So small update:

Thanks to a snow storm, the holidays, my family's poor planning, the nurse at my psychiatrist sucking majorly, and my own stupidity, I am basically out of all my meds. Like... literally all of them.

And I've been slowly running out of them for the past few days, but have been unable to refill them thanks to my current insurance only supporting one pharmacy, and the nurses over at my current psychiatrist forgetting to actually send the darn prescriptions setting us back another week

I didn't realize how dire things were until a few days ago, and even then my brain was so unfocused I could barely think about it, otherwise I'd have said something way sooner.

Thankfully, we should be able to get the majority refilled tomorrow, but due to how medications work, I might still be scattered brained for a little while longer anyway. So I'll probably be on semi-hiatus a few days at least, just until I can actually think and feel like writing again.

my insurance after refusing to cover my medication refill the second time in a row: simply ask your doctor to change you to a different medication (one that could very well have new side effects for me, you never know) because we don't like this one! teehee!

finally caved and acknowledged the need for the big scary tests for my tummy so I just tried to make an appointment with the GI I’ve been recommended and the next appointment wasn’t available until DECEMBER

i've been trying to get a new doctor since at least june...

i was given a referral by the psych hospital to call X Community Health Center because they take my insurance and are taking new patients

with everything going on i wasn't able to call them until just before thanksgiving. and they told me that i had to fill out my patient forms online so they could process them before i could be seen or contacted. i did. they never contacted me.

i called them a week ago. they said i wasn't in their system. a week later they find me, say they'll finish processing my paperwork and send me an email. no email.

i call today. yes i am in the system. good. so when can i be seen?

"well what's wrong with you?" nothing's wrong with me, i just need to get a new primary care provider (pcp). "oh, we don't do that. you have to have something wrong for us to see you, and then we'll let you see a doctor, and then that doctor will assign you to another doctor.... who will become your pcp."

...but i was specifically referred here because i was told you are taking new patients. "we are taking new patients. you just have to have something wrong with you to be seen or we won't see you."

well there's nothing currently wrong with me so how would i be able to be seen....?
