Room for One More
Tumblr media
Pairing: Fem!reader x Shinichiro
Summary: Seeing how you cares for his little siblings makes Shinichiro want to have a child of his own with you <3
Word Count: 3k
Warnings: changed the sano siblings ages a bit from cannon to fit the narrative, talk of pregnancy, breeding kink, raw sex, fingering, cream pie, some pet names, not proof read
You woke up to a familiar sound: little feet on hardwood and stifled giggles. You felt the bed shift under the weight 2 tiny bodies as they wedged their way between you and your boyfriend.
“Wake upppppp” Mikey whined. You rolled over, finding him poked at Shinichiro’s cheek.
He grumbled, turning into the pillow. “C’mon Mikey, it’s early.”
Mikey snorted. “It’s nine!”
Shin’s voice came muffled from the pillow. “That is early.”
“Lazy!” Emma giggled at Mikey’s comment.
“How about instead of bothering Shin, you give me a good morning hug?” you asked, earning delighted squeals from the two of them. They practically leaped at you, but you received them happily, hugging them tightly. “You too, Izana, you know I can’t get up without a hug.”
Izana was standing in the doorway, watching this all unfold. Being the oldest, besides Shin, you knew he felt like he wasn’t supposed to get in on the “baby stuff.” However, you also knew he really liked it, as he was still very much a child after all. You were always sure to invite him in, so he felt like he was doing it for you, rather than himself. He gave you a big, sweet hug.
“I’m hungry,” Mikey groaned.
“You’re always hungry,” Izana replied.
“I’ve got an idea,” you interjected. “Whoever brushes their teeth the fastest gets an extra piece of bacon.” Their eyes all lit up and in a flash they were gone.
You leaned over, pressing a kiss on Shin’s cheek. “I’ll make them breakfast, you rest, okay?” Shin had been working a lot lately; the responsibility of the bike shop was a lot for him. This was his first day off in a while and you knew he needed it.
“Thank you,” he murmured, turning to give you a quick kiss on the lips.
You made it to the kitchen just in time to see the kids race in, Izana sliding into his chair first. “We have a winner!” you announced, ruffling his snowy hair. He smiled proudly. The other two pouted.
“He cheated,” Mikey grumbled.
You were fishing out pans from the cabinet as you replied, “Sore losers don’t get any bacon.” That got him quiet. You got everything you needed- eggs, bread, butter, and bacon - and got to work cooking breakfast. It wasn't long before Shinichiro stumbled in.
“I thought you were gonna rest some more?”
Shin cozied up behind you at the stove, wrapping his arms around you. “Smells too good to stay away.” You leaned into the warmth of his touch, smiling as he peppered soft kisses on your neck and cheek.
“Eww!” the kids groaned in unison. You giggled as Shin told them to shut up, while half laughing himself. When you finished cooking you gathered around the little kitchen table to eat. Everyone fell silently as they enjoyed their food. Meal times were typically the quietest parts of the day.
Just as you were all finishing up Shin’s phone rang. He looked at the number and groaned. “Shit.”
“Oohh, Shin cursed!” Mikey gasped, making Emma giggled. Shin stuck his tongue out at them. Although he was much older, it didn’t stop the typical sibling dynamics from playing out.
“It’s the bike shop, I gotta take it,” he explained, before slipping out of the room.
“Let's get this cleaned up, yeah?” you said to the kids. They got up without complaint, helping you bring the dishes to the dishwasher and load it up. The kids definitely messed around a lot, but they were great little helpers. By the time you finished, Shinichiro returned with a disappointed look on his face.
“I have to go into work,” he sighed, heavy with sadness.
“No! We were supposed to have a picnic today,” Emma pouted. She expressed the disappointment you felt. You weren’t angry, if anything you were upset for Shin. You knew he was looking forward to getting some time off and was probably just as upset as you were.
“I’m really sorry,” Shin replied, “It’s an emergency.”
“Is everything okay?” you asked.
“Yeah no one’s hurt or anything,” Shin replied, “We just have this big job that needed to be finished today. The guy who was supposed to do it got really sick and if we don’t complete this we’ll lose a ton of money. I’m so sorry I gotta go get it done.” Shinichiro looked so disappointed, it made your heart ache. It always sucked when he got called into work unexpectedly, but today he looked particularly upset. You knew he hated how much he had to work, despite loving motorcycles. It was difficult for him to be so young and have to provide for himself as well as all his little siblings. His dedication and care of them was something that drew you to him in the first place. “I’m sorry my love,” you replied, “That really sucks, but not your fault. We understand, don’t we?”
The kids were definitely disappointed, but they nodded along anyway thankfully. “It’s okay Shin,” Izana stated, “We can hang out a different day.”
Shinichiro shook his head. “No we already bought everything for the picnic, you all should still go and have a good time.”
“Are you sure?” you asked.
“Absolutely. I’d feel worse if you guys didn’t have fun today,” Shin replied. “You’ll all behave for y/n if she takes you to the park right?” This time they nodded eagerly. “Good,” Shin replied. He put his hand on Izana’s head, fluffing his hair a bit. “You’re the man of the house while I’m away, bud. Make sure these two behave.”
“Hey!” Mikey and Emma grumbled while Izana beamed with the honor Shin had bestowed on him. Shin told the kids to get dressed, giving you a minute alone.
“I really am sorry about this, I was looking forward to spending time together,” Shin said, taking your hand in his.
“It’s really okay, you can’t control it,” You replied, giving his hand a squeeze, “You just owe us extra next time you’re off.” Your light teasing made him smile.
“You got it.” He stole a kiss before the kids could come back down and gag over your PDA. “If you need me at all, please call. I’ll say fuck work if you really need me for something.”
“Don’t worry about it, just do what you need to do and come home to us as soon as you can, okay?” you replied, stealing another kiss while you could.
“Yes ma’am.” With that the kids came racing back into the room. Shin said his goodbye before heading out. You got the kids organized, having them pack up their snacks and toys they wanted to bring with them. When everything was ready, you piled everything into a little wagon, which Izana was happy to put in charge of pulling.
You held Emma’s hand as you walked to park. Mikey ran head, eager as always, while Izana followed dutifully behind so he could keep an eye on everyone. When you finally arrived, you let them run loose as you laid out the blanket. Despite it being a nice day, the park was fairly empty, giving the kids freedom to do as the pleased. As you watched them run around and laugh with each other, that familiar warm feeling grew in your chest.
Shin’s sibling were not your kids, obviously. You were just his girlfriend, after all. Still you felt such strong affection for them. You didn’t have a big family growing up and you loved being a part of their family like this. It meant a lot to you that his siblings seemed to love you as much as you loved them.
After running around for awhile, the kids worked up an appetite and joined you on the picnic blanket. You dug through the picnic basket, pulling out everyone’s favorite snacks. You felt a little tug in your chest, knowing Shin had gone shopping to get everyone just what they liked. When you saw his favorite candy at the bottom of the basket you kept it hidden, wanting him to have a little treat to come home too.
After lunch, Izana and Mikey went back to running around and playing some tag-like game. Emma roped you into playing dolls with her, not that you minded. When she got bored of that, she went off to collect little flowers that were sprouted in the park. She brought you back a little bouquet, smiling brightly and filling your chest with warmth. There were a few extra she had for herself.
“Sit,” you patted the blanket next to you. Emma did as you asked, sitting in front of you. You used your fingers to comb through her silky blonde hair, then braided it, weaving in the little flowers she found. When you showed her, she squealed with delight.
“It’s like Rapunzel!” she beamed.
“Can Rapunzel go tell her brothers its time to go home?” Emma nodded, skipping off to round up Mikey and Izana while you packed everything up. The sun was starting to set as you walked back home. You were surprised how much time you spent out, but you thoroughly enjoyed yourself. It only would have been better if Shin could have joined you.
When you got home, you instructed the kids to wash up while you started making something for dinner. You kept it a simple crowd pleaser: pasta.
“How you guys feel about watching a movie after dinner?” You asked as everyone ate at the table.
“Can we make a fort?” Mikey asked.
“Of course,” you replied. The three of them ate the rest of the meals excitedly chatting about how they would arrange the pillows and blankets. Once dinner was finished, they helped you clean up without complaint, eager to get to the fort building. It took a bit of time to get it big enough for everyone to fit while also being structurally sound, but eventually you got it right.
“You guys don't want snacks right?” you joked, knowing they’d be appalled you’d even suggest they go snack less.
“Nuh uh! I want popcorn,” Mikey replied.
“And m&ms!” Emma chimed in. You laughed, but fetched what they asked for, before climbing into the fort. It was a tight fit, but they all had no qualms cuddling up to you. Emma was squished against your chest, while Mikey rested by your stomach. Izana snuggled up against your leg.
The kids chatted and giggled at the beginning of the movie, but slowly fell silently as they drifted to sleep. Usually Izana is able to stay up through a movie, but even he was knocked out from a long day at the park. You were wondering how you would get them to their beds without waking them up, when you heard the front door open.
“I’m home!” Shin announced. When he walked into the living room he laughed at the sight of the blankets and pillows arranged haphazardly. “Shit I didn’t know they were asleep,” he said when he came around tot he front of the fort. Shinichiro’s heart seized at the sight of his little siblings cuddled up to you so peacefully. He already knew he loved you, but it moments like this it was almost overwhelming for him.
“It’s okay, they’re totally knocked out from today,” you whispered. “We missed you, but I saved you a plate. Why don’t you go eat and then we’ll move them?”
Shin nodded, even though he had the strongest urge to join you guys. His growling stomach was the only thing that pulled him away. He ate quickly, but appreciated the meal you had left for him.
“Thank you for dinner, my love,” Shin said when he returned, “Now lets get them to bed.” Shin gently lifted Izana off you, who stayed asleep while he carried him to his room. Next he took Mikey, leaving you to carry Emma up to her room. All the kids remained asleep on the short walk to their room.
“Your turn,” Shin greeted outside Emma’s door. Before you could ask what he meant, he swept you off your feet and carried you to your bedroom. You both laughed quietly, as he placed you on the bed.
“We missed you a lot today,” you told him.
“I missed you guys too,” Shin replied “You’re so good with the kids, you have no idea how much it means to me.” Shin spent his entire day thinking of you all. It was not the first time you stepped up and helped with the kids, but it never meant any less to him. He loved how you cared for them, treating them basically like your own. Coming home to all of them so cuddled up to you just confirmed what he always felt. “Would it be crazy if I said I want a kid of our own?”
Your eyes went wide. The two of you had talked about having a family, but it had always been casual. Something that was more of a day dream than a true plan. “We aren’t even married,” was all that came out in your shock. You and Shin weren’t traditional by any means, but you always assumed you’d be married before having children.
Shin got a funny smile on his face. “Funny you should say that.” He went over to his drawer, digging through it until he pulled out a little black velvet box. You gasped. “So, I had been planning on proposing today when we were all together. I was really upset when I didn’t think it would happen, but I guess it was meant to be,” he explained, with the sweet grin on his face that had made you fall in love with him. “So, y/n, will you marry me?”
There was only one answer. “Yes, of course.” You threw your arms around him, happy tears streaming down your face. You only pulled away so he could slide the beautiful ring on your finger. “I love it so much. I love you so much.”
“I love you more,” Shin replied, pulling you in for a kiss. He laid you down, kissing you as he straddled your body. You were both giggling, equally giddy and desperate for each other, as if it was the first time being together. Your stripped each other as you kissed, barely letting your lips part. “Fuck,” Shin said looking at you, “So fucking pretty. My girl. my fiancé.”
You blushed and smiled, loving the sound of that. You twirled the hair at the base of his head, just like you knew he liked. It only egged him on more. “Gonna be even better when I can call you my wife.” His hand slipped between your legs, spreading the slickness that gathered. You let out a little satisfied sigh as he teased your clit. “Fuck you’d look so good pregnant. You want that, yeah? Wanna have a baby with me love?”
Maybe it was the excitement of the engagement or the ache of desire you felt for Shin, but in that moment there was nothing you wanted more. “Please Shin,” you begged, “I want that so bad.” Shin smiled widely, slipping his fingers inside you. You let out a little gasp as he pressed into your g-spot, making you impossibly wetter.
“Fuck, gonna give that to you,” he murmured against your skin. He kissed your breasts, his tongue sliding across your nipple. Goosebumps raised on your skin as he continued to work at you. His thumb found your clit, pressing little circles until the bubble of pleasure inside you popped.
You bit your lip, letting out a low, breathless moan as you came. You were still acutely aware that the kids were near by, asleep in their beds. The last thing you wanted to do was wake them up.
When you were finished, Shinichiro sat up, pumping his hard, leaky cock. The sight of him coupled with the anticipation of getting to feel him raw for the first time made your body drum with excitement. Shin was just as eager, lining himself up to you and pressing himself inside you.
“Fuck,” he groaned, “Knew you’d feel good, but this is like fucking heaven.” He gave slow, deep thrusts, allowing him to savor ever inch of you. “We’re never using condoms again.” You giggled at his enthusiasm, but also fully agreed that this felt better than before.
Shinichiro grew more needy. His thrusts became faster and harder as he lost himself in the feeling of you. “Can’t wait to fill you up,” he panted softly, “Gonna be the prettiest mommy. Fuck I love you.”
“I love you too, Shin,” you whimpered. Your hands dragged up and down his back, holding him close to you. The faster he moved, the more the pleasure inside you rebuilt. You were getting to the tipping point when Shin let out a low curse and buried his face in your neck. You felt his cock twitch inside you, filling you with his warm cum. The sensation sent you over the edge, making you cum around his cock. You bit into his shoulder to stifle the sound.
The both of you stayed like that for awhile, Shin buried deep inside you, bodies pressed together, breathless and flushed. Eventually, Shin propped himself up on his elbows. He wasn’t far from you by any means, but it allowed him to look at you. His cheeks were flushed with a loving glow that only made your heart flutter more.
“I really mean it, you know,” Shin said, pushing hair out of your eyes. “There’s nothing more that I want than to have a family with you.”
His sweetness and sincerity nearly brought tears to your eyes. “I want that, too. I’m so glad I get to be a part of your family now.” It was all you had wanted since you first started dating him
He picked up the hand that the ring was on, placing a soft kiss on it. “You’ve always been part of the family, now it’s just official.”
You cupped his cheek, pulling him in for another kiss. “I love you so much.”
Shin only smiled brighter, “I love you more.” The joy you felt was beyond anything you could explain. All you knew was there was nothing more you were excited for than to be build a life and family with Shinichiro.

Summer. You always liked summer but it could become unbearable in Los Angeles but it was 2 months away from school work, which you did not miss. You 18 which meant that you were in the last of high school and you couldn’t be more excited. Sure, you loved seeing your friends and most teachers but you could care less for the cliques, bullies, jocks, etc.  During the summer you had gotten a part time job at Cozy Corner Café, a cute little place for people to hang out, meet up with friends, do school work, eat, and drink. Everyone there was so nice and it was refreshing. It was a fairly big café and it did really well so well it became popular fast. The café also was a 24-hour café which meant that sometimes you worked well into the night, that part sucked but it paid well and you loved it so you stuck with it. You had your driver’s license which helped with giving you freedom during the summer. You drove a Ford Bronco but recently it was acting up and when you told your father, Tim Bradford, about it the night before he said to bring it down to the station and he would trade vehicles out with you and he would get it looked at either have the mechanics at work look at it or take it down to a mechanic shop after work and get a ride from someone.
Monday morning rolled around and your alarm clock started to go off abruptly waking you up with a groan. You opened your eyes and turned it off and looked at the time which was 7:00 AM. It was the first official day of summer break and the first day of work for you. You sighed and rolled out of bed and walked into the bathroom while grabbing a towel from the hall closest, you needed a shower before you switched cars with your dad and headed off to work. You turned on the shower and got it to the right temperature before shedding your clothes and hopping into the warm water. The water cascaded over you, you quickly did what you needed and then turned off the shower and grabbed your towel drying off and then started to get dressed in jeans and your work shirt. You then brushed your teeth and brushed your hair leaving it to air dry. Once you were done there you grabbed your phone and shut the lights off and walked downstairs to drop your dirty clothes and towel in the washer. Kojo happily greeted you and you smiled petting the dog “Hey there boy. Are you gonna be good while we are gone?” You asked, smiling and not expecting a response but he barked and wagged his tail. “You’re always a good boy, aren’t you?” You asked and he barked and put a paw on your hand making you chuckle. You filled his food bowl and water bowl and then grabbed your backpack and keys. “I gotta get going. Be a good boy.” You said he barked again and then you were heading out of the house and to your Ford Bronco. You got in and put the key into the ignition and turned it “Come on please don’t do this now.” You said as it sputtered for a few seconds before turning over. “Thank you.” You said and then reversed and headed to the station. It didn’t take long before you got there and parked beside your dad’s truck and as soon as you did it died. “Right on time.” You said and got out grabbing your things and throwing on the jacket you would have throughout the night. You walked into the station and literally ran into Wesley Evers, aka your Godfather. “Oof.” You said stumbling back.
“Woah, are you ok?” He asked catching you before you fell backwards.
“I’m good. I promise.” You said looking up at him and then going to hug him.
“What are you doing here? Aren’t you supposed to be getting to work?” He asked and you nodded as you pulled away from him. He knew you started work today because you had excitedly texted him and Angela about it.
“Yes, I left the house a little bit early to drop The Bronco off.” You said
“Is it acting up again?” He asked and you nodded.
“Yes unfortunately.” You replied
“Why don’t you trade it in and get a different vehicle?” He asked
“It’s my baby, I can’t just get rid of her.” You said and he shook his head.
“I get it. I get it.” He said smiling.
“Dad is letting me take his truck while he figures out what is going on with it.” You said and he nodded. “You know where he is so I don’t have to do a scavenger hunt for him?” You asked, chuckling and so did Wesely.
“Last I checked everyone was in the briefing room.” He said and you nodded.
“Hey, you should stop by later.” You said and he smiled.
“I will make sure to do that. I have to go but I will see you later Y/N.” He said and he hugged you again and kissed your head.
“Sounds good. Bye Wesely.” You said and he smiled and then you both started to walk your separate ways. You nodded and smiled at the front desk and they smiled back, everyone knew who you were so you got a free pass. You got on the elevator and pressed the button and when it dinged signaling that you were on your floor you got out and instantly spotted everyone in the briefing room it looked like they had just finished as you walked onto the floor. Angela was the first one to spot you and she smiled, which was rare for her, and nudged Tim who looked your way and smiled, something rare that only few people have seen. They both walked out.
“Hey, what are you doing here?” Angela asked walking up to you with Tim.
“I’m dropping The Bronco off for dad to get looked at and getting the keys to his truck.” You said and she smiled as you handed Tim your keys.
“Right, I’ll be right back. Let me go and get the keys.” He said and you nodded.
“Why don’t you trade it in and get a different vehicle?” She asked and you laughed.
“That is the same thing your husband said. I’ll tell you what I told him. It’s my baby, I can’t just get rid of her.” You said and she chuckled.
“I remember my first car. I had it until he upped and died on me on the interstate. Had to let it go then. It was truly a sad day.” She said
“Dad got me The Bronco when I got my permit when I was 15 ½. I learned everything in that car. I can’t let her go.” You said
“When do you start work?” She asked
“8. I left the house early to switch out vehicles with dad.” You said as Tim walked back up and held out the keys to you.
“Be careful and remember it is very sensitive with the gas and breaks.” He said and you nodded.
“I remember. Oh, and the engine died as soon as I parked it.” You said and he nodded.
“I’ll get Seth to look at it while we are gone.” He said
“Thank you.” You said and he smiled and hugged.
“You’re welcome. I’ll see you later. Call or text if something doesn’t sit right with you.” He said and you nodded.
“I will.” You said as Lucy came up.
“Hey, what are you doing here?” She asked with a smile.
“My car started to act up and dad said he would get it checked out so I’m switching vehicles with him.” You said and looked down at your watch and saw it was 7:20 AM. “I gotta go. I’ll see you guys later. I love you dad.” You said and he smiled.
“I love you too.” He said and hugged you and kissed your head and then you were heading to the elevators. When you got down to the main level you waved at the front desk and walked out of the building to your dad’s truck. You got in and put your stuff in the passenger side seat and turned the ignition. You reversed and headed to the café ready to start your long shift for the day/part of the night. When you reached the café, you parked in the back where the employees parked and killed the engine. As you were getting out, leaving your bag in the truck, your friend and coworker, Valencia, got out of her car as well.
“You’re in a different vehicle.” She said and you chuckled and smiled.
“Yea, The Bronco was acting up.” You said as you locked the truck and the both of you headed into the back.
“Oh man you love that thing.” She said and you nodded.
“I do and I’ll be heartbroken when it has to go.” You said as the both of you began putting your stuff in the lockers. “Damn, I left my bag in the truck. I’ll just get it later.” You said as Mark walked in overhearing the conversation.
“You sure? We still have some time before we start.” Mark said, your other friend said.
“Yea, I’m sure. I’ll get it on break.” You confirmed and they both nodded and the three of you clocked in and walked to the front and the shift began. The beginning of the shift nothing exciting happened and not a lot of people came in. Some college students came in to grab coffee and maybe something to eat and then they were on their way to class and then the customers died down. You spent the down time by cleaning up and making sure everything was stocked and swept while Remi, Amelia, and Carlyn came and greeted you three, they were also your friends.
“So, you have any plans for the days you’re not working?” Valencia asked and you shrugged as you wiped down the counter as she tended to the cash register along with Amelia.
“No, not really. Might take Kojo out for a run one day and work on some college applications.” You said shrugging.
“Are you really serious about getting into the police academy?” Remi asked as he restocked the higher up things.
“I am. My dad went through it and I love helping people so why not? It runs in our family.” You said not bothering to say anything about your mom since she wasn’t in your life for most of it.
“That would be so cool when you get in and graduate. You’re badass now but you’ll be even more badass.” Mark said, leaning against the counter. You rolled your eyes and smiled and then playfully shoved him off of it.
“Hey I just cleaned there.” You said and wiped the counter down again.
“He’s right, you know. Y/N Bradford certified Badass.” Amelia said and you rolled your eyes and shook your head.
“It is only the truth.” Carlyn said and everyone nodded and you blushed but smiled.
“Stop you guys.” You said as the door chimed and a flood of people came in and when you looked down at your watch you knew why, it was already noon and this was the lunch rush. Mark, Remi, and Valencia took to the cash registers and getting the food and you, Amelia, and Carlyn started to make the coffee and whatever drinks were ordered, you took this role because you were fast at it and everyone agreed. You three really worked in harmony and got people out quickly. Your boss said when you six were out of school and either going to college and needed work or just needed work in the summer you all had a job, you six were that good. Mark, Remi and Valencia were fast at making coffee too but you and Amelia were a tad faster but they could get the job done just as well and it tasted just as good. You had finished serving the last customer and they were out the door when you sighed in relief. “What a rush.” You said and the other two nodded.
“You got that right.” Mark said turning to you as did Valencia and now it was time to wait. While you waited you wiped down the equipment and cleaned it with the help from Mark. “What time is it?” He asked and you looked down at your watch.
“It is 2:00.” You said
“Damn time flies by when you’re having fun.” Valencia said and everyone chuckled. As the afternoon went on you served customers and talked. Around 5:00 PM the college crowd started to come in. Mark took the coffee making and you took one of the registers. You were taking orders when a familiar face popped and you smiled.
“Wesley! You came!” You exclaimed and he smiled and nodded.
“I sure did. This is actually one of my favorite spots to hang out and get coffee. I got excited when I knew you were starting to work here.” He said and the two of you talked and he gave you his order and he got it and went to sit down.
“Y/N take your break.” Mark said and you nodded and clocked out for your 15-minute break. Just as soon as your boss Jason Alderman walked in.
“Taking your break?” He asked and you smiled and nodded.
“Yes, Sir.” You said
“Good. Can’t have one of my best baristas breaking down on me.” He said and then walked to the front as you did and Mark handed you your favorite drink and food.
“You know me so well.” You said and he smiled.
“Of course I do. You’re my best friend.” He said and you rolled your eyes and went and sat down with Wesley while you texted your dad.
You: Hey, I’m on break and Wesley was here as well.
Tim: You two have fun. I love you
You: I love you too.
“So, how have things been with you?” You asked as you took a sip of coffee and looked up at Wesely.
“I’ve been good. A lot of cases have been happening.” He said
“How are you and Angela?” You asked
“Good. We’re good. Actually, we are trying for a baby.” He said and your eyes got wide.
“Seriously? That is amazing. I can already see a mini-Angela and Wesley running around.” You said and he chuckled.
“Yea, we are pretty excited about it too.” Wesley said
“Sir, I can’t do that.” You heard Amelia say which made you and Wesley look up and him over to the counter and the both of you froze. The man was tall and slim, he had light brown hair and from the looks of it brown eyes. You got up and made your way to the counter to protect your friend and coworker kicking in.
“Y/N no.” Wesley said but you ignored him.
“Is there a problem, Sir?” You asked
“Yes, there is, this little bitch won’t give me the money.” He said
“Sir, she cannot do that.” You said voice going into a commanding tone.
“I tried being nice but you made me do this.” He said and pulled out a gun and everything stopped.
“Give me the money now.” He growled out. Jason was quick to come out of the back.
“She is not going to do that.” He said and got in front of him and Amelia. As someone called 911.
“Fine.” He said and turned the gun on you and pulled the trigger. White hot pain is all you felt and then you were falling to your knees as someone was catching you and calling your name.
“Y/N!” Wesley said as he caught you and gently laid you down head in his lap as he applied pressure to the wound. It made you cry out. “It’s ok. I got you. Your dad is on the way.” He said.
“It hurts.” You said tears escaping your eyes.
“I know it does. Just hang on for me. Ok?” He asked and you nodded. There was commotion and Mark and Remi had tackled the man but not before more gunshots went off but thankfully nobody else was hurt as bad as you. They may have some scratches from glass and graze wounds but that is about it.
“Ok.” You said through gritted teeth. You just wanted your dad.

After you had left the station everyone else had gone and got ready and they started to do the same and as they were at war bag station and they grabbed their cameras Tim turned to Lucy “Get the shop ready. I need to go down to the garage.” He said and she nodded.
“You got it.” She said as she grabbed the bags as Tim made his way down to the garage and straight to Seth, the main mechanic, to ask for him look at your Bronco and they agreed, he knew that Grey would allow it since Tim was a sergeant too, before they even left, they were already giving him an update.
“So, the engine blew up and the transmission is bad as well.” Seth said.
“How is it possible that it was running fine for months?” He asked as they stood outside by your Bronco and hood up.
“Driving on a blown engine and a bad transmission is possible. Is it good? No.” Seth said
“It never showed any signs of going out or being a bad transmission.” He said and Seth nodded
“That is not out of the norm. Most people don’t know about it until something happens. Has the light ever come on?” He asked
“No never.” Tim said and Seth nodded.
“There could be a loose wire or connection. Don’t worry. We will get it up and working. It’ll be good to go by the end of your shift.” Seth said
“Thank you so much.” Tim said and gave him the keys.
“Not a problem. Have a good shift.” Seth said and Tim nodded and he was on his way to Lucy.
“So, what is the news?” She asked
“Blown engine and a bad transmission.” He said
“Oh man. That’s not good.” She said and he shook his head.
“What is even worse is that it didn’t even give warning that it was blown or had a bad transmission. No light ever came on.” He said
“Damn.” She said as they got in the shop and they started their shift. “So, are you going to have to take it somewhere to get fixed?” She asked and he shook his head.
“No, Seth said they would get it fixed by the end of our shift.” Tim said
“Well, that’s good.” She said and he nodded. Their shift consisted of several noise complaints and several arrests. He drove by Cozy Corner Café and smiled seeing all the cars there and knew you were busy and thankfully Lucy didn’t pick up on what he was doing.
Around 5:00 PM Tim and Lucy were driving back from the station after having just booked someone when he got a text from you. He quickly pulled out his phone before starting to drive.
You: Hey, I’m on break and Wesley was here as well.
Tim: You two have fun. I love you
You: I love you too.
As they got back out on the road the radio went off “7-Adam-100 respond to a 10-66 at Cozy Corner Café. One GSW reported. Multiple injuries. RA requested.” Dispatch sounded and Tim’s heart dropped and he had gone somewhat pale. He was quick to grab the radio.
“7-Adam-100 responding.” He said before Lucy could even make a move towards the radio. He turned on the lights and sped off towards where you worked.
“10--66 is an armed robbery. Tim, what is going on?” Lucy asked
“Y/N works there.” Is all he said and Lucy got a sinking feeling that something wasn’t right.
“7-Adam-07 responding.” Angela came over the radio.
“7-Adam-19 also responding.” Harper’s voice came through and Tim was grateful for that.
Tim and Lucy were the first to get there and parked in a hurry and they quickly got their guns drawn and went in. “We have him held down over there.” Jason said and pointed to where Mark and Remi were keeping him at bay.
“Officer Chen, you go and take care of him. Where is the gunshot-” Time started but was cut off by Wesley.
“Tim over here. It’s Y/N.” He said and Tim was over there in a hurry.
“Holy shit.” He murmured. “Y/N, Sweetheart, can you hear me? If you can hear me, open your eyes.” He said and so you did.
“Daddy?” You asked, he nodded.
“I’m here, what happened?” He asked kneeling beside you not caring if he was getting blood on his uniform.
“He came in demanding money and A-Ameila said we couldn’t give it to him and I got up and went over to him, asked him what he wanted and he repeated himself and I told him that. He got mad then pulled out a gun and and pointed it at me and pulled the trigger. I was just trying to protect my friend, I’m sorry. It hurts, Daddy.” You said and and he put a hand on your face and you leaned into it.
“I’m not mad at you I promise, mad at him yes. I know it hurts, Sweetheart.” He said “Just hold on.” He said as the others arrived and Angela came straight over to you, Tim, and Wesley.
“Fuck. Is she ok?” She asked
“I think she will be.” Wesley said
“Are you hurt?” Tim asked and he shook his head.
“No. I’m fine. She didn’t hit anything as she went down. I caught her.” He said Jackson came over.
“Suspect is secured and the RA should be here any second.” He said and then walked away to help Nolan and Lucy and Tim nodded as he helped put pressure on your wound and you groaned in pain.
“RA is coming through.” Harper said. Lucy, Jackson and Nolan were checking in on everyone else and getting statements. The EMTs came through and quickly started to take your vitals and pack the wound as best as they could and then they were putting you on a gurney and ushering you out of the building.
“I’m going with her.” Tim said and body stopped him. They got you in and he followed and they were off to the hospital. His hand never left yours and it would stay like that as long as they didn’t need it and thankfully, they didn’t. Everything was blocked out for Tim all he could hear was the rhythmic sound of your heartbeat and your unconscious form, when you passed out, he didn’t even know. He couldn’t lose you not now, not ever. Finally, the ambulance arrived at the hospital and you were ushered in and taken to surgery immediately and left Tim out in the waiting room. Not even 10 minutes later here came Jackson, Angela, Nolan, Harper, Lucy, Wesley, and even Grey. They spotted him immediately.
“How is she?” Nolan asked
“Don’t know yet. They rushed her back to surgery. Wesely, I have to thank you for being there and keeping pressure on her wound.” Tim said, looking at Wesley at the end.
“She asked me to stop by and I’m glad I did. I hope she’s going to be ok.” He spoke
“She will be. Have you not seen who her dad is? Also, she is a Bradford.” Angela said and everyone chuckled and Tim smiled. Finally, the doctor came out and Tim was quick to get up and walk to him.
“She is going to be ok. The bullet didn’t do major damage but just one more centimeter and it would’ve hit her kidney. All intestines were spared. We repaired everything and got the bullet out and I’m happy to say she’ll make a full recovery.” He said and Tim sighed in relief “You can see her now. She may be a little groggy but that is to be expected.” He said and Tim nodded.
“Give me a second.” Tim said and the doctor nodded. Tim walked over and told them what he was told and everyone sighed in relief.
“You go and be with your daughter. Someone will bring your bag by and your truck from the café. I’ll let the garage know that you won’t be picking up The Bronco tonight.” Grey said and Tim nodded.
“Thank you.” He said
“Now go. Tell her we say hi, we love her and are proud of her.” Wesley said everyone nodded in agreement and he nodded and headed in the direction of the doctor who took him to your room.
“Remember she will be groggy and may be in some pain. If you need anything or if something goes wrong just press the button.” He said and Tim once again nodded and then was left with you. He walked over and sat down. You must’ve sensed that he was there because you started to wake up.
“Daddy?” You asked and looked over at him.
“I’m here, Sweetheart.” He said
“I’m sorry.” You said and he looked at you confused.
“For what?” He asked
“For trying to stop the robbery.” You said
“Sweetheart, it is ok. You did stop it. Even though you got shot it gave Mark and Remi enough time to tackle him.” He said
“I did good?” You asked and he nodded.
“You did excellent. I’m so proud of you.” He said and leaned up and kissed your forehead. You could barely keep your eyes open due to the anesthesia left in your body.
“Get some sleep. I’ll be here when you wake up. Oh, and everybody says hi and that they love you and are so proud of you.” He said and you nodded with a smile as you closed your eyes and got comfortable.
“I love you, Dad.” You said and he smiled and cradled your face with one hand and you leaned into it.
“I love you too, Sweetheart. Get some sleep.” He repeated the last part and he waited until your breath evened out before taking his hand away slowly and leaned up and kissed your forehead. He sat back down and let the tears fall. He could’ve lost you today but he didn’t and he was so glad about that. He doesn’t know what would’ve happened if he had lost you but he doesn’t have to think about that because he could hear your steady heartbeat projected by the monitor and he could see your chest rising and falling. He held your hand and stroked your knuckles. “You did excellent, Sweetheart. I’m so proud of you.” He said again but softly and quietly and then sat back just watching. You were going to be ok.

Request for Anon (Yandere Hybrid Juyeon) 4.9k, yandere, hybrid, claw marks, bruising, non-con, alcohol, tipsy behavior, assault, manipulation (@starillusion13)
“Happy Birthday!”
You screamed with joy as you entered your apartment. All your friends had gathered around to throw you a surprise party for your birthday. Of course they knew where the spare key was, so it was easy to let themselves in and set everything up. They all came over to hug you and wish you well.
“Okay, I know it’s early, but we have a special present for you in your room.”
“It better not be a stripper.”
“You’d kill us if we did that.”
“You know it.”
Your friends led you over to your bedroom, having you close your eyes as you stepped in. When you opened them you saw a cute little cat hybrid sitting on your bed. He offered you a big smile and came over to hug you.
“You got me a hybrid?”
“Gotta start somewhere with the lonely cat lady thing.”
“Ya!”
“Kidding, but we thought it would be nice to have someone around.”
“Thanks.”
The party had only just begun, so you let the hybrid wander around the house and get to know the place while you hung out with friends. It was a great night, and it wasn’t until the early morning that everyone headed out. You were exhausted but happy nonetheless. Once everyone was gone you did a bit of cleaning and then got in the shower. You dried off and collapsed into bed, ready to sleep the day away. Just as you were drifting off you felt the bed dip and opened your eyes to see your new hybrid crawling in, a cute smile on their face. You reached over to pet their head softly.
“Do you have a name cutie, or shall I give you one?”
“I’m Juyeon.”
“Pretty, I like it. I’m y/n. Are you from a shelter?”
“Yes.”
“Have you had an owner before?”
“No.”
“Hm, I’ll admit, I’ve never had a pet before, but I will do my best to take care of you.”
Juyeon leaned closer to nuzzle your face, making you giggle. The two of you wound up sleeping together. It was the weekend and you usually preferred to stay in bed, but you still had some clean up to do. When you got up Juyeon was still sound asleep, so you let him rest. As you finished cleaning up you heard some footsteps, seeing a sleepy Juyeon coming into the kitchen, rubbing the sleep from his eyes.
“Good morning.”
“Morning.” Juyeon yawned.
“Are you hungry?”
“Hm.”
“What can you eat? Do you have any diet restrictions?”
“No. I can eat normal food. I don’t know if I’m allergic to anything though.”
“Right. We’ll have something simple for breakfast then.”
You made some eggs, which Juyeon happily ate. As you two had breakfast you looked over Juyeon’s paperwork. Everything was done for the adoption, but you still needed to take him to the vet and register him. Of course he wasn’t a fan of that, but he had to go. You stayed as he got all his shots and then finished up the rest of his papers. Afterwards you got lunch and went shopping, getting Juyeon some clothes and toys. He insisted on a collar though, wanting to proudly show he had a home.
You got to know each other more over the weekend, the two of you beginning a new chapter of your lives together. Juyeon was a big cuddler, so whenever you sat down he’d find you and wrap you up in his arms. He was very well behaved and communicated with you if he had any concerns or was curious about something.  He was very cute, and it was such a nice treat to have him welcome you home everyday. Of course he didn’t want to be some average pet, so he was always wanting to take on new tasks. He’d help around the house, watched you as you cooked so he could do it too, even watched some videos to see what else he could do for you.
It felt like he was more of a companion and friend than some pet, and that was great on both ends. Since he was so well behaved there was no problem taking him out with you when you went shopping. He also had plenty of things to entertain himself with in the house while you were gone. And when you were around he stuck very close. He’d go so far as to sit on the floor in the bathroom while you took a bath, with a blindfold on of course. He was the best present you ever had, and you really thought nothing would ever bother him, but there had to be something.
“Juyeon.”
“Hm?”
“I’m having a friend over tonight.”
“A friend?”
“Yeah. I have this big project at work that needs to get finished and he’s helping me out with it.”
“He?”
“Yup. He’ll be coming home with me later today.”
“Oh… okay… are you gonna lock me in the room?”
“What? No. Why would I do that? You’re the best behaved kitty in the world. I’ll see you later.”
🖤
You did double check with your coworker to make sure they were alright with coming over to your place, and that they weren’t allergic to cats. You called out to Juyeon when you got home, making sure he greeted your guest and wouldn’t just pop up later and scare them. The two of you settled in the living room, going over the details of the project. On occasion Juyeon would come over, hovering around you, and unbeknownst to you, throwing glares at your coworker. His purrs and nuzzling would get your attention and you’d have to politely ask him not to distract you as this was very important work.
“Excuse me for a moment, Jacob.”
“Yeah, no problem.”
Once you were gone Juyeon pounced on the couch, taking your seat. At first Jacob paid the cat no attention, but he could feel the feline’s stare burrowing into him.
“Hi kitty.”
“Don’t call me that.”
“Okay… then-”
“What’s your goal?”
“Huh?”
“What do you want from y/n?”
“Uh, right now I just want to finish this project. Or at least make good progress today.”
“And nothing else?”
“Wait, I see what this is. Are you worried I’m going to date your owner?”
“You’re not gonna date her.”
“I’m just here to work. I have no other intentions.”
“Then leave.”
“Excuse me?”
“Get out. I don’t want you anywhere near y/n.”
“Awe, is someone jealous?”
Juyeon hissed before hearing your approaching footsteps. He quickly scrambled away, leaving Jacob with a little chuckle. Unfortunately Juyeon’s warning was ignored, and this wasn’t gonna be the last time he heard about this Jacob. A few days later Juyeon overheard you talking on the phone.
“Yeah I can talk, what’s up, Jacob?”
Juyeon’s ears perked up when he heard the name. You were in the kitchen making dinner, so he quietly made his way over, listening in on the conversation.
“Yeah, I’m free this Friday… I’m down for dinner… that sounds great, I’ll see you tomorrow, okay, bye now.”
Juyeon didn’t like any of that at all. Since Jacob had just laughed in his face before he knew he couldn’t just ask you not to go, but he could do something else. While you were away at work Friday morning Juyeon went through your things, finding your makeup. Now of course he had no idea what he was doing, but he just needed to borrow a bit. When he heard you at the door he scrambled to your room and hid under the blankets. He didn’t answer you as you called for him, and eventually you made your way to him.
“Juyeon, baby, are you alright?”
It was strange for Juyeon not to greet you at the door, and finding him curled up in bed worried you. As you pulled back the blankets you could see him shaking, breathing a bit uneven, slightly pale. You reached over to touch his head, feeling that he was hotter than usual.
“Juyeon, are you sick?”
Juyeon merely whimpered, trying to pull up the blanket. You tucked him back in and went to get the thermometer, wanting to check his temperature. You stepped away for a moment when your phone rang, seeing that it was Jacob.
“Hey, Jacob, I’m glad you called. I’m afraid I’m gonna have to rain-check on dinner.”
“Is everything okay?”
“Yeah, yeah. I just got home and Juyeon seems to be running a fever. I can’t leave him by himself.”
“No, no, I get it. You got your priorities as a cat mom. We can go out for dinner some other time.”
“Thanks.”
“You have a great weekend, hope Juyeon gets better.”
“You too, bye-bye now.”
Juyeon couldn’t help the smile on his face. He came first in your life, and that was all he needed to know. You took care of him over the weekend, glad to see he recovered and didn’t require a visit to the vets office. Although by the end of next week you felt quite ill, needing to stay in bed. Juyeon was more than happy to look after you, glad he could return the favor. You did find it a bit silly, having your pet looking after you, but it was just another reason to adore him. You really were grateful to have Juyeon in your life.
While Juyeon was making you some soup he heard a knock at the door. He wasn’t expecting anyone, and you hadn’t mentioned any guests or deliveries. Still, he didn’t want the noise to wake you so he rushed over, opening the door without thinking. That was his mistake as he was now staring at Jacob. The boy had a smile on his face which quickly turned coy when he saw Juyeon open the door.
“Hey, I came by to drop off some food and medicine for y/n. Is it alright if I come in?”
“No. She’s sleeping.”
“Oh, well could you at least-”
“She’s already taking medicine, so she doesn’t need anymore, and I’m cooking for her.”
“You know how to cook?”
“Juyeon… who is it?”
You had heard some commotion, realizing Juyeon was talking to someone. You tried calling out to Juyeon but he didn’t hear you so you got up. When you stepped out into the hall you noticed Juyeon was at the door so you made your way over.
“Y/n! You shouldn’t be out of bed!”
“It’s okay, I’m not that sick.” You noticed Jacob out in the hall. “Jacob, what are you doing here?”
“You mentioned you were feeling a bit under the weather the other day so I thought I’d stop by to check on you. Glad I did, I brought you some medicine, and porridge.”
“Thank you, I really appreciate it.”
“No problem. I hope you get better soon.”
“She will.” Juyeon assured. “Goodbye now.”
Jacob tried to hand you the things he had brought but Juyeon took them instead, shutting the door in Jacob’s face. He ushered you back to bed, tucking you in this time and telling you he’d be back in a bit after he checked on the food. As he stepped out he heard a knock again. Juyeon rolled his eyes and went to answer, Jacob still standing there.
“What?”
“I just wanted to talk to you for a moment.”
“About? This better be quick.”
“Yeah, yeah, I just wanted to tell you to be careful.”
“Huh?”
“You should be nice to the people around y/n, you don’t want her getting the wrong impression about you. You’re just her pet after all.”
“Is this some kind of threat?”
“Just a warning.”
“Well, in that case, fuck off.” Juyeon hissed. “I don’t like you, and I don’t want you anywhere near y/n. If you try anything, you’ll regret it.”
“We’ll see about that.”
🖤
You got better over the weekend and returned to work as normal on Monday. The big project you had been working on before was finally done and had been approved. It was great to be done with that and move on to the next one.
“So, y/n, how’s Juyeon?”
“Oh he’s great!”
When Jacob asked you about Juyeon you excitedly pulled out your phone and showed him some pictures.
“He’s so cute.”
“How did you get him again?”
“Juyeon was a birthday gift from my friends. They told me I could use a companion and should start on the lonely cat lady vibes.”
“I see. Did your friends get him from a shelter?”
“Yeah.”
“And you’re sure he didn’t have any previous owners?”
“What? Why?”
“I’ve heard some shelters will lie about the hybrid’s history just to get them adopted. Sometimes the hybrid bounces around from one place to another, or even attacks their owner.”
“Juyeon is not like that.”
“You should still be careful, you haven’t had him that long. He’s not just a cat, but part human you know.”
“… well yeah…”
You couldn’t shake Jacob’s words, even though they were ridiculous. You had heard stories of hybrids getting aggressive with people, even their owners. Juyeon had been nothing but sweet with you, but there were things you came to question. You left Juyeon alone everyday with no restrictions. He knew where the spare key was, and did a lot of things around the house so you never paid much attention to anything. When you came home that day Juyeon happily greeted you, but your eyes darted elsewhere.
Nothing seemed to be out of place, and there wasn’t anything new that you didn’t recognize. You were honestly just being paranoid and tried to put it out of your mind, but these thoughts persisted. Juyeon had made something for dinner, and you cautiously ate. Come bed time you told Juyeon you still felt sick and asked him to sleep in his own room. He usually slept with you, but he understood the request, even if it upset him. Without really meaning to you kept a bit of a distance from Juyeon, becoming more curious and concerned.
“Juyeon.”
“Hm?”
“What do you do all day?”
“What do you mean?”
“Besides waiting for me, what do you do? Watch TV? Cook? Go out with friends? Bring friends over…”
“What!? Go out? I… there’s nowhere I’d want to go without you… I just sleep, maybe clean a bit, but not much. Why?”
“No reason, just curious since I leave you alone all day.”
“I don’t mind. You come home to me at the end of the day.”
“Yeah.”
“Is everything okay though?”
“Huh? Yeah, why?”
“You… you’ve been a bit distant… and… well… did I do something wrong?”
“No. Not at all.”
“Did something happen?”
“I…” You sighed. “One of my coworkers told me to be weary of hybrids and stuff, and I let it get to my head. I’m sorry. There’s no reason I shouldn’t trust you.”
“Oh… who said that?”
“It was just-”
“Jacob?”
“… how do you know that?”
“He doesn’t like me.”
“Huh?”
“When he was here last time… he kept giving me looks… I wanted him to leave… I wanted to tell you something but… you said the project was important…”
“Oh, Juyeon, I’m so sorry.” You went over to hug him. “I had no idea he was like that.”
“It’s not your fault… not everyone likes hybrids…”
“I like you, I like you a lot Juyeon. I’d never want someone like that to be near you. I’m sorry I didn’t realize sooner.”
“I know I’m just a hybrid… and he’s… a person…”
“That doesn’t mean anything. You deserve just as much love and respect as anyone else.”
You grabbed Juyeon’s face, softly petting him and getting a smile out of him. You felt awful for having hurt him. You wanted to make it up to him, making his favorites and showering him with love and attention.
“You love me… right?”
“Juyeon, of course. You’re the best kitty I could ever ask for.”
Even though you kept apologizing to Juyeon, you still had to do the right thing. When you had a chance you asked to speak to Jacob in private. The two of you went over to an empty conference room. You weren’t sure how to bring up the subject, but he provided a perfect segway.
“How’s Juyeon?”
“That’s the thing… do you have a problem with hybrids?”
“What?”
“The other day you had told me to be weary of hybrids and that messed me up.”
“Why? Did Juyeon-”
“No! He’s a good hybrid, and hasn’t done anything bad. He was worried I hated him.”
“I-”
“Just cause you have a problem with hybrids doesn’t mean you need to push that onto me.”
“I’m not! Why are you so protective over him?”
“Cause he’s my hybrid? Why wouldn’t I be?”
“Are you sure there’s not more?”
“Excuse me? What the hell are you implying.”
“I’ve heard-”
“You know what, nevermind. Just keep your prejudices to yourself.”
🖤
There was a slight tension between you and Jacob going forward but you kept things professional. You were coworkers above all, and no one commented on your relationship either.
“Juyeon, I’m gonna be out late tonight, so-”
“What? Why!?”
“Company dinner.”
“Do you have to go?” Juyeon whined. “I don’t wanna be alone.”
“It’s not something I can avoid.”
“But… please…”
“Juyeon.”
“Just go for a little bit, and then come home.”
“I… well I guess that’s not a bad idea.”
“See! Then together we can order food and watch TV, that sounds way better!”
“Okay. I’ll be home a little late tonight.”
“Awesome.”
Juyeon was very excited for the evening, so he made sure to clean up and set the mood. He had a few ideas for snacks and food, which would be decided later. There was still a couple hours before you got home, so Juyeon took a nap to help pass the time. For you work was simple, like any other day, and everyone was excited for the team dinner. At the end of the day you all went to a restaurant together. A round of drinks were ordered, and you only had a few with some light snacks. You stayed for a while before apologizing and excusing yourself.
“What do you mean you’re leaving?” A coworker asked. “The night is still young.”
“I know, but I promised Juyeon I wouldn’t be out late. I don’t want to leave him alone either.”
“He can take care of himself.” Jacob commented.
You threw a glare his way. “I’ll see you all next week.”
You waved goodbye to the others and made your way home. Juyeon happily greeted you and jumped into your arms.
“Hi, hi, I’m home.”
“Finally!” Juyeon whined. “You took forever.”
“But I’m here now.”
“Yeah, and why do you smell like alcohol?”
“I had a few drinks, but I’m okay. So, what movie have you picked out? And what are we having?”
You changed into some comfy clothes, ordering food and plopping down on the couch. Soon enough Juyeon joined you and pulled you close for cuddles. He got the door when the food arrived, making sure you were all comfy. Even though you both had been looking forward to the night, it had been a long day for you, plus some drinks, it wasn’t long before you were dozing off. Juyeon didn’t mind though, letting you rest in his arms. He softly ran his fingers through your hair, breathing in your scent.
“You should stay here with me.” Juyeon mumbled. “Where I can keep an eye on you, always. The world doesn’t deserve you.”
Juyeon leaned in close, pressing a soft kiss to your head. A giggle escaped your lips, and he found it so cute. He pressed a few more kisses against your skin, liking where things were going. Yet he had to restrain himself. Holding you in his arms was enough for now. His hands trailed around your body. He couldn’t help how smooth your skin was, and decided to do something a little risky. He drew out his claws, pushing down your shirt just a bit to expose your shoulder. Then he lightly nicked your skin, drawing the letter J on your back. He stared at the mark with a content smile, his own little stamp.
When the movie ended Juyeon helped you to bed, gently laying you down and letting you sleep while he cleaned up. He joined you when he was done, cuddling with you in his arms. Come morning he thought to let you sleep in, but to his surprise by the time he woke up you were already out of bed and in the kitchen. He sleepily made his way over to you, coming up from behind to hug you and rest his head on your shoulder. You chuckled and pressed a soft kiss to his cheek.
“I’m sorry about last night.”
“It’s okay, it was nice to just be with you.”
“I can make it up to you today. Whatever you want to do.”
“Anything?”
“What do you have in mind?”
“Drinks?”
“You wanna drink?”
“I want to try it, at least once.”
“Hm. I’ll have to double check to make sure it’s safe, but alright.”
“Really!?”
“Sure.”
Juyeon was so excited he kissed your cheek, getting a chuckle out of you. He cautiously peeked under your shirt to see the mark he made, pressing a soft kiss against it. You promised drinks, so you double checked to make sure if anything in particular would be bad for his health, then the two of you went out to shop. There were a variety of drinks to choose from and flavors, so Juyeon was very excited as he browsed. You bought some food as well and made your way home. Juyeon set everything up again like last night and brought over some glasses, happily letting you pour him a drink.
“To the best owner ever.” Juyeon toasted.
“To the best hybrid ever.”
You watched Juyeon take a sip fist, seeing that sour face of his and laughing. Still, he persisted and you drank from your glass as well. The two of you settle on the couch, having a few drinks in you before you started getting ditzy. You were a lightweight, and Juyeon kept up with you a decent amount. He seemed to be taking the alcohol better than you. Since he liked your state so much he put on some music and pulled you close to slow dance, guiding your hand.
“Isn’t this perfect?” Juyeon mumbled. “Just me and you.”
“Hm…”
“It should always be this way. I don’t need anyone else, and neither do you.”
“Juyeon.”
“Yes?”
“You’re cute.”
“As are you.” Juyeon nuzzled your neck. “You’re mine.”
“Mine…”
Juyeon started pressing soft kisses to your neck, his lips trailing up until they met yours. He leaned in close, hungry for a deep taste of you. It wasn’t until you were both out of breath that he pulled away. He knew you were tipsy and probably wouldn’t remember the night, but he didn’t care. In this moment you were all his.
🖤
“Juyeon…”
“Good morning.”
“Hm…”
You opened your eyes, finding yourself wrapped up in Juyeon’s arms. You snuggled against him, trying to ignore the bits of hangover you were feeling.
“Did you sleep alright?” Juyeon asked.
“Yeah… you?”
“Never better.”
“Shall I get some hangover soup?”
“We can go get some in a bit.”
“Okay, if you say so.”
“Juyeon…”
“Hm?”
“Your anniversary is coming up.”
“My anniversary?”
“Six months of us being together… six months since I got you…”
“Wow, has it been that long?”
“Yeah, we should celebrate. What do you say?”
“Sure. We can have a party.”
“Cool. I’ll invite my friends over. I’m sure they’d love to see you.”
“That sounds fun.”
“Awesome!”
You were excited to celebrate Juyeon, and he was too. You talked about what to prepare, and you went over the guest list with him, already knowing who to black list. Through the week you mentioned your party to your coworkers, and you also texted your friends. Everyone was excited to come over and see Juyeon again, especially now that he’s grown. Although even if you were happy for the weekend, someone was keeping an eye on you.
Ever since the company dinner Jacob had been weary of your home life. Leaving early for a pet, that was ridiculous, and some of the other employees thought so too. Still, after the last conversation you two had, Jacob figured it was best to keep a distance. Maybe he was wrong in being suspicious or he was simply sticking his nose in someone else’s business. Yet he couldn’t shake the feeling that something was off. He had heard rumors of you throwing a little party for Juyeon, and of course he wasn’t invited. There wasn’t really a problem with that until he noticed something odd. Jacob was passing by your desk when he noticed a purple mark just under the collar of your shirt.
“Are you okay?”
“Huh?”
“What happened to your neck?”
“What are you talking about?”
“You have a bruise.”
Jacob reached over and pulled down your collar, seeing the purple mark and recognizing it as a hickey. Then he noticed a scratch, seeing the letter J.
“What the hell are you doing!?”
You jumped up from your seat and shoved Jacob away from you. For days now you two hadn’t really spoken, and now he’s just yanking on your clothes. Your screaming brought forth a crowd, and everyone wanted to know what was going on.
“What is your problem?”
“You have a bruise and-”
“That doesn’t give you the right to touch me!”
“I-”
“Stay away from me!”
You had to put the whole incident with Jacob behind you and just focus on happier things. When you got home Juyeon greeted you, excited for the night, and he also greeted the guests as they arrived. He was getting all the attention as he was the star of the party. Although he did keep you close, still a bit nervous with all these people around. It was a good night until the party crasher showed up. It was Juyeon’s only concern.
“Who let you in?”
You noticed Jacob by the door, rushing over to him before anyone noticed something was up. You tried to shove him out, but he held his ground. He grabbed your arm and pulled you closer to him.
“Jacob!”
“Has he been hurting you?”
“What?!”
“I told you hybrids could be dangerous.”
“Jacob-”
“You have a bruise, no, a fucken hickey! And claw marks, are you-”
“What are you talking about?”
“Haven’t you noticed? Or… you haven’t seen it, have you?
“I don’t-”
“No one invited you!”
Juyeon was quick to notice you were gone, and then began to hear some low yelling. He quickly rushed over and pulled you away from Jacob, hissing.
“You! What have you been doing to y/n!? She’s all marked up and bruised because of you!”
“I don’t know what you’re talking about!”
It was pissing Juyeon off that Jacob even knew about such things, but that wasn’t important right now. The two were glaring at each other, and you tugged at Juyeon, but he wouldn’t budge.
“Jacob, I need you to leave, or I’ll call security.”
“Call them, your hybrid needs to be removed!”
“Jacob!”
“Take that back!”
Juyeon didn’t hesitate to jump at Jacob, claws out. He scratched his face a bit before you yanked him back.
“Juyeon, stop it!”
“I want him gone!” Juyeon yelled. “If I see him again-”
“Juyeon, that’s enough, come on. This isn’t-”
Juyeon pulled you close and away from Jacob, hissing at the boy. You had to pull him further into the house, having drawn attention. It seemed the party was over. Some of your other coworkers took Jacob, and then it was just you and Juyeon. You were relieved the issue was over, for now, and collapsed to the floor.
“Y/n…” Juyeon mumbled. “I… I’m sorry…”
“Are you okay?”
“I am… what about you? I didn’t mean to ruin the night…”
“It’s not your fault. This was your party and I… I’m sorry.”
“You didn’t invite him, right?”
“No, no I didn’t…”
“What was he doing here?”
“He said I had bruises and marks on my back, but I feel fine. He keeps trying to push this idea that you’ve hurt me.”
“I would never do such a thing.” Juyeon whined.
“I know, I know.”
“Maybe you should get another job.”
“You know that’s not a bad idea.”
“Work from home maybe.”
You chuckled. “So I don’t leave the house?”
“That would be ideal.”
“I’ll consider it. We should still make the most of the night, it was your party after all.”
“It’s okay.”
“Come on, I did get you a cake.”
You got up and took Juyeon’s hand, taking him over to the kitchen. You got the cake out of the fridge, getting a candle and lighting it as well. Juyeon watched you with wide eyes, a precious smile on his face.
“Happy six month anniversary.” You smiled. “Make a wish.”
Juyeon closed his eyes and made his wish before blowing out the candles and then leaned over to press a kiss on your cheek. Things may not have gone to plan this night, but he was happy nonetheless.
“What did you wish for?”
“I just wish to have you in my life.”
“I already am.”
“Then my wish came true.”

Sunflower shirts and gravestones
___________________
When Sam awoke, the first thing he noticed was the urn.
He lifted his head and saw the pillow he slept on became damp. ‘Fell asleep crying again.’ He thought, not even trying to make the effort to get out of bed.
But unfortunately, fate had others plans. “Morning!” He heard, from the door frame of his room Duncan came in with some breakfast. “Hope you’re hungry.”
Sam groaned as he pulled his blanket over his head, this was supposed to be his depressive morning and his cousin decided it’d be a good day. “C’mon you, we’ve got a big day ahead!” Said the sandy brunette.
“… ‘m not hungry.” Sam said, keeping himself away from Duncan and stared at the closed curtains. “C’mon, you’ve gotta at least be-.” Duncan stopped mid sentence, seeing his tear stained face after removing the covers.
“… have you fallen asleep crying?” Duncan asked. Sam said nothing but crossed his arms, unreadable emotion and not responding. He heard Duncan sigh then mumbled. “Still better then Travis.”
Giving Sam some curiosity to turn his head and ask. “Who?”
“Just a friend… actually my best friend, we we’re there through thick and thin.” He answered, trying hard not to think about it too much, but it seemed he did cause his sad smile turned into a frown.
“He went missing for 5 days, on the 6th I thought everything would be fine and back to normal… then he started to never leave his house.” Duncan told him, slouching as he continued more to this story.
“I just.. don’t know what happened, or where he went that-.” Duncan was about to say, but cut himself off before he could finish. “I’m sorry, I can’t tell you.”
Is what he left before breaking down silently. Sam placed a hand on his shoulder, gave him his usual sad look before asking. “Did he die?” Making Duncan snort and shake his head.
“No, he’s still alive. I tend to do shopping for him in the mornings.” He answered wiping his eyes, stood up to leave and then stopped, turning to Sam.
“Sorry it’s not the same, but just know… you’re not going through it alone.” Then left the room for Sam to be with his thoughts. Sam looked at the tray of breakfast, then back to the door frame.
He had many second thoughts… but the one that stuck with him the most was how his cousin felt about loosing a friend like ‘Travis’ and what harm it can do.
Sam still didn’t eat the food. But he got changed, grabbed the silver urn, followed to where Duncan could be and saw he was already dressed, about to leave for the day. “You need anything from the market?”
He asked, hand on the door knob, waiting for sam to answer. All Sam did is shook his head. Before he turns away, thinking it was stupid to ask, Duncan said what he wanted to say. “Wanna help? I could use an extra hand.”
Sam sighed in relief and nodded, following Duncan out the door and still followed to where the markets are in the town. Duncan asked to leave the ‘vase’ inside but Sam refused.
He hopes whatever happens wouldn’t have dire consequences when he brings his mom with him.
I mean, what harm could an urn with his mom’s ashes do in pine town?
___________________
Ok, so apparently ashes do count as a deceased person so…
I’m definitely going to make that a problem for pine town. Anyways, I am back on this train again, hope I won’t derail from it like my other au’s hope it’s not too much…
I guess treat yourself to some food? I dunno.

Throes of Increasing Wonder
A/N: I have no clue what to work on, so here’s another part to the Bravely Default AU. Yes, I was listening to the ITWV soundtrack and I should be working on my vampire AU, but my brain is not having it. But, uh, hope y’all enjoy this. Also, I have comms and requests open if y’all are interested.
Shadow knew he was riling Static up with his mere presence, which is why he went out of his way not to offend anyone else in the party. Sandy liked him well enough, Krystal was coming around to him, and Pink, well, Shadow wasn’t sure about the panther, but if his expressions were anything to go by; Shadow had the man nearly wrapped around his finger.
Generally, Shadow stuck close to his Archduchess after the near fight that broke out. He would love to see Static try and kill him. So, when Sandy grabbed his hand to lead him into a shop, he reveled in it.
And Static was. . .churlish. He wouldn’t make eye contact with either Shadow or Sandy and offered one-word responses to questions. So, when night fell and the group split up to go to their respective rooms, Shadow knew exactly what he was doing by following Sandy toward the room.
“Hold on,” Static said. Ah, two words, an improvement. “You’re not going in there,”
Sandy paused in the doorway, turning to face the two men. “Yes, he is. He’s keepin’ watch tonight n my room’s closest to a window,” she said, turning to head into the room.
Static frowned. He knew Sandy could take care of herself if push came to shove. It was Shadow he didn’t trust. “Sure, let the guy that almost killed us keep watch,” he mumbled, rolling his eyes.
“If you’re so against it, then you can keep watch,” Shadow said. “I have things to attend to,”
“Like what?”
“Speaking with my Archduchess, y’know, like a normal person,” he answered, grinning as Static clenched his fists. “It’s customary to court before–”
“She’s not some prize,”
Shadow looked at Static then, humming quizzically. “I can assure you she won’t be treated as such,” he replied. “She’s far more important than some conquest,” After all, Shadow had shown her what his home looked like, and what his plans were if she agreed to be with him.
He just needed her utmost trust and consent in the matter.
***
Static had no idea what Shadow was up to. Besides making his blood boil. He leaned against the door of his room, eventually getting ready for bed. He lay in bed, hearing Sandy’s familiar, muffled voice. He scoffed as Shadow’s baritone answered some question and his resulting laugh at whatever Sandy said next.
He wasn’t jealous, he was just looking out for Sandy. And if killing Shadow helped, then Static would help. It wasn’t good for her health to be around a vampire. Much less one that called her his Archduchess. Seriously? What was that guy’s problem?
***
Sandy woke up the next morning refreshed and ready to start the day. She stretched, her muscles popping as she did so.
“Morning,” Shadow said, carrying a tray of food. “I figured you’d enjoy breakfast without leaving bed,” he continued, offering the tray to her.
Sandy blinked, looking at the tray then at Shadow. “That’s sweet n all, but we gotta hit the road,” she said, getting out of bed and gathering her clothes to get clean. She set the tray down on the table by the bed, quickly eating a piece of bread and fried ham. “Thank you,” she said as she finished and left to wash up.
She met Krystal in the hallway, smiling at the other woman as they entered the bathhouse.
“So,” Krystal started. “How did watch go last night?”
“It was fine, ‘specially since Shadow don’t gotta sleep at night,” Sandy answered. “Slept like a Skitty in the sun,” she joked, washing her face.
“And how are things with Shadow?” Krystal asked, chuckling as Sandy blushed.
“Fine, they’re fine,” she answered a bit too quickly. “He, uh, brought me breakfast…no one’s ever done that before fer me,” she continued, clearing her throat. “B-but, y’know, we’re jus’ companions, no more n no less,”
Krystal simply nodded, taking Sandy’s word for it. If Sandy had a crush, then Krystal would keep her mouth shut about it so Static wouldn’t throw another fit.
Sandy had never brought up the fact that Shadow called her his Archduchess; whatever made the man more comfortable and all. After all, she wasn’t complaining about the new title. If anyone had a problem with it, it was Static. And the poor boy wouldn’t let it go. Talk about petty.
Sandy finished washing up as her thoughts lingered on Shadow. He wasn’t a bad guy, far from it, in fact; he was just. . .a bit outdated, but what vampire wasn’t?
Whatever feelings she had for him, she would deal with it when the time came.

I Promise Not to Title This One “Doggone Shame”
Hey there, sapient vending machines. Back at it with the MLP comics! One of the nice things about these is that I rarely need to do a long preamble. ...
...Here's the cover:
Tumblr media
This is kind of a basic cover, but it's at least nice-looking. It's pleasant to look at, and it's fairly indicative of the contents! That's a win in my book! Not much to say on it, so here's the recap: Magic's gone wonky here in the G5 timeline, and the culprit is a missing Pegasus Crystal. Turns out, Discord is alive and... maybe not well, but alive at least. He's decided ponies will be much happier without any magic, so he's planning to destroy the crystal. And Sunny and her friends are desperate to stop him. But they gotta find him first!
So our pony heroes are pacing and fretting about how they're going to find Discord. Pipp suggests letting her followers know, but they don't want to cause a mass panic. Better keep it to themselves for now. Izzy suggests it's a shame they can't track Discord's aura. Zipp agrees, but starts to put together another idea, implying there may be something else they can track. Before she can elaborate, though, she gets a call from her mom. Turns out she's promised her time to dogsit for Cloudpuff, and completely forgot. Mom won't hear anything else about it, so she's stuck.
Sunny at least puts a positive spin on it, in that she can at least search Zephyr Heights for Discord. No way out but reassured by her friends, Zipp returns to her mother's house. Cloudpuff is deposited on her head and Queen Mom leaves for the night. Zipp doesn't have time for Cloudpuff's rigamarole, just leaving him with basic necessities. Zipp hits the streets, and quickly follows a familiar red tail. But it turns out to not be Discord, just a pony wearing a dragon kigurumi. A Terezi cosplayer, perhaps. Disappointed, Zipp flies off.
Zipp does a big search, even showing various drawings of Discord's mismatching parts. But nopony has any leads. Defeated, she returns home and leaves Cloudpuff his dinner. Next morning, though, food's still there and untouched. Removing the blanket, Zipp discovers not only is Cloudpuff missing, he's also constructed a crude replica of himself using a volleyball. Hey, that's some useful scaling information! But Zipp can't appreciate how this benefits us readers, she's too distraught that she can't find the dog she was responsible for.
After a frantic moment of searches, Zipp calms down. She won't find him in a panic, she just needs some help. So she calls in her most reliable and animal-loving friend: Hitch. The pair deduce that if Cloudpuff missed dinner, he'd try to get food somewhere else. And being a picky eater, this narrows the choices. Hey, same! And indeed, he did come by Chez Pedigree last night. The maitre d' did indeed see Cloudpuff, but doesn't know where he might've gone. He does posit that the Queen often takes him shopping after lunch, so they head there.
They soon locate a shop using Cloudpuff in their advertising, and the clerk mentions that Cloudpuff did indeed come by last night and do some modeling. She also correctly deduces that if they're here asking about him, he didn't go home last night. Their leads have dried up, though--at least among ponies. Instead, Hitch uses his magical powers to talk to animals to interrogate a nearby bunny who indicates he might know something. And the bunny leads them out of town, out to some ledges with more bunnies waiting.
The bunnies lead them to an odd cliff, which turns out to be a trick of perspective. From pony height, it looks like a solid cliff wall, but at animal height, a cave opening becomes clear. And inside the cave is Cloudpuff! He's relaxing and maxing all cool next to a running spring. Zipp makes an apology to Cloudpuff for her inattentive care, and Hitch translates an answer back: Cloudpuff agrees to come home if his special getaway here is kept a secret. Zipp agrees, and the pair return home.
The queen's already home, but since Zipp has Cloudpuff with her, there's no suspicion. She was just out with him getting some fresh air. The queen is glad to see them both, and thanks Zipp for her troubles. Zipp, of course, replies that he was no tribble at all. The comic ends with the other pony friends back at Sunny's place wondering when the others will arrive, and Izzy calls it pretty much down to the minute. They didn't get up to much. Adventure, mystery, intrigue... You know, normal dogsitting stuff~
This is a pretty basic story. It’s perfect for the target demographic, of course, no complaints there. I know this isn’t for me. I actually do find it interesting. See, now we’ve got a plot hook in the Discord thing, we’re just gonna let that simmer in the background. This isn’t a multi-part story arc, this is an ongoing plot.  Everyday life still goes on around the ponies, and everypony else is blissfully unaware of the thing that’s so important to them. This is actually a really interesting way to do it. Let’s you get a variety of stories, while occasionally checking in on the main plot, so it doesn’t get too stale by frontloading all the Discord content. Makes each issue more standalone, while still having an ongoing element. Honestly, I wish more modern comics did this. Wouldn’t that be nice to read a single superhero story that began and ended within the same issue~?
Next issue: After a day with Zipp, seems only fair to give her sister the spotlight~

this what i think bts love language is
a/n: this just my thoughts besties i ain’t do no formal type of research or nun just let my lil imagination sprint 🥸🤪
namjoon:
physical affection/words of affirmation
okay so i said physical affection for one bc like he seem to like initiate contact with people around him a lot
like in interviews he be having his hand on whoever next to him thigh or like when he be performing if it’s someone next to him he throws his arms around them a lot
not to mention like whenever jimin or jk or whoever start feeling up on him he never rejects it or makes a face or anything like yoongi does he just accepts it
like there’s so many stage clips where jimin will come and rest his chin on joon’s shoulder and he just lets him
or jk will just start touching on him some way grabbing his arms or sumn and it doesn’t phase him at all
another example is like on day 2 of sowoozoo when tae randomly came and linked arms with him and hobi during mikrokosmos hobi was like 🥴🥴 but joon was just 😌
and then there was that magic shop muster moment when jk was talking about how much he loved joon and how he was his beginning you know as president of the joon fan club does and namjoon couldn’t help but to go over and give his number one admirer a hug you know the moment
same thing with compliments he lowkey be eating them up
like you know how whenever hobi gets complimented he be like “😶 don’t say those things” joon don’t do that
like when they was asked to take their jackets off during the butter shoot and namjoon was like yeah okay and everyone started hyping him up and he was just 💁🏼‍♂️😜
and again on day 2 sowoozoo when he pushed his hair back from his forehead and everyone went OHHHHHSWJJSJS SEXY NAMJOON and then he decided to murder us all by tilting his head back on top of that adding insult to injury i would insert the picture but for my mental health i will not
and again whenever they talk about him being such a great leader he never shies away from it doesn’t cringe always accepts it so you know it must mean a lot for him to hear those things
aside from that tho he’s such a poetic person
like he is definitely involved in an intimate affair with language so there’s no way he wouldn’t appreciate you verbally telling him how he makes you feel
like just think about how many times he’s said he wants to sit down with each army and listen to their story
that being said if this was your man i think you’d definitely have to both show and tell him how you feel
like if he was about to head out for work you definitely got to kiss him before he leaves
and if you on the phone with him the last words you’re saying are i love you
and he’s definitely gonna cherish it each time always gonna have that cute little smile dimples caved in his cheeks bc you love him and he feels it
seokjin:
acts of service/words of affirmation
alright so ngl the reason i said acts of service for seokjin is like almost 100% based on his reaction to tae setting up that birthday event for him where he had his friends send him messages
he talked about it for WEEKS like he was genuinely so moved that i just like he has to love it
and then there’s like how much he bothers jk to like do simple stuff like i’m specifically thinking about that one moment in bon voyage 4 when he was sitting down at the table and called jk to help him up
and then there’s also little things he does for others like when he peeled tae’s tangerines for him or when he offered to feed yoongi bc he was driving or how he always offers bites of his food before even gets a chance to taste it
now i say words of affirmation bc he always searching for a compliment
my minds going to when jk hurt his foot and jin was pushing him in the wheelchair and kept feeding him lines to say about how he was such a good hyung and how he loves him
or in the behind the scenes for the boy with luv video and he kept tryna get tae to compliment him for being witty
and my boy never misses a chance to introduce himself as worldwide handsome
even though he does a lot of those things jokingly there are moments when he’s serious too about giving compliments and shy when he receives them like in those be interviews when he called jk a singing genius and jungkook was talking about how he had the most range and he got all ☺️☺️
or that moment from in the soop when he was comforting yoongi about like not having regrets and when yoongi told him he wanted to be like him just those kinds of moments let me know words are important to him
which just made me remember how hard he tries with his lyrics and how important they are to him like when he was writing awake and he talked about how he kept getting rejected but he was super insistent bc it was important for him to sing the words he wrote and don’t even get me started on moon i just-
anyway jin done said many times he is a man of the present so if you’re with him you gotta actively show/tell him
if you’re at the store pick him up some gummies
if you know he’s got a long day ahead of him maybe pack him some snacks to take with him in the morning
if his hair looks nice tell him
send him messages throughout the day even if he can’t respond immediately
he claims he’s a man of the present but whenever he takes a moment to reminisce the past he’ll look back and know just how much you care about him
yoongi:
quality time/acts of service
listen as much as this man loves spending time alone the time he spends with others means a lot to him
like how he always go fishing with jin even tho he ain’t particularly fond of it
or how like in in the soop he had made plans to play games with jimin and did so extensively
also from in the soop when he had spent most of his day outside reading but then he had heard everyone starting to make the theme song and immediately ran to get his equipment to record and what not
not to mention his poem from the end of that one run episode where they went on like a mini trip or whatever and he was like “what a relief that we have seven members. what a relief that we have each other.”
like being all together is important to him
like i just think about that one scene from one of they movies ion remember which one but they were all gathered around the table and it was when he had told them how he actually hurt his shoulder and they was talking about how they was worried about jk and how he need to come out his room and it’s not even the content of the scene but just like the fact that he ain’t have to be there but he was
and also can’t neglect to mention how he whined for y e a r s about how ain’t nobody come to visit him on set when he was filming the videos for his first mixtape like mans wouldn’t let that go and then how touched he was when they made appearances on his daechwita set even if he couldn’t express it properly
and how he begged for them to make cameos in the video and how happy he was when jin and jk did
and he doesn’t ever forget to mention whenever him and hobi hang out he’s like yeah we went for a drink and dinner and talked and blah blah
he loves it when people make an effort to be around him
now acts of service i got this all on a whim okay like… listen… we all been there we have all watched an ideal type video on youtube don’t lie okay
and up there it be like he want someone to bring him food in the studio and take care of him and stuff like that and in this case the math maths
you really can see that in how he treats others
like just the other day i saw a gifset somewhere and the boys were like yeah yoongi always takes care of us he don’t make eye contact tho
not to mention how he always cooks for them when they go on trips
and even though he ain’t give seokjin his song yet we know it’s coming! eventually!
and whenever they be ganging up on jungkook yoongi always the first one to be like “stooooppp you gon make him cry”
my baby just always be doing little things for others to show he cares okay 🥺
so if you got with my baby you gotta take care of him 🥺🥺🥺
he really needs someone that understands him bc he not gonna say anything
if you’re all hanging out together make sure you’re by his side so he knows you want to be there with him
if he’s busy stuck in his studio drop by even if you just end up laying on the couch he’s gonna appreciate you just being with him
and bring food my baby getting buff he need all the veggies and protein he can get
hoseok:
receiving gifts
i really had to think about this one but once i connected the dots yeah it makes total sense
like he looooves shopping loves getting stuff so when other people give him stuff i know he just 🥰🥰🥰
hobi lights up when he gets gifts they don’t always have to be big but i know he very much appreciates them
like how in the army corner store festa video when asked to bring something meaningful to them he brought those figurines which was the first gift a fan gifted him
which makes me think about how those limited edition figurines dropped and hobi was like i need to get one for namjoon and then namjoon was like i need to get one for hobi and so they ended up with like two of them or something like that
also from festa in the little photo booth mission every time he won a prize he was like yaaasss omg and was thinking of ways to put it to use like when he got that picture frame he immediately stuck them film strips in it he probably got it hanging in his room or in his studio by now tbh
and i think it was on the canada run bts episode where jk bought him those slippers and he was super happy
even when they were in hawaii and him and jin were hungry on the bus and he asked jin for gummies like ofc jin had to get on his nerves first but when he finally gave him his snacks he went from 😐 to 😚
or how he still has that change purse that namjoon bought him in malta (probably still got the money in there too tbh)
speaking of malta got me thinking about how tae went out of his way to win hobi that flamingo bc he said he’d never seen one and when tae gave it to him he went parading it around telling everyone that tae won it for him and then said he was gonna put it in his studio
and he got that chicken leg pillow they gave him from you quiz on the couch in his studio
and i think it was from the 2020 winter package he was so happy when jin bought him those ugly little troll elf things with the hat you know what i’m talking about
and he commented like three times when jungkook drew that picture of him for his birthday
and we know mans be giving gifts too
like how he got yoongi that coffee truck on the set of daechwita
and when they were on the speak yourself tour and he went out shopping on a day off and bought jin a sweater or something
and how he slaved through like 2 or 3 lives making bracelets for the members and then gave it to them on the bang bang con live
and the most devastating one of all when they had to give each other gifts i think it was on the run episode with all the water games but i could be wrong anyway and like most of them gave each other gag gifts like their merch or whatever but hobi gave jimin (and the rest of the members) a cd for his song promise it had a little photo book in it and everything 😭😭😭
so like whoever gets with this fine specimen gon have to throw a few dollars together to make sure this man is kept
not really i’m sure he doesn’t expect you to sell your car for a gucci peacoat or your soul for a rolex
but if you did decide to save up for some time to get him a little extravagant gift i know he’d more than appreciate it
more often than not though it’d be the little things that got to him like if you bought a simple t shirt from the store but then kinda like upcycled it drew little doodles on it wrote “i’m your hope” somewhere on it there would definitely be a picture uploaded of him on weverse or twitter wearing it
or if you decided to compile the pictures of you two together into a scrapbook or something he’d keep it somewhere accessible like in a drawer in his desk in his studio and flip through it with a little smile on his face when he’s missing you
and even if it was something even smaller than that like say he mentioned in passing that like idk he was out of eggs or something and you bought him some he just might marry you
jimin:
physical affection/quality time
the first thing that comes to mind with this for jimin is how he comforts his boys
like there’s so many behind the scenes clips from tour where like jk or tae will be upset with their performance and crying and jimin would be the one to come up behind them and hug them and wipe their tears
same concept for that one moment in bon voyage 3 when they told him that tae was crying and he just kinda hugged him and wiped his tears and hovered around him to make sure he was okay
or when they left hobi at the gas station in bon voyage 4 and then went back to pick him up he still hugged hobi even as he was laughing evilly
also in bon voyage 4 when they went on that helicopter tour and they was on the mountain and him and tae tackled each other and was rolling in the snow
and he is just like always in jk arms like he just jumps on him for no reason like in that video where lee hyun is acting as one of bts’ management
also in the behind from i think when they were practicing for the 2019 bbmas i believe at some point jungkook was holding that man spinning him in circles or sumn like that
and there’s also that one comeback show when him and tae were in the comic book cafe and they were just cuddled up together looking at tae’s phone practicing english i think
and on that one joon live when him and tae crashed and just caused a whole lot of commotion i’m pretty sure at one point they were cuddled on the couch and then jimin told tae his breath stinks and tae proceeded to open his mouth over the air purifier
anyway clearly he is a man with hands
but he also is someone who loves to spend time together it’s important to him
like i just think about how when they had their “break” back in 2019 he talked about how he just traveled the entire time and he went with various friends and family
and i’m pretty sure it was bon voyage 3 when they were doing their friendship trips and trying to make fresh pairings or whatever he was like i don’t think there’s any surprising pairing with me and it’s like… that’s true
like you got minimoni, minimini, jikook etc… all tried tested and true man gets around his band
and he’s the main one who’s always like “yeah bro we should live in the dorms until we’re 50”
and he always talks about how he can’t be alone and how he’s always gotta be doing something with someone
and his lives!!! his lives!!!! when he spends time with us it’s always so intimate and personable
like you can’t tell me that i ain’t have dinner with him and jin after a show in the hotel room and we drank off camera even after the staff told us we couldn’t 😤🤚
there’s also that time he went live and someone said they had some kind of condition and then he took it upon himself to look it up and try to find treatments
just liiiike whenever he goes live every minute counts bro and yes this is me trying to summon him bc we ain’t had a solo jimin live since october and i know they super busy but i miss 😓😓😓
so for this mans i just feel like you just gotta really be with him
just like he makes every second count you have to as well
like he’s gonna want to have your full attention and you’ll definitely have his he’ll be obsessed with you tbh
however he doesn’t always have the time and his schedule definitely isn’t the most accommodating so he’s gonna want someone to put in the effort
but as long as you make sure he knows you’re all in he’ll always meet you halfway
taehyung:
words of affirmation
now this one has been stated explicitly multiple times and he’s admitted it himself
specifically during let’s bts in their segment within the segment and namjoon was like taehyung the kind of person who grows from compliments
and i ain’t even got the right words to express how i feel about the smile he couldn’t help when hobi had them all tell tae that they like him
not to mention the story he told during the festa video last year about how he always tried his very best to get hobi to praise him and how disappointed he was when hobi didn’t get it
and i may be tripping but didn’t like earlier this year he didn’t post on weverse or twitter for like a month or so because he wanted to keep seeing us say how much we miss him???
and in bon voyage season 2 when they had to write letters to each other and he wrote his to jimin and then cried when he read it
there’s also a moment in bon voyage 4 when he and rm were about to sleep in the same space and he asked joon if he could cuddle him and joon was like 🥴🤚 how bout no and tae was like you do like me right? and rm was like yeah of course but let’s not cuddle bro
also in that weverse magazine interview they did he talked about how depressed he got when they weren’t able to perform and he only felt happy for a while when he was able to communicate with us
and in turn he’s very verbally supportive as well
like at that one fan sign they was talking about bon voyage and they asked army which season they liked better 1 or 2 and someone said 1 and taehyung was like “😐 now why would you say that bc namjoon won’t even in that” even though really it was only like 1 or 2 episodes he missed out on
and like he’s always hyping seokjin up like when they were doing the map of the soul 7 comeback live and jin was talking about how he wasn’t a good dancer and taehyung was like 😡 don’t say that bc it’s not true you’re good and you always been good
and in the let’s bts thing again it was important for him to let jimin know that he likes him best like they really are best friends y’all 😭
and when he talks about how much he loves suga’s raps
and that moment in the soop when he set up a date for him and jungkook to talk out whatever tension they had or whatever
and how during those individual be interviews he had hobi flustered when he complimented his passion for music
and he always be saying like the most comforting stuff on weverse letting army know he’s there as a source of comfort at all times even when he can’t be
like this man is literally the creator of borahae meaning that we’ll love and support each other for a long time
so if you get with tae communication is key!!!
you gotta tell him how you feel about him
if you’re out and about and see something that reminds you of him? tell him. if you like his hair that day? tell him. if he does something that pisses you off? tell him. if you miss him? tell him. if you love him? tell him.
like y’all gon talk about everything and nothing at all some days you’ll be discussing aliens and parallel universes other days you’ll be like discussing the future of your relationship
and ya know he a busy man so you not always gon be having long and drawn out heart to hearts so i think he’d love it if you just sent messages throughout the day something that let him know you were thinking of him even if it’s just a picture of a possum you chased down or if you spammed him with tiktoks you thought he’d like
he’d be looking at his phone like 🥰🤳 thinking about how much he loves you
jungkook:
physical affection
now this lil menace right here is touchy
always down for a cuddle
like on the canada episode of run when they were about to pick out rooms and he was like firmly latched onto hobi on the couch while they waited
and when they were practicing home for the magic shop muster and yoongi sat in the arm chair and immediately jk sat in his lap and tae sat in his lap
or how in in the soop after they were done eating he just went and latched onto jin’s back
and how tae had went to go wake jk up that one time and they ended up falling asleep
or how jk had went to wake up jimin that one time and they ended up falling asleep
there was just a lot of jk cuddles going on in in the soop so i’ll move on
let’s talk about the pool water debate run episode where in the end jk decided to latch onto jin’s back yet again
i’ll take this moment to mention the jinkook moment that lives in my head rent free for no valid reason it’s from the life goes on countdown video where they were reading the post cards and he was wearing that big pink sweatshirt and jin was wearing that pink and black bomber jacket and jk just grabbed jin’s arm and held onto it and played with it and when he was done he just threw it away i… i think about that moment a lot there’s an entire section in both my head and heart dedicated to that moment anyway continuing on
i’ll talk about that time they were backstage for a show and they had them blow up mattresses and suga was minding his business resting and jk just rolled up and moved his legs and laid beside him and then hobi decided to pile on top
and whenever they’re on stage he’s always the most delighted when joon would suggest a hug he’d be the first one over there nose scrunched up giggling he loves it
there’s also many instances in interviews and lives where he just can’t keep him hands to himself
just like that last butter live when tae ended up with a crown of forks thanks to mr kook
and he never misses an opportunity to feel up joon
which makes me remember that time he kissed namjoon on the forehead
and he is just always carrying jimin for some reason
so in conclusion… physical affection
and if he was your mans you’d be on the frontlines of receiving all he has to give
not necessarily in public or around a lot of people but in a space where you both were comfortable yes
you’d just have to accept that when you’re standing around he’s going to give you a shoulder/neck/back massage for no particular reason
and he will latch onto you in different positions for extended periods of time
and you gotta do the same! like that’s your man! go give him a hug! a kiss! let him know you love him
cuddle up to him while y’all chilling watching tv
hold his hand while y’all talking
just like grab onto him and never let him go
he’ll be hoping you don’t

and he kissed me right here
pairing: modern!bucky barnes x reader
word count: 6,100
summary: I've always been sure that all I ever wanted was a glamorous life.
warnings: Cuss words, mentions of the Afghanistan war (Bucky is a veteran), angst, happy ending, cheesy romantic confessions, age gap
a/n:  This is based on the song 'Stars and the Moon' from Songs for a New World! It's the first one shot in my musical series! This is written in first perspective, but there is no physical description or use of a name in this!
Twenty-Two
I sighed as I tossed a few more dirty plates into the dish window, wiping my brow. After a shitty dinner rush and an even shittier rush around two in the morning consisting only of drunk ass college kids looking for some sort of carb to suck up all the alcohol in their systems, I was ready to go the fuck home.
“Sweetheart, you head on home now,” the head chef insisted as he watched my head nod slightly as I tried my best to fight off sleep. “Ain’t nobody comin’ in before Melissa gets here. No point in you staying on your feet any longer.”
Louis was a godsend. At sixty-seven years old, you’d think he would rather be anywhere but a diner at almost four in the morning.
“Nah,” he had said when I’d asked him a few months after I’d first started. “My Ginny died a few years back, and since she’s been gone, I don’t really have the stomach to sit around that house all alone.” He had laughed, but there’d been a deep sorrow that had come over his deep brown eyes. “Kids are worried, but… Sleeping the day away is better than laying up at night staring at her side of the bed…”
“You sure, Lou?” I asked even as I headed for the back room where all the employees clocked in and kept their possessions in their own little cubbies. I did my checkout in view of the security camera, just like always. I didn’t want anyone to be able to say I stole anything.
Everyone who knew me knew that I wouldn’t, but I’d worked at two many places where the girls tried backstabbing each other and sabotaging everyone else to get them fired.
Though people were a lot nicer in Louisiana than any of the other places I’d lived.
Louis chuckled as he set a to-go box in the window, nodding towards it. “Mmhm. Long as Buck is getting you home safe.”
I gave him a joking eye roll as I took the to-go box gratefully, grinning at my name written in all caps with green Sharpie on top. “You know you don’t have to make me dinner every night.”
“Yes, I do,” he said, shooting me a look. “How else do I know you’re getting enough food in you, huh?” He pointed his rag at me. “Now you go ask him to get you home. Tell him I said he can clock out, and that he’s supposed to text me when he sees you safe inside. You better not say you’re gonna ask him again just to walk yourself home.” The old man shook his head as I headed for the back door, muttering to himself, “Damn girl thinks I’m gonna believe she’s feeding herself good enough when she’s risking her damn ass walking home alone.”
Despite the fact that I’d put off asking for Bucky Barnes’s service, I really did appreciate how fiercely Louis cared about me.
It had been a real long time since anyone had cared so much.
I hesitated at the back door of the diner, my hand resting against the cool metal.
What if he said no?
Granted, he most likely wouldn’t. But what if he said yes, and he secretly thought me some dumb little girl that couldn’t take care of herself?
What did I care if he thought that?
“I don’t care what he thinks of me,” I huffed as I straightened my shoulders, holding my chin a little higher.
“Stop talking to yourself and get going!”
I jumped in surprise, before shooting a glare in the direction of the kitchen. “Stop listening in on my private conversations!” I demanded before storming outside with new found vigor.
Only to freeze when Bucky looked up from where he was sitting on the curb, smoking a cigarette.
God, he was handsome.
“You okay, doll face?” He asked, his New York accent a sharp contrast to the southern drawls you were used to.
“Um… Y-Yeah,” I said faintly, glancing back at the door that I’d come in from. “Um… L-Louis wants me to ask you… Can you walk me home? Or give me a ride? I don’t… I don’t know if you drive…”
“I do drive.”
“O-Oh. Okay. Great.”
“But I don’t have my car on me.”
I peered at him curiously. “Oh. Um… I can just walk by myself. I don’t wanna… I don’t wanna be a nuisance…”
He stood up, tossing his cigarette to the ground and stomping it out. “Don’t be ridiculous, darlin.’ Come on. I’ll walk you.” He shoved his hands in his pockets as he began to head for the street. “Besides… It’s a real nice night.”
“Oh…,” I said in surprise at how ready he was to be of service. “Okay. But only if you’re sure.”
A faint smile graced his lips as he glanced at the ground, letting out a faint chuckle that rumbled deep in his chest. “I’m sure, darlin.’ But you gotta lead the way.”
I was surprised by the rapid pitter patter of my heart beat as we walked side by side down the street, the chorus of ‘Yellow Brick Road’ getting stuck in my head on a loop.
Bucky was an enigma that I found myself wondering about more often than not, but I always ended up talking myself out of going there. After all, he was an older man. A much older man. At least fifteen years older than my own twenty-two years, or something along those lines, not that he looked it. The man looked like some kind of rugged Greek god. Like Hades if Hades was born in the eighties. His dog tags clinked together under his shirt as we walked, his metal prosthetic glinting in the moon.
“So how did you end up in NOLA?”
It took me a moment to even realize that he was talking to me, my heart skipping a beat and my face going hot in embarrassment. “I’m sorry, what did you say?” I asked.
His bright blue eyes flickered over to look me over. “How’d you end up in New Orleans?”
“I actually don’t know,” I snorted, avoiding his eyes as I kicked at a few broken up pieces of asphalt. “I just… Picked a bus ticket and ended up in one of the Carolinas. Then I picked another bus ticket and ended up in Minnesota. And then I picked another, and another, and another, and then I actually just… ended up here.” The months I’d spent alone on those Greyhounds felt both so long ago and also like it was just yesterday. “The diner was the first place someone recommended for food that’s good but cheap, and as I was eating my mountain of cheese fries, I saw the flyer that said they were hiring. So here I am now…”
“Huh,” he said, his brows furrowed. “I didn’t take you for the type of person to run off on your own… riding buses all over the country…”
Head tilting to the side, I gave him a long look. “You didn’t? What kind of type did you peg me for?”
Bucky gave me a long look, a single brow raised as though silently telling me that I jumped to conclusions. “Just that jumping from place to place can take a lot outta someone,” he said slowly, his voice low and soothing. “Hell, if you were my girl—” He broke off as his cheeks flushed a pretty shade of pink, his long hair falling in his face.
I swore my heart had stopped inside of my chest, and I swallowed thickly around the lump in my throat. “Oh?”
He rushed to try to correct his wording. “I-I just mean, a lady should be comfortable. And if I had a g-girl like you, well… You’d never want for anything,” he stammered, stumbling over his words like a flustered school boy. “Hell, I… I’d give you the stars and the moon…”
I was shocked into silence, staring up at him like he was the sun itself. “Bucky…”
“No, no, don’t say anything. I… I know that was a lot,” he insisted quietly, unable to meet your eyes as he stared up at the shitty apartment building you called home. “Hell, you probably don’t want a gross old man hitting on you.” His metal hand, glinting in the low light of the street lamp, reached up to brush against my cheek for just a moment before it quickly dropped. “Just let me walk you home each night so I can make sure you’re safe, yeah?”
“Yeah,” I breathed out, unable to take my eyes off of him as he took a few steps back.
There’s a somewhat playful smirk on his lips as he watched me stumble up the steps, continuously glancing back at him. “Goodnight, baby doll.”
“Goodnight,” I said, barely audible before I finally headed inside.
Bucky kept his word. He walked me home every night, and honestly, there wasn’t a moment that I wasn’t thinking about what he had said, about if I was his girl.
What if I was his girl?
But… with that meant I’d have to give up the life I’d dreamed for myself. I wanted luxury, to never worry about bills or where I was gonna get my next meal or if I could afford to buy the nice work shoes or if I could only get the cheap ones that would fall apart in three months and then I’d just be right back where I started.
I wanted the life that celebrities lived. Hell, I wanted to go to parties on the same yachts the Kardashian-Jenners did, even if I couldn’t fucking stand them.
And with Bucky… I wouldn’t have that.
“So why’d you go on the run anyway?” Bucky asked one night as we sat on the curb, eating ice cream in the Louisiana heat. “I know you told me how you got here, but you’ve never told me why.”
“You’ve never told me how you ended up here or why either,” I shot back, nudging his shoulder with my own.
Somehow the age difference seemed non-existent as we sat there. Honestly, I felt like we were just a bunch of dumb teenagers, shooting the shit and enjoying each other’s company.
Bucky took in a deep breath, his shoulders sinking in a way that made it look like he had all the weight of the world on his shoulders. “I was over in Afghanistan for a long time,” he admitted quietly. “When the war first started, I was 19. I had no idea where my life was going and I had no options except my dad’s mechanic shop. So I enlisted with my best friend, Steve. The one I told you about.”
It’s completely silent except for the sound of an occasional car horn off in the distance.
“Neither one of us knew what we were doing. We realized very quickly that we had no reason being over there, but… but there was nothing else,” he said, swallowing around the lump in his throat. The ice cream he was holding was melting in his trembling hands. “I didn’t know how to do anything else, so I stayed. Steve moved up in the ranks, but I stayed pretty low… I didn’t mind. Kinda liked being the older guy all those young kids could talk to, could rely on… Because they were just like me, getting into a fight that wasn’t theirs because they had nothing else.”
My heart was shattering inside my chest as I scooted a little closer, my knee knocking against his as I tried to give him some sort of silent comfort. He’d been through Hell and made it through.
Bucky let his head rest against mine, his eyes closing as he breathed in the scent of my perfume. “They eventually moved me to some kind of specialized team… Called us the Howling Commandos. I found out that Steve was heading it and he picked me to be part of it. That’s how I met Sam, because he was on some sort of similar team with the Air Force, except it was just him and his friend, Riley,” he continued, taking a bite of his chocolate fudge brownie ice cream. “I am proud to say that I didn’t kill a single person while I was over there. I just couldn’t. Hell, they’re people just like me, terrified and unsure of what’s going to happen.” His lips pressed against my forehead, letting it linger. “But then about five years ago, I was on a mission with the Commandos, Sam, and Riley, and… this bomb went off while we were playing a game of soccer. I wasn’t even in a fight. That thing took my arm and it took Riley.”
Tentatively, I let my fingers find his, holding his hand and squeezing reassuringly.
“Sam decided to come home with me.” There was a forlorn look in his eyes, as though he was right back at that game of pick-up soccer. “After losing Riley… he couldn’t find a reason to be over there. And then Steve decided to stay, and hell, he’s still over there, leading that fucking team…” Glassy baby blue eyes finally found mine, the both of us doing our best to not cry. “I couldn’t face my family for a long time, so Sam asked me to come stay in Louisiana with him and his family, and I haven’t left since.”
“Have you gone to see your family?” I asked slowly, almost like I was scared I’d frighten him if I spoke too loudly, like a wild animal. “Let them know where you are? That you’re safe?”
He turned to look at me, his baby blues shining. “You worried about me, baby doll?”
“I can’t help it,” I said honestly, unable to tear my eyes away. I hadn’t opened up to someone like that in so damn long. “I can’t help but worry about you.”
The way that I felt about Bucky absolutely terrified me, but there was nothing I could do to stop it. It snuck up on me, like a train coming around a bend.
I hated it.
“What do you want out of this life?” Bucky asked on one walk home, his arm linked in mine. He’d become so much more… tactile. If anyone took a moment to look at us, they’d think we were a couple on a romantic stroll.
Perhaps we were.
But I couldn’t help but grin as I looked up at the sky, taking in the warm air. “I wanna live like how the movie stars do… I want a big house on the beach and twenty cars and a yacht and… and…”
He looked at me long and hard. “And you never wanna have to worry about where your next meal is coming from, if you’re gonna have a place to sleep at night…”
For some reason, I’d felt a bolt of panic over whether or not he’d understand. Whether or not he’d think differently of me, but I should’ve known that he wouldn’t. Hell, he knew me better than anyone else.
“You understand,” I said quietly, my hand squeezing his bicep gratefully. “I want to live how the other half lives for once. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with that.”
A small smile graced his features as we shuffled along. “There isn’t. But… What about love?” He asked.
“Love?”
“Love.”
Love.
Could I even have love? Did I want it?
“I don’t know if there’s a lot of room for love in my plans,” I admitted after a long moment. “In my experience, love has always just been a lie. A word used to manipulate and eventually abuse.”
Letting out a snort, he let his fingers tickle down my tricep until his fingers intertwined with mine. “I’d show you it’s not… I’d show you what real love is,” he said. “I’d give you every part of me, give you all my strength to help you grow into who you wanna be, even if I don’t particularly care about being famous or rich…” He brought my hand to his lips, kissing my knuckles. “I’ll give you a love story, a life, that’s a million times better than any recycled Hollywood plot… I’ll give you the stars and the moon, if you would just let me.”
I hated the way that he made my heart beat faster, the way my breath hitched. “Jamie,” I breathed out quietly, the two of us having stopped in our tracks to just… take each other in. Live in each other’s presence for a moment. “I…”
“You want a big life… one a lot bigger than little old me,” he said simply, shrugging. His blue eyes were so honest, so loving. So warm. A warmth I hadn’t ever experienced before. “I know. But that doesn’t change that I’m in love with you. And if you ever change your mind…” Bucky reached into his pocket and pulled out a business card, pressing it into my free hand. “This is where you can find me. I figure it’s time for me to go home.”
We’d come to a stop in front of my building, and I was shocked at how tight my chest felt. My eyes watered as I stared at him long and hard. “Jamie, please… I⏤”
“Don’t say it. It’s okay,” he insisted as he cupped my cheek, letting his thumb run over my skin as though he was memorizing it. “I just want you to be happy, darling. You got that?” His lips pressed to my forehead, letting it linger. “Go get that life you’ve been dreaming of.”
Twenty-Three
I left New Orleans the next day, grabbing a bus ticket after throwing all of my belongings into my old duffel bag. It was time to move on.
But God, did it hurt.
I didn’t stop crying for weeks, fighting the urge to go right back to Louisiana and tell Bucky to take it back, to get him to beg me to stay with him.
But what kind of life would that leave me with? Working in the diner day after day? Never getting anywhere?
But you’d have James, a voice inside my head reminded me snarkily.
Then again, he most likely wasn’t even in New Orleans anymore, if what he said was true when he gave me the business card of his father’s mechanic shop. Was he really planning on going home to New York City?
A few months later, and I’d worked my way all through the southwest to Santa Fe, where I met Pietro.
My heart was pounding as I pressed in the familiar numbers, having memorized them from the business card now soft and faded from how often I held it in my hands like a lifeline. “Come on… Pick up… Pick up…”
“Barnes Tires and Motors, this is George,” a man said in a gruff voice when he finally picked up. “How can I help you?”
“H-Hi, is James there? James Barnes? Bucky?” I stammered out, hands trembling so bad that the old payphone was almost rattling.
There was a pause, and then muffled talking away from the phone.
And then I heard it being picked up. “This is Bucky,” he said.
It felt like the wind had been knocked right out of my lungs. How had I gone so long without hearing his voice?
Breathing in sharply, I tried to figure out the words to say. But my throat was dry and it was like I’d suddenly forgotten the entire English language.
That was all that it took for Bucky to realize it was me. “Baby doll? Baby doll, is that you?” He asked quietly. “I…” He took in a deep breath, trying to calm himself down. “You don’t gotta say a thing, sweetheart… But just know that if you’re in trouble or you need help or… or anything at all, you better call me…” His voice wavered, as though he was fighting tears just like I was. “God, I miss you so much, baby doll. I love you.”
I love you, too.
I hung up before I could actually say the words. “God, I’m so fucking stupid,” I whispered as I leaned back against the wall of the gas station I’d found myself at, rubbing the heels of my hands into my eyes.
My dumb ass had decided to wander from the bus station, and I’d walked over a mile away. Unless I was staying in Santa Fe for a bit, I’d need to start making my way back.
“You okay?”
In my distress, I hadn’t even heard the rumbling of the motorcycle or noticed the handsome man making his way to me. “Uh, yeah. Yeah, I’m fine,” I said even as I wiped my nose with a pathetic sniffle.
He eyed me for a long moment, his eyes roaming over my figure. “You hungry? I know a great little place nearby. My treat.”
And well, I was never one to turn down free food.
Even if that ‘little place’ ended up being a food truck.
“You know, when you said it was a little place, I didn’t picture it having wheels,” I said teasingly, licking salsa off of my lower lip. “Though, it is the best food I’ve ever gotten from a food truck before.”
“Oh, come on. This is the best food of all time!” He laughed, shaking his head.
“I don’t know if I’d go that far,” I snorted, finishing off my flautas.
Pietro looked at me long and hard. “So, are you gonna tell me what the hell was going on to have a pretty girl like you all teary eyed?” He asked, his head tilting to the side.
I couldn’t help but roll my eyes. “Was this your plan all along?” I asked. Wiping my hands off on a napkin, I did everything I could to avoid his eyes. “Get me all fed and then question me?” But at the same time, the thought of being able to finally talk to someone about it was so appealing… After a long moment of hesitation, I finally gave in. “I fell in love with a man, and he let me go because he knew that I want a life he can’t give me,” I said. “And I was a bitch who didn’t even tell him I love him back when he said it to me.”
Pietro took in a deep breath, slowly letting it out. “Damn. You really are a stone cold bitch, aren’t you?”
“Hey!” I indignantly threw a chunk of tomato at him, glaring. “I just opened up my heart, you dickwad.”
“Dickwad?!” He said, blinking at me in shock. “No one’s ever called me a dickwad before.”
I raised a single eyebrow at him. “Maybe not to your face, but they definitely have.” He gave off the vibe of a fuckboy, of a really, really bad fuckboy.
“Well, since you’re running away from your feelings, how about you spend a week or two with me on the road?” He asked with a grin.
I couldn’t help but blink at him in shock. “What?” I let out a laugh, pulling one of my legs up to my chest. “Do you throw that line out to every girl you meet? Or am I just special?”
Pietro threw a chip at me, and I barely managed to dodge it. “No, I don’t. But… You remind me of me. Needing adventure. A life bigger than four walls and a fence.”
Instinctively, I wanted to snap back that sometimes, four walls and a fence could be an adventure, could be the biggest life there was, as Bucky’s face flashed across my mind.
But I couldn’t do that. Not when I wasn’t ready to face the truth myself.
“Come on, sweet cheeks,” he teased as his foot hooked around mine. “Just think of it. The open highway, a rhythm beneath your feet… Nights full of passion and days of adventure…” Pietro’s voice was deep and husky, as though he was trying to lure me in. “No strings… just warm summer rain soaking us to the bone before we find some cheap motel to huddle down in…”
Plastering on a smile, I stood up and brushed myself on. “Thanks, but… I’d rather be drinking champagne, and the quicker I get to LA, the sooner I will be.”
He let me go with a kiss on the cheek and his cell number pressed into my hand, with a promise to come and pick me up the second I rang.
And despite how sweet he was, how wild and funny and charismatic, there was only one man I wanted to call.
Twenty-Four
I sipped at my martini as I sat at the rooftop bar, absentmindedly watching the television that was mounted on the wall as people droned around me. I’d been in Los Angeles for a year, and I’d spent my time finding the best places to find a husband who could give me the life I dreamed of.
As much as I didn’t want to admit it, it took connections to build a career, and the best way to get a foot in the door when nepotism was so rampant was by marrying someone in the industry.
My silk dress was the most expensive thing I owned, something I’d saved up for months for, had skipped meals for. And fuck, was it worth it. I could feel the stares, the lingering gazes on the little bit of thigh that was exposed by the slit in the dress.
I’d already turned away several men, able to tell just from their expensive watches and cheap suits and shoes.
It was amazing how all the up and coming finance bros thought they fit in with the truly big dogs.
“Well, hello, gorgeous.”
I turned to see who was speaking, my heart skipping a beat when I realized who I was speaking to.
The world famous (or infamous) director, Tony Stark.
“Hello, handsome,” I said smoothly, my lashes fluttering innocently as I took a sip of my horrible drink.
I fucking hated martinis. Always had.
But ordering a martini was more sophisticated than ordering a frozen strawberry margarita.
“Is this seat taken?” He asked as he motioned to the empty bar stool right next to me, even as he was already sitting down. “Let me buy your next round.”
“I can’t think of anything better,” I said, feeling as though my dream life was already in reach.
Twenty-Eight
“Tony, where are you taking me?” I laughed as I let my boyfriend lead me to the private dock at our Malibu mansion.
Well, his mansion. I just happened to also live there.
It had been a whirlwind of a year since I had met Tony, and he’d bought me that second round. He’d taken me all over the globe, anywhere my heart desired.
But I made sure to avoid New York City, though he never understood why. I would never tell him.
Not when I was so close to my dream. I could practically taste it.
“Come on, come on. I have a surprise for you,” he said, keeping his hands over my eyes. He was sure to keep me from tripping and busting my ass, thank god.
The ocean waves were so comforting as they hit the shore, a sound I’d gotten used to over the past year.
He finally brought me to a stop, quietly telling me to keep my eyes closed. “Okay,” he said finally. “Open them.”
My eyes slowly opened, adjusting to the bright light of the California sun. But I was more shocked by the sight of Tony on one knee in front of me, holding out a box with a sparkling diamond ring in it. “Tony?”
The ring was the size of a fucking meteor. It was easily the biggest ring I’d ever seen.
“You know, I never thought I’d meet someone like you,” he said quietly, his dark eyes shining. But his voice was steady. “Someone who understands me, who doesn’t expect me to change into someone I’m not. You accept me as I am, and that’s why I want to give you the world.” He couldn’t help but grin as he nodded to the right. “Starting with that yacht you’ve always dreamed of.”
I hadn’t even noticed that there were two yachts at his private docks instead of just the one. The new one had SS Princess emblazoned on the side, and I couldn’t help but laugh. “Oh… Tony…”
“So, what do you say?” He asked, bringing my attention back to him. “Will you be my wife?”
“Yes.”
Thirty-Two
Swallowing nervously, I looked down at the business card in my hand for the millionth time, the stock paper soft from how often I’d looked at it in the past ten years.
Hell, just how often I’d looked at it in the past six should’ve made it fall apart by now. Not that I didn’t have it memorized.
I’d finally ended my marriage after being miserable for so long. I’d gotten my yacht, my fancy houses, my career, all the jewelry that I could dream of, and none of it made me happy. Tony and I… never grew. And I never dreamed. Every day was the same, and every day was torture as I realized that I didn’t have the one thing that actually mattered.
The garage in front of me was busy, music blasting and the sound of men shouting to each other as they worked.
Suddenly I felt absolutely ridiculous wearing a Chanel dress and Gucci heels, an Hermés bag on my arm.
BARNES TIRES AND MOTORS was lit up along the top of the shop in bright red letters, though the lights in the ‘r’ of ‘motors’ were out.
I felt like a fool. I had wanted the life I had so desperately that I gave up everything for it. I got the movie star life, my name on billboards and my face on magazines.
But it wasn’t ever enough.
My heels clicked against the blacktop as I slowly made my way towards the front area of the shop, bells clinging above my head to let them know someone was there.
“Can I help you, ma’am?” A man asked as he came around the corner.
He looked so much like Bucky, it punched the air straight from my lungs.
“H-Hi. I’m looking for James Barnes. Is he here?” I asked after a long moment of hesitation. There was no way that the man was Bucky, but I didn’t doubt he was related.
The man raised his brows, wiping his hands on a rag. “My son’s in the shop. I’ll take you to him.” His full head of hair was white, his thick facial hair matching. Even with all the wrinkles on his face, he was a handsome man. Holding open the door for me, he led me into the loud shop, some eighties rock song blasting over the speakers.
I couldn’t help but smile as ‘Rock You Like a Hurricane’ by Scorpions came on. It was one of Bucky’s favorites back when we worked in the diner together.
“BUCK! YOU GOT A VISITOR!” The man shouted, causing several people to look our way.
My cheeks felt hot as I avoided their gaze, hoping they wouldn’t recognize me. I didn’t want to be a famous movie star anymore, a celebrity that had to beg for scraps of privacy.
My mind went numb, my heart stopping inside my chest as he stepped around a gray Ford Escape another man was working on.
He was even more handsome than he was the last time I saw him.
“Can I help y—” He broke off, his blue eyes going wide when he realized that it was me. “Hi.”
All of a sudden, everything I’d planned to say flew out of my head. All of the eloquent words I’d strung together were gone. And I just proceeded to word vomit.
“Did you know that, uh, when you marry someone you’re not in love with, you won’t… you won’t grow into it?” I asked, my voice shaking. “Um… I married a man who could give me a life I thought I always wanted, and he just… sucked.” Eyes stinging, I fought back against tears. “And I thought that all I ever wanted was the life I have now, was the life movie stars and the Kardashians lived. But… But I hate it. I hated every second I was away from you.” I let out a weak laugh, unable to stop the tears. “I wanted to turn around the second I got on the bus in New Orleans, but my stupid stubborn ass didn’t. I should have. I should’ve gotten off and just run right back to you because I… I love you, James. I always have.”
The garage had gone almost deadly quiet, and my heart sank when I realized Bucky looked almost frozen in shock.
“I know that I shouldn’t have showed up like this,” I scrambled to say. “But I… I’ve been trying to get my divorce finalized for two years and I finally did, and I kept telling myself that once it was done, I’d never hold myself back from what I really want ever again. From who I want. If… If you want me.” My face felt like it was on fire, my hands shaking. I shook my head as I took a step backwards. “What am I thinking? There’s no way you’re not married. I… I’m so so—”
Before I could finish the word ‘sorry,’ Bucky had closed the distance between us, his hands cradling my face so gently. He held me like I was made of fine crystal as he kissed me. He kissed me like his life depended on it, like I was the one source of oxygen.
And I kissed him back just as fiercely. “I love you. I love you so much,” I breathed out in between kisses, unwilling to let him go as my Hermés bag fell into the dust and oil on the concrete below.
Bucky smiled into the kiss, his arm wrapping around my waist to keep me pressed to his chest. “I love you so much, darlin.’ God, I’ve missed you…” His nose nudged against mine as we finally broke for air, both of us breathing heavily.
My knees felt like Jell-O as I held onto him. His grip was the only reason I hadn’t fallen to the ground already.
“I’m sorry I was a dumb twenty-two year old,” I said, snorting as he stole another kiss.
“No… Don’t be sorry,” he insisted, his fingers massaging my scalp as our foreheads pressed together. It was like he was scared to stop touching me, like I would disappear at any second. “You were young… You had to go out and make your own mistakes… I’ve just been waiting for the day you were ready.”
All the years apart melted away and all that remained was the two of us, two souls so intertwined that there was no way to truly separate us.
Our lips were half molded together as I said, “I’m never leaving you again. I promise I swear on everything…”
My heart almost stopped inside my chest as I heard someone clearing their throat, looking to see Bucky’s father staring at us with his arms crossed over his chest. “M-Mr. Barnes, sir…”
He gave a crooked smile that was so reminiscent of Bucky that I couldn’t help but grin back. “The Mrs. will wanna know if you’re staying for dinner.”
“Yeah,” I said as I looked up at Bucky, toying with a strand of his hair. “That sounds perfect.”
Later that night, Bucky and I laid in his bed, a mess of bare limbs as his fingers ran up and down my back soothingly. “What do you want from this life, baby girl?” He asked absentmindedly.
Humming, I traced shapes on his bare chest, sometimes pressing a kiss to where his prosthetic met his shoulder, on the tender scar tissue. “You.”
A grin tugged at the corner of his mouth, despite the already mischievous look on his face. “Really? Not even the stars and the moon?” He asked teasingly.
I knew he’d give it to me anyway, give me all that he could. But I was sure now that the only thing I wanted from this life was his love. “Not even the stars and the moon.”

ENHYPEN reaction to you singing
Genre: fluff
Warnings: none
w/c: 130+ per member, enjoy! :)
Heeseung
You were at the dorm alone, so you decided to sing along to one of your favourite songs. You never let anyone hear you sing because you thought your voice was bad.
You were singing and you didn’t realise that Heeseung had walked through the door. Once he saw that the voice was coming from you, he stopped in his tracks. He was in awe of how good your voice was and stood there to continue to listen. After the song was done, Heeseung started clapping, which made you shy and hid your face in your hands.
“Don’t be shy! Your voice is beautiful!” He said as he walked over and gave you a hug. That night, he asked you to sing him to sleep, which you did, of course.
Jay
You and Jay were out on a walk and decided to stop at a coffee shop and get something to drink. Since you weren’t a fan of coffee you asked him to get you a small snack. He nodded and walked inside the shop. Once you were sure he was inside, you started singing a song that has been stuck in your head. Not too loud, but not too quiet.
You didn’t even realise that he had walked out of the shop before he tapped you on the shoulder and you jumped.
“You startled me!” You said as you took your donut. “Sorry, but I gotta say, your voice is really nice,” he said as he kissed your cheek. “T-thanks,” you stuttered as you took his hand and started walking again.
Jake
You and him went to a party, and there was karaoke, a dance floor, and a bar. People were asking people to do karaoke and you said yes, deciding it was time to finally let out your voice. You were nervous but you pushed yourself to do it. For the first minute you were up there, Jake was in the washroom, but then you saw him come out, and you mentally panicked, but you kept on singing.
Once the song was done, people clapped and you went to go get a drink, but Jake pulled you by the waist to give you a back hug.
“Since when did you sing?” He asked, “when I was 6,” you replied. “I love your voice, it sounds so angelic,” he compliments as you blush.
Sunghoon
You were an idol as well, and you were backstage, getting ready for your first performance with the rest of your group. Sunghoon came backstage to wish you and your members good luck.
It was finally time to go onstage, and your members walked on and started performing. You barely sang in front of anyone but now was the time so you forced your voice out of your throat and realised it’s really not that bad, it’s actually kind of fun to perform. Now you know why Sunghoon doesn’t stop talking about how excited he is to perform.
You guys walk off stage and you’re immediately met with a big hug from Sunghoon.
“So a big crowd gets to hear your voice before me?” He says as you chuckle. “But, all jokes aside, your voice is beautiful.”
Sunoo
It was getting late, and you couldn’t fall asleep, so, being the good boyfriend he is, sang you to sleep, and it worked. But about 4 hours later he wakes you up to complain that he can’t fall asleep, so you decide to sing him to sleep, and you start singing a song off the top of your head while playing with his soft hair.
He slowly drifts off to sleep and you smile at his cute face before falling asleep yourself.
The next morning, once you both wake up, he doesn’t stop talking about how beautiful your voice was and how you should sing him to sleep more often.
You finally shut him up by singing again and he calmed down. Let’s just say for the rest of the day you were used as a human teddy bear.
Jungwon
Jungwon always joked around that he had the talents in the relationship, and you both knew it was a joke, but sometimes it didn’t feel like one.
So one day, you were humming a melody while making food for you and Jungwon, and you could help but mumble a few words to the melody. Even though you were singing so quietly, Jungwon was right behind you and could hear every word that you sang, well, more like mumbled.
You were startled when he wrapped his arms around your waist from behind, engulfing you in a backhug.
“Won, don’t do that!” You scolded him, ignoring the fact that he might’ve heard you singing, which he did. He chuckles, “sorry, but I heard you singing, you should sing more often.” He says as he kisses your cheek.
Ni-ki
You were helping Ni-ki practice a few dance moves at the hybe building, then one of your original songs started playing.
“Really, babe, one of my songs on your playlist?” You said as you walked over to get your water bottle. “It’s a good song! And plus, this was the first song I heard that I got to hear your voice, so it’s my favourite,” he says as he sits down beside you and wraps an arm around you. You sigh,
“why do you have to be so cheesy sometimes?” you ask as you try to stand back up, but he pulls you back down. “Just because I love you, y/n,”
“now you’re being more cheesy, let's just keep on practising,” you say as you stand up. He chuckles and follows you.

The house was silent and still when you got back from your morning run. Not wanting to disturb the peace, or wake the sleeping beast a few rooms over, you left your headphones on to listen to your music. You nodded your head along with the beat as you got yourself a glass of water. You downed the entire thing in one go before bracing yourself against the counter in front of the sink. Letting yourself have a few moments to really catch your breath, you shut your eyes. You could feel the sweat dripping down your chest and back and the only thought that took over your mind was that you desperately wanted to take a shower.
Shutting off your music and taking off your headphones, you made your way down towards the bathroom. You peeked into the bedroom, smiling when you saw Angel sprawled out on his stomach, snoring peacefully. Biting back a laugh, you continued down the hallway.
By the time you got out of the shower, you could hear the television playing in the living room. You tied the towel around yourself and made your way down the hall to find Angel. He was sprawled out on the couch, cup of coffee perched carefully on his chest as he watched the television.
You walked over and sat on the arm of the couch, looking down at him with a smile as you lazily raked your fingers through his hair, “Good morning, handsome.”
He looked up at you, a smile breaking out across his features, “Good morning, querida,” he reached back and dragged his fingers along the fabric of the towel, “Go for a run this morning?”
You nodded, “Yea. I don’t know why I do that shit to myself,” you laughed.
He sat up, placing his coffee on the table before leaning his head against the outside of your thigh, “Plans for the day?”
You shook your head, “None, really. You got club shit today?”
He chuckled at the bluntness of your statement before shaking his head, “Nah, not today. Day off.”
“Wow,” you smiled, cupping one side of his face in your hand, “A day off? For Angel Reyes? Sounds fake.”
He laughed before sitting up and pushing you off the arm of the couch, “Go get dressed and I’ll get started on breakfast.”
Laughing, you adjusted the towel wrapped around our torso, “Okay, okay. Get the smoothie stuff out for me, please?”
“Smoothie?”
“Yea. I’ve been making them in the mornings after I run.”
He opened the freezer and saw the multiple different bags of frozen fruit you’d gotten for your morning ritual. He looked back and forth between you and the freezer, “What ones?”
“You having one?”
He shrugged, “Sure?”
You laughed, “Alright. Grab the strawberry then. Oh, and the pineapple.”
When you walked back into the kitchen, Angel was intently watching the French toast that was cooking on the stove. You smiled to yourself as you got the blender set up. You hummed quietly to yourself as you grabbed the oat milk from the fridge, pouring it in after throwing a few handfuls of frozen fruit into the blender.
Hitting the pulse button, you swayed to the song stuck in your head. You caught Angel in your peripheral, watching you with a giant grin on his face as you blended everything together.
“What?” you took your finger off the button.
He shook his head, still smiling, “Nothin’. Just, you look so happy with your fruits over there, that’s all.”
You filled a cup for each of you, handing Angel his with a curious smile on your face. You figured that he’d like it. He was many things, but picky about food and drinks wasn’t one of them. He took a sip and immediately nodded, taking a larger gulp before returning his focus to the stove.
“How long you been doin’ this?”
You shrugged, sipping on your own smoothie, “Two months? Ish? I think,” you chuckled, “Time is sort of irrelevant these days.”
“Two months and you never thought to offer any to your man?” he rolled his eyes, “Disrespectful.”
You laughed, “Drama queen. I’ll be sure to start making extra for you, alright?” you paused, “You like this one?” When he nodded in response, you smiled, “Good. Pineapple is good for you, you know.”
“Isn’t all fruit good for you?” he laughed.
“Yea, but,” you paused, taking a moment to look at his expression, “Do you not know what they say about pineapple?”
Confusion was written all over his face, “The fuck do they say about pineapple?”
You smiled knowingly, shaking your head, “Google it later,” you grabbed a couple plates out of the cabinet, “Let’s eat.”
Once breakfast was finished, you gathered up the plates and cups to bring them over to the dishwasher. Angel walked up behind you as you stacked them in, wrapping his arms around your waist and resting his chin on your shoulder, “You wanna do anything today?”
You looked back over your shoulder at him, a soft smile on your face, “Wanna just get out for a bit? Or would you rather stay home on your day off?”
“Whatever you want, querida,” he kissed your shoulder.
“I was gonna get some shopping done today. Just a couple things for the house, and groceries. You can come with me if you want, but I won’t be offended if you’d rather just stay home.”
He smiled, “Will you push me around in the cart at the grocery store?”
You laughed, “Absolutely not.”
“Well,” he chuckled, kissing your neck lightly, “I’ll still go with you anyway.”
“Alright,” you shut the dishwasher and turned around to face him, “Let me go put a different shirt on and then we can go, okay?”
You were pawing through your dresser when you heard Angel shout from the other end of the house, “Babe!” his heavy footsteps came quickly down the hall and he flung himself through the doorway of the bedroom, phone gripped tight in his hand, “Is this true??” he shoved the phone screen in your face so you could see his Google search.
You laughed, shrugging, “I mean, probably. Can’t hurt, right?”
“It’ll really, you know,” he gestured vaguely to the crotch of his pants.
You tried hard to bite back the laugh bubbling up in your chest, “That’s what they say.”
He tossed the phone onto the bed and grabbed you by your shoulders, looking you in your eyes, “We need to buy every pineapple at the store today. I’ll eat a whole one every day.”
You couldn’t contain your laughter, “That seems a little excessive, Angel.”
“It’s for science, querida. We gotta do our research.”
You smiled, nodding, “Alright, whatever you want, Dr. Reyes,” you leaned in, kissing him and nipping lightly at his bottom lip, “For science.”
He turned and grabbed his phone off the bed, fingers quickly flying across the screen. You tilted your head curiously, “Whatcha doing?”
He didn’t look up from the phone, “Puttin’ this shit in the group chat. The guys gotta know about this.”

— as your college roommate
Tumblr media
a/n: im on summer break now !! while i do have stuff planned for the summer ill still be pretty active on this blog (it may not seem like it but im on here almost 24/7 now LOL <33) im currently trying to get my life together (and playing too much genshin) after the hell of the school year so writing is still a bit hard for me to get back into ,,, hopefully this isn’t too bad
pairing(s): itadori yuuji x f!reader, fushiguro megumi x f!reader, kugisaki nobara x f!reader, gojo satoru x f!reader (they’re all platonic btw)
genre: fluff, some chaos
word count: 1.1k
Tumblr media
itadori yuuji
enter pure sunshine >:)
be prepared for loads of serotonin HSKSHS
he’s an amazing roommate. super respectful of your privacy, and won’t invade your personal space
he'll be over the moon to be best friends with his roommate, but if you aren't really into that he understands and will respect your boundaries
he offers to do a lot of the cleaning on his own and tells you not to feel bad about it :(
his space isn't the most organized though, he'll need some help on that
his side of the room is filled with posters (except his jennifer lawrence ones bc he didn’t want you to feel uncomfortable)
on days where you’re staying up late to finish homework, he’ll bring up meals for you from the dining halls (he’ll even stay up with you sometimes)
whenever he's coming back late from hanging out with his friends (or partying) , he'll try be as quiet as possible not to wake you up
if you have the same classes, the two of you will walk to your lectures together
movie nights almost every weekend no exceptions (unless its midterm or finals week because :'))
if either of you didn't stay up all night working or have any classes in the early morning then both of you will eat breakfast from the dining hall together
gym buddies :)) he'll also take you on jogs during the evenings (assuming you don't have classes or plans)
overall, he's just a great roommate and super fun to be around
fushiguro megumi
unlike itadori, who'd initiate a friendship with his roommate almost immediately, he's a lot more reserved, so it'll take some time for him to warm up to you
the first few weeks were a bit awkward because of this
he was like a ghost, leaving the dorm before you even woke up and came back after you fell asleep
you almost never saw him during the day either, even if you had classes with him
it's not that he didn't want to be friends with his roommate, he was just really skeptical
you can't really complain though because he's extremely organized, and his side of the room almost never gets dirty
like itadori, he'll offer to do some chores for you
he also tries to be as quiet as possible when returning home late to not distrub you
once he warms up to you, you find that he's actually very sweet and caring, just in his own ways, which are rather subtle
if you get sick during the semester, he'll go out of his way to get you medicine and food, but he won't tell you he did and just leave it on the nightstand next to your bed
the two of you will bond over late night study sessions and mental breakdowns :')
he'll help you organize your stuff on your side of the room if you need it
yours and his schedules are stuck on the fridge so the two of you know what times either of you are free to get chores done or to hang out
if you guys have classes together, he'll offer to tutor you if you need help with the material
he doesn't like going to parties that much (mostly itadori and kugisaki are dragging him to them) but usually he'll bring with you along so he's not as lonely (bc we all know how crazy the two idiots can get)
kugisaki nobara
hypewoman roommate (the definition of hot girl shit)
she wasn't expecting to be besties with her roommate, but she's grateful she did
she drags you to all the parties she's going to (and the two of you take turns hauling the other's drunk ass back to the dorm)
she'll take you shopping with her whenever you're free
her side of the room isn't the cleanest, you gotta help her with that (otherwise you both will forever live in a sea of clothes and papers and personal belongings)
she makes you get breakfast and coffee with her every morning
she's kinda loud ,,,, her alarm might scare you bc of how high the volume is LMAO
ironically she'll sleep past her alarm and then not show up to class ,,, then you have to give her your notes
like with fushiguro, the two of you have put your schedules together so you guys could find when yall are free to hang out
the two of you also split chores between each other weekly, and it changes depending on how busy each of you are
if you have the same classes as her, she'll ask you to take notes for her whenever she can't make it to class (as in she overslept her loudass alarm)
if your fashion sense wasn't the best before ,,, be prepared for improvement this girl will REVAMP your entire closet
has you as her emergency contact because of the amount of shit she gets into
whenever the two of you go out, you're her camera person, always taking pictures for her social media
she makes tiktoks with you almost everyday
studying with her is just ,,,,, a whole shitshow (pls help this girl)
okay but if you need help with anything (that isn’t studying), she’s you go-to person. relationship advice? boom matchmaker in heaven. having self esteem issues? she’ll hype tf out for you
you're never gonna have a boring experience with her as your roommate
gojo satoru
ah yes, the extremely hot and rich roommate
but unfortunately, that's all there is to him (aside from the fact that he's incredibly smart)
his side of the room is so messy you can barely even walk to your side without tripping on something of his
he comes home very late all the time, and doesn't make the effort to stay quiet sometimes
he's loud in the mornings (he doesn't sleep much so he's almost always up earlier than you)
he will bug you into coming with him to doing stuff with him even if you're busy
he almost never does his chores, and don't even start on making him go grocery shopping
one time you sent him to do grocery shopping on his own because you were too busy to go, he ended up coming back with a lifetime supply of mochi and other sweets and NOTHING ELSE
ever since then you went shopping with him so he wouldn't overfill your mini fridge again
if it wasn't for the fact that he's rich and was willing to pay for the rent in full without your input, you would've left immediately (but being broke asf you couldn't turn down the opportunity of not having to worry about living expenses)
okay but when you're staying up late at night to study for exams or doing assignments ,,,, this man will literally just sit there and laugh at your misery (like sir help me)
he'll eventually help you (after teasing the shit out of you) and then world peace is restored
if you have a roommate like him ,,, i wish you the best of luck ,,, for you and your patience and sanity

Happy Birthday, Cas! Word Count: 3K Rating: T Summary: Appalled that Cas has never had a birthday party before, Jack drags Dean into his schemes to plan a surprise party for him. Dean finally works up the courage to tell Cas how he feels. Notes: love confessions, first kiss, lots of fluff, and lots of Cas' family showing up much they care
Also read on AO3!
"You've never celebrated Cas' birthday?!" Jack exclaimed by way of greeting at -- Dean groaned and rolled over to check the time. -- 6:47 in the morning.
"Jack..." Dean sighed, dragging his hand down his face and sitting up in bed. "We've been over this. You promised not to come barging in here until at least 8:30."
"Huh?" Jack titled his head at Dean before his gaze trailed over to the bedside clock. "Oh. Sorry. I forgot to check the time."
"All those God powers and you can't even conjure up a watch?" Dean grumbled as he threw the sheets off his legs and planted his feet on the floor. "Now what were you saying about Cas?"
"His birthday!" Jack's expression was too damn excitable for this early in the morning. "I was telling him about how we celebrated my birthday after Mrs. Butters left, and I asked him about his birthday, and he said he'd never celebrated one before!"
Dean frowned at Jack. This was what he was woken up for? "Kid, I don't think he has one. The dude's older than calendars."
Jack was undaunted. "Yeah, but he was born, right? Even angels are born."
Okay, it was way too early for existential questions. He needed coffee. Dean grunted his acknowledgment and dragged himself to his feet. "Did Cas say when his birthday was?"
"Well, no." Jack furrowed his brow for just a second before his face lit up in enthusiasm. "Why don't we celebrate today?"
Dean stared at Jack. Jack's eyes were wide and sincere and full of love, just like his dad's. And, apparently, just as effective. "Alright..." Dean said with a defeated sigh. Who was he to deny the kid a chance to make his dad happy? "Whacha wanna do for his birthday?"
Jack beamed. "A surprise party! With cake!"
"Yeah, I figured as much." Dean scrubbed at his hair and wiped the last of the sleep out of his eyes as he shuffled his feet into his slippers. "Coffee first, though. Then the store."
"What kind of cake should we make?" Jack asked an hour later, as he and Dean pondered every box mix the grocery store had to offer.
“Hmm…” Dean eyeballed the box of funfetti mix. Jack would probably like that one best. It had sprinkles baked in. Dean kind of wanted a classic chocolate cake. And Cas, well. He wouldn’t care. He’d probably take two bites at most, just to appease Jack.
“This one.” Dean’s eyes twinkled with mischief as he reached for a box and held it out for Jack.
“Angel food cake?” Jack read.
Dean nodded, his grin widening at his little joke. “Yeah! It’s special. Angels love it, ya know.”
Jack tilted his head at Dean, then the box, before a smile bloomed across his face. “You gave me angel food cake once. I really liked it! Is that why you got it for me?”
Dean thought back to that drive, and his little snack cakes morality test. “Yup. That was definitely why.” He snatched the box from Jack’s hand and tossed it into the cart before he could ask more questions. “Let’s wrap this up before Cas wonders why we’ve been gone so long.”
If Cas was ignorant of Jack’s birthday plans before, he wasn’t for long. Neither Dean nor Jack thought to do much to conceal the contents of their shopping bags when they returned home. Or figure out a way to keep Cas from wandering the bunker. So when he stumbled upon the two of them hauling bags toward the kitchen, both Dean and Jack traded suspicious glances.
“Dean and I will be in the kitchen for awhile,” Jack said seriously, cutting straight to the chase. “Do not come in there though!”
“Oh?” Cas’ gaze flickered down to their bags. A package of birthday hats stuck out of the opening of one. A canister of rainbow sprinkles was nestled at the top of another. His mouth twitched as his eyes softened with warmth. When they met Dean’s eyes, Dean’s stomach did a flip. Cas’ eyes grew even warmer.
‘He loves you,’ Dean’s thoughts helpfully supplied at the worst possible moment, ensuring Dean’s face burned with a fierce blush right as Cas looked his most adoring. Dean hastily averted his gaze.
Cas hadn’t been back from the Empty for long, only a couple of weeks really. But it felt like an eternity.
Because Dean hadn’t told him yet. He hadn’t looked him in the eyes and said ‘I love you too.’ Hadn’t dragged him in by the lapels of his stupid trenchcoat and kissed him senseless. Hadn’t held him close and promised him that he could have Dean, all of him, for as long as he wanted to keep him.
The moment had never been right. There were always people around. Jack. Sam. So many of their friends, eager to see them and celebrate their victory over Chuck and their newfound freedom. Things were only now starting to quiet down, and still Dean hadn’t worked up the courage to tell him.
“It’s for a surprise,” Jack continued, pulling Dean from his thoughts. “Er, not a surprise! We’re not planning any surprises!” Dean barely controlled his eyeroll. The kid really needed to work on his lying. “It’s something you can’t know about until later. So don’t even think about peeking!”
Cas and Dean traded knowing looks. Dean shrugged a little. “I wouldn’t dream of it,” Cas assured Jack.
Jack brightened. “Great! Come on, Dean. Let’s go!” He practically skipped toward the kitchen, radiating enthusiasm with every step. Dean sighed and followed after him, already anticipating the huge mess at the end of all this. At least it was just box mix. That was easy enough to handle.
As it turned out, even box mix wasn’t foolproof.
“Is it supposed to look like that?” Jack asked in concern. He poked at the misshapen mess of their cake.
“Probably not.” Dean shrugged. It was a disaster zone, is what it was. Apparently angel food cake required a special pan. It looked similar enough to a bundt pan, though, so Dean thought it was an okay substitute. Clearly not. Or maybe they overmixed it? Was that why it sunk into this lumpy, craggy mess and then fell apart when they tried to shake it out of the pan?
“But ya know, homemade cake never looks as fancy as the stuff you get at the store, but it tastes just as good.” He slapped Jack on the back. “Put some frosting on this thing, maybe some decorations, and we’re golden.”
And so they set to work. Jack clearly had a vision of what he wanted, pulling supplies from the pantry to add to the disaster cake. He insisted on covering it in a thick layer of chocolate frosting, even though Dean tried to tell him angel food cake didn’t usually need it. It was vital to what he was creating. A full hour passed, and somehow the thing looked even worse than when it first flopped out of the pan.
“Cas is gonna love it,” Dean said anyway, because he knew it was true. Jack beamed with pride.
“At what point am I no longer banned from the kitchen?” Almost as if on cue, Cas’ voice called out from down the hallway. “Am I allowed to walk past it? I’d like to go into the library.”
“You can come in!” Jack yelled back, practically bouncing on the balls of his feet with excitement.
Dean looked around at the decoration-less kitchen, the party hats and the balloons still in their packaging. “Wait, hold on--” he began, but it was too late.
“SURPRISE!” Jack shouted as Cas rounded the corner. “Happy birthday, Cas!”
“A surprise for me?” Cas didn’t even seem to notice that the only things in the kitchen were a weird brown blob of cake and a massive mess. He was smiling from ear to ear at Jack with that special, endeared smile parents reserved just for their children. “But I told you I didn’t have a birthday,” Cas said. Which he and Jack had talked about literally hours ago. Before Jack raced off to talk with Dean and plan an impromptu trip to the store before baking all morning.
Yeah. Cas definitely knew what Jack was planning today.
“Well, Jack decided today was your birthday. So, happy birthday.” Dean shrugged a little in a ‘Kids. What can ya do?’ sort of way.
Cas’ expression softened. “Today is a perfect day for a birthday.”
“We made a cake!” Jack bounded over to Cas and practically dragged him to the kitchen counter. “Do you like it?”
“It is…” Cas frowned and knit his eyebrows together at the monstrosity before him. “An inside-out hedgehog?”
“It’s a Sarlacc Pit!” Jack exclaimed while Dean clutched at the table, doubled-over with laughter. Jack pointed out the pretzel rods jutting out around the misshapen, lumpy hole in the center of the sunken cake. They’d done their best to make the chocolate frosting around it look like smooth sand, but of course it was way too brown. And bits of warm cake kept breaking off while they iced it. “That’s its teeth, and that’s the sand. It’s a Star Wars cake!”
“Oh, of course it is!” Cas said generously. He patted Jack’s shoulder. “It’s wonderful, Jack. And Dean.” He nodded at Dean, who was still trying to catch his breath.
“Yeah we’ve got ourselves the next Cake Boss over here. If the God thing doesn’t work out.” Dean’s voice rippled with laughter. He snatched up the bag of party hats and ripped it open. Cas looked exceedingly tolerant as Dean snapped one on his head with an impish grin. “So birthday boy, whacha wanna do on your special day?”
“Oh I know!” Jack exclaimed. His enthusiasm was infectious. “First we’ve gotta…”
The day wound up being more about Jack than Cas. Or rather, Jack doing all the things he loved to do with Cas. There was a Star Wars movie marathon. There was cake. There were more board games than Dean had played in a lifetime. Dean had a sneaking suspicion Cas let Jack win most of them.
But Cas had smiled almost non-stop the entire day, probably more than Dean had seen the entire thirteen years since he’d met him. And yeah, Dean knew why. What was better to do on his birthday than spend time with his kid?
By the end of the day, even Cas was looking a little tired. Dean was absolutely exhausted. He was half-tempted to drag himself to bed early, but when Jack finally retired to his own room to give Dean and Cas some time together, there wasn’t any hesitation about settling down in his favorite armchair, Cas beside him, with two glasses of Dean’s favorite whiskey to share.
The drink was warming through his limbs, but the light in Cas’ eyes was warmer. He looked content, if not a little overwhelmed by all the love his little family had shown him today. Dean leaned back in his chair and let the peacefulness of the moment wash over him.
“You know, it’s serendipitous Jack chose today for my birthday.” Cas smiled down at his glass.
Dean cracked a sleepy eye open. “Yeah? Why?”
“Well, today is the anniversary of the day I raised you from perdition.”
Dean stared at Cas. Cas eyes twinkled with nostalgia. “Really?” Cas nodded, and Dean laughed. “Well then I suppose it’s really my re-birthday.”
Cas chuckled. “I’ll remind Jack to bake two cakes next year.” They fell into easy silence, nursing their drinks as they reflected on the years.
“It really is a good birth date,” Cas said awhile later. “I may have been alive for eons before then, but the day I met you was when I changed...That was when I really started living.”
Dean’s heart leapt into his throat, Cas’ love confession ringing in his ears. “Didn’t I stab you?” he joked weakly, deflecting the spiraling nerves that bubbled up in his chest.
Cas laughed. “Yes. Yes, you did. I didn’t realize it at the time, but even then you were making me feel. Mostly confusion,” he added with a wry twist of his lips. “I saved you from eternal damnation, and you repaid me by stabbing me in the chest!” Despite his amusement, Cas’ eyes were overflowing with warmth and affection. Dean could almost read the thoughts going on behind them. ‘I fell a little bit in love with you right then.’
“What can I say? I have that effect on people.” ‘Now,’ his thoughts urged. ‘Tell him now!’ “I dunno what I’d have done without you,” Dean mused around a sip of whiskey. A little more liquid courage. A little more and he could do this.
“Another angel would have been sent. You would have been pulled from Hell anyway.”
“Not what I meant, Cas,” Dean said, rolling his eyes. “All of it. All the crap we’ve been through. All the crap Chuck put us through. Put me through.” He watched the way the warm lamplight reflected off his drink. “I...I’m glad I had a best friend through it all. You know?”
“Yes,” Cas said, but there was a twinge of sadness in his voice that made Dean look up. He was smiling softly, but the longing in his eyes was impossible to miss.
Dean sighed. His gut churned with fear and guilt and yearning. He knew Cas loved him. And he knew he loved Cas. Hell, he’d known that for a helluva lot longer than he’d known of Cas’ feelings. He just needed one little push to make him confront those feelings head-on.
“Ya know, I think I have one more present for you.” Dean set his glass down with heavy meaning. He nodded to himself and stood up, his jaw set firm, his eyes determined.
“You do?” Cas started to ask. “What--” And before he could finish his sentence, Dean crawled into the chair with him, his knees straddling Cas’ hips, bracing himself against the backrest with one hand. Cas’ eyes went huge. “Dean?” His voice trembled.
Dean was pretty sure he looked even more nervous, but he’d be damned if he owned up to it. “Hey birthday boy,” he hummed, forcing a flirtatious smile despite the anxiety pounding in his chest. He was going to kiss Cas. God how he wanted to kiss Cas.
But instead of looking delighted Cas looked...hurt. “Dean, you don’t have to do this for me.”
Dean’s heart went cold. “For you? You don’t think I want this?”
“No,” Cas said simply. Honestly. His bright blue eyes were so close now, but the heartache in them was almost painful to look at.
Dean swallowed thickly. “Well then you’re dumber than you look,” he teased, forcing bravado he did not feel. Dean leaned in until his forehead rested against Cas’. He could feel Cas’ warm breath across his lips. “Cas, if I could pick anyone in the whole damn world to be with, it’d be my best friend. You know that, right?” Cas licked his lips. Dean yearned to tilt his head down and catch them with his own. “But I thought you didn’t...Couldn’t...Well, I thought love wasn’t something angels did.”
“But I told you, Dean. When the Empty came, I told you--”
“Yeah I know. But you know how I drag my ass for important stuff.” That finally elicited a tiny puff of laughter from Cas. Dean smiled. “Come on, man. Cut me some slack. Lemme use this as an excuse to nut up and kiss you.”
As it turned out, Dean didn’t need to, because Cas surged up and pressed their lips together.
Dean gasped into the kiss as his hand resettled itself on Cas’ shoulder. Cas’ glass clattered as he hastily set it on the table in order to hold Dean’s waist with both hands. Cas kissed like he was starving for it, voracious and desperate, licking his way into Dean’s mouth without preamble and moaning deeply into the heat he found there.
Dean gave as good as he got, letting over a decade of longing finally escape through the hot, greedy press of their lips together, through the long trailing kisses along Cas’ jaw while Cas dragged his hands down Dean’s back and up underneath his shirt.
“We should...do this in my room…” Dean whispered in Cas’ ear as his teeth nipped at the sensitive area. Cas nodded and, without warning, stood up with Dean still wrapped around him. Dean startled and reflexively jerked his feet down toward the floor, though he realized with delight that Cas could almost certainly carry him the entire way if he wanted. Later. He’d test that out later. For now Dean grabbed Cas by the tie with a lecherous twinkle in his eye and hauled him in the direction of his bedroom. Soon to be their bedroom, if Dean had anything to say about it.
Much, much later, when they were tangled together beneath the sheets with Dean’s head nestled on Cas’ chest, Dean realized that Cas had been wrong. Because his happiest moment wasn’t when the Empty took him away. It wasn’t in just saying how he felt.
Because it was in loving, yes, but it was also in being loved.
Because when Dean peeked up at Cas’ face, he was radiating so much happiness Dean’s heart ached from it. Today was the happiest he’d ever been. And perhaps tomorrow, if Dean had anything to say about it, tomorrow he’d be even happier.
Cas’ eyes were full of love as he carded his fingers through Dean’s hair. “I know I don’t have any others to compare this against, but today was a very good birthday.”
“Good.” Dean pressed a sleepy kiss to Cas’ skin as his eyes drifted closed. “You deserve it.”

so @nikosheba and I fell down a bit of a fanfiction rabbit hole, coming soon to AO3…
When we finally got to the mall, Cassie and Jake were waiting at our usual table in the food court. Cassie was poking at a basket of fries, and Jake looked edgy and nervous. I couldn’t blame him. The last time we’d seen this place it was a bombed-out wreck.
“Marco’s not answering his phone,” he said when we sat down. “But I’m gonna stop by his place, see what’s up. Before we have to take care of that stuff.”
I didn’t smile, but I would have, if I was used to lips. Code, again, after not needing it for so long.
“I want to go alone,” I said, looking him right in the eye. I might have trusted him with my life and death, but I wasn’t about to let him argue with me on this. “He’s my dad. I want him to know I know.”
“Tobias…” Cassie said, but Jake raised a hand to cut her off. For once, I was glad - I didn’t need anyone worrying about my feelings this time. I knew what I needed to do, and I didn’t feel anything but certainty.
“You’ll haul ass with the cube after you see him? We’re not gonna have to deal with ‘kids setting off fireworks’ and snooping cops kidnapping my - Cassie?”
“Yeah,” I told him. “I’ll head back to the barn, give Cassie the cube, and tomorrow morning we can all start getting morphs.”
“Tonight,” Jake said. “All of us. We’ve got some serious planning to do before we can even think about sleeping.”
He looked at me, hard. He wasn’t really asking me if I was going to challenge him, but I knew that’s what he meant. Underneath the rounder face and bonier arms, he was still the same old Jake, and he’d learned too much about being a soldier.
I knew when to pick my battles. I backed down.
“Yeah, okay,” I said. “Tonight. You guys will wait for me?”
“We will,” Cassie said. “Rachel, you can help me make a list of all the morphs we’ll need while Jake goes to get Marco. And we can call around and tell people’s parents where they are.”
“Don’t bother,” I said. “I’m not gonna go back to my uncle’s.”
“You’re not getting stuck in morph again,” Rachel said.
“Absolutely not,” I said. I had no way of knowing if the Ellimist was a part of all this, and I didn’t feel like needing to find out. “But spending the rest of my time in seventh grade? Living with my idiot uncle? Like hell I’m doing that shit again.”
“Where are you gonna stay?” Cassie asked.
“I figure I can camp out in the meadow,” I said. “Ax will be here soon, anyway. I can stay with him.” That was one reunion I wasn’t really looking forward to. I kept telling myself there was no guarantee he’d remember anything, but I didn’t really believe it.
“Shit, you’re right,” Jake said. “We gotta go get him.”
“At least we know where and how this time,” Cassie said. “And no Pool raid means Visser Three won’t know there are ‘Andalite terrorists’ on Earth. We’ll have more time.”
“We will,” Rachel said. She sounded focused. Excited. More like her old self. “We could totally wreck their shit.”
“Later,” Jake interrupted. “Cut the chatter. We’ve got places to be.”
“Fine,” Rachel sighed, and then looked at me. “Actually, Tobias?”
“Oh, no,” Cassie said. “I know that look.”
“Oh no what?” Jake demanded, but Rachel waved him off.
“I’ve gotta take my boyfriend shopping,” she said. “No way am I letting him meet his dad dressed like that.”
Rachel dragged me to the Gap, Old Navy, a Payless, and a barbershop, and I came out of it with four different outfits, three pairs of shoes, and a haircut that she insisted made me look sophisticated. I knew better than to argue with her, but I was pretty sure I just looked like me.
“Okay,” she said at last, as I was changing behind a dumpster on the far side of the mall, “you’re ready. At least, you look ready. Way more ready than that hoodie-T-shirt-sweatpants ensemble.”
“It’s not like I’ve needed clothes the past few years,” I said. “And anyway, how am I supposed to know what looks good without you to tell me?”
She smiled, softly, in the way that meant I’d really charmed her. I hadn’t seen one of those smiles in a long time.
“It’s a good thing I’m here, then,” she said, and I looked at her and hoped she knew I was nearly smiling back. But we couldn’t stand around and chat. The sun was setting, and I couldn’t risk missing the crash.
“I’ll see you at the barn,” I said, angling my head at her like it was mine and not the human one.
“I’ll be there,” she answered, picking up the armfuls of shopping bags. “Go tell Prince Elfangor that I’m gonna kick Visser Three right in the dick for him, okay?”
“Yeah,” I said, warmth blooming up in my chest. “I’ll tell him you’re gonna send that slug straight to hell.”

Stray in the Street
TOMMY SHELBY X READER
2.3K Words
Tumblr media
She found him unconscious in the street and even though she knew she shouldn’t, she dragged him into her house. It was pouring down with rain and if she left him out there on the street in the rain, she doubted he’d be alive in the morning.
While he wasn’t as heavy as she thought he would be, it was still a hassle to pull him up and drag him to her house. At first, she had thought he was drunk and had collapsed into the street as that wasn’t uncommon for her street but it was until she had dragged him in front of her fireplace and turned the lights of her front room on did she realise that he was far from a drunk.
He had cuts and bruises littered on his face and hands and (Y/N) would bet that there was more underneath his shirt. She left the stranger by the fireplace in hopes that it would dry him off and keep him warm as she collected her first aid kit, a bowl of water and a clean rag, she didn’t know much first aid but she knew enough to clean the cuts out and bandage them.
She didn’t know what to think of the man as she cleaned and disinfected his cuts, he looked vulnerable as he laid unconscious with his head on her lap and (Y/N) couldn’t help but wonder what he had gotten into that had left him like that. Maybe he had some unpaid debts or perhaps slept with the wife of a rich and important man but whatever it was, it must have been serious.
(Y/N) was exhausted, she had been up early and had been working all day so all she wanted to do was sleep but she couldn’t with the stranger in her house. He could wake up in a panic, having no clue where the hell he was and she would have to explain but despite all that, she couldn’t resist the pull of sleep and fell asleep on her couch.
.•° ✿ °•.
(Y/N) shot up with a gasp and her eyes immediately went to the space in front of the fireplace but it was empty. As she stood up as she tried to listen to see if he was still in the house she felt something fall off her and when she looked down she saw a blanket pooled around her feet, something she most definitely did not fall asleep with.
She bent down to pick it up when she heard shuffling in the kitchen and the blanket was quickly thrown aside in pursuit of the noise. She made her way towards the kitchen with quiet steps and peered around the corner and spotted the stranger at her kitchen table, yesterday's paper in hand with the glass of water beside him. There didn’t seem to be anything nefarious going on with the man so she walked into the kitchen, announcing herself to him.
“I’m surprised to see you up”
Dawn was breaking and (Y/N) could see blues and purples starting to appear in the sky which meant she was asleep for around four hours.
The man flinched in surprise and looked up at her and the first thing (Y/N) noticed was his blue eyes.
“You were asleep when I woke up” The man folded the newspaper up and placed it on the table and (Y/N) could see the way his body flinched in pain whenever he moved beyond his bounds.
“You could have woke me up. You had no issue placing a blanket on me” (Y/N) didn’t know how she was so calm now that the stranger was awake.
“The fire had gone out, you looked cold”
(Y/N) smiled at that before she walked further into the kitchen, “I’ll make us some tea. Are you hungry?”
The man shook his head but (Y/N) was going to make toast for him anyway.
With the toast and the tea on the table, (Y/N) took a seat opposite the man who returned to reading the newspaper, she watched him for a bit before she spoke to him, wanting to know more information.
“You know that’s yesterday’s paper right?” She started off with a soft conversation opener
The man looked at her and shrugged, “I was busy yesterday”
(Y/N) let her eyes run over his cuts and bruises, “I could tell”
The man placed the newspaper down and faced her fully before he asked the question that had been weighing on him since he woke up “Why did you take me in?”
“I thought you were some drunk at first and usually I would have left you there but it was raining and stumbling across a dead body on my way to work isn’t my favourite way to start the day.” (Y/N) told him, “I brought you in and then I saw your cuts so I cleaned them and patched them up”
The man fingered the bandage around his right hand and nodded his thanks towards (Y/N).
“Are you going to tell me how you become unconscious and dumped on the street?”
The mans face instantly screwed up at her question and (Y/N) quickly corrected herself,
“-Or not. You can keep your secrets”
They remained in silence after that, drinking their tea but it didn’t escape (Y/N)’s notice that the man ate the toast she had laid out.
When the clock struck eight, (Y/N) pushed herself away from the table and stood up,
“Look, I’ve got to get ready for work but you’re free to stay here if you want but please don’t burn my house down”
With that (Y/N) disappeared upstairs to get ready for the day and the only reason she had a skip in her step after only having four hours of sleep was because it was Friday.
.•° ✿ °•.
When (Y/N) returned home from work, she expected the man to have left but she found him relaxing on her couch like he owned it, though this time with a glass of whiskey and today’s newspaper, which meant he had definitely gone to the shops.
“You haven’t gone home?”
“You said I could stay”
“I did” (Y/N) sat down next to him, “Though I would appreciate if I knew the name of my stray”
The man’s lips twitched at her nickname for him before he stuck his hand out, “Tommy. Tommy Shelby”
(Y/N) shook his hand, “Nice to meet you, Tommy. I’m (Y/N).”
(Y/N) sunk into the couch with a tired huff, her long hours were not worth it but she couldn’t pay the bills otherwise.
“Do you know how to cook, Tommy?”
Tommy looked at her from the corner of his eye and shook his head, “I don’t but I know who can”
“Will they be able to cook for me?” (Y/N) was too tired to even make herself a sandwich
“I’m sure they’ll have no problem but first I need a phone and a car”
“I’ve got a phone but I can’t help you with a car”
“That’s fine” Tommy stood up and stretched, “Where are we? Is Small Heath nearby?”
“Small Heath? Yeah, it’s the next town over, maybe a fifteen-minute walk”
“Good, I’ve got a couple of phone calls to make. Where’s your phone?”
(Y/N) pointed at the kitchen and Tommy disappeared. She had no clue where he was going to take her nor what the relevance of Small Heath was but the man interested her and she was keen to find out more.
Tommy returned and raised his eyebrows at her, “You ready?”
“Yup!” (Y/N) jumped up from the couch and picked up her coat and handbag before she followed Tommy out of the house, “Where are we off too?”
“Small Heath first, gotta pick something up but then I’ll take you to where the food is”
(Y/N) nodded and followed him as he walked to Small Heath, the journey was quiet and short but (Y/N) wished she changed out of her heels because her feet were killing her.
When they arrived in Small Heath, Tommy strutted around like he owned the place and add the fact that everyone they walked by including police officers, nodded their head and called him ‘Mr Shelby’, (Y/N) wondered if she was far off by that assumption.
She followed behind him as he made his way down a street called, ‘Watery Lane’ and stopped at the house with a car outside it. He spoke to the man leaning against the house and took a pair of keys from him and had a little conversation before the man retreated back into the house but not before he took a look at her.
Tommy held the keys up at her and motioned for her to get into the car,
“C’mon let’s get going”
(Y/N) cautiously made her way into the car, nervous as she has never ridden in one before but she didn’t want to dawdle and waste time.
“Who’s car is this?” (Y/N) asked as Tommy pulled away from the curb, “And where are we going?”
“Company car and we’re going to Warwickshire”
“Company car?”
“My company”
Now (Y/N) was all the more confused on why he ended up outside of her house. If he owned a company and cars then he couldn’t have been in debt, though it was still a very small possibility.
“Right…”
(Y/N) ended up falling asleep on the journey to wherever Tommy was taking her and was woken up when he gently shook her awake.
“C’mon sleeping beauty, your food is waiting” Tommy whispered as she woke up.
“Fucking hell!” (Y/N) couldn’t help herself when she saw the house in front of her, it was bigger than all the houses on her street put together.
Tommy was already out of the car and heading towards the door so (Y/N) quickly jumped out and followed him, quietly marvelling at the house.  Tommy walked into the house and had only taken two steps when was ambushed by a maid.
“Mr Shelby! Where have you been? We haven’t seen you in two days and suddenly we get a call which only tells us to prepare some food” The maid is simultaneously  exasperated and worried, “Look, you’ve got all these cuts and-”
“Mary, it’s fine. I’m fine” Tommy cuts her off, “You have no reason to worry”
“Don’t need to worry-” Mary scoffed before she noticed (Y/N) for the first time and a flush came up her neck, embarrassed at being seen that way by a stranger.
“The uh chefs have finished dinner, everything is waiting in the dining room” Mary’s eyes never left her feet.
“Thank you, Mary”
(Y/N) quickly thanked the maid as well before she followed Tommy.
“You have a maid?!”
“Several, actually”
(Y/N) gaped at the man and his wealth, she was rendered speechless by everything that man did.
Tommy pushed open the door to one of the rooms and gestured that she go first, so she did and she found a large table filled with plates of food she had only dreamed of having. They were all extravagant and high quality, something she could never have afforded.
“Take this as a thank you for everything you did”
“I didn’t ask for all of this, I would have been fine with a simple meal”
“You did something stupid, taking a stranger in from the street….but I am thankful for what you did.” Tommy looked shy as he said those words, “Me giving you dinner, is the least I could do to repay you.”
“Well, I’m not complaining” (Y/N) said as she took a seat and pulled the closest dish towards her.
“You did though” Tommy deadpanned.
(Y/N) held up her thumb and index finger and brought them together until there was only a small gap between them, and grinned up at Tommy, “Only slightly though.”
Tommy took a seat opposite her and continued small talk with (Y/N) as she ate the food in front of her. She was a curious woman, snarky yet kind and considerate and he liked her.
“What’s your job?” He asked once she finished.
“Accountant” (Y/N) scowled, “Long hours, underpaid and undervalued, it’s my dream job”
“How about you work for me?”
(Y/N) choked on the water she was drinking, “E-Excuse me?”
“Obviously, I need to see how you work and if you are suitable to work for the company but what do you say?”
“Are you just doing this because of yesterday?” (Y/N) was unsure of where this was coming from.
“You said you were underpaid and undervalued, you won’t be if you work for me”
“What exactly is it you do?” (Y/N) had been curious as to how he got his massive house.
“Shelby Company Limited is in the business of exportation. We export goods from Birmingham around the world, specifically car parts” Tommy drawled as if he was repeating a pitch for rich investors.
“Where’s the office, Small Heath?”
Tommy nodded, “What do you think?”
“What am I getting paid?”
Tommy gave a little smirk, “Above average, I assure you. Plus additional benefits.”
(Y/N) nodded after a moment and stuck her hand out, “You’ve got a deal”
Tommy took her hand and shook it once, as a confirmation of their agreement.
“I’ll pick you up on Monday and take you to the office where you can sign the paperwork.”
“Sounds good but speaking of, how am I supposed to get home tonight?”
Tommy looked at the clock in the room and was surprised at how late it was, “It’s late, you can stay the night, there’s plenty of guest rooms.”
“No shit”
Tommy ignored (Y/N)’s comment, “I’ll have a driver take you home tomorrow.”
“Thank you.”
“If you’re done here, Mary can show you to your room”
“Absolutely.”
As (Y/N) followed Mary upstairs, she realised she never found out why Tommy was left unconscious outside of her house.

illicit affairs
pairing: sheriff lee bodecker x younger! reader
warnings: smut (18+), cheating, age gap
a/n: i love perfumes which smell of daisies so i made the reader use something like that. i do imagine her going for a very much female appearance and aura despite her personality and i can see lee fancying that sort of fragile femininity look paired with her independency. this song is based of illicit affairs from taylor swift but i was also listening to all too well at some points so i think some of that passed onto the writing. hope you enjoy xx

Leave the perfume on the self that you picked up just for him so you leave no trace behind like you don’t even exist. Take the words for what they are a dwindling, mercurial high, a drug that only worked the first few hundred times ... And you wanna scream don’t call me “kid”, don’t call me “baby”, look at this idiotic fool that you made me. You taught me a secret language I can't speak with anyone else. And you know damn well for you I would ruin myself a million little times ...
The snow settled onto the ground, a view she could see from her white window. Sprawled against her window pane, the blue soft fabric of her dress cascaded down her body as she watched the snow fall and become one with the mass of white covering the once green grass of her home. Her feet dangled in anticipation, hair cascading into hairdresser set curls, held away from her face with a pearl barrette. Her fingers dangled across her collarbones, feeling the cold matching pearls which unlike her barrette clip, had been offered to her by Lee on thanksgiving. “A pretty girl like you deserves her own pearls” his voice echoed in her mind whenever her feeling felt the smooth irregular circle shapes of the pearls laying against her collarbones. There was nothing more than she wanted than to wear those pearls to the police winter ball, to show up wearing something he had bought for her with what money he gathered from his fickle Captain position, but she couldn’t. Everyone knew what she had, what jewellery she had, it was all valued at the insurance centre downtown and the pearl necklace definitely wasn’t. Her own pearls rested inside her ivory jewellery box along with the ribbon she was wearing around her waist when she first kissed him, and the comb that held her hair in place whenever she met him during windy nights.
Her grandmother had left before her, leaving with the grocery shop owner as her date for the ball but she had stayed behind. She had told her she’d rather go alone, blaming her loneliness on the fact all the boys her age were either engaged thus going with their wives and the single ones not wanting to do with her. Of course that was further from the truth and as she watched the snow fall, she imagined Lee’s cruiser driving through the snow, stopping in front of her home and knocking on her door to take her. But those were nothing but impossible scenarios created from the deepest part of her psyche. Looking over her shoulder, the clock on her bedside table shone 9PM into bold red letters. She should get going before her grandmother got worried. Her eyes lingered across her beauty parlour to the silver platter with her perfume, the one she’d picked just for him after hearing how much he loved the smell of daisies. She had to leave it, she couldn’t put any perfume on, she couldn’t take her pearls, she doesn’t exist. At least, she as Lee’s lover does not exist for all that everyone could know and nothing hurt more than the sound of her pearls returning to her ivory box. It was were they belonged, away from everyone, hidden, a mysterious sin secret.
With her white fur wrapped around her arms, she entered her glossy yet dull red car, pulling the hood up despite the weather. She wanted to feel the cold, she wanted that numbness to hide what she had been feeling for the last months. It was all so exhilarating when it began; the summer walks, laying in the middle of the forest in an old towel as he feed her ripe strawberries, escaping from her grandmother’s house at night and meeting him up under the apple tree in light dresses. However, at time wind down, she started to crave the rest of a relationship, the holding of hands. Instead what she got was clandestine meetings in parking lots, behind the bars or in the middle of the forest when no one could see them. She constantly told herself it was going to eventually be her turn, he was gonna leave Jane for her. Yet, she seemed to constantly fall on the same error every mistress before her did, the mistake of forgetting her place. Stopping in front of the old town hall where the ball was being held, she could see the soft lights, hear the laughter and it made her sick. She didn’t want to go in, she didn’t want to see those happy couples but she had too. She had to put up a show, be the little pedestal trouble starter woman she was expected to be and so she would.
Stepping into the hall, her eyes immediately found Lee in the corner speaking with the Sheriff, arm draped over Jane’s shoulder while the other hand held a clear cup probably with his favourite drink. Her heart sunk to the same place it always did as she got lost in the dance floor. She knew everyone in this town hall, from the first boy she ever kissed Jonah and his third wife Elizabeth to Billy whom had been prom king with her. There was nothing new anymore and what once felt new and true was now anchoring her inside a fishbowl of images of her own mistakes and unfulfilled life needs.
      - Hey, Y/N. - Billy called out for her attention. She held onto the fur wrapped around her for comfort as she prepared her facade of a happy girl at a happy party. - Your grandma told me you ain’t gotta a partner for tonight. Could’ve told me, I would’ve taken you.
      - It’s ok, ain’t like I need a man. - she replied, almost angrily although he deserved no anger from her. - What’s the stage for? We’re getting a band tonight?
      - No, the new sheriff candidates announcing themselves tonight. Prepare for the blood bath.
      - Sounds interesting. - she spoke out, her voice getting mumbled out as the mic’s sound hurt her and everyone else’s ear. The police chief stood there in his best attire, holding a small piece of papers, his fat thumbs hitting the mic to gather everyone’s attention. He already had their attention merely by wearing a cowboy’s hat with a formal suit.
       - Now folks, we all now how much we gonna miss our good old Sheriff but it’s time to elect a new one. - his southern accent was pronounced, too pronounced, cartoonish even. Y/N remembered laughing as a child when she first heard him speak only to immediately shut up when her grandmother looked her way with a look which left room for no questions. She herself had barely developed an accent, her grandmother still very keen on instilling in her the education she herself had gotten. However, the longer she spent with Lee, the more it would sometimes slip; one or two words, nothing major. - Of course, Leroy is running again.
     - I don’t know why he tries. - Y/N whispered to Billy, concealed laughing smile behind her hand.
     - You gotta admit it’s a good thing to imagine. Damned Leroy and his prostitutes running the town? We’d be forgotten by God.
     - We’re already forgotten by God. We were banished from the garden of Eden, don’t you remember? - she teased, always enjoying to toy around with the religion Knockemstiff was so hang up on. - We’re probably direct descendants.
     - You ought to keep that mouth shut if you don’t wanna get in trouble. - he warned yet it went through deaf ears. Y/N liked stirring it, specially when it came to things which were so analytically flawed.
The regular list of candidates continued to go from officers to common folk who all believed they could make the town better. At least that was all they said they wanted to get some votes but at the end of the day, they just wanted to control the town with an iron fist. Do what they wanted without anyone question it. She couldn’t blame it, humans are hardwired to go crazy for power and let it consume them so she just let it pass. She knew all the candidates, they were always the same. Leroy, Matthew, Edwards ... all the common ones, she even wondered why they kept announcing it. Those three competing for the sheriff position was as certain as the sun coming up each morning.
      - The last candidate is our cap’tain Bodecker. - her head snapped to the stage as every sound seemed to dim until she was surrounded by pure silence. All she could hear was the buzz from her ears as she watched him climb up the stairs to the stage, shaking the chief’s hands.
Everything seemed to be stuck in slow motion yet her mind was running faster than a shot bullet. The clapping was slow, everything was silent yet she could see their hands slowly clap and their lips moving in whispers. Her eyes roamed the crowd finding Jane right in front of the stage, looking up at him with adoration at the possible place she could possible hold; the sheriff’s wife. The slow motion ended with a loud crash and suddenly everything seemed just too fast. She ignored Billy’s pleas for her attention and moved straight to the small plastic tables covered in burgundy towels to make it look fancier where all the drinks and food were being held. One of her only friends from high school Mary was the one in charge, happily serving food and drinks to anyone who asked.
     - Hi Y/N. - she always looked like the perfect housewife and that was always what she wanted to be. Beautiful, bountiful blonde hair with a few flowers matching her pink dress. Despite it all, she was always nice to her even with their different life goals.
     - Hey Mary. How’s Paul? I heard from rumours you two had quite a nice honeymoon. St.Louis, right?
     - Yes. He booked us a nice honeymoon suite, it had flowers and those heart shaped beds and chocolates. It was real nice, I’m hoping to be pregnant soon. What about you? Your grandmother said you came alone. You could’ve told me, my brother would’ve taken you.
    - That’s alright, Mary. I don’t intend to stay for long ... Uhm, can I have a drink?
    - Of course. Sidecar, as per usual?
    - I think I’ll just have a double cognac, please. Or maybe some gin ... whatever can make me dizzy the fastest.
    - Everything, okay?
    - Just need to forget some stuff, it’ll be okay. - she forced a smile. At least half that phrase was true. Mary served her up with her best gin and she returned to the dance floor, trying to blend with the rest of the attendees, however her baby blue dress was much too different from anything else in town.
Y/N thought she’d be best outside where no one could see her and so she left, avoiding Billy who kept asking for her. She leaned against the old wood of the town hall, mascara running down her cheeks, and gin glass on the other one. She looked like the perfect warning tale of why you should not mess her married men. She knew better, she knew so much better but she still did it, like the idiotic little fool she seemed to be. Y/N sighed, the air condensing in the air as she drank from the glass.
     - Pull yourself together, Y/N. - she looked to see side, her grandmother standing outside with the look she used to give her when Y/N embarrassed her as a little girl. - What did you expect?
     - I’m just not having a good day, nana.
     - You’re hanging around with Captain Bodecker that’s what you’re doing.
     - What?
     - Don’t play innocent with me, Y/N. You’re just like your mother and I’ve raised your mother so I’d know. I saw you leave in his car last week. Do you want to defend yourself?
     - Is it even worth it? - she took a sip out of her drink. - What do you want me to say?
     - I want you to pull yourself together and go inside. You better have this finished off before those elections start. I will not have my granddaughter be a home wrecker.
Y/N ignored it. There was nothing her grandmother could say that hurt more than what she was already feeling. She watched the snow fall from the cover of the banner covering the town hall, cold and icy yet somehow warmer than her. The drink didn’t last forever and although it was much stronger than what she was used to, she didn’t feel the slightest bit dizzy. It was if the universe was punishing her for her choices. She shook her head, leaving the glass onto one of the windows. She’d be better off at home and she’d already made her appearance. If someone asked where she was, she could’ve blamed it on their drunkness. Opening her little clutch, she started fishing for her keys through a sea of change, makeup and receipts.
    - You better not be thinking of driving after you just drank. - she turned her head to see Lee with his hands on his waist, playfully smiling at her. His smile faded as he noticed the streaks of mascara from her eyes to her jaw. - Did that shithead Billy say something?
     - No ... Lee, I wanna go home okay. - she sighed. - Can you just pretend you didn’t see me drink?
     - I was hoping we could spend the night together. Rent a hotel room outside town. A real nice place, with a pool and some room service. My treat of course.
     - I ... We can’t, Lee. Your wife is inside as she’s gonna notice you’re not there and you’re not home.
     - She’s going home early. Jane’s been taking a few sleeping pills. She’s down for the night, won’t even notice. - he took a few steps closer to her, knowing everyone was too drunk to even remember. - I was waiting for you to come greet me, congratulate me. I can’t believe my girl wanted to leave before showing me how pretty she looked.
     - You didn’t tell me you were running for Sheriff. - he cupped her face, thumb caressing her cheek. - You said it was a silly position.
     - Yeah but ... it’s a Sheriff. I could become Mayor, ya know. The old sheriff thinks I’d be good for it. - he scratched the back of his neck, something he always did whenever he was nervous or was confronted by something he did not expect. Y/N had learned to read him and knew him better than her own favourite books. - C’mon, kid. It’s a night worth celebrating, don’t you think?
     - Don’t call me kid. - she shot her head his way, his word hitting a particular hurt spot which she didn’t realise she had.
     - Hey, I’m not trying to mock ya. - he rose his hands. - What’s wrong, huh baby? Hm? Tell me sugar, I hate it when you’re upset. Besides, if it was that Billy kid I’ve been wanting to give him a good beating.
    - Don’t call me baby, either. - she sighed, throwing her purse inside the car, before turning to him. - Billy didn’t do anything I’m just ... tired.
    - I’ll drive you home, then.
    - I don’t wanna go home either. - she pushed her hair from her forehead, looking at the ground. The snow engulfed her feet and her shoes, yet it might as well have engulfed her entire being. Lee noticed her lip trembling and how her free hand was trying to stop tears from falling down. He looked behind him, the town hall door shut, before taking his jacket off, draping it over her shoulders, and opening the car door for her.
Y/N daren’t look him in the eye, instead sitting in the passenger seat as he pushed the hood of her car up. After all, most people did not enjoy driving in the snow with the hood up. She didn’t know where he was taking her and for all it mattered she didn’t want to know. If he was driving her to her killing location, it sounded much better than having to work out through the bubbling feelings in her tummy. Y/N didn’t even noticed how much she was crying until the tears started streaming so fast they were falling onto the palms of her hands like diamond daggers. She leaned her head against his shoulder, watching the road ahead through the blurry orbs of her own eyes, trying to find some warmth through him. The drive seemed endless and her mind rushed in an even more endless way as she considered all her choices til now. She found it unbearable how not guilty she didn’t feel about it. She could still remember the feeling of the cold water against her body and his lips against hers, being tangled in his bed sheets while he drank a beer, his grunts as he thrusted into her inside his patrol car. She remembered every detail either it being lust or romantic but most importantly she remembered how he looked at her. It was almost as through rose coloured glasses, most of the times agreeing with her pessimist view of the town she was in. Lee looked down on her, watching her perfect hair break through the gelled curls she had set down. He never liked the polished look anyway, he loved to see her walk in her white dresses and freshly washed hair flowing with the wind. This woman sat next to him was gorgeous but he preferred his Y/N, he preferred the woman who would poke fun of casualty and rush into the woods with her nightgown. This woman next to him was pretty yes but she seemed tainted by a sadness he could see yet couldn’t help. He didn’t want his Y/N to be the slightest bit sad. She did not deserve it. She was too pure, too young to be consumed by the loneliness, darkness and sadness that came with being an adult. Yet again, he had to start learning the young woman she was wouldn’t stay young forever. He wanted to know how to help. he wanted to be the man who wakes up next to her on summer mornings and winter evenings but life is not how we plan it out to be.
She watched the snow fall from her window as “You are my sunshine” played on the background from her radio. Looking up to him, his eyes were glued to the road, the sign of leaving Knockemstiff way past them and the hotel on the horizon. She called it the Heartbreak hotel, with its red walls and luxurious nature. A more fancy place for those who wanted to give a better night to their mistresses but that was not why she called it the heartbreak hotel. It was due to the fact she ended up crying every time she or he left. While inside those walls, she could pretend they were Mr. and Mrs. Bodecker, young couple moved out of Knockemstiff on a romantic getaway yet she wasn’t Mrs. Bodecker, Jane was. She had seen who the future sheriff’s wife was and it was not and it would never be her. He stopped the car in the parking lot, looking at her who was lost in thought, leaned against his shoulder.
   - Come on, sugar. What is it? - Lee kissed the top of her head. - The heck happened in that Town Hall?
    - Just being silly, Lee. - she shook her head, faking a smile. - Just don’t like parties one bit.
    - I hate ‘em too, sugar. All show no action. Besides no party is a party without my baby. - he hooked his ring finger under her chin, softly pulling it up. She tried not to look at the moonlight illuminating the silver band around his finger, a symbol he belonged to someone else and she knew it. She had seen the wedding photo on his secretary, a much younger Lee with a much younger Jane with the facade of a happy marriage. Thinking about it always made her sick and ever since seeing that picture she couldn’t bring herself to do so. - Come on, let’s get you a bubble bath, yeah?
She followed him into the hotel almost in a zombie like state until the reception. The talk was a dance she had danced before, it was all the same. Lee would present money in cash so it wouldn’t show up on his credit card statement. He would sign in with a fake address but with his own name and no one would question it. After all, the staff wanted money, they didn’t care if it was an illicit affair or not. To be honest, she didn’t care much anymore.
     - Mrs. Bodecker? Mrs. Bodecker? - the receptionist called out to her but it didn’t even register until she was looking her into the eyes. Mrs. Bodecker, she was definitely not. - Would you like a complementary tea? You look cold.
     - No, it’s okay. - she smiled while Lee grabbed the keys. His hand wrapped itself around hers, leading her over to the elevator.
God, she wanted him. She really did, he thought to himself. It was an unbelievable feeling to have someone who loved him back, someone who always had encouraging words to tell him, someone who would stay after a fight. He thought and imagine what it would’ve been like if she was born earlier, god he would’ve courted her and would’ve married her the second they were out of high school. Sadly, the woman he loved was born 10 years after and he met her when he was married. He led her to the 13th hotel room and closed the door behind them.
     - Things are gonna be different when I’m sheriff. No more sneaking around, no one will dare  say a word. I can move to Brewer Heights, heck, I can buy two houses, one just for you and me.
    - Lee ...
    - Where are your pearls, sugar? You know I love to see you with them, makes you look so pretty.
    - You know I can’t wear them in public, Lee. I am not your ... - she shouldn’t say that, she should not let those words out. - They’re not insured under my name, people would comment about it.
     - You worry too much. - he pushed the fur that covered her arms down, placing a small kiss on her elbow. - My little over-thinker.
     - One of us has too, Captain Bodecker.
     - How about some champagne? - he pointed towards the champagne bottle in the ice bucket by the dresser before walking towards it, raising it so he could inspect the brand. He longed for the finest things in life, no longer wanting to be that middle to low class man he’d been forced to be. Being Sheriff, Mayor someday was going to be really something, it’d be his chance.
    - I’m not 21 yet, Captain.
    - Only a month til you are, kid. - he filled two long crystal flutes, handing it over to them. - By then I should stop calling you kid, huh?
    - You shouldn’t call me kid, now. - she took a sip of the golden liquid, hoping it would take away her jealousy. Lee hummed, leaned over to kiss the crock of her neck, climbing up to her jaw in a move that was sure to leave marks. It was okay for him to leave marks on her, she was unmarried, young but on him? Sometimes she wanted to, sometimes she wanted to mark his pale plump skin as a possession, one that screamed Jane might have the wedding ring but she had the man. Yet, she couldn’t. - You look so handsome tonight.
    - You’re my worse critic. - he smirked, placing his glass on the bedside table before pulling her chin towards him, placing a soft kiss on her plump, painted lips. - God, you can’t even imagine how fucking hard I got when you walked in.
    - Such gentle behaviour. - she teased, fingers lightly tracing the skin of his face. He moaned, leaning in to kiss her again. - I wore it just for you. Blue. I knw you like it.
    - You’re always such a good girl for me. - he started to remove his jacket, pushing on her chest lightly so she laid against the luxurious bed.
The alcohol sure did a better job than her about making her forget what she was doing it. The alcohol and his kiss, his touch on her skin made her forget the clench in her heart when she saw Jane Bodecker clap once they said his name. It made her forget she couldn’t hear perfume around him unless he showered, it made her forget. Both of her moaned through the kiss, seemingly unconcerned with the fact that it was a sin. Maybe that’s why it taste so sweet, the sin, the thrill. None of them cared really and all he wanted to do now was hold her, touch her, look at her.
    - You are so beautiful. - he spoke, more to himself than to her specifically, leaning down on the bed as he spread her legs, taking his place in between them which was so familiar to him. Lee ran his knuckles through the middle of her folds, cold hands making her shiver. - Ev’ry darn day I wake up and I think, I got myself the most beautiful woman in the world.
Her eyes were glued to the ceiling, the white paint of it engulfing her as his hands caressed her thighs. All she could feel were his cold hands massaging the skin of her thighs, spreading them apart and giving him full access to her. His lips attacked her core, always chapped which made her feel so good, it made her know it was him giving her that pleasure. She moaned out loud as he dwelled in like a starved man, her head relaxing against the pillow. There was never any mercy with him, he teased her like he owned her, focusing on her clit while licking her folds. He had her exactly where he wanted her - starving for him.
   - You’re gonna see. - he mumbled out while he relentlessly ate her out. - When I’m sheriff there will be no more hidin’. No one gonna dare say anythin’ about it.
   - Lee, please ... no foreplay. - she whined, begged even as he stopped his motions. His eyes curiously searched for hers, hands pulling his body up as he stood on top of her. - I just want to feel you.
   - Weren’t you feelin’ me, sugar?
   - You know what I mean, Lee. - she wrapped her hands around his neck, head cocked to the side. - I don’t want any foreplay today.
    - Oh sugar ... - he chuckled leaning down to kiss her collarbone. - You’re just a cock slut for me, aren’t ya? Can’t just wait for me to treat ya right ain’t it, baby?
     - Lee, please. - she whined, hands wavering over his police issued chunky belt. Lee smirked, holding her hand before she could do anything. Y/N pouted, head leaning against her shoulder. - C’mon.
   - But baby, you look so pretty when you’re begging. - he returned to kiss her neck, leaving marks which were sure to become hickeys tomorrow but she didn’t care. No one was going to see it. - I was expecting you to come congratulate me in the way you always do, maybe in the back of the town hall. Hoping someone would catch us so they’d see you’re my girl.
    -  Lee ... -  she whined as he kept kissing her neck and collarbones. - Please.
    - Tell me what you want, baby. You know I do everything you want. - he rose from her neck, toothy grin as he leaned down to kiss her plump, pink painted lips. - Tell me you want my big fat cock. I know you do, baby. Tell me how much you need it.
  - Lee ... please, need you.
  - You have me, baby, tell me what you need. Tell me what you want. - his knuckles ran through the middle of her folds again. - You’re so wet, baby. Just tell me what you want, c’mon
  -  Lee ... please. - she looked at him with those wide eyes that could get someone to commit murder for her, as he pushed down his trousers. - I want you to fuck me with your ... big fat cock, Capitain.
  - Oh, baby ... - he leaned his forehead against hers as he pushed his cock past her entrance, eyes shut tight  as he tried to keep himself sane at the mere feeling of her walls contracting against him. His lips found hers as he shed himself fully into her. Her hand searched for his, as Lee slowly rolled his hips against hers, basking in the mere high that was being inside of her. - You okay, baby?
  - Yeah. ... fuck, move. - she whined as he removed himself from her and pushed back in, slowly starting to rock into her as he always did. The little tease. Her hand clenched his as he speed up his thrusts, lips returning to hers in a messy, moaned filled kiss. All she could hear was the sound of skin against skin and interrupted breathing. - Lee, fuck.
  - I know, baby. - he laughed, returning to kiss her the way he liked as her walls started to clench more forcefully against his member, milking him for all he was worth. His free hand grabbed her hip as he further sped up against her, bruising her skin as his breaths got more raggedy. He bite onto her neck as he felt his control over his own orgasm disappear.
  - Lee, fuck! - she moaned, almost raising off the bed as her own orgasm washed over her. Her head fell against the pillow, sluggish as he continued to thrust into her until ropes and ropes of cum painted her walls. He chuckled mid grunt, holding her against him as he turned around in bed.
  - You all fucked up, aren’t ya, sugar? - he kissed the top of her head. - You’re gonna see, sugar. Things are gonna be so much better.
  - Right ... - she cuddled against his chest. - Hm ... Lee can you drive me back home early on?
  - Early shift?
  - Yeah.
  - Okay, sugar.
The morning was a harsh breaker of dreamy hazes and just like that she was back to the place where she always was, in her home, surrounded by the scent of the perfume she had bought just for him. She sat on her dress, taking the necklace he had given her from the little mother of pearl seashell shaped box and holding them against her chest. She loved him, she really did. Some people had their downfalls and hers was painted onto her neck and held by her hands. He was her downfall.
The sun was high up on the snowy midday in Knockemstiff and once again Lee had been resigned to desk duty after the Sheriff not taking it too lightly he decided to run without his permission. Normally he would’ve been upset but he knew, he knew he was close to winning and then he could throw away those stupid hotels and just get her a little house close to him. God, he couldn’t fucking wait.
    - Captain Bodecker, someone here for you. - his secretary knocked on his door. - Mary Gillies, sir.
    - Mary Gillies? - he knew her to be a friend of Y/N’s, perhaps her only friend other than that punk Billy. - Send her in.
    - Good afternoon, captain. - she said as she walked into his office. - I’m so sorry to be bothering but Y/N ...
    - Is she alright? - he interrupted her.
    - Yes, well ...  - she rummaged through her bag to find a cushioned envelope with his name on it. - She told me to give you this.
   - What is it?
   - I don’t know, captain. I must get going, my husband is waiting for me.
   - Of course. Thank you, Mrs. Gillies.
He waited for the woman to be out of his office and for the door to be shut for him to open the envelope. The minute he opened the envelope, pearls fell into his desk, the same pearls he had given Y/N followed by a small note in the dusty pink stationary that normally laid on her dresser. Turning it around, he saw the words he’d been dreading to read or hear ever since he met her. I’m sorry, Lee. He threw the letter on his desk before getting up from his desk as fast as he could, ignoring the calls from his colleagues as he got into his cruiser. Damned, Brewer Heights, why couldn’t it be closer?
He approached her home fast and closed the door as fastly as he ran up to the door. Her hag of a grandmother was possibly at church and he had learned where they kept the spare key; behind a violet pot. His heart was beating as fast as a deer on a hunt as he climbed up the stairs and found the once filled room was empty, with only a perfume bottle on her empty dresser. He observed the whole room as if he were in a nightmare, sitting on her bed as he clenched the pearls he had given her not so long ago, the smell of daisies in the air as some song played on the still turned on radio.
You never know dear how much I love you. Please don’t take my sunshine away ...
