drink. The way his eyes studied your face made your body glow. You realised that this could be the best time to tell him your feelings, you’d been avoiding doing it for the past few months as you told yourself that the moment didn’t feel right. This was it, the perfect time to tell Fox about the butterflies fluttering in your stomach every time you saw him but before you could open your mouth. He brushed his hands together and stood up, packing everything up into his backpack and telling you that you needed to make it to the campsite before it got any darker. 

Without words, his hand reached out for yours and you held hands the entire way to the campsite.

Fox insisted on putting up the tent, placing you in charge of finding dry wood for the campfire and looking for any signs of something that may be ‘otherworldly’. There was nothing to report back, maybe a few more squirrels than you expected but definitely nothing worthy of an X File. He had finished putting the tent up by the time you got back; your arms laden with wood ready to create the fire. You informed him of your findings as you set the fire together.

“How many squirrels did you see in total?”

“Fox, I didn’t count, there was just a lot. Like more than I’ve seen in one location before, maybe about 25ish?”

The flames illuminated his face as he smirked at your response. He reached into his back pocket and pulled out a silver flask, he grimaced as he took a sip and handed it to you. 

“If the fire doesn’t warm you up, try this rum” You sipped it and tried your hardest not to pull a disgusted face at the burn of the liquor going down your throat. That was how the rest of the evening was spent, the stars lit the sky as you talked by the fire and passed the flask between you. You talked about everything, from big moments in your life to your favourite films. The effect of the rum and Fox’s lingering eyes warmed your body as you rested your head on his shoulder. You closed your eyes as you listened to him talk about a book he had just finished. His arm found it’s way around your waist and he held you tightly against him. The silence was comfortable and you opened your eyes to find him smiling at you. 

“I think we should head to the tent, you’re absolutely freezing” He helped you stand up as you smiled at him hazily. It seemed to have gotten incredibly cold out of nowhere and you knew the cogs in Fox’s head would be spinning thinking about how this could be a sign of a paranormal presence. 

In the tent, your sleeping bags were laid close but with a space in between. Fox had brought blankets which you hoped would keep you warm through the night. “I’ll-uhm- wait outside whilst you get changed” He smiled nervously as he left the tent, you were far too cold to take anything off so you put on another pair of socks, joggers and the hoodie Fox had left at your place. You got into your sleeping bag and shouted to Fox that he could come back in. Whilst outside he’d done the same as you, apparently putting on every item of clothing he had in his bag to retain some body heat.

“Anything spooky out there?” you asked as he climbed into his sleeping bag; turning on his side to face you.

“Unfortunately nothing, I’m sorry to have brought you out here. I’m sure there’s better ways you could spend your weekend, rather than freezing in a forest with me for company”

In all the time you had known Fox Mulder, you had never seen him look unsure of himself. He held himself with such confidence and pride that the current expression on his face was completely new to you. He looked nervous as if he felt guilty for bringing you here. Without giving it much thought, you scooted your sleeping bag over to him so you could look him in the eye.

“I’ll forgive you if you help me warm up” he smiled at you as you rested your head on his chest and he placed a blanket over the two of you. The warmth from his body and the steady rise and fall of his breathing began to lull you close to sleep. You felt Fox’s hand trail up and down your back and you realised it was the perfect time to tell him. 

“I have feelings for you Fox, like I like you and you make me happy. I’ve wanted to tell you earlier but the timing didn’t feel right; but now it does” His hand suddenly stopped moving and you felt your heart shatter. Before you could mumble an apology and scoot away from him, he moved his hand to tilt your head up and kissed you. The kiss was gentle, soft and at that moment there was nothing else in the world apart from you two.

He kept his hand on your chin and looked at you as he stated, “I’m in love with you and I promise I was going to tell you. I was going to take you out for dinner tomorrow as a thank you and tell you then”.

Your body was overcome with warmth and you felt each of your muscles relax as the meaning of his words began to sink in. “This is the perfect way to tell me, you know, in the Most Haunted Forest in South Carolina”.

You placed your head back on his chest as it rumbled with a laugh, “so you admit, this Forest is haunted?”

Your eyes closed as the need for sleep seemed to creep over you, “I think love makes you say stupid things”.

hi, new turtle here and kind of clueless about a lot of things especially how to support GG and DD if we're from intl fandom. that is, I know DD has a lightstick, I know GG has other things..? (which are those?) my point is, how do we as intl fans support them? for Thai actors I know that we can donate money for advertisements and whatnot, but idk what to do for GG and DD. do you have any ideas? thank you and sorry if this message isn't very clear, my English is bad today >_<"

Sorry for the delay in replying to this, I've had very little time lately for Tumblr and I'm hopelessly behind on asks!

I know I've talked about this a bit in the past but finding older posts on Tumblr can be insanely difficult, so I'll go over some of my thoughts on this again.

Standard disclaimer: This is my personal opinion, not a list of demands or directives. Everyone gets to decide how they want to engage in fandom. There is absolutely no obligation to do any of these things, and doing these things does not make you a better fan than anyone else. Nor is anyone who is unable to do these things a lesser fan. The primary goal of fandom is to enjoy yourself (without harming others). I encourage each of you to find your own path and hold your head high, and never let anyone dictate your fandom experience or bully you for your choices.

I'm going to focus on things anyone can do without spending a lot of money or investing a huge amount of time. Alongside that I'll give some advice for those who want to take things further, and warn of some things we might want to avoid.

1 ] Be the best people we can be

The number one thing we can do is live our best lives, be the best people we can be, and help make the world a better place.

From a fandom perspective, we should all be striving to represent GG and DD in the best possible light by being a positive example of fandom at its best. Be kind, be compassionate, be open-minded. Don't bully others, don't engage in fan wars, don't trash other artists or fans. Respect other fans, artists and fandoms.

It's also important to think of how best to respect and protect them, and ensure we aren't painting them in a bad light.

Consider all the ways GG and DD inspire us to make the world a better place, and be the kind of person that reflects their goodness. Behave in ways that would make GG and DD proud, and that show turtles to be a positive force in the world.

Spend time with family, work toward our own goals and dreams. Don't over-invest ourselves in being their fan. This is something GG especially has urged fans to do for years and years.

Taking it to the next level

Lead by example and share that message/approach with others (in a kind, non-judgmental way). Do charitable works in their name (even if it's just in your own local area). Support causes that they would appreciate.

Some causes GG and DD have supported in the past: disaster relief, animal welfare, youth organizations that support disadvantaged kids, autism orgs. Consider orgs that help get kids involved in sports and in the arts. Theater and performance orgs as well. Given the nature of this fandom, you might also want to consider supporting queer orgs (there is a list of queer refugee orgs in this post).

I honestly believe that more than any other thing we could do to support them, this would BY FAR make GG and DD the happiest - just knowing that their fans are inspired to do kind things for others. They would be happier knowing our money is helping those in need, rather than being wasted on things we don't really need in some misguided desire to 'support them'.

Stay away from

Never behave cruelly or in a warlike manner toward other fans, artists or fandoms - especially not 'in GGDD's name'. I can't count how many times I've seen hateful people sporting GG or DD-related usernames and avatars invading other people's fandom spaces to attack them.

Don't support the stalker economy, and make sure the material we connect with them is not harmful. More on that here.

Avoid being taken advantage of. Always do your due diligence before giving money to any cause or organization to ensure they are legitimate and reputable.

2 ] Enjoy and promote their works

Another extremely important thing we can do is enjoy their work and show our support with reviews, ratings, and word-of-mouth recommendations. After all, this is the core of what their careers are about, and it's what they put so much hard work into and make so many big sacrifices for.

Taking it to the next level

Buy subscriptions on platforms where their work is being shown, buy tickets for their films, etc.

If the films are showing in a region you can't travel to, you can still buy tickets for turtles who can't afford to go. Consider organizing group viewings of their work, or helping to spread the word about their projects in other ways.

Stay away from

Never engage in false reviews, vote manipulation or manipulating view counts. Such behaviors can harm GG and DD and make them look bad.

3 ] Support their brand endorsements

The best way for any fan to do this is to support their brand endorsements on social media with likes, reblogs and gracious, rational, polite comments.

Always be respectful, calm, polite and professional when interacting with brands. Remember that these are professional partners of GG and DD and we should try to show GG and DD in a good light. Our behavior reflects on them.

Taking it to the next level

If it is within our means, we can buy their brand endorsements, but I urge fans to use good judgment and caution when doing so. I have a more detailed post about supporting their brand endorsements here. Bottom line: don't get caught up in spending all your money on things you can't afford or wouldn't have otherwise bought, just because GG and DD are representatives.

If you do decide to explore supporting their endorsements I recommend reading that post because it might give you food for thought, and help you decide where to invest.

Stay away from

Purchase only what you need and will use or gift to others. Never buy anything just to boost numbers. That type of consumer behavior is wasteful and reflects very poorly on GG and DD and can actually backlash harshly against them.

Never engage in sales manipulation behaviors, such as purchasing items to boost sales and then returning them later for a refund. Brands aren’t stupid. They will notice this type of thing and it will factor into how they evaluate GG and DD’s brand performance.

Understand that brands are very skilled at tracking where sales come from, where brand buzz is coming from, etc. It’s not strictly necessary to make any special fanfare about your purchases, and if fan behavior becomes disruptive it can become a negative rather than positive reflection on GGDD.

Never get involved in disruptive fan behavior, regardless of how hard other fans try to instigate you or induce you to do so.

Never spend more than you can afford. GG and DD are both mega-rich, and so are these brands. Have a sense of perspective and self-preservation and realize GG and DD wouldn’t want you to over-extend yourself on their behalf. Brand purchases aren’t even a core aspect of what’s important to their careers, so your impact would be marginal/practically nonexistent anyway.

If you really want a brand to know you support them because of GG or DD, let them know via social media or by contacting them directly. Send them a nice note, mention them in a tweet showing your purchases, or simply thank them for choosing GG or DD - no purchase necessary.

It’s OK to say you are a turtle, just don’t mention CP topics when interacting with brands, and don’t mention GG or DD in interactions with each other’s brands or bring each other’s solo colors into your messages, especially not on Twitter. That will only stir fan wars and cause disruption that the brands will inevitably witness. It’s not a good look.
